THANK YOU. I love this YouTuber so much because HE GETS IT.
Okay my a million analyses besides, obviously Byakuya is emotionally unintelligent and they (the fandom) try to make it out as the “faux pas” of his judgement during this trial which makes him “stupid”. But the way it’s presented… it’s not…
Kyo//ko and Mak//oto (if I recall) both had information that Byakuya didn’t have that allowed them to make the correct judgement; it’s actually a pretty unfair trial to Byakuya.
If anything, what MBH outlines here is that Byakuya’s charcater flaw is primarily in his rigid thinking and mentality — conformity to rules and ideas that justify his viewpoint because that’s the way he copes with the world: logically. The chapter does directly outlines his lack of emotional intelligence earlier (Kyo//ko literally said it would hit him in the face), but it’s honestly not really what the trial is about. As a generally emotional and empathetic person, Hin//a’s motivations make close to no sense to me at all either; let alone for a purely logical thinker.
Your takeaway of his charcater shouldn’t be “he is stupid and got clowned on,” it’s a further understanding of his thinking and character as a whole.

Your go, Ms Void!!
Headcanon about Arthur (or Freya??)
Agh. I always take so long to come up with headcanons lmao
I've already done a couple on Arthur, but hmmm, let's see... Freya...
In my world, if Freya survived, she would be able to change in and out of her Bastet form whenever she liked (except for a few limitations like maybe she has to shift at least once a week or something because the curse is just so intertwined with her body).
My biggest headcanon that also fits in with canon is that the Bastet curse was taking up all her magical abilities which is why we don't see her doing any magic in Merlin. She used to have the magical abilities of an average person (say a step below Gaius's power), but when she was cursed, the curse caused her magic to turn against her and regularly turn her into a bloodthirsty-Bastet each night.
Which is why Merlin was the only one all this time who was able to calm her down in her Bastet form. 1) Because she loved Merlin and his soft, gentle and reassuring ways deeply and also 2) because Merlin is Emrys, he is magic and so he was able to reach out to Freya's magic through their connection with one another and calm it down.
And before the Lake of Avalon, while Merlin was sobbing and whispering for her to not let go, his magic listened and made Freya the Lady of the Lake. The Triple Goddess saw what Merlin was (subconsciously) doing and since he's Emrys, she trusted his reasoning and helped with the process to make Freya the Guardian of Avalon.
That's my two cents!

So I'm writing this with the expectation that 0% will actually be correct, but since Sylvie's identity is in question at the moment I'm gonna toss in my 2 cents.
Spoilers for Loki Ep. 3 Obviously.
(A ship I had nearly forgotten about has reared its head once more and I can't help but think about it)
What if Sylvie is Sigyn?
Sylvie says, when asked about her name, that it's an alias. Actively does not want to be called Loki.
Sylvie talks about a beau waiting for her. Yeah she's being somewhat facetious, but also I think I believe her when she talks about her beau. Could be her timeline's Loki.
She very deliberately reveals nothing about her past to Loki (so there's no comparing notes and realizing she wasn't raised by Odin and Frigga)
In myth, Sigyn holds the bowl over Loki's face to catch the venom from falling into his face until the literal end of the world. I don't remember much from the comics, I feel like they made her a weepy doormat/punching bag, and less of a person and more of a trophy he stole, but she was, regardless, extremely faithful to Loki in marriage.
It would not be a stretch to think that a time variant of Sigyn, witnessed that the Loki she loved was pruned by the TVA (or otherwise taken from her), and now she's out to exact her revenge and/or get her Loki back.
(further thoughts that I'm genuinely uncertain if they're even remotely close to any marvel canon. i haven't thought this much about sigyn in 8 years, so I'm probably forgetting a lot of things)
It looks like her training was more focused on weapons/fighting. Pretty sure Sigyn is Freya's daughter. Freya, leader of the Valkryies, would have raised her child(ren) to also be warriors. Freya also most likely died when the valkryies battled Hela, the timeline gets a little iffy, but it's entirely possible that's why she doesn't remember much of her mother, if Freya died when Sigyn was young.
If she is Sigyn, and hasn't/can't shapeshift her face, it's entirely possible that in the Sacred Timeline, she and Loki never meet, which is why he doesn't recognize her. Providing further impetus for her to destroy the TVA and the sacred timeline so she can have her Loki (and I'm pretty sure they're supposed to have kids too)

