CORUSCANT HCS BUT THE GAR KNOW ABOUT THE ABUSE
the GAR will help any guards on duty whether its giving them a small break by taking their post or catching a criminal on the run
most shinies don't get it until their first to coruscant
its very sad but every GAR clone has some experience helping a guard clone (tho helping shinies are hard to come by as they are kept to the prisons; the hate feels less personal and lets them get a thick skin)
crime goes down when the GAR visits and all but stops when the Marine Corps visits as the Marines take way to much pleasure in beating up criminals
often times to up the intimidation, the GAR won't wear their blacks when they do visit and instead walk around in full armor
the GAR medics will often take shifts at the Gaurd HQ to both give them a break and to help teach their shinies in a less time sensitive setting (well, thats if there isn't any terror attacks or explosions)
during this time, things often go missing from venators but no one makes a fuss about it
bacta tanks, blankets, armor, blasters, medical supplies of all kinds, rations (including pudding cups), and sometimes they'll let guards use their water rations for showers on the venator (though monnk's battalion makes this a habit as they get more water than the other battalions)
the guard shinies that slip through the cracks and are put on senate duty are given special attention, with many troopers loitering around to give them an out if need be
unfortunately, there have been several occaisions of guard troopers running from aids and senators
Troopers try and help when they can but sometimes it just isn’t enough
GAR troopers make it a habit of visiting the Guard barracks to at least comfort them when they can

Forceful Intervention AU - Supporting Cast
The Masterpost for the Forceful Intervention Verse got ridiculously long and reached the character limit, so I opted with making a post for the supporting character cast instead of stressing over trying to make everything fit into one singular post.
Without further ado, meet the cast of OCs!
---
Lissa Colo'Ba - A natborn officer who served with the GAR while under the command of Jedi General Chora Tuteru and the 209th Battalion (aka Avis Squadron). Known simply as Dove (a nickname given to her by the troopers of the 209th), this mysterious pilot has a past that links her both to the Jedi and Mandalorians alike, in more ways than just her service record. Like the saying goes, never judge a book by its cover.
Maeleen Eppa - The renegade daughter of two very corrupt senators, Mae was reluctantly conscripted into the GAR after finding herself in hot waters with both her parents and the Republic (after accidentally stumbling into Separatist space while trying to run away from her home planet of Poluzitania). Spending the majority of the war serving under the 104th as an engineer and mechanic, her loyalty towards both Jedi Master Plo Koon and the 104th became the driving force for her rebellion against the Empire.
Zed Kwinde - A strong Force Empath that was raised as a Guardian of the Whills for the Kyber Temple of Jedha. He grew disillusioned due to feeling powerless in the face of war, as he could sense the misery and pain of others but was not allowed to interfere as that was not his battle to face. Unwilling to sit around idly, Zed fled the temple and completely reinvented himself, becoming somewhat of an expert in cybernetic enhancements, slicing and marksmanship. While he comes off as snarky and selfish, his intentions are often much purer than they seem.
The Golden Ladybug Crew - One of many brothels in Coruscant's red light districts that has allied itself to the Coruscant Guard, due to having formed a mutual respect for each other's street-savvy survival skills. The Golden Ladybug is not only open to clone troopers who have nowhere else to go, but also often provides supplies and information to the Guard in exchange for protection from the shadier folks who threaten the Madam's business and affairs.
The 105th/Petrichor Company - The veteran troopers of Krell's defunct Battalion, who could not be relegated to other Jedi due to their distrust of Force Users. Having initially worked with the 501st to try to rehabilitate them, several incidents involving in-fighting and excessive violence ended up forcing the Jedi to leave them under the Coruscant Guard's jurisdiction, in the hopes that some community service might help them get along better with "outsiders". The 105th was then assigned to work with the Golden Ladybug, who through sheer commitment and infinite patience, managed to rehabilitate the traumatized troopers.
Scully & Erin - An unlikely duo of a Changeling with connections in the Coruscant Underbelly, and an AgriCorps Jedi Ruurian. Scully and Erin both have ties with clones that (despite the horrors of Order 66) have clearly not been sullied or forgotten, as they are always willing to lend a hand to whomever most needs it. Even while on the run. The two travel with ex-501st Trooper Nax (known to them as Hobbs) who they rescued from Daiyu.
Metronome Squad - A batch of clone troopers divided among four battalions who maintained close contact throughout the war. They were ultimately separated by the tragedy of Order 66, but later managed to reunite with each other (those who were left anyway). The group consists of Rhythm (Communications Officer of the CG), Pitch (Clone Medic of the 501st), Beat (ARC Trooper of the 104th) and Tacet (ARF Trooper of the 212th).
