!!Question for 4t2 Converters !!

Mostly for clothing converters: Do you actually must have TS4 installed in order to convert?

I ask because around the time I went off on vacations, I started to adventure into converting stuff from 4t2 for personal use. So I got all the recommended programs and collected the appropriate tutorials and it worked for me with jewelry (and hairs sort of...)

But recently I tried to convert a piece of ACC clothing I realized I had a problem. Sims 4 Studio didn’t show a body nor did it show in Blender, it didn’t show ever since I had gotten the programs, so I thought it was normal, but it shown on the tutorials I had followed. It didn’t bother me much up until the TS2 T model pose and the pose of TS4 didn’t match, making it very hard to work with.

So I bothered a couple of people about it, thinking either Blender or S4S was not working correctly - and I am SO GRATEFUL for their help - and two different sources told me I should not need TS4 installed for the body to show. Thing is, after I installed the base game just to be sure, the model body showed up in S4S and Blender.

So my question is, do you actually need to have the game? TS4, apart from occupying space in an already extremely crowded hard drive, puts a strain on my 11 year old laptop (even if I don’t intend to play, but I remember how it struggled when I played the free beta), so I would like very much to not have it installed.

Is there a way around it? Not having the game but having the body show up because the poses between TS4 and TS2 don’t match when working on millkkshape.