Chris Evans Fic: Outnumbered (2 of 2)
Okay, here we go! Part 2, and probably the last thing I’ll put in the ‘Four Kids’ verse for a while, just so I can get my other WIPs finished off.
Just a warning, this is very, very NSFW 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Enjoy!
*** The next morning, you awoke fairly late after the patchy sleep you’d had during the night. Even so, this was unusual for you since the kids didn’t tend to sleep in. The bed was empty apart from you but Chris’ side still had that tell tale warmth that indicated he hadn’t been gone long.
You still felt exhausted from the stress of yesterday and its ensuing argument, Chris’ words niggling in the back of your mind as you hauled yourself upright and threw your legs over the side of the mattress, planting your feet on the soft carpet. Your eyes were heavy and the groggy fog of lack of sleep swirled around you.
Part of you didn’t want to go downstairs at all, wanted to leave Chris with the kids and hide upstairs all day, just for an opportunity to regain some semblance of sanity. But, you knew that eventually one or two or all of them would come looking for you. So after a quick visit to the bathroom, you pulled your thin robe over your short pyjama set and padded down the staircase, fluffy slippers adorning your feet.
And what you saw downstairs in the kitchen surprised you a little, it was true. The kids were sat at the breakfast table, each on a stool apart from Connor who was in his high chair, watching intently and with amusement, their father flipping Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes across the kitchen island, applauding and laughing when he managed it. All turned to look at you as you entered.
‘Morning Momma!’ Freya was the first to call out. ‘Daddy’s making us pancakes!’
‘I can see!’ You answered her back animatedly. You continued over to him and, with a hand gently and tentatively resting on his lower back, spoke quietly in his ear. ‘It’s been a long time since you did this.’
He at least had the decency to look a little sheepish as he admitted, ‘I think I’ve probably got some making up to do today.’
You tilted your chin upwards in acknowledgement just as Grace called out to you, ‘Sit down with us mom, you can have pancakes too!’
'Should you be eating pancakes this morning baby?’ You referred to her sickness bug from the previous day. Moving over to her, you placed a hand on her forehead, judging her temperature.
'I feel better today,’ she assured you desperately, not wanting to miss out on pancakes.
'Hmm, your temperature has come down and you’ve got some colour back in your face. Are you sure you haven’t felt sick this morning?’
'I’m sure! Promise!’
'Okay then, but go easy. Have a banana first.’
Grace obediently hopped down from her stool to retrieve a banana from the fruit bowl as you sat down on the spare stool, bemusedly watching the elaborate performance Chris was putting on for the kids and feeling the tension that had been plaguing you ebbing away somewhat. How could you stay angry at him when he was wearing a chef’s hat and an apron that had 'No. 1 Grillmaster’ on it? He had been born to be a father and he was excellent at it. No one could look at him now and think he regretted his family.
The kids watched the show and each time a pancake was successful, he placed it in the warming drawer of the oven and when he’d used up all the batter, he served them on to plates and laid all manner of fruit, yoghurt and syrup accompaniments on the island so that the children could help themselves.
You all sat down to eat together, Chris chopping up Connor’s pancakes and fruit on his high chair tray so that he could enthusiastically eat his breakfast with his fingers. As the kids chatted happily, you couldn’t help but feel a little… cynical really. All of yesterday’s chaos seemed to have vanished and there was a tiny part of you that resented how easy he made it look, how it made everything that happened yesterday seem completely trivial.
Part way through, Mason piped up, 'Dad, can we tell mom about her surprise?’
You raised an eyebrow and looked at Chris quickly, 'Surprise?’
Chris just gave you a small, and, what you interpreted as an ever-so-slightly smug smile, 'If you want to, go ahead buddy.’
'So, after breakfast today, Dad said we can go bowling but we thought that you might like some relax time so you’re going to the spa. I heard Dad on the phone this morning and he’s booked you some treatments!’ Mason was clearly excited about bowling, having seemingly forgotten his feelings of being left out from yesterday.
'I’m going on a spa afternoon? And you’re all going bowling together?’ You indicated to the five of them with your index finger. Five identical smiling nods bobbed in front of you.
'Right,’ you tried to keep your voice light as you wiped your hands on a napkin and laid your knife and fork atop your empty plate, 'I better go and get ready then.’
You pushed your chair back, turned on your heel and left without another word, fleeing upstairs where you could be frustrated in private.
But, it wasn’t to be. Chris followed you shortly after, having picked up on your frosty attitude.
'Babe, help me out here, is there something going on? You seem…not happy with anything this morning. Did you want to come bowling with us? I thought you would have liked a few hours to yourself today.’
You were pacing the bedroom, getting more and more worked up as you went, fists clenched at your sides.
And then it all came tumbling out of your mouth in a torrent that you just couldn’t halt.
'It’s just so easy for you, isn’t it?! You make them some pancakes, take them out for the day, keep them happily entertained for an afternoon. Being Dad is easy peasy.’
'I’m always the moody, stressed out one that’s snapping at them because I’m dealing with the day to day shit. All their bickering, the days when they’re naughty, their strops, their illnesses, their grumpiness when they’ve not slept well, the school runs, the lunches, the laundry. I basically work for them, and you just get to swan in and do the fun stuff.’
'It’s like everything I go through everyday, trying to raise four kids, is just trivial when you’re around, because you don’t see it. You had four perfect little cherubs sat in front of you this morning. You came in last night and a couple of words from you had them all sorted and tucked in bed asleep after I’d been trying to do the same thing, without success, for a solid hour.’
'I feel like - like - like a maid in this house more than a mom or a wife!’
You sat on the edge of the bed as you finished your tirade, worn out from letting go of all the bottled up frustration.
Chris was still and silent for a moment, probably trying to process what he’d just heard, before slowly sitting down next to you.
'I… had no idea you felt that way,’ he admitted quietly.
You didn’t know what to say to that without causing an argument, so you stayed quiet.
'I’m sorry that I’ve unknowingly contributed to this,’ he continued, 'I thought I was doing the right thing. I thought we all needed some cheering up today.’
'It’s not just today, Chris,’ you told him wearily, 'Whether we meant to or not, we’ve somehow stopped being a parenting team and fallen into the trap of being good cop and bad cop.’
His hand snaked to yours, clasping it firmly, 'I guess I thought you had it all covered. You’re so good at being a mom that the more kids we added to the family, the less you needed me to fix things, because we’d done it all before.’
You shook your head violently, 'No, I don’t need things fixing all the time, but I still need your support, and not just when they’re being little angels.’
Chris went into solving mode, 'So how do we get back on track then? What’s the solution? Do I need to work less now? Projects that are closer to home and that take me away less?’
You shook your head, 'I’ve never wanted you to sacrifice your career for us.’
'Baby, it’s not a sacrifice. This is our family we’re talking about. Number one priority.
But you think you knew what the solution was. It wasn’t the family or the kids that were the problem, it was you.
'I actually think it’s me that needs to make a change,’ you began, and Chris squeezed your hand tighter, 'I think I need to go back to work. When we go back to LA after the summer.’
You could see the cogs turning in the expression on Chris’ face and he began nodding slowly, 'It makes sense. Connor’s in nursery now, the rest are in school. We can get a nanny. I can cut back a bit so there’s more wiggle room in our schedules….’
'I think I just need that little bit of my identity back and I would have gone back earlier, except we kept having more kids and it never seemed the right time.’
'Sweetheart, if this is what you want to do, then I’m on board one hundred per cent. You want to go back to Victoria’s Secret?’
You nodded, 'I’ve kept my contacts there. I’m not sure in what capacity they’ll have me back as a model, but I’m still relevant enough, thanks to my Hollywood husband,’ you nudged him with your shoulder, 'to be able to launch my own underwear line in collaboration if I wanted. There’s ambassador roles too, presenting roles, there’s a lot of stuff I could turn my hand to. My walking days might be over but photo shoots and catalogues will probably still be open to me.’
'Babe, you’re hot as hell, if you wanted to walk, I think they’d put you on that runway before you could blink. You can do anything you want. Call them tomorrow and get some meetings set up for when we’re back in LA. I’ll start putting the feelers out for childcare and I’ll talk with my lot about what the next couple of years are going to look like for me.’
You felt like a huge weight had been lifted from your shoulders and you leant into him.
'Thank you,’ you whispered.
'There’s nothing to thank me for. I just wish I’d picked up on this.’
'You’re not a mind reader, Chris. And I think I’ve only truly realised it myself in the last couple of days,’ you tilted your head to look up at him from where you were cradled against his shoulder and he smiled down at you before pressing his lips to yours, both of you lighter and happier now the air had been cleared and you had a plan in place.
Just then, a loud crash that made you jump followed by a raucous laughter was heard from downstairs.
'Jesus, what have they done now?’ you smiled against his mouth.
'I’ll go and sort them out. I’ll do my best to be bad cop,’ he gave your hand a final squeeze before standing up from the bed, 'So did you want to go to the spa or did you want to come bowling?’
'Are you joking? Babe, they are all yours today. I literally can’t wait to be lay down in silence with a hot, young, shirtless man rubbing oil into my skin,’ you grinned at him as you headed towards the bathroom.
'Damnit, I should have thought this through,’ Chris joked as he left, but lifted the hem of his shirt up as he backed out of the room to show his still-impressive abs, raising one eyebrow in question, 'Hotter than this?’
'Tease. You know I can’t do anything about it now,’ the loud laughter of your children was still ringing through the house.
'Later,’ he promised in a whisper with a wink before fleeing the room to go and assess the situation downstairs.
You smiled to yourself as you climbed into the shower, his promise dancing around your mind.
***
The spa had been blissful and just what you needed after the emotional rollercoaster of yesterday and that morning. You felt rejuvenated and positive as you climbed in your car to drive yourself home, ready to get home and spend an evening with your husband and your children. It was a warm evening and, with Chris’ 'No. 1 Grillmaster’ apron still in mind, you thought getting Chris to fire up the outdoor grill on the patio would be the best way to finish off the weekend.
But when you stepped through the front door, it seemed extraordinarily quiet in the house. Thinking the kids and Chris might be outside, you walked through to the kitchen to check the garden out of the back doors. You found, however, Chris in the kitchen by himself, sautéing something in a pan over the stove and, looking out of the floor to ceiling bi-fold doors, you could see there were no children in the back yard. Where were they?
'Hey sweetheart,’ you greeted him, confusion filtering through your voice as you approached him. You were close enough now to see the chicken pieces he was manoeuvring around the heavy-bottomed pan. There was a pot of spaghetti bubbling away on the back of the stove too.
'Hey baby,’ he pulled you towards his side, free arm that wasn’t cooking chicken wrapping around your shoulders. He planted a kiss on your forehead as you slid a hand across his back, the other resting against his chest, 'I didn’t hear you come in.’
'Did you have a good day? Did you leave the kids at the bowling alley?’ you joked.
'I was close, but no, I brought them all home in one piece,’ he smirked back.
'Oh.’ you were no closer to finding out what was going on, 'So where are they? It’s unnervingly quiet here.’
'Well, after bowling, we came back and packed up some overnight things and now they’re all at my mom’s,’ he announced casually, still moving chicken around the pan.
'All of them?’ you clarified, pulling back a little to look at his face and check he wasn’t joking. 'There are no kids in this house?’
'Nope,’ he popped the P, clearly proud of himself, 'Not a single child. All night.’
'And you’re cooking? For us?’ Hope and excitement filled your voice.
'Yep. It’s just carbonara but I figured we needed some fuel food to keep us going.’
You knew where he was going with this but decided to play dumb as you innocently enquired, 'Keep us going at what?’
He pulled his attention away from his cooking then , grinning cheekily, 'Just you wait, Mrs Evans. Now go and sit at the table in the dining room while I plate this up. The sooner we eat, the sooner I can get you naked for the best make up sex you’ve ever had in your life.’
***
The food had been delicious, and Chris had laid the table so that you were seated next to each other on a corner. He’d set out flowers and candles and he ate with one hand resting on your thigh. Occasionally, he would lean in close and tuck a stray piece of hair behind your ear or use his thumb to wipe away a spot of creamy sauce from the corner of your mouth, but he was in constant contact with you throughout the meal.
Chris was, it had to be said, always incredibly tactile but at this moment in particular, his touches were just an extended round of foreplay. The atmosphere was tense, but not like it had been yesterday and this morning. The air was filled with anticipation. Excitement bubbled in your lower belly as you ate and touched and chatted and flirted.
When you had finished, Chris carried out the plates and the cutlery back to the kitchen, determined you weren’t going to do a single thing, but you followed him out quietly and wrapped your arms around his middle, your front flush against his back, as he stacked the items on the counter near the sink.
'Thank you,’ you mumbled into his back. You could smell the light scent of his cologne through the soft material of his shirt.
He turned around in your arms, lifting them up by the wrists to wrap around his neck. His own hands gripped your hips and pulled you gently to him as he leaned against the counter.
'You’re more than welcome,’ he drew his face close to yours, mouth hovering only an inch from your lips as he spoke, before closing the gap between you. Your fingers creeped up the back of his neck and into his hair, keeping him pressed to you, as you kissed him fiercely, pouring all of the emotion of the last couple of days into it.
His tongue swept your bottom lip lightly and his hands began to wander over the material of the snug tshirt dress you wore, caressing your lower back and down to cup your backside, all the while his lips covering yours in a perfect fit.
It wasn’t long before his fingers began to tug the material of your dress upwards to reveal the skin of your upper thighs and your ass and his mouth began to pepper kisses down your neck.
You sneaked your own fingers under the hem of his shirt and ran them lightly over his back and around to his ribs as he left hot, open mouthed kisses just under your ear, the sensation sending tingles down your spine.
Your hands went up and up until his got the idea and pulled back to reach behind and remove his shirt over his head with one hand.
'Better?’ he grinned as you ran your fingers up and over his defined chest.
'Much.’
You hooked a hand around his neck and pulled his mouth back to yours, arching your back into him and pressing your hips to his as you went.
He walked you backwards until you bumped the kitchen island behind you and he pinned you there with his hips, his hands gripping the edge of the counter, your hands gripping his biceps. You could feel your body temperature rising rapidly and you still had all your clothing on.
When his fingers went back to your lower half, running a pattern from your ass to your back to your hips, you decided you just wanted it all gone now.
'Take it off,’ you demanded against Chris’ mouth, 'All of it.’
'Yes ma'am,’ he cheekily saluted before shimmying his hands under the material of your dress and sliding it up and up before tugging it over your head. You shook your hair out, feeling freer, and Chris instantly dropped to his knees, running his mouth and nose along the lace of your panties from hip to hip, teasing you. His palms gripped your hips, keeping you firmly in place as his mouth finally dipped lower, spreading heat through your core.
He hooked his index fingers in either side of the lace and pulled the material down, past your knees and then lifted up each leg by the ankle so he could unhook them from your feet, cool air hitting where you had been so warm and wet.
Chris nudged your knees further apart to give himself better access and ran one teasing finger from your clit to your entrance and back again, spreading your wetness with it. Circling your clit once, twice, he then went lower, dipping a finger into your heat and back out again, setting up a maddening circuit. He gazed at you, fascinated, watching his finger trail from place to place, building your pleasure every time he passed Go.
You threaded your fingers into his hair and closed your eyes, pulling your bottom lip into your mouth as you focused on Chris’ ministrations and the coil slowly unraveling low in your abdomen. Eventually, he added a second finger inside you and set up a lazy, pulsing rhythm, changing the angle of penetration ever so slightly each time, building the sensation, hitting different nerve endings with each slide.
Your breath was hitching in gasps and when his mouth closed over your clit, you barely needed three swirls of his tongue before your legs were shaking and you were clamping involuntarily around his fingers.
'Oh, I wish I hadn’t waited until the last second to put my mouth on you. I want to taste you some more.’
You were still catching your breath, your muscles still pulsing around the fingers inside you when he withdrew from you quickly, stood up and lifted you up by the hips so that your bare ass landed on the cool surface of the counter. He pushed you back so that the V of your legs was level with his mouth when he leaned over and, cupping your ass with his hands to tilt your hips towards him, his mouth was on you again, this time mercilessly fast.
'Chris - I can’t - I’ve only just -’ you tried to sit up but your jelly-like muscles wouldn’t comply.
'You can baby, you can come for me again,’ the reverberations of his voice rumbled through your centre, igniting the beginnings of a new flame inside you, and then he was back, sucking, kissing, swirling, probing with his tongue like his life depended on it. His beard only added to the pleasure, tickling your sensitive flesh wherever his mouth went. Your feet scrabbled against the edge of the counter, trying to find purchase to propel your hips even closer to his mouth but he simply hooked your knees over his shoulders and held your thighs firmly with his hands. You were captive as he teased your second orgasm to the surface.
After you’d already felt his fingers inside you, though, you just wanted that feeling of being full again and, not wanting to come without it, used all your core strength to pull yourself up, place a hand on each side of Chris’ head and tilt his face up to you. It was a battle of wills but you were going to win this one.
'Get those pants off now. I don’t want to come again unless you’re inside me.’
He nodded and stood, unbuckling his belt, popping the button and pulling trousers and snug boxers off in one smooth motion. You moved to the edge of the counter and hopped down in front of him, wrapping your hand around his cock and pumping it gently a few times, before turning around so your back was to him.
He knew instantly what you wanted and brought his hips to your ass, pinning you again between him and the counter. He swept all of your hair over to one side, running kisses up and down your exposed neck and shoulders, using a knee to nudge one leg then the other so he could snake a hand between your bodies and guide his sensitive head through your heat, coating himself in the aftermath of your first orgasm.
'You want to go hard or slow for this one?’ He spoke into your ear, low and gravelly.
You barely recognised your own voice when you replied. The things he did to you.
'We’ve got all night to go slow. For this one, I want you to fuck me into next week. I want to be sore tomorrow and know that you did that, right here against the kitchen counter.’
He sucked in a breath at that, 'Jesus baby, you’re killing me here.’
His hips had set up a slight thrust against your ass and his head glided across your clit. You knew that if you closed your legs, clamping him with your inner thighs, you could make him come in barely any time at all and you could watch him spurt white and glistening all over your thighs. But maybe later. Right now, you really needed him inside you as soon as possible.
A hand at your mid back told you that you were about to get what you wanted as Chris snapped open the clasp of your bra and let the straps fall off your shoulders. You threw the garment away and let out an excited giggle as he applied enough pressure to your shoulder to bend your compliant body forward until your breasts were pressed into the cold counter, the feeling against your nipples a shock to the system after being so warm everywhere else.
'You won’t be giggling in a second if I have anything to do with it,’ his voice was practically a growl at this point; you knew how much he loved taking you in this position. You felt him pull back slightly, a hand ghosting over the skin of your hips and backside, and you knew he was taking a moment to admire your ass. You gave your hips a gratuitous wiggle, just for him, and encouraged him to hurry up.
'Please baby, don’t leave me hanging.’
'Just another second while I ogle my beautiful wife’s backside.’
You felt his lips against one ass cheek and then the other before he positioned himself, lining himself up at your slick entrance, circling with his tip and teasing you.
Then, without warning, Chris sheathed himself fully in one swift movement, pressing you into the counter and shunting your body forward, nipples dragging on the counter. Your mouth dropped open, eyes scrunched closed, and the two of groaned in unison. This is what you had wanted, the feeling of him filling you completely.
He let you adjust for a second or two and then set up his pace: fast and relentless, pounding away, hitting you with his cock deep inside with each thrust. You could feel him jutting his hips out towards you, arching his back away to get a better view and, in your mind’s eye, you could see what he was looking at. You could imagine Chris looking down at your legs and ass spread wide, your back straight at ninety degrees, his dick disappearing into you over and over again and coming out each time even wetter than before.
It didn’t take long before you could feel your body climbing towards orgasm and you clawed at the counter, your fingers finding nothing to grip on to against the smooth surface and having to make do with splaying out wide on the granite. You kept your legs as straight as possible, the angle helping Chris hit your g-spot each time. His rhythm was faltering slightly, favouring speed over elegance, and you knew he was close to the edge, your own climax just beginning to unfurl, but you wanted, more than anything, to topple over into ecstasy with him simultaneously.
'Chris - baby - touch me, please,’ you all but sobbed, feeling wanton and vulnerable but absolutely safe with your husband. He knew what you needed and he reached around, thrusts never letting up, to press two fingers against your clit, sliding against it, soaked as you were.
Your muscles tensed, your body preparing itself to shatter, and then you were both there, a high pitched keening leaving you and a deep guttural moan leaving Chris, explosions of nerve endings everywhere. You felt him collapse against you, one arm wrapping under your body and around your hips as he still thrust shallowly, almost animalistic, against you, milking everything he had into you, as he had done many times before, your body receiving it gladly as you came down from glorious heights.
You don’t know how long you lay there, spent and wrung out, as Chris peppered kisses across your back but he eventually withdrew, sliding out of you with ease. He pulled you up to standing and hooked an arm under your knees, your own arms instinctively winding around his neck.
You planted kisses along his jaw as he walked through the house, towards the stairs, admiring his flushed cheeks and knowing that you were the reason. He would glance down and give you a smile and a shake of the head every so often but mainly he focused on putting one foot in front of the other.
'What are you shaking your head at?’ you fished for information, wanting to know what was going on inside his head.
'You know how people think it’s so adorable that penguins and seahorses mate for life, mainly because it happens so infrequently among humans?’ Chris explained as he lay you gently atop the bed sheets in your bedroom. You simply nodded in reply.
'I was just thinking - you are definitely my penguin. Like, I’m really sorry, but you’re stuck with me for life,’ he lay down next to you, pulling your naked body to his, not able to get close enough it seemed.
You laughed, sated and euphoric, nuzzling into his neck, letting his beard scratch your skin, 'Only you would be thinking about penguins at a time like this. But I take your point. I think you’re right Evans, I think we are penguins, or seahorses, we’re together forever, 'til death do us part, I’m with you until the end-’
'You dare finish that quote and you can wave goodbye to any more orgasms tonight.’
You pretended to zip your lips, lock them and throw away the key and Chris nodded at your, in his opinion, good decision making, laying back against the pillows and closing his eyes while your fingertips swirled on his chest.
'Chris?’
'Hmm?’ he sounded sleepy.
'I hate fighting with you but I fucking love having make up sex with you.’
He lifted his head from the pillow, grinning smugly, 'I know, right? But babe, do you mind if we have a nap before round two? I’m not as young as I used to be.’
'Literally, nothing would make me happier. I’ll wake you up in a little while. Probably with your dick in my mouth, if you like.’
'Jesus. Yes, yes I would like. Very much.’
You threw your leg over his hip, your bodies pressed together, and pressed a kiss to his collarbone before letting your eyes drift shut.

