Gerwalkic - an identity in which one feels as though they are somehow "mid-transformation" in some way, whatever that may mean to them.

From the term 'Gerwalk', originally a name for a specific transformation in the Macross anime now more broadly used to describe any transforming figure displayed in a midway transformed state.

been wishing there was a YF-19 kit for some time and it appears unbeknownst to me one was released not long ago and so obtaining it proved necessary

I know its not accurate but I keep calling this thing a “valkyrie”, whoops!  This is the YF-19... I don’t wanna get the box, “variable fighter”?  I think that’s it.  And lemme tell you for ultimate reals folks; GERWALK MODE.

Okay but really what I wanna say is thank you so GOG DAMN MUCH for them just going with the infinitely more solid and stable parts-forming method rather then trying to engineer the transformation fully “organically” into the kit.  The loss of design accuracy and/or figure stability and poseability is just... unacceptable.  I will take parts-forming all day every day twice on thursdays over a floppy wrong-looking bot.  And if its literal Transformers figures/kits?  You can go ahead and just not give them a vehicle mode, I don’t give a flying toss pot.  THE ROBOTS ARE THE PART THAT MATTERS PEOPLE.

Aaaaanyway, this kit is great!  It looks perfect in each of the three modes (gerwalk mode! gerwalk mode!), it poses very well for its design and need to transform (again, parts-forming superior, forced full transformations inferior), and as someone who doesn’t give a toss about jets?  I freakin love the jet mode.  Everytime I put it in jet mode I am sooooo closer to posing it in jet mode, just because of how good the jet mode is.  It looks right, everything clicks into place solid, with no visible gaps where the parts come together, simply superb.

Of course, this is not how it works and has nothing to do with it, yes... But who knows...

It would be HILARIOUS to see this trick in the media. I can't say they haven't done this before...

But if it was more highlighted, for example as: — Hey, no, you can't take off here! — Okay, — *got up on his bird legs and went*.

It would really be a moment of moments in the history of transformers media.

(I understand that, most likely, despite all the agreements, they cannot do this, but who stops us from dreaming?)
