How Gregor wonders how anything can ever be done if humans and rats teach their babies to hate each other. It's something I've thought about a lot since I first read the series in elementary school

Both Razor and Goldshard were Ripred’s siblings (Razor a littermate. Goldshard possibly a litter mate, likely from a litter after them).

when Ripred is for some reason naming off rats from King Gorger’s pack he points to Razor and they have like a small moment where Ripred tell Razor seeing him here breaks his heart, and Razor gets ashamed

Razor joins Ripred in the fight against Gorger

in TPoB Ripred says he will have his hands full with baby Bane if its anything like its mother,implying he knew Goldshard when she was a pup

HE also says in GMoS that he still knew Goldshard when she first started seeing Snare and tried to advice her against becoming mates with him. Very big brother feeling little sister’s boyfriend isn’t good enough for her (true in this instance, but still)

Razor being so willing to take the Bane in, raise and love him, give up meals for him... that was his nephew

Ripred trying to like the Bane, but being unable to, and constantly bringing up its other parental figures. We know he is angry that adult Bane is so similar to Snare; but when you remember that he also still shows grief over Razor and Goldshard’s loss, and how much they sacrificed for the Bane... Well if they were his siblings Then I could see how Ripred’s resentment for the Bane could became so much more personal.