Týr for Beginners
So you think you had an experience with Týr and want to know more because until recently you practically knew nothing about norse mythology itself, just media interpretations like Marvel? okay. Let’s begin with a few words you encounter when you look into Norse paganism.
- UPG = Unverified Personal Gnosis. If you are familiar with fandom terminology it's basically the equivalent of "head canon". You believe it to be true but can't prove it with the sagas. It's common courtesy to mark interpretations based on personal experience as UPG.
- Kenning = wiki says it's a form of Circumlocution. Basically it's using more words to describe something else and it's widely used in Norse poetry. I. E. "A wave's horse" means a ship. Wiki has even a list
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_kennings
- in the pantheon Odin, Thor, Freya, Frigg are the "big names".
Now to Týr.
The key to understanding Týr is imho the one tale we have about Týr and that's the binding of Fenris.
I suggest reading it and trying to find your own interpretation. Afterwards research the things you are interested in, i. e. What wolves stood for, what oathes meant, the meaning of the swordhand etc. and then read it again.
Here is one version: http://web.mit.edu/norvin/www/somethingelse/fenris.html
My own interpretation of the story constantly evolves and I don't want to give my interpretation just yet, because imho it's important that you make up your own mind about it. So that's for another post. It may be best to read it, before continuing with this post.
His names: Týr, Tyr, Tīw, Teiwz, Ziu and Tīwaz, some believe the continental Saxons worshipped him as their main god by the name Saxnot.
Family: prose Edda says Odin is his father, in poetic Edda It's Hymir (In the Hymiskviđa).
The word Týr probably originally just meant "god", it's derived from the same root as "Dio". Partly because of this, it's a popular opinion that Týr was, at least in continental Europe/ Germany, the main god of the pantheon originally, before Odin took over.
I don't remember where the information comes from, but Týr is also a god of the sky.
EDIT, QUOTING @trache-lord
Etymologists believe Tyr descends, as a word, from the Proto-Indo European deity *Dyḗus Pḥatḗr, whose name literally means “Sky Father”. He was supposedly the supreme god and deity of the day lit sky. This is also why some folks think Tyr might have been the chief god in the Norse pantheon before Odin.
END OF QUOTE
Tuesday is his day.
There is some evidence that he was worshipped mainly in Augsburg and that there a goddess by the name Zisa was his consort. This is because of some manuscripts from Augsburg from, iirc, the 14th century. German scholars however disregard this as made up information from the 14th century. If Zisa has been the patron of Augsburg as Týrs wife, we do not know much more about her.
Týr was regarded as the patron of the Thing. In short a thing /ˈθɪŋ/ was the governing assembly of a northern Germanic society, made up of the free people of the community presided over by lawspeakers. Read the wiki about the thing for starters: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thing_(assembly)
That's what made Týr the god of law.
He is also a war god. It is said that warriors preferred calling up to Týr and carving his rune into their swords, because Odin didn't always grant victory to the deserving party.
Ah, the runes. Yes, Týr has his own rune, often referred to as Tiwaz.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiwaz_rune
Research this rune some more, before using it though. That's in general a good idea with runes. Wiki is not enough.
And here is good post that includes additional information and personal interpretation about Týr and  the binding of Fenrir.
http://www.northernpaganism.org/shrines/fenrir/writing/the-mystery-of-fenris-and-tyr.html
Too many the relationship between Týr and Fenrir is important in understanding Týr. That's probably because of the main story we have, the binding of Fenrir.
My personal 2 cents: for me Týr is a veteran general who may have given the reins to someone younger (Odin). He can feel distant but loving. He is the order controlling the chaos, able to use the rage in battle in a controlled way (unlike Odin, the god of berserkers).
He can be elusive in the sagas, mentioned only here and there outside the binding of Fenrir, there is much more to say, some UPG, some doubted by mundane scholars (like Zisa), scattered in pieces in various books and webpages.  In my opinion he values honesty and honour and doing what must be done, even if that requires sacrifices and if you don't want to do it. He is objective and courageous. If you need courage, he is the one for you. If you love justice, he is the one for you. Justice requires courage. For some he represents control and self control, the ability to control your dark urges, your rage.
I, too, had problems with rage, though I didn't attest my conquering of these emotions to Týr at the time. But I thank him for the courage I found in me. And in a way I transformed the rage into a calmer courage. Týr is imho more the battle strategist then the one striking at the enemy with vigor.
I hope I am not too rambling and this helps someone with pointers about what to research and starting points for your own thoughts. I may share some more personal insights/UPG at a later date, if asked to.

What advice would you give to new witches? Or for anybody that wants to know the culture? I’m curious about the culture and I would love to start doing spells or even just to learn about it!
Hi there,Here’s a couple things I wish everybody knew about witchcraft:
1: What we consider “witchcraft” (the manipulation of energy to do our bidding, sometimes with this assistance of spirits or deities, and divination) originated independently in many places around the world! For example: in ancient china priests used a form of divination known as “Oracle Bones” and Voodoo which originated in Africa involves ancestral worship. Voodoo practitioners give offerings to their deities and sometimes ask them to help the sick and needy. These are both aspects of what many people consider modern day witchcraft. (Keep in mind this is a VERY UNOFFICIAL AND BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ORACLE BONES AND VOODOO)
2: Since witchcraft is very broad, you don’t have to practice or believe in every single thing other practitioners of witchcraft believe in. Think of witchcraft as an umbrella term.
Spells and rituals are just one part of witchcraft but are possibly the most well known parts of it. There are a lot of good resources here on Tumblr to help you start casting spells.
Advice to new witches: make sure you know about the history of witchcraft so you don’t try and practice anything from a closed culture or appropriate other cultures in your craft. Remember what I said in 1
Admin Sun made a good post about where to start please check it out! It’s called for those those looking to start witchcraft
-hope this helps! - Freya
my two cents: there is no one culture of witchcraft. witches come from all backgrounds and shit. i’m too tired to be eloquent lmaooo ~ sun

