Wedding Blues (Tim/Helen Lovejoy)
Trying to get back into the swing of writing to work on some original projects as well as some sona/OC stories for friends. So in the meantime, here’s a little short about the Lovejoys. Enjoy!
The wedding reception was in full swing well into the late evening, and the open bar still had another two hours to go before closing for the night. Luckily for Timothy Lovejoy, the bride and groom listed him as a guest as well as a vendor, so he could partake in the flowing of free booze even after his ceremonial duties to unite the couple. He was on his seventh glass by the time he stepped outside for some fresh air - much like some of the other guests of the event. Yet unlike them, he came out not to smoke or laugh with friends, but to sit alone and stare up at the moon.
His tie was already loose, his jacket long gone since the first dance. His feet ached, and so he removed his shoes to let them cool on the cold stones outside the reception hall. He sat in the garden, propped up against the trunk of a tree, and he stared up at the sky, his head only slightly spinning.
Weddings made him sad. At least ones he had to provide services for anyway. It was usually around his fifth drink he started to get a case of the blues, and by his seventh, he’d be outside on his own to breathe, away from them all until the slow dances began. It was pretty routine after so many years.
Soft clicks of high heeled shoes grew louder and louder as someone approached him on the cobbled sidewalk. He turned his head to see Helen appear beside him, her hand holding up her lavender bridesmaids dress to keep from tripping. Without any prompting from either of them, she placed a hand on the tree and carefully slid herself down to sit in the space of grass beside him. He lifted his arm for her to lean onto his chest, and she hung onto him as she too kicked her shoes off.
“I was wondering when you were going to come out here,” she said.
“You were talking to Cookie and Bernice. I didn’t want to interrupt.”
“Well, all the good gossip’s been talked out of me, and I’m tired of listening to Bernice talk about their trip to Cancun this summer. I saw you sneak out, and I thought it was perfect timing.”
The two continued to lean on each other when one of the employees of the venue approached with a tray of drinks and offered them. They each took one, even though Tim’s other drink was still half full by his side. He’d just save it for later.
“Everyone’s been telling me all night how the ceremony was just beautiful,” Helen continued. “And I just can’t help myself but to tell them all how my Timothy really does his best work when it comes to couples he likes.”
“Thanks, Helen.” “It really makes the bride feel special, you know?” she went on. “To feel liked.”
Although in reality, he only gave his best ceremonies when his wife was part of the bridal party. Part of their silent agreement when it came to weddings to make the other look good.
“Mhm…”
Helen sat up a bit to look at him. “Is everything okay, Tim?”
“Hm? Oh yes, yes, you know how it goes sometimes with these things.” He took a drink from his new glass he hadn’t set aside yet.
“Anything you want to talk about?”
“Just the usual.” He swished the alcohol around in the glass, listening to the ice clink. “I’m glad you’re having a good time.”
“Oh, the best. This is probably one of my favorites you’ve done in the past three - no - five years.”
Tim glanced over to her and smiled. “Then there’s nothing to worry about. You run along, Helen, and go find your friends. I’ll be back in a minute before the slow songs start.”
“Are you sure?”
He nodded.
She smiled back at him, a little concerned, but mostly thankful, and she kissed his cheek before using his shoulder to push herself back up onto her feet. She used the tree to steady herself as she slipped her shoes back on.
“Don’t be too long, please. I requested our first dance from our wedding to the DJ, and he might play it first.”
“I won’t miss it, Helen.”
She nodded to him and turned back toward the reception hall with her drink in hand.
Tim watched her leave and then sat back against the tree with his eyes closed, taking in slow deep breaths of cold air to sober himself up just a bit more.
Just a few more minutes, and he’d be fine to put the smile back on and go inside again. As sad as these things made him deep down, for reasons he wasn’t ready to face yet, it did make him happy to see her happy. All the heartache in the world would be worth it just to have her mend it with a few side steps and a kiss to that special song they danced to so many years ago.

Michelle & Troy
Meet The Bullock’s! Michele & Troy were married February 29, 2020 (leap year!) at Hotel Syracuse (Marriott Syracuse Downtown). Michele wore Mikaella bridal style 2105 with a custom designed neckline, and styled it with fox fur cuffs and her grandmothers vintage fur for photos. All photos by Michelle Gonzalez Photography.
“We were just two 7th graders off to Christian Brothers Academy! I walked into homeroom rocking my braces, matching necklace, earrings and bracelet, headband and bow, backpack and purse ready to take on the world of middle school! (MOM-How could you ever let me leave the house like that?!) Troy, returned the night before from Cancun. He couldn't wait to get home and start his first day of school! That's where it all began...
I noticed Troy right away when I walked into homeroom. It took Troy a bit more time but it wasn't long before we were flirting our way through computer class! Just a few short years later, Ricki, my older brother, had a basketball "get together" at the house and Troy, being on the Varsity team, was invited. It was at that gathering, we really started to connect and become close friends. Troy finally had the courage to ask me out the night of my Sweet 16 party 3 months later. And the rest was history...
Well, not really. Ok...not at all! When you start dating at 16, you get to experience ALL the teenage years together and then ALL the college years. For us, this meant a lot of finding ourselves/maturing/breaking up/getting back together/breaking up again/maybe one or two more times/but always finding our way back! We always had the MOST fun together. After college, Troy moved home to Syracuse to start his real estate career and I went off to NYC. We both took countless road trips back and forth from Syracuse to the city and the city to Syracuse to see each other! It was 3 years in when we decided I'd move back to Syracuse and we'd give it a real shot. BEST decision we ever made!”
Who said I love you first? “Troy did! Keep in mind we were 16 :) It was over the phone one night.”
