University student!Yuta x reader
Genre: slight enemies to lovers au, a bit of angst, a lot of fluff, and several mixups
Summary: You just got into uni and decided to move in with your childhood friend!Taeyong at the city where you are going to study. As you’re about to start your new, adult life, you meet his friends, and you realize that not everyone likes you. Nakamoto Yuta in particular almost seems like he hates you.
A/N: In this fic, Jonghyun from NU’EST appears for a while (just to avoid confusion). Also, wow I never thought I’d post this. I hope you guys like it. Also I thought I’d update every Sunday but I couldn’t restrain myself. Welp.
Warnings: n/a
Word count: 1.6K (I should let you know that I’ve finished writing it so I’ll update it every 3 or 4 days!)
Part 4/11 (I think) First / Previous / Next
Taglist: @melitadala @chxotickpoptrash @aiforyuu @fineapplehoe (please let me know if you’d like to be tagged!)
As soon as you told Chan what happened, after the other two left, he was speechless. He immediately offered to come home with you and help you choose what to wear, as he was the one person of those you had met that day that you were sure you reached your house, where you found Taeyong sitting with Yuta at the balcony. You let Chan in and Taeyong came to meet him in the speed of light.
“SO, you’re in her class, right? I’m Taeyong, oh and this is Yuta. We’re two years older. Do you like it here? Did you find a nice place? Oh, and let us know if you need anything…”
“Taeyong, just let the man breathe.” They both laughed at your comment and you went outside to find Yuta.
“Hey, how are you?”
“Great, thanks. You?” he asked, with a smile on his face.
“Awesome, honestly. My first day was amazing and I also met a lot of people, actually. I didn’t expect to be so lucky on my first day, so I’m kinda thrilled,” you said.
“And she’s got a date.”
“Chan, oh my god, it’s not a date!”
“Yet…” he smirked. Taeyong was looking at you in shock, and Yuta wasn’t even blinking for two seconds.
“Well, we went for a coffee with two other guys and the waiter kinda hit on me.”
“You hit on him first.”
“Fine. I hit on him first. The point is that I’ll see him again tomorrow and Chan came for emotional support.”
“Oh my god, my baby’s got a date!” Taeyong shouted in enthusiasm and ran to hug you.
“Did you say a waiter? Where?” Yuta asked.
“At that coffee shop close to our building. His name is Jonghyun. He’s a third-year student, so you might know him.”
“I do,” Yuta answered.
“And?”
“And what?”
“Is he nice? Like, am I going to die if I’m alone with him? Is he a good guy?”
“I think so, yeah,” Yuta replied. “I don’t know him well enough to have more details though.”
“It’s okay. I guess I should be thankful for the fact that you’ll know who to blame when you find me murdered at the bottom of a cliff.” You made everyone laugh. Yuta laughed as well. It was a beautiful sight to watch. You thought of that every time you saw him, but quickly snapped out of it, when Chan started dragging you back inside the house and towards your room.
“So, what’s the deal with you and those guys?” Chan asked, as he was going through your closet.
“Well, Taeyong’s my best friend ever since we were little and now, he’s my roommate, and Yuta is a friend whom he met here. He’s a nice guy.”
“Kinda cold though.”
“Yeah, he is. Taeyong’s other friends told me he’s a sweetheart when he opens up to people though.”
“I sure hope so, because he barely said hello to me earlier.”
“I hope so too…” you mumbled and continued searching with Chan, until he thought he had found the perfect outfit for you to mesmerize your potential date.
A while later he had to go, leaving you alone in your room to sit, when you heard a knock on your door.
“Are you decent?”
“Yeah, come in,” you said, and Taeyong opened the door.
“Will you come sit with us?”
“Taeyong, I wanted to talk to you about this.”
“What? Sitting with us? Did anything happen with anyone?”
“Oh no, not at all. But it’s not necessary that they always want me around. I just moved here and stole their friend away. And I don’t want them to think that.”