The 5 biggest takeaways from the 2020 NWSL Draft
Tumblr media
Photo by Douglas P. DeFelice/Getty Images
Portland selected Sophia Smith with the No. 1 pick, but a trade involving a USWNT star was the day’s biggest news.
The 2020 NWSL College Draft produced plenty of drama, with some massive trades finalized mere minutes before proceedings got underway. As everyone settled in, it appeared that the Portland Thorns would pick first, followed by two selections each for Sky Blue FC and the Chicago Red Stars. As expected, Portland selected Stanford forward Sophia Smith to kick off the draft. But then to everyone’s surprise, a series of three trades laid out a new top five: Portland, Portland, Orlando, Washington, Sky Blue.
A flurry of activity sent 21-year-old USWNT star Mallory Pugh from Washington to Sky Blue, forward Rachel Hill from Orlando to Chicago, and a lot of future picks and cash the way of the Red Stars, Spirit and Sky Blue.
Trying to spell out the entire web of trades here would be more confusing than helpful, but I recommend getting started with the final draft order and picks from All For XI. Here are the big storylines and the specifics of what everyone got in the end.
Sky Blue makes big move for Pugh
Last season, Sky Blue FC couldn’t escape bad press. Following revelations that the team provided players with substandard conditions for years, first round draft picks Hailie Mace and Julia Ashley declined to sign for the club. Then-president Tony Novo made a lot of excuses, then left the club not long after. Absolutely everything about Sky Blue’s organization has improved since.
Sky Blue eventually secured adequate training facilities and housing for its players. New general manager Alyse LaHue got to work rebuilding trust among fans, as well as her club’s reputation among players. But as Sky Blue moves into Red Bull Arena — a 25,000 capacity stadium much closer to New York City than their previous digs on the Rutgers campus — the club felt like it needed to make a splash. It pulled that off on Thursday by trading for Pugh.
To get Pugh, Sky Blue first moved down in the draft in exchange for $70,000 in allocation money, according to Jonathan Tannenwald of the Philadelphia Inquirer. Sky Blue then flipped the 4th, 13th and 17th overall picks in the 2020 draft, along with their first round pick in next year’s draft, to get Pugh from Washington.
Freya Coombe, Sky Blue’s new head coach, admitted that the move was just as much about business as it was about soccer.
“The fans love her. We’re excited to have extra [fans] come into the stadium and she’s going to be a big part of that,” Coombe told reporters at the draft. She continued: “[Pugh] is definitely going to be a draw and attraction. Before, we weren’t always getting the spectators from the city to come out and watch the games because of transport. Now there’s a whole mass of fans that want to come.”
Coombe clearly rates Pugh as a player, though.
“Watching her in some of the games for the national team, she’s absolutely set me alight, and I was like, this player is fantastic,” Coombe said. “She’s got such an upside in terms of what she does on the ball, what she sees. She’s so smart.” Coombe adds, “she’s a player we’ve been looking at for a long time. We’ve been chipping away at it.”
If you’re wondering why the Spirit would trade Pugh so readily, it’s because they believe they got an extremely similar player in the draft. With the No. 4 overall pick, Washington selected UCLA forward Ashley Sanchez. Like Pugh, Sanchez starred for the USWNT at youth level before getting called into the senior squad as a teenager. Also like Pugh, she’s a dribbling machine, usually operating on the left wing and cutting in on her stronger right foot. Also also like Pugh, she hasn’t quite maximized her talent yet, and needs to get better as a decision-maker in the final third.
Ultimately, this is a move that makes sense for all parties. Sky Blue gets the best player in the trade, and who will especially help sell season tickets, so it’s hard to criticize the club for paying a steep price. The Spirit don’t get functionally worse, despite taking a bit of a PR hit, and get to add three draft picks for doing so. Pugh, who has just four goals in her last 24 NWSL matches, gets a change of scenery. In a decade, we’ll likely look at this as a trade that worked out for everyone.
Portland steals the show
Sophia Smith was a no-brainer No. 1 overall pick for the Thorns, who thought so much of the 19-year-old attacker that they traded USWNT defender Emily Sonnett to the Orlando Pride to acquire the pick. Smith dominated at youth international level, starred for Stanford during the Cardinal’s national championship run, and has a once-in-a-generation combination of speed and technical ability.
Here, have a little sizzle reel. I promise you’ll be sold on her ability instantly.
youtube
No one expected Portland to make a move for the No. 2 overall pick as well, but that’s only because very few people knew how highly Thorns head coach Mark Parsons rated Washington State striker Morgan Weaver. He went to December’s USWNT ID camp to get a closer look at Smith and some of the other draftable talent, and came away with the conclusion that Weaver, who dominated during Wazzu’s Cinderella run as an unseeded team to the College Cup, was easily No. 2 on his board.
Parsons credited general manager Gavin Wilkinson with successfully navigating a convoluted maze of trades to get his coach the player he wanted.
“Gavin Wilkinson gets an A-plus-plus-plus, because he got a deal done 30 minutes before,” Parsons told reporters. “Someone said, ‘Why do you look so chill?’ It’s because our wonderful redhead is running around trying to make us better.”
The trade was completed using a mechanism that didn’t exist two months ago: allocation money. Teams can buy up to $300,000 in allocation money, which can be used to buy down the salary cap impact of star internationals or NWSL Best XI players. It can also be used on operational costs, though the league has not yet specified which uses outside of player salaries are permitted.
Portland, who turns a profit every year, had no problem buying $70,000 of allocation money to trade to the Chicago Red Stars, along with the 15th and 16th overall picks. The Red Stars, who like their current roster and are not profitable, needed the money more than the high pick.
North Carolina Courage head coach Paul Riley was asked about this mechanism in his post-draft presser, and expressed some concern about how teams are able to buy picks.
“My biggest worry about allocation is that some teams are going to buy the first and second picks every year, which is going to change the league completely,” Riley said. “I don’t want that in the future for the league, I think that’s bad, that teams can buy [picks] like the Yankees. Allocation is good to keep the better players, if it’s used for the right thing, but I don’t think we should be using allocation to buy draft picks.”
A rule change will likely be hotly debated next fall, but Portland took advantage of the rules as they’re presently written and signed two of the best young players in the country.
Rory Dames is so good at this
No one is better at manipulating the draft trade market than Chicago Red Stars head coach Rory Dames. His squad finished as runners-up in NWSL despite him trading away enough quality players to accumulate four first round draft picks, and he flipped them for even more value, like that dude who was able to turn a paperclip into a house.
Thanks to a flurry of moves, he ended up with a quality player in Rachel Hill, a reported $85,000 in allocation money, five quality players from this draft, and another 2021 first round pick to add to his collection. The Red Stars now have four first round picks in what is expected to be a loaded 2021 class. Stockpiling those picks also gives Dames assets to trade to potential expansion teams in exchange for a promise to not pick any of his players in an expansion draft, or that he get those players back after they’re selected.
Thursday’s trade with Orlando, in particular, looks like a coup. Hill and cash for the No. 3 overall pick probably would have been a fair trade. Chicago managed to get a first round pick in next year’s potentially better draft to go with it, and moved up from 26th to 19th on Thursday. Dames figured out that Orlando had its eye on a player it wanted desperately, and he got every last drop of value out of that pick.
In addition to making good trades that repeatedly let him turn 75 cents into a dollar, Dames put together a sensible, high-value draft class. Defender Camryn Biegalski, defensive midfielder Zoe Morse and utility player Aerial Chavarin are the type of steady, reliable players who can fill backup roles immediately. Attacking midfielder Ella Stevens and left back Julia Bingham had some notably poor games during their senior seasons, but their best performances stood out above players drafted before them. They’re longer-term projects with very high ceilings. Chicago’s balanced approach makes a lot of sense, and the assets Dames has accumulated give him a ton of options going into a 2021 offseason when a lot of teams will be resigning themselves to losing star players.
I can’t make sense of Orlando
The Orlando Pride sucked last season. They finished dead last with 16 points from 24 games, and an embarrassing minus-29 goal differential. Head coach Marc Skinner and general manager Erik Ustruck are clearly trying to address the team’s problems, and made some aggressive trades, most notably flipping the No. 1 pick in a deal for Sonnett. But Thursday’s moves were perplexing.
As mentioned above, the Pride got poor value out of the deal for the No. 3 pick. But the pick itself was surprising too. Skinner opted for Colorado midfielder Taylor Kornieck, a player who isn’t a stylistic fit for the type of soccer Skinner said he wanted to play last season. He has talked extensively about wanting to play beautiful, artistic soccer, in contrast to the style of soccer most commonly played in the NWSL, which he perceives to be physical and tactically rudimentary. Kornieck, while physically one of the most talented players in the draft class, is statistically one of its worst passers.
But it sounds like Skinner is perhaps changing his tune on how he expects his team to play. Chelsey Bush of The Equalizer asked Skinner what he has learned in his year at the helm in Orlando, and his answer suggested that he is adopting some of the tactics that he bemoaned less than a year ago.
“Sometimes you’re very stubborn in the way that you approach a team, and the way that you want a team to play,” Skinner said. “With the players and pieces that we had last year, I was unable to create what I wanted to create. I’ve had to adapt, and we will have to adapt. We’ll have to encourage the physicality and mentality of this league. The biggest thing that I think will be the difference for the Orlando team this year, there will be a grit and determination to grind out results even if you’re not playing at your best. Any team that wants to be considered to be a playoff team has to have the ability to do that.”
In addition to Kornieck, the Pride drafted a ton of other players who are physically elite, but average or worse technically by current NWSL standards. Defender Konya Plummer, forward Abi Kim and midfielder Chelsee Washington all have the athleticism and tactical intelligence to succeed in NWSL, but they’re not as technically adept other players Orlando could have chosen at the same positions with those picks.
Out of sheer curiosity, I looked up the pass completion % of all of Orlando's draft picks: 63% - Kornieck 80% - Petersen 75% - Plummer 83% - McClernon 76% - Shorts 67% - Kim 71% - Washington (10 games, small sample size alert)
— Chris Henderson (@chris_awk) January 17, 2020
Skinner specifically spoke about Kornieck’s physical qualities when he was asked why he wanted to move up to select her. He compared her to two of the league’s biggest stars.
“I thought that she’s a beast,” Skinner said. “If you look at North Carolina and Portland, that have Sam Mewis and Lindsey Horan, they have an outstanding physical threat, and also the ability to play. To find a player of that stature physically, that has the ability to play, is awesome. If you scout the world for them, there’s not that many.”
There’s a really critical difference between Kornieck and players like Mewis and Horan, however: They’re two of the best passing midfielders in the world, and Kornieck’s passing is currently bad. That’s not to say Kornieck can’t become an elite passing midfielder in the future — Horan wasn’t much of a passer when she first turned pro, for example — but she’s not even in the ballpark at the moment. Skinner seems to fundamentally misunderstand what makes those players great. It’s really not their size.
Skinner appears to have abandoned his principles and done a complete 180-degree turn on his coaching philosophy in under a year. That doesn’t inspire confidence.
3 teams that needed to be aggressive simply weren’t
Utah Royals, Reign FC, and the Houston Dash were either content with what they have, or woefully uncreative in trade negotiations. All of these teams are far from being awful, but they’re equally far from competing for a championship. These are the teams that should be taking big risks. They should have been competing with Portland to get a top pick, or trying to package their picks to get a high quality player. Instead, they did very little.
In order from least to most egregious lack of activity:
Reign FC — Given that the Reign made the playoffs last season despite Megan Rapinoe contributing very little to the team, one could make the case for running it back. They also don’t have a head coach or full-time GM in place following the departure of Vlatko Andonovski and a recent ownership change, so maybe it’s a bad idea to make dramatic moves before a new regime has settled in. But this is also a team that might be a couple trades away from giving their rivals in Portland some problems. Instead, they’re falling farther behind.
Houston Dash — I think you can make a reasonable case for internal improvement for the Dash. Jane Campbell and Rachel Daly are genuinely great players. The Dash had a lot of rookies and second-year players who improved late in the season. Ally Prisock and Haley Hanson, most notably, should make a leap from being good contributors to above-average average starters this season. Kristie Mewis will enter the season fully fit, not in ACL recovery mode. Sofia Huerta is almost certainly better than her 2019 form. And finally, the draft selections of Bridgette Andrzejewski and Chloe Castaneda, a pair of extremely hard working winger-to-fullback conversion projects on either side of the defense, suggests a consistent line of thinking from head coach James Clarkson.
But all that said, the Dash won’t be a playoff team if they don’t add another extremely dynamic attacker. Right now, it’s hard to guess where they’re going to find one.
Utah Royals — Given that Christen Press is at her absolute peak and Becky Sauerbrunn is probably in one of her last years as a world-class center back, the Royals’ lack of movement is indefensible. This is the team that has to be willing to make risky moves and spend money to give their two mega stars a chance to maximize what could be their best chance to compete for a title together. They’ve done nothing to improve on last year’s team. No. 8 overall pick Tziarra King is a massive creative talent, but an extremely raw one that is likely to need a couple of years to become a reliable contributor for a playoff squad. They have just over a month until preseason starts to improve their roster. As of right now, it appears the Royals are squandering a massive opportunity.

hey I’ll make Byakuya soft for his wife all I want but at the end of the day I can admit how much of a downright terrible and very patriarchal individual he can be. Is it explainable? Yes. Is it justifiable? Grey area, but mostly no. Like I still know how this charcater ultimately functions and I can tell you in confidence the majority of the fandom does not.
I swear so much of the fandom uses STEREOTYPES to inform their headcanons and it drives me actually nuts.
On another note: please NEVER ignore how patriarchal this man actually is. Do not even try the “UwU” cutification twists on it either. It is so inherent to his character and how he interacts with the world (which is very observable in his lines) - it’s a core part of him and cutifying or changing that identity is inherently damaging to his character. It’s something that should be explored, yes — but in a way that doesn’t tangibly affect his character. He’s always going to be this way, he will always have these beliefs (evidently); the actual way he changes is how he processes that and reacts more respectfully in turn.
Also he isn’t just “a mean guy” and it is so damn clear in every other instance of his character outside of the first few chapters of T//HH (which again… is easily explained through context and his past). He is honest, he is no-nonsense (except for a few situations), and he is emotionally stunted. He is low-empathy, that’s for sure. Doesn’t make him a monster by any means.

Was Hermione Granger The Only One Who Did Severus Snape’s Werewolf Homework?
As mentioned in this post here, it’s been a while since I last logged on to my Tumblr account. I see that I still have quite a lot of unfinished posts just sitting on my drafts page for this blog. Now, I’m working on finishing and fixing these posts so I can publish them already.
For this particular post, the post date tells me it’s been sitting on my drafts page since May 30th, 2015 2:09:23am. If I’m remembering correctly, this used to be on Bubblews. But since the site closed, I moved my posts elsewhere. I think I moved them to Daily Two Cents and Writedge. But when those two sites decided to change their revenue-sharing model, I moved my articles again. The Harry Potter-related posts were transferred to this blog.
This post shows some of the comments that have been made on this article entitled, "How Come No One Else Knows About Remus Lupin Being A Werewolf?" back when it had been posted on Bubblews.
Do you think it’s realistic that Hermione Granger seems to be the only one who has realized that Professor Remus Lupin, the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, book 3 of the HP series by J.K. Rowling, is actually a werewolf?

Is Hermione Granger really the only one who’s smart enough to be able to figure this out? What about the other Hogwarts students like those from the Ravenclaw House? Surely, there were lots of other students who were intelligent enough to be able to find out the truth about Professor Lupin.
Weren’t there students who’d been taught by their parents or other family members about werewolves? There was prejudice against werewolves, right? So, didn’t those who hated werewolves tell their kids about them, such as how to spot them or how to avoid them or something?
As for the werewolf homework that Professor Severus Snape gives to the Hogwarts students- it makes sense that Hermione would have done the homework and that some of the other students, like those who tended to procrastinate and do things at the last minute, wouldn’t do the assignment right away. But, surely, Hermione wasn’t the only studious student in school?
Aren’t Ravenclaws known for being fond of studying and learning? Wouldn’t they have done the assignment too? Or what about the Slytherins? Wouldn’t they (some of them, at least) have done the homework since it was given by Snape? What do you think?
Tricia Hein (&chesirecat136):
Remember, Hermione was the only one who did the assignment. All of the other students refused to do it, they didn't think Snape had the right to assign them homework. And yeah, apparently none of the other students caught on, because Lupin's "sickness" seemed random, no one ever noticed it happened once a month, and even if they did, they'd have to suspect already before checking the moon, other wise, why would they think that had any significance? He always looked sick and weak, so no one thought it was strange that he was always sick.
Finally, Lupin wasn't fired, he quit preemptively, so even if the students did want him back, Lupin wasn't interested in staying. I think Dumbledore even tried to convince him to stay.
Tumblr media
Professor Severus Snape, the Hogwarts potions teacher and head of Slytherin House, gave the students homework about werewolves when Professor Lupin was too ill to teach them
Freya Yuki:
Yeah, guess Snape really should not have had any right to give the students any homework since he was just the substitute teacher. Lupin's "sickness" did seem pretty random but one would think there are others who would have noticed something odd or something? Did Hermione only figure out that Lupin was a werewolf after doing that assignment that Snape gave to them?
It's also pretty strange if absolutely none of the students knew anything at all about werewolves. Surely, some of them might have been told by their parents or something? Hermione couldn't have been the only one who was interested in reading books as well as researching and looking into things.
Oh yeah, Lupin did quit before he could get fired but one wonders if it was really necessary for him to have done so. For instance, if the job was offered back to him, would he have accepted or still refused it? If Dumbledore convinced him to stay, Lupin probably should have accepted. After all, why not? Most of the students did like him and the way he taught. Plus, he needed the money, right?

