I've got 5 planned Gunpla projects (2 MG builds and 3 HG custom paint projects) and I have no idea which one I want to start. It's either build the MG Kyrios or the MG 00-Raise or Custom paint a Trans-Am Virtue, Trans-Am Nadleeh (I DESPISE the Trans-Am version Kits Bandai put out they look gross.), or paint the Seravee Gundam Scheherazade.
(I also have an RG 00-Raiser, 1/100 No-Grade Kyrios, HG Full-Armor Unicorn in destroy mode (the white and green one), HG Reversible Gundam, HG Denail Gundam, Haro Shooting Orange, Lockon Bearguy, 4 other random HG kits, and Omegamon amplified (from Digimon Adventure) that I still haven't built)

HGUC RX-0 Unicorn Gundam (2009)/Full Armor Unicorn Gundam (2014) (Destroy Mode) Prototype mobile suit developed by Anaheim Electronics at the Granada factory for the E.F.S.F's (Earth Federation Space Force). Armor with Psycho-Frame material A hidden secret was the key to opening Laplace's box. The unicorn motif is likely a reference to a series of six tapestries "La Dame à la licorne" woven in Paris around 1500 in the style of "mille-fleurs", it is currently on display at the Musée de Cluny in Paris. The same pattern are used to cover the bare stone walls in the Gryffindor Common Room as seen in the Harry Potter film series. Featured in the photo-novel/OVA Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn. #gundam #gunpla #hguc #mobilesuitgundam #plasticmodel #unicorngundam https://www.instagram.com/p/COS_8U7DXxh/?igshid=csjruqvg55ip

Real Grade RX-0 Unicorn Gundam (Destroy Mode) -> [Unicorn Mode]
Anyone ever notice how Unicorn Gundam is from Gundam Unicorn? You think one of those'd be flipped around, right? At least it's easy to distinguish which you're talking about.
The Good: Full transformation between Unicorn and Destroy Modes at 1/144 scale. I mean, that's why you're buying this one, right? I'm pretty sure that's uncommon for even the MG Unicorn. (Only MG I've ever built was MG Unicorn Destroy Mode and it wasn't any better than any HG I'd ever built. Part of the only reason I solely do 1/144s.) It's a good transformation, too, with very little partsforming and a noticeable change in size and appearance. It's also simple. I feel like I'll be able to remember how to do it without having to consult the instructions, which I was worried I'd have to do.
I like that you're able to remove the ammo for both of Unicorn's weapons, but they only have one set position, and the ammo for the Hyper Bazooka doesn't lock in very solidly. You can store the ammo on its back hip skirts, though.
The Bad: There's probably a good reason why they don't make most Unicorn Gundams transform. Unicorn Mode is definitely the more solid of the two, but its armor will move out of place pretty easily and it lacks good heels so it has a habit of falling over if in a standing pose. Destroy Mode can definitely hold a pose better since it has better heels, but moving it or swapping its hands will often cause parts to compress again, and some of them don't lock in place at all, like at the knees and shoulders.
However, it's biggest problem for me is far and away its shoulders. They are scary-to-the-point-of-breaking stiff to move. And I'm not kidding when I say I'm worried about them breaking since the joints are made using translucent plastic which has a much lower stress tolerance than solid plastics do and has been known to shatter.
The Details: I didn't do a lot. Just panel lining and the full sticker sheet. I did get a full new set of tools, though, and this was their debut kit.
Overall, this is a display piece only. You don't want to put this figure on your desk and change its pose up every once in a while. If that's what you're looking for then I suggest you get one of the HG versions. You can get the Full Armor versions of ether Mode for less than this kit. If you still want the RG, then find a single pose you like and stick with it.