Guard Remnant - A group of surviving Coruscant Guard troopers with faulty inhibitor chips, that managed to flee the heart of the Empire after Order 66 went out. Comprised primarily of riot troopers and unofficially lead by Slick, the Guard Remnant has made of the town of Bakkskrash their home and keep the settlement protected with the help of Dogma and Rhythm (whom both accidentally became the sole law enforcement for the entire town).
Sponge Clan - A tight-knit family unit comprised of ex-501st clone medic Sponge, their partner Hugo Espin, their adopted clone children, hybrid clone child Molly, Pitch of Metronome Squad (who at the time was having issues reconciling with Rhythm, thus had nowhere else to go), scuba trooper Penguin, heavy gunner Lichtenberg (who was considered MIA on Umbara but managed to survive by the skin of his teeth) and several pets (the most notorious being Beautiful, Sponge's barghest companion and most trusted friend). They are not immediately allied to any of the many Mando clans whom seem to have taken an interest in them, instead focusing on the Guard Remnant and the town of Bakkskrash.
AI Troopers - AI copies of Fives and Tup that were created from brain-scans that were done prior to their deaths. It's unknown who exactly created these AI copies, or what reason they had to do so, but the experiment seems to connect to one of Palpatine's various Immortality projects.
The Lost Children of Mandalore - Several Mandalorian clans that reside in Epifania, after their ancestors settled there while on the run from the Mandalorian Wars. While the clans sometimes don't see eye to eye, they are united in their affinity for the clone troopers who have sought shelter on their quaint little planet.
The Golden Pye-Dogs - A band of pirates that have allied themselves to the Guard Remnant and the Sheriff of Bakkskrash. While most don't understand why these scheming scoundrels would willingly work with law enforcement of any kind, one can't ignore the fact they seem to have an adopted clone child as the factor behind this particular choice.
The 13th Sister - Once an AgriCorps Jedi and dear friend to Erin, Kera Brookii willingly became an Inquisitor in the pursuit of power. Having grown disillusioned with the Jedi Order's seemingly "unfair" training policies, Kera felt like her potential was wasted and sought revenge on those who she assumed looked down on her. Cruel and manipulative, she is suspicious of Zed's activities as a mercenary for the Empire, being sure of him being a double agent. None of the other Inquisitors believe her however, as they consider her traitorous by nature and far too power hungry to ally themselves with willingly.
Sulu Ra, the Mad Cloner of Kamino - A microbiology specialist on Kamino. He was adept at perfectly replicating microorganisms that comprise the majority of a being's internal and external body flora, thus helping their products to live outside of lab conditions, making Sulu Ra's work an important part of the cloning process. However, due to his morbid curiosity of natural mutations and hybridization, interest in bio-weaponry, and natural dislike of wasting resources, the once highly sought out microbiologist became a nuisance that actively tampered with the cloning process to indulge in his own sick and twisted experiments. His list of victims includes Tup and Dogma, Olly's entire batch, two entire battalion's worth of rookies, and many more beings that they themselves created from scratch.
Aoife - A mysterious young lady with seemingly omniscient knowledge of the world around her. No one knows where exactly she came from, but Aoife seems to have good intentions regardless of her strange nature. She saved Hardcase from a fate she herself says was impossible for him to have been relegated to because it just "didn't make sense in the story".
The Rascal Gang - A group of kids who's parents were either a part of the rebellion or who were clones. Mismatched in all sorts of ways, this oddball group seems to have ended up on the Colossus, and are on the lookout for something. What exactly that something is, remains unknown (but likely has to do with the Resistance).

so in the star wars universe in my head, a lot of cisn’t clones have very bold eye make up designs straight up tattooed on their faces
it was a trend started by an early CG shock trooper called Sonia. She, along with the Corries’ Chief Medic Garrotte (before she’d been promoted out of the field) and their she/they buddy Captain Stone got absolutely plastered one night after surviving their first multi-district fire in the undercity, and pulled out the tattoo gun along with the bright, Corrie red ink they’d managed to get somewhere.
Soon followed Jaig eyes for Stone—which even Fox had to admit looked so fucking cool he very nearly caved and forgave them for it—and a flame design for Sonia that was very nearly as cool. Garrotte got a comparatively simple line slashed over each eye, from the sides of her nose to just below her temple. Fox would have given her credit for her subtlety, but she also tattooed her neck to mimic her namesake, a wire-thin red line around her throat just above her voice box, with a little bow on it ‘tied’ off to the side, just to be cute.