On how he proposed: “We both went to college in Philadelphia. Troy decided to surprise me with a trip to Philadelphia. A couple of days before he suggested a fun weekend getaway. After a full day of shopping, cocktail bar hopping we went to an incredible Italian restaurant for dinner. When leaving, he suggested we walk home through Rittenhouse Square. We stopped in the square and chatted on a park bench. We were talking about life and the good memories we had together in Philadelphia from college. The next thing I know, he is down on one knee! It was so romantic! I cried and said yes before he could finish!
“We were gifted a honeymoon to a private home on the beach in Cancun, Mexico. It was absolutely gorgeous!”
“I felt untouchable in my dress. I couldn’t wait to walk down the aisle and see him for the first time on our wedding day! Most importantly, I felt comfortable and like myself! My wedding dress was the dress I always envisioned for myself, TO A T. When I was first engaged I described my dream dress to be the exact dress I ended up wearing, a long sleeved crepe, fitted, open back with buttons and v neck in the front.
I started dress shopping and described my dream dress at every boutique. A couple of different stores pulled the Mikaella dress Style 2105 and when I tried it on I said I wished it was a vneck (the original style is a boat neckline). Two different stores said I could not customize the neckline as it would alter the integrity of the dress. When I visited Silk Bridal Boutique, I once again described my dream dress. Kendra said she had the perfect dress and once again pulled the Mikaella dress style 2105. I tried it on and told her that I absolutely loved it but wanted it to be a V neck. SHE was the first person to tell me that the designer could make the customizations I wanted. She contacted the designer to confirm, and the designer was more than willing to make the alterations. Don’t give up on the vision you want, someone will make it happen!”
On wedding planning: “I loved taste testing at the venue because who doesn't love great food and I LOVED dress shopping. I felt like a total princess. I also loved how many fun planning sessions my mom and I had. Some people say planning can be really stressful but we loved it! The hard part was making the guest list and trying to stay within a certain number. I wish I could have invited absolutely everyone AND everyone with a plus one but that was not realistic. I hated hurting people's feelings but I realized, it was not possible to invite everyone and we had to stick to a number and within a budget.”
“The best memory was being out on the dancefloor with my husband in the middle of all of our friends and family breaking it down! It was pure bliss.”
“I’m looking forward to growing together and becoming better versions of ourselves. I learn so much from him and he continues to challenge me and make me stronger! Also, travelling. We want to see the world together (as soon as Covid settles down).”
A huge thank you to our sweet bride Michelle & husband Troy for allowing us to feature them this week! It’s crazy to think that Michelle was married just about a year ago, what a difference a year can make! Here’s to many more filled with love, laughter & happiness together.
XO

How to Plan a Hen Party Abroad
So, you are looking to plan a hen party abroad? Well, it really is no different from planning a hen party in the UK. The only difference is the flights, and, oh yeah – you’re in a totally different country!!
With many flight and tour operators offering cheap package deals and weekend breaks to some of the world’s best party destinations, your hen party abroad can often work our at around the same price as a hen party in the UK.
So, round up your bride tribe, dig out the passports, get the sun cream at the ready and let’s take a look at ‘How to plan a hen party abroad’!
Set Up Your Hen Party WhatsApp Group
So, the first step to planning a hen party abroad is setting up your very own hen party WhatsApp group. Why? To make your life a whole lot easier! There are going to be other people attending the hen party abroad so you need to ensure that the hen party destinations & the dates are convenient for everyone in the group!
Setting up a hen party WhatsApp group will also allow you to send prices, images, website links, costs and updates to the whole group with ease!
It will allow your bride tribe to share their ideas, ask any questions about the hen party abroad & you will be able to communicate with everyone at once, rather than individual messages.
Choose Your Hen Party Destination
Choosing the hen do destination is undoubtedly one of the most time-consuming tasks! However luckily for you, we have created the Top 10 hen do destinations in 2020 guide!
We have covered everywhere from Ibiza and Benidorm, right through to Dubai and Cancun so make sure you check it out!
There are so many options available so discuss this is over a glass of wine with your bride tribe, or send the hen do destination options to your WhatsApp group.
Better still, why not create a poll with this nifty little tool and send the link in the WhatsApp group.
Let the bride tribe decide….
Select Yor Hen Party Activities
When you have your poll back and you have decided on the hen party destination, its now time to pick your hen do activities!
Remember, you are abroad so be creative with this! If you have booked through a hen party tour operator they will be able to help you with this, if not pick your own!
What about a themed pool party, beach BBQ, Ibiza cocktail masterclass, a day trip to the water park, a good old bar crawl or a VIP table at a nightclub!
Pack your days full of fun-filled activities, have the experience of a lifetime and create unforgettable memories!
Confirm Prices With Your Bride Tribe
You have decided on your hen party destination, selected all of your hen party activities and now it is all down to the price. If you have booked well in advance you can pay in instalments so find out what the breakdown is of the tour operator is and share this in the WhatsApp group.
Ensure everyone knows what the deposit payment is to book when the additional payments are required and the final payment! This way everyone will have the time to set some money aside and save up some pennies for the hen party abroad!
Send The Hen Party Itinerary
Your hen party abroad is all booked! Woohoo. So everyone knows what is happening day to day send over your bride tribe a brief itinerary of what will be happening day-to-day so everyone is on the same page.
All they need to know is the day and what activities are planned for that day. Simple! Send this over in the WhatsApp group to create some excitement! It’s time to get prepped for the hen party of a lifetime!
The Day Before
The time has come and you’re all set for the hen party abroad! As the hen party planner, you need to make sure that everyone is well prepared! Being a hen party there always time for a glass of prosecco or two at the airport.
Let everyone know what time to be at the airport for pre-drinks, what time the flight is and any other important information you can think of. Everyone will be excited at this point so be prepared for lots of chit chat and last minute questions!
Conclusion
Planning a hen party abroad is the same process as planning one in the UK. The only difference is the flights and the weather! As the hen party planner, it is up to up to you to stay organised! You can use tools like Trello or Milanote to help you keep everything in one place, set to do’s and reminders, or just use a good old calendar!
