find an animal or theme and base them around that first! also know what you intend to use them for. personally i like to start at the base of "ok what kind of person should this be" and then find them a symbolic theme to associate them with. or just a theme that looks fun

I really wonder how Trickster feels at this point as the only member of his family whose only encounters with the Doctor had been via a beetle whose time meddling led to the Doctor's death briefly only to be defeated by Donna Noble and the timeline undone and via the wedding of former companion Sarah Jane, only to be defeated once more not by the Doctor again but instead, Sarah Jane and her kids (again in their case lol) alongside the latest pawn of his to go fuck you and take back the deal with him.

6. Which book or character did you not like at first but eventually grew on you?

for books - affc by far. i think its paced poorly and its glaringly obvious its povs that were removed from the more important book (ADWD), and i still think its the weakest of the series so far, but ive grown to like cersei's insanity and everything going on with jaime. plus i have a weakness for the ironborn and martells.

i alsoooo really didnt like f&b at first until princess weekes's video about hotd with the argument of it being like historical accounts that disagree with each other and seeing it through the lens of biased storytellers, and it became a lot more fun to read & be hypercritical of the targaryens through it. i love debating.

in terms of characters, ohhh id have to say jaime. i really despised him at first because of how much he kept insulting brienne. then he stops doing that as much. also most of the targs tbh i really, really hated the whole family and while i dont love them i do see why theyre interesting. death to old valyria regardless though i hope the targs end with dany.

21. A moment that made you cry

melting of ice. it felt like such a moment of no-turning-back, tywin lannister is by far my most beloathed character in the series and he works as a fantastic villain. i knew the red wedding was coming and id already mourned for robb by the end of book one, thats how the red wedding is written, but the melting of ice really hit my heart as like damn. even the symbols and cultural artifacts are no longer sacred to those who hate them. melted to be joffrey and jaime's swords. i lowkey still hope jaime dies on the end of widow's wail or oathkeeper. a lannister has to die at the blade of one of those swords, all i want.

22. A character so queer-coded you’d argue it to GRRM’s face

theon easy. the extreme desperation to be seen as masculine in a culture that prioritizes hypermasculinity and not even in a sense that he wants to really be as masculine as possible, he just desperately wants the respect of his peers and sees himself being demasculated as losing that respect. he's also not hyper masculine, he's described as like a sort of prettyboy non-threatening boyband appearance guy, which is why female characters are sooo into him. its a sort of narrative connected to queer narratives often and well i like that. theon you'd probably hate yourself less if you went on estrogen.
