Inconsiderate snipe / agachona desconsiderada (Gallinago incogitans).

No, sorry, I made a lot of that up because I was miffed that he wouldn't come out for a better shot. It's really a Wilson's snipe, it's called agachona norteamericana in Spanish, and its species name is really G. delicata.

At Sweetwater Wetlands Park in Tucson, Arizona.

"Often overlooked in migration and winter, the snipe is a solitary creature of wet fields and bogs, seldom seen on open mudflats. Flushed from the marsh, it darts away in zigzag flight, uttering harsh notes. The Wilson's Snipe becomes more flamboyant in the breeding season, when it often yammers from atop a fencepost or dead tree. At night on the nesting grounds, the ghostly winnowing flight sound of the males often echoes across the marshes."

Wilson's Snipe (via USFWS Mountain-Prairie)

Wilson's snipe is a small, stocky shorebird. The genus name gallinago is New Latin for a woodcock or snipe from Latin gallina, "hen" and the suffix -ago, "resembling". The specific delicata is Latin for "dainty".
