I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY (if I get small details wrong forgive me bUT)

I think it can be said that Riggs knew about Enorace, and didn’t like it… in 2020, the ship very much existed, and he was somewhat involved in the online space… so he would’ve seen one of the most common ships here and there. Therefore, he sloppily tried to split them up, as they’re the only ones by the end of TDoDA that get into romantic at the very least associations with people apart from Jacob and Noor, Enoch with a crush on Francesca and Horace getting with Julius.

I just laugh because they’re a bit sloppy, definitely rushed, and by their position in the book I can tell Riggs had two aims by the end of the last book:

Confirm inclusivity (giving Horace his gay, at the expense of enorace for whatever the hell we got with Julius)

Make sure we knew he wanted Enoch to be straight and that him and Horace ARENT A THING GUYS THEY LIKE FIND EACHOTHER ANNOYING OR SOMETHING

Enoch and Ymbrines

Bet you didn't know Enoch has a taste in Ymbrines. I think in Map of Days Miss Cuckoo said Enoch was brave and I think he took a slight interest in Miss Cuckoo. When all of Miss Peregrine's wards except Hugh Fiona Claire and Olive went to see Miss Tern, once they entered the loop Enoch said something about when he gets back to Devils Acre he'll get written up on Muckraker and maybe Francesca will finally go on a date with him. When they saw Miss Tern, Enoch compared her to Miss Hawksbill and asked how they were related because Miss Tern was young and Miss Hawksbill is old. But all that aside since Miss Tern's loop is collapsed then that's why Miss Tern is so young, and that Miss Hawksbill was probably as young as her beforehand. Enoch said "Dead a week hence, what a waste of beauty." Emma and Bronwyn told him that Miss Tern is an Ymbryne and how she a lot older. Enoch said "Ymbryne's need love too, just because they aren't allowed to marry doesn't mean-" then got cut off by Emma and her elbow. Personally Enoch and the Ymbrines aren't that bad of a match. Enoch can't marry of 'em so all he can't do is make up scenarios in his mind or some-thing else. Just sayin' for the first step to make Enoch love you for the Enoch fans is to become an Ymbryne.

P.S. (Headcanon) Enoch prolly had a crush on Miss Peregrine's because she is an Ymbryne. I know it sounds gross and I hope it isn't true but with my 3 pisces of evidence (or more pisces of evidence I don't know) kinda makes sense... Ew why did I just make that up. Also another one to lighten the mood he prolly asked out Francesca a lot and she has said no. A lot.

Did I already do this? Yes. Am I doing it again? Also yes. So I found out about more MPHFPC ships, so I’m going to share my absolutely pointless opinions again ✌️. Except this time I’m not going to organize into ships I hate and ships I love because I’m lazy.

Victor x Millard (Villard): I heard about this recently, and while I wasn’t aware of its existence before a few days ago, I like it! Theoretically it sounds like a good ship. Victor x Enoch (Venoch): Okay… sure…? I’m not sure about this one, it’s fine, but I wouldn’t count it as one of MY ships.

Miss P x Miss Cuckoo (Perekoo or something): While I love my lesbians and they seem to have chemistry, they can’t date because they’re ymbrynes. But otherwise, yeah! I like them.

Enoch x Francesca (IDK): I know this is technically canon, but no. I think that Enoch only “crushed” on ymbrynes is because they aren’t allowed to date so his friends would think he’s straight but wouldn’t push him to date them since he can’t. (Very smart of you gay boy, very smart).

Jacob x Millard (Jillard): ……….yeah. Why not? I can see it from Millard’s side, but not Jacob’s. So I think Millard may have had a crush on Jacob but not the other way around.

This was definitely not as long as the other one but I covered some more ships. (I hope I spelt ymbryne correctly). Again if I didn’t talk about a ship you want me to, I definitely will if you ask!

Remember how she was one of the only people in the room who could translate so many of those languages the prophecy was recorded in?