They're retrieving chassis and bodies we are sending some we have factories and we are taking out the old fuse panels which have about 30 fuses ranging from 5 to 100 amps more or less and they're huge one of those three inches by one inch by 2 inches in gigantic they cost a lot of money to replace like a $150 for one of them at some point so we are taking all of those out and just putting in standard fuses which cost 30 cents for items it might blow and it would save them they just shut off instead of the current continuing and the panel can handle good current and it goes to a ground in the ground goes to a discharge and the whole car has several discharge points and their EMP discharge they create an ark on purpose and you can see cars sometimes discharging you get static from the roadway from metal grids from the plastic from the atmosphere and you need to discharge it some frames would charge up in reverse polarity of the battery so really you want to do that and to make it easier some of them have copper wiring it leads to it and it's fuse to the frame which is really the way to do it and only takes a few minutes and you can do it right in the engine compartment but the point is that those fuses are hard to get they're expensive and when you switch them out there's nothing to it you just add a wire and put in a discharge system and you're off and running and you can sell the other ones as OEM because they're brand new and you put it back in the box do you make each manufacturer and really it's at the automobile of manufacturers facility so you're not lying in a brand new and you're not lying and your people need these now all over the world you hear about it every few minutes when it diffuses coming and they're going to be there and as they replace them they're going to find out where stuff is
Thor Freya
We worked it out this morning and I knew about it but I think that his idea was real good he said to take the ones out of the cars as you get the bodies and they're brand new and to sell them off and you make a ton of money even as OEM and seconds which is not what they are they're brand new but we can sell them at a decent price maybe $80 instead of $150 and make a lot of money back from the losses it's a lot okay there's hundreds of trillions of cars in the area that have these and we're getting hundreds of trillions of parents and they were talking a lot of money and I can't pass it up
Bja
Me neither and I want to do this and I'd rather not drive the bus everyone wants me not to I'm still going to try I guess and stupid I'll probably get shot but that's the way it goes and it's not really a principal it's just a dumb thing to do he says it's a threat and other people are using me as a threat he doesn't appreciate it and if you don't stop well he's going to do what he's doing I suddenly hear what he's saying Deacon hide stuff and we can't we've got big mouth this is not going to be good because of this crap we're doing it again I'm doing a lot of it it says someone else would be doing it if it weren't me so I can be the brainless piece of trash that keeps doing it that's horrible but that's what it is that's why I'm still trying right now this will make a lot of money I need money to try and do things to bother him I guess he says I don't really want to be doing this it's so stupid I'm just going to get hurt and never does anything anyways people are pushing me to it mentally and physically and with other stuff
Trump
I do understand it and I believe it and I believe it he's telling the truth they don't want to be possessed going around a Superman either but it's going to happen and when they're doing that they can't resist the feeling that they might not die that they might save their people and they might be having a nice day at Papa Gino's the next day with beer and pizza at the same time this place is ridiculous and you can't even do that anymore and you're angry about it I understand that they're simpler and they get pushed around more but my brother fell very hard and I've seen first hand that it can happen to people who are smart so I have to be careful and I don't want him driving the bus and that's all he can drive other stuff we'll be great is if you picked up a hobby other than doing what they wanted to do and something that they want that's really not good for them and so if something that they used to threaten me in mind and them more so the latter like driving a go-kart Mozart car you have a go-kart and you turn it into a different kind of car and he might pick up his own business and have fun doing it like Peter sensei
Zues Hera
We're going to get you two for what you're saying right now but really that's a great idea so I'm going to look into it cuz he's go karts are being made into stealth cars and their mini cars and I want to make mini cars it says like the Lamborghini it's a real famous mini car so I'm going to try and do that he might even get one that's making me feel better
One reason is it's dangerous but really it'll be fun and I'd make money and it's not hard money

