domestic relationship with eddie lovers come get yâall juice.
âIâm so sick of this,â he huffs when he comes through the door of your studio apartment. You jump in the corner of the couch, half a handful of pop corn in your mouth.
âJesus HâI knew I shouldnâtâve given you a key,â you breathe, leaning forward to put the bowl on the coffee table. You stand up, blanket around your shoulders like a cape, already snuggly in your after work PJs, âWhatâre you sick of?â
He unlaces his boots on your welcome mat, winter coat covered in flakes that melt on your wood tile floor. The swishy fabric gets laid haphazardly with his wet wool scarf over the chair by your tiny kitchen table. You kiss him before he can answer. His lips are cold like the tip of his nose.
âThis weather,â he sighs into your mouth like youâre a hot shower, âThis month.â
âPoor baby,â you whisper, stealing another kiss. He pulls his hair back, cracking his neck soon after. Eddie talks through his day, going to your dresser to rifle through âhis drawerâ. Extra pants, boxers, t-shirts.
âAnd like, the new floor manager for the guys in Clifton is such a fucking asshole. I canât wait for his training to be over so he can get the fuck out of my garage,â he snaps.
âItâs not your garage, babe,â you shrug, back in your seat on the couch.
âMight as well be,â he grumbles. Eddieâs clothes always end up in the same corner near your bed and you always end up bringing them with you for wash day. Once heâs changed and washed his hands and had a sip of water you know heâs done with his after work rampage. His frame slides in close to yours, curling himself up so that he can lay his head somewhere between your chest and your thighs.
âDo the thing,â he murmurs while the TV catches his attention. You take the elastic out of his hair, running a hand through the top of his curls.
âBraids?â
âBraids and then take them out and redo them again,â he turns and looks at you, eyes soft, âPlease.â
âOkay,â you nod back, another kiss that feels like the sun is out.
âIâll rub your back after,â he whispers.
âYou donât have to bargain with me, I already said I would do it,â you giggle.
âI know, but you said your back was bothering you when you called me during lunch so,â he shrugs, eyes fluttering closed when you part his hair, âIf I can stay awake, Iâll rub your back.â

I love you all immensely. Take care. đ
You hear your father in the garage. Itâs a comfort knowing he isnât in the house. Youâve learned to navigate so that you rarely run into him. The fact of your existence only ever seems to irk him.Â
That day, thereâs a low rumble between the clank and clunk of his tools. Youâre not sure itâs the engine or something else. The last time you glimpsed inside the garage, the engine wasnât even in that old Bronco heâs worked on for seven years.Â
You rub smooth the lines in your forehead and give a long blink. Youâve been squinting at the diamond art for much too long. You sit up and roll your shoulders. You need a break.Â
As you emerge from your room, you feel guilty. A break from what? Doing nothing. Thatâs what your dad always says. Then he laughs and finds something to throw at you.Â
You take his lunch box from the floor by the shoe mat and bring it to the kitchen. You open it up and clean out all the containers. Those things you do, as small as they are, like cleaning and making his meals, arenât enough. He doesnât fail to remind you of that.Â
You dump the uneaten crust from his ham and cheese sandwich as the door from the garage clatters open and lets in the smell of oil and dirt. You turn your attention to the sink as you put the container with the rest. Itâs only as you flip the faucet on that you realise the steps arenât your dadâs.Â
âScuse me,â Sy says. âDonât mean to bother, but, uh, had a bit of an accident.âÂ
You face him as he holds out the front of his tee shirt. You gulp. Thereâs a smear of shiny oil across it, ready to drip onto the floor. Your eyes round.Â
âI can clean it in the bathroom, I see youâre busy.âÂ
He goes to turn away and you put your hands up. The oil wonât come out if he just wipes it into the shirt. You would know since you deal with your dadâs stained jeans. Â
He nears as you sidle down to grab the baking soda from the cupboard. He looms, his shadow moving in your peripheral, and you shift the faucet to off. You grab a paper towel and turn to him. You hesitate to reach for him, that seems too much but before you can make a move, he peels his shirt off.Â
You flutter your lashes and point to the counter. He lays the shirt out and you open the box of baking soda. He stands back and watches. Heat trickles down your back as you focus on the task. You sprinkle the powder over his shirt.Â
You let it soak up as much as it can then blot daintily.Â
âYouâre clever,â he muses. âHelpful.âÂ
You shrug.Â
âHow luckyâs that daddy of yours, huh? You out here cleaning all his mess. You make his lunch?â He peeks over at the sink and you follow his gaze. You nod. âHm, think heâd be nicer then, wouldnât ya? Well, I know him, he ainât a nice fella.âÂ
You return your attention to his shirt. If your daddy isnât so nice, why does he come around? You wouldnât ask even if you could. You can barely concentrate with him exposed like that.Â
Your eyes dart over in a fleeting peek. His chest is hair and his stomach thick, his arms too. Youâre always aware of how big he is but at that moment, he seems even larger. You look at his shirt. Itâll need more time to soak and wash.Â
âCould wash it with the hose, donât wanna ruin your machine,â he offers as if reading your mind.Â
You frown and shake your head. You hold up your finger and flit away with his shirt. You put stain remover on it and dump it in the machine. You set the cycle then hesitate. What will he wear now?Â
Your dad isnât as big. Heâs a pretty small guy. He might have something...Â
You hurry into the closet of old things and search around. Thereâs one of those tees he got from a case of Labatts. They always pack the XLs and nothing else. It has some sports team logo on it.Â
You go back to the kitchen and offer it to Sy. He crosses to you and accepts it with a smile, âthanks, sugar. Thatâs mighty nice.â His fingertips brush yours. Â
He unfolds the shirt and shakes it out. He pulls it over his head and your eyes crawl down his torso unintentionally. You back up a step as he tugs down the hem, though it hangs short of his belt. Even that is too small for him.Â
âYouâre not scared of me, are ya?â He asks as he curls his shoulders as if to make himself smaller.Â
You shake your head. Shy is all. Youâre not eager to mingle with anyone. Nor they, you.Â
âYou know, I might have a word with your daddy. He shouldnât be so nasty to ya. âSpecially all the work you put in.âÂ
You shake your head frantically and clasp your hands. You know better than that. Even if heâs trying to be nice, itâs the worst thing he can do.Â
âWhatâs wrong? Huh? Just wanna tell him what a good girl ya are,â he crosses his arms and seems to double in size.Â
You pout and press your hands together. You cower and takes another step back. His expression turns dire.Â
âSorry, sugar, hope I didnât upset ya there. I was only... only beinâ nice, ya know? Seems youâre not used to all that.â He drops his hands to his hips. âFine then, Iâll just have to save them sweet words for you, huh?âÂ
You look down and chew your lip. Youâre not used to the attention. Your dadâs other friends, if you can call them that, just ignore you or laugh at his jokes about you. You nod and turn, gesturing to the sink. You walk up to it, clinging to the excuse to get away.Â
âYeah, I know, you workinâ hard,â he praises. âIâll be outta ya way now.âÂ
You bob your head and turn the tap on again. You work at scrubbing the containers, waiting and listening for him to go. When he does, you can breathe again. Youâre not so sure why heâs being nice. Not like you can do much but stare.Â
đ
When your dadâs at work, youâre as close to peace as youâve ever been. Thereâs still that constant restlessness that follows you. The gnawing reality that time is passing you by. That you have no purpose. No direction.Â
You envy others. That they have a reason. That they have everything you donât. They have other people, ones that care, not those burdened with them; they have important work to do; they have fun things to celebrate; graduations, new jobs, marriages. They have voices and you remain unheard.Â
You busy yourself with the tidying when he isnât there. If you try to clean with him around, he only antagonizes you. Thereâs a roast out for dinner. It will last a few days. Most times, you lose your appetite. You spend all day craving and making the food then lose all desire the moment itâs before you.Â
The small pleasures you once treasured fade with each day that starts and ends the same. You canât feel too bad for yourself. Your dad doesnât have to keep you. Youâre an adult now. Maybe heâll never say so, or even show it, but he must care, right?Â
You finish mopping and start on chopping up the potatoes. You arrange them in the roasting pan around the slab of beef. Then carrots and celery. You save the onions for last because they make you cry. Youâre saved from tears by the rumble of thunder on the horizon.Â
Curiously, you set the knife down and go to the window. Would your dad be home early? Some days, they shut down the shop when business is slow.Â
Itâs not him but you recognise the grating on the truckâs nose. The large truck sends up dirt and gravel as it cuts across the worn roadway. Your confusion floods to panic and you rush out the front door.
Is your father hurt? Why else would Sy be here?Â
You hover on the top step as he grinds to a stop and shuts the behemoth truck off. The driverâs door creaks as it opens and Sy jumps down. Instead of his usual camo cargo shorts and sweat-dampened tee, he wears a button-up with short sleeves and a pair of brown slacks. It even looks like he combed his beard.Â
Your face twists in a grimace. Whatâs going on? Why is he here?Â
He reaches back into the truck and brings out something behind his back. You canât see it as he keeps his arm bent behind him and shuts the door. He grins and walks up to the house as you watch.Â
âHowâs it goinâ?â He asks brightly.Â
You blink. You look at his collar, the top button straining against his thick neck. You lower your gaze to your loose blue tee and barrel jeans. Youâre dressed like a laundry line. Your clothes offer no shape, nothing. They just do the job.Â
âI, uh, I wanted to surprise ya, and uh, I was thinkinâ ya know, this place deserves a bit of colour,â he chuckles then clears his throat, âand you deserve good things, so, uh, here.âÂ
He reveals the flowers from behind his back and you blanch. You stare at the dainty petals, white with violet edges. They are pretty. Too pretty for this place or for you. Besides, why would he do that?Â
âYou donât like em? Should I have got roses?â He asks.Â
You flinch. You donât want to hurt his feelings. You come down the steps and cautiously reach for the paper cone. He hands it over and you stare at him. Then you smell them. You think thatâs what youâre supposed to do.Â
âSmell good?â He asks.Â
You peer over the petals at him and nod. Youâre not sure how to react. What do you do now? You canât just leave him out in the yard. You raise your thumb and point it over your shoulder and tilt your head.Â
âSure, Iâll come in,â he accepts.Â
He steps forward, a bit too close, and you hop backward up the step. You barely keep from tripping. You get onto the porch and spin around, scurrying to the door. You open the door and step to the side to hold it for him.Â
He laughs again, ânow, Iâm a gentleman, sugar.âÂ
He grabs the door and gestures you through. You take his directive without pause. You hurry inside and he follows. As he stops to take off his shoes, you continue on into the kitchen.Â
You search for an adequate holder for the flowers. You find an old canister and set them in it with some water. His presence lurks behind you. You put the bouquet on the table as he looks around.Â
âYou cookinâ a fine dinner, huh?â He says. âLike I tell your daddy, heâs a lucky man. Any manâd be lucky to have that waitinâ.âÂ
You shrug. He shifts.Â
âI donât mean to take advantage of your kindness but I was gonna ask ya a favour.âÂ
You look at him blankly. He reaches in his pocket. He pulls a length of silk. A tie.Â
âCouldnât figure this out,â he explains. âThought maybe you might...âÂ
You stare at the tie. You remember tying your daddyâs for your grandmaâs funeral. That was a long time ago but you think you could remember.Â
You swallow down your nerves and approach him. You take the tie and he glances around. He pushes a chair out and sits. He leans his head back.Â
âJust wanna make sure I look good for ya,â he says.Â
You flip up his collar and bring the silk around his neck. As you do, your thumb brushes his coarse beard. He hums.Â
âDonât worry bout pullinâ my hair,â he scoffs. âWonât bother me none.âÂ
You line up his tie, knuckles brushing his shirt as you go through the steps in your hand. You pull the tie snug and fix hit collar. You step back and he sets his head straight. You hug yourself and give him a questioning look.Â
âYa like your surprise?â He asks.Â
You look at the flower then nod.Â
âAnd what about the other?âÂ
You face him again and your brows draw together.Â
âMe,â he snorts.Â
You purse your lips and shrug. What does he mean?Â
âWeâll wait for your daddy, huh? Then Iâll ask his blessing.â He rests his elbow on the table, âand youâll have dinner all ready, wonât ya?âÂ

Eddie isn't entirely sure how he ends up on Tommy's doorstep. One minute, he's stuffed into the corner of his couch, staring at the two empty cushions beside him, trying to will joy out of thin air. The next, he's grabbing his keys and knocking on a familiar door. But it's not too familiar a door. It's not the right door, he thinks. It should be Buck's door. But this feels safer somehow.
Buck's door is joy. Buck's door opens into a room filled with sunlight. Buck's door is a portal to all the good things Eddie has never found himself worthy of. He's still learning to trust the good things, joy. And whilst he trusts Buck implicitly, intimately, instinctually. He still doesn't quite trust himself.
Tommy's door is... Well, Tommy's door often opens on casual camaraderie. Tommy's door mainly leads to the sparring mat in the garage. Tommy's door is just a door. Eddie doesn't know if he's there to see it open or seal it shut.
It's been a week since. Since Eddie had danced around in his house in a pair of tighty whiteys he'd forgotten he'd owned. Since an intoxicatingly simple joy had buzzed through his veins and filled him with a glowing pink light that had almost burst out of him when he'd looked through the peephole. Since Buck had offered him a beer and stuffed himself into the corner of the couch to drink in stony silence between sniffles. Since Eddie had resisted the urge to make himself small and had instead spread his legs, so he could feel the warmth of Buck's knee burning into his bare thigh. Since both of them getting drunk enough on beers and each other that they'd danced around Eddie's house until they collapsed on the living room floor. Since they'd laid there on the carpet, staring up at the ceiling, and Buck had finally mumbled his way through a recital of his breakup.
