ending obey me on chapter 60 makes me so angry bc we still haven’t answered several questions about the game’s lore and i seriously don’t know how they’re going to squeeze all of it in a few chapters (or if they’re even going to answer any of them at all)…
why is diavolo’s father asleep
why did he give the brothers the sins associated with them (how did he even know those would be accompanied with them, he barely knew them as they literally JUST fell)
who is nightbringer
why did they specifically want MC to travel to the past for the “sake of their own happiness”
why does solomon have clear ties and history with nightbringer
what is solomon’s full childhood and story with his friend (that he was too overwhelmed with to tell MC)
WHY did the brothers not know that the MC just returned from the past but still retain a feeling of loss and gain (luke crying, lucifer saying he feels giddy, simeon asking if he can pat MC’s head, even 13 getting slightly emotional etc)
this one might just be a writing inconsistency, but why are the brothers all a sudden fine with the celestial realm despite clearly holding deep resentment and anger over all the shit they’ve done
also what’s actually the deal with MCs powers? aside from the fact the pacts they made in the past have now altered their power in the present, the MC was already terrifically powerful before that (we literally caused disasters in the three realms) - is it related to MCs lineage with Lilith and the fact we possibly retained some angelic powers? we are constantly described as having no magic abilities (we require the brother’s and incantations) so clearly it’s nothing latent so what is it…
also no, i refuse to accept the fact the house of lords has that much authority in regards to the monarchy. why can they just choose to decide to reject diavolo’s ascension to the throne?? why do they hold so much power???
the characterisation of god still angers me too. once again, either a problem with the writing or them not understanding where they would like to go with the story but simeon’s story and brother’s love for the father in NB is complete and utter bullshit. simeon is literally shown and mentioned several times to having a deep rooted fear in the father. his nonchalant attitude with his multiple demotions and punishments and acceptance of his possible demon descension should’ve been enough to get him to be cast down forever. are we forgetting this is the same god who tried ridding lilith from existence because she messed around with a human? this doesn’t sound like the sort of forgiving god where he’d see an angel of his shrug his shoulders at the idea of becoming demonic and simply be okay with it.
if you have any more / any answers pls do tell bc i’m so distraught 😞

Ok so I was thinking of Yandere Dick and Starfire with an s/o who’s has a Night fury dragon! So you might be wondering what is a Night Fury well here’s the official description!
“The Night Fury was once considered to be one of the most mysterious and fearsome species of dragons. In fact, until Hiccup befriended Toothless, no one even knew what a Night Fury looked like because they preferred to attack at night, when their black scales allowed them to blend into the night sky, making them mostly invisible.
Night Furies are classified as members of the Strike Class. They have the ability to "dive bomb," meaning that they can plummet from great heights, gaining speed as they continue downwards, then shoot a "plasma blast" at their target.
For a long time, the only information that the Vikings had gathered on this rare dragon was the whistling sound of its speed cutting through the night sky, followed by a bright purple light, then finally a massive explosion.
Physically, they are of medium build with jet black scales covering their body. Night Furies also possess retractable teeth (hence Toothless' name). Rather than firing like most dragons, Night Furies are able to shoot "plasma blasts" from their mouth. They are also extremely swift and use their speed and coloration to blend into the night sky.
While they may initially seem like vicious, dangerous creatures, Hiccup's friendship with Toothless has increased our understanding of the true nature of the Night Fury. They are highly intelligent, loyal and fiercely protective of those they care about.”
I feel this movie quote sums up the Night Fury reputation. “Night Fury.
Speed: Unknown.
Size: Unknown.
The unholy offspring of lightning and death itself. Never engage this dragon. Your only chance: Hide and pray it does not find you.”
So I was thinking of Yandere Dick and Starfire’s love interest would have one. I’m thinking they found there Night Fuury injured and heals them and slowly gains the trust of the beast. Shh we’re going to pretend that most people don’t know about the Night Fury’s. So I was thinking of a fight that forces Ducks and Starfire’s s/o to finally use there night fury at full power. (Go to YouTube and look up Toothless vs The red death full fight and you’ll see what fight I’m talking about👍🏽)
So how would Dick and Starfire react to this powerful being that acts more like a cat? Bonus points if the s/o takes Dick for rides since he can’t fly! Also remember to take care of yourself!

The cave was a hollowed pocket in the mountainside, so quiet and unassuming that no one thought to explore it. That was why you had come here when you found the dragon, scales as black as midnight and eyes burning with defiant intelligence, its body trembling with exhaustion and pain. The Night Fury had been a myth whispered by few, feared by many, and believed by even fewer. Yet, when its wounded frame had stumbled into your path, its snarling maw daring you to approach, you had done something no one else would have dared. You knelt. You whispered. You stayed.
Healing the dragon had been a delicate process. It wasn’t just the wounds—deep gouges across its flanks, a twisted wing—but the trust you had to earn. Days turned to weeks of patience, leaving food and water within reach but never crowding it. Slowly, it began to accept your presence, its sharp eyes watching your every move. When you touched its scales for the first time, you felt the tension in its muscles, the latent power coiled beneath its skin. But it didn’t lash out. It let you stay.
The bond you forged was unlike anything you had ever known. The Night Fury—your Night Fury—became a shadow that followed you everywhere, a silent sentinel and an unyielding protector. Its loyalty was absolute, its intelligence sharp, and its affection—when it chose to show it—felt like a gift. It nuzzled your side like a great cat, purred low in its throat, and even allowed you to ride it, soaring through the skies on wings as silent as the grave.
Tumblr media
Dick Grayson had always prided himself on his instincts. He noticed things others missed, pieced together puzzles before the first piece was even on the table. But with you, there was always something just out of reach, some part of your life you kept tucked away. He and Kory could sense it—the way you disappeared at odd hours, the way your gaze drifted toward the mountains as though drawn by some invisible tether. He told himself it was fine, that everyone had their secrets, but the quiet pang in his chest argued otherwise.
Then, the day came when secrets could no longer be hidden.
The attack was sudden and catastrophic—a rogue warship had descended upon the city, its cannons roaring and its drones flooding the streets. Dick and Kory had moved into action instantly, their partnership as fluid as the shifting tides. But even with their combined strength, the onslaught seemed endless. And then you arrived.
Tumblr media
Kory’s fiery hair whipped around her as she hovered in the air, her starbolts cutting through the chaos. She turned just in time to see you standing amidst the rubble, your expression fierce and unyielding. But it wasn’t just you—it was the shadow that moved beside you, sleek and predatory.
The Night Fury.
Kory froze for the briefest of moments, her glowing green eyes widening in disbelief. The dragon was both beautiful and terrifying, its scales glinting like obsidian and its eyes locking onto the warship with predatory focus. When it opened its mouth, a plasma blast erupted like a thunderclap, striking the ship with pinpoint precision.
It was then that Kory truly saw you—not just as the person she had grown to adore, but as something more, something untouchable. The bond between you and the dragon was tangible, a connection forged in trust and fire. And as the Night Fury launched into the air with you on its back, weaving through the sky with breathtaking grace, Kory felt a pang of awe so sharp it bordered on envy.
Tumblr media
Dick’s breath caught in his throat as he watched the Night Fury dive. The dragon moved like a shadow given life, its speed and agility defying all logic. He saw the way you leaned into the creature’s movements, the way your laughter carried through the air even amidst the chaos. It was a sight both exhilarating and humbling.
When the Night Fury turned its attention to the warship, Dick’s heart skipped a beat. The dragon's plasma blasts tore through the enemy’s defenses with ruthless efficiency, its attacks precise and devastating. But what struck him most was the way it protected you—shielding you with its body, snarling at any threat that dared come too close.
For all his training, all his years as Robin and Nightwing, Dick had never seen anything like it. And when the battle finally ended, the warship reduced to smoldering wreckage, he found himself staring at you with a mixture of admiration and something deeper, something he couldn’t quite name.
Tumblr media
The dragon landed with a soft thud, folding its wings as you slid off its back. Kory was the first to approach, her starbolts dimming as she floated to the ground. She reached out cautiously, her movements slow and deliberate, but the Night Fury merely watched her with those piercing eyes, its tail flicking lazily.
“It’s magnificent,” she whispered, her voice tinged with wonder.
You smiled, resting a hand on the dragon’s side. “He’s more than that. He’s family.”
Dick stepped forward, his eyes never leaving the dragon. “Does it have a name?”
You hesitated, then shook your head. “Not yet. I didn’t want to rush it.”
The Night Fury huffed, almost as if amused, and Dick couldn’t help but chuckle. He stepped closer, his hand outstretched, and to his surprise, the dragon allowed him to touch its scales. The texture was smooth and cool beneath his fingers, and he felt a strange sense of reverence wash over him.
“You know,” you said, a teasing glint in your eye, “he likes flying with passengers. Want to try?”
Dick’s eyes lit up, and for a moment, he looked like the boy Kory had fallen in love with all those years ago. “You’re serious?”
You nodded, climbing back onto the Night Fury’s back. “Come on, Grayson. Let’s see if you can handle it.”
As the dragon took to the skies once more, with Dick clinging to you for dear life and Kory watching from below, her smile soft and bittersweet, the two of them realized something profound. You weren’t just theirs to love—you were something wild and untamed, a force of nature bound by no one.
And that only made them want you more.
Tumblr media
BONUS : the flight
The Night Fury’s wings sliced through the air like knives, each movement a testament to its power and grace. The night sky stretched endless above Gotham, the city below a sea of twinkling lights and murmured chaos. You sat astride the dragon, its scales blending seamlessly into the dark, while Dick clung to your waist with a grip that was more panic than poise.
“You’ve got to relax,” you called over the wind, laughing softly at the way his arms tightened further.
“Relax?!” Dick’s voice was high-pitched, his usual confidence stripped away by the sheer height and speed. “I can’t relax when I’m flying on something that can dive-bomb like a missile!”
The dragon rumbled beneath you, a sound that could have been amusement. Its sleek head tilted back, as if acknowledging the man clinging to you. With a flick of its tail, it suddenly dipped into a sharp dive.
Dick’s girly scream echoed into the night.