Remember, planning a hen party abroad should be fun! By planning everything in advance and having the right tools available to help you communicate and plan will ensure that you don’t become too overwhelmed with things!

Mexico Trip
So, in a few weeks, I am going to Mexico for the first time, Cancun to be specific for my brother-in-law’s wedding. And I find myself trying to figure out which camera(s) I am going to take.
What I know I am taking, since it will be up to me to take photos of the bride getting ready, and the reception afterwards (the resort has their own photographer that they have to use as part of the package for ceremony and formals), and they requested that I use digital for that. So I am bringing with me one of my M4/3 bodies, more than likely the Panasonic GX7, with my 15mm F/1.7 Summilux, 25mm F/1.4 Summilux and 45mm F/1.8. And that will be it for the digital stuff... well, other than the waterproof Nikon for the pool and ocean.
But, from here I am at a conundrum of what I want to take. I want everything to fit in my ThinkTank Urban Disguise 50 V2.0, so it is all contained and easy to keep track of. So, we are there for a week, and we will be visiting some Mayan Ruins, and I want to use some Chrome and some B&W film for that. But the real question, is do I take just a compact but capable 35mm system? Such as my Nikon F3, or Olympus OM4, or the Contax G1? Either way, I have a wide, standard and telephoto lens option to match what I can do with the M4/3.
Or do I go extra lightweight, and take both my Rollei 35′s (colour in one and B&W in the other) and make some room in the bag for my Yashica 124G to take some medium format photos of the Mayan Ruins. If I go with the latter option, I will be stuck shooting only with standard-ish lenses for my film shooting, but make room in the bag for more film. As film is what I would like to use the most while I am there for the keepsake images other than the wedding itself.
I am leaning to the G1 for the moment, as the 21mm, 45mm & 90mm as very compact, and that 21mm is the sharpest wide angle I have ever used. And out of all these options for systems, it will take up the least amount of space and give great images. The AF can be a bit twitchy on the G1 at times when shooting wide open; but I do not think it Mexico I will be shooting wide open all that much.

Let me just start this blog post by saying that sometimes the stars align, you meet someone that brings you joy, they enrich your lives and will forever hold a special place in your heart. While there is no doubt that Theresa and Nate have this but here, I am talking about my relationship with this couple. Theresa is truly one of the sweetest, most hard working individuals that I have ever met and she can no longer be called a client, I knew this, I felt this about 5 minutes into meeting her…she is my friend and I treasure her.
Our day started at Theresa’s sisters home with pre-ceremony coverage, where I truly believe that I witnessed a family dynamic that is unparalleled on so many levels. The entire family gets along so well and it made everything run so smoothly that we were able to leave and arrive at the Timberhouse to continue the getting ready photos. Once we completed the pre-ceremony coverage with Theresa complete with photos of her very soon to be in laws, we proceeded to another area to get photos of Nate and his family and groomsmen.
I have met Nate a few times but the stunning woman that is his mother has got to be the reason to which I had the honor of photographing Theresa and Nate’s wedding. Nate’s mother, Susan AKA Sue is so sweet and a long time friend of ours. She is an amazing chocolatier and the owner, operator of Noland Chocolates. Seriously, if you have not tried her chocolates, they are a must! They are so delicious and creamy and the take away box that Theresa and Nate packed up for me at the end of the night seriously saved my sanity of the weeks following their wedding haha. October is always a crazy month for me with several, always popular October weddings and my amazing daughter Addison’s birthday is on Halloween, which since she was born has become a month long celebration with Pumpkin Festivals and Fall farm visits all month long. But truly Sue Noland’s chocolates are amazing and I insist you try them I promise you won’t be disappointed!
FAVORITE MOMENT OF THE DAY: Pre-ceremony…who knew that it could or would happen so soon! Theresa and Nate’s only photo request was that we capture their prayer prior to the ceremony. You will see tons of wedding samples on Pinterest that have a photo of the bride and groom on either side of the door, to preserve that precious first moment of seeing each other as being that moment that she walks down the aisle but this, this was different. These two are starting their lives together is the best way, they are putting God first! A marriage requires three people for it to be whole, to be successful, for it to be long lasting and true. Those three people are a bride, a groom and God. These two…they just get it!
We had gorgeous 82 degree weather and the Timberhouse steps set the stage for this amazing couple to get married. The ceremony had all the perfect elements to unite these two, there was family, friends, laughter, tears, pure joy and excitement!
Following the ceremony we use those same steps for family photographs, I LOVE how you can see the reflection of the gorgeous fall trees in the reflection above that window, immediately followed, by bridal party and bride and groom portraits. This Rolling Acres Golf Course and Timberhouse have so many options for photography that we just simply walked across the street to capture all those special moments.
After heading in to the reception, they made quick work of the first dance, toasts and blessing. Now in talking with the couple they expressed extreme interest in sunset photos, based on our timeline that sun was going to set right in the middle of dinner, while I wouldn’t normally interrupt a couples dinner for photos, let’s be honest, we need that break for food as well, but Theresa said to come get her and we will go. So we hit up the buffet line after immediate family, scarfed our food and got back to work. Boy o Boy am I glad we did! The sunset portraits are definitely my favorites, the sky was fairly clear and the colors are spectacular. I also LOVE getting that photo on the front steps of the Timberhouse with the warm ambient light indoors contrasting with the cool twilight sky outdoors. I feel these moments are essential to a successful wedding; it gives the couple a moment to calm down, regroup and realize just how quickly this day is flying by and to really savor the moment of THEIR day!