It's been a week of Eddie biting down on his reflexive guilt at seeking out joy whilst Buck wallows in despair. Of Eddie plastering himself to Buck in every spare moment because, even when he's down in the dumps, he gives off joy like a spaceheater throws out heat. Of Eddie allowing himself to bask in it without the whispering warning voices in his mind for the first time ever. Of Eddie allowing himself the simple pleasure of Buck without fear of ruining him.
Eddie startles a little when the door opens, but it's alright because Tommy startles too. His whole face stretches in shock then scrunches up with a wry little laugh and a shake of his head.
"Guess I probably should have expected this, huh?" he says.
And Eddie thinks that's odd. Hadn't expected it himself. Doesn't know why he's here. Doesn't know what he's going to say. But he opens his mouth anyway, lets whatever is in his throat claw its way out, and what he says is,
"Buck is worth the risk."
Tommy blinks. Eddie blinks back.
Something pools in his chest. Something warm. Something hot. It's the warmth of Buck's knee against his thigh and the heat of boiling anger. It's scorching. Eddie can't tell which one burns worse.
"Okay," Tommy replies evenly.
"Buck said that you said you couldn't move in with him because he'd break your heart."
"I did."
"He's worth that risk," Eddie repeats. Doesn't know how else to say it. "Don't you get it? He-he's so smart and passionate and kind and full of love. His head gets a little messy sometimes, but he's still so so full of love. Why can't you see that? He's beautiful inside and out. And he's worth the risk. You can't not take the risk with Buck. He's worth a hundred broken hearts, don't you get that?"
Eddie's chest heaves. A thousand more words crowd his mouth, but he can't wrap his lips around any of them. His brain is flying a mile a minute, everything slipping through his fingers just when he thinks he's grabbed a hold of it. And Tommy is just staring at him in that slightly disconcertingly blank way he stares.
"Eddie, I think maybe you should try giving that speech to a mirror." His voice is still even, but there's an edge to these words that makes something in Eddie sing, makes him want to press against it until it draws blood.
"What?"
"I think you think Buck's worth a hundred broken hearts because you and him have been breaking each other's over and over for the past six years."
Eddie flinches.
"What? I would neverâ"
"Just because you didn't mean to doesn't mean you didn't." Tommy sighs and drags a hand down his face. All the defensiveness melts out of his posture as he leans against the doorframe. "Okay, let's talk about me, yeah? You wanna know why I didn't take the risk with Buck?"
It's a rhetorical question. Still, Eddie says, "yes."
"Because." He shrugs. "Six days, six weeks, six months, six years. He'd never mean to, but. He was always going to break my heart, Eddie. And he was always going to break it for you."
There had been this moment when he'd first sat down in the confessional between the click of the door closing and Father Brian's greeting where the whole world had seemed to fall silent. It was a crushing thing. In that moment, twenty-three years of sins had fallen upon him like a helicopter. It was as if the booth itself was trying to swallow him whole. Now, Eddie feels it again. Feels it so vividly he almost thinks he's back in that stifling little wooden box. Feels it like a whole new confession, unforgivable and yet inevitable.
"And you were always going to let him, right?" Tommy doesn't even leave room for an answer. Just nods to himself. "You can be angry with me if you want. I hurt him, I know that. But I took the risk when I started this. The writing was on the wall from the beginning. I knew I was living on borrowed time, but... Well, I don't have to explain to you why he was worth it, do I?"
"W-what do youâ"
"God, Diaz," he groans, and presses his forehead against the edge of the door. "He was never trying to get my attention. Jesus. He spent that whole game pulling your pigtails."
"No, he was jealous ofâ"
"Of me because I had your attention." Tommy shakes his head. "I'm not doing this. I can't. Please leave."
And well, Eddie's never needed all that much of a nudge when it comes to running away. He's halfway to his truck when Tommy's voice stops him in his tracks.
"Hey, Eddie?"
"Yeah?" He turns, watches something complicated break across Tommy's face.
"He's worth the risk."
The door closes. Another opens.

Against Heaven and Hell~Yandere!Adam X Reader X Yandere!Lucifer
Hello, everybody! Welcome back to my Hazbin Hotel hyperfixation! Today I bring you a Yandere! Adam vs Yandere! Lucifer story. I think this one turned out alright but let me know what you think. As always, enjoy and have a great day/night!
Words: 1972
Warnings: Swearing, Adam being Adam, Car Crash, Contract Signing, Kidnapping
I bit my lip as I looked at myself in the full length mirror. The girls and I were going out tonight and I wanted to look my best. It had been a few months since weâd seen each other after all. I smoothed out my black and red plaid pants and fluffed my black dress shirt. Deciding I was presentable enough I walked to my kitchen. I grabbed my keys off the counter, put on my black bomber jacket and black boots, and walked out my apartment door. I locked the door behind me and continued my way to the elevator. Hitting the button for the first floor, I found myself tapping my foot as I waited.
Ding!
The doors opened and I walked out. I headed to the parking garage to the left of my apartment building and walked up the few flights of stairs to my car. Since I was the designated driver I made sure a few days before my vehicle was nice and tidy. I put on some tunes as I drove down several blocks before arriving near the center of the city. I parked on a side street and pulled out my phone, texting Ashley that I was ready for them. I scrolled through social media for a few minutes when there was a tap on my window. I looked up and saw Ashley, Shiloh and Tiffany standing there. I unlocked the doors and they all got in. âHey, girl! Long time no see!â Ashley, sitting in the passenger seat, gave me a tight hug.
âItâs nice to see all of you too. Gosh, it feels like itâs been forever.â
âIt really has. But no time is like the present as they say!â Tiffany piped up from the back seat.Â
We all nodded in agreement. âSo, where should we go?â
âHow about Titoâs? I heard they have a $3 special going on tonight.â Shiloh said.
âTitoâs it is then.â
With that I started the car and drove further into the city. We arrived at Titoâs around 7 pm and after parking the car, walked inside. The bar was quite busy that night with many couples sharing tables and others taking to the dance floor as a live band played. The four of us took to a booth across from the bar and ordered our drinks. The girls had gotten some classics like a gin and tonic, old fashioned and Manhattan while I just had my favorite soda. I was the designated driver after all. We sat and chatted for hours, and it soon was 10 pm and my friends were wasted. I struggled to carry all of them to the car as they giggled drunkenly, grasping onto me tightly. âOh my god, Y/n! Youâre so cute, you know that?â Shiloh said, giggling slightly.
âYeah, yeah.â
I had to lean Tiffany and Shiloh against the back door as I struggled to put Ashley in. âStop, Y/n! That tickles! Stop!â
I grunted as I managed to get her in with her seat belt on. Quickly I rounded to the back of the car and started to get Shiloh in. Tiffany slid to the ground and started to laugh uncontrollably. This was going to be a rough night.
It took about 15 minutes but I had finally gotten everybody in the car. I drove everybody back to Ashleyâs apartment and started to unload them into the hallway. âY/n, please stay. We can like have a big sleepover!â Ashley slurred.
âSorry, honey. Iâve got work in the morning. But Iâm sure Tiffany and Shiloh wouldnât mind your company.â
I leaned down to the âWelcomeâ mat by Ashleyâs door and grabbed the spare key. Unlocking the door, I dragged in all three girls. I placed Ashley on her armchair and Shiloh and Tiffany on the couch. Once I made sure they were all cozy, I snuck out before they could grab onto me. I made sure to replace the key under the mat before I walked back to my car.Â
The drive home was a bit chaotic. There were lots of people on the streets wandering around due to it being a Friday night and night life was hopping. I was placed out of my thoughts as my light turned green. I was in the middle of the intersection when suddenly my car was struck on the side by a much larger vehicle. I tried to regain control of the wheel as my stomach clenched, however, the car began to flip. I couldnât even get a scream out as another car came and smashed into the front of mine. I could feel the car being slid across the road before slamming into a building. My head flew forwards and smacked into the wheel before flying back. My vision was doubling as I heard faint screams from the street. Just as my eyes began to close, I could have sworn I saw golden wings descending from the sky.
Before I even opened my eyes, I could feel warmth around me. It didnât feel like a blanket or anything more like the Sun beaming down upon me. I slowly opened my eyes only to be blinded by bright light. Everything seemed to be overly saturated as I looked around and the gentle humming of violins filled the air. I sat up with a groan and held my head, a slight dull pain hitting it. What happened?
Suddenly, a set of double white doors flew open and revealed a tall, large man in a white, gold and purple robe, a demon looking mask on his face with black horns scraping behind his head. Beside him a smaller female with a black and white devilish mask, gray dress and white and black wings stood. âAh good, youâre finally awake, babe.â
âWho are you?â
âAdam, first man. Autographs are extra, sweetheart. And this is Lute, my assistant.â
I just stared at him. What in the world? âUm, I hate to ask, but where am I?â
âYouâre in Heaven, toots!â
âH-Heaven? You mean like Heaven and Hell Heaven?â
Adamâs yellow eyes rolled. âDuh! What other Heaven do you know of?â
My hands touched my chest and then my face. If Iâm here does that mean-
âYouâre not dead if thatâs what youâre thinking.â
âThen howâd I get here? I thought only dead people saw the Pearly Gates?â
Adamâs smile grew wide and the sight of fangs alarmed me. âI may have pulled a few strings to get you here. Please hold the applause. You can thank me later.â
âUm, okay.â
âIâll give you a few minutes to collect yourself, but donât keep me waiting for too long.â
He snapped his fingers and the two left. When the doors closed, I took a few moments to breathe. What exactly happened? All I could remember was driving back home from Ashleyâs apartment, getting into a huge car crash and golden wings descending from the sky. Could that have been Adam? But then did he know I was going to get into a wreck? Could angels predict that sort of stuff?Â
I shook my head and stood up from the bed I was on. Looking down I was in a light blue medical gown and my feet were bare. Was I in a hospital back on Earth? âYou almost ready in there, babe? Itâs been a while.â
âC-coming.â
âNot without me I hope.â
I stopped before the door. Did he say what I think he said? Whatever.
I opened it and stepped out. âFinally. Now come on, toots. Let the first man show you around!â
Before I could say anything, he slung a tight arm around my shoulders, and we walked off.Â
Heaven wasnât quite what I expected. It was almost like the city I lived in just without what would be considered sin. Every angel smiled and waved as the three of us walked by and it was almost sickening how happy everybody was. âSo how do you like Heaven, babe? Does it surpass your expectations?â
âI guess. I wasnât really expecting to be here. How did I get here again?â
âThat doesnât matter. The important thing is that weâre together! Especially now that youâve got a real man in your life!â
âSir, you said youâd hold off on that information.â
âOh whatâs the big deal, Lute? Toots will be stuck here anyway.â
I stopped walking and the two turned to look at me. âStuck here? What are you talking about? You said I wasnât dead.â
âNot yet. But as soon as my favor goes through then youâre all mine, sweetheart.â
âF-favor? Are you going to kill me?!â
âEh, sacrifices need to be made. But I can assure you my dick is good.â He winked.
âGet away from me!â
I bolted as fast as I could. âLute, grab her!â
I could hear the flapping of wings as I continued to run. Just as I was rounding a corner, I could feel myself falling. It wasnât fast but more like floating back to Earth. The light around me dissipated into a grayness and I felt myself land softly.
My eyes flickered open and it took me a few minutes to realize I was in a hospital room. I sat up quickly and looked around frantically. I couldnât see any angels around, so I leaned back in bed. A knock sounded at the wooden door and in walked a short man with blonde hair. He had on a white dress shirt and red tie, white pants and black boots. He stopped by the side of my bed and a pleased smile graced his lips. âThank goodness youâre alright. I thought youâd never wake up. You were in a coma for a few days.â
âYou are?â
âOh, forgive me, where are my manners? Dr Morningstar at your service. You were in quite the accident, little lady.âÂ
âWhat happened?â
âFrom what we were told it was quite the fatal car crash. Iâm not sure how it happened, but it seems like Heaven willed it to occur.â
He grit his teeth when he mentioned the glorious upstairs. Odd.
He went back to smiling at me and I couldnât tell if it was the lighting, but his eyes appeared red. âThe most important thing is we get you better. Iâm sure your husband is worried about you.â
âOh, Iâm not married.â
âI see.â
His gaze dropped to my hand and I became uncomfortable with how long it lingered there. âWell, Iâd better let you rest. Iâll be back later to check up on you.â
He bowed and exited the room, closing the door behind him. What is with today?
Over the next few weeks Dr Morningstar helped me recover. My friends came and visited a couple of times which was nice. I was told I could go home at any time soon. It was late one night when Dr Morningstar came into my room. âAlrighty then Y/n, I have your discharge papers right here.â
He handed me a stack of paperwork. âI just need you to sign the bottom.â
âOf course.â
I did as he said when suddenly the lights started to flicker. The room slightly shook as Dr Morningstar suddenly summoned a cane with an apple on top. âW-whatâs going on?â
âYou my dear, just signed your soul to me.â
âW-what?!â
âI didnât want to trick you like this I promise, but it needed to be done. Adam was getting too close to you.â
How could he know about Adam?Â
âThe douchebag spilled everything to me, trying to make me jealous I guess. But sad to say, youâre now mine.â
He walked closer and I attempted to run but was met with a whack to the head. âSweet dreams, darling.â
My eyes couldnât quite process the six wings and horns that my doctor gained as they closed.
Everything faded to black.