It's like in Brookline nine nine where Jake and Amy have that bet where whoever gets the most arrests by the end of the year get to make the other do whatever they want.
• what if Matty boy or Theo (ether is good Matty would be my pick tho! Or if you like the prompt you could do one for each <3 ) and the reader had a bet about who could get the best marks on a test or something like that.
• And he wins and they make you go on "the worst date ever"
• like Jake made Amy in BNN. But like Jake that's when he realize his feelings for the reader.
Supper fluffy and cute!! Rivals/friends to lovers !
Love ya!!

The friendship between you and Mattheo has always been a roller coaster of jokes, provocations and, occasionally, a latent feeling of competitiveness. His blood boiled when he mocked every time a teacher caught his attention, and you reciprocated in the same coin, turning each slip of his into a reason for laughter. These exchanges never went unnoticed, and the common room often echoed with the barbs exchanged between the two of you.
What began as childish games, however, now seemed to gain a different meaning. In the sixth year, the provocations were no longer seen as mere mischief. Their friends, who used to watch from afar, began to observe them with insightful eyes, full of insinuations, as if they saw something you had not yet realized. What was once just an exchange of innocent barbs, now seemed to have a background of palpable tension, almost as if there was something else behind the debauched smiles and defiant looks.
You had grown up. And, over time, new interests have emerged. However, the fun of seeing the other angry for any insignificant reason still aroused an almost childish satisfaction in both. The adrenaline of a small triumph, no matter how small it was, was addictive. And, to your surprise, that night in the communal room would seal a new phase of this dynamic between you.
I was sitting with Theodore, discussing his grades from the previous year. Both were always the best in the class, and there was no more fun in competing with each other. Someone who really challenged his abilities was missing, someone from another house, maybe. But before they could continue the conversation, a familiar voice interrupted their thoughts.
- What are you talking about? - Mattheo appeared, sitting on the sofa in front, his curious expression, almost as if he was sniffing the opportunity to get into the conversation.
You sighed, rolling your eyes. I knew he wouldn't miss the chance to participate.
- We were regretting the lack of a competitor to match - said Theodore, with a convinced air that only served to fuel Mattheo's interest.
- Competitor? - Mattheo frowned, looking genuinely confused, before opening a malicious smile. - Oh, this nonsense of those who get the best grades, isn't it? Well, your problems are over, because the opponent you're looking for is right here.
His laugh was automatic and loud. Mattheo's idea as an academic threat seemed, to say the least, absurd. Theodore also let out a discreet laugh, and Mattheo looked at them with a mixture of challenge and frustration.
- Oh, please, Matty, don't make me laugh. - you said between laughs, barely able to catch your breath.
- I'm serious - he replied, his voice getting softer as his eyes met yours. - Come on, are you so afraid of losing to me?
You narrowed your eyes, trying to keep your composure. The game was getting interesting.
- Afraid of you? - you replied, raising your chin with confidence. - You won't even come close to reaching me, Riddle.
A glow of determination appeared in his eyes, and you knew that from that moment on he was committed. But before he could answer, Pansy, who was watching from afar with a mischievous smile, intruded.
- Bet on a date at the end of classes - she suggested, her voice full of malice. - Whoever loses will have to do what the other wants for one night.
You blinked, surprised by the audacity of the suggestion, but before you could protest, Theodore was already agreeing, a sideways smile on his face.
- Great idea - he murmured, clearly having fun with the situation.
Mattheo didn't waste time. He stretched out his hand with a provocative smile.
- Closed. Get ready for the worst date of your life.
Without hesitation, you shook his hand, sealing the agreement. He knew he was getting into a potentially embarrassing situation, but he also trusted that, as much as Mattheo could be merciless in his provocations, he would never do anything to really hurt or humiliate her. It was a bet, yes, but one that came with a layer of mutual trust.
From that day on, your destiny was sealed. The "meeting" was already a reality, all that remained was to define who would dictate the rules. A part of you longed for the challenge, while another, more cautious, began to wonder if you hadn't underestimated Mattheo.
[...]
The weeks that followed showed that you had, in fact, underestimated Mattheo.
In the first days after the bet, you treated the challenge carefree, almost mocking the idea that he could do well. Mattheo was always the type of student who killed classes, glued to the exams and, in the end, counted on the good will of the teachers to pass the year. However, something has changed.
In recent months, teachers' conversations about Mattheo have started to surprise you. They no longer talked about their lack of discipline, but about their potential. They said he was finally showing how smart he was - something that, in fact, you already knew, but that he never made a point of demonstrating.
Mattheo, who used to seem uninterested, now really studied. Their furtive glances and provocations during classes seemed to hide a new, almost disturbing determination. Every time he raised his hand to answer a question or hit a complicated question, you felt the pressure increase. He was, against all expectations, taking it seriously.
And, little by little, you realized that maybe you were facing an opponent much more prepared than you imagined.
The months passed like a gale, each day bringing with it new provocations and challenges. The agreement, which initially seemed like an innocent joke, had turned into a real war of nerves. Both maintained a serious posture in class, but behind this facade, the tension was visible with each exchange of glances. No opportunity was wasted for a sharp comment, and the friends around had already gotten used to the constant clash between you.
The whole year was a fierce dispute, with comparative grades right after each class, always followed by sarcastic laughter and subtle provocations. In the first weeks, you laughed at Mattheo's attempt to keep up, making a point of spreading rumors among the girls who met him in the library. With a mischievous smile on your lips, you whispered:
- They say that Mattheo Riddle is looking for a girlfriend. He's been spending more time in the library than anywhere else, he must be trying to impress someone.
The giggles echoed through the common room, and in a short time, the rumor ran loose through the corridors of Hogwarts. The result? The library, which used to be a place of concentration and silence, became a battlefield. Girls appeared unexpectedly around Mattheo, curious to know if there was any truth in the rumors. He, visibly irritated, cast looks of disapproval in his direction, knowing very well where that chaos had come from.
On the other hand, he didn't leave it cheap. Knowing that his weak point was concentration, Mattheo took revenge in a calculated way. Whenever you isolated yourself in a corner of the library to study in peace, he appeared, casually, and started a loud conversation, talking about the most random and uninteresting subjects, but enough to divert your attention. Not satisfied, he began to launch provocative comments whenever he passed by you, as if he were talking to himself:
- Oh, how I love to see the despair of those who are afraid of losing a bet.
Or even:
- I heard that some people can't study under pressure... what a shame.
Not to mention the colleagues who suddenly came to ask silly questions or break their silence, clearly instigated by Mattheo. You knew he was behind each of these little sabotages. The environment that was once his refuge for study had become unbearable. Wherever you went, it seemed that Mattheo was always there, ready to disrupt his plans.
In the weeks of tests, the tension intensified. The psychological war continued, and now, everyone used their tricks with precision. The librarian had already lost patience with both of you, and more than once you were reprimanded for "disturbing the study environment". But nothing seemed to be able to interrupt the dispute. You were tied, each test being decided by tenths, sometimes with him in front, sometimes with you.
And then, the last test of the year arrived. It was from Feitiços, one of the most challenging subjects and also the one that both knew could seal the fate of the bet. The room was tense that morning, with the students silent, nervous, frantically reviewing their notes. Mattheo sat in the row in front of his, and before the teacher entered, he turned around, throwing a malicious smile in his direction.
- Ready to lose? Should I reserve the night for your punishment? - he whispered, his tone soft, but loaded with provocation.
You raised an eyebrow, returning the smile with a sparkle in your eyes.
- I hope you've already chosen your worst outfit, Riddle. I don't want it to seem like a complete disaster on our "date".
He laughed softly, shaking his head before turning around. The game was about to end, and they both knew it. Every word exchanged, every defiant look, everything had led to that moment.
When the teacher finally came in and distributed the scrolls, the silence in the room became absolute. The sound of feathers sliding on the paper was the only thing that was heard. Each second seemed to last an eternity while you wrote your answers with determination, maximum concentration. There was no room for mistakes.
From time to time, you noticed Mattheo moving in front of you, but refused to look away for more than a second. I knew that any distraction now could be expensive. When the test finally came to an end, you let out a sigh of relief. But the tension was still in the air. All that was left was to wait for the result.
In the weeks that followed, the provocations did not stop. Mattheo was confident, always making insinuating comments about what he would do if he won the bet. On the other hand, you kept your posture firm, not showing a shred of nervousness.
- Don't worry, Mattheo. I'm sure you'll love to fulfill your part of the agreement. - you said, without ever letting out the anxiety that grew as the day of the delivery of the notes approached.
When the notes were posted on the board, Mattheo's heart accelerated, but he kept his expression confident. You approached soon after, and when you saw the minimal difference between the notes, your heart sank. Mattheo had won. He had taken the best grade, but by such a small margin that it even seemed like a whim of fate. You, who until then had maintained a calm posture, could not avoid an expression of disbelief.
Next to him, Mattheo let out a loud, triumphant laugh. He looked up, as if he had won a great battle.
- I said! - he exclaimed, drawing the attention of everyone around. - I said I was going to win!
He was not satisfied with the silent victory. No, Mattheo wanted everyone to know that he had won the bet. You closed your eyes for a moment, trying to compose yourself while he turned on his heels, laughing as if he had just won Hogwarts' most desired trophy.
- Oh, I can't wait to see this! - Mattheo provoked, approaching you with a mischievous smile. - I hope you enjoyed losing, because now the night is all mine.
You just rolled your eyes, knowing that he wouldn't miss the chance to make the bet worth every penny. Mattheo wasn't content to just win; he needed to make it a show.
[...]
In the afternoon after Mattheo's victory, he and Theodore walked through the busy streets of the Diagonal Street, in search of the perfect piece for the "date" that Mattheo had planned. The sun was high, and the sound of the conversations of the wizards around filled the air. Mattheo, with a malicious smile on his face, was eager to turn the bet into an embarrassing and memorable situation for you. Theodore, next to him, watched him in silence, waiting for the right moment to pull the conversation that was clearly stuck in Mattheo's mind.
- I think this store will do. - said Mattheo, pointing to a window that displayed a collection of exaggeratedly colorful and extravagant clothes. It was the kind of store that didn't care about following trends, but about being the center of attention. Exactly what he was looking for.
When they entered, the environment was even more absurd than the showcase suggested. There were dresses with giant ruffles, shiny capes and hats that almost touched the ceiling. Mattheo took a quick turn, his eyes dancing between the most ridiculous pieces.
- She'll hate it. - he said, holding a pink dress with golden details and voluminous ruffles. - Perfect!
Theodore, with his arms crossed and an ironic smile, watched as Mattheo looked for more options. He knew his friend was having fun with that, but there was something else. There was always something more when it came to Mattheo and you.