Garrotte was one of Fox’s favourites. the truth was it was cute. She was adorable; but this dangerous modification to her appearance made him want to strangle her because he wanted her to be safe.
and so, Fox had an actual panic attack when he saw all three of them the next morning, nursing their monstrous hangovers with kaf strong enough to stand a spoon up in, but feeling extremely smug about their new ink; their table in the mess hall surrounded by a crowd of excited corries, many of whom were keen to get their own very identifiable facial tattoos. This was at the tail end of the early days, where the clone brass of 000 were finally figuring out that if they wanted to stop haemorrhaging shinies (who universally seemed to think it was a smart idea to take up Senators’ spouses and children on an easy fuck or two whenever given the chance, and were then surprised when they got caught and the universally controlling and horrible Senators punished them for it—by summarily ordering their murder) they would need to present an absolute bescar-clad, perfectly united front. Which pretty much meant looking exactly the same so they could switch in and out and confuse the shit out of the kinds of senators that thought being cruel to clones and sending them for reconditioning or even decommissioning was fun.
So to Fox (the one exception to these rules, as Palpatine had already singled him out, so he decided to all but paint a giant red target on his armour to draw all eyes to himself), three of their most vulnerable troopers straight up etching their identities on their eyelids was the very height of conspicuousness, and so dangerous even with their recently laid down Buckets Stay The Fuck On When Outside The Barracks policy, that he insisted on them taking up desk jobs for the foreseeable future, safe behind the many guarded doors of the offices—a move that Fox later had to admit had been fruitful, as all three ladies turned out to actually be pretty brilliant at logistics and paperwork wrangling; which would eventually get Stone promoted to Commander so they could wrangle even more flimsy into submission. Little did the cake eaters of the GAR know the person who actually turned up to receive those promotions and consequently endure their soliloquies about exemplary service and flimsy keeping the GAR rolling was Thire and not Stone. but there was nothing for it, she’d made her bed, she had to lay in it (though she honestly didn’t seem nearly contrite enough for Fox’s patience, even years later).
Similarly, Garrotte thrived as Chief Medic, and quickly turned the Coruscant Guard’s med bay into her own fiefdom, using her authority to ensure more corrie troopers survived than anyone could have predicted given the conditions and their lack of extra supplies for the troopers they managed to safe from Decom via stealthy chip removals, serial number swaps, and slick paperwork wrangling (in fact The Three Sisters were the ones behind most of those little rescues, and Fox made sure not to learn any of the details so he could claim ignorance).
Those tatts and Fox’s public breakdown were the catalyst for the later famous speech about staying the fuck alive in the corrie guard, which became an unofficial list of rules that made Fox infamous amoung the GAR for being a fun hater and ball breaker but had him loved withequal furivor among the CG as the shock troopers in red realised that he was right; their identical appearance was like a second set of armour, in a place where their chances of survival were so much more fraught than anyone could have guessed.
It did mean, unfortunately, that no other CG sisters were able to get themselves that most coveted eye ink for quite a while after that first incident, till things settled down a little, and the Commanders were able to establish some more nuanced rules, having been able to gather data and figure out the most perilous positions for displaying the slightest scrap of individuality (rule adjustment 5: If a Clone Trooper of the Coruscant Guard hasn’t been ordered to debucket by a natborn superior in a Coruscant year, they may begin to experiment with ink and hairstyles within certain limits, see Base Medic Pat for details—do not under any circumstances bug Chief Medic Garrotte with your cosmetic concerns, or you’ll find yourself scrubbing bedpans) but as Sonia, Garrotte and Stone were the life of the party at 79s, as well as intra-clone community social media networks, and were often seen in clone-only spaces without their helmets on; many of their sisters in the wider GAR saw their face art, and and wanted in.
All too soon, the clone girlies posted on fronts all over the galaxy were frothing for a chance to avail themselves of this absolutely fire look. it was a trend that swept through the republic army faster than any one thought possible, with the only roadblocks anyone would allow to slow their roll being those the medics were able to get into place with fear campaigns of a slip of the wrist poking out eyeballs, horrific infections, and lost eyesight; all of which would draw desperately unwanted Kaminiise attention, and affect their ability to aim properly. Thanks to recently promoted Chief Medic Garrotte, who herself had awesome eyelid tatts, CMs everywhere were able to finally lay down the law about the more dodgy diy tattoo operations some clones had resorted to, and ensure a certain limit on battalion tattooists to the clones who were able to get their hands on actually suitable tattoo guns (one of the designs of which were rumoured to have come from General Skywalker himself, but no one other than the 501 were sure of that, and those vod’e were known to be full of shit), and medic-stream tattoo artists with training enough to be trusted with someone’s delicate and very essential eyelids.