It’s a pretty long guide, and part or all of its content might get obsolete as the game gets updated with new content and new characters. Also, I won’t be explaining the very basics of the genre: this guide assumes you’re familiar with mobile gacha team based RPG’s. Please note: English is not my native language, so it might look a bit fuzzy here and there. Also, due to post character limits, it will be broken in different posts. If you don't like how this forum formats the guide, this link will provide you the original file, that looks tidier: [REMOVED] Lastly, this is not a wiki. It doesn't contain details on everything. This guide's focus is to get you to play the game efficiently, without wasting time and resources.
Before starting…
Ok, you just discovered about the game, or just downloaded it and wanted to know if it’s a good game you can settle in playing for a long time. So, here is what you need to know:
It’s a Gacha game. This means a few things, such as luck being an important factor in becoming stronger, whales being quite more powerful than free to play users (but in a smaller degree than many other games). Due to this, if you haven’t already spent a lot of time playing, you might consider rerolling (which means starting over again and again until you get a solid start from your first 10x summon), especially if you happen to be starting during the Star Party event, that takes place during the last 2 days and the first 2 days of any month. Getting the hero Urd at the very beginning would be a tremendous help.
The summoning rates are quite low, and aiming for a certain hero (especially the Star Party exclusive ones) can be quite a nightmare. Anyways, the amount of free premium currency handed out is not bad, and in the long run, eventually, even without spending a cent, you’ll probably end up having everything you need to create a good party.
When adding new heroes, most of the times they try to either add new mechanics, or to add a hero with particular skills, rather than simply releasing copies of obsolete heroes with higher stats (like in Brave Frontier, if you know the title). This means that, most of the times, a good hero will always be a good hero even when they add new ones.
All heroes can reach the same potential in terms of stars, but, usually, the most common ones (1star and 2star base rarity) have lower stats and/or less useful activated skills when compared to the rarer ones, although this can be compensated with equipment.
The game focuses more on team management rather than execution. You won’t be interacting much with your heroes when they’re actually fighting. Playing manually still helps even if the user inputs are very limited, but since it’s also a very grindy game (you’ll be repeating the same battles a LOT of times), most of the times you’ll be using the auto mode. Organizing your team composition, as well as which skills they’ll be using and in which order (through equipment management) is the real key factor.
If you’re fine with these points, then it’s a good game for you. It gets updated quite often with content, and, most of the times, there’s a cool event going on, still leaving you some short periods of nothingness where you can focus all of your stamina (the resource used for running content) for upgrading your heroes.
Game core mechanics
Team building
Ok here’s the drill. You’ll be heading a team of 5 heroes towards many challenges, and here’s how it works:
Classes: Positioning
There are 3 different hero classes in the game: melee, mage and rangers, and these will determine their positioning in your team. Melees stay in the front row, Mages in the middle row and Rangeds in the rear row. Other than this basic concept, heroes from the same classes have a positioning priority that is set in stone: you can’t move your heroes around as you like. But don’t worry, most of the times (though there are some exceptions), it follows this logic: within the same class, bulkier heroes tend to stay closer to the front. So, for example a hero who’s been designed to be a tank will always stand before a melee damage oriented hero, even if they both belong to the melee class.
Being in the front means taking all of the basic attacks, but many skills (both hero skills and equipment abilities) target other heroes. There are skills that target all the heroes in a given row, or a hero in a specific position (usually the furthest or/and the closest) and much more, but usually, your front most hero is the one who’ll take most of the damage, so you want a tank to be there.
The ideal party composition is this one: 2 melees (tank included), 2 mages and 1 ranged. The reason is related to what I just explained: there are skills that target specific rows (the closest or the furthest), so, in general, you don’t want to overcrowd your rows. For example, if you don’t have any ranged in your team, abilities that target the rearmost row will wreck your mages (such as Momiji’s). Bring too many melees and Gullveig and Freya will tear them apart quickly (they both target the closest row).
However, outside of arena, chances are that you know what the enemy will be throwing at you, so you can adjust your team accordingly. For example, Hrungnir, one of the connect battle bosses, has a skill that deal damage and paralyzes the closest row, and he’s also very weak to magical damage. For him, only 1 melee in your party (your tank) is perfect.
Classes: Roles and statistics
Heroes from the same classes can have different roles, and, especially for rangeds, this tends to have a great impact on how you should be gearing them.
Melees heroes divide in 2 categories: tanks and physical damage dealers. Tanks should be built with high HP, DEF and MDEF, while damage dealers should focus on ATK first, without completely forgetting bulk, as skills that target the closest heroes are the most common ones, not to mention Hel, a hero that can banish your tank for a while, leaving your next hero open to basic attacks.
Mages are mainly used for damage dealing, but there are some that mainly focus on support. Your damagers should prioritize MATK to enhance their performance, while support heroes need some bulk, just to ensure they’re not the first ones to die.
Rangeds mostly focus on offensive support (debuffing) rather than pure damage dealing and they can either rely either on ATK or MATK. Most of the times, if they use a Gun they use MATK, and if they don’t, they need ATK instead, but if you’re unsure, just check their skill: it always deals damage trough their main statistic. They are usually bulkier than mages, and also have a lot more speed. When it comes to gear, the more important their support factor is, the more speed you want to give them. If they’re more damage oriented, just focus on their attack statistic (ATK or MATK).
The important thing about this is determining whether a hero uses ATK or MATK. With only one exception (Loki), if a hero uses ATK, then equipping him anything that increases MATK is a complete waste, and same goes for MATK users: ATK equipment is a complete waste. This should address one of the most common error that new player commit: I’ve encountered countless mages equipped with swords and warrior rings, and people doing this error are what I look for when running the Valhalla Onslaught (more about this later).
While HP, ATK, DEF, MATK and MDEF are pretty self-explanatory, EVA, HIT and SPD need some clarification.
SPD (Speed) determines the amount of time a hero needs to take a turn. Basically, with more SPD, they’ll be performing their turns faster. This is unnoticeable at low values, but one you hit the several thousands, you can clearly see it in the battlefield. This stat is somewhat important when building a good damage dealer, but not as much as their main attack stat. If you’re trying to build a support and don’t really care about damage, then SPD is the most important stat, as it’ll let you cycle that character’s skills faster.
HIT and EVA determine your chances to hit with your attacks and evade enemy ones. However… they don’t apply to hero skills and limit bursts, and also, they only affect the damage component, as the secondary effects still apply regardless of whether the attack hits or not. This being said, these stats are nice to have, but definitely not something you should aim for.
One last thing about statistics: buffs/debuffs apply to the value you enter in battle with, which is the one you see when consulting your hero’s stats under the column “Total”. You can get these from equipment and other skills, and they have a cap.
Passive buffs you get from accessories can go to a maximum of 50% per stat. They last for the whole battle and can’t be canceled in any way
Active buffs you get from equipment or hero skills have a duration in turns, and have a cap of 50% per stat. The same goes with debuffs.
To make an example of how active buffs work. Let’s say that on turn 1 you gain a 30% MATK buff that lasts 3 turns, then on turn 2, you gain another MATK buff that lasts 3 turns, here is what would happen as the turns elapse:
30% MATK buff (first buff applies)
50% MATK buff (second buff applies, but stays doesn’t go to 60% since the cap is 50%)
50% MATK buff
30% Matk buff (the first buff ends its duration)
No buff (the second buff ends its duration)
------------------------------
Elemental Weakness and resistances
Just how it happens in many other games, this one also sports various elements. These are Fire, Water, Earth, Light and Darkness. However, resistances to those elements aren't fixed. To make it clear, if a Hero has a light elemental Hero Skill, it doesn't mean that he's going to be weak to darkness. Each hero has its own unique resistances, that you can check in their descriptions. You'll see 4 concentric pentagons there, that represent the resistance level. The second pentagon represents neutrality to a given element, so if the resistance lands closer to the center, it means that the hero is vulnerable to that element, while if it lands beyond the second pentagon, it means that it's resistant to it.
Star rarity frame color and level
Other than equipping them with gear, you can make your heroes stronger in 2 ways: by increasing its rarity level (the amount of stars, to make it clear), by upgrading their frame and by increasing its level
To add more stars to your hero, you’ll need its soul fragments, that you can get from summoning copies of the same hero and from running that hero’s own quest scenario. Adding stars simply adds to the hero’s base stats.
To improve its frame, you’ll need orbs, which you’ll gather from the main adventure most of the time. By improving a hero’s frame, you’ll unlock more equipment slots and add big bonuses to their stats.
In order to increase its level, a Hero needs experience. The exp you’ll get from normal quests is really little, so you’re better off running the Exp/Mana quest (ONLY WHEN IT’S 3x!!!!) or simply buying the exp with mana. If you buy it, remember that the first 20 levels are very cheap, but it ramps up quickly from that point.
Battle mechanics
Now that we have team building sorted and you know what stats to aim for when equipping your heroes, let’s see how battle works.
Turns
A turn consists of an attack action and a wait time
. All of the effects that “tick” each turn, be them a healing effect, or a crowd control effect (such as paralysis), or anything else, take place right after the attack action.
During the attack action, your heroes will perform their animation, such as swinging for a basic attack, or a different animation if they activate on of their equipment skills, or a (usually but not always) longer animation if they’re using their hero skill. If they’re using a skill (either their own hero’s or an equipment’s), they’ll shout the skill name at the very beginning of the animation. During this animation, if any of the following things happen, they’ll be interrupted, the actual attack won’t happen and they’ll go in wait time.
They get struck by a crowd control effect
They take a high amount of damage in a single hit (you’ll notice it as they’ll trigger an animation like they’ve been hit hard)
The enemy team uses its Limit Burst
The hero uses his own Limit Burst during the animation. If another ally uses a limit burst while the hero is performing his attack, it won’t be interrupted, and damage and effects will land normally right after the Limit Burst.
This is something that, of course, you can use to interrupt the enemy skills, especially when you’re running content in manual (mainly guild battles and Valhalla Onslaught). You want to avoid enemy Urd to use her completely broken healing skill? Throw your limit burst as soon as she shouts the skill’s name, and you’ll cancel it.
Equipment skills
When running an attack turn, Heroes will try to activate equipment skills.
At the first turn, they’ll be using the first equipment on their “Weapons/Armor” list. On the second turn they’ll use the second equipment and so on. This means that the order at which your Hero will use his equipment skills can be decided by putting the equipment in the right order.
This is VERY important when planning your strategy, as with this, you can decide when your party will go with burst damage, when you want your crowd control effects, when you want your tank to activate his healing skill and/or his barriers.
Of course, after the 4th turn, the cycle will start again from the first equipment.
Sadly, they won’t always use an equipment skill, and when this happens, they’ll perform a regular basic attack instead, that has a 30% chance to crit for more damage (and a possible interrupt to the enemy’s action).
Equipment skills do not have 100% activation chance. I do not have real numbers at hand, but based on my personal experience, I’d say that they start at roughly 30/40% at skill level 1, going up to 70/80% at skill level 5 (more on how to increase skill level later).
If an equipment slot is empty or still locked, that’s a guaranteed basic attack.
Hero skills and Limit Bursts
Other than equipment skills, you have the only 2 actions that require interaction from the player in order to be used (only when playing in manual, of course).
These are Hero skills and Limit Bursts
You can activate a Hero skill by tapping on his portrait once his gauge is full. When you do, you’ll force a new attack turn on your hero by either canceling its current attack turn or pulling them out from wait time, and it will perform the skill. Remember that animation time for Hero skills are usually quite long, and because of this they’re more vulnerable to interrupts at this time.
The Hero’s gauge fills automatically during wait time and during its attack turn, but only when it performs a basic attack. If he goes for en equipment skill, during the relevant animation, the gauge will freeze. The gauge also fills when the hero takes damage and when it deals a killing blow on something.
Limit Burst has its own gauge that fills automatically over time and gains a small buff when any of your heroes use their own Hero skill. By activating a limit burst, you’ll force your hero out of whatever he’s doing to perform the limit burst. If multiple heroes have access to the same limit bursts, those who weren’t selected to perform it will join, making it more powerful, provided they are not crowd controlled. The bonus is 10% to damage and 1% to stats buffs/healing effect for each hero that’s performing that limit burst (thanks to Rosa X Baldr, the game's wiki's author for this information), but the initial damage will always be calculated on the stats of the hero that was selected to cast the Limit Burst.
A small note on equipping your heroes Other than remembering to not stack up on the wrong attack stat, there are a few things to know. Even if they might look very obvious.
When choosing what items to slab on your heroes, you should think about what role they are performing. For example, your tank is there to defend the rest of your team, so giving him extra ATK is useless. Give him things that will actually help him to perform his role better.
Also, every 3 star rarity hero has access, or will have access (as soon as it gets released), to their own exclusive equipment, that comes in two versions: a 2 star rarity base that comes from mana summons, and 3 star one that comes from diamond summons, and you can have both the 2 versions on your hero. Most of the times (not always, especially for accessories), this is recommended, as, usually, the equipment skills on these pieces are very strong.
------------------------------------------------
Game content
Now let’s talk about what you can do in the game, but before doing so, in case you already haven’t done this, open up the Ranking tab (it’s a button on the left on the main menu, it looks like a crown) tap and press follow to the top 30 players you find there. This will give you access to their mercenaries, that will make everything a lot easier, especially if you’re just starting out.
Adventure quests
This is the game’s main mode. It’s a lot of short battles that can be either 3 stages encounters or a single, big boss fight. Very easy at the beginning, but it gets complicated as you progress, although, with the help of mercenaries, you should always be able to complete at least with a 1 star rating.
Win with no losses for a 3 stars rating, 1 dead hero for 2 stars, and more than 1 casualty will net you a 1 star rating.
As a reward, you’ll get mana, quick tickets, gems (1 time only rewards) and, most importantly, orb shards, which are needed to strengthen your heroes and letting them use more equipment. Because of this, you’ll be playing these quests a LOT, as orbing your heroes is a very important step to make them stronger.
Arena and Grand Arena
This is where you face other players. Well, you won’t be actually facing them, but just their teams.
Since your opponent won’t be there using its own team, both you and the enemy will be forced on automatic mode, and you’ll simply have to watch the battle.
Grand Arena is the same, except you have 3 battles (so you need 3 teams), and in order to win, you need to be victor on 2 of these battles. Before every battle, you get to see your enemy composition and power score for each one of its teams (this won’t be true anymore once you’ll get past rank 100), so, by sorting your teams before each battle, gaining ranks will be easier than in arena, but for the same reason, losing rank will also happen more often.
When you win, you’ll switch ranking with your opponent if his score was better than yours.
Once you’ve earned all of the game’s 1 time only gem rewards, this mode will probably be your main source of gems later on. If you follow this guide (or if you simply are a smart player), you’ll probably end up within the first 50 of your battle group relatively easy, and as months passes, you’ll end up being just as strong as those whales who sit on the first spots.
Hero quests
Each hero has its own small campaign of 5 quests. By completing them, you’ll earn a handy 1 time only 330 gems reward, plus the access to the quests that has a chance to drop that hero’s soul fragments. This quest can only be run 3 times a day. If you only rely on these quests to upgrade your heroes, basing on my personal experience, I’d say that it takes roughly 110 days to bring a hero from 3 stars to 5, but of course this time can change depending on your luck. It’s a lot of time for sure, but remember, once it hits 5 stars, you’re done with him. The 3 times a day limit only counts for the same hero. To make it clear, you can run EACH hero’s quests 3 times a day, and my personal suggestion is to focus on multiple heroes, the more the merrier, especially if you have bought the 30 days energy pass from the shop. At the very beginning you’ll probably have to rely on mercenaries to clear these quests.
Connect Battles
These are tied to events, but since there's at least 1 available at all times, i didn't include this under the Events section. On these, 3 players fight united against a single boss, surrounded by crystals that have their own abilities on higher difficulties. By beating him, players will get connect tokens and boss specific tokens, which are used to buy equipment. Only one of the player pays the energy bill, while the other two can join for free. Obviously, the one who pays, has access to better rewards, such as the boss' soul shard, additional tokens and a ring that's used to resist the boss' aura on 7 stars difficulty. But still, when you have 0 energy, joining other players' connect battles is a great way to gain new equipments, and thus, get stronger. If you are interested in leeching connect battles, here's a few tips to find many of them:
Ignore the skull symbol on the bottom left corner when it appears. You don't know what boss it will let you fight, and at which difficulty, so it's often a waste of time.
If you're looking for 5 stars or lower battles, open up the chat, go to the connect battle tab and, from there, switch quickly from channel 2 to channel 10, until you find a battle you can join.
If you want a 6 stars or higher battle, do the same as stated above, except that you switch only from channel 1 to 2, and viceversa. Now, the real thing is that these battles have many different mechanics, that become more important as the chosen difficulty arises. For example, Marmalade puts to sleep all female characters, while Hrungnir gets healed if you hit him with physical attacks (those who rely on ATK), thanks to a barrier that's cast on him by the crystals close to him. Also, the crystals are extremely vulnerable to only 1 element, and almost immune to all others. This means that choosing the right team is crucial to getting the job done. Doing the battle on manual might also help, but since you'll be doing these extremely often if you want to get the relevant equipments, it's a lot better if you simply run them on automatic mode while doing other things in real life.
You'll find a full list of these bosses' abilities in the in-game help section (by tapping on the question marks found in the various menus), and unless you're fine with being a burden to the players fighting with you, I highly recommend you to read them carefully, and understand which heroes (and which with equipment) you should be bringing.
Guild Battles
If you are part of a guild, then you'll be doing these every day.
On this mode, all of the guild members can battle opposing guild members in order to find a route to the enemy guild crystal, that will award your guild with victory if it gets destroyed.
On the guild battle map, there will be 3 lanes, and all of them will eventually land you on the guild crystal. Because of this, it's always better to focus on 1 of the lanes and destroy the crystal, and then, destroy the remaining lanes to get better completion %, for better rewards.
This mode has some special rules:
Once you use a hero, you won't be able to use it again, even if it didn't die in battle. Throughout the whole battle, you have only 1 chance of restoring all of your heroes with an easily accessible support skill, letting you use all of them again one more time.
Enemy teams won't heal up if you can't beat them in one try. If anyone faces them again, their hp will be the same they were left with at the end of the previous battle.
And a few tips for you:
Play these battles on manual, to take advantage of the interrupt mechanics. Use your Limit burst to interrupt dangerous abilities, and try to play your Hero skills when they're less likely to be interrupted.
Opponents can still heal during battle, so if your opponent has healers and you know you're not going to defeat him, try to use your Limit Burst right before losing, to prevent him from healing all of the damage before the battle finishes.
Tapping pause and leaving the battle discards any progress, just like the battle never happened. Useful if you think you've been unlucky. You can only do so when your heroes are still alive, when your last hero is playing is death animation it's already too late... be careful, this little trick is VERY important
As a reward from playing guild battles, you get both regular and special guild tokens. Regular can be used to get extra mana, while the special ones can be used to obtain powerful equipment.