- You know, you're trying too hard for this, don't you think? - Theodore commented, casually, while leaning against the store counter.
Mattheo let out a chuckle, without taking his eyes off his clothes.
- I'm trying hard to make sure she's embarrassed. That was the bet. She knew what she was getting into.
Theodore arched an eyebrow, still watching him carefully. He let Mattheo continue for a few more minutes, before deciding it was time to deepen the conversation.
- Right, right... - Theo said, in a carefree tone. - But... why are you so looking forward to it? I mean, it's just a bet. It seems that you are spending more time and money than you should.
Mattheo stopped for a moment, holding a ridiculous piece of clothing in his hands, but didn't answer immediately. His expression, for a brief moment, showed doubt. He looked at Theo, a little annoyed.
- I just want to make sure she learns not to underestimate a Riddle - he finally replied with a forced smile.
Theodore didn't buy the excuse. He took a few steps, approaching Mattheo, and lowered his voice, in a more serious tone.
- Or you really like her... - Theo shot, bluntly, while watching his friend's reaction.
Mattheo frowned immediately, dropping the dress in a macaw next to him.
- You're delirious, Nott. That has nothing to do with liking her. It's just... fun. A bet, remember?
But Theodore, undisturbed, just shrugged.
- Of course, of course. It's just a bet - he said, with sarcasm in his voice. - But let's think a little... You spent the whole year teasing her, Mattheo. Calling her attention in every possible way. He told girls to talk to her just to annoy her, he did everything to disrupt her studies, and now... he's personally choosing the most ridiculous outfit he can get for this date.
Mattheo turned around, crossing his arms and staring at Theo with a closed expression.
- And what's wrong with that? - he countered, defensively.
Theo took a few more steps, now closer to Mattheo.
- What's up with that? - he repeated, shaking his head with a smile. - You spent hours thinking about it, Mattheo. Hours. For someone who says it's just a bet, you're spending a lot of time on it. That's not just fun, Mattheo. Admitting that won't kill you.
Mattheo clenched his fists for a moment, clearly frustrated with the direction of the conversation. He wanted to deny it. He wanted to laugh at Theodore's face and say that it was absurd. But the words got stuck in the throat.
Theo, realizing his friend's discomfort, gave another accurate blow.
- How much time have you spent thinking about how to provoke her this year? And how many times have you done this because, deep down, you didn't want her to move away? - Theo let out a low laugh and shook his head. - All this, Mattheo, all these provocations... were just an excuse. An excuse to stay close to her, to ensure that she kept noticing you.
Mattheo snorted, trying to ignore the truth in Theodore's words. He took another piece of clothing, trying to divert the focus from the conversation.
- You don't know what you're talking about, Nott - he said, harshly, but his voice didn't have the same firmness as before.
Theo approached again, now with a softer smile.
- I know exactly what I'm talking about. And, deep down, you also know. - He took one last look at the ridiculous dress that Mattheo was holding and sighed, as if he was accepting something inevitable. - But it's okay. Keep pretending it's just a bet. I just hope you realize what's really going on before it's too late.
With that, Theodore walked away, leaving Mattheo alone with his thoughts and the clothes he had chosen. The silence that followed in the store seemed to weigh more than before. Mattheo stood there for a few seconds, staring at the dress in his hands, but his mind was elsewhere. Theo's words reverberated in his head, and for the first time, he wondered if the bet wasn't just an excuse to hide what he felt all the time.
[...]
The next morning, Mattheo seemed to have completely buried Theodore's words. His provocation was the same as always, but maybe with an extra touch of sarcasm. The most ridiculous costume he could find was carefully left at his door, wrapped in an almost solemn way. The box, with a dark green bow, seemed to mock you. Despite knowing exactly what was inside, you spent the day ignoring it, leaving the package untouched next to the door while trying to keep your head busy with anything other than the "date" that would happen later.
The provocations between you continued throughout the day, as if everything was normal. Mattheo seemed to have fun every time their eyes met, and you just rolled your eyes, determined to pretend that nothing would happen. But as the day progressed, reality began to weigh on you. There was no way to avoid it anymore.
When the sun finally set, you knew it was time to face the challenge. With a heavy sigh, he took the wrapping from the door, already feeling the weight of the humiliation that was to come. The contents of the box did not disappoint. The pink dress was a freak, with a huge golden bow that adorned her back, so exaggerated that it looked more like a gift wrapping than a piece of clothing. The voluminous skirt gave the impression that you were ready for an 80s debutante ball, and the boots... Oh, the boots were a monstrosity. Black and worn, with a low and clumsy heel that did not match at all with the rest of the set.
Resigned, you dressed up the best you could. Your hair, at least, was beautiful, and you decided that, if you were going to be ashamed, the least you could do was keep your dignity intact. She went downstairs to the communal room, where some of her friends were already waiting for her, evidently curious to see the disaster that Mattheo had planned.
- This is a nightmare - you grumbled, as you approached, without trying to disguise your frustration. - After that, I can forget about getting any boyfriend.
Pansy laughed softly, covering her mouth with her hand, while Blaise and Theo exchanged complicit glances. Mattheo, who was standing next to the fireplace, couldn't contain a laugh.
- Oh, go, don't be dramatic. - Mattheo said, with a glint of amusement in his eyes. - I guarantee that, after today, you will be the most talked about person in Hogwarts.
You crossed your arms, trying to maintain dignity, although you knew you were already lost.
- Spoken for the wrong reasons, maybe - you replied, your voice loaded with sarcasm.
Mattheo just laughed more, taking a step forward.
- Come on, come down soon. We don't have all night. - He made a theatrical gesture with his hand, indicating that you should come closer.
When you finally came up completely, the muffled laughter began. His friends, no matter how loyal they were, couldn't help it. Pansy and Daphne covered their mouths to try to hide how much fun they were having, while Theo and Blaise watched with the looks of those who knew that it was an unmissable show. But the most surprising was Mattheo's reaction. He stopped for a moment, his lips curving in a smile, but his eyes... Well, his eyes seemed surprised.
Even with all that ridiculous outfit, you could still look beautiful, which clearly disarmed you for a brief second. The dress, as absurd as it was, highlighted the curve of her waist and the delicate features of her face. And, for a thousandth of a second, Mattheo forgot the real goal of the bet.
But he soon recovered, shaking his head and returning to the carefree and provocative attitude.
- Well, well... - he said, crossing his arms and tilting his head to observe you better. - I think a detail is missing.
Before you could ask what he meant, Mattheo took something from behind him and extended it towards him. A track, similar to those of Miss Universe, but with an inscription that made her stomach turn: "Mattheo Riddle is amazing".
You looked at him, incredulous.
- You can only be joking - you murmured, but Mattheo kept smiling, swinging the banner in the air as if it were a prize.
- Come on, you can't miss it. This is part of the agreement. - He insisted, his eyes shining with malice.
- That wasn't in the agreement - you replied, with narrow eyes, but you knew it would be useless to argue.
Mattheo just laughed and extended the band.
- Oh, but it was you who said I could choose whatever I wanted. And now I want everyone to know how amazing I am. - He winked, clearly having fun at the expense of his indignation.
With a sigh, you took the band and reluctantly put it on the dress. It was the height of ridicule, but when he looked at Mattheo, he realized that, as much as he was having fun, there was something more in his eyes. Something beyond provocation.
- Now, make a turn for everyone to see - he ordered, with a mischievous smile.
You rolled your eyes, but turned on your heels, feeling the huge bow hit your back, while the muffled laughter around echoed through the room. Mattheo applauded in an exaggerated way, as if you were at a fashion show.
- Perfect! - he said, laughing, and approached, putting an arm around his shoulders. - And now, let's enjoy this unforgettable night.
And so, you left for Três Vassouras, where Mattheo had scheduled everything. The songs, the dances, even the places where they would sit. His friends, of course, went together, ready to watch every second of this show, but, as much as Mattheo's plan was going to embarrass you, the truth was that while you walked next to him, something seemed different. Maybe it was the way he looked at you, or the fact that, as ridiculous as the situation was, you were about to have more fun than you ever imagined.
When you arrived at Três Vassouras, the environment was full of life, with laughter and conversations filling the air. But as soon as they passed through the door, the bar seemed to stop for a moment. All eyes turned to you, as if you had just witnessed a scene worthy of a comedy play. Your exaggerated pink dress, with your voluminous skirt and the golden bow on the back, made you look like a clumsy doll. And next to it, Mattheo, dressed in a gigantic tuxedo, with his sleeves and pants folded up in an almost comical way, didn't help improve the situation.
The laughter echoed around, and you felt your face burn with shame. People whispered, pointed and laughed shamelessly. You tried to hide the discomfort, but you felt everyone's gaze as if you were on a stage, exposed in a way you never imagined. Mattheo, on the other hand, seemed impassive, with a malicious smile on his lips as he walked next to him to the table at the back of the bar, completely ignoring the reactions around him.
You cast an angry look at his disproportionate tuxedo, muttering something low.
- That was... a creative choice, at least - you commented, still trying to adapt to the situation.
He shrugged, fixing the exaggerated collar.
- It's all part of the show, princess.
As much as you were angry, you ended up laughing at the situation, especially when the buttery beers arrived. The sweet and creamy drink, as always, brought a little warmth and relief to the discomfort, and before you knew it, your friends were already around, laughing and pulling you to dance.
At first, he hesitated. She was too ridiculous to move, but the lightness of the jokes and the excitement of the night began to weigh more than the embarrassment. Soon, you were in the middle of the track, spinning and laughing with Pansy, Draco and the others. Each sip of buttery beer made the dress look less absurd, and the music helped to forget the looks around. Suddenly, it didn't matter anymore that I was dressed like a party cake. Only the fun and the shared laughter mattered.
While you danced, forgotten about the initial shame, Mattheo, from afar, watched with a different expression. He was leaning against the counter, a beer in his hand, but he barely touched it. Instead, his eyes were fixed on you, the way he moved carefree, laughing and spinning to the sound of the music. He didn't realize the exact moment when he stopped thinking all that was a joke.
Theodore's words, said the day before, echoed in his mind. At that moment, inside the store, he had vehemently denied any feeling. But now, seeing you so at ease, with a genuine smile on your face, the provocations and games seemed distant. All he could do was watch you, as if it was the first time he really noticed how much you enchanted him.
The time they spent provoking each other, the jokes, the competitions... all this was dissolving in Mattheo's mind as he looked at you that night. Theodore was right, he noticed. Maybe all that would have been an excuse, a way to disguise what he had been feeling all the time.
And now, with you dancing and laughing so freely, he couldn't pretend anymore. The smile he showed to others was always a mask, but at that moment, looking at you, he felt something real. A slight tightness in his chest that he couldn't ignore.
Without realizing it, Mattheo let out a deep sigh. It was no longer a matter of provoking or winning bets. There was something else there, something he hadn't been able to admit even to himself.
And, for the first time, he stopped fighting against that.
Damn, he really fell in love with you.