“But Johnny would never… And V, no.” He paused. “Is Yuta acting weird?” You didn’t even have time to react and he was already making assumptions. “If he is, I’ll kill him for sure. He has nothing to worry about! Tell me. Has he said anything to you?”
“No, of course not. He was being a bit distant and I asked Johnny about it, is all. But, Taeyong, think about it. You used to be two, and now I’m here. It’s not irrational to feel like this. Now, please go. You’ve left him alone.”
“Fine. Come whenever you want though. I have other friends besides him, and he needs to know that.” Taeyong left your room, obviously irritated. You worried that something would happen with Yuta, but you didn’t hear them raising their voices. You feared that one day it would happen, but you were safe for now. Besides, you had already met enough people to hang out with and not become a load on Taeyong and his friends. You were already becoming independent.
The next day, you wore the outfit you had found with Chan and went to college, where you found him staring at you from afar, admiring the work he’d done.
“Oh my god, red suits you so much.”
“Come on, you’re making me blush,” you said and he laughed.
“Are you ready for five long hours of class and then for your date?”
“Shhh, don’t say that so loudly. Someone might hear it.”
“Someone might hear what?” you heard and turned around, only to find Yuta standing right beside you.
“Nothing. What are you doing here?” you asked in panic.
“What do you mean? I study here.”
“Oh, right.”
Chan didn’t hesitate to interfere, seeing you were in complete panic mode. “Don’t get her wrong, she’s just nervous for this afternoon.”
“Ah, right, the date.” Yuta smiled. “I hope everything goes well with that. But, that’s not why I wanted to talk to you. Can you come with me for a second?”
“Oh no, don’t bother. I’m going to class, alright? I’ll get you a seat next to the others,” Chan said and you thanked him.
Yuta waited a few seconds for Chan to leave before he started talking, which seemed like the longest seconds of your entire life. “So, since you’re new here, and you probably don’t know about this, our department hosts movie nights two times a month for people from different departments to get to know each other. And it’s this Saturday. We’re watching The Zodiac Killer. Would you like to come? I told the others already and they said yes.”
As shocked as you were from Yuta’s suggestion, you thought you wouldn’t dare to lose this opportunity, since it only happened once in a lifetime. “Yes, I’d love to!” you exclaimed, trying and not succeeding to hold back your enthusiasm.
“Okay, I’ll text you the details,” he smiled. “Well, I probably won’t have to, though, as I’ll be seeing you all the time from now on. Anyway, I have to get going. Bye,” he said and left soon after, leaving you speechless and unable to go to class. Yuta, who was colder than an ice cube, had invited you voluntarily. If that wasn’t progress, you didn’t know what could be.
You went at your class, sat next to Chan, who was mocking you for Jonghyun all day, and BamBam, who was practically sleeping on is desk, and that was how the day passed until you actually had to man up and go to the coffee place.
“Chan, please slap me in the face. I can’t go in.”
“No, I can’t slap you. We need you to be pretty for your date.”
“Ah, come on! This is not the way to give some strength to a friend.”
“Neither is slapping you before meeting a hot guy!”
“Fuck, you’re right. Okay, I’m going in.”
“You’ve got this! I believe in you.” He waved goodbye at you and left as you entered the coffee shop around 5:30. You spotted him on the counter, taking an order from an older lady. You hadn’t consciously noticed it, but you spent a few seconds looking at him, admiring his subtle but rather gentle smile that showed off his cheekbones and all the beautiful characteristics of his face.
You soon snapped out of it, as you heard his voice.
“Y/N, you came! Hi! What can I get you?”
You blinked a few times, trying to get it together and actually retain contact with the planet earth, and replied to him. “Oh, hi! Um, a double cappuccino with a lot of sugar please.”
“Sure. You can sit for a while until I finish my shift and then we can go for a tour around the city, since you’re new. I can show you a few places if you’d like and maybe we can sit somewhere…?” he said, smiling. You couldn’t take your eyes off his smile. He was incredibly handsome and seemed like an amazing guy. What could possibly go wrong?
