Most first think that this anime is an idol show. I promise you, it is NOT. Quite far from it. Vivy is regrettably underrated despite having great animation—just watch the fight scenes. It has the best of songs that will get stuck in your head for a long time. Character growth for characters - you will adore them. It even won some recognition from anime awards, yet no one talks about it. You have to watch it at least once and appreciate how this anime is made with love as it talks about experiences that make us human. You will be surprised how well the storytelling is.

This series has character designs by the art director of Baccano. In fact, the setting of it being in the early 1920s in America is sort of reminiscent of Baccano. However, the story is much crueler and more grounded than that other famous series, even if it involves a similar amount of guns and blood.

The anime follows a broken and traumatized young man fueled by revenge. It’s a tragedy and a thriller and a Mafia series. We see the lengths Angelo Lagusa goes to avenge his family, whom he’s the last living survivor of. He changes his name and leads a double life, getting close to the Vanetti family, who killed his birth family. But in the process of trying to do this, he gets adopted into this Mafia family.

He must wrestle with his morality as he keeps on the bloody road of revenge. People that don’t deserve to be hurt get hurt or killed because of his actions—even dying by his hands.

It's an anime that shows just how far someone is willing to go for revenge, willing to break everything in his path for it. And considering the Prohibition era came to an end in history, was all the trickery and killing even worth it?

Trigger Warnings: Animal Cruelty/Death, Cannibalism, Emotional Abuse, Graphic Depictions of Cruelty/Violence/Gore, Suicide, Alcohol and Smoking.

This entire series is a mob story so there's lots of guns, blood, and killing. There is an assisted suicide of an important character. Also the family dog dies when the main character's family is massacred in the first episode.

the jersey city air was cold as it hit your face, upon opening the window of your room.

you breathe it in. the night sky pores your vision and the smell the earthy, crisp air fills all your senses.

you get a little ping from your phone which causes you to look away from the sky.

'come outside, i miss you :('

you lightly giggle at your screen as you climb up from the escape stairs onto the roof of your apartment complex.

there before your eyes is bruno carrelli. wrapped up in his pajamas and adorned with a red beanie and colorful coat. his breath is steaming and his nose is already red from the cold.

"hi my darling!" you say lovingly as you walk up to him and pepper him in kisses around his eyes and cheeks (anywhere but his mouth).

he turns flush against your touch and delicately draped arms around your waist as he stuffed his face into your neck.

"hi honey." he mumbles into your neck. you feel him slightly melt into your touch once you take his hands into yours.

you laugh at his flushed state and kiss the back of his hand.

"how was your day, bruno?"

"mmmm its was alright. the store was kinda empty, there was really nothing to do except for helping kamala with something."

"oh yeah? like what?"

"... well.." he paused for a couple of moments before he continued. "i'm not sure if i can tell you right now. i'm still trying to figure out what's going on myself."

"that's alright. you tell me when your ready. also, send me pics of avenger con. i wanna see your cute face!" you whined.

"hmmmm.." he pulled back from your neck.

"maybe, but just maybe." he responded, looking into your eyes for an answer before turning flushed again and blinking away.

you let a small smirk creep up onto your lips.

"hey, look at me bruno. please." you says as you cradle his face with your hand. your other hand intertwining with his and turning it over to kiss his back hand.

"you're so pretty. my pretty boy." it only comes out a little louder than a whisper but it makes bruno turn into a puddle.

"stop. don't say things like that. you'll make me fall more in love with you." he whined slightly.

"hmm. good." you state swiftly before crashing your lips into his abruptly.

you could see his eyes widen for a second before he melts into the sweet kiss and holds your face ever-so-gently. you could feel his cold face on yours as you try to warm up your faces. you could barely get a whiff of the very faint AXE he put on hours ago.

the scenery is anything but romantic. to some, its the faint voices of people yelling and honking cars in the cold air. to you and bruno it's perfect.

and on nights like these you feel butterflies in your tummy and like somehow, everything was gonna be okay.

It's amazing how time changes your perspective on things.

Bruno is offered an incredible opportunity that will shape his future, but he's reluctant. Going to CalTech will mean leaving Jersey behind and leaving Kamala behind. This is part of the quasi love-triangle that the show is teasing in its second episode, between Bruno-Kamala-Kamran.

When I was Bruno's age, I'd be sitting there like, "Don't do it, Bruno! Stay with Kamala! You're meant to be together."

But now I'm a grown-ass man. I've lived a life, and I have the perspective and wisdom of decades. And. Well.

The thing of it is, Bruno/Kamala isn't even a thing. They're just friends. They've seemingly never broached the subject of anything more. Bruno's jealous of Kamran due to Kamala's attraction to him, but there's no indication that Bruno's ever actually sat down with Kamala and been like, "Hey, are we a thing? CAN we be a thing?"

And if he's never taken that step, then he doesn't have a leg to stand on when Kamala starts making googly eyes at the handsome new guy in town.

Like. He doesn't seem malicious about it. I'm not accusing Bruno of being a "Nice Guy" who's only pretending to be Kamala's friend or anything. But it does feel like Bruno's made some assumptions about the nature of his and Kamala's relationship, and the arrival of Kamran is forcing him to have to confront that reality.

To be honest, I'm not even sure if Bruno wants romantic Bruno/Kamala to be a thing... Or if he's just afraid of change. Bruno is so close with Kamala that he's practically family. He helps out her parents even when she isn't around and he gets invited to religious/family events. He even conspires with her to undermine their authority.