âđ Can I Get Your Number? âđ Ch 27
Jason Todd x (f)Chubby!Reader
written with a female reader in mind, first person pov, no use of Y/N, MDNI, let me know if there's anything else I should tag this with! The illustration 2nd from the right is from the book Love You Forever by Robert Munsch, as is the song quoted at the end.
warnings/labels:Â mommy kink mentioned, Bruce is aggressively Bruce-ish about things (ie; doesn't know how to deal with his own emotions), childhood neglect and its consequences mentioned briefly, and teeth-rotting fluff! wc: 2k
Chapter Selection
Damian stood in the garage, his hands behind his back and a carefully expressionless look on his face. I hopped off Jason's bike as he parked, pulling my helmet and gloves off. âHey kiddo!â
He nodded once. âSister. I read Father's report on what happened at the store yesterday.â
I blinked a bit, setting my gear to the side. âOh? ⊠I can't read you right now, what's up?â
He gestured to the floor in front of him, and I stood where he gestured. âOn your knees, please.â
I tilted my head, but did as he asked, and he finally showed me what was in his hands; a new bat-belt. This one orange, with more little black bats.
âAlready? It's only been a month.â I looked up at him, chuckling softly at the little smile on his face.
âYou were confronted by one of our villains, kept your cool, made and executed a plan using the resources available to you, and the only person who got hurt was Two-Face. Your training is coming along well, and you have earned this.â He spoke in the same language I didn't know from last time, bowing and holding the belt out to me, and I accepted it, bowing back.
âThank you, Sensei.â I grinned, slowly standing.
He nodded, turning to Jason. âI suppose you deserve congratulations too, since you didn't ruin her plan.â
I chuckled, kissing Jay's cheek as he approached; ânever had a doubt in my mind~â
His arms wrapped around my waist, kissing back. âLil' mama did good yesterday~â
Damian frowned. âShe is not my mama, Todd.â
I chuckled, gently swatting Jason's side. âHe's not using it that way, Damian, don't worry.â
He stared up at me for a moment before realization crossed his face, followed immediately by the faintest glimpse of horror. He wrinkled his nose, turning on his heel. âDisgusting.â
We followed him to the elevator, Jason smirking; âwhat, but when I call her âsweetheartâ and âdollâ that doesn't bother you?â
âI did not say that. Frankly, you are both unnecessarily sentimental about each other.â He put in the code to take us down to the Batcave.
âYou'll understand someday, kiddo. And on that day, I promise not to lord it over you ⊠too much.â I smirked.
âI assure you, I will never understand that.â The door opened and he stepped out. I headed to the bathroom to change into my training clothes before following Damian to the mats for warm-ups. Before stepping into the circle, I fell to my knees and tied my new belt.
Duke grinned, sitting beside the mats on a break. âOoh, orange?â
Steph scoffed, plopping down next to him. âThat's not fair, you still haven't made the rest of us belts.â
âDrake has already done this number, and as I told him, that will not be happening.â Damian pulled his gloves on, and I did the same.
âWhere's B?â Jason looked around.
âWrapping up some WE stuff.â Tim hummed softly; âhe'll be along.â
We trained for almost an hour before Bruce finally joined us. Steph and I finished a sparring session and bowed to each other before I turned to Bruce. He had an almost cold, detached look in his eyes.
âYou are well?â
â... Yeah?â Something about his careful tone had the hairs on the back of my neck standing on edge. Jason stepped closer, putting a hand on my shoulder. He must have felt it too.
âNo lingering anxieties from yesterday's events?â
âNope, Iâm good!â
Bruce nodded once. âExcellent. Then you can explain what exactly you were thinking!â
â... Excuse me?â I tilted my head, looking between him and Jay. Had I done something wrong? Jason looked as confused as I felt, surely I hadn't messed up too badâŠ
âThat stunt you pulled could have killed you. I am certain none of my children told you to do that, so why don't you explain what was going through your head?â Bruce growled softly.
âEase off, Bruce!â Jason snapped.
âNo, it's ok, Jay. You want to know what I was thinking, Bruce? It went something like this; âfuck, this was not the plan for today. We are radically off plan. Oh! Well now Jason's here, so everythingâs gonna be fine! Just have to figure out how to get out from between his gun and Two-Face's torso⊠Easiest way to do that is probably to drop! Just gotta subtly get Jason's attention so he knows my plan, and ⊠there! Problem solved!â ⊠anything I need to go back over for ya?â
Bruce was clearly not amused by me pantomiming my thoughts. âThat was incredibly dangerous! You should have stayed still and let us do our jobs.â
I took a deep breath, trying desperately to contain my frustration before I spoke. â... If you had been alone, playing the helpless victim would have been safer. But with Jason there, my plan was perfectly safe. I knew Jay would understand my hand signals, and has the reflexes to respond accordingly. I trust him with my life, and yesterday just proved I'm right to. My idea was risky, but it went flawlessly, and it went so well because Jason is extraordinary, and perfectly capable. So please, don't insult him by pretending you don't know how amazing he is. Not in front of me.â
The entire room stilled; everyone watched us, almost afraid to breathe. Bruce stared me down, glaring. â... I know very well how skilled my son is. I don't like you making him shoot a man on your behalf.â
Jason growled, pulling me against him. âShut up, Bruce. She didn't make me do anything, I was waiting for an opening to take him down! All she did was create that opening. She did beautifully yesterday, you just don't like that your role in her plan was to be the distraction.â
Damian's hand slipped into mine, making me jump; I hadn't even heard him approach. I looked down, squeezing his hand gently. He hesitantly turned to Bruce, determination and frustration in his eyes. âYou are being unfair, Father. She's a civilian. Her ability to stay calm in that situation was impressive, let alone the rest of it.â
Bruce looked between Jason and Damian; one practically shielding me from his father with his own body, the other clinging to me like a lost duckling. Bruce's eyes finally settled on me, hardening. â... Which of my children will you steal next, girl?â
I sighed softly. âBruce, I am not trying to steal your children. No one can steal your children; they love you very much. But they are also allowed to disagree with you without it meaning that you are losing them. You need to get used to that idea, before you push them away.â
Damian frowned deeply, staring at the ground in front of his feet. Bruce turned on his heel, storming out. As he passed, he growled; âDick, you're in charge of training today.â
Damian slowly dropped my hand, taking a slow, deep breath. After a moment he started walking toward the bathroom, letting gravity slam the door behind him. I sighed softly, leaning against Jason's broad chest. His arms cradled me and he kissed my forehead.
â... He'll be alright. ⊠B will calm down, and they'll work it out. It'll be fine.â
I sighed softly, stroking his side gently. â... Bruce's feelings shouldn't be on any of your shoulders like that⊠They're his feelings to process.â
Dick smiled weakly. âHe knows that. He's ⊠he tries. He's getting better, it's just ⊠slow.â
I nodded slowly, frowning a bit. Dick began pairing people up for more sparring, and Jason had me sit to take a break.
Damian hesitantly looked up at me, fiddling with the hem of his sleep shirt. Usually Jason tried to be home by the time we headed for bed, but that wasn't possible tonight so our usual bedtime routine was a bit disrupted.
â... This is absurd.â Damian muttered softly.
âIt's ok if you don't want to do it, it was just an idea, since Jason's not here. I know you prefer not to be too affectionate around others.â I smiled gently, adjusting my pillows the way I liked them.
â... I didn't say that.â He admitted under his breath, slowly climbing onto the bed. âJust ⊠feels silly. ⊠You understand I'm fourteen?â
âYes, I understand. But you've also been denied a lot of the standard childhood experiences, and this seemed like one you might enjoy. ⊠Frankly, all of you Wayne boys seem to be distinctly touch-starved. It's a bit concerningâŠâ
He nodded slowly. â... And no one will know? ⊠Todd won't barge in?â
âJason said not to expect him until morning, and he doesn't have a key, so there's no chance he'll walk in while we're asleep. No one has to know anything you don't want them to. You get to decide.â I sat on the bed with my legs crossed, and Damian slowly scooted forward to sit next to me, draping his legs over mine. He slowly leaned against my shoulder, and we wrapped our arms around each other.
He shifted a few times, frowning. After a minute he whispered; â... Is it supposed to feel like this?â
âLike what, little one?â
â... It feels ⊠pleasant. ⊠But also strange.â He frowned more, looking up at me; â... It's like ⊠my stomach is screaming that this is wrong, but my chest is screaming back that it's actually entirely right?â
I nodded, gently running my fingers through his hair. âThat makes sense. When you're not used to being touched, it can feel very weird, even scary. ⊠I know some people who experienced such impactful childhood neglect that they get nauseous just holding hands with a friend.â
He blinked a bit, leaning against me. â... Neglect âŠâ
I nodded, stroking his back gently. âYeah, they had pretty rough childhoods. ⊠They're getting therapy though, and it's helping.â
His arms tightened around my waist, and he rested his cheek against my shoulder; â... So, most people don't feel ⊠weird about this?â
âNo, not typically, with people they care about. ⊠Hugs are supposed to make us feel warm, and safe, and cared for.â
â... Is that why Jon likes them so much? Is he seeking reassurance that we are close?â
âIt's possible. Or he's trying to reassure you that you're important to him. And some people just enjoy the touch.â Damian seemed to consider that for a moment.Â
â... I think ⊠it's alright. ⊠With you, ⊠and with Jon. ⊠I like the thing you do with my hair.â
I smiled softly, stroking his hair more. âI'm glad, kiddo.â
He settled against me, sighing softly. â... Sister?â
âYes, baby brother?â
â... I ⊠why do you do these things?â He mumbled into his chest.
âWhat things, kiddo?â
â... The craft kits, and this, and ⊠everything else.â He looked up at me slowly; â... Why are you so nice to me?â
âOh. Well, because I love you Damian.â I smiled softly, rubbing the back of his head gently.
