~Galleryyuhself~ If you want to see TTFF online as most of us do, JumpTT has provided a smart way to get its point across. It tells us how to use its service for something that we want to watch, using bright yellow and sans serif typography the message is strong and attractive and most of all, memorable because they answer your question right away.
Premiering today folks. Check it out. Big Respect to the JumpTT crew and all the participants who shared their stories with such courage and pride and most of all big love and respect @sharipettiii master filmmaker for capturing this story so beautifully.

~Galleryyuhself~ I posted this earlier and decided NOT to comment on it as it is problematic and obviously so. Instead I shall put up an opinion by someone I know on Facebook and their response to the KFC advertisement instead. Free speech may not be as free as we think. Emancipate yourself from mental slavery
              .................................................................................
A week or so ago, BLACK vs BLANK was considered "racist." Shocking - yes,  Insensitive - yes, unnecessary - absolutely! Racist? I didn't see it and as such, I chose not to comment on the matter. There was a big uproar about that leader and her 'goons' being racist and disrespectful. Today on Emancipation Day, a company chose to feature their product in the forefront and place a black clenched fist in the background as a shadow.
The clenched fist is widely known as a symbol of protest and solidarity. The correlation between a drumstick and solidarity completely missed me and countless others and it was deemed offensive and tone deaf, trivialising the meaning behind the symbol. Let me say this: Just as I said in a video a few weeks ago regarding Black Lives Matters protests, "LET PEOPLE EXPRESS THEMSELVES HOW THEY FEEL FIT."
Caribbean people saw this global movement from an unfortunate and unjustifiable incident to speak up on matters of colourism, racism, nepotism, police brutality, sexism, classim etc and it was great to see some persons finally felt the courage to speak up on matters that have affected THEM on a personal level. This toxic culture of the "whataboutisms" and "allyuh want to get offended for everything" NEEDS  TO  STOP, We are not homogenous products being manufactured and spat out on a conveyor belt. We are unique individuals with feelings, different upbringings and have different perspectives, opinions and THAT'S OKAY If some people get offended or a bad vibe off of an ad, it doesn’t make them stupid, bad or petty. It makes them HUMAN and an INDIVIDUAL with feelings.
Not once did I go on anyone's wall who were offended by black vs blank to justify anything! I let PEOPLE BE! I let people be upset and express themselves. But it seems some of y'all get joy from opposing people and arguing. Some of y'all have turned social media into a toxic space because you want to go down fighting someone for their opinion because you are not affected, without trying to empathize or listen to the person. Hence why I took a break for one month and didn't miss it. Meanwhile corrupt politicians, businessmen jumping up happy like pappy with OUR taxpayers money for unfinished projects, misappropriation of funds and continue getting away with impunity while we fight about who thief more? And that was "back then."
What do we leave for our children if we can't have meaningful conversations and dialogues without jumping to attack and fight? There’s no need to be cruel or critical of someone because you don’t “get their point". You don’t HAVE to “get” it! Just respect their entitlement to have one!!With that being said, HAPPY EMANCIPATION TO ONE AND ALL! I've decided to post some of the ads I thought shared beautiful messages without being tone deaf.