Events
Exp/Mana quest and Orb quest
Let me get straight to the important thing about these. These quests should only be considered when the recurring event that makes Exp/Mana 3x and Orb 5x is ongoing. If said event isn't running, just pretend they don't exist. Also, everything stated below is to be considered valid ONLY if the event is ongoing.
Both the exp/mana and the orb quest have race restrictions that change every day, with the exp/mana one having an “all races” entry on every Saturday. If you're having troubles clearing them, resort to mercenaries, but remember that, if you take a mercenary on the exp/mana quest, you'll be getting exp for only 4 of your heroes.
The Exp/Mana quest is a great tool to level up your heroes and gain a lot of mana in the process. For 30 energy you get around 11k exp per character, plus 3 or 6 medium mana bottles, which is a lot. Also, you can even get a nice stock of quick tickets if you run this quest for a while. I highly recommend running this quest rather than spending your mana to level up your heroes.
The Orb quest is a great way to get a healthy stock of the most used orbs. Run this a lot of times, and you'll be making those annoying purple planet orbs way more easily, and the same goes for wyrm orbs and many others.
On the Orb quest, only 1 race is admitted every day, so finding the right mercenaries to run them might not always be easy, but if you kindly ask in the various chat channels, you shouldn't have problems in finding them.
Valhalla Onslaught
This is one of the most rewarding events of the game, and sports some really great mechanics.
Basically, it's a an endless tower with endless floors, and you get a nice reward every 2 battles, and a very good one every 10 battles, which is at the end of every floor. Also, at the end of every battle you have a chance to get a chest that unlocks itself after some time (Clash Royale style). and here is how it works:
You don't need energy to run this. Instead, at the end of every battle, your heroes won't recover. Their Hero skill gauges will also stay at the same level as they were when the previous battle ended, and the same happens to the Limit Burst gauge, but you can heal them back to full hp and gauge for free every 10 hours, or whenever you want by paying gems (don't do that unless you're a whale).
This rule also applies to your enemy. If you can't defeat them on your first try, they won't recover, and next time you'll face them, they'll have the same hp they had when the previous battle finished.
Having multiple viable heroes is important here, but focusing on a strong all-round team might carry you further. Also you can use your friends' mercenaries here, who will help tremendously to keep your heroes in good health, or to simply solo some fights if you are a new player. You can use them only for 3 battles, but this counter resets whenever you clear a whole floor or you heal your heroes.
The battles here aren't fixed, you'll be facing other players' teams here, and if you don't like an opponent you can look for a new one as much as you like (the mana cost for refreshing the opponent is really small).
Let me tell you, finding the right opponents is the key to success in this event. Even if 2 teams have the same power score, it absolutely doesn't mean that they are equally hard to beat, and power score is the only thing that will be rising as you progress through the tower. Remember that you can also tap on the various heroes composing the enemy team to check their equipment. When things start to get harder, there are many elements that will make your battles tremendously easier, and finding them is only a matter of time. You don't need to have all of them present, but If the enemy's score is a LOT higher than yours, then you want to have as many of these elements as possible, and here's a complete list of them:
Heroes with bad equipment. Enemies with many stars and good frames but poorly equipped are a lot easier to win than teams with low stars heroes equipped with proper gear and an actual strategy. If they're using the wrong gear, it's even better. By wrong gear, I mean, for example, Mages with Warrior Rings (that boost their ATK, a statistic that's utterly useless for them)
Teams composed by only 2 or (quite rare to find but not impossible) 1 rows. This will let all of your skills that target a specific row to hit more targets. For example, if your Freya can charm 4 heroes, or even the full team when she uses her Love Machine, the fight will be super easy.
Teams composed by bad heroes. Let's face it, all of the 1 star rarity heroes do not pose much of a threat in PvP, even if they get evolved, and the same is true for almost all of the 2 star rarity ones.
Teams that DO NOT include healers (Urd, Baldr and, to a less extent, Luca), unless you're have access to branding and you're very confident with it. Healing can be quite powerful in PvP, but if you consider the special rule of this event, it's even more dangerous here. Your enemies won't heal up at the end of the fight... but this doesn't mean that they can't heal DURING the fight, and this can potentially wane all of your efforts if you already know that you won't be defeating your enemy at the first go.
Teams that do not include heroes that you know you're very vulnerable against. This include AoE heavy heroes that use an element you're terribly vulnerable to, and other heroes that use crowd control effects that might cause great harm.
You want to run this mode on manual mode, because, whatever level you are, you'll soon hit the point where, at least on the paper, the enemy is much stronger than you. And with manual, you'll have access to the following options:
Remember that your gauges will start from where they were at the end of the previous battle. This means that if the enemy is almost defeated, you shouldn't use your hero skills if you can afford to, in order to have them ready instantly for the next battle.
Watch the battle. Try to use your Hero skills right after most of the enemy hero have entered their wait time to minimize chances of being interrupted.
If there's a dangerous hero in the enemy team, remember that you can use your Limit Burst to interrupt its Hero Skill.
This is not related to the manual mode, but is still EXTREMELY important. If the battle isn't going well and you think you've just been unlucky, tap on pause and leave the battle. This way everything that happened during the battle will be discarded, and it will be just like you never fought. You can only do this while your heroes are still alive, you won't be able to play this trick while your last hero is playing is death animation. Be careful!
Let's talk a bit about the rewards.
Within every chest you'll be open, you'll find some Onslaught coins, that you can use to purchase event gear at the trader.
The final floor rewards work as follows: On your first 4 floors, you'll get rune equipment. On floors 5 to 10, you'll get an event exclusive piece of gear, from the floor 11 onwards, you'll only get coins.
The random chests work as follows: at the end of every battle, you have a small chance to get either a crimson or a ruby chest. Crimson chests need 1 hour and 30 minutes to open up, while Ruby ones need 10 hours. You can spend gems to open them instantly, but it's not really convenient unless you're a whale. You have only 3 chest slots, but all of your chests will be the opening timer, not just 1 of them. If you have all of your slots occupied, you should STOP progressing until you have at least 1 free slot, as you totally don't want to waste any of these chests. Inside these, you'll find mana, coins, and a rune equipment, with a chance of finding, instead of the rune gear, a very powerful, Valhalla chest exclusive piece of gear, and trust me, you want it. Obviously, ruby chests have better loot and better chances at the exclusive gear than the crimson ones.
Scenarios
We've had this kind of event only 2 times so far, but they might release more, so it's worth explaining.
It's a series of quests that look just like the normal story ones, but have some extra rules:
In order to get good completion rating, instead of just having to let all of your heroes survive, you have to meet some specific objectives, that are described at every quest. If you manage to get a 3 diamonds rating, you'll get an extra reward, that can be either a sphere, extra mana, some rune gear, exclusive hero soul fragments or equipment.
Some heroes have improved stats if used in this event. If you see 2 arrows points up on a hero's portrait, then all of its stats are increased by 50%. 4 arrows mean that they're increased by 100% (which really is a LOT).
These scenarios have always been a good way to get an exclusive hero plus a lot of gems and other nice rewards.
------------------------------------------------------------
Resources and currencies: where to get and how to spend them
Real money
First things first, let's talk about the in-game micro transactions. Obviously, I'll skip the “where to get them” part for this topic.
This game has a different approach to them when compared to other titles. Instead of giving you more when you spend a ton money, you actually have a better value when you spend small amounts. Not only this encourages light to moderate spenders to grab some packs, but it also decreases the gap between whales and f2p players. Mind you, the gap is still there, but it's not as brutal as in many other titles.
If you'll ever consider spending a bit of money on this game, I highly suggest you to get the 30 days energy pass. It's a total of 9000 energy given to you over a month, and it helps a lot. Other than that, all of the small cheap packs usually are a good deal, except those that contain rune gear, as ,somehow ,A-team thinks they have a great value...
Gems (Diamonds)
Gems are a limited resource in this game as they are the premium currency that you can either buy with real money, or gain by completing various 1time only objectives, events, your daily quests and from arena daily rewards.
One important thing is: NEVER spend them in the trader., traveling included It's absolutely not worth it. The soul shards you'll find there only belong to the most common heroes, and mana bottles and orbs are so ridiculously overpriced that it's way more convenient to simply use your gems to recharge your energy and get those by playing normally.
The main thing you should focus on is summons, with these 2 priorities:
Star Party. During this event, the game's most powerful heroes are available and you totally want those. Especially Urd. I'd say that, if you don't have Urd yet, this should be your only way of spending your gems. This is subject to change as more heroes get released, but at the moment she's incredibly good on all kind of contents, and chances are that even when new support heroes will get released, she's still be superlative on what she does.
Discounted summons. 1500 gems for a 10x summon is always worth it, and 2000 gems ones are still good.
Exclusive summons. Sometimes, banner exclusive heroes are quite good and might be worth a try or two if you want to get them. A good example is Ammaterasu, with her AoE fire elemental Hero Skill that's very good in PvP and incredibly good on Connect Battles where fire attacks are important.
If you feel like you have all the heroes you need, then using gems to recharge your energy is a strong option.
Mana
This is your main currency, and you'll get it from most of the content. You can use it to level up your heroes, evolve and upgrade your gear and perform mana summons.
There are 2 very efficient ways to get mana in the game:
Exp/Mana 3x event quest. If you actually need to level up your heroes that this quest gives, this is, by far, the most efficient way to earn mana. Remember that experience can be bought with mana, so every exp point you get here will let you save some of this currency
Connect battles (only if you host them). This is another great content to run if you need mana, and you get more connect tokens as a bonus. At 6 stars difficulty, if you don't have any hero to level up, it's even better than the Exp/Mana 3x quest.
The most important thing you can do with mana is mana summons, as this will give you access to nice special equipments and other resources, such as rune gear, spare low rarity equipment, and both blacksmith and soul tokens. To get the latter, you'll have to bring the 1 star rarity heroes to 5 stars first, but it shouldn't take you too much mana to do so.
There are times when performing mana summons is more efficient than others. If you own any star party hero, then you might want to summon when their special equipment is available, or if you'd like more rune gear to help up upgrading your gear, then you might consider waiting for the relevant event to be up (even if, until now, it's been very rare).
Other than summoning, using your mana to level up your hero is another viable option, as the exp/mana 3x event isn't always up, or you simply have only 1 hero that needs to be leveled up fast. Just remember that, while the first 20 levels are quite cheap, it quickly ramps up beyond that, and bringing a hero from lv 1 to 50 costs around 1 million mana.
Rune gear and spare gear: a brief guide to equipment upgrading
Gaining a strong piece of equipment is only the first step. Making it actually powerful takes some resources, and here's how to do it efficiently.
The resources you'll need are rune gear and/or spare equipments you get from mana summons that you don't need.
There are 3 ways to make an item more powerful.
Increasing its rarity
In order to increase an item's rarity, you need to reforge it, using the same item or a reforge (red) rune equipment at the same rarity level as an ingredient.
By increasing its rarity, you'll increase its base stats and both its level and skill level limit.
Note: Connect battle equipments require more of the just described ingredients than normal gear. From 3 stars to 4, you'll need 2 pieces, and from 4 to 5, you'll need 3 pieces.
This means that, in order to bring a 3 star base rarity equipment all the way to 5 stars, you'll need 4 copies of that item, while, for connect battle gear, you'll need 12 copies.
Increasing its level
Very simple, fuse your item with other stuff that you don't need and/or fusion (blue) gear to increase its level. If you use items of the same category as ingredients, you’ll get 10% more experience.
Anyways, if you're using fusion rune equipment, you should only use knives for weapons and armors, and rings for accessories, otherwise you'll waste them.
Increasing its skill level
Increasing a skill's level has 2 effects: it makes it a bit more powerful at each level up and, most importantly, it increases its activation chances.
There are 2 ways to do it.
The most common one is by using rune skill (rainbow) gear. Just like with fusion gear, only use knives with weapons and armors, and rings for accessories. Just ahead, you'll find a list on how many of them you should be using to increase your gear's skill level.
From level 1 to level 2: use a 1 star skill rune item (100% chance).
From level 2 to level 3: use a 1 star skill rune item (80% chance).
From level 3 to level 4: use two 1 star and one 2 stars skill skill rune item (100%), or three 1 star ones (90%)
From level 4 to level 5: success chances drop massively here, and reaching 100% chance is very though. So just use the best you have, but only do that if you have plenty of them.
The other way to get the job done, is to use, as ingredients, pieces of gear that have the same skill. Most of the times, this means using the very same item, but there are some exceptions, like, you can use those common blessed helms to increase your druid's cloak skill level as they have the exact same skill.
This mechanic will let you save some skill rune gear, and, most importantly, it will make all of 1 star rarity accessories quite good, as even if the actual stats they give are appalling even if you bring them at 5 stars, the passive bonuses they bring with their skill (and that can be leveled super easy by simply using the same items as ingredients during fusion) are pretty big, and shouldn't be underestimated.
Lastly, this is a great way to use your spare hero exclusive piece of equipments. If you want to save on skill fusion gear, you can use your spare mana summon versions of the item to increase the skill level on both the 2 versions of it.
--------------
Tokens
This game features many different tokens obtainable from the various events, however, even with those, there are bad and good ways to spend them, so let's talk a bit about it.
Blacksmith tokens
You can get those by selling items you don't need. The only things you should sell are gold rune equipments (which serve for this only purpose) and 2 stars equipment that you don't need and you can't use to level up skills on other pieces of gear. Everything else is better used to upgrade your items.
At the trader, you should use these to buy any of these 2 things:
3 stars reforge rune gear. If you need to increase an item's rarity, this is more efficient than buying copies of the same item (this ONLY applies to item that have a base rarity of 3 stars)
3 stars base rarity items. Since they can be quite rare to find, if you see an item you want, feel free to get it. Keep an eye out for purity rings and winged helms, as they are very powerful and you might want more copies of them, to use them on different heroes.
If you have plenty of them, then you might consider investing a few to refresh the store in order to quickly find what you need
Soul tokens
You can get these when you gain soul fragments of any hero that you already have at 5 stars, and most of them will actually come from mana summons. You can spend them to buy hero souls and hero exclusive equipments.
First, NEVER use them to buy 2 stars base rarity hero souls or mana summon versions of any equipment.
I'd also suggest to not spend them on 3 stars base rarity heroes that might come out from your standard diamond summons, because eventually, you'll get all of them.
The real bread and butter here are the 3 stars version of these special equipments, and, if you have plenty to spend, soul shards that belong to event exclusive heroes that are no longer available. Yeah, they're quite expensive, but since there's no other way to get those, at least it will never be a waste.
Arena tokens
Earned by participating in the Arena.
At the moment there ways to spend them are very limited. You should spend these to get Senna or Tyr soul shards (these are the only 2 arena exclusive heroes), but once you have maxed both of them, you can freely spend them on orb fragments.
Friend tokens
Earned mostly by assigning 2 of your heroes to be the mercenaries that players following you can use, and you can get some extra small amounts by using other people's mercenaries.
Spend them to buy mana bottles.
Onslaught tokens
Earned by progressing on the Valhalla Onslaught, you should use those ONLY to buy this event's exclusive equipment. Anything different is a complete waste.
Connect and boss specific tokens
Earned by participating in connect battles.
Connect tokens should be spent only to buy bangles, powerful accessories with good statistic and very powerful passive stat bonuses as their equipment skill. Again, if you have plenty of them, you can also try to refresh the connect tab to help you finding what you need.
A note on bangles: they are quite rare to find now, mostly because the connect tab has limited slots, and boss stuff has more chances of appearing there, so if recently there have been multiple connect bosses available, you'll struggle finding those.
Boss specific tokens should be used to buy their equipments, since you can earn the soul shards easily if you host your connect battles.
Guild and Legendary Guild tokens
Earned from participating in guild battles. You can also get the regular ones by completing daily missions and if other guild members help you in the guild tab.
Regular guild tokens (the green ones) should be spent to buy mana bottles.
Legendary ones can be spent to buy powerful equipments, but it takes a lot of time to earn them and it requires your guild be at least at rank A. It gets a lot better if your guild hits rank S.