His face stilled, an instinct to hide his emotions, but I had learned to see the emotion in his eyes, and they were filled with wonder. â... Really?âÂ
âOf course I do, darling~ I love you very much, baby brother.â
He hugged me tighter, smiling weakly. â... I love you too, Sister.â
I kissed the top of his head, holding him close and gently rocking him as long as he wanted to stay in my grasp. Eventually we laid down to sleep, his back pressed firmly against my chest, and he whispered; â... Ok, ⊠you said youâd sing?â
I chuckled softly and stroked his hair in delicate, soothing patterns, singing lullabies until he dozed off in my arms. He snored softly, and I kissed the top of his head. One last song came to mind - one from a book my family liked to read before bed when I was little;
âIâll love you forever,
Iâll like you for always,
As long as Iâm living,
My baby youâll be.â

Being a race engineer was hard enough as it is, but being a race engineer with a little baby was even harder. Normally, you were able to find someone within Hitech to watch your baby girl -Aurora- but this week everyone was a little bit more busy than normalÂ
âYou know if I wasnât racing Iâd watch Roryâ Paul smiled, waving his hands at the baby in your armsÂ
âI know you would, Paul, but weâre on pole today, and weâre going to convert it to a winâ You smiled, rubbing his shoulderÂ
âI want to top the championship againâ You nodded with a proud smileÂ
âWeâre going to get you thereâ You nodded, placing Rory down on the office floor. Going over the data from last year and the last race with Paul was not as easy as it looked because he was always getting distracted by the smallest things, including Rory, who was playing with her toys.Â
It was an hour later when you were walking through the F1 paddock to meet up with Bryan, who you were helping slightly with his new role within Ferrari. Sat in the Ferrari meeting room with Rory in a sling as you talked Bryan through some basic information heâd need to know for this race about the race engineering side of things.Â
âYou donât fancy babysitting, do you?â You asked Bryan as you walked out of the Ferrari garageÂ
âSorry Iâve still got my performance coach jobs to doâ You noddedÂ
âWas worth a shot anywayâ You sighedÂ
âHey Y/Nâ Liam smiled instantly, going to play with Rory like the biggest child he was.Â
âHey there, sweets. Hey, what are you saying today, hmm?â Liam asked AuroraÂ
âSheâs asking if her favourite non-biological uncle wants to babysit her?â You asked with a smile
âSorry Y/N/N VCARBS got me on standby cause Yuki isnât feeling the best after his crash yesterdayâ You sighed with a nodÂ
âWell good luck if that happensâ You smiled, rubbing his shoulder. Liam was your first driver when you joined Hitech, but at that point, you were still on probation and starting to learn everything.Â
âMax is in the Mclaren garage thoughâ He shrugged, and you smiledÂ
âLiam Lawson, you are the best. I really hope you get that seat, but Iâll keep the rest of my opinions to myselfâ You hugged him as he said bye to Aurora. Walking back to the F2 paddock, you searched out the old phone number you hadnât used in a very long time.Â
You and Max used to be close because he was good friends with Liam and used to hang around the Hitech garage and being the same age it was easy to get along with him.Â
You sat Aurora down on a play mat in the meeting room as you sat to work on quick information before qualifying for the day. Paul walked in a couple of minutes later, sitting down opposite you with his elbows on the table and head resting on his handsÂ
âHello there, Mr Aronâ You looked at him, and he smiledÂ
âThereâs a guy here to see youâ He smirked, and you frownedÂ
âA guy? Does this guy have a name?â You asked, glancing at Aurora to make sure sheâs okay.Â
âMax. Thatâs all he said, but itâs Norrisâ friend Max. I canât remember his last nameâ He shrugged, getting up and walking out
âPaulâ you called, and he stuck his head in through the doorÂ
âTell him where I am? He knows his way aboutâ You asked with a polite smileÂ
âOnly cause Iâve got to listen to youâ You chuckled, turning back to the data finishing up the report you were writing for Paul. There was a knock on the door, and you turned to look at it. A smile grew on your face as you spotted Max waving him in as Aurora waved her hands at the new figure.Â
âHey strangerâ He smiled, and you chuckled a littleÂ
âIâm not the stranger. Youâre the one that doesnât visitâÂ
âToucheâ Max nodded, and you motioned him to sit down, to which he sat down next to youÂ
âStill focused on data, I seeâ You nodded
âYou know Iâm a sucker for some good dataâ You shrugged, and he noddedÂ
âSo how are you doing?â He askedÂ
âStressed but happy, I guessâ You shruggedÂ
âHow about you? Saw youâve gained quite a few followers on twitchâ You smiled, and he noddedÂ
âYeah. Taking a break from racing was really the thing that I needed, and Iâm glad I did itâ You smiledÂ
âIâm glad to hear youâre doing betterâ You nodded as Aurora clapped her hands. You looked down at her, picking her upÂ
âThis little cutie, why youâre stressed?â He asked as Rory grabbed his fingerÂ
âYeah sheâs also the massive favour I needâ You bit your lip, and he noddedÂ
âNeed a babysitter?â He asked, and you noddedÂ
âYouâre totally free to say no. I know youâve never actually met her in person and just seen pictures on instagram, but if you could, I would be so grateful and would pay you back however you wantedâ You sighedÂ
âCan I?â He asked, holding his arms out, and you nodded, handing her overÂ
âShe likes attention, so as long as sheâs got that sheâs the happiest baby everâ you explained, and he noddedÂ
âIâm sorry about your boyfriend. I just know he would have been the greatest dadâ You nodded with a sighÂ
âShe looks so much like him sometimes it hurtsâ Max placed a hand on your knee, gently caressing itÂ
âSorry I shouldnât have brought it upâ You placed your hand on top of his gently, holding his handÂ
âDo you need a babysitter all weekend?â You noddedÂ
âUnfortunately. I can normally find someone within the team or someone that I know, but unfortunately Iâm not able to this weekendâ Max noddedÂ
âThen Iâll watch her all weekend if you needâ He smiled, and you hugged himÂ
âThank you, thank you, thank youâ You smiled, letting out a breathÂ
âBut Iâm taking her to the Mclaren garage tomorrowâ You chuckledÂ
âForget about your own past then and go to your futureâ You joked, and he jokingly shoved you awayÂ
âBut honestly, whatever you want in return Iâll do itâ You sat back, rubbing your face in reliefÂ
âGo on a date with meâ He whispered, and you looked at him
âWhat?â You askedÂ
âIâve been wanting to ask you for years and now that youâre due me something in return I feel like now is the perfect time to askâ He hummed with a slight smirk hidden underneath a smileÂ
âFine. On Sunday as paymentâ You nodded, and he smiled, looking at the wallÂ
âYou need to get ready for qualifying. Iâll wait in here with this cutieâ He smiledÂ
âAurora or Rory. I think you probably already knew that thoughâ Max noddedÂ
âI did. I follow you on instagram and check up on you every so oftenâ You chuckled, getting up kissing Roryâs headÂ
âThank you again, Max. If she needs her diaper changed thereâs diapers in my office. Same place that it used to be. Sheâs been fed, so sheâll be fine until after qualifying. Any other worries, please just text me. Donât even think about crossing the pit laneâ Max noddedÂ
âPlease donât worry about her. I promise sheâll be okay in my care. Are you okay if I call LN over, though?â He asked, and you noddedÂ
âYeah itâs fineâ You smiled, grabbing your pass and walking out of the meeting room. You let out a breath, knowing that you could do your job without worrying about Rory.Â
And thatâs what you did. Paul had a good qualifying session for both the sprint and feature race. Once that was over, you quickly rushed back to the meeting room. Max was sitting on the floor with Rory, who was giggling at him as she pulled on his beard. You chuckled, sitting down at the desk as Max looked up at youÂ
âSheâs a little cutie, but sheâs also a trouble childâ You nodded with a laughÂ
âDid I forget to mention that part?â You jokedÂ
âDo you need me to stay until after the debrief?â Max askedÂ
âThat would be really helpful, but Iâm not sure thatâs allowedâ you replied, and he noddedÂ
âWhat if I take her for a walk? Is she due a nap?â He asked, and you noddedÂ
âActually that would be really helpful. If I put her in the pram, would you be okay with taking her for a walk?â You askedÂ
âI wouldnât have offered it if it wasnât okay. I can walk her over to the F1 paddock, and you can get her from there when youâre done for the dayâ He suggestedÂ
âThank you again, Max. I really appreciate this just being sprung on you after us not talking for agesâ
âFor this little troublesome cutie Iâd do it more often if you neededâ You chuckledÂ
âTrust me, you wonât be saying that by Sunday nightâ You smiled, grabbing her pram from the side of the room before building it and putting her in it. You gave her her binkie before turning to Max.Â
âOkay she should be good until Iâm finished for the dayâ You smiled, and he nodded, walking with her just as everyone started filling the room. After debriefing, you packed up Roryâs toys and your own stuff before walking over to the F1 paddock and over to the Mclaren garage.Â
âHey Y/Nâ Oscar smiled, standing at his carÂ
âHey Oscar. Have you seen Max?â You asked, and he pointed towards Landoâs side of the garage
âThanksâ You walked over and into the garage, smiling at the mechanics that you knewÂ
âThere she isâ Max smiled gently, rocking the pramÂ
âHey babysitting, looking good on youâ you joked, looking into the pram
âShe makes it easyâ You laughed as he let you take the pramÂ
âThank you again. Iâll text you later with my meeting times and all that kind of thingâ Max noddedÂ
âSee you tomorrowâ You walked out of the Mclaren garage, ready for the best sleep of your week.Â
When the next day rolled around and you were walking into the F2 paddock, you knew that Rory was going to be in safe hands and that you just had to be ready for the race ahead.Â
Max was standing outside the Hitech garage leaning against one of the walls, talking to one of the mechanics he knew as Rory played with our hands strapped to your chestÂ
âHey Y/Nâ Max smiled as you walked overÂ
âHey there, Mr Babysitterâ you joked
âIs the nugget ready for her big day with lots of affection?â Max asked, and you noddedÂ
âShe sure is, but Iâm gonna keep her for the morning if thatâs okayâ Max noddedÂ
âOf course it is. Want me there?â He askedÂ
âIf you donât mind sitting on the floor with her againâ Max shook his headÂ
âWould be my pleasureâ You smiled, leading him inside and to the meeting room that was going to be used for the day. Setting up Roryâs stuff on the floor before setting her on the floor beside MaxÂ
âThank you again Maxâ You smiled, and he nodded. Sitting down to do morning brief, Paul walked in, instantly going over to Aurora
âHey maiustus (sweets)â Paul smiled, squishing her cheeks
âPaul please sit down, the whole team is just waiting on youâ You complained and he sat down going over yesterdayâs data and things that had to be done today to get a good finish in the sprint.Â
Once all the other members of the team had finally left, you turned around to Rory. Paul was still sitting next to you as he scrolled through his phone, definitely avoiding his trainer but not wanting to admit it. Rory reached her arms up with a giggle as you picked her upÂ
âHey little troublemakerâ You kissed her head as you got up from the seat, Max, stretching his back as you chuckled at himÂ
âI know I said she needs attention to be happy, but you donât have to sit on the floor with herâ You smiled as he got upÂ
âEasier to get down to her level rather than bring her up to mineâ He shruggedÂ
âShe likes sitting on the tableâ you shrugged, closing the meeting room door and pulling the blinds down so that no one could see in as you heard Paul whineÂ
âThought you were hiding me, but I just saw the timeâ You laughed, ruffling his hair as you sat down againÂ
âYou really need to go start your warm up and do media though Paulâ You sighed, feeding Rory as Paul groaned, getting upÂ
âOnly cause I wanna winâ You laughed as Max stood awkwardlyÂ
âYou can sit Fewtrellâ You chuckled at his face. Poor guy was uncomfortable even being in the same room as you fed Aurora.Â
âI donât wanna make you uncomfortableâ He frowned, and you shruggedÂ
âIâve been doing this for the past four months with strangers. Weâre not strangers. Therefore, I donât careâ you replied, looking up at him as he sat down.Â
A little while later, Aurora was finished feeding, burped, and had her diaper changed before you handed her over to Max for the day who was taking her over to the Mclaren motorhome. You explained where everything in her bag was kept along with how to warm some milk up in case she needed it. Max assured you multiple times that she would be okay and that you could just come to the Mclaren garage to get her at the end of the day.Â
Throughout the day, Max was subject to some teasing from Lando about his babysitting as Lando knew about his crush on you and had for many years.Â
Once the race and debrief were done, you were finally able to leave the F2 paddock with Paul trailing behind you because he didnât want to be alone again. In reality, he was hiding from the ice bath he was meant to be in, but heâd never admit that to anyone.Â
âHey Y/L/Nâ Andrea Stella smiled as you walked over to the Mclaren garageÂ
âHey. Iâm looking for Lando. Well Iâm assuming heâs with Landoâ You shruggedÂ
âOh heâs in the hospitality with Max and a random child?â He frowned, and you noddedÂ
âPerfect. Thatâs my second bornâ you joked, nudging your head in Paulâs direction. Andrea laughedÂ
âIâm on three or so nowâ He joked, and you laughedÂ
âThey learn to listen any better any time?â You asked, and he shook his head with a laughÂ
âNo. Neverâ You laughed, shaking your headÂ
âDamn it. Well Iâm gonna find my baby and her newest babysittersâ You walked off to the Mclaren hospitality with Paul trailing behind you, scrolling through his phone. You walked inside, looking about as Paul instantly walked over to Rory, picking her up off the table. You followed him over, rolling your eyes as Paul picked up his role with Rory.Â
At this point, Paul was like Roryâs big brother, and there was nothing you could do to stop how much he actually loved your little girl. You took another picture as you leaned against the chair Max was sitting in, smiling at Lando, and Oscar was sitting opposite him.Â
âHey. Looked like a good raceâ Max smiled up at you as you noddedÂ
âHey. It was a very good race considering the pit stop errorsâ You shrugged, and he noddedÂ
âHow was Aurora?â You asked him, looking over at Paul and Aurora
âThink Iâve got a bald spot in my beard now. However, apart from that, she was an angelâ Max shrugged, showing you a picture of Rory sitting in Landoâs car. You chuckledÂ
âIf she looked tiny in the F2 cars, she looked even smaller in that F1 carâ You chuckled, and he laughedÂ
âYou in a rush out of here?â Max asked, and you shook your headÂ
âNope. I do need to stop by and see Liam, though. Wish him luck for tomorrowâ You shrugged, and Max pulled out the seat next to him, and you sat down
âStill wouldnât move up to F1?â Oscar asked, and you looked over at Rory and Paul, who were sat on the floorÂ
âI think if Paul was to move up, then I would, but only with Paul, he actually listens to meâ You glared at Max, who shruggedÂ
âI wasnât your driver. I was just there to annoy youâ Max shrugged, and you rolled your eyes. Over the next half an hour, you spoke with Lando, Max, and Oscar, but Lando and Oscar soon had to go get ready for qualifying, so it was just you and Max. Paul was rocking Aurora to sleep as you watched him with a tilt of your head.Â
âI keep losing my daughter to my driverâ You chuckled, getting up
âSame time tomorrow?â Max asked, and you nodded
âOnly if youâre still okay with looking after her for another dayâ You rested a hand on the back of his seat. Max was doing you a favour, and you didnât want to push him to do something he wasnât completely comfortable with.Â
âYeah, of course Iâm okay with it. Actually Iâm more than okay with it because I get something out of this as wellâ He smiled looking up at you to the outside world it looked like he was deadly in love but to yourself it just looked like Max was happy.