“Yeah, sure! I’d love to,” you replied. Besides, it wasn’t really that hard to watch this guy work while enjoying a perfect cup of coffee.
After a few minutes, you noticed him going at the back of the shop. He returned moments later, wearing his normal clothes and not the shop’s uniform, finding you emerged in your thoughts.
“You look so good in red.”
“Oh my god thanks,” you were already blushing, three seconds into your date. That was when you realized he was wearing a dark gray shirt and black pants that made him twice more handsome than usual. In fact, you wished Chan hadn’t left the city center just to see him like this. You were sure your words would not even be close to how he really looked. “You don’t look bad yourself,” you teased.
He offered you his arm and you followed, watching him show you the basics in the city since you were new there. He knew all the best coffee shops, bars and stores you wouldn’t notice at first glance. After a while, you decided to sit at a place near the park for a beer, since there was the best view. The orange leaves falling off trees were the best setting for your date. Or, at least what was starting to look less than a get-to-know encounter and more like a date.

Drag Me Down (To Hell) - End
Hello, everyone~
I wish I had better news regarding this fanfic, but if you know me at all then you’d probably know that this post was a long time coming.
So without further ado, it’s time for me to explain why I’m going to be abandoning Drag Me Down.
As people who’ve been following me for a while, you probably remember last summer, when I was studying in Korea and soon after I got home, a bunch of writers that I looked up to on this site (foolishly, might I add, as I’ve learned that they’re all assholes) suddenly threw me under the bus and made it look like I was a bully who’d attacked everyone. Of course, I’m not denying that I did call some bitches asshole bitches, but!
I can’t blame my lack of motivation for this account entirely on that instance, as I really don’t give a flying fuck what a bunch of gross people think about me, but if you’ve followed me then you know that I now hate x reader fics.
I hate x reader fics and I hate the entire x reader community except for like 2 people, just about everyone is two-faced and terrible. A lot of people steal ideas (my sub!guk fic that I posted, only for someone else to post the exact same thing not even 2 weeks later) and perpetuate gross stereotypes for the idols they write for and it’s honestly so exhausting even contemplating continuing to ever write for this account. I used to love this writing community, but upon learning that a bunch of weak-willed people hide behind their high follower counts and send their anons after people that they have issues with, I began to see this community as what it really is: toxic and debilitating
I’m sorry if this seems harsh, but the reality is that a few terrible, toxic people ruined this side of the fandom for me, a place where I made really good friends, and I’m still a little peeved.
Enough about my prolonged bitterness at the awful people a lot of innocent readers look up to.
I really did want to finish dmd, as it was my first multi-chaptered fic and I know a lot of you were looking forward to the last few chapters and how the entire thing would play out. Unfortunately, you can see that I don’t have the motivation to continue. It took me a month to write Limitless at 10k words, it took 2 weeks to write a 27.8k fic for my other account, and then one day for a different, 8k word fic.
But I don’t want to leave you guys hanging, so I’ll explain what was going to happen:
the next chapter was to start with everyone in a meeting, trying to figure out where eunhye could be and how to keep surin safe
taehyung receives a package with his parent’s eyes and knows it’s from eunhye, gets into a fight with jeongguk over it and over the oc’s involvement in everything, calls him out for not keeping everyone safe like he said he would and leaves
jeongguk makes the decision to move surin out of the country, to get her into hiding until he can locate eunhye
oc spends the night in surin’s room to calm her down, bites her tongue against telling surin what’s going to happen
in the morning, oc asks jeongguk what his plan is, but he says it’ll be better if she doesn’t know. that way if anything goes wrong no one can use her against him. and if he doesn’t come back, she can’t accidentally reveal his intentions
oc and jimin take surin to school like usual
after dropping surin off in class, bogum finds oc leaving the school and tells her that eunhye got to the house and jeongguk has ordered everyone to the safe house to plan their attack, that he already moved surin to the car out back
oc follows bogum out, doesn’t recognize the van he’s driving and asks where surin is. he knocks her out.