Following dinner we started the dancing off with parents dances. Theresa and her father, followed by Nate and Sue and in quick succession was Theresa and her step father, bridal party and open dance floor. Open dance floor, there wasn’t an open space on that dance floor that wasn’t being occupied but a guest dancing the night away! Everyone was having so much fun and it was a blessing for us to capture all the love in that room. Speaking of love and it may just be my second favorite moment of the day, let’s talk about Nate’s dad Pat and his mad dancing skills, now I don’t want to call myself judgmental but maybe I just happen to lump all men into a category of non-dancers and bad dancers LOL. I see a lot of my dad’s “type” in Pat, strong, hardworking, amazing providers and fantastic fathers…but my Dad will slow dance with my mom but that is 100% absolutely it, my Dad would never even consider “fast” dancing on the dance floor! I truthfully don’t know why I do this judgment, my husband is a dancer, he’s quite good also, he has good rhythm and doesn’t look goofy at all. I just never in a million years expected that from Pat, to the point where my husband was jealous and taking notes haha. Kidding of course, but it was one of those moments where I thought to myself, everyone should have video at their weddings because this is fantastic! Theresa, please tell me someone, anyone captured this!
We left shortly after the garter and bouquet but not before hugging and congratulating my dear friends Theresa and Nate. That’s when Theresa asked if WE could get a picture together, I don’t get very often but once in a while and let me just say, its super sweet and I treasure it each time it does happen, it really shows me that I have made some sort of impact on this bride, I am appreciated and an important part of their day. While I HATE having my photo taken just as much as nearly every groom I encounter, which is why I am behind it haha.
I will forever treasure Theresa and Nate, as clients whom I was honored to photograph on their wedding day, but more importantly I am blessed to call them friends. We made a promise on her wedding day that just because the wedding day was “over” that we would remain friends and stay in touch, I intend to keep that promise because I made a vow many years ago to surround myself with kindness, with people who have good values and integrity, people who love the Lord and recognize their blessings as much as I do and those who just simply make me feel good.
These are the Hands
These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow, and forever.
These are the hands that will work alongside yours, as together you build your future.
These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, and with the slightest touch, will comfort you like no other.
These are the hands that will hold you when fear or grief fills your mind.
These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes; tears of sorrow, and tears of joy.
These are the hands that will tenderly hold your children.
These are the hands that will help you to hold your family as one.
These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it.
And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged, will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.

Jennable Confession: Wedding Dreams are my Nightmares.
I dreamt of him again. I'd like to think maybe it's because of Valentine's Day coming up but most likely it's because...I miss him.
I don't know what to make of these dreams. Sometimes they fill a void in me. Other times they make my heart hurt. This time i tried to never wake up. If i was slowly waking up, i would force my body back into slumber in hopes to continue the dream. But of course when I did finally wake up...i regret having the dreams at all. They became another nightmare. Another false hope and my own misery. The following are the bits i remember and for future references...i’d like to read to remember him.
His team and I were at some resort near a beach. I remember thinking it was Cancun and we were at opposite sides of the resort. He was team captain and his team (idk why they were there) was finishing up an exercise.
As i leaned against a pillar, I saw him bark orders. At this moment he was alpha wolf and they were his pack. I was intrigued and attracted to him when was in command like this therefore i looked on in silence. The team looked exhausted but then Drew saw me and pointed me out to other teammates. They began to snicker and gave me winks and I smiled and gave them a nod to keep going.
Finally after a minute or so, the work out began to tie down and I felt him pause. I don't know how i felt him realize they something was behind him but a rush filled my core because i knew he knew of my presences there. He stopped, telling the boys to take a break, and suddenly...he turned around and saw me looking. I expected a small wave and move on like he always has. It was a team practice and I just wanted to see him for a small second.
But the look he gave me otherwise pinned me to the ground. Suddenly he walked over and then gave me a kiss on the cheek. I was stunned and my face became a new shade of red.
'Sorry Jenn. I needed to squeeze in a few practice laps to calm down plus team bonding never hurts.'
I stood confused for a minute as his team began to walk away and make kissy face sounds as they passed him giving him a pat on the back. He rolled his eyes at them and told them that they were done for the day.
Drew then laughed. “I’d like to this our practice is done for a bit...but yours is just starting.”
Tyler turned around and gave him a stare down but then turned his attention back to me. He was flustered and couldn't find the words to day anything. I gave a small chuckle and looked over to Drew. “I’d like to think that what is about to happen isn't just a simple practice. Id like to think its the championship.”
Drew gave a loud laugh, as did the few teammates that were walking away.
Once they were gone Tyler grabbed me abruptly, spun me around and dipped me. He clasped my left hand and brought it up to kiss it. I smiled but then noticed the huge rock on my finger. I would like to say I was shocked. Maybe even horrified. But nope.
I smiled so big and he did too. He then gave me a kiss that I can feel even now. It wasn't chaste, nor was it proper for the public. In fact it was so powerful I felt it to my bones. He suddenly pulled back and put me up straight, all while kissing my neck, making my eyes close and my heart flutter.
'You do know that we aren't suppose to be doing this is now? And though I love the preview.. it's suppose to be a curse to see the bride early...'
I shook my head trying to concentrate since he was still making my head spin. 'No dress on yet. No curse. And I missed you. I was afraid you weren't coming back. You didn't before.'
He immediately stopped kissing me so I put my head on his chest. It's a pensive moment, one I constantly fear. We’ve talked about this, and though I no longer hold it against him, the pain is still there. Sometimes I put it aside, other times i let it get the best of me.
He pulled back a minute later and gave me the most broken hearted smile. 'I know I can never take that back. I loved you and asked for you to wait while I never did. I did love you, that never changed but we were young and I....I made the mistake of not believing in you...in us. But I'm here now and I will always be so long as you want me. I have and will always love you. I might have gone off the path but my path leads back you. There is no me with out you.'
I cupped his face and gave him a small kiss. I needed to hear that and it set all the butterflies in my stomach free. 'Well it's now or never I suppose. I have to put on the dress and be ready in less then 30. And you as well. I'll meet you...well you know.'