Alright I have eaten my mato peach and have gained the amazing power to do literary and thematic analysis of any piece of media, no matter how fucking stupid
and as the first activation of my ability, I'm turning it towards the stupid ecchi reverse slave harem manga, Mato Seihei no Slave (or Chained Soldier if you're not as much of a fucking weeb as I am) in order to prove that this is actually thematically consistent and surprisingly well written
(long pause as I let all my followers block me and leave)
but first to address the two shuuki in the room
WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN YOU'VE BEEN READING AN ECCHI SLAVE HAREM MANGA YOU FUCKING WEIRDO?
Look... LOOK! It's not what you think!
Okay so like a lot of anime and manga recently (primarily isekai) have been including slavery as a thing in their world building, and tho I'm not gonna claim that's the only thing it ever gets used for, it's quite clear that a lot of people are only using that as an excuse for kinky slave play BDSM
and then forget that that stuff comes with like... you know, the horrific implications of slavery as an institution
WELL GOOD NEWS! The author of this manga does not give a shit about disguising his femdom slave play kink as commentary on slavery, this is literally just a BDSM thing and it never pretends to be anything else
...besides, a woman has needs, okay?
WAIT SHOULDN'T THIS MANGA TRIGGER YOU? ISN'T YOUR TRIGGER THE LITERAL CENTRAL GIMMICK OF THIS?
YOU WOULD BE CORRECT! By all logical means I should not be able to read this manga without having the most viscerally negative response possible... except that I don't
I'm not gonna pretend that I know why or how this is working
But I read Monster Musume back in 2015 and it somehow helped me get over my fear of spiders, SO WHO KNOWS maybe niche ecchi manga are how I get over my mental blocks
I would rather it wasn't, but I'm having a hard time proving otherwise!
oh god we're already 400 words in and I have only just finished the preamble. Why am I like this?
Okay okay let us get started as I'll give a detailed explanation as to why Mato Seihei no Slave is about the bonds between people, the ways we bring out the best in each other, and what makes a good dom- ahem I mean leader... what makes a good leader
So for those who don't know the central conceit of this story is that this is a world where women get super powers and men get... to be stay at home husbands
Our protagonist is male wife supreme, Yuuki Wakura, whose main hobbies include cooking, cleaning, and day dreaming about one day becoming a hero
Tumblr media
unfortunately for our adorable little boy toy he immediately finds himself falling through a portal into actual literal hell (technically it's called Mato, but like it's just hell) where he's promptly attacked by several giant monsters
BUT GOOD NEWS FOR HIM! He's being saved by a hyper competent hot woman in a uniform (lesbians going "it should have been me!" count should be at 1 by now)
BAD NEWS FOR HIM! She's alone and soon they both get overwhelmed because she can't go full apeshit murder mode while protecting his soft boy ass
Thankfully there is a way for her to save him still, it just requires some collaboration from him
Tumblr media
("it should have been me!" count: 2)
And here we are at the main fucking gimmick. The reason why all the ecchi shit happens, the silly excuse for why this bad bitch decides to keep this guy at her side
Chains of Eternity: Slave
Tumblr media
Kyouka Uzen (the ultimate girl boss) can forge a contract with someone to bind them to her will as her slave. This will bring out their hidden potential and allow them to fight by her side, turning them into a super powerful killing machine at her command.
In exchange once the task is done she must give a reward to her slave based on the difficulty of the task and the slave's "latent desires"
So yeah, Kyouka doesn't get to decide what the reward is, Yuuki doesn't get to decide what the reward is, only Kyouka's magic can decide what the reward is. Which basically just means the author gets to insert whatever horny fuckery they want into this
Rewards vary from giving him head pats, offering him treats, giving him a back massage, kissing him, to...
Tumblr media
well this is a femdom series for a reason
(I think the "it should have been me!" count is at like a 4 or a 5 now)
and now I'm gonna analyze the ever loving shit out of that ability and how it is the crux to all the themes of the show and actually informs us on the nature of Kyouka's character
no, I'm not kidding
Okay so let me just break down what Slave does here from a kink point of view. It basically allows Kyouka and Yuuki to enter into a BDSM relationship where the dom always knows what the sub wants, while still being able to surprise the sub with her actions. She gets to constantly keep her sub beneath her, while also being magically required to reward him and give him aftercare once she's done
Those two have entered a ridiculously healthy BDSM relationship by forging a magical contract that lets them skip all the negotiation bits and go right to what the audience wants to see
(yeah it's gonna be impossible to track the "it should have been me!"s from this point on, so just try to keep your own count at home)
This is also the author's way of like having his cake and fucking it too
Because that way we can have Kyouka as the baddest bitch to ever live AND have her do embarrassing stuff with Yuuki without ever breaking character. In fact the loftier her goals and the more tragic her backstory the more reason she has to accept the reward mechanism as the price to pay for this power
It's also why Kyouka is easily the most developed and interesting character of the manga, to the point that Yuuki is more a supporting character to her arc
This brings us back to those three themes I mentioned waaaaay at the start
Starting with: "how we bring out the best in each other"
For starters it's quite obvious how that works with Yuuki. He wants to be a hero in a world where he should not be able to have super powers, and in comes Kyouka who gives him both the power and the purpose to achieve that goal
Tumblr media
But this also extends to literally everyone in Unit Seven and beyond
We have seen the ways in which Kyouka has helped all of her team mates grow stronger and overcome their past traumas, some times by the sheer confidence and kindness of her presence
Hell we see one of her team mates unlock a rage mode power up because someone said Kyouka was a bad leader
and there's even another team leader who straight up evolved her powers into a new stronger form just out of sheer love and respect for Kyouka
This culminates in the development of Lending. The ability to let others take Yuuki's chain and use him in combat
and like I'm not stupid, I'm not gonna pretend this isn't primarily an excuse to have different hot women give Yuuki rewards in ever hornier scenarios, with the added benefit of being able to design cooler monster forms for him
and I mean... those are some really cool monster forms
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But that's besides the point
The point is that this also pulls double duty by allowing Kyouka and Yuuki to constantly empower all of the people around them and help them through their character arcs
From helping people stand up to abusive family members, to allowing others to gain the confidence they need to grow, to just decking an asshole real hard in the face
And not once does Yuuki steal other's glory. The final confrontation and the catharsis is always delivered by the person who is being helped. Because lover boy here is the supporting character in his own story
This all leads neatly into another point: the bonds we have with others
Tumblr media
DAMN RIGHT MOTHERFUCKERS WE'RE GETTING CHAIN SYMBOLISM IN THIS BITCH!
Oh are we getting a message about how we're all links in the chain and the stronger each of us gets the stronger we all get? FUCK YEAH
Are we getting chains as a representation of a mutual bond of trust and respect, and get to see those bonds be used as a literal weapon to defeat a foe who is antithetical to that idea? ABSOLUTELY
TEAM WORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK, BABY!
But wait there's more! We got a character who can copy other people's skills and she also grows like crazy with each person she bonds with
We got teams of heroes besting villains who refuse to work with anyone
THAT'S THE SHONEN ANIME GOODNESS WE'RE HERE FOR!
(I mean this is technically seinen but who gives a shit, right?)
And that brings us finally to the third point, the series antagonists, and Kyouka's main goal
What makes a good leader?
So far we've focused on Kyouka and her ability, Slave, and how that allows her to help the people around her grow and encourages her to fight on the front line where she can be a shining example for all around her to follow
She treats everyone around her with trust and respect, even the boy who is literally her slave, and is by all metrics BEST GIRL!
Now all of that good shit doesn't mean much if we don't have anything to contrast and compare to
Enter Ren Yamashiro
Tumblr media
gonna give y'all a second to simp for a bit before I continue
done staring at her legs? good. Anyways here's why she's awful!
Ren is the commander of the Anti-Demon Corps and easily the strongest character in the setting by a wide margin
She's also self centered, corrupt, physically AND emotionally abusive, horrifically petty, and likes dogs in the exact same way Makima from Chainsaw Man likes dogs
This is, of course, perfectly translated into her special ability, because this author loves having abilities inform characters
So not only does she have some absurd broken power that she has the power of anime and buddha on her side, BUT the way it manifests is as kanji covering her eyes whenever she activates her skills
Quite literally making so all she can see is her own power and greatness
AND her main use of her powers is to fly around, so she can be ABOVE everyone else
This isn't fucking subtle, but it sure as fuck gets the point across
This is a trait that Ren shares with ALL the main villains of the series. Each and everyone of them is blinded by their own greatness and is constantly looking down on others
Ren is just the least subtle. I guess they had to compensate for the fact that she isn't an actual literal evil god
And so all of those are put in opposition to Kyouka, whose goal is to overthrow Ren, become the new commander, and destroy Mato for good
The woman whose power makes her dependent on others, but that allows her to bring out the best in everyone she meets
A power that grows stronger the more people she helps and the more people help her in return
Standing up against all these people who refuse to rely on anything besides their own strength
That is why Kyouka is the shining example of a good leader!
Now here we are 2k words into this (OH DEAR GOD WHY AM I LIKE THIS), so what was the point of this journey?
Is it me recommending this manga to people and claiming it's genuinely "peak fiction"? OH GOD NO
This thing has so many issues and literally all of them stem from the fact that this is an ecchi harem manga story first and foremost.
Titillation always comes first over anything else, several of the smaller side characters eventually devolve into just different flavors of wanting to dom Yuuki, and that's not even going into all the pet play stuff featuring Ren
This is an unashamedly horny manga with a very specific brand of kink in mind and when I started reading it that was legit all I wanted out of it
But then it refused to be JUST that. It had an interesting story, fun action scenes, compelling characters, and a surprising amount of thought put into its themes
It's not a manga I'd recommend to most people at all, and it requires a considerable amount of tolerance for some capital H Horny anime bullshit
But honestly? If you're cool with that and want a fun and a little unhinged story you can do way worse than this
So what else is left to say except
Tumblr media
IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME!!!!