Caul knew about it too.

Unless he had the help of Myron (and I'm pretty sure Myron couldn't translate all those languages), who could've helped him translate it? Francesca.

(While I was typing this down, I realized that the man in Hollow City, in the hospital bed at the loop where they found Miss Wren, could speak a hundred languages. He was the one mouthing 'Call' (which is basically 'Caul'), so maybe Caul had used him to translate the prophecy.)

(I was going to post this, but then I realized that his soul had been removed. What if Caul had eaten his soul, and he was the last person that man saw, and that was why he was saying 'Call' ('Caul') over and over again. Remember Caul referring to the taste of the Peculiar soul? I think Caul was referring to this man's. What I think is that instead of feeding it to a Hollow, he ate it himself, and used the momentary peculiarity to translate the prophecy.)

ok so

bit rambly but i’m in the middle of procrastinating writing an essay and my brain is fudged up from illness BUT:

i really feel like i’m the only one i’ve ever met who isn’t the biggest fan of Noor, but i’m not and i never have been. don’t get me wrong, she’s a great character in herself, but i feel like we only really see her through the view of her as “Jacob’s girlfriend”, and her story was so much more interesting when it was focusing on her background with V and overall just her as an individual; she needed more development as an actual character but she just feels like more of an add on for Jacob bc he can’t handle being single /s

some more seriously underdeveloped characters: Althea (she would’ve been such a good character if we just had more of a backstory for her, and she should’ve been there for longer </3) , Francesca (would’ve DEFFO been super interesting on some kind of expedition), LILY (imagine if we somehow got to have a preview of the blog which she most definitely runs, and just her in general, don’t bring in a mysterious, light-academia music-lover bookworm ONE TIME and then not even include her later in the series <//3)

Mphfpc Headcanons, Part 2:

Part 1 of my headcanons: here

Contains spoilers for A Map of Days, The Conference of the Birds and The Desolations of Devil’s Acre

Miss Peregrine:

She can play the piano really really good

Ymbrynes/Academy:

They learn classical dances at the Academy

Miss Cuckoo and Miss Peregrine:

When Miss Cuckoo arrives at the house, she flashes Enoch a smile and he turns completely red with embarrassment because he remembers their first conversation

On the first evening Miss Cuckoo talked with the kids, that she may live with them now but she doesn’t want them to think, that she wants to replace Miss Peregrine in any way

The kids however immediately accept her as their second mum

The kids and some of the Ymbrynes-in-training bet how long it will take Miss P and Miss C to become an actual couple

Emma: "I think maybe around three weeks.”

Enoch: "Do you know the bird? They will definitely take longer than three weeks…if they even confess at all.”

What they don’t know is that the two are already a couple (probably since A Map of Days or longer)

The face of the kids is priceless when Miss Cuckoo and Miss Peregrine tell them

Emma: “Seems like you have to give the bet back, Enoch, since we were all wrong.”

Miss Peregrine: “You did a bet about that?!”

Miss Peregrine is more strict while Miss Cuckoo is more silly, so the Ymbrynes-in-training learn everything they need while still enjoying their childhood and having a good time.

 As already mentioned, the Ymbrynes learn dancing at the Academy so once in a while they take the music outside and dance and celebrate outside

Ofc Enoch got his chance to dance with Francesca quite to the amusement of Miss Cuckoo and Miss Peregrine

Miss Cuckoo is taller than Miss Peregrine

Since Miss Peregrine now is the leader of the Council of Ymbrynes, Head Ymbryne of the Academy and has her own kids, Miss Cuckoo takes care that she gets enough sleep

Adding to my headcanons I also absolutly love these Perekoo headcanons!

I just realized that Francesca is going to be the first ymbryne to graduate with Miss Peregrine a teacher, since miss A passed away before Francesca officially graduated. For Francesca it will be like receiving a diploma from an older sister. It warms my heart.
