Hi Kelly Sue, sorry to be a pest but I had to take the opportunity to ask... is there any chance we could get an Absolute edition of WW Historia: The Amazons? I can't help thinking that the oversized format would do such justice to Phil, Gene and Nicola's beautiful artwork.

You're not a pest at all! I'm afraid that kind of thing is above my pay grade, however. DC Publishing would make that sort of decision.

(I'd actually love to see an edition of the book in a wide format, but I don't think that sort of thing is generally done.)

Gene Ha : "I love the muscular interpretations of Apocalypse by my art pals Alex Ross and Dan Brereton, but went in a different direction after a deep dive into the initial X-Factor design by legend Walt Simonson. There is a LOT of Iron Man design language, notably the segmented armor bits, shoulder discs, greaves, and forearm vambraces. Simonsons’s torso is clearly an armored cuirass with no sculpted muscles on the upper half. And Apocalypse’s head is, well, an earless head, but visually works better if drawn as a variant Iron Man style helmet."

did you end up reading Wonder Woman Historia?

It is an utter masterpiece in every possible way. The writing is impeccable, the art knocks you on your ass with every page. I am wholly unqualified to critique it, but I give it my most enthusiastic endorsement. Every Wonder Woman fan should read it. Desperately hoping we get the other 6 issues that KSD wants to do.