i am currently asking about the angel au, pop off my dude
Okay
So when I say it was reader led, I mean I created a world and a plot and changed my whole blog theme for a whole month. People sent in asks, and I would answer them as if I was the characters in the story. Through this, the audience slowly revealed the plot and the world
I posted art of all the major characters, drawn in the style of as if they are being surveilled by the Facility (the research place) in the case of people on the outside, or as case reports in the case of the test subjects
The basic idea was that the Brother gods had angels that would do their bidding on Remnant and be the go between for them and humanity. (The gods were more ambivalent in this version, but it doesn’t really come up) The angels also sort of act like the Greek gods do, occasionally inter mingling with humanity to create semi-deific offspring
When the gods leave Remnant and take magic with them, it sent a ripple across the world forever altering everyone who lives there. EVERYONE was combined at a fundamental level with animals, gaining many of their physical traits and instincts. MANY more traits than Faunus’ one. For example, Ruby is a wolf hybrid and she has the hindquarters, tail, ears, little snoot, and paw pads/claws on her fingers
The angels also left with the gods, but because they weren’t fully immortal they were sort of banished to another realm. A sort of in between dimension where they can observe but not directly interfere. The audience are actually these angels!
The real problem comes from the humans/angel half breeds
Centuries passed and the bloodlines become more and more diluted. Salem, who was a little girl at the time of the cataclysm, is now an old woman. (She’s a snake hybrid so her lifespan was greatly increased. She’s had to watch everyone she loves die)
Over the centuries she was able to accrue a large amount of wealth and influence, so she starts researching the gods. And when that falls apart, she starts researching the angels. Eventually she finds out that their descendants are still around, although it’s been so long that they haven’t had abilities or wings for centuries
She puts in more money, time, and research and eventually figures out how to identify the people with latent angel DNA. And how to bring their traits to the forefront
Ironwood becomes involved at this point, seeing the program as a good way to create soldiers. Salem is just using him, but he doesn’t really care. Their first test subjects are prisoners on death row, people who if they went missing nobody would care. Hundreds of prisoners die in the Facility from failed transformations. Tyrian is the first one to survive, and the process is perfected with Hazel
(By transformation I mean multiple wings, floating rings of eyes, maws of teeth and eyes, that sort of thing. The gods angels were FULL biblically accurate)
But they have their own opinions. They’re adults. They’re incredibly strong and useful, but Salem needs minds she can mold. So she starts “recruiting” children
Cinder, Roman, Neo, Mercury, and Emerald all less than willingly join their ranks. They’re all children when they’re kidnapped, and it’s been at least fifteen years for most of them by the time the plot actually starts
The final recruit is Jaune Arc, Salem’s own grandson. He’s the perfect candidate, her own family, trusting and with latent angel traits to boot. He vanishes from his home, has his memories wiped (the only one to do so since the others don’t have a home to remember) and joins their ranks
The plot begins when one of Ironwood’s other projects, Project Achilles aka star athlete Pyrrha Nikos, makes friends with Raphael.
Salem can’t call him Jaune in case his memories come back, and the scientists only refer to them all by case number. The other angels and other employees (Pyrrha, Pietro, Penny) call him Jaune
Salem doesn’t like that Raphael is getting close to someone else, because that means he might start thinking for himself. So she has Pyrrha killed. This makes Jaune lose it and have his mind wiped AGAIN, this time of all memories of Pyrrha
And this is the final straw for Pietro Polendina. Penny is caught in the crossfire and grievously injured. And when he’s sent to check on Jaune after he’s wiped, he doesn’t remember Pyrrha. So a break out happens, and Jaune Arc Test Subject Extraordinaire arrives on Ezra Ozpin’s porch
That’s where the plot begins at least. I can’t summarize all of it, and there’s a BUNCH of stuff I missed, but that’s the beginning. If you want to read it, you can either go through the faau tag, or go to the AO3 link below
And I’d love to hear your thoughts :]

🌷Hwayeon Miran🌷
Tumblr media
Full name: Hwayeon Na Miran
Hangul Name: 미란 나 화연
Name Meaning:
• Hwa (화) can mean "flower" or "prosperity," but also "fire" or "disaster."
• Yeon (연) can mean "graceful" or "beautiful," but it can also mean "flame" or "fire."
Mi-ran (미란)
• Mi (미) means "beauty" or "charm," but it can also suggest "deception" or "illusion."
• Ran (란) means "orchid," a symbol of elegance, but it can also imply "chaos" or "turmoil."
Occupation:  Honorary World Serpent, Rose Sword Hotel staff
Species: Gumiho
Age: 19
Birthday: March 8th
Height: 6’3
Ability: Goddess’s Grace (여신의 은총)
Ability Overview:
Hwayeon's ability, "Goddess’s Grace," grants her the powers of a gumiho, allowing her to create powerful illusions, rapidly heal, shapeshift into a gumiho or partially transform, and enhance her combat abilities. The ability has multiple layers, each tapping into different aspects of her gumiho nature.
Ability Breakdown:
1. Illusion Manipulation:
Hwayeon can create complex and highly convincing illusions that affect all the senses. These illusions can range from simple visual distortions to elaborate, multi-sensory environments. She can use these illusions to confuse enemies, create distractions, or conceal her true movements.
   * The illusions are particularly potent during the night or in dimly lit areas, where the line between reality and fantasy blurs. She can also embed subtle, subconscious suggestions within her illusions, influencing the thoughts and actions of those ensnared by them.
2. Rapid Healing:
   * Hwayeon possesses the ability to rapidly regenerate from injuries, drawing on the mythical vitality of the gumiho. Minor wounds close almost instantly, while more severe injuries heal within minutes. This makes her incredibly difficult to defeat in prolonged battles.
   * Additionally, she can extend a portion of this healing ability to others, though doing so requires concentration and temporarily reduces her own regenerative speed.
3. Shapeshifting and Partial Transformation:
   * Hwayeon can fully transform into her gumiho form—a majestic, nine-tailed fox—gaining immense physical strength, agility, and heightened senses. In this form, she becomes a fearsome combatant, capable of overwhelming opponents with raw power and speed.
   * Alternatively, she can partially transform, summoning specific aspects of her gumiho nature, such as growing claws, enhancing her agility, or manifesting her fox tails. This allows her to tailor her abilities to different combat situations, blending human cunning with supernatural power.
4. Enhanced Combat Abilities:
   * Even in her human form, Hwayeon’s combat prowess is significantly enhanced by her gumiho nature. She moves with supernatural speed, precision, and agility, making her a formidable opponent in close combat.
   * Her foxfire—a form of ethereal, blue flame—can be summoned to her hands or tails, serving as a weapon to burn and disorient her enemies. These flames are not ordinary fire; they can bypass conventional defenses, inflicting damage directly to the spirit or mind of the target.
5. Gumiho's Curse:
   * As a double-edged sword, Hwayeon’s gumiho nature comes with a latent curse. If she overuses her ability, particularly the illusion and healing aspects, she risks temporarily losing control and fully transforming into her gumiho form, where she becomes more primal and less rational, driven by instinct rather than reason. In this state, distinguishing friend from foe becomes challenging, making her as dangerous to her allies as she is to her enemies.
Special Techniques:
1. "Moonlit Illusion" (월광 환상):
   * Hwayeon creates an elaborate illusion under the moonlight, trapping her enemies in a dream-like landscape where time and space are distorted. In this illusion, she controls every aspect, from the terrain to the perceptions of those trapped within it, making it nearly impossible to escape without her consent.
2. "Foxfire Dance" (여우불 무희):
   * Hwayeon partially transforms, summoning her fox tails wreathed in blue flames. She uses these tails to lash out at enemies, the foxfire burning both physical and spiritual targets. The dance is a mesmerizing combination of grace and lethal force, leaving her enemies entranced and vulnerable.
3. "Spirit's Embrace" (영혼의 포옹):
   * In dire situations, Hwayeon can use her gumiho power to heal a gravely injured ally by transferring some of her own life force to them. This technique, while potent, leaves her temporarily weakened, but can be the difference between life and death in critical moments.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A DESCENDANT & AN EMPOWERED.
The Difference Between a Descendant & an Empowered:
In the modern age of superhumans, there exist two dominant classifications of enhanced beings:
• Descendants – Individuals whose abilities stem from an awakened genetic lineage tracing back to the first superhumans, the so-called "gods" of myth and legend.
• Empowered – Humans who bargained for power, their abilities granted by the enigmatic entity known as The Contractor, but always at a cost.
Though both possess incredible abilities, the origins, mechanics, and implications of their powers differ vastly.
Descendants – The Legacy of the Gods
Origin & Awakening:
Descendants are born with latent superhuman potential, inherited from the ancient "gods"—the first superhumans, whose extraordinary abilities originated from the consumption of Ambrosia or genetic experimentation in civilizations like Atlantis.
For centuries, this dormant genetic code remained inactive, diluted through generations, but several factors led to its reawakening:
• The introduction of Extreme Pulse (EXP) in the late 21st century, which contained a diluted form of Ambrosia and triggered evolutionary changes in certain individuals.
• The natural resurgence of inherited abilities, passed down through the bloodlines of those whose ancestors were once considered divine.
A Descendant is either:
• Born with their abilities activated (a rare occurrence).
• Awakened later in life due to extreme stress, trauma, or external catalysts (such as exposure to EXP or other experimental triggers).
Characteristics & Abilities:
• Biologically Evolved – A Descendant’s power is intrinsic to their genetic makeup, meaning their bodies are naturally adapted to their abilities.
• Inherited Powers – Their abilities often resemble those of their ancestral "god", whether that be superhuman strength, elemental manipulation, or even divine-level control over reality.
• Ichor Instead of Blood – Upon full awakening, a Descendant’s blood changes into ichor, a supernatural fluid that can be lethal to normal humans or possess special properties (e.g., healing, immortality, or destructive effects).
• No Immediate Cost – Descendants do not pay a direct price for their abilities, but their powers are limited by their genetic potential—some bloodlines are weaker than others.
Notable Examples of Descendants:
• First-Generation Gods – The original superhumans from mythology (Zeus, Thor, Amaterasu, etc.).
• Modern-Day Heroes & Villains – Those who inherited these powers and fight as superhumans today.
Weaknesses:
• While powerful, Descendants are bound by biology—if their bloodline is weak, their powers will be weaker than those from a purer genetic line.
• Their abilities grow gradually, meaning they must train and refine them over time.
• They can still be killed if their bodies suffer enough damage.
Empowered – Deals with the Devil
Origin & Power Acquisition:
Unlike Descendants, the Empowered are not born with abilities—they receive them through a contract with the enigmatic being known as The Contractor.
The Contractor seeks out individuals in desperate situations, offering them power in exchange for a price. No one knows who or what The Contractor truly is—some believe it to be a fallen god, a devil, or an eldritch force beyond comprehension.
Contracts are absolute and must be fulfilled to the letter. If an Empowered breaks the terms of their deal, they are cursed with an unimaginable level of bad luck that inevitably leads to their death.
Characteristics & Abilities:
• Instant Power – Unlike Descendants, an Empowered gains their abilities immediately upon forming a contract.
• Cost of Power – Every Empowered must pay a price, which could be:
• A physical cost (e.g., losing a limb every time they use their power).
• A psychological cost (e.g., slowly losing their memories or emotions).
• A moral cost (e.g., being forced to kill someone after every use).
• A spiritualcost (e.g., losing their soul or bits of their lifespan).
• Unlimited Potential – Theoretically, an Empowered could become stronger than a Descendant, depending on the nature of their contract.
• No Genetic Limitations – Anyone can become an Empowered, regardless of lineage.
Notable Examples of Empowered:
• A blind man who traded his ability to see in daylight for the power to see the future in darkness.
• A mother who sacrificed her ability to feel love in exchange for immortality.
• A Mercenary who must kill someone every day or he will turn into stone.
Weaknesses:
• Every power comes with a price, and some prices are unbearable.
• They cannot undo their contracts unless The Contractor allows it.
• If they break the contract, they die.
Tumblr media
The Power Struggle – Who is Stronger?
The question of who is stronger between a Descendant and an Empowered depends on the circumstances:
• A highly trained Descendant can surpass an Empowered in raw physical or mystical ability if their genetic line is strong.
• An Empowered with a powerful contract can outmatch a Descendant if their abilities come with a bearable cost and are more versatile.
However, Empowered individuals have an inherent risk factor—if their price becomes too much to bear, they can self-destruct.
Descendants, on the other hand, grow stronger over time and have the advantage of biological adaptation—meaning they don’t have to worry about breaking a contract.
The Mystery of The Contractor:
The true identity of The Contractor remains unknown. They seem to find people, not the other way around, and their goals are unclear.
• Are they simply testing humanity?
• Are they a fallen god seeking revenge?
• Or are they something far worse, playing a game beyond human comprehension?
One thing is certain—whenever The Contractor offers a deal, someone always pays the price.
Author Thoughts:
• Descendants are the rightful inheritors of power, shaped by evolution and ancestry.
• Empowered are those who take power by force, paying a price for their ambition.
• The world fears both—for in the clash between god-born legacies and cursed power-seekers, the fate of humanity hangs in the balance.