The day Commander Bly announced her gender on the unofficial command chat with smiling selfie fluttering her brand new egg-yolk-yellow eye tats (the motif a stylistic fluttering ribbon that circled around to curve prettily over each cheek bone) was one to be remembered; especially as she seemed to be more thrilled at famed space lesbian General Sekura’s having noticed and complimented her on them, than anything else.
While Stone’s jaig eyes, which had been rightfully earned during the Battle of Geonosis, remained beloved among the GAR, and were widely considered the standard for coolness and badassery as far as most sisters were concerned, each member of the clone brass had their own favourites among their Battalion. Cody had to say his was Lt Sohla’s marigold sunbursts, that she had shyly admitted were inspired by his paint. Captain Rex was a big fan of the ladies in the 501st who had done some interesting designs inspired by their own Commander’s distinctive face and lek markings; while Captain Keeli was pleased to be asked to design several eye tattoos among his trans siblings, all inspired by various types of plumage he’d seen in his travels. Those tattoos were quite popular, his artistic talent visible for all to see on his lovely armour.
The artists all agreed it was a fun challenge to find designs that were unique and interesting, but streamlined in order to be able to get some sort of idea across with as little needle contact with the delicate skin as possible, to ensure such a vital part of their siblings were able to heal swiftly, and remain unimpeded.
As time went on some few sisters still wanted to have dark and blocky designs like their older vod’e, but as time went on it grew more popular to have designs that consisted of just a few lines; enough to communicate an idea and change their eye shape subtly, which could then be added to or filled out with colourful and glittery cosmetics on the rare occasions they could get away with it; generally during shore leave and nights at 79’s
fig. 1-6 examples of the tattoos described in textc

Corrie Guard Shenanigans when the GAR higher ups get plopped into the drunk tank after a rare night at 79s?
Tumblr media
Ahhhhh I love the premise.
For now this is notes. It may well become a fic:
———
For starters they are entirely 100% professional and never ever even consider getting revenge for the way the CG are treated and referred to by the rest of the GAR.
For second, the above statement is a total lie.
If there are three things the Corrie Guard have skill with, it’s paperwork and patience and dealing with verbal abuse and that pays off.
That means processing and later discharging can take hooooooours depending on the person, or like 2 minutes if the Guard like you. General Skywalkers processing took two days once (he may be a Jedi but he’s too close to Palpatine and too fond of Palpatine to ever be on their side surely and not afraid to use that or his Jedi position to throw his weight about. Plus he’d traumatised some shinies who caught him and Senator Amidala together) Commander Cody’s took 7 hours (on Fox’s orders) as did Wolffes and Bly’s (serves them right for drinking without him). Ponds has never been thrown in the Dunk Tank, (but he’s been in the Jedi Temples one once, none of his vode know about that).
Rex’s took 10 minutes. Fox will deny having a soft spot for his little brother.
Tarkin’s release forms were mysteriously lost and not processed. Three times. (Not three separate occasions, three times on one occasion, but he definitely deserved it).
Monnk ended up there along with General Fisto and three other troopers from their squad. Their release wasn’t delayed for any malicious or opinionated reason, simply that a drunk Kit Fisto is one of the most entertaining things they’d seen in weeks and not only did they need a holo but it was free entertainment. Especially having the drunk vode with him either joining in or trying to stop them embarrassing themselves.
All funny footage gets shared but nothing private or personal. Vode are careful about things like that.
General Koon never made it to the drunk tank. Even if he went out and got drunk, he’d never make it to the tank. No matter how drunk he is (it only happened twice through the war) he’s always guided back to the Temple and taken care of. He’s just always so kind and compassionate and once he bought them chocolates and sweets and he uses the correct pronouns and asks for them. He loves the vode and he’s helping fight for their legal rights and only ever gets drunk after a mission with huge losses so it wouldn’t be fair. Wolffe was right about him being a Buir. (He gives the best hugs too).
Vos sometimes ends up in the tank despite none of the vode being able to remember putting him in there or arresting him. He comments on it being cheaper than a hotel and they decide to ignore it because it’s not going to be worth asking. Besides he may be a menace sometimes but he is usually investigating corruption or gangs and works with them sometimes. He’s also fun for an off the books anti senate bitching session.
Padawans never get logged in. They get blankets and help with the hangover but they’re cadets or shinies and that means they’re worth protecting. All Jedi are, especially when they’re in such a similar boat to the clones, but the knights and masters are old enough to suffer the consequences of their actions.
