Hey I know this may be a long shot but I was wondering if anyone was able to support this small queer volunteer community that I am part of called DiversityACT.
We are a very small community and work hard to make the Canberra area a supportive and inclusive place practically.

Over the last few years, we have had the immeasurable pleasure of watching our Harry become one of the world’s biggest artists, win awards, and tour the world; all while spreading love everywhere he goes. He has invited us into his house, and let us make it a home, and 169 shows of Love On Tour later, we have come to the end of a truly iconic era.
The legacy of Love On Tour will be a lasting one and it takes a truly special person to create an environment where people are able to connect not just across oceans, but across sexualities and genders, faiths, and values. In a sea of pride flags, and nightly speeches where Harry empowered us to be whoever we want to be, the very biggest thing we’d like to be is exactly what he’s always been to us: kind.
While Harry may be taking some much deserved time to rest and recuperate, we would like to continue spreading love and treating people with kindness. It is for this reason we have chosen to celebrate the end of Love On Tour with a fundraiser.
The charity we have chosen is one that is close to our hearts and resonates deeply with us. It is one that we believe aligns with Harry’s constant and unwavering message of love and kindness, no matter what.
GiveOut is a charity that has been working with over 37 LGBTQI organisations across the world to eliminate discriminatory laws, and create safe places for LGBTQI people to exist. Their grant funding is provided in locations where key resources are needed, where important rights for the LGBTQI community are lacking, and where support and change is needed. GiveOut values everything we believe the world needs more of: solidarity, equity, ambition, stewardship and respect.
Every single issue that is being fought for requires funds to fuel it, to draw attention to the campaigns and truly make a difference. Thats why we have chosen to keep spreading love, and ask that you help us celebrate the end of Love On Tour by helping fight not just for equality, but a world where love can truly win.
Harry tells us to be lovers, to choose love and give love. To love everyone, always. Choosing love means choosing it for everyone. GiveOut are dedicating their time to making sure that can happen, so that everyone can love equally, honestly, openly and safely. Please consider donating to help them in their initiative. Thank You!

Wow! We're overwhelmed with gratitude to the Dorian community for their extraordinary efforts, raising $1300 through 17 streams by independent LGBTQI+ streamers.
We are thrilled to report that Dorian has matched these generous community donations in full. We've sent a total of $2600 to GiveOut!
We also want to show love to our amazing creators for their invaluable contributions. Each streamer will also receive the hearts from their stream!
This substantial sum will fuel the GiveOut mission to champion LGBTQI activism worldwide. This fundraiser has not only united our community, but has also granted us all the privilege of becoming a GiveOut Advocate. Thank you, fans, for empowering LGBTQI+ creators to share their voices and stories on Dorian every day!
Together, we've shown the power of unity, compassion, and inclusivity. Exciting collaborations lie ahead. Let's continue making a positive impact together!

Double your donation to a LGBTQIA+ group on GiveOUT Day
New Post has been published on https://qnews.com.au/double-your-donation-to-a-lgbtqia-group-this-giveout-day/
Double your donation to a LGBTQIA+ group on GiveOUT Day
Tumblr media
Australians are encouraged to make a donation to support a local LGBTQIA+ organisation as part of GiveOUT Day later this week.
Each year, GiveOUT Day is a national coordinated push to fundraise for LGBTQIA+ projects, community groups, and not-for-profit organisations across Australia.
Grassroots groups, usually volunteer-led, work tirelessly to provide vital programs and services. However, almost half of these groups operate on less than $10,000 per year.
In 2023, GiveOUT Day raised $405,475 for 91 Australian LGBTQIA+ organisations, projects and community groups.
This year, more than 110 organisations are participating. GiveOUT Day aims to raise over $450,000 in 2024 to support organisations across Australia.
GiveOUT CEO Em Scott said thanks to generous philanthropic partners, including Sidney Myer Fund, Fay Fuller Foundation, Slingsby Foundation, The Wyatt Trust and The Reichstein Foundation, they can double every donation before or on Thursday, October 17, the date of GiveOUT Day.
“LGBTQIA+ organisations in Australia do extraordinary work, yet they receive less than 5 cents of every $100 donated to philanthropic causes,” Em Scott said.
“GiveOUT Day is about bridging that gap and empowering these groups to continue their vital missions – from mental health support to advocacy, and beyond.”
Find out more and donate at the GiveOUT Day at the website.