So I may have sort of accidentally created a new One Piece Au whilst starting to write up my other One Piece Au (Fallout). (Both are just in the draft stages atm, it's the first time I have done any creative writing in a while so it may take me a while
The Au (current title Dawn: Den of demons) is kinda a mash of a timeline divergence mixed with time travel fix. Where through soul and time BS, certain character's souls are transported into a alternate timeline through essentially reincarnation, in such they are reborn as demons.
As a result of this, Luffy's family has him having more brothers, two sisters, eight cousins, three uncles, one aunty and a Grunkle!
Demon lore : (it might be a little confusing so I'll try my best to explain it)
Please feel free to ask questions or for any clarification as I'll gladly answer.
Demons are a secret race that lives by hiding in amongst humans, after nearly being hunted to extinction centuries prior.
Demons are the only known race to be able to reincarnate, with some demons still having memories from the void century (however that is now becoming a rarity as less and less demons are being born and living long enough to regain those memories through the Dream)
Modern demons are born with a protective glamour called a Veil. This allows demons to remain concealed from birth and later as they age, obtaining the ability to 'lift' their Veil and reveal their true form underneath.
Demonic biology:
2-3 sets of horns
Tails (can feathered, furred, scaled or carapace)
patterned markings on face, back, chest, upper arms and legs
elongated fangs and tongue (some having venom glands for defensive or mating purposes)
retractable claws
two vocal separate cords (one demonic one human)
inhumane sense of hearing and smell
Scent glands and pheromones
Pointed ears (often furred)
Near perfect night vision
black sclera with abnormally shaped irises (normally silver, gold or red)
Digitigrade feet [walking on the balls of the foot] (can be paws, hooves, webbed or reptilian)
inhuman strength and speed
extremely tall (twice the size as their human appearance) ranging from 10ft - 20ft tall
voracious appetites
There are three known ways for a demon to be born:
Having one or more parents being a demon(s)
Having latent demonic heritage
Blood to blood contact with a Full Blood demon (this is the only way a human can become a demon but rarely crates Full Bloods)
However it has been known that if a human has continuous long exposer to demons, they begin to gain minor demonic traits such as:
enhance sense of hearing and smell
minor scent gland and pheromone development
enhanced speed, strength, and durability
increased appetite
increased aggression
territorial or hoarding behaviours
nesting behaviours
Different Blood Types:
Full Blood - Demons with strong blood heritage (often with direct ancestry back to the original 7 demons)
Rare Blood - Demons born of two human parents (as a result of distant demonic ancestry)
Half Blood - Demons with human parentage or were humans that were sired by a Full Blood (true forms are half the size that of a Full Blood) However, Half Bloods are still capable of having Full Blood young but only in extremely rare cases
Demon Age milestones and terms:
Kitten (0-5) - infant
Kit (5-10) - toddler/child -> experiences first Dream
Cub (10-20) preteen/teenager -> second Dream
Baron (20-30) young adult -> Can now leave their Litter independently and gain mate/territory as they are considered self-sufficient
Elder (30 +) Most modern demons don't often live long despite being capable of living 200+ years, this is due as demon ages it gets harder for them to conceal their true forms often leading to them being found by demon hunters.
Litter - A group of young demons that live together (siblings or orphaned demons can form Wandering Litters as a method to protect themselves in the scenario where the Den is no longer safe or are unable to find a Den, with the youngest members being prioritised in these groups)
Brood - a demon family unit that is overseen by one or more adults (demon or human can be in charge of a brood)
Clan - The Clans are the descendance of the original 7 demons who where created by The First - who was known as Darkness-Given-Form or simply The Dark One. The original 7 where named after the seven sins, with the clans named after their respective founder. Each clan has their own physical and behavioural characteristics often being differentiated by a demon's horns, tails and marking.
Den - the main home to a singular or group of demons, dens are considered a safe place that demons can unveil and relax. Den often comprise of a communal nest, eating and food prep area (mainly comprising of meat) and a hoard pile. Demons are naturally extremely territorial of their nests, commonly attempting to kill anyone who eve they suspect of trespassing. NEVER enter a demon den without the express invitation of the residence, trying otherwise will just result in a gruesome death.
The Dream is considered a sacred rite of passage for demon, as in the eve of their first and second decades of life, the young demon falls into a week long fevered sleep where they begin to recount the memories and experiences of their previous lives (with in rare cases being able to 'communicate' with a previous life)
As a result of being continuously hunted through the years, demons have become naturally distrustful of humans. However in the rare case a human gains a demon's full trust, they can be given a unique scent marker that tells other demons that human has become a Trusted. This mark would allow the human status within a clan or brood, and gives them similar rights and privileges as if they were a demon.
(to be continued)

Dragon IK AU:
LET ME EXPLAIN! So IK is half human and half dragon in this AU. She got her dragon genes from her mom but the genes are not really apparent. They only come out when the person is in mortal danger. So yeah Ik became a Chinese dragon when Belphie tried to kill her. Chaos ensues :)
(Try to imagine her to look like Bailu from Honkai Star Rail) honestly this is all inspired by Bailu bc i can't help but think Ik would be very cute Asian Dragon
-🐧 Anon
i'm not familiar with honkai, so unfortunately the bailu connection is a little lost on me... but anything with dragons is an instant five stars!! (both from me and from ik, whose love of Creatures is at least a little bit compounded by my own)
the question is: when ik goes full dragon, would she be a real BIG one, capable of scooping a demon up with a single claw, or a little one (that still has the same level of firepower as the massive one)
or both! maybe getting attacked is what 'awakes' the latent transformative ability, so at the time she turns into the real BIG one and just kinda chucks belphie away, but afterwards she's able to take the little form and coil around your neck like a little scaly scarf
(dragons in chinese mythology have water and weather based powers rather than firebreathing, among others things... i wonder if ik would gain some kind of innate wish-granting magic as a dragon?)
(said dragons are also viewed more as gods/deities rather than Creatures like their western cousins, so i wonder how that might play into things (and how the celestial realm would feel about it))