Well, almost all the Jedi have their records kept blank so the Senate can’t go after them any further after the first time the vode in the Guard realised the records were being used to punish the Jedi by limiting their access to things like food and medical supplies in the Temple.
There’s a list of Senators only the Guard have access to about which ones are treated well and which can be left for the night.
There’s also a short list of Jedi who can be mistreated because they mistreat clones. It’s a very short list though.
The Jedi who are most well known as part of the Clones Rights project all also get a free pass including Koon, Kenobi, Windu, Billaba, Luminara and Erin. They all end up back in the Temple instead of the Drunk Tank.
Hound has a group session set up for vode who have shifts with awful verbal abuse and the occasional physical attack because it’s not fair. The other vode in the GAR can be spiteful when drunk towards the CG because of the misconception that they are never at risk and never do anything being on Coruscant rather than the front lines. It’s good to have someone to talk to after an evening of people who are supposed to be your family yell hate at you and call you names.
That got kinda serious towards the end but I’ll leave you with one final fun fact.
No-one wants the shift when the 501st is docked because the tank always ends up full but the worst is actually the 21st Nova Corps.
———
Thanks for the ask this was really fun.
(The whole AU should be in the tag ‘my Corrie guard au’ if anyone wants to read more) and my inbox is open for asks. (-:

Note
I need to share some Corrie Guard thoughts because i will combust if i do not, so here they are. Suffer. (if u don't take hcs thats cool)
- The Guard takes in troopers who don’t fit in with their old battalions anymore. Maybe they lost their squad, or they ran afoul of a natborn officer, or they were threatened with reconditioning or decommissioning one too many times to be safe with their original assignments, so they get sent to the CG.
- Guardsmen keep their armour as basic as possible: if they do put extra detailing on, they make it small, almost unnoticable to anyone but a Brother. Anonymity has more benefits than not when the population veiws you as little better than meat droids, and it’s easier to switch out troopers from the details of more... unkind senators when they can’t see the obvious differences between two vode.
- that being said, anything under the armour is free game. Corries have the highest rates of tattoos, dye and non-regulation hairstyles in the GAR, despite having the lowest time out of armour. These tattoos might range from small phrases or icons to full, intricate sleeves or back panels. I think Commander Fox would have stylised vulptex eyes and ears across his shoulders, and I really like the fanon idea that Commander Thorn (taken too soon, king) has the wings from his helmet under his jaw :).
- i think it’s pretty commonly accepted that the different battalions will adopt little bits of language and culture from their generals, along with the Mandalorian base, right? seeing that the Corries work alongside so many different species, they’d have such a diverse culture base! I love the idea of a guard waxing poetic to their brothers about Alderaanian grass painting and getting told (lovingly) to shut up in several dozen different languages, or teaching one another a Pantoran festival dance passed on to them by a nice senator’s aide.
- So, we know that the Corries run the prisons on Coruscant, and they work with the Senate, sometimes go on diplomatic missions too. I think these are part of seperate sections of the Guard, like a Senate Guard, a Prison Guard and a Mission Guard? Names are a bit shit but the idea’s there. I think each of these sections has a commander each, under Commander Fox, and that’s why the CG has so many commanders.
May I ask your thoughts on these my liege?
I love all these headcanons mwah

Invictus AU Head-canons CG Commanders Edition: Thire
Tumblr media
Thire is (sadly) someone I don't write much about in the Invictus AU. Pieces of his character are shown in passing. I stayed with the canon implication that Thire is a patient man, and that is one of his strengths as a soldier. I took that patience a step further and wrote him more openly sensitive and emotional than clones are typically portrayed. When he's upset, or angry, or scared, his reaction is to cry (when other clones are around or by himself. He would make an effort to hide his distress from anyone else. It's not safe to be anything other than soulless and hard around nat-borns, especially nat-born officers). It's important to remember that every clone is an individual human being, with their own personality and their own responses to trauma. It's important to remember that men cry, and I wanted to emphasize Fox's empathy and compassion through that part of Thire's character. Emotions aren't a flaw. Crying isn't a flaw. And in a lot of ways, Fox's acceptance of Thire's method of coping allows Thire to be the most mentally balanced member of the command quartet.
Thankfully, the Coruscant Guard does not have nat-born officers like the Fleet does. The only "authority" above Commander Fox is the Chancellor and the Kaminoan Elum Nol stationed in their med center. Why is there a Kaminoan in their med center? Elum Nol was meant to be an asset to the clone CMO, but could override decisions made on which clones were given expensive care and which were decommissioned (essentially, he is there to protect the Kaminoans' profit margin).
