how much creative leeway do you get with a jigsaw trap? like if you wake up chained to a chair and the tape says “you must fill up this container with fluid or you die” and there’s like, syringes and stuff that makes it clear that he wants you to use your blood, but instead you piss in it, do you win or do you die harder?

Can you please drop the name of the KJ Parker book involving contracts? A (brief) browse of his works didn’t make it obvious but my silly paralegal heart is intrigued…
So the KJ Parker novellas I'm talking about are primarily Prosper's Demon, Inside Man, and Pulling the Wings off Angels. However, while I did enjoy the others, Pulling the Wings off Angels is my favorite---it should shock no one that I love infernal/heavenly deals, moral arithmetic, and trying to out-lawyer god.
(The other series I'm looking into is published by Parker's alter ego, but still sounds up my alley.)
However, maybe you're asking for the other series that ties legalese to magic---in which case, I would look into the Craft Sequence from Max Gladstone. Admittedly, I haven't read all of it, but Three Parts Dead/Four Roads Cross is one of my favorite duologies, and I could have read about Tara Abernathy, her first job out of law school, and all the headaches (and power, and conniving, and history, truth, fellow feeling) she encounters there, for much more than two books.

What the fuck is Spiral supposed to be. What were they thinking. Did they start writing the script and somehow forget it was supposed to be a saw film or something

The more I think about how the law must work in the Pokemon universe, the more of a migraine I develop.
Because how the fuck does the law accommodate little animals that have the power of a nuclear fucking bomb? How do you handle that EVERYONE HAS AT LEAST A FEW OF THESE THINGS.
There's canonical time travel. Multiverse theory is real AND it's a common occurrence to find people and Pokemon from different worlds from your own. ULTRA BEASTS AS A WHOLE AND HOW THEY DON'T EVEN COUNT AS POKEMON--
I'm just. We've all seen that "Pokedex entries and war crimes" video that's like three hours long, yeah? How does the justice system deal with that. It's got to be such a shitshow.
Fuck the corruption of Ace Attorney law. Pokemon law is where the real horror lies.

i also figured out why ive been drawn to police procedurals for so long despite distrusting cops since kindergarten (long story) and it's bc they're part soap opera part horror drama. every time my dad hears my sib & i watching CPD he thinks it's a scary movie . meanwhile sib & i are cackling at the conservatism and melodrama . being a fan of this type is so inch resting bc lefty art ppl think you genuinely like the police if you're amused by any fake cop, and conservatives & normies don't get why you're doing queer theory w the fake boys in blue

This is the Lock picking lawyer and what I have for you today is this heavily customized torture headgear of sorts secured with a run of the mill Brinks padlock. We've had Brinks locks on the show before, but I think Jigsaw didn't expect me to recognize the lock with the Brinks logo obscured. Normaly I would use a barrel pick to defeat this lock but since I was kidnapped we'll have to make due with a pick from our aurroundings. This stiff wire will do nicely. Bind on 1, nothing on 2, strong click on 3, click on 4. Let's go back, click on one and we're open. Lets do that again. Click on 1, bind on 2, click on 3, strong click on 4, back to 1 and we're free. While this device certainly LOOKS imposing which is this devicexs main strength since securing the device to the victem is clearly not a priority to Jigsaw. In any case if you have any questions please comment and subscribe. As always thank you and have a wonderful day.
*jigsaw voice* hello lock picking lawyer. you've made a name for yourself showing people how to break the law. but today it is you that will be- hey. HEY. KNOCK THAT OFF

sorry I know this isn't really important and don't want to bother you, but Jojowiki doesn't call Squalo (the Clash user) or Tizziano young men? It just says man.
oh shit you're right! I don't know how I missed that yeah Squalo should definitely be on the list. Thanks for checking!

When Should I Use a Trust Instead of a Will in California?
When planning your estate in California, you might wonder whether a trust or a will is the better choice for managing and distributing your assets. While both serve similar purposes, a trust offers distinct advantages in certain situations, such as avoiding probate, providing privacy, and ensuring a smooth transfer of assets. In California, a trust can often simplify complex estates and protect beneficiaries more effectively than a will alone. Here’s a look at when using a trust might be the right option.