Sunday was always a busy day. However, this weekend just felt like it was an even busier day. Sat in your office, Aurora sat in her pram asleep as you sat with your headphones in going over some basic work you didnât hear Max come in.Â
He stood next to you, gently pushing a piece of hair out of your face as you sat back in your seat, looking up at him when you felt his presence standing next to you. You smiled up to him, taking your headphones offÂ
âMorningâ He smiled, taking the pen out of your hand and placing it down on the tableÂ
âHey. Didnât hear you come inâ You hummed, looking up at him after following his actions with the penÂ
âThatâs because you were so caught up in your work that you didnât hear anything, including Paulâ You frowned, looking at the time. You hadnât missed any meetings or events that you were due to be at.Â
âItâs fine he just wanted to see if you wanted anything to eatâ You nodded slightlyÂ
âI had breakfast before coming hereâ You looked at the time again as Max sat down next to youÂ
âIâm gonna take Aurora a walk around the paddock then into Mclaren, and I was thinking that you could always come watch the F1 race with me from there?â He offered, and you noddedÂ
âI quite like the sound of thatâ You smiled, tilting your head slightlyÂ
âAnd I was thinking about our dateâ He started, and you quickly interrupted himÂ
âCan we do it back home? My flight out of here is tonight, and I canât get it changed unless I pay for it and afterâ You paused, glancing over at RoryÂ
âLet me worry about that. Iâm the one that asked you out on the date, so Iâll worry about thatâ He smiled, gently resting his hand on top of yours.Â
âSo howâs the little darling today?â He asked, looking over at Auroraâs pram.Â
âSheâs quite sleepy today, so bonus for you, I guess. However, it's just because sheâs starting to teeth, so she might get a little fussy or bite youâ You shrugged, and he nodded, getting up just as Paul and his trainer walked in Paul was clearly in a mood about something as you raised your eyebrows.Â
Max played with your hair as he stood behind you, and you couldnât help but smile a little. He used to do that when Liam was your driver a few years ago. Itâs like to this day even after limited contact, he still knew when you were hiding your stressÂ
âHe wonât let me have a chocolate bagelâ Paul huffed, throwing himself down on the chair Max was previously in as you looked at his trainer who shruggedÂ
âToo many carbs before a race. Especially when itâs half an hour away. I suggested alternatives, but that wasnât good enoughâ The man just shrugged before turning and walking out the room, clearly not wanting to have this fight again
âPaul, we've been over this. You canât come expecting me to solve your carb problem. Iâve already snuck you enough this weekend as it is. Why donât you have a smoothie? I know youâre just bored, which is why youâre eatingâ Paul gave you a look as if youâd just suggested murdering his whole family.Â
âYou can get me and Max one while youâre thereâ you suggested, knowing that Paul would do anything for anyone else if offered the opportunity, so Paul got up and left the room again. You looked up at Max the top of your head resting against his stomachÂ
âI know I asked you on a date and agreed to babysit your child, but have I ever told you how good you look doing your job?â He asked, and you raised a brow thinking about itÂ
âI believe you may have back when I was a taken womanâ You shrugged with a slight smirkÂ
âYouâre trouble, you know that?â He asked as you tilted your head to the side a little, turning around to fully face himÂ
âMe? Never? Thatâs all Aurora, and she doesnât even get it from meâ you joked, and he laughed, looking down at you. You couldnât help but smile up at him.Â
âHow long does it take for Paul to get some smoothies?â Max asked, and you shrugged
âNo idea? In a rush to go somewhere?â You questioned, and he shook his headÂ
âNo. Was just wonderingâ You nodded, turning back to the data, and he sighed, sitting downÂ
âYouâre not going to stop, are you?â He questionedÂ
âNope. I am not. I need to get this finished before the race startsâ You sighed as he moved your hands away from the laptop and shut the lid, forcing you to look at himÂ
âIf I was to kiss you right now, would it stop stressing out about the data?â He asked as your eyes widened
âWhat did you just ask?â You questionedÂ
âSorry. I shouldnât have said that out loud. I didnât mean to say that out loudâ He panicked as you turned to fully face him, leaning forward in your seatÂ
You looked into his eyes, trying to see any kind of emotion behind them to make sure what he was saying was actually true. You got up out of your seat, taking his hand and giving him a slight pull-up as you did. Max stood up, standing in front of youÂ
âSorry. I really didnât mean to say thatâ You leaned up, pressing your lips against his with a slight smile. Max froze for a second before kissing you back. One hand resting on the small of your back as the other stayed in your own.Â
âEwâ Paul groaned loudly before there were a couple of thuds and the door slamming. You pulled back, looking over Maxâs shoulder to see Paul covering his eyes outside. You couldnât help but laugh a littleÂ
âI get a life for the moment, and thatâs how he reactsâ Max laughed as you rested your head on his shoulder as he rested his own on your head. You waved Paul in through the window as Max rubbed your back. You couldnât help but laugh a little again as Paul walked back in carefullyÂ
âWarning next time, come on. With Rora in here as well?!â He exclaimed. You rolled your eyes as he picked Aurora, shielding her face from who knows what. Only heâll ever know because itâs not a question that you were planning on asking him anytime soon.Â
âI got your normal and for Max, I just guessedâ Paul pointed towards the smoothies on the tableÂ
âThank you. Now, will you please put Rory back down and go warm up. I promise you can cuddle her after the race. Promiseâ You smiled, and he nodded, placing her down and walking out as you sat back down, turning to look at MaxÂ
âWell if Paulâs away getting ready, I guess I have to let you get readyâ He smiled, looking into the pram at Aurora.Â
âSame as yesterday, but Iâve left a bottle in her bag. You just need to warm it up a little bitâ you explained, and he nodded slightlyÂ
âHow do I do that?â He asked, and you chuckled, walking overÂ
âSo take the plastic cover off ,obviously, then just put it in the microwave for like thirty seconds but make sure that itâs lukewarm on the inside of your wristâ Maxâs head quickly turned around at that and you rolled your eyes with a laughÂ
âItâs just formula, Max. Donât worry, I just pre-made it for youâ Max nodded, picking up her blanket and placing it over the handle of the pram.Â
âOkay. We should be okay. If need be, I can text you, yeah?â He asked, and you noddedÂ
âOf course you can. Oh, and in the diaper bag next to her bottle thereâs a little something for youâ You smiled, leaning into the pram and pressing a kiss to Auroraâs head.Â
âWeâll be good,â Max nodded with some kind of fake courage. You smiledÂ
âBe good for Maxie hmmâ You kissed the babies head before standing up again and taking the few steps over to Max, who smiled down at you as you rested your chin on his chestÂ
âDonât worry. Go do your job. Weâll be watching, or I will. The little muffin will probably be sleepingâ You grinned, standing up on your tiptoes just a little to kiss him. You grabbed your computer before walking out of your office and out to the garage.Â
âDid you get my email?â Oliver asked, and you noddedÂ
âI did. Congratulations. Youâll do good in F1â You smiled, shaking his hand as a congratulationsÂ
âThank you. There will be an email coming your way soon, no doubtâ You couldnât help but frown at that as Oliver walked away. Getting everything set up for Paulâs race both in the garage and the pit wall before the pre race mechanical stuff happened while you just sat there waiting.
Max did keep sending you pictures throughout the race that you couldnât help but smile at when the notification kept coming through. Paulâs race went brilliantly as good as it could possibly get as Paul won. After the podium, you got yourself changed out of the wet Hitech uniform as Paul decided to pour the last of the champagne over your head during the pictures.
You packed up everything after the debrief and headed over to the Mclaren hospitality again. It currently felt like you were never away from that place. As you walked through the paddock, you couldnât help but still wonder what Oliver meant by there will be an email for you soon. It really did worry you a bit.Â
You smiled at the woman standing outside the hospitality before walking in and spotting Max sitting in the corner with Aurora asleep in his arms all cuddled up. You couldnât help but smile as you sat down on the couch next to himÂ
âOh how I wish I could fall asleep like thatâ You sighed, and he chuckledÂ
âSheâs been out for about twenty minutes. I gave her her bottle and she just fell asleepâ You noddedÂ
âSounds about rightâ You smiled, looking down at her. Her cheek pressed against Maxâs chest as her tiny hand held onto one of his fingers. You couldnât help but take a picture as you watched them.Â
âRace went really wellâ Max grinned as you looked at himÂ
âIt went really well. Iâm so proudâ you beamed. Eyes flicking down to AuroraÂ
âDo you want me to take her? Sheâs okay if you want to put her down in the pramâ You frowned, knowing how easy it is to get a dead arm while holding herÂ
âSheâs okay. Iâm actually enjoying the cuddles rather than her pulling my beard outâ You chuckled, caressing her cheek.Â
âYou still want to stay to watch the race?â He asked, tilting his head so he could see you better
âYeah that would be niceâ You grinned, getting more comfortable on the couch, knowing that Max wasnât planning on moving to watch the race by the way he was sitting. Max smiled down at you, looking at your emailsÂ
âOliver said thereâd be an email coming my way soon. Now I canât stop looking at my emailsâ You sighedÂ
âOliver Oakes?â Max questioned, and you noddedÂ
âAny idea what it was about?â Max asked, and you shook your headÂ
âHonestly, I have no idea. As long as Iâm not being firedâ You shrugged, and he noddedÂ
âIâd comfort you, but your daughter has stolen both my handsâ You laughedÂ
âThereâs worse ways for you to have your hands stolenâ you repliedÂ
âGuess thatâs trueâ He smiledÂ
You sat for the next two hours with Max in the Mclaren hospitality watching the Formula One race. It was an experience youâd never actually forget. Not even just because you were sitting in the F1 paddock but because Maxâs reactions to something so tiny were so large.Â
As you were walking out the paddock with Aurora in her pram, Max walked next to you while Lando and Oscar trailed behind Max, turned his head to look at you
âI sent you an email during the race with the details for our date and for after itâ You frownedÂ
âAfter it?â You asked, and he noddedÂ
âGot you on the flight with Lando and I so you could spend another night hereâ He explainedÂ
âYou didnât have to do thatâ you repliedÂ
âI know I didnât have to, but I saw the perfect place for a date here. Couldnât let it go to wasteâ He smiled

âč á(á ÂŽ Ë)à© âĄ âŠ DUMB & POETIC âĄ
track eight of the short nâsweet series. pairing: dbf!johnb + reader. based loosely off the song dumb & poetic by sabrina carpenter. enjoy! à»ê°Ő Üž. .ÜžŐê±
word travels fast when youâre hopelessly in love with your dads best and youngest friend.
rain was starting to spit down on the crown of your head as you marched your way up the dry grass to the chateau. a storm was headed your way, and john b was probably to give you a real earful at the fact youâd even walked here so late in the evening with a storm on the horizon but that didnât matter. it seemed a feeble thing now, too focused on the tugging of your heart strings.
âold john bâs got himself a date.â your father had chuckled into his newspaper that morning and you froze at the sink, pouring milk into your coffee. your skin felt hot, eyes prickly.
âwhat?â you ask quietly, trying your hardest to sound unshaken by the news.
âthe guys down at the garage stitched him up. i didnât get involved, was too busy working but⊠yeah. finally getting himself out there. was wonderinâ when he might. times ticking for him.â
your milk pours over the rim of your now overflowing coffee mug and you curse, lurching to clean it up.
now youâre knocking at the older manâs door, shivering from the icy droplets that are tickling your hot skin. you feel feverish, wrong, all muddled up. john b was yours.
heâs frowning when he opens the door, and you donât let him speak.
âis it true?â you yell over the wind, voice cracking and he pulls you inside by the arm.
âuhm, did you walk here in a storm? are youâ what, have you lost your mind now?â
âis it true, john b?â you donât lower your voice even though youâre inside now, infact your words are punctuated by a harsh shove at his chest. he stills, staring down at you solemnly and shamefully.
âi assume yourâŠdad told youââ
âso this â us, it just means nothing to you?â you go in for another push, crying now and he catches your wrists, eyes softening sympathetically as he pulls you in.
âyou know thatâs not true. look, listen to meââ
âwho is she?â you wail and he holds your wrists tighter.
âlisten to me!â he raises his weathered brow, hands loosening around your wrists just enough to swipe his fingers gently in windscreen wipers on the skin. you stare up at him expectedly â fat tears even frozen on your cheeks and his shoulders drop slightly. how was he meant to compete? it wasnât fair when you looked at him like that. âthe guys at the garage set me up.â he explains calmly and youâre quick to cut him off.
âand you agreed! you could have just saidââ
âi have to! okay iââ he takes a breath, ripping his fisherman cap off to run a hand through matted brown hair, streaks of silvery grey through the sides illuminated in the warm orangey light of the chateau that made your heart clench with fondness and familiarity. âits not right that iâm feeling this way for someone so much younger than me, and more importantly â itâs not right that youâre dating someone so much older! you should⊠i donât know, be out there! experiencing the dating pool! going on dates with guys that are allowed to be seen with you! not⊠your dads friend.â he shakes his head, defeated.
âi donât care about all that!â you step up to him, a glimmer of hope in your eyes.
âwell i do!â he bellows back, and just like that it dies.
you crumple, heels of your hands coming to press into your eyes as you lower yourself to the floor. you mewl in devastation, salty tears burning into your retinas and he watches in heartbreak, heaving out a long sigh before lowering himself to the floor with you.
âits not fair! its not fairâ just because shes older than me doesnât mean â it doesnât ââ
âi know.â he mutters into your hairline, pressing a kiss there. you clutch his shirt like heâs the only thing keeping you tied down gravitationally to earth.
you get real worked up into hysterics so soon heâs calming you down the only way he knows how, straw-feeding you water as you sit in his bed wearing his clothes, still snivelling. he shuffles in beside you with a book, pulling your head to rest down on his shoulder and shushing you when you fight.
âyou think yâknow everything john b.â you croak, glaring at the dumb pretentious poetry book on his lap.
he clears his throat, flipping to a random page.
âthough the night was made for loving, and the day returns too soon, yet we'll go no more a roving, by the light of the moonââ his husky voice begins to read, lulling you into that calm safe space that only he creates. thereâs a lingering sadness in your chest when you drift off, knowing it could be the last time and between his words youâre sure you whisper a âdont goâ. but youâre not sure whether or not you dreamt it.
you wake up at noon somehow. all that crying wore you out and it goes without saying with the situation youâre in, you didnât have the greatest sleeping pattern. sticky eyes flutter from the alarm clock, to the absence of john b in his own bed beside you. you hope for the reassuring sound of coffee being stirred or the tv in the living room but the chateau is deathly quiet. once your eyes focus, youâre confronted with a note on the bed side table.
his familiar scrawl, it reads â
âIâm sorry. I just have to see for myself.
â Yours, J.B âĄâ

He's My Man (Part 5)
Summary: Russell's taken care of the reader's problem but things take a turn and the happy couple may not be so happy after all...
Masterlist
Pairing: Russell Shaw x reader
Word Count: 6,300ish
Warnings: language, gun shot injury/past drugging/brief mention of attempted assault (not shown) mention, angst, fluff, smut, stalker, murder, self-worth issues
A/N: Thank you all for taking this journey with me with writing this new character! I might return to this world someday but until then, please enjoy the finale!
