Attention Fann(e)dom!

What better way to celebrate Pride Month than with that tear-jerking reunion, am I right? That’s right, the HBO finale has aired and was an utter delight! Now, however comes the daunting prospect of the hiatus until Season 2 starts filming/premieres.

(I don’t know about you, but after falling hard for Anne Lister & Ann Walker, I know that’s going to struggle with this long wait.)

That’s why I propose a monthly challenge in order to help pass the time, whilst also providing creators the chance to share their talents with us!

Fann(e)artists (see what I did there? 😏), fic writers, video-editors, are you musically gifted, whatever your gift is, I encourage you to create!

I’ve compiled a list of topics to choose from, so instead of having to stick to a certain thing each month, you can mix and match as you please. I do just ask that any and all creations be tagged under the hashtag #GJChallenge as it’ll be an easier place to find all submissions involved and therefore reach a wider audience.

Each month I’m going to - hopefully - post one or more fics, as I myself am a writer, and I’d be absolutely delighted for any and all of you to participate!

If you see a drawing, a sketch, a painting or are an artist like our dear Ann Walker, herself, then - I think you know where I’m going with this people - give credit to the artist and (ask before) sharing it!

Starting from the end of the BBC Gentleman Jack series (Suranne Jones & Sophie Rundle). My interpretation/rendition of the couples married life until the end. Taking inspiration from Anne's diary about what her life was like from the point of marriage onwards. It's going to be a rollercoaster...

Headcanon; Anne would place a kiss on the inside of each of Ann's wrists, both before they went to sleep at night and when they woke in the morning. Even if they'd had the worst of arguments or falling's out. She do it to remind herself that Ann was still there, but to also remind Ann that she had no need to inflict harm on herself anymore. That despite everything, Anne still loved her deeply.

This is my take on how things would go down after Ann tells the Priestley's of her moving into Shibden Hall.

Ann Walker tells her cousin's, Mr & Mrs Priestley that she's moved into Shibden Hall with Miss Lister... however things don't go according to plan.

This is my take on how Mariana would react to finding out that Anne and Miss Walker got married.

Mariana arrives at Shibden unexpectedly, only to find a lot had changed since she last saw her Freddie. First and foremost, she's MARRIED and to Miss Walker no less. What happens when Anne gets called away with coal business, leaving Mariana and Ann alone.

I honestly don't know what this is, I just kept thinking about it and had to write it down. I live for soft Anne and fluffy moments between them. 

Ann finds out exactly what it was that Anne leveraged in order to secure the loan, so she could sink the pit.