jeongguk gets a call hours later, when surin is supposed to be getting home and he hasn’t heard from the oc in too long. it’s from bogum, saying he has both of them and the only way to get one of them back is to give eunhye what she wants- a hidden, sealed vault of jeongguk’s father’s that he constantly bragged had some of the most valuable and famous artwork ever stolen
jeongguk refuses. calls taehyung but doesn’t get an answer, calls bogum again and doesn’t get an answer
he searches through the files and information he has at his whereabouts to look for clues to where eunhye could be keeping surin and oc
realizes it’s his club, inferno. when he arrives with a few other trusted guys (mostly bts members) the club is on fire
oc manages to break the ropes on her wrists where she’s being tied up but she’s having difficulty getting surin, tied in a different room, free. half of the place is on fire, supporting beams are starting to fall and oc doesn’t know if she can get both of them out
jeongguk saves them blah blah blah
moves surin to the safe house hidden in daegu, still can’t reach taehyung. he gets into contact with eunhye and they set up a meeting at han river for that night
jeongguk tries to send oc to the safe house, too, but she refuses. so jeongguk allows her to go with jimin and the others to take back the base that bogum and the other traitors had taken over
they kiss before separation like all the gross hetero movies
jeongguk gets to han river, is wary because he knows there must be a trap. gets a call. it’s taehyung. eunhye has him restrained on the bridge.
scene cut to oc and the bts boys, they all engage in a shoot out with the traitors and she shows off her new skill in shooting.
back to jeongguk, he climbs the steps to the bridge and runs about halfway across the river and comes across taehyung, tied to a chair and dangling over the river. he’d fall if not for the thin rope keeping the chair up
says he’ll get taehyung out of there but just then eunhye attacks him
her fighting style is primitive, mostly because jeongguk’s father’s gas weapon attacks against her decades ago weakened her hands and she can’t use guns or new age weapons very well
jeongguk is close to losing the fight, several times they almost jostle taehyung right off the bridge
taehyung shouts something just before a sneak attack by eunhye, the reminder of a move the two of them did together when taehyung first started working for jeongguk, and jeongguk knows how to dodge the move and send eunhye falling off the bridge
jeongguk unties taehyung, taehyung calls him an idiot but they’re both fond (spoiler alert they used to bone) they leave han river to get to the meeting point
reunion and all that jazz, oc and the rest of the guys were able to stave off the traitors
oc says she can’t do this right now, tells jeongguk she’ll go away for grad school and when she comes back she’ll make the decision whether it’s right for her to get involved with a mob boss and his daughter
jeongguk cleans up the loose ends while she’s studying abroad
oc comes back to jeongguk and surin waiting at the airport for her, missed them and all that gross shit
they do end up together and probably have more kids and other gross shit
the end !
Again, I am so sorry to everyone who was eagerly awaiting an update for this story. I’d rather stop writing it entirely than put forth half-assed updates that I hated more than anything.
You are all more than welcome to follow me on twitter, where I’m a little more active than here. I’ll try to be a bit more active here now that I don’t feel pressured to write for this account. If, for some reason, you’d like to continue reading my fics, you can ask off anon for my ao3, where I mostly post taekook right now, soon to be yoonkook, taegi, hopekook, ect.
Thank you all for the kind messages and praise for the fic. My kind readers are the reasons I tried so hard to force myself to continue to write this fic, but ultimately I am going to have to say goodbye.
I hope you can all understand and accept my decision. Thank you.

For a Napollya prompt could I maybe request an AU where Illya works as a CIA/FBI agent working to capture the very annoying and slippery art thief who constantly flirts with him while on the job? (You can choose whichever time period this takes place in, could be modern day, 20s, 60s or whatever)
Settlement
Fandom: The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (Movie)Series: -Rating: General audiencesWordcount: 1 450 wordsPairing(s): NapollyaCharacter(s): Napoleon Solo, Illya Kuryakin.Genre: Hidden declarations of commitment.Trigger warning(s): None that I’m aware of.Summary: It isn’t the first time this happened and, honestly, it’s not the most frustrating either. The Youtube fake fire is a bit much, though.Note(s): Thanks for this prompt, I liked it very much! (As evidenced by how it’s like. Triple the size of my usual FFN stories.) It could probably use a bit of polishing to be a better story, but my unofficial rule for these things is ‘write, spell check, post’ unless the first version is truly horrendous (if I start treating my Flash Fic prompts like my longer stories, I won’t be able to call them flash fics at all tbh) so…have this. Thanks again, Nonners! TMFU is my current obsession and I could use more training for writing our favorite spie :3
“Ihope you like carbonara,” Solo’s voice announces from thekitchen, “I couldn’t find the ingredients for anything fancier.”