Between certain Spider-Man AU's and the current deal with Ms. Marvel, I'm curious how Marvel actually considers the X-Gene to work in-canon.
To be clear, I'm not asking about how a single gene can give a multitude of different, wildly varied, pseudo-magical abilities, but more how the X-gene co-exists with other forms of superhuman ability.
Like, the "current" canon, as far as I can tell, has Kamala as both an Inhuman - which is where her powers actually come from - and a Mutant, but her X-gene was inactive and potentially still is; Xavier believes that her Inhuman abilities suppress her mutant powers, and Emma Frost said that her mutation works differently and could activate alongside or replace her Inhuman elasticity. Honestly, I think that I prefer Xavier's explanation; I can't find any proof that "latent" mutants suffered from M-Pox, so it makes sense to me that the latent X-Gene was kept latent by the terrigen in Kamala's system, and when she was revived on Krakoa, her already-active Inhuman genetics didn't carry the same Terrigen and allowed her X-Gene to be activated.
Apparently Sinister had previously tried to mix Inhuman and Mutant genetics and seen no success, with the Inhuman genetics "overpowering" the mutant side, which matches what we've seen with Kamala - an active copy of Inhuman genetics and Mutant X-Gene being incompatible. It's worth noting that the only listed mutant/Inhuman hybrids on the Marvel wiki are Kamala, Sinister's clone of Scott with Inhuman DNA (he died pretty quickly), and some alternate universe versions of Quicksilver's daughter with an inhuman, which shouldn't really count because they seem to match 616 until specific events except main-universe Quicksilver isn't actually a mutant so I'm gonna discount them.
This seems to tie neatly together the ideas around the Terrigen mists and the X-Gene, relating what we already know with the bits that don't make sense. Terrigen doesn't get along well with the X-Gene; if you have an active one, it'll kill you, and if you don't, it'll keep it from activating. That gives you the opportunity to explore a Kamala with inactive inhuman biology who activated her X-Gene instead, gives you another way to put the Inhumans and X-Men against each other - somebody using Terrigen Mists to "innoculate" the Flatscans and prevent further mutants - and puts something solid together to prevent somebody from being a full-on Inhuman-Mutant Hybrid; they can be, but they can't have both power-sets.
However, I didn't just mention Kamala; I also referred to the Millennial Visions Spider-Man (Earth-13270, not Earth-10182), who had a latent mutant gene that was suppressed by his Spider Bite. I have no idea how far this could apply to the main 616 continuity - and I'm almost certain that there's an example that would prove this wrong - but I think it's feasible that the X-Gene, largely, wouldn't activate in an existing mutate, based on X-Gene activation criteria.
Most mutations activate around puberty, and those that don't seem to activate due to stress. Obviously, most mutates get their powers well after puberty, meaning the majority of them would have already had their X-Gene activated by then; in the event that it hadn't, while mutates normally do still end up going through stressful experiences, it tends to be as a result of their abilities, and if they can't survive using their abilities, gaining a random new ability they don't know how to use probably isn't going to help. Let's take The Hulk as an example; if Bruce Banner has an X-Gene, and is in a dangerous situation, how many X-Genes are there that could help against something that's a threat to The Hulk?

Hey @doodle-girl I wasn’t sure if you were going to resend this question to this blog, but I felt that I couldn’t just let it fade to nonexistence. It’s also an excuse to explain why Creon is an utter freak of nature. Creon basically becomes a discount vampire that can walk in daylight. She can mostly regenerate life-threatening injuries if blood or flesh is consumed. There was a lot of existential panicking for a while.
Not sure if I wanted to give her wings. She already has a lot of physical attributes of a prehistoric bat and big predator felines. I don’t think flight is needed to make her even more goated after mutation.
LUTR lore dump about Metas below.
Creon falls under the "latent" metahuman. Which means her mutation hasn't fully manifested. So she's a late bloomer. However, due to circumstances behind her being a Chrysalis baby and how she was created illegally, her meta genes were dampened to an extent. It's been forcefully awakened at age 14, but she hasn't fully come into her meta abilities yet. Her full mutation won't occur unless she undergoes severe stress or life-threatening situations.
This is why she rarely gets sick and heals much faster. Also why she can endure long, working hours and lift heavy loads with ease. Meta beings have a leg-up compared to average, natural people. Do they still need to work and study hard for skills and abilities? Yes. But they have natural advantages or newbie-gains that give them an edge.
Project “Chrysalis” was originally eugenics project proposed to make the future generation better equipped to survive the fallout of climate change and the possible nuclear fallout. But the government had military super-soldiers in mind first. At first they tried to test out altering the genes of adults, both human and anthro. Less than 30% barely survived; mostly anthros.
The best success rate was starting from birth, in an artificial womb structure. Early experiments have proven that natural births kill both the mother and the fetus. After a lot of failures, political and socio-economic disasters, and World War 3, most countries made further meddling in Eugenics illegal.  Especially the making of “Chrysalis” babies. All bio-genetic projects or proposals are closely scrutinized and need to be approved by all nations in NATO, or some world council overseeing this issue.
Creon’s mutation isn’t quite normal compared to other Meta-beings. Creon is maybe the 2nd “Chimera” experimented on by the same scientist who has created her friend, Hinder; another S-rank Meta. She was really scared of what her possible mutation could lead to. Most Meta-beings have black sclera eyes and more colorful, glowing pupils. Even in the future, gene modification in eye color, hair/fur, is strictly prohibited or regulated.
For Meta-humans, they have slightly pointed ears, giving them an elf-like appearance. Meta-anthros have more vibrant colorful fur, or irregular patterns on their bodies. Depending on some Metas, they might have additional appendages or facial features or an extra sense.
Which is why Creon’s mutation is more bestial. The good news is, she probably doesn’t carry a potentially infectious disease like she was warned of. This was one of the prime reasons for why Creon feared her mutation and being set apart from her fellow Metas. The unpredictable fear of the unknown and how the world would treat what is different is why she hopes to never “reach full potential.” She fears being even more of a monster. Lots of war crimes were committed during her time of service.
That fear is why Creon forcefully stopped herself from mutating a few times during combat, even though that probably resulted in a lot of physical and mental trauma. After leaving service, she felt safe in the possibility of living a normal (in her terms) civilian life. What life-threatening, high-stress situation can possibly force her into Meta-evolving? Well you can thank Dr. Zane for launching a world-wide infestation of bio-engineered monsters.
Tumblr media
Dr. Zane wanted revenge for having his work on bio-engineered, garbage eating life-forms was shut down after World War III. Especially when he was so close to a breakthrough. So he decided to punish humanity’s hypocrisy by unleashing his “monsters.” First they were harmlessly introduced as cute Fuz-Z pets (or toys).
Then on “Doomsday” as he called it, he sent out signals that caused the creatures to mutate to bigger monsters that laid carnage everywhere. Creon and Hinder were busy slaughtering most of the monsters in Acmetropolis, but this is what caused her body to fully mutate in response to the danger.
I don’t know how far in timeline it is, but Terry and Creon would have progressed far in their relationship. Terry was worried after 1 week of silence and no contact after the the Fuz-Z attack. He initially freaked out when Creon finally broke the news of her mutation. Terry would be the one stepping up in helping Creon readjust to her new normal as a Metahuman.
Meta-sentiment isn’t that favorable in the general public, especially in America. Very few places are tolerant of them. Metas are like an ugly reminder of World War III and America’s dirty laundry. Despite there being a few scattered in parts of the world, most will live secluded lives. Most end up living in obscurity.
Thankfully Creon has found support from her besties and fellow neighbors in the Crater community. Crater residents would have THE MOST beef with Metas, considering the Crater happened due to errant Metas losing control and wreaking havoc. But thankfully they’re usually the type of folks who mind their own business as long as you don’t mess with them. They’ve recovered strong after rebuilding from gang and turf wars, and the massacre of said gangs. It helps that they know Creon very well.