He smiled at me, gave me a kiss, told me i looked beautiful, and ran off to his suite. I rushed back to mine and as I was putting on my dress I couldn't stop thinking about him. How we met as kids, how we grew up together, how even after a few years of no communication (due to us trying to finding ourselves in the world), we still found one another. It wasn't a clean road we took but it lead us here and I couldn't be happier.
Once I was ready, I looked in the mirror and I saw a stranger. I saw myself so happy and care free and even skinny. I looked to my left and I saw my mom in tears and me dad trying to hold them back. 'Are you sure you're ready Jennifer?'
And at that moment I was more sure of this then anything else. My dad then helped my step down from the stool and I reached out to them for a hug.
'Guess am not gay?' I stated because my mom always thought I was because I never went out on dates.
My mom laughed at our inner joke. 'No hunny. I guess you were just waiting for him. I was sure you never even tried for other boys. Hell I never once thought you even went out on a date. And at the moment it gave me a bit of concern, not that I cared if you were gay, but yea... i can safely say you aren't gay.'
We all gave a small laugh and then I asked for a second by myself. As I looked in the mirror and observed this stranger, I actually thanked all the pain I had to endure to get me here. It was a lonely path, one I wished I didn't have to suffer but it was all worth it. To be with the one I had always loved. And hopefully always will.
Since it seemed that my patience was at its limits, I bolted off and headed towards Tyler’s suite. I wanted him to be the first person to see me like this. I wanted him too have that moment and I wanted that moment with him as well. It was us against the world but like it use to be and how i hoped it would always be.
I knocked and knocked and for some odd reason there wasn't an answer. I started to get worried but then a neighbor tells me that the fine man in a handsome suit left about 3 minutes ago to the other side of the resort.
I thanked her and started to walk away while hyperventilating. I’m scared he ran, Im terrifed he will abandon me. I can feel her presence again and she simply told me to breathe.
“Beautiful silly girl. is this what you wanted?” I nodded my head yes.
“So go back to your room and he’ll be there. You might be insecure because now this isn't what your future looks like. Hell this is too much at once. But what you are living right now is what will lead you up to this. It might not be him, you might not get here with him. But one day you will be this happy.”
I don’t remember what happened next. but i remembered seeing Tyler leaning over a balcony rail, looking out into the ocean as if he could find the answers to the world by a single stare. I wrapped my arms around him and simply leaned in on his back.
He fell a bit back into me and I could feel his heart beat.
“Im sorry.”
“For what?”
“Im sorry I could have ruined this. Im sorry that I wasn't there when you needed me and that I might not be here as well.”
“What?”
“I’m so sorry.”
He turned around and began to fiercely kiss me. In a short time, we both ran out of breathe therefore he pulled back and continued to give my face small kisses.
“Its my fault. I might not create this perfect life with you in this lifetime.”
I look at him confused. He felt so real and everything felt so real.
“What do you mean?”
“What I mean is when you realize that this isn't real...I won't be there. I use to be there but I won't be. And I’m afraid that I might not wake up. i might not get you. i might not”
“But we are happy. Aren’t we?”
Then i wake up at 8;41 am. and I'm 22 again, alone and with out him. that was just mean i tell myself. that was just cruel.

Post-Pandemic Travel Boom Mexico and Europe the big winners!
As we pass the one-year anniversary of travel shutting down after the coronavirus was declared a pandemic, apart from Australia, Canada and New Zealand the world re-opens and travelers are looking forward to getting back to doing what they love. But, where to first?
As it stands, some international travel destinations still have their borders closed, but there is strong optimism that things will soon return to some level of normalcy. Travel advisors predicted that Mexico is going to be the big winner of post-pandemic travel.
“They’re doing such a great job with the COVID-19 protocols and providing safe options for our clients,” Kim Goldstein, president of Journeys Inc., told Travel Market Report. “They reopened quickly and showed the world that they had the right measures in place to keep our clients safe.
When the CDC announced that testing would be required to re-enter the US in January, the resorts in Mexico very quickly arranged on-site complimentary testing, so that we had an immediate solution for our clients which ultimately prevented a lot of cancellations.” Terri Jobe, the owner of Blue Water Travel, agreed.
“For me, Mexico is definitely the winner for post-pandemic travel.
I know the trend says that most will want to do domestic trips, but I have not seen that in my bookings. Mexico, and mainly Cancun, is about 90% of my 2021 bookings,” she said. In the more immediate future, Mexico allows Lori Wilson’s, a travel advisor with JCo Travel, clients to avoid jumping over lots of COVID-protocol hurdles. Other Caribbean locales like Jamaica “will see a massive influx of tourists once the pandemic restrictions are reduced,” said Kerri Brewster, owner of Escapes Unlimited & Bride Tribe Travel.
“There is a pent-up demand for travel, especially beach vacations for couples or families. I think we will see a lot more Caribbean travel once restrictions are lifted.” “Jamaica is ready for the rebound! They’ve had some different protocols and seen a reduction in travel but we think 2021 will be the year of Jamaica,” said Travis Paquin, co-owner of 417 Travel. Further down the pike, “late summer and fall/winter Central America is going to be busier than ever, much of the Mexico/Caribbean space will be gone and the next closest experience and competitive price will be the Costa Rica, Belize, and Panama destinations,” Tom Karnes, president and owner of La Macchia Travel Agency, told TMR.
Other advisors believe there will be a huge demand for Europe, like Lia Vincent, owner of Vincent Vacations & All Inclusive Weddings, who said: “People are itching to go back.” “People who never wanted to go before want to go even more now since they were told they can’t go. Americans are funny that way. We all wanted to go to Cuba because we were told no. Most popular of that continent is always going to be Italy, France and UK….in that order,” Vincent said. When the borders open, Europe is going to explode.