And so it leads one to wonder. Is Bruno's jealousy even rooted in an actual desire to have a romantic relationship with Kamala? He's literally about to graduate high school, and yet he doesn't seem to have ever even made a pass at her. Or has he just grown comfortable in the status quo of two best friends monopolizing each other's time; A status quo threatened by Kamala's new romantic hopeful?

Does Bruno even want to be Kamala's boyfriend? Or does he just want to be two best friends kicking back, talking about Avengers, and making cool sci-fi cosplays forever? Because a lot of people his age don't realize that the latter is actually an option - Even if it does mean sharing your time with your friend's S.O.

But regardless of what the answer to that question is, it ultimately doesn't matter. He should still go to Caltech either way. I don't want to say something pithy like "People come and go but your future is what matters!" or something. I mean, like. This is the age where most people start to lose contact with their childhood friends. But some people do stick it out. If Kamala and Bruno's friendship is so strong, I think they'll be okay.

And especially in the digital age, it's easier than ever to stay connected with people. But a chance like this? His counselor was right; If he turns this down, he might never see an opportunity like this again. There is a certain age at which you no longer have the opportunity to grow into the person you will become; You already became, and now you have to live with the consequences of who that person is.

So as hard as it is for him (and for fans who relate to him) to face, the best thing he can do is go to Caltech. Something even Bruno ultimately realizes by the end of the show.

Summary: You had took Kamela Khan underneath your wing as the events of Karli and the flagsmashers had ended you decided to mentor the young future superhero. Your husband James Buchanan Barnes stood by your side through everything now with this he’s there even more. Just when when the kid your mentoring is in danger and needs your help it’s up to you to set things right and knowing Bucky is there by your side you knew everything would hopefully be alright but there was only one way to find out.

"Y/N I can't do this it's not working" Kamela groaned trying to use her powers to streach her arms to reach you across the room. The goal was to get you encapsted in her fist as one of her primary attack moves.

"Hey, it takes time. I didn't spend 70 years in the ice with Steve to just come back and be a master at anything. Unlike most of the avengers I don't have any superpowers, so I rely on my mind and that's what you have to do right now." You lectured the young child, her eyes burrowing into yours with frustration but you kept your cool and waited for her to try again.

Kamela took a deep breath and just as she was about to try again her cell phone rang, she opened one eye, an embrassed smirk forming across her lips as she waited for you to let her to answer the phone and in reality move away from her concentration on mastering her powers.

You rolled your eyes and moved your hand in a dismissing manner and let her take the call while at the same time your phone rang.

You picked it up and answered it, your head pressed into the phone as you adjusted your gloves on your suit, it belonged to your best friend Nat as you called her but to the world she was known as the Black Widow the one who sacrificed herself for the sake of the world and though everyone loved her for that you still felt the bittersweetness of anger toward her because you wanted her back, but of course there was nothing you could do.

You answered the phone quickly.

"Hello Y/N here."

A voice as sweet as sugar answered giving your stomach butterflies.

"Well hello doll." Your husband, the ex winter solider answered, you met in 41, at the Stark Expo and since then we're inseparable until he fell off the train and you into the ice and we're reunited almost a lifetime later and losing him a couple more times to him being on the run, Wakanada, and until Thanos took him away for five years you were always skeptical and afraid if he would leave again but he hasn't and being married for 8 months since the blip had been the highlight of your life and you just hoped it wouldn't be taken away from you again.

You melted at his tone and replied quickly once more.

"Hey Buck I'm just training Kamela again."

He answered quickly

"oh I know I just had to call you I want you here with me instead love"

He always knew how to make your heart race and you stood there flirting with your husband for what felt like hours to you but in reality it was only minutes.

Suddenly Kamela screamed and you almost dropped your phone.

"What, what's wrong?" You yelled back over her.

"Bruno and Kamran are in trouble damage control is back we have to go I just got a call from Nakia." Her voice shook and you nodded let Bucky know where you were heading and said a quick goodbye and headed off.

"I don't have a suit." Kamela suddenly said."If I head out there they'll know who I am."

You grinned and handed her a box from beneath her bed.

"For you, as an avenger you'll need this." You smirked and her face lit up at the tone avenger, and she opened the box tentivly and gasped when she saw her suit.

Identical to Captain Marvels colors but more Kamela Khan.

She quickly got dressed and looked at herself in the mirror, her smile brighter then the sun itself.

“You forgot something.” You put the mask she left in the box on her face and she looked like a hero, and just before she could scream more in delight you both heard an explosion from just below and realized you needed to get going.

“Follow my lead.” And she nodded in response, you stood by her window ledge and pulled out the web shooters Peter gave you and threw out a line though you didn’t have superpowers like him you did have great agility and you flew out the window Kamela’s mouth in awe and once you were across on a building you motioned your hand to hurry up and she did using her powers to create stepping stones for her to walk on.

Both mentor and mentoree swung throughout the city until they reached the middle of the square the entire city there both Kamelas loved ones there and in the corner your husband surrounded by officials but there for you, it melt your heart.

The brawl had already begun, they were heading towards the high school and you motioned for Kamela to go and that you would join.

She nodded and took off, you grabbed your tasers and looked at the officials staring at you from damage control.

Oh they didn't know what they were getting into.

You grabbed your tasers and brawled through them imagining they were all Steve since you had a hatred for the man since he left your husband in peices and you had to pick them all up.

You missed one and had no idea just as they were about to knock you out, something or someone knocked them out first and you looked at him and of course it was your husband to the rescue.

