YKL-37R Nova Couriers were a type of personal transport manufactured by Gallofree Yards Inc. As their basic, unarmored medium transports failed in the market, Gallofree developed the Nova Courier as a flexible light freighter in a similar vein to the Corellian YT-series. Even still, desperate Gallofree sold most  of their transports and Nova Couriers to the Rebellion, whose pilots loved the freighter. They were easily upgraded and came equipped with a healthy armament.

Flying Pt. 2

Blue Squadron came out of hyperspace in the Gallofree system. "Listen up, boys. The Empire has been transporting Kyber crystals from planet to planet recently, and Alliance command doesn't like that. Those crystals can be easily weaponized, so the Empire could be doing something dangerous", General Merrick briefed the pilots. Ezra pondered his words and asked, "So why are we here?" Merrick answered, "Our assignment is to destroy the convoy carrying the crystals, Blue Nine. According to our intel, it'll be stopping at that orbital refueling station in about ten minutes." Wedge and Hobbie were talking about the way the X-Wings handled. "This thing flys like a dream", the former said to the latter. Ezra interrupted them, "Would you two cut the chatter? The real test is how they handle in a fight." They all heard Mary's voice over the comm. "Uh....guys, a Star Destroyer hit came out of hyperspace." Ezra doubted his words at first, after all, this was Mart. He thought everything was a Star Destroyer. The young Jedi was shocked to see it actually was a Destroyer. "Blue Squadron, we've been tricked!! TIE's incoming!!!", Merrick yelled. On the bridge of the Destroyer, Captain Needa looked out into space as his fighters engaged the rebels. "Jam their communications so they can't call for help."

Just Pinned to Star Wars Starships (Canon & Concepts): GAR Gallofree Gunship. Gallofree Gunship If Correlian design was premium, Gallofree was the poor man's shipyard. An ideal supplier of budget transports for a state with little regard for troops' lives. The "Republic Gunship" is a staple of 2002-onward star wars media, but boy it is stupid looking, and not in a functional, utilitarian way.