Thire originally considers his propensity for tears as a flaw (of course he would, the Kaminoans and the trainers are ruthless and like every clone, Thire is conditioned and forced into compliance). I don't write the GAR like a real world military even though I know canon GAR is heavily influenced by real world (particularly USA Navy) military structures. The reason for this is because the clones are slaves, and I don't believe the Kaminoans, their mercenary trainers, or the nat born officers consider the clones to be human at all. The clones are treated as less than human, less than sentient or sapient life forms, and as a result they absolutely believe the terrible things that have been said or done to them.
Thire expects repercussion from Fox while he's a lieutenant and unable to keep from crying after they rescue a group of refugees from slavers. But there's no repercussion. It's not even mentioned. Not the first time, or the second, or the third. And then Thire catches Fox crying in some dark corridor of the Senate (he's been there long enough the motion sensor lights have gone out). After that, Thire goes to Fox when he's particularly bothered by something, and they comfort each other.
Thire and his men tracked down an assassin to an old warehouse. The assassin got the best of Thire, trapping him and the others inside and setting off an EMP. Thire managed to get out, but has slept with a light on ever since. (I headcanon the clones as being able to see quite well in the dark as part of their superhuman/super soldiers.)
Thire, Thorn, and Stone alternate off world escorts, but Stone gets the majority of missions due to his ability to put up with Senators. You would think this would be a better task for Thire (because he's patient) but there's a difference between being able to get along with Senators and being patient with them. Stone is better at mingling.
Thire has a strong sibling dynamic with his fellow commanders. He's the youngest of the four, and one of the early ARC troopers. Necessity caused his promotion from Lieutenant to Commander. Originally, my OC Zero was the fourth commander, but catastrophic injuries on Geonosis resulted in his decommission. Thire handles the sudden promotion well (as he believes the interchangeable cogs mentality).

🖊 but for a character you haven't talked about yet and really want to! Sorry I keep sending you Asks but I'm just really invested in NEHOC 😅
Oh! That’s totally alright! I love talking about writing and my OCs so you are seriously doing me a favor <33
Hmm... Because I love you all the bunches, I’m going to tell you about TWO OCs: Reese and Trapper.
Reese was one of my first ever OCs. I wrote him for Bodyguard and decided to keep him around. He is one of the fresh recruits at the beginning of NEHoC, but by the end of Perception he is a well-seasoned trooper. With the influx of younger shinies, Fox makes a sort of big-brother system. Whenever a shiny goes out, he gets paired with a seasoned trooper. Reese, happens to be one of those troopers. He gets paired with Yeah-yeah a lot and because of that, the two become best buddies. He used to dye his hair any color he could get his hands on, but once he sees all the wonderful things Riyo starts doing for the guard, he starts dying his hair blue in honor of her. Half of the CG wanted to paint their armor blue, but that just simply isn’t allowed. Plus, who would want to look like those idiots from the 501st, amirite?
Trapper is a little different from the rest of the guard. He’s headstrong and brash and doesn’t always think before he acts. He is the unofficial leader of the Tango squad and is always getting them in trouble... which is exactly how him and Puck end up going to ARC training together. I imagine, because I have actually no clue how the GAR works, that in order to become an officer a clone must first go through ARC training. I say this only because Jesse is in ARC in season seven.
Anyway, Puck and Trapper go to ARC training together and it works out really well, apart from them wanting to kill each other all the time. Puck, as we know, is super calm and collected. He always has a plan and he always picks up the pieces. Trapper, on the other hand, rushes in with no plan and is usually the one breaking things for Puck to fix. But that makes them an awesome ARC team and they find that out the hard way (I lowkey want to write a chapter of them going through ARC training when the seppies attack Kamino, but I digress).
Unfortunately, Trap meets his demise along with the rest of my M*A*S*H named characters during the Zillo Beast crisis. At the time when I was writing Perception, I just wanted a three throw away names to go with the one canon trooper that died: Cosmos. I had no intentions of ever writing NEHoC because... they’re all OCs and I genuinely didn’t think anyone would want to hear more about them. But here we are and now I’m sad because I know at some point Pierce, Trap, and Radar are all going to die.
Trapper goes out in style, though. He rushes in to evacuate a building and manages to save several civvies. He doesn’t make it out before the building crumbles, though.
Sorry to end on a sad note! These boys are so very loved <33 and I love answering questions about them. Now... I just got to write more chapters of NEHoC XD

What if one of the CG ghost kittens overheard Palpa-fuck not-so-subtly manipulating Skywalker and goes "Ah kriff. Someone should probably tell Kenobi" because, being stationed on Coruscant, they see the majority of The Team propaganda, and also Kenobi has a reputation in the GAR for being Competent!