"Hey" was all you managed to exasperate as James Buchanan Barnes stood in front of you with his suit that he now wore and beauty that had you falling to your knees.

Just as you were about to faint he grabbed your cheeks metal hand in one, you loved that he didn't cover it anymore and his flesh hand in the other his face contorted in worry and just as you were about to react he pulled his lips to yours and the world stilled and there you were once more in the middle of the battlefield kissing one another just like you did back when he was the winter solider everyone afraid you did it shocking everyone now here he was returning in the favour.

Once the kiss ended your foreheads pressed against each other you felt nothing but him. The man you fell in love with a lifetime ago and not the rest of the world taking their photos and opinions it dissolved when you were with him.

He finally breathed out completly breathless from the beauty of his wife.

"Go save the world just like you saved me."

And he let you go and you nodded at him through the crowd grabbed your web shooters and headed towards the high school.

You headed in through the doors, and was met with the gasped faces of the teenagers you were trying to protect.

"Is that an avenger?" Zoe mentioned you recongized her from the smack talks Kamela gave you about her.

"Yeah she is." Kamela grinned and you felt a warmness in seeing the child you mentored grow right in front of you.

"Okay what's the plan." You clasped your hands together and waited for them to speak.

You nodded at them as they spoke about the fact they were going to distract damage control and get Kamela and Kamran out of there as they were the ones most in danger there.

You nodded and the plan went into action.

Zoe began her live and attracted damage control there and the officials came right away and using your tasers you took them down and the moves identical to the Black Widows came into play as well in your success to finally catching up to Bruno who was fooling the guards with illusions on him being in multiple places but just as you were about to take him with you, damage control had smacked in through the doorway.

"Go." Was all he said and you protested but he just nodded and told you to leave and just before he gave himself to the authorities he turned to you and said

"Thank you for helping her become the person she is today."

And before you could say anything he pushed you into the office and Kamela pulled you underneath the table where both Kamren and her were hiding.

"Am I interrupting something?" You noticed they both looked flustered as you had just come in on something right before it happened and with young love you knew it better then anyone.

"No!" They both said in unison and you could just shake your head and laugh but then a blast interrupted your train of thoughts and you pushed both children out the doorway onto the streets where without your knowledge the enterity of damage control was there.

Just before you could take your tasers out, a sudden green light eliminated from Kamran taking you all out, green spikes threatened to stab others around you and when you saw Bucky with one to his throat something exploded inside of you. You connected with Kamelas energy and brought it out within yourself, magic exploded and created a hex around you, Kamela and Kamran. Your eyes bright with power trying to dissolve the spikes from the love of your life that could take him away from you again but you wouldn't let it happen.

"Let him go!" You screamed at Kamela and with tears in her eyes she said her final bidding words to what seemed to be her first love and opened a hole beanth her to let him go and hide and with a tearful goodbye he was gone and you pulled the power he left from everyone in danger and fell to the ground before everything went black.

You awoke minutes later to the crowd chanting

"Ms Marvel.! Ms Marvel!”

You felt groggy and pain came into your head but as you opened your eyes you weren’t met with your mentoree but the eyes of your husband your mentoree behind him.

Bucky had tears in his eyes, and when you opened your eyes he began to sob.

“Your alive.” He said crushing you into a hug that you adored and you just let him do it to you.

"See this happens more times with you then anything." You giggled the pain from so much magic throbbing.

He also laughed but still held onto you tightly.

Kamela looked almost guilty as she tried to ignore the crowds chanting but you looked at her and nodded and she let out a breath and looked beyond at her success as a new avenger and smiled at you tears in her own eyes as she got up and headed off into the night.

That just left you and Bucky alone staring at each other.

"I thought I lost you." He finally choked out and you just laughed flipped him over so he was lying on the ground and you were now the one he was staring into.

"Well you didn't and with the amount of times I almost lost you that was child's play." Before he could respond you grabbed him and pulled him into a kiss one that he would never forget.

The cheers from the crowd of seeing their favourite avenger couple kiss just brought more love to you and your Bucky.

Once you pulled away Bucky stared straight at you nothing but love in his eyes.

"When I looked up and saw you save us all with that power you awokend it made me realize why I fell in love with you in the first place."

You cocked your head.

“Why did you fall in love with me in the first place?”

He grinned nothing but your Bucky in front of you.

“This city may have a new Ms. Marvel but in my eyes from the day I met you, you were my Marvel and you always will be, doll.”

You felt yourself fall into his arms and crush him in a hug, his arms around you, nothing ever felt like home just it had been in that moment.

“My marvel.” He whispered in your ears over and over again.

All right, back to the anime Avengers. All you need to know is: pretty Loki (of course the most important part), weird noses, Avengers meets Sora & co., way too fast redemption arc, and another possible incestuous ship for me whoops. Spoilers for Future Avengers 1x20 (and probably 1x19).

Bruno looks a little early Avengers (2012) Loki and I don’t know anything about his usual character design, but between his eyes and the war paint (I think) on his face, he looks a little mind-controlled. [I knew nothing that happened before ep 19 at this point, and even that I didn’t really retain, but damn I was really close to what’s happening here.]

I hate how the only part of their face animated to move is their mouth. Like Loki begging Thor not to listen to Evil Guy No.1 would be so much more moving (literally) if the rest of his face was allowed to be expressive. Like even if they did the anime pupil vibration it would add so much more emotion.