We have serious pent-up demand for Europe, specifically Italy, Ireland, Greece, and Croatia, said Janelle Grissinger, president of JCo Travel. Wilson, too, “feel[s] the excitement building for European travel as soon as that becomes an option again.” “Starting in the summer inquiries for Europe/Asia and Alaska are going to be extremely popular for 2022 travel,” making all of next year a huge boom for the industry, Karnes predicted.
The combination of loss and lockdowns has driven people to take those once-in-a-lifetime trips when they can. “People are realizing that at any moment their travel list could be shut down and you never know when it will be able to resume,” Vincent said. Wilson said this extends to honeymooners, who “are not compromising on their dream destinations.” She has seen a large demand for Tahiti as clients await a reopening announcement. #Mexico #Turkey #medicaltourism #postpandemic #travelandtourism #worldtravel

How To Select A Quixotic Wedding Venue
Your photos are not restricted to the booth these days. Photobooth rental businesses post the photos on their web site for those who might want to purchase their pictures individually. Just put in the name of the wedding party, and guests can see their photos. They offer a variety of measurements and print options for your guests to protect the memory of good times at your wedding ceremony. You will obtain a high quality print ready for framing. When making your wedding ceremony and reception event on your social media web page, inspire your guest to verify out the photobooth while enjoying your wedding reception. Numerous visitors will appear ahead to being a component of this fun and inventive element of your wedding ceremony. Avoid packaged wedding ceremony photographers. Some event halls provide unique Jamaica wedding packages that include a photographer. However, you don't know how good this person is, so it's not a good concept to just sign up for the photographer-included package. Take the time to do your study and you will be much happier with how your photos flip out.
youtube
How much in progress will your arrangements be made? If the preparations are produced too far in progress, they may wilt during your ceremony or reception. You want powerful blooms that can stand up to the test of photo flashes, scorching lights and a long working day. Cancun wedding packages want to tension to your couples while a lot of locations inform you you're special, we display you. I think if a lady was to be a Soho Home bride; she would definitely really feel special and be given the greatest 'star' treatment. We do go the extra stage simply simply because we are honored to be a part of the starting of their lives with each other. This is a day to keep in mind. Soho Home is simply a place where we try for quality vs. amount. Although we have a little boutique resort right here, we are personal a associates-club and the associates deal with the 'House' as a house away from house. It is a inventive and energetic think tank by day and a location to perform at night. Not only is Hawaii a paradise and among the most popular wedding and honeymoon locations, but it is also extremely easy to married there. There are no citizenship requirements or condition residency requirements. Blood tests are not needed, and you only require be 18. And, because Hawaii is so popular, it is feasible to find Jamaica wedding packages for Hawaii. Some journey agencies will set you up with the wedding ceremony ceremony in addition to the honeymoon requirements. This city, which sits correct on the Mississippi River, was founded in 1819 by Moses D. Bates. This metropolis flourished because of to its location on the river. Early industries that assisted get the city established were pork packing, soap and candle making, milling of lumber and railroad. As long as you and your fiance' are thrilled about the place, your buddies and family will capture that enthusiasm and quickly everybody will be looking forward to attending a wedding in your specifically selected location.

Top 12 Spring Honeymoon Destinations For All Travelers
Alright Spring brides and grooms, the countdown is on! Two, three, maybe four months away from your wedding day we have to ask you…have you booked your honeymoon? Put away that guest seating chart and let’s do some fun travel planning for a change, we’ve got our top twelve favorite honeymoon destination for Spring newlyweds!
We’ve chatted a bit recently about reasons you don’t need to put off your honeymoon, and if it’s getting down to the wire on honeymoon planning, we’ve rounded up all the best destinations for all types of travelers. Whether you’re an adventurous Airbnb trekking couple, or more “fresh towels everyday” luxury lover, there’s a perfect Spring honeymoon destination for you.

Honeymoon Destinations For Adventure Seekers
Backpackers, Airbnb lovers, thrill seekers rejoice! So many adventurous honeymoon treks are in their height during the spring, thanks to thawing snow and ice in the Northern Hemisphere and cooling temperatures in the Southern realm.
Safari dreamers will want to head to Tanzania in March, when the humidity drops and before the crowds grow large. Take a tour to the wildlife-rich Serengeti, let a luxury camp plan your stops and safari or DIY your own wildlife trek stopping at smaller wildlife outfitters along the way.

Newlyweds who’ve always dreamed of a tour through the Southwest, United States should take advantage of the winter thaw and lack of crowds. While the Grand Canyon and Zion are undoubtedly beautiful, consider under-the-radar, and just as majestic Canyon de Chelly.
With the Navajo Nation still residing within the canyon’s walls, you get a more authentic, less touristy experience – as in, no tourists at all. Camp for free at the canyon’s mouth, or pay a ($11) visit to Howard’s Spider Rock Campground with one of the most incredible views I, myself, have ever seen in my life. Listen to the echoes of wild horses stampede through the canyon below, and see if you can count the millions of stars above.

Luxurious Honeymoon Destinations
Beachside massages, Balinese teak wood cottages, incredibly crafted cuisine, and a whole lot of relaxation are to be had anywhere along the coast of Vietnam. Thanks to the country’s incredible affordability, you can find a luxury honeymoon that fits most any couple’s budget.
Visit the charming small beach village of Hoi An, and stay for $60 a night in this antique filled Vietnamese villa, (away from the backpacker crowd) just steps from the sand. The villa comes with bicycles to tour the rice paddies and make friends with water buffalo, and a private chef who arrives daily to prepare authentic and bountiful traditional Vietnamese meals as part of the nightly rate!

Looking to splurge? A number of eye-catching, five-star resorts lie along the Southern coast in Nha Trang. We have our eyes on Six Senses, with their private villas, sexy bathrooms, spa treatments and gorgeous seaside views.