Raph's Paper Powers:
I had this idea like a year ago and am never going to get around to drawing it out properly; plus, seeing yet another review channel doing the Frankenfoot episode has reminded me this has been sitting in my drafts for a lot of months. So ENJOY in the only way I can muster right now!
...
[The boys are standing around, Raph patching up Frankenfoot with the last of the tape. Leo and Mikey are praising his skills. Donnie is in the background, hardly paying attention and texting--probably April.]
Mikey: Wow Raph! You sure have a way with Frankenfoot!
Leo: Yeah. Any other paper ninja would be toast and a half by now, but he still looks great, even after all the sparring and wear n tear he goes through.
Raph: What can I say?  Raph just had the magic touch!
Frankenfoot: Buddy!
*RIP!!!*
Raph: Speaking of… don't worry buddy,  Raph’s got ya covered.
Leo: Oh, hey, I think there's a spare roll of duct tape in the--
(Magically repairs the tear.)
Leo (cont.): Whaaaaaa?
Mikey: What the heck was that?
Donnie: Hold the proverbial phone! Did Raph get a new power? I wasn’t paying attention. I’m taking notes this time. Do it again! Do you need me to cause an accident to do it again?
(Buzzsaw comes out, goggles go down, and notepad is opened.)
Raph: No! What? This? Nah. Buddy just gets tape-heavy after a while and needs a paper-refresh.
Leo: He said as if that’s just something NORMAL to do with his BARE hands!
Mikey: Ohmigosh! Raph! You totally have Origami ninja powers just like the Foot Clan! What’s next? A flaming head?
Leo: Never really saw our Raphy as the hotheaded sort, but--
Raph: Huh? Nah… listen guys! This is just buddy's own paper-magic mojo and the healing powers of friendship at work! Nothing Foot Clan about it!
Leo: What? No way!
Donnie: Emotional nonsense aside, this ability explains everything and yet nothing! But why manifest now? How? Hmmm?
Mikey: Admit it! You’ve been holding out on us and getting super secret ex-foot recruit training from Cassandra! No fair!
Raph: Wha---no!!?
Donnie: Aha! Of course! The only logical explanation is that Raph must have absorbed a fraction of the unique mystical ability from ingesting that temporarily sentient salami paper that we confronted on that cargo ship the night we first met the Foot.
Mikey: Raph got a new superpower from eating salami-origami!? Lucky…
Leo: Huh… he “ate” himself a new superpower! GASP! Like Kirby!!
[Cass walking in overhearing everything, she is here for a sparring session of her own, a gym bag over her shoulder.]
Cass: Raph got a new superpower from eating something!? Well don’t hold out! I want some too! Fork it over!
Raph: Oh, hey Cass. Nah, my brother’s are sayin’ I got Foot Clan paper powers just cause I ate some briefly “ninja-fied” salami a long time ago-- but I’m trying to tell them that ain't it and that they’re jumping to conclusions.
Donnie: HOW DARE YOU SIR! I never jump to conclusions! My theories and hypotheses are always based on facts and science thank you very---oof!
(Cass enters, throwing her heavy bag into Donnie and toppling him over.)
Cass: Yeah, no… All of you have it wrong. Dude… origami manipulation is a sacred ability passed down through generations of worthy Foot Clan warriors. It’s even more rare than the flaming skull and footprint ceremony held with Hatsu the boiling tomato soup cauldron of eternal power.
Leo: Wait, can we go back to that last par---
Cass (Ignoring Leo): Anyway, after learning that Shredder was your ancestor during the whole "stealing your dad's essence and betraying my clan" situation… I realized that must be why that rogue paper ninja--
Frankenfoot: BUDDIES!
Cass (cont.): --was so drawn to you to begin with.  Based on lineage, you all should have the latent abilities for paper no jutsu. Kind of like how you all have your Ninpo thing. Shredder lost his connection to all that after he became Shredder, cutting off his opportunities at gaining full power but he still could pass along the origami technique used by his clan, which managed to continue to this day like with my old sensei. Raph here is obviously just better at harnessing it than the rest of you. I thought everyone here knew this already? It’s kind of obvious.
Mikey: Uhhhh…. It is?
Raph: Aww, thanks Cass!
Frankenfoot: Buddy!
Leo: Wait! So does that mean we might also be related to the Foot Brute and/ or Lieutenant?  Man Family get-togethers just keep getting more and more awkward in this house.
Donnie: Not everybody in a clan is related, Nardo--- (under his breath with sinister intent) But yes, we can’t rule out the possibility just yet. We’ll need a blood sample to be sure.
Mikey: Daaaaad! Quick! It’s an emergency! I need all the paper we’ve got in the lair!
Splinter (panicked, off-screen): What!?! Wait! Why?!?
Donnie (taking notes): This is all incredibly useful information… and coming from Cassandra of all sources.
Cass: Hey!? (Instant Headlock)
Raph: Huh? An ancient clan power that isn't the same as ninpo. Guess I gotta learn more about origami, huh?
Leo: With those digits?  Pffft! Good luck!
Raph: *Grumbles*
Frankenfoot: Buddy!
[End on Leo making fun of Raph’s huge hands. Splinter trying to make sure whatever Mikey’s doing doesn’t destroy the lair. Donnie getting beat up by Cassandra. Frankenfoot is just happy to be there. April walking in with pizza like that meme from Community where everything is on fire and chaotic.]

you know what? why does only rose get a latent ability based on her classpect? that's lame! everyone gets one now, i can use that for stuff.
maybe the wind is naturally effected by john's emotional state. like, the wind stops around him when he's peaceful but blows more when excited or agitated.
maybe dave occasionally experiences is a distorted perception of time a la Katana ZERO.
jade, uh. well she– umm. uhhhhhhh... well her power is controlling space, right? s-she can... yknow, make stuff appear, and change the size of things and move them around with her mind... a weak telekinesis doesn't feel quite right, though... uhhhh, okay. maybe she can teleport small distances at first? she's been raised mostly by the game, it tracks that her ability would be something obvious which she excitedly shares with all her friends.
and the thing is, wanting the super idiot pals to kill their dreamselves and claim both pieces of their split souls doesn't mean i dont want them to have powers. it means i dont want them to become gods of those specific things, losing their humanity and becoming symbols, legends, instead of people with lives. in that sense, i imagine that the "full" powers they would gain upon defeating their dreamselves would be different than the powers they obtain by becoming gods.
wait, did rose and dave actually get any powers???? rose was already psychic, did she just get more psychic? and dave didn't even need a god-tier to control time, he was already doing that with his time-tables and cwledscratch! and time travel is just kind of a normal thing in paradox space anyway, what's even the point of a god of time when any random joe off the street can time travel?!
is it that only time players have the power to create alternate timelines, and everything else plays out on a single timeline? i guess that makes sense at first blush... still, god-tiering didnt give dave or seemingly rose any power they didnt already have. that, or it happens later and i didnt get to it because andrew hussie is physically incapable of being brief. fuck this comic.
anyway, back to human-tier powers, i think ill need to think on how to give them different abilities for rejecting godhood. maybe dave gains control of his perception of the flow of time? ...ah! got it. things more related to characters' human traits. jade can get something chemistry-y. the ability to change elements into different elements, like that one superhero. uhh, firestorm???? thats still space related, right? john can get. hmm. well, john likes computer programing, terrible movies, magic and prankster stuff... idk, ill think of something.

im realizing that i never sent you my fucked up chapter one so. woe. edginess upon ye.
Chapter One:
Partitio-type thing with a few time jumps
First part:
23-year-old Aestia Trititaka is inducted as a priestess of the Sacred Flame
Ceremony is carried out by Pontifex Victoria Inaméa and the local Archbishop, Ronaldo Effiva
Present is Sir Eldroy Herres, Lord Commander of the Flamelit Order and captain of the pontifex’s personal guard
Standing beside her is Lylah Ilibria, her closest friend
After the ceremony ends, the two receive their assignments: Lylah to a larger church in the Hearthlands and Aestia to village in the Goldlands without a parish
The two promise to stay in touch in spite of the distance, say their goodbyes, and leave on their way
Cut to Aestia coming to the village of Ambersmouth
Guide and Entreat tutorials through gathering help to build a chapel on a hill overlooking the village
Introduce Mal Cheshire (soon to be bestie) via Guide
Emphasise her as a bit of a weirdo and an outsider
Ends with Letter #1
Second part:
Begins with Letter #2
26-year-old Aestia has become a staple member of the community, several people come to talk to her for help
First battle w/ a strange intruder breaking onto a farm late at night (they ultimately escape and are not identified), aided by Mal
Mal unexpectedly goes missing the morning after the fight
Third part:
Begins with Letter #3
29-year-old Aestia is still grappling with the loss of Mal, has become somewhat more self-destructive as a result
The villagers gather for a memorial on the third anniversary of Mal’s disappearance when a strange sickly green fire sweeps through one of the fields
One of the village children disappears that night, the same fire and disappearance repeats twice more
The morning after the third fire, Mal’s body is found hanging from the bell tower of the chapel, covered in cruel green scarring
Desperate to prevent another disappearance, Aestia gathers the townsfolk into the chapel and stands guard outside of the entrance
Whispers from the field burning just outside of the chapel cause her to barricade the chapel door, leave her post, and venture into…
The First Dungeon: Flame-Forsaken Field
Corn maze but it's on FIRE, BABY
Many paths: those that don’t lead to dead ends or chests all converge at a single point at the centre
Enemies: generic ratkin and foxes that will flee quickly from battle, Embers with high attack/low defence that will not
Reaching the centrepoint of the field will trigger the cutscene leading into…
The First Boss: Tormented Blaze
First turn: summons 2 Embers
Has stronger Fire and weaker Physical attacks
Special ability: Razing Flame (destroys all Embers, augments its Elemental Attack for 3 turns, enters Boost Mode with message “The fire has reached a fever pitch!”)
Boost Mode attack: The Ending (heavy Fire damage to entire party)
At half health: message “Something is pouring out from the Tormented Blaze” is displayed, three Villager Souls join your party (similar to their base sprites but made of green and blue flame), each with one random stat buff, prompts Latent Power, Tormented Blaze gains a permanent Elemental Attack/Physical Defence/Elemental Defence stat buff (you’ve got a full party now so the difficulty is gonna ramp up)
Finale:
Fire dies down as the Tormented Blaze dies
Three Villager Souls each thank you before all losing their fire and collapsing to the ground as corpses with the same markings as Mal
Aestia carries the bodies back to the chapel, removes the barricade, and performs a hasty funeral for the three deceased villagers
Following morning, after the villagers leave the chapel, Aestia closes the doors of the chapel and sets out alone the holy city of Flamecrest, where she will speak to the Pontifex on the matter at hand
!!!!! YOU JUST. GOT THEIR WHOLE FIRST CHAPTER WITH LIKE. BOSS FIGHT DETAILS INCLUDED HUH.
chaotic this is really impressive!!!! I can tell that you put like. a LOT of thought into this! someone needs to give aestia a hug right this minute and I am volunteering

So I mentioned in the Dino Thunder AU that the team has civilian abilities. In the show the dino gems gifted each of them specific superpowers like superspeed or invisibility
Here in Artic Thunder it's somewhat of the same but kind of different.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With the setting being on Blizz-Earth, an alternate world that's found a way to sustain both humans and dinosaurs with the ice age still present. Throughout the technology which have brought a bunch of advancements with the 21st century the humans have discovered a latent trait within themselves.
That being the usage of Aura
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aura itself has a lot to deal with some of the science here and it's inspired by Abaranger's Ryujins(dino human). Both the ryujins and regular humans in that sentai season have access to this ability called Dino Guts which is a phenomenon linked to survival and allows great things to happen, also the ryujins having telekinetic abilities was also a reference.
Here on Blizz-Earth some people don't have abilities, other have something small like maybe a minor mind enhancement and some people have full on unique abilities like Conner having Gravitational Dispersion or Ethan with Atomic Altercation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now with the dino gems when the team gets linked they will receive the respective abilities like in the main universe(so Superspeed, Sonic Waves, Indestructible Skin, Invisibility and Camouflage).
However they will be able to combine with the team's auras creating new abilities. Conner would gain Time Dilation, Kira getting Matter Wavelength, Ethan having Molecular Solidification and Tommy obtaining Intangibility
Trent's is a secret for now👀
The antagonists and other characters have abilities as well and the lore behind auras actually gets wild, can't wait to get into the au. If you guys have any thoughts please do tell me ^^