Thor please do the whole giving the villain a false sense of security in thinking he’s won by raising your hammer against your brother but at the last second slamming it against Evil Guy’s skull (I’ve already forgotten his name). You’re smart enough for this to be feasible, I believe in you.

But letting Loki genuinely show remorse and apologize when really you’re not influenced by Evil Guy (because your love for your brother is already too strong, okay I’ll stop) before you smash Evil Guy’s head in is cool too. Loki probably needs to do this for character growth purposes anyway.

Hi! Oh I love this. I totally agree. The show outshone the comics. Iman/Kamala is clearly a fav of Kevin's and the MCU is treating her really well. If anyone disagrees, I don't know what they see. I wouldn't be surprised if Iman is credited as a producer in the upcoming years.

1. I love how she got her symbol. Like we all had a chain like that at some point. It was a beautiful tie-in. Her name and it's Arabic/Urdu meanings also being included was so clever. The show also showed that she loves Carol, but this was a story about South Asian Muslims.

2. Bruno aka the white boy embracing her culture instead of her wanting to be like him was soo refreshing. He is also way different than the comics, boy is way cooler. Although he's always on thin ice with me because his screentime should not be prioritized.

3. Kamran was definitely one of the best changes. He seems to be a favorite among the MCU writers/producers. Although his arc was fun in the comics (I like the inhuman stories), him ultimately being seen as the good guy in the MCU was extremely important. There can't be Muslims seen as terrorists in the MCU.

4. Her powers are AMAZING in the MCU. She cannot have 'flesh' powers. Not with how they're treating She-Hulk. Sana made an excellent choice. It makes her way more powerful too. Which she needs to be in space, in Secret Wars and in the Kang storyline. Shes going to kick ass. In fairness I still don't really get how she got her powers so I mean its not perfect. But like we can realistically call her strongest Avenger (eye roll) soon and it would make sense.

5. Not mentioned in the vid but Nakia was also a supportive sweetheart in the MCU. And I do feel like they expanded her role a bit. She should have had more air time in episode one but overall she was fabulous. I'm pretty sure we will also see her in The Marvels since Yasmeen was in London, briefly. So prioritizing her is a great choice.

6. Saagar is a an amazing Aamir!! He had great chemistry with Iman and I'm also excited to see more of him in The Marvels. My greatest loss is how little screentime he and Tyesha got together.

I haven't done any posts about general episode thoughts in a long time but I figure I ought to bring it back for Kamala's MCU debut, what with my icon being her right now and also what with her being my favorite Marvel character and my introduction to the comics.

I really think they captured Kamala's character well here and Iman Vellani is a delight playing her! It is interesting that they changed Kamala from being a fanfic writer to being a YouTuber discussing the Avengers, but it makes sense. I'll miss the fanfic angle but since fanfic of the Avengers in-universe is basically RPF, that probably gets into weird territory.

Now I'm not of Pakistani descent but I am Indian-American, and I'm Muslim, so I think I can speak to the accuracy of the cultural stuff. Honestly, I think it was dead on. The Bollywood music was a really nice touch, and I loved the scattered Urdu phrases throughout. And the aunty gossip is too real. I remember when a family friend was getting engaged to a white girl, the gossip was raging! (They all still came to the wedding though.) Also the Halal Guys shout out had me laughing, especially since I was considering getting lunch from there earlier today!

The family dynamic is very compelling and there was a lot that rang true for me. Honestly my parents would have reacted the exact same way if I'd asked to attend any cons. It was a bit amusing that the dialogue there seemed to be lifted from the comics since in the comics Kamala was actually asking to go to a party but it still worked because desi parents do overexaggerate things! That being said, I am kind of wary of how they've firmly slotted Muneeba as the "strict" parent and Yusuf as the "nice" parent when they were both equally strict in the comics. I don't know that I like that change. Anyway I'm also liking her sibling dynamic with Aamir and I'm looking forward to when we see his fiancee since she was really cool in the comics.

Kamala's and Bruno's dynamic is really fun. I did catch those ship teasing, which is... fine, they did that in the comics too. Anyway, they bounce off each other well! I enjoyed what little we saw of Nakia too and I hope we see more of her.

As expected, since I'm ornery like that, I still don't like the changes to her powers. I do appreciate the comic references though, like when she rescued Zoe in a similar way. And the end credits sequence with the art from the comics was VERY cool!

I am cautiously optimistic about the rest of this series!

Summary:

Satou Matsuzaka is a beautiful high schooler who has a reputation for being permissive with men. However, a chance encounter with a young girl named Shio Koube makes Satou realize that this is her first and only true feeling of love.

Telling others that she lives with her aunt, Satou secretly shares an apartment with Shio. Despite her innocent appearance, Satou is willing to do anything to protect her beloved, resorting to desperate measures to ensure that their “happy sugar life” remains intact.

Propaganda:

It is questionable, but in the way that the anime is meant to make you uncomfortable. It’s an uneasy psychological horror. You’re meant to dislike almost the entire cast, so you don’t know who to root for. Yes, the characters are fucked up, but it isn’t glorified as far as I can see.

It made my stomach churn, and I was sobbing at the end because that’s what it was trying to do.

I said it’s not good, meaning it’s not comfortable, and none of the characters are good. But it’s well-written and it’s interesting.

Summary:

Seven years later, Avilio finally has his chance for revenge when he receives a mysterious letter prompting him to return to Lawless. Obliging, he soon encounters the Vanetti don’s son, Nero, and seeks to befriend him using the skills he has quietly honed for years. Set during the Prohibition era, this show tells the story of Avilio’s dark, bloodstained path to vengeance, as he slowly ends each of the men involved in the killing of his family.