Stay Don't Stay
Stay don’t stay, I loved you anyway, ‘cos I didn’t feel you half way.All I ever wanted for us was happiness and peace, Not in aesthetics, and not in pieces.I loved you whole and always even beforeThose utterances that made us foes.If it wasn’t in me, I wouldn’t even bother,To incite our deep passions and talents better.Yet still, my elementals ever synced to giveOut my intentions in a platter,…

A community-based organization!! We just sort of host events for other members, along with seminars and activities!! Very casual stuff.
As for freebies—we do a lot! I used to do the booth and hand out the pins I made, but I still do giveouts of them at the front desk at the Regional Center!! :3

Just set up the informational booth! Don’t forget to drop by for a visit!!

Did you know bi+ people make up over half of the LGBTQ+ community but receive less than 1% of donor funding? (source: LGBT Funders 2018).
This Pride month, let's challenge this inequity in our community! Here are 4 bi+ organizations you can support:
Bi Women Quarterly: A grassroots publication written by bi+ women and produced by the Boston Bisexual Women Network, available internationally for free.
Bisexual Resource Center: An educational organization that connects the bi+ community in person and online through resources, support, and celebration.
Still Bisexual: A national bi+ advocacy group that uses storytelling, education and mental health advocacy to help foster public acceptance, awareness and understanding. LA Bi+ Task Force: A grassroots organization that promotes education, advocacy, and cultural enrichment for bi+ communities. Small nonprofits like us rely almost entirely on donations to run. Every dollar and share help.
Please consider donating to our Give OUT Day campaigns or becoming a monthly sustainer to make a difference for bi+ communities.

Inclusive kickball has come to Melbourne, and it’s ready to soar!
New Post has been published on https://qnews.com.au/inclusive-kickball-has-come-to-melbourne-and-its-ready-to-soar/
Inclusive kickball has come to Melbourne, and it’s ready to soar!
Emerald City Kickball is launching in Victoria, connecting and empowering our LGBTQIA+ community through fun and accessible team sports.
Emerald City Kickball introduced themselves to Vic this Midsumma at the Sports Precinct.
On the weekend they held a ‘give it a go (GAG)’ event to introduce themselves to potential players locally.
“After coming to Midsumma, we got over 60 people interested in what we do, and that’s continued to grow.” Emerald City Kickballs Founding Partner and Chief Growth Officer James told us.
“We’ve had support from the City of Melbourne as well as Thorne Harbour Health and Proud2Play so that we can make sure we can properly support the community with what we do here in Victoria.”

More than a game
They don’t consider themselves a sports league; they are a community.
They formed during the pandemic as a way of bringing people together.
Emerald City Kickball has expanded from Sydney to Perth, then Canberra and is now Melbourne.
But what exactly is it?
“When the big red ball rolls down the pitch towards you, its size and light weight allows it to soar into the air as you kick it.”
“Turning the most un-sporty of players into a Matilda’s backbencher.” James laughed.
“When we started in Sydney during lockdowns, our priority was to create a safe space, meet new friends and get some movement going after prolonged isolation.”
“Now, we want to continue to share the kickball culture we love and value in other states within their local community.”

Why not give kickball a go?
Their Spring Season opening in Melbourne in mid-October, they are hosting a Charity Showcase weekend, to not only let you see what kickball is all about but give back to the community.
The event will support other local LGBTQIA+ not-for-profits through GiveOUT Australia.
You can sign up with a friend, or a team or fly solo. No experience is required, you get to dive into kickball but also have some fun connecting to others in the community.
Register here.
“Regardless of age, background, gender, sportiness or sexual orientation, kickball is a place where people can present themselves as their authentic selves and experience the magic that kickball brings,” James said.
“Kickball is for everyone. We have players who have never played sport their entire life come back again and again.”
“It’s something different and active with a focus on the social side of the games, making it camp and fun.”
“Each season, we randomly allocate teams to give everyone the same social starting point and foster wider community connection.”
The Melbourne Spring Season will take place on Sundays at 2 pm at Fawkner Park, followed by drinks and hangs at the Kickball Clubhouse.
Kickball is accessible to all, regardless of skill and ability.
“We are looking for locals who want to play and those who desire to shape kickball into something unique that shapes and fits the needs of the Melbourne community.”
Are you ready to give kickball a go?
Find out more about Emerald City Kickball’s Melbourne Spring Season and how you can get involved here.
