During Ganesh Chaturthi Puja, Lord Ganesha is worshipped with twenty one sacred Patra or leaves. It is believed that worshipping Lord Ganesha with his favorite leaves pleases Him. A pleased Ganesha bestows strength, long life, wisdom, wealth and prosperity upon His devotees. Hence 21 Patra Puja has become integral part of Ganesh Puja. All twenty-one leaves are associated with twenty-one unique names of Lord Ganesha. Each leave is offered while chanting a unique name Mantra of Lord Ganesha. Hence, twenty one Patra Puja is also known as Eka-Vinshati Name Puja (एक विंशति नाम पूजन). 21 Ganesha Patra lists all twenty ones leaves used in Ganesha Puja along with their local and botanical names. Brahma Vaivarta Purana prohibits Tulasi leaves (basil leaves) for Ganesh Puja. According to it, Tulasi leaves should not be offered to Lord Ganesha. Any person, who remembers these twelve names of Ganesha, three times in a day, will have all their obstacles and fear removed and will attain success. (This group of verses is said to be sage Narada's offering to Lord Ganesh.)

प्रणम्य शिरसा देवं गौरीपुत्रं विनायकम् ।
भक्तावासं स्मरेन्नित्यमायुः कामार्थसिद्धये
O aprendiz que desejar por mais vida, saúde e amor deve saudar, com humildade, ao Senhor Ganapati, filho de Parvati.
प्रथमं वक्रतुडं च एकदन्तं द्वितीयकम् ।
तृतीयं कृष्णपिंगाक्षं गजवक्त्रं चतुर्थकम्
Saúde-o primeiro como o Deus com uma presa quebrada (Vakratundam), segundamente como o Senhor de uma só presa (Ekadantam). Terceiramente, como o Que Possui Olhos Vermelho-Escuro e de Fumaça (Krushna Pingaksha), e como o que possui a face de elefante (Gajavaktram), em quarto.
लम्बोदरं पंचमं च षष्ठ विकटमेव च ।
सप्तमं विघ्नराजेन्द्रं धूम्रवर्णं तथाष्टमम्
Em quinto lugar, saúde-o como aquele que possui uma grande barriga (Panchamam), sexto como aquele que é cruel com seus inimigos (Vikatamev). Em sétimo, como Removedor de Todos os Obstáculos (Vignarajam) e em oitavo como Aquele que Tem Cor de Fumaça (Dhumravarnam).
नवमं भालचन्द्रं च दशमं तु विनायकम् ।
एकादशं गणपतिं द्वादशं तु गजाननम्
Em nono, como Aquele que Possui o Crescente em sua Testa, e em décimo como o Líder Vinayaka (Vinayakam). Em décimo primeiro, como Líder das Gana (Ganapatim) e em décimo segundo como o Que Possui a Face de Elefante (Gajananam).
द्वादशैतानि नामानि त्रिसन्ध्यं यः पठेन्नरः ।
न च विध्नभयं तस्य सर्वसिद्धिकरं परम्
Aquele que ler estes doze nomes ao amanhecer, ao meio dia e ao anoitecer, nunca temerá a perda e sempre alcançará o que deseja.
विद्यार्थी लभते विद्यां धनार्थी लभते धनम् ।
पुत्रार्थी लभते पुत्रान्मोक्षार्थी लभते गति
जपेग्दणपतिस्तोत्रं षड् भिर्मासैः फ़लं लभेत् ।
संवत्सरेण सिद्धिं च लभते नात्र संशयः
अष्टभ्यो ब्राह्मणेभ्यश्च लिखित्वा यः समर्पयेत् ।
तस्य विद्या भवेत् सर्वा गणेशस्य प्रसादतः
इति श्री नारदपुराणे संकटनाशनम गणेश स्तोत्रम सम्पूर्णम