Propaganda:

This series has character designs by the art director of Baccano. In fact, the setting of it being in the early 1920s in America is sort of reminiscent of Baccano. However, the story is much crueler and more grounded than that other famous series, even if it involves a similar amount of guns and blood.

The anime follows a broken and traumatized young man fueled by revenge. It’s a tragedy and a thriller and a Mafia series. We see the lengths Angelo Lagusa goes to avenge his family, whom he’s the last living survivor of. He changes his name and leads a double life, getting close to the Vanetti family, who killed his birth family. But in the process of trying to do this, he gets adopted into this Mafia family.

He must wrestle with his morality as he keeps on the bloody road of revenge. People that don’t deserve to be hurt get hurt or killed because of his actions—even dying by his hands.

It's an anime that shows just how far someone is willing to go for revenge, willing to break everything in his path for it. And considering the Prohibition era came to an end in history, was all the trickery and killing even worth it?

Trigger Warnings: Animal Cruelty/Death, Cannibalism, Emotional Abuse, Graphic Depictions of Cruelty/Violence/Gore, Suicide, Alcohol and Smoking.

This entire series is a mob story so there's lots of guns, blood, and killing. There is an assisted suicide of an important character. Also the family dog dies when the main character's family is massacred in the first episode.

Summary: Y/N hunts people. Catches people. Kills people. But it's okay because they're bad and Y/N likes the money. Fun fact, Y/N is faster than other humans. Not super fast, but fast enough to knock a knife out of your hand before you even see it coming. They work alone. They like pizza. They swear a lot. You hated England. I mean, who didn't? It had shit weather constantly and when it improved, it ended up being too hot. Your ice cream would melt too quickly and the electric bill from the fans skyrocketed. When it was cold, however, all you needed was a few blankets, a bug killer spray, and someone to hold you. Not that you had anyone to hold you. Not for a long time.

But you were fine with that. Mostly. It's not like anyone would want to hold you anyway. It's not like you had anyone to hold you. But right now, that didn't matter.

What did matter was the guy you were waiting for to come out of the little corner shop. The rain that was hammering down on your car made it hard to see, and part of you wanted to roll down the window to help you see better but that was stupid. You couldn't afford to be stupid... literally couldn't afford it. The pay for bringing this guy in was huge, and there was no way in hell you were going to lose him. A big plus was that this guy was an absolute bitch. He found joy in harassing girls and selling drugs to underage kids. You probably would've caught him even if you got no money out of it.

After what felt like hours, but was really 20 minutes, someone emerged from the shop. Brown messy hair, mustache with some stubble along his jaw, hands in his front hoodie pockets and looking around suspiciously. Yeah, that was him. Bruno. 32 years old.

Pulling your hood over your head, you opened the car door about to follow him. Rolling your eyes at the fact that you should have brought a coat, you started walking on the street opposite him, just behind enough that he wouldn't see you. About 30 seconds later, he moved into a narrow alleyway where you saw a girl that looked roughly 15-16 years old. She looked squirmy and small, and you felt bad about whatever was going to happen. He was either selling drugs or about to do something worse. Or both. You crossed the road and hid up against the wall next to the alleyway entrance. You were totally gonna fuck him up, you just needed to wait to see what he was going to do first.

"You never told me how much it costs, so I brought 100 quid just in case."

You almost shook your head at the girl's words. Unfortunately, this was something that happened a lot in your line of work. Vulnerable young girls that got taken advantage of. Whatever he was selling definitely didn't cost £100, but you knew Bruno was going to use her cluelessness.

"Huh, let me guess, that's daddy's money?" You heard him chuckle. "Well, instead of angering dear old daddy, I can think of other ways you can pay me."

Oh, fuck no. Absolutely not. Time to step in.

"Like what-" the girl was cut off when you stepped into the alley and made yourself known.

"Hey, back the fuck away from her. Now."

"Who the fuck are you?" Bruno the Big Bitch snarled. You took a couple steps forward until he moved his hand so it hovered over his pocket. Did he have a gun? A knife? It didn't matter, you would still kick his ass.

"Someone who would kill you if you even think of touching her." The teen girl looked at you with wide eyes, but you couldn't tell what she was thinking. Probably surprised a complete stranger just walked into the area to confront BBB (Bruno the Big Bitch).

"You? Kill me? Fuck off slag, this is none of your business," It was only now that you noticed he had a bit of an Italian accent poking through. Was he putting on a English accent or was he just both? Eh, who cares. You wanted to beat him up now.

"Hey, girl, I suggest you go back home and spend that money on something nicer. Plus, you're not going to want to see this." You said to her as you started walking over to BBB. Luckily, she took your advice and speed walked off the other way, stumbling a bit out of nervousness.

Bruno pulled out a knife and glared at you. Is it bad you were hoping it was a gun? You didn't know how it could be considering England had good gun laws, but guns were always more exciting. It gave you more of a thrill knowing you could be shot in the head once and that would be it. The end. Damn, maybe your old friend was right about you needing therapy. But that was a problem for another day, (one that was definitely going to be ignored for the rest of your life, however short that'll be). You appreciated knives too though. They were quick and most of the time one slice across the neck can kill you.

BBB got into a defensive stance and smiled. He moved back and forth slightly, looking like a boxer before a fight. Stupid Bruno. His stupid confident face. He had no idea what was coming for him.