Illya, still halfway into the hallway with his hand on his gun, takes asecond to sigh and press at the headache budding between his eyesbefore he holsters his weapon. Solo must have ascribed some sort ofmeaning to the silence, though, because he steps out of the kitchenwith a shit eating grin and the most garish apron Illya has ever seenin his life. And that includes the cowboys and cacti model the manwore when he first did this, back in Berlin.
“Youreally need to take better care of your kitchen, you know.”
Illyagives him the kind of flat stare that makes his colleagues pause andthe new recruits reconsider talking to him altogether. It would bemore efficient if Solo hadn’t been immune to it from the beginning, but just because the stupid American doesn’t have any sense ofshame or decency doesn’t mean Illya needs to indulge him. He doesholster his gun, though. He can’t shoot an unarmed suspect, especially one without a violent history, and Solo missed far toomany opportunities to hurt him to play that card now.
“You’reand international thief,” Illya tells the man as he closes the doorbehind him, “I don’t take suggestions from you.”
“Internationalart thief,” Solo corrects, walking back to the stove, “andyou did ditch the bow tie.”
Illyarefuses to raise to the bait but, Solo is just conceited enough totake any kind of answer as a confirmation of guilt. It wouldn’trankle so much if he were wrong but, well. Illya did have doubtsabout the bow tie before Rome, and Solo may be many things, but he’sdefinitely not tasteless. Nothing in the world could make himoutright admit that, though.
Hesighs.
“Why?”
“Youforgot?” Solo tosses over his shoulder with mock hurt. “Tovarishch,I’m offended.”
Illyarolls his eyes and, because he knows he won’t have peace until heagrees to the stupid masquerade, goes to fetch cutlery in the drawersand set up a table for two.
“Oh,dining room, please,” Solo says when he realizes Illya is going forthe kitchen table. “I’m not having an anniversary dinner on aFormica table.”
“It’sa practical material,” he says.
Illyahasn’t learned enough French to catch the exact meaning of Solo’sreply, but the disdainful tone is easy to catch. He ignores it,leaving two plates with Solo and going to set the rest of the tableinstead. He can’t quite restrain a scandalizes noise when herealizes Solo pulled up a ten-hours loop of burning log on the TV.
“Itis an anniversary, Tovarishch. Did you expect me to put soccer on?”
“Ihear Marseilles is playing Paris,” Illya replies while he tries toremember on which side of the plate the fork goes in Italianetiquette. “The whole office talked about that today.”
“Andnot me?”
Solohas appeared in the living room with two plates in hand, apron tossedoff to reveal the pin-stripped three piece suit underneath: asingle-breasted navy thing that cost as much as Illya’s currentcouch. It’s still an Anderson & Sheppard, though, and Illyasuspects half the reason is because the shop is discreet enough notto let Solo’s appointment hours slip out to Interpol until it’stoo late or entirely unavoidable.
“Clearly,”Solo concludes as he sets the plates side by side on the coffeetable, “I need to put in some effort. I was thinking about aModigliani, next time.”
Solohates Modigliani, and even if he didn’t Illya knows better than toexpect a straight admission of intent from him. He makes a note tomention it to the team just in case, though, see if there’sanything more behind the reference than mere fancy. It isn’t as ifthey’ve had much to work with these past few months, anyway. Illyahasn’t heard anything new on Solo in weeks before tonight.
