second piece from my review of @olivieblake 's the atlas series. I love these characters so deeply, and these three in particular, in their twisted discoveries of their personnal philosophies, and what ever can let them survive, was inspiring to read, and meant a lot to me. all three piece's speedpaints are up on my youtube channel!:)

“Mermaids were beautiful, and was I not also beautiful? Alluring? A creature of the water? Not of salt like the mermaids in the book, but of chlorine.” chlorine by Jade song is such a unique book. I don't think I've read a book in recent memory that grabs you as violently as it does, and brings you on a journey of competition, friendship, love, gore and water. the descriptions and metaphores/similes in that thing genuinely made me rethink some of life's staples and my own opinion. this book is incredible. mermay day 11 I just wanted to draw a pretty boy merman, and I think it's important to draw fat men because they are pretty! I've drawn a bunch of fat mermaid, but not merman yet lol so here it is. Also in this new rendering style because it's really fun! I'm still playing with it but I like it so far

"Gepetto's puppet... we need your help" Lies of P is such a pretty game. I loved the story telling a lot, especially sophia's. She's such an interresting character and I wish there were more characters like her in soulslike games, I reviewd the story of the game!!! its on yewchube!

mermay day 19 after watching the little memaid 2023, Halle was great and All but Melissa stole the show with Urusla. a really fun rendering of the character (with a terrible makeup job but whatever lawl) Really happy with the shading and the design, Ursula is so very dear to my heart.

poor unfortunate movie as a tradition, I have drawn ursula every mermay, and it's the second time in a row where she opens the ball, she is one of my favorite fictionnal fish after all. This was made when the first look at mel mccarthy came out (which, okay costume, meh casting, terrible cgi in my humble opinion) and I wanted to render it in my style, and drag-ish
