Is Gonzo as loud as I remember my lovebird being? Is that just a lovebird thing to constantly scream or was that just a My Bird issue?

I don’t consider him loud bc I’ve been living and working with parrots of all kinds for many years now. His noises are frequent and high pitched, but not actually very loud in the grand schemes of things. However, I also recognize that anyone who isn’t familiar with parrots would consider him loud.

And it was definitely not a “your bird” issue! There’s no such thing as a quiet parrot. Their natural behaviors include a lot of loud vocalizations for a variety of reasons from being happy to being stressed.