__________
When you pulled up to the dark house, you noticed Russellâs car had been pulled into the garage and covered with a tarp. You swallowed as you pulled in beside it, biting back bile when Owen parked right behind you, preventing any escape if it came to that. Youâd given Russell nearly thirty minutes notice to prepare. You really hoped whatever he had planned was going to be over with fast.
âFuck,â said Owen, dashing from his car in the downpour to inside the garage. He shook himself off like a dog and pulled off his baseball cap. Youâd seen the gash on his forehead before but from the overhead light, a skull fracture was very visible. The dried blood had matted into his thick hair and, along with the other injuries, made him look half-dead.Â
âWhy donât you go relax inside, honey?â you forced out when you exited, slamming the door shut loudly, hoping Russell picked up on the fact you were here. âIâll get the bags and then Iâll take a look at those cuts.â
âThanks, baby. Donât take too long.â You didnât like how he kept saying that. Heâd hung off of you at the store. Even if he wasnât a raging psycho, personal space was still a thing.
You pretended to fuss about at the trunk as he went in the door from the garage to the house. It was quiet for a beat, your gaze locked on the open door in the corner.
Two quick shots rang out and you hit the cement floor hard. Nothing could be heard over the rain, your heart hammering away in your chest. Russell wouldnât have shot Owen, would he? No, Russell would have snuck up on him, taken him out before he knew what hit him.
So had Owen been shooting? Was Russell hurt? You slowly sat up on your hands and knees, crawling along the side of the car until you reached the hood. You peaked your head around the corner and saw a pair of legs lying on the ground through the open door. It looked like Owen so you carefully rose, flinching when Russell came bounding in from behind you.
He held up his hands, your eyes widening at the blood staining his crisp white tee.Â
âWhat-â
âMy stitches tore,â he said, turning his bicep towards you, the blood staining underneath the bandage. âAre you okay?â
You nodded, glancing back inside to where the body lay motionless. âDid you kill him?â
âNot yet,â said Russell, inching past you towards a work bench. âAlthough he did shoot my fucking front door. Do you have any idea how much a custom mahogany door costs? I might kill him for that alone.â
Russell opened a drawer, taking out duct tape and zip ties. He slammed it shut, pausing with his back to you.
âHeâs not going to leave you alone if I let him live.âÂ
âI know. Heâs been following me for awhile I guess,â you said.Â
âI can frame him for Elpineâs murder if you donât want me to kill him.â You leaned back against your car, Russell setting the items on the bench and joining you. âI donât have toâŠyou know.â
âHow are you going to kill him?â you asked after a moment.
âBag over the head. Heâs passed out. He wouldnât even feel it. Are you sure thatâs what-â You went to his workbench and ripped off a garbage bag from the roll, Russell closing his eyes. âY/N, you should stay out here. Let me do this.â
âOwen started slipping roofies into my drinks when I was fifteen.â His head snapped up as you sighed. âHe drugged me twice but nothing happened because my dad was around. I had to be more careful once dad started to lose it. Owenâs a good decade older than me Iâm sure you noticed. Iâve been scared of this guy for too long. Iâm not asking you to kill him. Iâm asking you to show me how to do this myself.â
âI appreciate how strong you are but Iâm doing it,â he said, taking the bag from you. You dropped your hand, frowning up at him. He sighed, stroking your cheek with his clean hand. âYour soul has enough scars for a lifetime. Donât add more.â
âYou donât have to kill someone for me, Russell. You donât need that on you either. Look what youâve already done.â
âI wonât lose any sleep over him. You can do something for me though.â You sighed, nodding once. âGo back to the store and buy some extra large garbage bags and some duct tape, got it?â
âUm, yeah. Are you-â
âY/N. Weâre on the clock. Weâll talk later,â he said, kissing your temple. âNow go.â
Three Hours Later
âTo be perfectly clear, Iâm doing this for Y/N, not you,â said Colter with a coldness you didnât love. You knew Russellâs relationship with his little brother was strained but youâd thought it had gotten better over the past few days.
âYeah, well it donât take a genius to see you like her better,â said Russell, Colter rolling his eyes, an uncharacteristic move. âIâll never ask you for a thing again. You never even have to speak to me. Think what you want about me. Just please do this for Y/Nâs sake.â
âI alreadyâŠâ huffed Colter when you side eyed him with narrowed eyes. He let out a slow exhale. âFine. You owe me, Russell. Big.â
âColter,â you said, nodding towards his truck. You left Russell as he went back to taping the large cooler in the garage shut. You assumed heâd put Owen inside and cleaned up while you were gone at the store. The rain had paused momentarily but there was another batch of storms coming through soon. You sighed as you stopped next to the younger Shaw, Colter crossing his arms. âIâm not letting you do this. I know Russell asked but I canât let you move a body for me.â
He narrowed his eyes, face turning into a scowl.Â
âIâm not movingâŠRussell!â Russâ head popped up, Colter becoming increasingly annoyed. âTell me what is going on right now or I swear you and me are done. Forever.â
Russell sighed, throwing his head back. âI may have lied about the Y/N wanting to tag along with you so she can tidy up her place in Virginia.â
âYou what?â you asked, storming over to him. âYou were trying to pawn me off on Colter again? For what! Owenâs dead, thereâs no one left to bother me.â
âSweetie,â said Russell, closing his eyes. âOwen should not have made it out alive and the fact he did isnât good.âÂ
Slowly Russell met your gaze, ignoring Colter behind you. âSo is this how itâs going to be? Any time everythingâs not perfect youâre going to drop me on your brothers doorstep at the drop of a hat? News flash, Colter isnât my babysitter. Iâm a grown woman who has seen and handled more crap than you know. I thought you didnât think of me as a damsel.â
âI donât but-â
âBut you donât want me around for the hard stuff. I got the message.âÂ
âY/N, someone else could still be left. They could kill you-â You held up your hand, Colter heading back to his truck to give you some space.
âI think I finally understand how youâre so perfect but alone. You live this life like youâre this happy go lucky guy but itâs a mask. All you actually see is the dark side of it. Of everything. You are more than happy to step into my dark side but you wonât let me see yours? You wouldnât let me kill Owen. You wonât let me help clean it up. Even when itâs because of me. You have to always be the hero. Honestly, thinking about it, itâs been all my shit weâve talked about. All you say is your got a dark past but you havenât shared diddly squat. Is this how itâs going to be Russell? Because frankly, I want more than that. I told you I donât need you to do things for me, I just need you to help me do them.â
Russell swallowed, face going stoic. âMaybe this was a mistake.â
Your heart dropped like a rock into the pit of your stomach, Russellâs jaw clenching. âYou should pack up your stuff here and go with Colter. Go back to Virginia. Youâre probably right. This was just attraction, plain and simple.â
âRussell, thatâs not what I was saying-âÂ
âYeah, it was. Just go. Please. Iâll deal with Owen. Just go back to Virginia and start your life over away from people like us.â With that he brushed past you for Colter, ignoring his repeated calls.Â
âAsshole,â you mumbled as you went inside and shoved the few belongings that werenât in the trunk of your car into a bag. You very purposefully left every pair of underwear, bra and pajamas heâd bought you behind. The cheap sports bra and cotton underwear youâd bought earlier would get you through until you were home.
If thatâs how Russell wanted to end things, fine. You were free of the mafia. Free of guys with fucked up pasts. Your options were limitless.
And thank god Colter was smart enough to not ask about your red rimmed eyes by the time you were on the road.
Five Days Later
You gave Colter a wave from your front step as he drove off down the street. Itâd taken only two days to drive cross country this time. Apparently you drove faster when you were upset. Or you didnât sleep as much. Either way, Colter didnât ask and was happy to get to Virginia where he had a missing accountant to find.
He used your kitchen as a base of operations and you let him crash in the guest room. In exchange, Colter got you hooked up with the basics of reward work. There were some extra perils to the job being a woman but also advantages that Colter didnât have. He went over finding jobs, finding a team, learning how to get access to tools and databases. You didnât have a lot of confidence in going after a full fledged disappearance yet but Colter mentioned it wasnât always people that were what was missing.
By the end of his short stay, you had information overload but were grateful for the chance to start doing something good for once in your life.
Meanwhile, Russell hadnât reached out once. You had to assume heâd disposed of Owen. You werenât sure why you were still waiting for a text or a call. It was pretty clear things were over. Russell was too protective and you werenât going to let another man tell you what to do again.Â
Yet, you knew you were at fault too. Russell had just killed a guy in his house for you and he knew a hell lot more about getting away with a murder than you did. Russell had points for not wanting to involve you. And you had to be an asshole and pressure him for more when there was literally a dead body at your feet.
âIâm an idiot,â you groaned, leaning against the kitchen island with your head lowered. âWhy did I do that?â
The doorbell rang, your head slowly rising. You sighed as you went to it, pulling it open quickly.Â
âDid you forget-â You cut yourself off when you didnât see Colter standing there. No, instead stood Russell in a trim black suit, his hair slicked back and a bouquet of orange and red flowers in his hands. âRuss? What-â
âLet me get this out and then Iâll get out of your life forever if thatâs what you want,â he said. You leaned against the door jam, Russell taking a deep breath. âY/N, I like you. A lot. Too much probably for how long weâve known each other. Everything you said was right. I avoid my problems because itâs a hell of a lot easier to fix someone elseâs in my experience.â
He swallowed, glancing at his feet. âOwen could have hurt you at that store. He could have taken you, shown up at the house and killed you. I fucked up and you donât seem to understand that Owenâs obsession and how fucking smart you are is the only reason weâre still here and heâs not. I told you I took care of it and I didnât. I was angry at myself and wanted you somewhere safer than with me so I pushed your buttons on purpose. I lied on purpose so youâd get mad and leave with Colter. You deserve a good man and Iâm not him. I kill people. I use sex as a way to be close to women but then never let myself be in a relationship because I donât want them to see beneath the surface and see the shit thatâs in there. I want better for you than me.â
Russell looked up, a tiny smile forming on his face. âCan we try being friends again and maybe I can become that man that deserves you along the way?â
âRussell,â you sighed. You stepped forward, cupping his cheeks, green eyes full of caution. âWe can be friends. Iâd like it if we were more than that, though.âÂ
He slowly smiled, his lip ticking up when you stroked his cheek.Â
âIâm sorry for jumping down your throat. You do not have to share your deepest darkest secrets with me, never mind the first day weâre actually together. That was unfair of me. I just want you to know you can share them with me if you want to.âÂ
âIâve killed a lot of people, Y/N,â he said softly. âDozens. Some of them, most of them, I never gave two shits about. No nightmares. No trauma. Thatâs not normal. Itâs been years since Iâve felt all that bad about killing.â
âYou donât need to feel bad about killing monsters,â you said. He closed his eyes and you leaned in, kissing his forehead. âSâthat why you didnât want me to kill Owen?â
âMoral and practical reasons,â he whispered. âI donât kill out of revenge. I donât think I ever have. It always has another purpose. Protect someone, protect a group or the general public from a threat. Some psych told me once thatâs why I donât struggle as much with what Iâve done as some other folks. The way I grew up helped me with that. But I do struggle with it still and youâve struggled enough. You donât need that on you.â
âI understand. Iâm so used to being controlled and told what to doâŠI can never go back to that.â
âYou never will,â he said, opening his eyes. You tilted your head, Russell turned into your touch to match. âIâm sure Iâll fuck things up again. We can be friends if thatâs all you ever want.â
âI donât want to be just friends. So what if we fight? Thatâs what couples do.â You took his hand in yours and the flowers in the other, leading him inside behind you.Â
âI quit my job a few days ago.â You froze, spinning around on your heels. He shrugged, still holding your hand. âI canât change my life without making some changes.â
âYou still want to do that home brew for a career?âÂ
âYeah. Iâd like to give it a shot.â He spotted the stacks of papers on your kitchen table and open computer. âColter offer you a spot on his team?â
âHe did at first but I want to try doing it my way, stop patching up the bad guys and doing something good. He warned me it can be dangerous work though, especially as a woman flying solo.â
âHe makes very good points,â said Russell, thumbing at your lip when you smiled. âWhatâs that look for?â
âMaybe you could be on my team sometimes, show me a few moves from the expert.â You started to walk backwards towards your bedroom, Russellâs eyebrows raising. âIf you want to.â
âIâll show you any kind of moves youâd like, qark.â He held his ground though, stopping you in place. You waited for the but to come, for him to push back on getting back together. Instead, he took the flowers from your hand and went into your kitchen, finding a tall glass and filling it with water. He set the flowers on the island before rejoining you, resting his hands on your hips. âI like the idea of working together as partners.â
âButâŠâ you said, Russell kissing the top of your head.
âBut you are far too kind, my queen of darkness. I was expecting to get told to get lost tonight and I have plans I canât get out of with my friends very shortly.â
âOh,â you said, Russellâs finger tips finding the ends of your hair and playing with a few strands. âIf you have plans, we can meet up another-â
âYou want to know my dark side?â Your eyes flicked to meet his, your head nodding once. âYou canât unknow what kind of man I am once you do. I donât blame you if you change your mind about me.â
âI want to know you. All of you.â He closed his eyes and nodded.
âGo change into something discreet. Dark clothes. Leave your phone home. If at any point you want to leave, say so and I bring you right back here, understand?â You nodded, Russell backing away. âMind if I change in your bathroom?â
âYou can change in the bedroom with me.â He smirked but backed away.
âAnother time. We have an appointment to keep.â
âWhere are we going?â you asked, Russell glancing away.
âDonât be mad but we need to pay Owen a visit.â
Twenty minutes later you quietly followed Russell into what looked like a decommission warehouse that should have been torn down a decade ago. The building was pitch black apart from the single light coming from the end of a hallway. You stuck behind Russell as you entered the room, stopping when you found six different men and a woman inside, most carrying a weapon on their hip or tucked into their jeans from what you could tell.