Once you were close enough, you knocked the knife out of his hand with tremendous speed and kneed him in the bollocks. As he hunched over and groaned, you sighed like this was another boring casual occurrence and grabbed him by the back of his head, slamming his face into your knee. You heard the breaking of his nose and the pained noise he made, so you smiled.

"Stop, fuck, please stop! I'm sorry, okay? Is that what you want to hear? I'm fucki-" Bruno didn't get to finish his sentence when you slammed his face on your knee again. You didn't bother to catch him when he crumbled to the ground, completely knocked out. You made a noise of satisfaction, but really you wished he wasn't so weak. These fights were always boring and were over in seconds thanks to your inhuman speed. You didn't have super speed, but you were faster than normal people. Sometimes it came in handy, but if you ran fast for over exactly 1 minute and 42 seconds, you'd throw up blood. It was not fun. You preferred to walk anyway. It was a lot less tiring.

Unfortunately, you did not have any extra strength. Carrying BBB to your car was a struggle, especially when you were on the lookout for anyone who would call the police. Fortunately there was no one around. God, you needed to work out more.

Finally, you were home. Back in your little apartment that definitely needed decorating. After dropping off BBB in some creepy closed building where men in suits took him and gave you a slight nod before handing you your payment, you decided to get pizza. Yeah, with all that money you now had, you could've went to some fancy, luxury restaurant, but you were in a pizza mood. Pizza over food with fancy names you couldn't pronounce, any day.

Dropping your apartment keys on the side table, you rubbed your neck with your hand that wasn't carrying the pizza box. How much did massages cost? You wouldn't like to be so vulnerable, but maybe once wouldn't hurt. Or maybe it would and then it would be a waste of money. Can you get refunds? Your thoughts were cut off when you heard shuffling come from your living room. You paused. You lived on your own and no one else but you had a key. Maybe a cat got in through the balcony somehow? But the doors were locked, you knew that because you double checked every time you went out. So someone must have broke in. Fucking asshole, you were really looking forward to munching on that pizza and now they had to ruin it.

As quietly as you could, you placed the pizza box on the floor. Sure, you wanted to keep your life, but you weren't going to sacrifice your food.

"I know you're out there, Y/N. You're not very good at being stealthy."

Oh, you have got to be kidding. Natasha fucking Romanoff. You haven't seen her in ages, and you wish it was kept that way. You would've preferred her to be some psycho robber. When you walked into your living room, of course she sat there on your armchair, arms resting on the sides, legs crossed and that damn signature smirk you used to love but had grown to hate.

"What the fuck are you doing here?"

"Hello to you too, I need your help," she started, her voice raspy and you hated how it brought back memories you wished you could forget. "Well, more like we need help."

You hated her but dammit if you weren't curious.

"Who's we? And how the fuck did you get in?"

"The Avengers. And don't ask dumb questions."

A/N: I recommend listening to the song whilst reading this (Just the way you are by Bruno Mars). I was out yesterday and heard this song playing and I just thought of one of my wives - the beautiful Wanda Maximoff.

You woke up to the feeling of arms pulling you closer to the front of a warm body.

"Wakey wakey sleepy head" You bury your head into Wanda's neck more and groan tiredly "Jus' five more minutes p'ease" Your speech comes out muffled and Wanda just laughs. You look up at her and your y/e/c eyes meet her dark green ones, the same eyes that you could look at for the rest of your life and not get bored of. They make you feel safe. She makes you feel safe.

"c'mon детка, we have to get ready. Tony's throwing another stupid celebration today" She pecks your cheek and rolls out of bed whilst simultaneously pulling the blankets off of you - the action resulting in you groaning loudly. "Get up. I mean it when I say I will drag your ass to the party in your pyjamas plus we have to get there before Pietro...he's always saying I'm slow. So get uppp" She grabs your legs and pulls you to the end of the bed.

You both end up getting ready in the next hour and to say Wanda was beautiful is an understatement. She had the most gorgeous white dress with matching heels, and her red hair fell perfectly around her face, a stark contrast to the green eyes. An angel.

"babe!" You shake out of your trance and look at your girlfriend. "huh?" You look at her confused and she just laughs. "I said, 'Do I look ok?' Or is the dress a bit too much-"

"No!" You practically shout, "I mean no, the dress is perfect - you're perfect, you look stunning Honey" your eyes memorising every inch of her, afraid that you'll wake up and she won't be there. You're eyes fall to the low cut V and linger for a bit longer than usual.

Wanda clears her throat and your eyes snap back up "shall we go then?" You say, trying to hide your actions. "Of course," she walks over to you and pulls you onto a kiss "you look stunning too moya lyubov"

The drive to Stark Tower wasn't long (unfortunately for you) and soon you and your girlfriend were greeting all different people. It felt like forever until you could both take a breath and relax, "Are you sure this outfit is ok? I feel so overdressed" Wanda mutters to you as you sit down in a secluded booth in the corner. She's fidgeting with her rings and her leg is bouncing unbelievably fast.

"Wanda I promise, you look amazing," you take her hands in yours and hold them "you and the outfit look amazing. And plus, a few people's jaws were on the floor when you walked in especially the toasters" you smiled as you heard her giggle at the mention of Vision.

You both knew he had a crush on your girlfriend but you also knew he would never do anything to ruin your relationship.

"Thank you детка, I love you so much...you always seem to know what to say when I need to hear it, it makes me question about who's the real mind reader here" her sokovian accent comes out thick and it makes your heart flutter.