There's only one person that I'd like to thank, and it's the wiki's author, Rosa X Baldr. His wiki has been an immense help for me to know the various heroes' details, and get started with the game. You should consult it to check more detailed information about heroes, gear, suggested builds. You can find it on reddit.
I hope this guide will be helpful to make you an efficient player, and I thank you for reading.
Lastly, I'm not really bothered to protect this work with copyrights or this kind of stuff, but please, if you post it anywhere else, just state that you're not the original author.
Good luck!

Fair Go: Wellington mum 'gobsmacked' after Auckland hotel burglary due to botched security

Fair Go: Wellington mum 'gobsmacked' after Auckland hotel burglary due to botched security
Tourists and travellers are being warned to be wary of popular travel booking websites after a terrifying midnight hotel break-in.
Wellingtonian Marie Donald used Agoda.com to book a room at the Metropolis building in Auckland for her and daughter Freya in August.
They were looking forward to spending time in the city, and going to the Katy Perry concert.
But their first night in the room proved to be a traumatic experience, after they were burgled as they slept.
“I try not to think about it… you know, thinking of somebody being in our apartment when I’ve got my child,” she said.
“As a mum, you’re thinking, ‘my God, that could’ve been really horrendous,’ you know… if we’d woke up. Thank God we didn’t.”
Turns out, the guests from the previous night had never checked out – and never handed in their swipe cards.
Instead, they returned the next evening and snuck into Marie and Freya’s room, stealing Marie’s wallet and perfume.
“The fridge door was open, which was a bit weird… And then I sort of said to her, ‘did you put the light on?’ and she said ‘no, no it wasn’t me mum’.”
Marie then realised she’d been burgled – the thieves going on a spending spree at petrol stations, a fast food outlet and a car wash in South Auckland.
At the time of booking, Marie thought she’d paid for a room at the building’s hotel – but it was actually a listing from property management company Cloud Inn.
“It just showed pictures of the apartments, but it wasn’t clear that it wasn’t through a hotel.”
The listing shows areas like the building’s pool and gym – which can be used by Cloud Inn guests – but also the hotel’s front desk, which cannot.
Cloud Inn also doesn’t have direct access to the Metropolis security system, and didn’t cancel the swipe cards when they weren’t returned – something Marie only learned afterwards.
“I was gobsmacked, it made me feel sick because that was something that could have been prevented,” she said.
“That’s hotel 101… if somebody’s not handed a key [in], you cancel it.”
Marie requested a refund from Cloud Inn, but the company refused.
It also refused to compensate her for the lost property – about $450.
Marie then asked Agoda for a refund, and tried to get the booking website to remove Cloud Inn’s listings.
It refused to take down Cloud Inn’s rooms but after being contacted by Fair Go, Agoda did agree to refund the room cost to Marie, as a “gesture of goodwill”.
Marie is disappointed Cloud Inn can still advertise rooms, if it can’t guarantee they’re secure.
But she was also gobsmacked to learn the Cloud Inn was claiming it too was a victim in the incident.
“How, how are they a victim? A victim of their own incompetence,” she said.
Marie tried to publish a review of the burglary on Agoda.com, but the website doesn’t allow reviews to mention “legal issues… such as theft”.
Security consultant Charlie O’Donnell says no matter which website, it always pays to read reviews carefully.
“Read in between the lines because they often don’t publish the bad reviews and when they do, they’re sometimes diluted in a favourable manner,” he said.
O’Donnell says no matter where you stay, always make sure there’s a physical lock that can be pulled across the door.
“They have a legal and a moral obligation to ensure people who are renting their properties are safe and secure. Minimum they should be giving them internal locks on the door so when they enter the apartment, you can lock the door – either with a deadbolt, throw bolt or chain,” he said.
The Metropolis body corporate told Fair Go it’s now changed the security settings so that swipe cards cannot bypass the door snib once it’s locked, and that the Cloud Inn – and other rental providers – only have swipe cards issued for the duration of each of their bookings.
The Government has today announced a new pathway to fast track outstanding residential insurance claims from the Christchurch earthquake.
The Greater Christchurch Claims Resolution Service (GCCRS) has been established to provide homeowners a free to access, impartial pathway to settle claims, Earthquake Commission Minister Megan Woods said.
“Our new one stop shop will provide independent case management to bring together fast-tracked claims handling, specialist engineering support, psychosocial support, and legal expertise to help resolve claims,” Dr Woods said.
“Claimants will also be given access to a new online tool where they can see clearly what the next step is for their claim, who is going to do it, and when it will be done by.”
“GCCRS will operate on a ‘no wrong door’ basis. Anyone with an unresolved claim can call or come to the new office on Cashel Street and our settlement support brokers will tailor the approach to suit each individual situation. “

The service was set up following the report from Dr Woods’s Independent Ministerial Advisor into the Christchurch earthquake response.
The service is being hosted and operated by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE).
“I encourage anyone who has an unresolved claim or a potential concern with a repair to contact the new service, ” she said.
Exercise NZ chief executive Richard Beddie has defended gym classes for children, saying that calls for kids to be outside more or to play sport aren’t helpful.
Mr Beddie said less than 10 per cent of Kiwi children do enough physical activity, with gyms and community groups starting to offer classes targeting children in response.
“Children is 10 per cent, that means in the future we’re going to have some major problems with obesity and type 2 diabetes for that population, we already have that,” Mr Beddie told TVNZ1’s Breakfast,
“This is part of the solution for that and having some offerings for children to be active.”
Mr Beddie said the fact we had this issue meant calls for more sport of more outside time for kids were redundant.
“If it was easy as that we wouldn’t have the problem in the first place,” he said.
“The problem with saying they should be outside … it’s clearly not working, we need to change something, playing outdoors is part of the solution just as exercise activity in a class might be part of the solution.”
“The problem with sport is it appeals to certain people, particularly those that have a competitive element, but sport actually turns a whole bunch of people off.”
“Simply saying it should be all about sport, it’s a very 20th century solution to the problem.”
Gym classes, in which Mr Beddie said kids didn’t squat or bench press, were often convenient with children exercising as their parents did.
“Generally, one of the big benefits of this, it can be done at the same time as adults are exercising, cause that’s part of the challenge too, we need to be active, if you’ve got kids part of the challenge is where do I take them or what do I do when I’m working out.”
Judith Collins says the Government is in a panic about the fuel price crisis and has called for them to cut the regional fuel tax.
Yesterday, the Government announced it was prioritising the passing of the Commerce Amendment Bill when the House resumes next week with Jacinda Ardern saying she’s “hugely concerned” at the prices consumers are currently paying at the pump.

On TVNZ1’s Breakfast today, Ms Collins said the Government’s plans didn’t go far enough.
“If the Government wants to do something right now, it could cut that tax, say we’re not going to have that regional fuel tax, 11.5 cents a litre in Auckland plus everything else that’s going on,” she said.
“Right now, with the fuel prices so high and the Government saying it’s all so terrible, they’ve just worked that out, at 11.5 cents a litre in Auckland alone plus everything else round the country, right now is the time for the Government to say we’re going to put that on hold while we sort it out.”
Mrs Collins said for every litre of petrol sold, $1.25 went to the Government and 31 cents went to the fuel companies.
“The dollar has dropped, oil prices internationally have gone up, every time that happens, the Government’s tax take goes up because it’s basically a percentage of the fuel.”
“In my electorate Papakura for instance, people have to travel around, don’t have much choice at all and they’re the people paying for it.”
New Zealand’s economy could not sustain an emissions target that kept global warming below 1.5°C, a climate expert has said.
In the most extensive warning yet on the risks of climate change, scientists on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) say limiting warming to 1.5C, rather than 2C, is necessary to mitigate the worst impacts of climate change.
That half degree difference would change the height of sea level rise, the survival of coastal ecosystems and the availability of food and water resources, the scientists say..
Limiting warming to that target is possible but would require unprecedented changes, Prof Jim Skea, co-chair of the IPCC, said.

Victoria University professor of climate science Tim Naish said the target was not possible without technology – that doesn’t yet exist – to extract carbon dioxide from the air.
“To me, it’s an academic idea. I think that without technology we’re just not going to make it.
“Although in an ideal world it would avoid a lot of climate change impact, my sense is we’ve just left that too late.”
Prof Naish said target was not viable for New Zealand because the economy relies on the meat and dairy industry.
“We’ve got to reduce production and have less cows and sheep. The problem with that is it would tank our economy in the short-term. We can’t do that too quickly, so there’s no silver bullet for New Zealand.”
“That’s why I say, 1.5 is extremely hard. Two [degrees] is a challenge but achievable, but 1.5 is really pushing the limits of the possible rates of change.”
He said the Paris Agreement, to keep a global temperature rise below 2C this century, was still achievable and New Zealand was going to show global leadership with the Zero Carbon Bill currently being drafted.
“The pathway that the government is exploring to be carbon zero by 2050 is not super-scary and is quite achievable and actually brings some fairly positive benefits to New Zealand’s economy if we follow it.”

It’s always hard for me to place who would actually be invited to Andreagami’s wedding because of the “Byakuya factor™️”. I know for a fact none of the original cast from the non-de//spair timeline will be invited on his behalf due to his ending dialogue in U//DP and DRS:

Compared to others’ graduating dialogue:

Byakuya shows no hints or even a scrap of heart-felt emotion towards leaving the academy or his classmates, even despite multiple dialogues of people at least noticing some sort of change in him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Though it seems minor compared to the main timeline. He’s still impersonal in his responses and lacks care to the other person or what they’re communicating — as quite simply, he doesn’t care about the person he’s talking to beyond what he can use them for. It’s very obvious he just saw this as another footnote in his life of accomplishments and nothing more. Like most people, he moves on past high school and the people there.
But in the main timeline? I’m still not sure. He’s a great deal more respectful, cooperative, and recognises others’ worth in a more emotional sense — he demonstrates an ability to empathise; which is, in all essence, who Byakuya really was behind the facade. But his interactions with others are still fairly impersonal as it’s fairly obvious he struggles with emotional connection and/or doesn’t care to make any. Even at the end of U//DG when he remembers Mak//oto’s line here:
Tumblr media
He’s not smiling at the reflection of Ma//koto saying it. He’s clearly remembering it contextually as hope overcoming despair and a hope of a better future — something Byakuya values.
To further Byakuya’s confusion over emotional attachments, in the D//R2 epilogue where he expresses concern over the survivors turning back into Ult. Despair and Kirigiri’s comment that the feelings they cling on are proof they are not who they were in the past, he has this to say:
Tumblr media
Although there’s understanding in his tone of how he vocalises this line, it also shows he isn’t hopeful about feelings and emotional connections driving people’s actions still, as he personally cannot empathise or relate to that.
To which Byakuya cannot relate to, he cannot understand (proven in chapter 4, T/HH).
His impersonal nature towards the survivors and his lack of understanding regarding emotional connection proves he doesn’t care for the survivors in a deep manner — his positive actions towards them are clearly driven by respect and duty, nothing more.
And to be honest, I wouldn’t want to change this for Andreagami’s AU either, it’s his character. Sure, he’s emotionally attached to S/I a great deal, but he still gets confused over her emotional responses at times and it’s developed in a way that wouldn’t extend to other characters.
I think if it were ultimately up to Byakuya, he would prefer it were just him and S/I in their wedding day — completely private. Maybe in the non-de//spair timeline they would have to have a wedding for show due to his family, but their actual wedding would be just the two of them.
But I don’t really know for sure, tell me what you think!