And smack in the center of the room tied to a chair was Owen very much still alive. AlthoughâŠalive was being generous. He didnât look more injured than when youâd last seen him but his color was off and his eyes were red and puffy. He wasnât even angry when he saw you, justâŠscared.
âHe behave while I was gone?â asked Russell to a man and woman nearby.
âTried bribing Doug and then all of us to let him go,â said the woman. She gave Owen a nasty look before turning gentle as she looked towards Russell. âI think you scared the poor boy, Shaw.â
âOh, whoâs afraid of little old me?â said Russell, giving Owen a smile that didnât reach his eyes. âSo. Owen, my friends. Friends, Owen. Youâre already acquainted with Y/N.â
Owenâs gaze flickered to you when Russell grabbed a chair from the wall and sat it a few feet away from Owen, facing him. Russell sat down slowly, nodding when you moved closer so you could see both their faces.
âWhyâs he still alive?â you asked quietly. Owenâs eyes widened, Russell tsking him.
âOn me, big guy,â said Russell, snapping his fingers, Owen reluctantly looking at him. âYou got some options. Prison. You die very quickly. OrâŠme and my friends can make sure you die very slowly. Your choice.â
âWhy didnât you kill him yet?â you asked again. Russell sighed, glancing down. âRussell.â
âThere were some things that never sat right with me that I wanted answers to. The stuff with your familyâs accident and your dadâs paranoia, him attacking you. I had a paranoid father too. I know the signs, know that they want to protect us in their own way. The coincidence of meeting someone just like me was too high so I started to dig. You mentioned Owenâs drugged you a few times in the past and tried to hurt you.â
âYeahâŠIâm not following,â you said. Russell stood slowly, staring down Owen like a predator with itâs prey firmly caught in a trap.
âI figured if he drugged you, who else had he slipped something to? What good man, good doctor, could a prescription drug running family slip into his drinks? The more I researched, the more my friends helped, the more we found.â Russell clenched his fists by his side, knuckles turning white. âShould I tell her Owen? Or do you have the balls to tell her yourself?â
Russell ripped off the tape over his mouth, Owen wincing as he breathed deeply. Russell was on him like that, grabbing his throat, not squeezing but adding enough pressure that it was going to be uncomfortable. âI told you to talk, you sack of shit.â
âY/N, this guys is lying. I never did anything to you!â Russellâs jaw clenched and you watched him squeeze, only backing off when you laid a gentle hand on Russellâs shoulder.Â
âHeâs psycho!â said Owen, Russell backing up a step. You looked up to him, Russellâs face unreadable. âY/N, baby-â
âShut the fuck up before I stab you in your spine,â you said. Owenâs jaw snapped shut, a flicker of something in Russellâs eyes. Pride? Amusement? It quickly flittered away, replaced with worry when you held out a hand. âCan I have your knife?â
Russell slowly took it out of his pocket, handing the engraved handle out to you. You flicked it open and took a seat in the chair, holding it pointed down at the concrete floor.
âOwen. Tell me the truth and I wonât kill you. I swear. But I can get the answers from you if you donât cooperate. Donât make me get my boyfriendâs knife bloody.â
You heard a muttered damn from someone behind you, your focus on Owen. He sagged in his seat and closed his eyes.
âOur old fixer wanted out, wanted to go to the feds so my dad had him killed. I was eighteen and he told me to start earning my place as successor. He told me to find a new fixer. Your dad was one of the best doctors in the city. Things wereâŠarranged. Two weeks later we-âÂ
Russell smacked the back of his head. Hard. Owen grunted, shaking it out.
âTwo weeks later IâŠput a hit on your family. Your mom and brother specifically. We only needed one kid to survive and I thought a girl would be easier to control. I started drugging your father that night with antipsychotics to create paranoia,â said Owen, his head hanging low. âI orchestrated the whole thing. We fed him the drugs for years, it made him stay close if not a little extreme. It kept taking more though.â
âDo. Not. Skip. Ahead,â growled Russell, grabbing a fistful of Owenâs shirt.
âO-okay. I-IâŠI started thinking about how to get your dad to stick around once you grew up and you were pretty and smart and I thought youâd be happy with me.â
âHow old was she when you decided this?â barked Russell. Owen whimpered, trying to curl in on himself. âFifteen you disgusting waste of space.â
âYou started drugging me then,â you said. Owen shook his head.
âNot with that stuff. Just roofies. But not enough for you to be completely out of it. Your dad started keeping a closer eye on you and I tried waiting for you to come around on your own but it was so hard when you went away to college. I knew I couldnât let you run off like that again soâŠâ Owenâs shoulders shook, mouth snapping shut.
âSo you roofied her, attacked her and she fought back. Her father protected her and you fucking killed him for it. Your dear old daddy found what youâd done and wasnât happy, was he? He covered up your murder and blamed her father knowing Y/N wouldnât remember a thing. Y/N was forced to go to med school and learn crap she didnât want to all while daddy had you banished away from her. You tried to keep tabs on her but it wasnât until dad died that you could finally take Y/N like you wanted. Itâs pure fucking luck I showed up when I did to make sure that didnât happen. Would you like to tell Y/N about the fucking padded door locks and bars on the window in her old room back at the house? About your plans for her?â
Russell grabbed Owenâs hair, forcing his head up. Owen was trembling, whispering apologies and saying how he didnât mean it, over and over.
âSoâŠyou killed my familyâŠand tried to assault me more than once over the yearsâŠand were planning on keeping me as aâŠpet in the house until I magically fell in love with you. I think that sums it up,â you said. You stood up, handing Russell his knife. âIâm not going to kill him.â
âThank you,â sighed Owen in relief. âThank you. I-I knew youâd be able to forgive me-â
âOh, I donât forgive you and I wouldnât be thanking me,â you said, smiling up at Russell. ââPapa Elpine and a few guys made it out I heard. Bobby was his favorite son, right?â
âY/N! I killed Bobby! Theyâll-â Russell shoved some tape over his mouth and hummed.
You crossed your arms, Russell tilting his head at you. âYou know theyâre going to torture Owen to death.â
âI said I wouldnât hurt him and Iâm keeping my word,â you said, Owen shouting under the tape. âIâd tell you to confess but Elpineâs connected. Heâd just have you killed in prison. So. Elpine it is.â
âYou sure?â asked Russell. You pursed your lips, Owen pleading with his eyes. Everything in you wanted to say yes, let him get what he had coming.Â
So why couldnât you say it?Â
You looked to Russell, nodding. âGet rid of him, please,â you mouthed.
âLook away,â said Russell. You turned around, Owen panting hard before there was a loud crack and the room was still. Russellâs hand found your shoulder, rubbing it softly. âWe took care of Elpineâs guys. You know that.â
âI just wanted him to be as scared as Iâve been. I-I justâŠwhyâd it have to be my family?â You found his face, Russell smiling sadly.
âIâve asked myself that question a lot over the years. Best I came up with is you got to try and let it go. The worldâs good and bad and thatâs all there is to it.â He wrapped his arm over your shoulder, walking you towards the door. You nearly looked back but he blocked you with his body. âNo. Heâs gone for good, you donât need to give him anything more. Iâm sorry for not killing him back in Washington. I just thought you deserved the truth. Your dad was a good man.â
âThank you,â you said, closing your eyes. âI wish I realized that sooner.â
âCome on,â he said, walking you out to the hallway. âLetâs get you home.â
One Month Later
You smiled from your chair when Russell let out a single tiny snore from the couch across from you. He hadnât gotten much sleep the past few days and honestly, it was kind of adorable the way this incredibly dangerous man made the cutest cooing noises while he slept.
âYouâre staring at me,â he mumbled without opening his eyes a few minutes later. You looked around, holding up a finger. âI can feel you watching, like a creeper.â
âWell, you make these cute sounds when you sleep,â you said. He smirked, slowly flicking his lazy eyes open.
âAnd whoâs fault is it that I havenât been sleeping, hm?â You shrugged and slid down in your chair with your book, grinning behind the pages. âI can see that smile, you know that?â
âDonât blame me for the amazing orgasms you give,â you said, flicking your eyes over the top of the book, Russell propping himself up on his elbows with a predatory gaze. âDown boy. Later.â
âYou better,â he said, plopping back with a huff. âRemind me to never help Frank with a favor ever again.â
âFrank helped you with Owen,â you reminded him. Russell scoffed.
âAll he did with Owen was stand there and look scary. I didnât make him build a fucking deck in the pacific northwest in forty degree weather.â
âAw, is baby boy cranky?â you teased. He growled, playfully tossing his pillow at you. âYou guys should wrap up tomorrow, right?â
âThatâs the plan. Then Iâm going back to waking up at a humane hour,â he said, forcing himself to sit up and stretch out with a few grunts. âHow long was I out?â
âAbout an hour and a half. You needed it,â you said, flipping a page. Russell glanced over to the dining table, taking in the decorated spread.Â
âYou set a place for Colter?â he asked.Â
âYesâŠright next to Doryâs,â you said, closing your book and setting it aside. âYou still think he wonât come?â
âHeâs not the kind of guy to come to a housewarming party. Especially his brotherâs housewarming party. We still havenât talked sinceâŠâÂ
âI know,â you said, standing and pulling him to his feet. He was still sleepy as you ruffled his hair, Russell turning into the touch. âIâm excited to meet your friends and family properly.â
âThey want to know all about you, thatâs for sure,â he chuckled. âYou canât imagine the amount of shit theyâve given me after I said Iâd never settle down.â
âI moved in a week ago. Weâre a ways from settling down,â you said. He titled his head, smiling at you. âDonât give me that face.â
âWhat face?â he teased, leaning in close, dipping his head, kissing under your jaw.
âShaw! Do not give me a hickey! I do not want them seeing-â You sucked in a breath, brain going fuzzy when he nipped at the soft flesh.Â
âToo bad, qark. If I have to have hickeys all over my neck then so do you,â he said, suckling the skin. A buzzer went off in the kitchen and he groaned when you slipped away so the rolls wouldnât burn. âY/NâŠâ
âSaved by the bell,â you said, taking out the pan and leaving them to cool off. Russell was by your side quickly, hands on your hips so you couldnât escape. âOkay. How about you can give me as many hickeys as you want later if youâre a good boy this afternoon?â
âHm, I do like being your good boy,â he said, squeezing your hips. âDeal.â
âGood. Where do you keep-â
The doorbell trilled, your heads turning towards the front windows. A familiar pickup truck was out front, Russell raising his eyebrows. You nodded for the door, Russell cautious as he answered. Colter stood on the front porch with an awkward forced smile and a pink box.
âI uh, picked up some dessert for dinner later,â he said offering the box. Russell took it, setting it aside on the front table. âYou going to invite me in?â
âI thought youâŠâ Russell shook his head and opened the door wider, letting his younger brother inside. Colter gave you a brief smile before clearing his throat.
âI uh, can help you get ready or cook. I justâŠlast time we talked RussellâŠâ
You smiled to yourself when Russell closed the gap between them, giving Colter a strong embrace. âLet's leave that shit behind us. Thanks for coming, Colt.â
âYeah,â said Colter, returning it for a moment before the boys broke apart. âHowâs the girlfriend situation working out for you?â
âIâm telling you man, find the right girl, youâll never want to go back to being a loner,â said Russell, giving you a smirk. âThey do come with a lot of rules though, fair warning.â
âI asked you to put the toilet seat down, Shaw,â you chided.Â
âLike I said, rules,â teased Russell. You picked up a knife by your cutting board, narrowing your eyes. âWe should help before she starts using that on us.â
âYes you should,â you said, Colter shrugging out of his jacket and boots, joining your side after washing up. âCan you cut up the veggies into strips?â
âCan do,â he said, swapping places with you. You smiled when Russell took the dessert box and started to arrange the treats on a platter over on the dinning table. âIâd like to apologize for my behavior the last time we were all here.â
You frowned as you peeled a bag of potatoes into a bowl. âYou mean when I lost my cool on Russell? You have nothing to apologize for Colter. We were asking you for a favor. Again. Iâm honestly surprised you donât hate me. I know you value your alone time.â
Colter was quiet, chopping neatly and pushing the scraps into a discard bowl. âDid Russell ever tell you how he got that gunshot he went to you for in the first place?â
âSomeone kidnapped Doug. He went to save him.â
âDid you know I helped him with that?â You shook your head, setting the peeler down. Colter had stopped dicing, a barely there smile crossing his face. âIf it werenât for my brother asking for my help with his friends, Iâm not sure we ever would have spoke again.â
âI know thereâs a complicated history there.â He hummed, watching Russell across the room. âIt means a lot to him that youâre trying too.â
âSâall we can do is try, right?â he said, going back to his cutting. âSo. My brother is clearly head over heels. What about you? Should I expect a wedding invitation soon?â
âUh, no,â you said, laughing to yourself. âWeâre certainly not traditional but weâre nowhere near ready for that. Weâll see how living together goes for awhile before we talk about anything like long term plans.â
âYet you moved in already.â You rolled your eyes. âJust an observation.â
âFor convenience sake. Russ is looking into land for the brewery around here since he left his job and apartments in town are limited.â
âRight. Iâm sure thatâs it. Silly me,â he said. You held up your peeler to him, Colter raising his hands. âRuss, I think I broke one of your girlfriendâs rules.â
âIt was nice knowing ya,â said Russell with a chuckle. âGive him a swift death for me, qark.â
âQark?â asked Colter as you turned your attention to the potatoes.Â
âQueen of darkness. Now hurry up with those so you and Russ can have some alone time before dinner.â
Six Hours Later
âThis is going well,â said Russell to you in the kitchen as laughed and a smoky scent filtered in from the back porch. âEveryone really likes you.â
âI suppose I have met them all before, except for Dory. Sheâs such a sweetheart. I donât know what I was expecting but-â
âShe was much younger than us when our dad died. After she went to live with our aunt and uncle. Sheâs tough but normal in a way Colter and I wonât everâŠâ You rubbed his back, his strong arm wrapping around your waist to keep you close. âDid you like, drug him? Or bribe him? I seriously canât believe heâs still here let alone came.â
âOf course he came. No matter whatâs happened in the past, he loves his big brother.â Russell tucked you into his side, smiling when you rested your head on his shoulder. âI found a job in Wyoming. Missing prized show dog. I was going to head out in the morning, see if Iâm any good at this.â
âYouâll be wonderful,â he said, kissing the top of your head. âBe safe though.â
âI will be.â You turned in his hold to face him, wrapping your arms around his back in a hug. âItâs been a long time since anyone cared if I was safe. Itâs nice. This weird little family you have isâŠIâm jealous to be honest.â
âYou shouldnât be. Itâs yours too.â You raised your eyebrows, Russell raising his own, eyes going wide. âNo! No, I donât mean like, officially yours. Like metaphorically. Iâm not ready for anything official. Someday but so not right now.â
âMe either,â you said, the tension running out of his face. âI want to know who we are without our old jobs, how to be a happy queen of darkness.â
âWeâll figure it out together,â he said. âSpeaking of which, I got you a present for helping organize all of this and cooking for ten people after literally just moving cross country. I know it was stressful so I wanted to make it up to you.â
âI donât need a present, Russ,â you said, a sneaky smile forming on his face. âOh. This is a present for the both of us.â
âI got you a new pair of jammies, the lilac set this time,â he said. Russellâs smile grew as yours did, his arms lifting you off the ground, bringing you to eye level. âYou deserve all the good things in life, qark.â
âI think we got something pretty good starting right here,â you said, kissing him once, Russell humming.