Since moving into the avengers compound in America the accent seemed to go away over time, and it only came out like that when she was truly expressing her emotions - whether it'd be sad or happy.

"Who wants me to blast the ice sculpture?!" You hear tony yell and the crowd cheer whilst pepper tries to get tony away from his suit - obviously failing. You and Wanda fall into a comfortable silence, holding eachothers hands and knees touching together gently, you look up to see the witch staring at you lovingly. You can't help but look into her eyes again, they give you a sense of comfort.

A sense of belonging. You knew if you where with Wanda you were safe, and you had the same effect on her. You leaned in and kissed her lips ever so softly, afraid you might damage her like a fragile antique doll. She pulls away after a few seconds and nibbles on her bottom lip nervously "what was that for?"

"for just being you" you hold onto her left hand a bit tighter and subtly look at her empty ring-finger...

Peter had started dating you a few months ago, and he was glad to say that he loved every second of it.

He would usually take you swinging with him, since surprisingly, you loved to swing with him. Anytime he had free time, he’d invite you to go out with him, and you two would have a ton of fun.

He had just gotten back to the Avengers tower with you after swinging, and you had let out a laugh

“That..was amazing, baby!”

He could feel himself blush under the mask, despite being used to the various nicknames you had given him.

He, of course, would return the affectionate gesture and give you nicknames too.

He would call you darling, babes, angel, any nickname that either you had called him, or one he had come up with.

He had known about your large use of nicknames before dating you, but to get one of his own meant the world to him.

The Avengers would tease him a bit if they noticed that he was flustered by one of your infamous nicknames. But he didn’t care, after all he adored you.

Whenever you were out in public, he would feel proud when you called him by a nickname. It makes him feel like you’re proud to be dating him, so to hear you call him a nickname warms his heart.

All in all, you two are just a really wholesome couple together, and the other Avengers are very supportive of you both.

a/n: so if you couldn’t tell this is based off of the song ‘Talking to the Moon’ by Bruno Mars. its a loose interpretation. i’ve been planning an angsty fic like this for a while. angst is my favorite genre of fic, especially when it has a hopeful or fluffy ending. so this one DOES have a hopeful ending and potential for a sequel,, so yuh, enjoy! <3

     Three years, two months, and 14 days. That’s how long it had been since Peter’s identity was leaked. That’s how long it had been since he left you. For good. 

     Peter had been frantic after that news broadcast aired. He webbed back to the compound immediately, crying the whole way. He was scared for himself, sure, but the fear he felt in the pit of his stomach for May, Ned, MJ, you. That was the reason for his tears now. He could hardly breathe by the time he made it to the compound. Happy, Rhodey, Sam, and Bucky meeting him as he burst through the large floor to wall windows in the main room. The frantic yelling, pleas, and cries coming from the main room were what alerted you to his presence. When you walked in he was a mess. Crying, heaving with anxiety about how scared he was. Peter had always been a sensitive, emotional boy, but he always got over his shit eventually. But this? This, seemed like the end for him. 

     You ran up to him, shushing him and holding him. Trying to tell him to simply “breathe”. All he could say, over and over again like a mantra was a schloo of “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I love you. I’m so sorry.” Your heart broke. How could fate be so cruel to the sweetest boy? The one who was the most deserving of all the happiness life could possibly offer. The rest of the team had shown up within the next hour. Happy, Nick Fury, Maria Hill, and Pepper also present. Peter had calmed down slightly, but he knew, he just knew, this was the day he had to say goodbye. He had had this talk with Mr. Stark back when he had stopped his first villain, Vulture. Tony knew the type of sick monsters out there who would love to get their hands on the boy behind the Spider-man mask. He and Peter had developed a plan in the tragic case that Peter’s identity should be released, at least, not on his own terms. Tony’s plan was for Peter to run away. Leave. Take nothing with him but the clothes on his back, and even then burn those clothes the minute he could. Tony knew. He knew these dangers. And worse, he knew the consequences. 

     May had come to the compound the second she got the call. She knew as well. Peter knew. She knew. Tony, even in his grave, knew. Everyone knew. Everyone but you. 

     Peter had a getaway car and a destination ready within another hour. He wouldn’t disclose it to anyone. He took you aside, gently stroking your cheek to wipe the hot tears that never seemed to cease. “Hey, hey, (Y/N). I’m so sorry.” He whispered, choking up on every other word, trying to be stronger, just a little stronger, for you. “I have to go now. I’m so so sorry. I love you so much.”

     “It’s okay Peter,” You sniffled, pushing his bangs back and giving him a sad smile. “I’ll miss you, but I’ll be here when you get back. Don’t worry.” 

     Peter’s lips quivered and he heaved another sob. “No, (Y/N). I-I’m not coming back.” You took your hand back as you felt the pressure of tears building behind your eyes. 

     “W-what? No, this—it’s just temporary. Until we can—Fury and Pepper—We can fix this.” You stuttered anxiously, hoping your words would convince him that this was okay. That everything would be okay. 

     “We can’t, (Y/N). It’s done.” Peter spoke, his voice hardly making it to a whisper. 

     “No!” You wrapped your arms around his neck, trying to hold him closer. “Please. Please. Please. I-I can’t! You can’t! I—You’re all I have!” You were sobbing uncontrollably now. The weight of the situation finally caving in and crushing your heart and soul. “Please! I’ll do anything, I’ll protect you! Please!” 