“Goingsoft, Solo?” He asks, frowning at the shiver of dislike thatcourses through his chest at the thought.
“Thinkingof retiring, actually.”
Illyaknows he shouldn’t have turned so fast. At the very least, heshould have avoided knocking his empty wine glass to the ground. Hehas been chasing Solo for thepast five years or so now, though. Hearing the whole thing might bein vain is bound to be a shock. A rather nasty one, too, if therhythm of his heart is to be believed.
“I’mforty-one—”
“Thirty-nine,”Illya corrects, just to remind the man he knows him better than that.
“I’mat a turning point of life is what I’m saying, Tovarishch,” Solocontinues as if he hadn’t noticed the interruption. “Believe mewhen I say this comes as a complete surprise, but these days I’vefound myself longing for some form of…long-term presence, shall wesay. Much as I love my job—”
“It’snot a real job.”
Illyadoesn’t realize he’s been expecting Solo to respond by defendinghis thieving until what comes out of the man’s mouth instead is:
“Yes,well, it still keeps me too busy for an actual social life.”
Illyastares at Solo, the shock of revelation pulling sarcasm out of hisreach.
“You’reserious,” he says.
Solosmiles, shrugs, and digs into his spaghetti like he didn’t justdrop the mother of all bombshells in Illya’s lap. The radius isextremely relative, Illya knows, but still! Five years of mostlysingle-minded pursuit took over hislife as well. He can’t even comprehend the thought of a lifewithout it, yet. It’s too vast, too abrupt, too…damn.
“Ihave what it takes to vanish,” Solo continues after a fewmouthfuls. “I could be gone tomorrow.”
Well, that bit, at least, was expected. It doesn’t make it any easier to swallow, though, andIllya reaches for the wine bottle Solo must have brought from theoutside, fills his over sized glass to the brim, and drains it in onego. His fingers shiver when he’s done, and he doesn’t feel anymore settled, but at least it catches Solo’s attention.
“Sothis is goodbye, then?” Illya manages through gritted teeth.
Theway Solo sets his fork and knife down on the table should probablynot be that satisfying, but then Illya gave up on ‘probably shouldnot’s somewhere between the third time Solo sneaked in his hotelroom for dinner and the first time he got Illya a Christmas gift. (Itwas a pair of silver cuff-links with a hammer and sickle on them. Thebox included a receipt with the words ‘the things I do for you’in Solo’s neat cursive at the bottom.)
Hehasn’t relented in his efforts to catch the man, far from it! He’sgot a couple of broken ribs and a messy cut on his hand to attest forSolo’s messier escape. It’s just that somewhere in the past fiveyears, his disdain for Solo shifted to grudging respect, toappreciation, to the sort of admiration that comes with worthycompetition. He still wants to catch him, he’s just much lesslikely to gloat about it when he does.
“Itcan be,” Solo says after a long time. “If you want.”
Hestill looks infuriatingly put together. Meanwhile, Illya’s handsache with how hard he clutches his fork, and he’s fairly sure he’sabout to break his teeth or something. It’s still a wildlyinappropriate reaction, but at least a minute ago it didn’t hurt.
“I…Iwould miss you, though,” Solo says at last.
Thistime, when Illya turns around, he finds the man looking down at hisplate, carefully chewing around a mouthful of pasta. Illya stompsdown on the ludicrous bubble of golden hope in his chest and asks:
“Areyou saying this because you’re hoping to get out of prison.”
“Please,”Solo protests, the veneer of self-assured sarcasm sliding back intoplace, “I’m not naive enough to think that’s possible. And likeI said, I don’t need your help to get out of a sentence.”
Hepauses, settling his cutlery down on the side of his plate and givinghis fingernails a careful look before he looks Illya in the eyes andcontinues:
“If,however, you aren’t too tired of my presence, I wouldbe…amenable. To negotiation.”
KissingSolo right then and there is just about the antithesis ofprofessional behavior, and once he writes it down in his report he’llhear about it until the end of his days. He’ll be damned if Solodoesn’t make it worth his while, though.