âI couldnât agree more, baby. Couldnât agree more.â

This large 1870 home in Altamont, NY has something that I think is unique and very special and that's why I'm posting it. The house has 4bds, 4ba, and is listed for $469,900.
The historic home has a modernized flair. The stone fireplace looks original, but the structure off to the side must have some significance, although I don't know what it is.
I think that this is the dining room. It's sometimes difficult to figure out empty rooms, but this one has wainscoting, an original closet and a chandelier. So, it looks like a dining room.
The kitchen is eat-in, with plenty of room. Notice that the the kitchen has a Japanese style flair.
The kitchen could use a little tweaking. It has radiant floor heat, though.
I would say that this is a bedroom. According to the description, the floors are all original. They look so new.
All 4 of the baths have been remodeled. This one has a large shower, and I like the interesting floating sink.
There's a bench in the shower so you can sit and watch TV. The baths also all have radiant floor heat, so it's toasty warm.
This is a large home, but the bedrooms are tiny.
This bath is a pretty green.
It has a very different theme- Fern wallpaper and doves on the ceiling.
And, this is what I consider a special feature- an authentic Japanese tea room. Isn't this serene? You can sit on the floor mats and take tea at the special low table, just like in a real tea room.
This pretty bath has koi fish wallpaper and a cool black tub.
The property has a natural waterfall running into a small stream.
The cute custom shed has a cupola and looks like a little red schoolhouse.
The property measures 37.90 acres and can also be subdivided.
The garage on the left has a heated workshop.
It looks like this is a roof-top deck.

The Backseat of My Car- Casey Novak x Alex Cabot
soooo, a little Friday morning smutty treat for my loves. â€ïž I was told part 2 of This is My Office was needed and since it'll be a while before I even get to this chapter, here's a present đ consider it a peace offering that it may take me a few days for Chapter 7 đ
(also if someone could teach my goofy ass how to format so that things indent properly, I'll love you forever!)
"Don't beat yourself up, that was a tough case." Casey consoled her girlfriend as they walked through the parking garage, "you know there's always the possibility that a juror will be sympathetic towards one of these crackpots."
Alex was seething mad, "Langan's just lucky I don't feel like spending the rest of my life in jail or I'd have him strung up by his testicles!"
The redhead's lip curled in disgust. She stopped walking and grabbed Alex's hand. "Babe I would really rather not think about you anywhere near that man's testicles, or any man's testicles for that matter.
"Sorry," the blonde frowned, "he just makes me so mad I could spit. I can't believe I ever went on a date with that man." She went to start walking again.
The younger ADA stopped again and pulled Alex back towards her, "Okay, what? I don't know what's worse, you, talking about his nuts or the fact that you went out with him.
Alex chuckled, "It was one date, we never made it passed the bar. I really just needed info on a case."
Casey smirked, "Ah yeah because that makes it better." She giggled and pulled her closer, "Just remember who you belong to, Alexandra Cabot."
"How could I ever forget," the Bureau Chief leaned in and kissed her girlfriend.
The redhead rested her free hand against the blonde's thigh. Her eyes lit up when she realized she was still strapped from earlier. "Babe? Your windows are tinted right?"
"Darker than they should be actually, I have to put the DA placard in the window just to avoid getting ticketed. Why?" Casey shot her a look that could only be construed as mischievous.
"Oh. OH. Backseat." Alex said excitedly.
Both women slid into the backseat of the BMW and Casey closed the door behind them. She wasted no time tossing the blue eyed beauty's glasses into the front seat and grabbing her around the neck, pulling her in to a messy, heated kiss.
Alex chuckled as she started unbuttoning her shirt.
"What's so funny?" the redhead mused, laughing if only because Alex was.
"I feel like a teenager." This was the most relaxed the Bureau Chief had been in as long as she could remember, being with Casey felt-- effortless. "In a good way that is" she said reassuringly.
"Oh yeah? Is this what Alexandra Cabot was like in high school? Riding in cars with boys?" Her girlfriend said teasingly. "I don't know about this then, I like mature, collected, no nonsense ADA Alex Cabot Bureau Chief extraordinaire."
The blonde grabbed Casey by her collar. "The only person who's going to be riding anything is you riding me in a minute and don't worry dear, I know what it is you like." She whispered as she kissed the redhead with force, she was starving for something only Casey could satiate.
"Fuck," Casey sighed. "Alex do you have to be so damn sexy constantly."
"Do you want me to stop?" She smirked as she ruined the second one of Casey's shirts today, buttons scattering to the cars floor mats.
The younger ADAs breath hitched, âNo. Donât. Stop.â She whispered playfully pausing between words as she pulled open Alex's belt and fly. She bit her lip hard, "mmm I want to try something okay? But don't think I'm weird."
Alex's blue eyes look into her hazel green ones with curiosity. "Baby if I ever thought you were weird, ever, in the time I've known you, I meant it as the highest compliment." She leaned back against the car door.
Casey put her hand against the blondes open fly and exposed the strap she was still wearing from their earlier encounter. The ginger sat up for a minute and pulled her hair back and tied it there with a ponytail holder she had around her wrist. She leaned back down and brought the strap into her mouth and began to suck.
The golden haired adonis' eyes grew wide. "Baby that's not weird, that's hot." She whimpered as she brought her hand to the back of her lover's head pushed down lightly while she ran her other hand through her own hair. The ADA never breaking eye contact as she went to town on the toy, running her tongue up to the tip, and then taking the whole thing into her mouth.
After a minute or two she sat back up, licking her lips, and grabbed Alex by the hips pulling her flat on the backseat. "So,â the redhead blushed, âyou liked that?"
"Very much so," the blonde said panting.
"Mmm, good to know." Her devilish grin plastered across her face. With a little maneuvering and a few giggles, she was able to shimmy her way out of her suit pants and on top of her girlfriend. She steadied her balance and brought herself down on top of the strap letting out a small moan, her body shuddered as she leaned down to kiss Alex. The angle making the toy hit her just right as the blonde slowly pushed her hips up, both women groaning softly.
"Fuck that feels good." Casey mewled beginning to roll her hips against Alex.
"I bet it does," the blonde cooed thrusting her hips up slow and deliberate. Copying her lover's expression as her lips parted and she let out a soft gasp of pleasure.
The redhead pushed back against the toy holding one hand to Alex's chest and the other to the window behind her head. "Alex," she whimpered, her body craving more, "I can't take much more teasing."
âIs that so? You sure you donât want it nice and slow,â She thrust her hips slowly, holding Casey by her waist and guiding her up and down against her body, fucking her at a torturously slow pace, continuing to mimic her facial expressions has her mouth fell open and tiny gasps and moans emanated from her throat.
âAlex,â the redhead whispered, âFuck, Alex.â
âWell obviously if you can remember my name, I havenât tortured you nearly enough.â The blonde smirked. Casey brought her hand to her own clit, but Alex stopped her, âAh, no cheating baby.â
The redhead whined. She started pushing herself down harder against her girlfriend, âAlex I want you to ruin me.â She moaned as she ground her hips down.
The blue eyed beautyâs pupils dilated as she took tight hold of Caseyâs hips and began thrusting. She picked up her pace a little at a time until she was slamming into Casey, who was rolling her hips, leaning over Alex whimpering in her ear.
âMmm baby, like that,â she nibbled on the blondeâs ear, causing her to sigh, âOh Alex, Alex. Mmm, I love the way you fill me up.â She whispered with a smirk, knowing if her hot breath kept hitting her face as she did, that Alex would cum for her before she even finished.
The Bureau Chief slammed into Casey holding her hips down tight to hers and rolling them towards her. Casey cried out as Alex did this a few more times, smacking the redheads ass each time and then grabbing a fistful of supple skin and holding on.
The redhead was getting louder, âAhh, Alex, fuck me! Just like that, donât stop. Donât stop baby.â
Alex spurred on by Caseyâs cries also started moaning loudly. âThatâs it baby, scream for me.â The blonde loved when Casey got loud and all the little noises she could get her to make as she fucked all the right spots. Alex felt her insides flutter as Casey hit a note that she was fairly sure only dogs could hear as her juices came spilling out around the toy and onto Alex again. As they both climaxed the redhead collapsed against her girlfriend leaning up just enough to stare into her crystal blue eyes. The blonde went to sit up.
âNot yet,â the ADA whimpered, âstay inside a bit longer?â Alex obliged and began stroking her girlfriends back.
âYou okay darling?â she asked, checking in.
Casey nodded, âMore than okay. Just trying to come back down.â Her body shook as she had another small aftershock.
âIâve got you baby, Iâve got you.â Alex whispered bring her into a yielding, tender kiss.
They hadnât been kissing exceedingly long when there was a knock on the window. The women looked at each other, frozen in fear, âCops?â Casey mouthed.
âNo, this lot is run by CCTVâ Alex whispered, âwho wouldâve called it in?â
There was another knock, this time slower, more annoyed.
Casey went to press the window down much to Alexâs protest, only to find Liz looking back at her.
The Judges face was more stern than either of them had ever seen on her worst day. Alex jerked her head around, still inside Casey, both of them half naked, Caseyâs shirt completely undone.
âAre you fucking kidding me?â Liz said through gritted teeth. âWhat the fuck is wrong with the two of you?â She put her hand up in protest, âDonât answer that. And Casey donât get up lest I see more of you than I want to.â
Alex tried to protest and say something, but Donnelly stopped her before she could even get a single syllable out. âAlexandra, I donât want to hear it. What is this? Some sort of midlife crisis? Can you not fuck at home? What are you afraid the cat is watching?â
âJudge Donnelly, weâreâ Casey tried to apologize.
âNot another word Novak, youâre lucky this lot is not owned by the city. For Godâs sake you both work SVU, you know how bad an indecent exposure charge can get! Have you both stopped taking your medication?â
âLiz why does it sound like youâre scolding teenagers?â
âLena, Iâ but before Liz could say anymore Judge Petrovsky had already approached the car window, Alex and Casey staring at her from a very compromising position.
âIt would seem itâs because apparently you are. Ah, Ms. Novak it appears that your reoccurring nightmare has finally come true. Charming. Ms. Cabot, make sure you put some concealer on all of that before you get to my courtroom in the morning. Iâm late for poker. Goodnight Elizabeth.â She put a hand on Donnellyâs arm and walked off towards the street.
Liz looked at the two ADAs in disbelief, âI am washing my hands of the both of you. Please fuck each otherâs brains out, before you get to work tomorrow? For everyone in the buildingâs sake?â With the click of her heel, she walked off towards her car hidden away in the far corner of the parking lot.
Casey side, âAnd she wonders why those kids said she had a broom up her butt.â She rolled up the car window, and gently removed Alex from inside her, trying to maneuver enough to get her pants back on.
Alex furrowed her brow, âWait, what?â
âElliot tells it better.â
âElliot?â the blonde didnât think she could be more confused, but here she was, for the second time today, covered in Casey, just having been yelled at by Judge Donnelly, how did they get to Elliot?
They both climbed into the front seat and Alex put her glasses back on and the key in the ignition.
âDid that,â Alex started, âDid that really just happen?â she chuckled even though her hands were shaking.
âI guess we need to be more discreet at work,â Casey grimaced.
âI donât take it back, I would take a thousand censures to here you say my name like that.â Alex said, lust dripping from her words, âI just need to stop leaving the office door unlocked or answering window knocks unless they identify themselves as the police.â
Casey raised a finger.
âPolice who are not Elliot.â
Casey raised her finger again.
âOr Olivia.â
âThere it is.â The redhead nodded.