Budget-Friendly Honeymoon Destinations
Looking to get the most bang for your buck on your honeymoon? Spring is luckily the “shoulder-season” for so many popular destinations, helping you snag that coveted honeymoon suite. But you don’t necessarily have to sacrifice the best weather for a good price; we’ve selected destinations that are both budget-friendly and have fabulous Spring climates.
Photo by Claire Eliza via Bridal Musings
Discover Morocco at its best in the Springtime. Temperatures range in the 70s throughout the country, and prices are always cheap, whether travel is peak or off-peak. Visit the gorgeous blue-walled city of Chefchouen, shop the souks of Marrakech while relaxing at a luxurious riad for just $30 a night, enjoy one euro lobster and easy-going beach vibes in Essaouira and take that once in a lifetime desert trek through the Sahara.
While most of Europe has yet to warm to beach weather, the Canary Islands are nearly always honeymoon-ready. With inexpensive flights from nearly all of Europe (and falling prices even from the USA!) the Canaries remains one of the warmest and most budget-friendly destinations in Europe each Spring. Rent an ocean view private chalet for $70 a night, visit the moon-like volcanic wineries, and enjoy fresh from the boat seafood.
Honeymoon Destinations For Foodies
Maybe you’re like Jack and I and you travel purely for food? While your taste certainly decides what destination is honeymoon worthy, our picks are diverse in flavor and price.
The smallest city in America with enough fine dining to earn it’s own Eater office, and the refuge of many NYC chefs and sommeliers, is the charming Southern food mecca, Charleston, South Carolina. The weather in the Spring is divine, and the summer crowds have yet to arrive.
Stay in one of the classic, colorful colonial homes on the peninsula, and spend your days sampling the city’s Southern food (until you can’t walk anymore). Visit Sean Brock’s celebration of Southern cuisine at Husk and have a whiskey cocktail and aged ham at his historic bar next door. Find out what makes low-country oysters so special at 167 Raw, and don’t leave town until you’ve had a few pounds of garlic crab and crawfish at Nonna’s Seafood.
Photo by Greg Finck via Bridal Musings
While most of Thailand is growing hellishly hot, Chiang Mai, in the northern high country, remains quite pleasant into Spring. Boasting one of the world’s greatest food scenes – vibrant markets, gloriously inexpensive street food, and a number of foodie festivals every year- this destination should be tops for any foodie newlywed couple. Rent a gorgeous Thai home, take cooking classes t0 perfect your som tum and sticky rice, and frequent the market stalls for arguably the best street food in Thailand.
Culture Lovers’ Honeymoon Destinations
My own dreamy image of Japan is temples surrounded by fluffy pink cherry blossoms, and I bet yours is too. Spring, of course, is the one and only time you can catch this natural explosion of pink blossoms. Stay in a zen friendly space in Kyoto, explore the town’s many temples and gardens, experience Japan’s culture and tantalizing cuisine, and see the city’s famous display of cherry blossoms.
Another bright and flowery destination rich with culture and history is The Netherlands. The yearly tulip festival spans from mid-March to the end of May, making it a very flexible journey. Visit Van Gogh’s museum in Amsterdam, traverse the many canals and rent a car to drive out of town through fields and fields of colorful tulips. Dreaming of visiting Holland’s many charming windmills? Why not stay in one?!

All-Inclusive Honeymoon Destinations
Did wedding planning wear you out? Would you rather leave the honeymoon plans in the hands of the pros? Consider an all-inclusive style honeymoon where the only planning you have to do is the destination itself.
The Caribbean boasts beautiful weather in the Spring, with dry days and respite from cold weather in the North. Located on one of the most serene and beautiful beaches of the Dominican Republic (and perhaps even the Caribbean) is Sublime Samana. Far away from the heavily touristed resorts of Punta Cana, you’ll find refuge in your own villa just steps from the sea. With sweet breakfasts of local fruit and coconuts, and a beachside restaurant grilling up the fresh catch of the day on a nightly basis, you may never find a reason to wander off the luxury compound.
Photo via Be Tulum
Just south of Cancun is the now trending little eco-resort town, Tulum. Hip city folk are flocking to this ruin filled Mexican beach town, we predict Tulum may gain a nickname as the sixth borough soon (are you from Brooklyn? Have you been to Tulum? Thought so!) As the town rises in popularity amongst hipsters and luxury travelers alike, you’ll find all-inclusive style hotels less polished than their neighbors in Cancun – in a good way.
Be Tulum offers everything you could need from an all-inclusive resort – meals, drinks, private access to the beach – but doesn’t require you to buy into everything at once. Enjoy all the luxurious amenities the resort has to offer, and wander into town whenever you fancy trying the local gourmet fare.

I graduated from Freedom Area High School, class of 1999…at Freedom (when I went there) it was K-4 in two separate elementary schools, 5-8 in the middle school and 9-12 in the high school. I was terribly anxious going into 9th grade, the nervousness of a freshman that I would like to think most feel. I walked into my first period class and was met with a man named Mr. Byrnes, freshman English, as I thought, oh I got this, I enjoy English and I am decent enough on the subject so I didn’t feel the need to fret. Mr. Byrnes was a small man but he commanded the room as no other teacher I had ever encounter, he was strict, he was tough, he didn’t put up with crap(to put it as best as I can), he was also one of the best English teachers I ever had. I learned so much that year and fell in love with writing.
So when I had a consultation with Mr. Martin Byrnes and Miss Meagan Susa it hadn’t even occurred to me that it could be the son of MY Mr. Byrnes. I may sound like a nosy photographer, but it is simply my way of getting to know my client when I ask how you met, what do you do for a living, etc. Martin informed me that he was a high school English teacher, I immediately thought, “wait a minute, is your father Mr. Byrnes? “. The answer would obviously be yes, whether it was MY Mr. Byrnes or not, but within minutes, here I was meeting the son of MY Mr. Byrnes. (Fun Fact: Both my parents as well as my brother are graduates of Freedom as well, both my parents had Mr. Byrnes for freshman English as well)
Now as I write this blog post, I hope that Martin will not be correcting my grammar and spelling. HAHA
Blog posts are informal, right?