Tiny baby CG kitten starts haunting Kenobi! Kenobi notices this one random corrie-red-and-white kitten amongst the masses (and there are masses) of 212th-gold-and-white kittens and goes "Ah, what are you doing here, little one?" Tiny Corrie kitten's (henceforth referred to as TCK) plan is working! Kenobi does that weird pick up/bond thing Siri figured out with TCK, who uses this bond to send a general feeling of extreme unease, along with an image of Skywalker and Palpa-fuck.
This is good! Kenobi is concerned and going to do something!
Kebobi talks to Skywalker! Skywalker gets kind of mad and defensive, but TCK knows from Commander Fox's bitching about Commander Cody's bitching about Captain Rex's bitching that this is normal, and Skywalker normally listens to Kenobi anyway! This is fine!
Skywalker does not listen to Kenobi. Kark.
TCK disconnects their bond with Kenobi and jumps on Skywalker's shoulder. He pushes a strong image of Palpa-fuck to Skywalker, then does his best to imitate the feral tooka kit his batch-mate once brought to headquarters.
Kenobi seems to get the gist. He begs Skywalker to "At least distance yourself from the man, please. Something is clearly wrong."
Skywalker agrees! It's still not good, but it's better!
With people not so interested in Padmè's (and, by extention, Anakin's) love life, Anakin is not as worried about the Council finding out. Anakin also stops spending as much time with Palpa-fuck, at Obi-Wan and TCK's behest. This makes it significantly harder for Palpa-fuck to turn Anakin. As for how shit goes down, I'll leave that to you.
Me: [sees cute fanart] My brain: [does some free association] Me: I have a new AU of unprecedented absurdity.

Oooo tell us more about Pup!
Ooooo thanks for asking. I have a lot on him so this is a pretty long post. I hope you enjoy it though, he’s one of my fave OC clones.
———
When he was a cadet, he was very talkative. He loved interacting with everyone he could. In fact he was nicknamed Natter. But the Trainers and Kaminoans felt his personality wasn’t suited to being a soldier.
The Kaminoans reconditioned him (though something went wrong during the process and screwed up some of his memories as well as being far more of a change than they’d planned) and ever since he’s been shy and quiet, he’ll hunch his shoulders and make himself small and keep to the shadows and out of the way. He can get anxious in a loud room with too many people or when he’s singled out for being different.
He kept his bookish want to learn everything personality, but went from being talkative and wanting to tell people to being isolated and keeping it to himself.
He’s still a very skilled shot and fighter and passed all his tests, but he was very isolated and would far rather sit and read than spend time hanging out with his vode. It was a complete 180 and not much more desirable than Natter had been. Of course he didn’t remember being Natter, and he was placed with a different squad. He had a lot of issues on Kamino, never fitting in. He was always a little lonely and never felt like he fit in.
Not only is he shy, but he’s also 2 inches shorter than the rest of the clones. They don’t know why, but he’s closer to Fett’s height than a normal clone’s. Fix will later theorise it had something to do with the decommissioning gone wrong, the mix of chemicals and the issues they had with it, but at the end of the day it was a miracle that he managed to get through Kamino without being decommissioned.
All of these things are reasons he was sent off to the Guard, but it was better than being decommissioned, which would have been the other option, Jedi intervention or not. (You think the Kaminoans really stopped after the Jedi showed up).
When he first showed up he was assigned to be a Senatorial Guard, but within a week he was reassigned to the ARF unit.
He’d been on shift and he’d been singled out for being small, including jokes by the Senator talking about sending him back to Kamino because clearly he wasn’t done growing yet, and as soon as he’d been able to get off shift he’d found a supply cupboard and shut himself in and curled up behind the items in there to cry.
Hound had been walking past with Grizzer and Grizzer had stopped by the door and started pawing at it. Hound of course investigated and met a shiny having a panic attack. He helped him through it and sat with him and made sure he was ok and knew he was safe and that his brothers wouldn’t let him be sent away for his defects.
Grizzer curled up on his lap and he kept himself calm by scratching behind his ear. Hound asked if he’d be more comfortable with the mastiffs and being a part of the ARF and that was that.
His siblings had never put him in harms way before, and a few even tried to cover for him, but he’d never fit in and they’d never gone out of their way to help before. So he latched onto Hound.
Within a month most of the Vode had nicknamed him Hounds little shadow. He’s always a few steps behind him.
