Is it too early to ask for yan-yan Ororon or-
Never too early for some yandere headcannons. Ororon hasn't even been released as a playable character, but I already love him so damn much
Tumblr media Tumblr media
❥ Ororon’s not the type to throw his feelings around lightly. Hell, he might not even let you know how deep his obsession with you runs—at first. He’s silent, observant, and dangerous as fuck, and that makes his obsession feel like an unseen threat looming over you. You might feel like someone’s always watching, but when you turn around, he’s gone, blending back into the shadows. Ororon won’t show his hand until he’s sure he’s got you exactly where he wants you.
❥ Ororon’s from Natlan, the land of warriors, and that fierce, protective nature comes out hard when it’s about you. He’ll stop at nothing to keep you safe, but his definition of “safe” might just mean isolating you from anyone he deems a threat. Someone flirts with you? They’re fucking done. He’ll handle it so discreetly that you might not even know they’re gone—he’ll just mention offhand that they “left town.” With Ororon, “protective” means making sure no one even thinks about getting close to what’s his.
❥ Ororon’s a strategist at heart, always thinking three steps ahead, and he’ll use every bit of that cunning to keep you close. He’ll “coincidentally” be wherever you are, always popping up at just the right time to sweep in and “rescue” you or remind you of how much you need him. Before you know it, he’s woven himself into every part of your life, and trying to untangle yourself? That’s a fucking impossible task. He knows how to make you feel like leaving him isn’t even an option.
❥ Ororon’s not big on words, but damn, does he know how to use silence to his advantage. If he feels you pulling away, he won’t yell or beg—he’ll just go deadly silent, staring at you with those intense eyes that seem to see right through you. The weight of his silence is enough to make you second-guess any thought of leaving. He doesn’t need to threaten you outright; just one long, hard look is all it takes to remind you of the danger you’re in if you ever try to break free.
❥ Ororon might have some ancient, Natlan-inspired rituals or symbols he uses to mark what’s his. He’ll gift you charms or trinkets with an intensity that borders on possessive, making sure you know that you belong to him. These little tokens are his way of marking his territory, and if you try to refuse? Let’s just say he’ll make sure you understand that refusing him is not a safe fucking option.
❥ Ororon’s obsession has deep, burning intensity, and he’s not afraid to make it known when you’re alone. When he feels like someone or something’s coming between you, he’ll pull you aside, holding you close, telling you with a voice like smoldering coals, “You’re mine. Don’t forget it.” And there’s no mistaking the promise—and the danger—behind those words. Once Ororon has you, there’s no escape.

I thought Ororon would be some Moze like deep voice secretive in the shadows kinda guy (he technically is) but he’s so baby boy.

Citlali: HONESTLY!! What is with you two and worrying me! First Oria's death, then you, Ororon, with the Fatui and now Oria nearly got kidnapped!!
Ororon: *Looks at Aether* Uhm..
Aether: *Gestures towards Oria*
Mavuika: *Looks at the two* Hm?
Ororon, Aether and Mavuika: *Looks at Oria at the same time*
Oria: *Blinks twice curiously* Huh?
Ororon: *Darts his eyes to Citlali, looking somewhat desperate*
Oria: *Perks up then smiles and nods*
Oria: Granny!! I'm hungry and thirsty! I didn't eat today because I rushed out to play
Citlali: *Gasps* Oria! What have I told you about making sure you eat! Come now! I shall get you something to fill your belly
Oria: *Nods to Ororon then runs off after Citlali*
Mavuika: She saved the day...
Ororon: Always does..

The big question right now is: is Capitano on his way to kill Mavuika in the final AQ, or is he going to become her "substitution" in any way shape or form? They both existed for the past 500 years, and tbh with the rotting flesh thing I can't see Capitano being a huge fan of such existence. Plus, Ororon was talking about "soul(s?) escaping" when he witnessed Capitano getting injured; his soul either wants to literally leave his body (bc he shouldn't have been immortal in the first place as a human), or he is a host for some Khaenri'ahn souls in a way Ororon was supposed to be.
Also can't help but think once again how petty it is to make someone immortal as a punishment. Cruel and soooooo petty. Cruel for obvious reasons, petty bc I can imagine the Heavenly Principles might have used this method of a punishment as a way to get back at the Shade of Death for the overstepping of the rules (this is very far out in the headcanon territory, I'm not saying this is the exact reason why they did that). (I can't imagine the Shade of Death being a fan of the immortality curse. I quite frankly think it affected her negatively emotionally, but I have no evidence for that.)
It's also kinda silly. Here is your (supposed) enemy/creation/whoever who displeased you, and so you punish them with immortality. Great! Should they not rot away or fall into a bottomless pit, they now have an undetermined amount of time to decide how to get back at you! And they will be extremely petty about it as well, be sure of it!!!
Choose your curses wisely