Sankata Nashana Ganesha Stotram: Chant to remove all problems of life
Let's understand a little about the "stotra". 'Stotra' means eulogy of God, in other words, praise of God. By reciting the hymns, a protective shield is created on all sides of a person at the subtle level and he is protected from negative energies. At the time when a stotra is recited in the prescribed tone, then a specific conscious energy is created from that stotra. Therefore it is necessary to say the stotra in a specific rhythm. Everyone is familiar with the two stotras of Shri Ganesha. One of them is Sankata Nashana Ganesha Stotram. This stotra is very simple and effective for daily reading. Devarshi Narada has composed this stotra. In this, twelve names of Shri Ganesh have been remembered. By reciting this stotra in the morning, midday and evening, all the wishes are fulfilled. With such a method, you can also get the desired results from the proper pronunciation and passionate recitation of Sankata Nashana Ganesha Stotram', that is the prayer at the feet of Shri Ganesh ji. One of the most effective prayers for Lord Ganesha is Shri Ganesh Stotram or Sankata Nashana Ganesha Stotram. Ganesha Stotram is taken from the Narada Purana. It eliminate all kinds of problems. Everyday singing this powerful stotra of lord Ganesha frees one from all obstacles and destroys all misery. In Hindi, Sankat means problems and Nashanam means destruction forever. So by singing this Stotram you can solve your problem forever. In Sankata Nashana Ganesha Stotram, the sage Narada describes the greatness of Lord Ganesha. The sage Narada said that everyone should bow their heads and worship the Divine Ganesha and ask for a long life and eliminate all problems. The various names of Lord Ganesha should be mentioned, including Vakratund, Ekdant, Krishna Pingaksh, Gajvakra, Lambodar, Chata Vikat, Vighna Rajendra, Dhumravarna, Bhalchandra, Vinayak, Ganpati etc. These twelve names must be worshiped three times a day. It frees man from all fear. The worship of Lord Ganesha fulfills all desires. He who seeks money will be rich, he who seeks finds, and he who seeks salvation. This layer is expected to start producing results within six months. Within a year, one will definitely work towards a successful result. Sankata Nashana Ganesha Stotram is mentioned in Narada Purana, one of the eighteen Mahapurans recited by Narada. Stotram Reading brings wealth, experience and security. It also fulfills the desire of believers. Shri Sankata Nashana Ganesha Stotram Narada Uvacha: Pranamya shirasa devam Gauri putram Vinayakam. Tritiyam Krushna Pingaksham, Gajavaktram Chaturthakam ||2|| Think him first as god with broken tusk, second as the Lord with one tusk, third as the one with reddish black eyes, fourth as the one who has the face of an elephant. Lambodaram Panchamam cha, Sashtam Vikatamev cha. Saptamam Vignarajam cha, Dhoomravarnam tathashtamam ||3|| Fifth as the one who has a very broad paunch, Sixth as the one who is cruel to his enemies, Seventh as the one who is remover of obstacles, Eighth as the one who is of the color of smoke. Navamam Bhalchandram cha, Dashamam tu Vinayakam. Ekadasham Ganapatim, Dwadasham tu Gajananam ||4|| Ninth as the one who crescent in his forehead, Tenth as the one who is the leader of remover of obstacles, Eleventh as the leader of the army of Lord Shiva, And twelfth as the one who has the face of an elephant Dwadasaithani namani, Trisandhyam yah pathenara. Na cha vighna bhayam tasya, Sarvsiddhi karam param ||5|| Any one reading these twelve names mentioned in Sankata Nashana Ganesha Stotram, at dawn, noon and dusk, Will never have fear of defeat, and would always achieve whatever he wants. Vidhyarthi labhate Vidhyam, Danarthi labhate Dhanam. Putrarthi labhate Putran, Moksharthi labhate Gateem ||6|| One who pursues education will get knowledge, one who wants to earn money will get money, One who wishes for a son, will get a son, and one who wants salvation will get salvation Japet Ganapati stotram, Shadbhirmasai phalam labheth. Samvatsarena sidhim cha, Labhate natra sanshaya ||7|| Results of chanting this prayer, Of Ganapati will be visible within six months, And within a year, he would get all wishes fulfilled, And there is no doubt about this. Ashtabhyo Brahmoyashr Likihitwa yh samarpayet. Ganesh Stotra in Sanskrit:

Why is Ganesh Stotra chanted? Reciting Sankata Nashanam Ganapati Stotram every day frees an individual from a wide range of hindrances and devastates all distresses. Sankat in Hindi means problem and Nashanam intends to remove until the end of time. So, by reciting this Stotram, one can get rid of their issues until the end of time.
How to recite Shri Ganapati Stotra?
Sit down in an eastern direction.
Sit in a comfortable position like Sukhasa or Padmasan.
Take a large portion of the glass of water and mix it with some Vibhuti (Holy ash) Offer a wholehearted prayer to Deity Shri Ganesh.
Discuss Shri Ganapati Stotra ( Hymn of Deity Shri Ganesh) No. 2 to 4 for example from ‘Pratham Vakratundach’ to ‘Dwadashan tu Gajanan’ multiple times.
At 111th time discuss full Hymn.
Finally offer genuine appreciation to Deity Shri Ganesh. This presentation takes thirty minutes.
After this, drink Tirth (Water blended in with Holy ash) with full confidence.
What is the benefit of chanting Ganesh Stotra? Regular reciting of Ganesh Stotra calms your mind and is known to keep the evil away from your life. It also makes you healthy and prosperous.