     Your meltdown didn’t help Peter one bit, if anything, seeing how desperate you were to keep hold of him, to just love him; that broke him more. “I’m sorry, please forgive me. Please.”

     “How can I? You’re killing me.” You whimpered into his chest, tears soaking through his black sweatshirt. “I can’t— I just— I can’t!”

     The whole team heard. No walls were thick enough to block out the heartbroken sobs from the two teenagers in love. Fury was the one to finally bring an end to it. Nobody else having the heart to pry you from each other. Even Fury felt his own stoic exterior cracking. 

     You were in hysterics, clawing, and grabbing at Peter’s sweatshirt, hair, face, anything you could grab. It didn’t matter if you hurt him at this point, he’d heal. But if he left you, you knew you’d never recover. Fury had put you in a chokehold while yanking you back. Peter just heaved and heaved, his sobs getting louder and his chest getting tighter. May rushed over to him and took his hand, placing his head in her chest. 

     Fury yanked you back more, but you still refused to quit. Fury released his chokehold, not wanting to do any real damage to you. Right as you were released, Wanda came up behind you and placed her hands on your head, red magic already starting to swirl. 

     “No, please.” You wheezed, trying to get a fresh breath of air. “He’s all I have.”

     Wanda looked at you, tears glistening in her eyes. “I’m sorry, (Y/N). I’m so sorry.”

     Without so much as a flick of her wrist, you were out, descending into darkness.

     Peter left after that. The car taking him away, and you hadn’t seen him since. As the months went on you never really recovered. Never really felt whole again. You just survived. That was all. You went through the motions of everyday life, but never truly felt like you were living. Two weeks after Peter left, May left with Happy. They moved to California, living there ever since as well. They got married last year. You were all invited and everyone went. Everyone but you. You missed May and Happy, but it still hurt. Plus, you were busy anyway. After you graduated high school, you flung yourself into the avenger lifestyle, fully immersing yourself in it. You went on every mission possible. Did all the paperwork you could. You did anything and everything you could to keep yourself busy. Stop yourself from feeling the pain that had stopped feeling like a searing stab and had now turned into a dull ache. A new constant in your life. 

     Nights were the worst though. The only time you couldn’t be constantly avenging or working yourself to the bone on new suit technology. The only time you had to think and feel. The only thing keeping you going was the hope that Peter was still out there. Somewhere, anywhere, missing you as much as you were missing him. Watching the same moon you watched. Basking in the same sun that shined on you every day. Every horrible, miserable day. 

     “(Y/N)?” the quiet, soft voice of Pepper breaking you out of your headspace. You hummed a response and looked up at her, waiting for her to continue. “Did you hear what I said?”

     “No, sorry.” You responded sheepishly. Pepper’s gaze softened. She took in your lean figure and pale face, eyes seeming to be sunken in from the dark circles. “I was just finishing up this briefing of my last mission.” 

     “You went alone?” Pepper asked, concern washing over her features.

     “It was a simple one. Just took out a mob, was done in like, four hours.” 

      Pepper sighed. “(Y/N)—”

     “Pep, it’s fine. It was so easy, anyone could have done it.” You cut her off, turning back to your laptop, typing away. 

     “It’s not just that though. It’s all of this. This whole funk you’re in. The same one you’ve been in for years, (Y/N).” Pepper waved her hands around to emphasize her point. “We all see it. You can’t keep doing this to yourself. He wouldn’t want this.” 

     Your whole demeanor changed. The solemn, yet calm veneer breaking. “It doesn’t matter what he wants, Pepper! I didn’t want this. All I wanted was him. For the rest of my life. Nothing else would matter, as long as I had him to get me through it. But I don’t have him. I have nothing. He was it for me. He—” You sobbed, tears finally running down your face in an uncontrollable waterfall. “I feel like I died. Like I am just a spectator, no longer doing anything of interest to myself.” 

     Pepper pulled you into her so fast. She was always quick to console you. The months after Peter left she was the only one you could stomach seeing. “It’s okay. I know, shh, I know.” Pepper was tearing up now too. She knew you never got over it. But now seeing with her own eyes how broken you’d really become. The reality hurt. “He’s out there, okay? And it’s going to be okay. He’s okay. We’re okay.” 

     You just cried. That’s all you could do. The more you tried to talk about it the stronger the urge to cry was. Pepper just hummed and held you. Stroking your hair until you fell asleep. 

     When you woke up you were in your room. It was dark and the moon was shining through the opened window. You just stared at it, closing your eyes and imagining Peter was staring at it too. The same one. Thinking about you, just like you were thinking about him.

     Another few weeks went by. The same routine, the same empty feeling consistent in your body. Nothing changed. The revelation that you were, in fact, not okay didn’t fix anything. It still hurt. You were still broken.

     You were in the training room, sparring with Wanda when the melodic tune of your ringtone rang through the gym, echoing off the walls. You put your hands up in defense to stop Wanda from continuing the match. Wanda whipped her hands around and brought your phone to you in a wisp of red magic. 

     “Thanks.” You mumbled, wiping your sweat off your forehead with the back of your hand and taking the phone from the air. Wanda nodded and jumped out of the ring to grab her water bottle. 

     You looked at your phone still ringing, seeing an unfamiliar number, but taking in the location: Budapest, Hungary. You answered the call bringing the phone up to your ear “Hello?” You asked, shifting from one foot to the other waiting for a reply. A beat of silence pasted before you heard a tired, yet all too familiar voice on the other end. 

     “(Y/N)?”