I was thrilled when Martin and Meagan entrusted me with the privilege of photographing their wedding day. Meagan and Martin are not only incredible people, but I was very much looking forward to seeing MY Mr. Byrnes again after all these years.
I drove to the home that Meagan and Martin share for the pre-ceremony coverage, we captured Meagan, her mom and her bridesmaids getting ready. They have a gorgeous view and large picture window that is a photographer’s dream, natural light flooding the room, we finished the portraits of Meagan and headed to the church to do the pre-ceremony coverage of the groom.
Arriving at Saints Peter and Paul church in Beaver is like heading home, I have a lot of weddings here and Father Bob is just the sweetest person you will ever meet. We photographed the groom and his family as well as the groomsmen. It was great to finally see Mr. Byrnes, whom might I add, has not changed one bit and this man has not aged at all.
I knew from our initial meeting that this wedding was going to be different, wonderful and full of uniqueness. Martin’s uncle is a priest, they have a good friend who is a priest as well as this being their home parish, Father Bob would be there as well. The three men together would conduct a beautiful ceremony full of love, laughter and happily ever after(insert cheesy line here, haha).
Following a lovely mass, we headed to the alternate location, this couple decided upon Robin Hill Park. This is such a gorgeous location no matter the time of year. I have photographed many couples, family and children at this location; it offers a beautiful “mansion” turned events center, gazebo, walking trails, fire pit, pergola, stone wall, vintage and modern details and a quaint cabin all on the premises.
It was now time to get these newlyweds to the reception at the Doubletree in Moon Twp., PA. Upon entering the reception, Meagan and Martin, shared their first dance to the DJ provided music immediately followed by the cutting of their cake and speeches. I love to see couples take liberties with their details, next to the cake we noticed a “vintage” photograph of a bride and groom kissing next to their cake and this was a photograph of Meagan’s grandparents on their wedding day standing next to a cake that looked as though appeared their cake could have been modeled after.
After dinner is the perfect time to take those few family, friend’s photos that may have been restricted due to the timeframe allotted at the church. This newlywed’s day was no exception, following dinner we snagged a few more photographs with family and friends and began the dancing portion of the evening. Martin danced with his mom and Meagan with her brother, you know it’s funny prior to 2014 I would find myself getting emotional at the father-daughter dances during weddings and I still do but there is nothing quite like watching a man dance with his mother. I think the birth of my son changed that for me. I now imagine myself one day dancing with my son at his wedding to a girl I will no doubt love and approve of every sense of the word. My children are my world and as Addison and Gabriel get older(I’m not of course, so I don’t exactly know how it is happening), I realize just how precious these moments are. On my wedding day, dancing with my father is one of my happiest memories, after suffering from a major heart attack (they call it the widow maker) just one year prior, I know exactly how precious that moment was, but the longer my amazing career spans the more I realize how precious the moment must have been for my parents. You raise these tiny humans all this time, you hope for their future, their education, their choices in friends and spouses and their happiness and all you want ultimately is for them to grow up to be happy and healthy. The joy that my children bring me is unparalleled, they are the light in my darkest of days, the hope for the future, the chaos in the quietest of moments and this time in my life may be the calm before the storm but all I know is that I want my children to be happy, a happiness that fills them to the brink of spilling over, just like Meagan and Martin.
Now it’s time to get this party started! Meagan and Martin chose to have a band at their reception. It never ceases to amazing me how totally different the vibe is at a band versus DJ experience, now to each their own but concert going is truly one of my favorite pastimes, particularly in my teens and 20s, these days I don’t get to head to as many concerts as I would like but never the less that spirit is within me. I love the inhibition that happens to the wedding guests when a live band hits the stage. Many times at a DJ wedding reception you will have waves of dancers and by that I mean, if the DJ is playing Marvin Gaye or Sam Cooke, you’re not going to find too many 20 something’s on the dance floor as in the same scenario when that DJ plays the remix to Imagine Dragons Thunder. (Fun fact: I had ONE of my first old lady moments not too long ago, when hearing this song on the radio, I thought they were saying Fun Dip, my daughter still makes fun of me by singing “Fun Dip! Eat the Fun Dip. Fun Dip! Eat the Fun Dip. Lightening and the Fun Dip!) At a wedding reception where you have a band performing I have seen many 90 year old couples out there dancing the night away to Black Eyed Peas, Let’s get it started and many teens and kids sweeping the dance floor to AC/DC you shook me all night long!
It is just not all that often that growing up you get an inside look into the home and family life of your school teachers, you see them as an authority and those things are kept private. (Except when your best friend is the daughter of one of your middle school teachers, shout out to Beth Foster and Patty Donaldson LOL ) But to get a small glimpse into the life and love of one of my teachers has been both a blessing and an honor. To Meagan and Martin, may all your days be filled with sunshine and happiness, may you always hold one another in times of pain and sorrow, and may you be surrounded by love always and in all ways.
PS. Martin and Mr. Byrnes, please go easy on me. LOL
Not talkin' 'bout a year No not three or four I don't want that kind of forever In my life anymore Forever always seems to be around when it begins but forever never seems to be around when it ends So give me your forever Please your forever Not a day less will do From you People spend so much time Every single day Runnin' 'round all over town Givin' their forever away But no not me I won't let my forever roam and now I hope I can find my forever a home So give me your forever Please your forever Not a day less will do From you Like a handless clock with numbers An infinite of time No not the forever found Only in the mind Forever always seems to be around when things begin but forever never seems to be around when things end So give me your forever Please your forever Not a day less will do From you