Hound trusts him with everything, including his plans to help his vode. Pup is the last person anyone would expect to be a part of anything like that. The library card and access to reading resources was for him more than anyone else.
Whenever Pup finds something that catches his interests, he’ll learn everything he can about it. That’s nothing new, but since his reconditioning he’d keep it all to himself. He didn’t even remember Natter, but he knew the holes in his personality and shaking hand and problems he had came from having been too talkative. Hound is always willing to listen no matter how random it may be and proves himself that it’s safe for Pup to talk. That nothing will happen to him if he does.
It’s actually helped Hound with cases or saved his life more than once. He never thought he’d need to know the difference between yellow tipped giant butterflies and yellow point hawk moths but it saved Hound and a dozen civilians. He gave Pup the biggest hug and a bag of chocolates in thanks.
Pup loves the Mastiffs. The first time Hound ever saw him smile properly was with them, and for too long it was the only time they’d see him laugh or talk. That he’d talk to the mastiffs about everything, conversations his vode were horribly upset to realise he’d never have with them. Hound had noticed, but the others also brought it to his attention. They worried about him, but Hound assured them he’d open up in time if he wanted, and that if they proved they’d listen, he’d start to talk. There were more important things than conversations anyway, and making sure every member of the CG feels safe and comfortable at the very least with each other is a large part of that.
Pup got his name, as previously stated here, after a group of rowdy drunk GAR soldiers made a scene on shore leave. Hound and Pup were on patrol and stepped in. The other clones started mocking them for being paper pushers and spending all their time playing with the doggies and one of them recognised Hound.
They all started making jokes about Hound and his new little pup, mocking his size and the way they stood with Hound slightly between him and them in case they proved a threat. In the end Hound and Pup arrested all five of them, (two taken down by Hound, 2 by Pup and 1 by Grizzer) and they were all thrown in the drunk tank.
While filling out the paperwork Hound called him vod’ika and he relied with Pup.
Hound just smiled and offered a hug.
Pup went back to that supply room for panic attacks or just to be alone and think more than once after that first time, but was more and more willing to call Hound for help. Eventually Hound cleared it out and added other things so he could go there if he needed seclusion without the chance of someone accidentally walking in looking for the supplies.
The Guard is very isolated from the rest of the GAR, but they try to make sure no one ever feels isolated within it. Finding out that Pup had felt that way upset them, but they understood it and understood that sometimes Pup wanted to take some time for himself.
There’s a difference between isolated and taking some time for yourself.
They’re all fine with Pup being on his own when he wants to be, but they want to make sure he never ever feels isolated or alone. That he always knows his siblings are there for him. He slowly started opening up to them too, and he still keeps to himself, but he’s not lonely anymore. He has people to go to and talk to if he wants to now.
It wasn’t long after he got his name that he started to help vode after nightmares. He couldn’t sleep and had been reading when one of his vode had woken with a cry. He’d remembered what Hound always did to Gelo people, and did the same. He’s not sure when it stopped being him going to help and started being their coming to him, but he doesn’t complain. He didn’t want to.
He loves helping them because it’s right and because they accept him and love him. He’s never lonely anymore.
Pup, as I said, is 2 inches shorter than normal clones. His eyes are the typical amber and he kept his hair regulation cut at first, but started to grow it out so it could be longer and curly once he settled into the Guard. He’s wanted to dye it more than once but can never decide on a good colour and as far as the rest of the vode know (except Inky) he has no tattoos. Inky did one on his inner ankle of a mastiff pup. He has a lot of scars, many from trainers on Kamino for growing slowly or hesitating of anything he did wrong. He has scars he doesn’t remember earning he thinks Natter earned. He also has a few from the Guard including missing a chunk of his ear and a scar on his lip. He also has some scary ones on his neck he refuses to tell anyone about. He’s missing two fingers on his right hand, the pinky and ring, but he found a way to pad the glove in his armour so as long as he’s wearing gloves no one ever knows. His medical file states he lost them in a training accident, that’s all he’d tell Fix anyway. (Fix knows he came from a Senators office and not the training yard, but he doesn’t push. Pup isn’t the first to lie about an injury dealt by a Senator who hates the clones, he won’t be the last.)
His favourite colour is the CG red, he painted little paw prints on his armour along with the typical cog and gear designs and his helmet has similar grey and red markings to Hounds but the red and grey are in opposite places. In an act of defiance he painted the two missing fingers on his gloves red too, the rest of the gloves are black.
———
So anyway, that’s Pup. He’s one of my fave OCs and deserves love. :-).
Thanks for asking. I love talking about this AU and my characters within it.
