¡Hoy! en Ciencias cotidianas hablaremos de los "fractales".

Se definen como un objeto geométrico cuya estructura básica, fragmentada o aparentemente irregular, se repite a diferentes escalas.​

A finales del siglo XIX surgieron conjuntos muy irregulares que poseían propiedades geométricas y analíticas sorprendentes. El primero de estos conjuntos fue el conjunto de Cantor (1890), y a continuación aparecieron muchos otros (triángulo de Sierpinski, curva de Koch, esponja de Menger, curva de Peano, etc.)

A continuacion uno de mis fractales favoritos

El triángulo de Sierpinski

La construcción geométrica del triángulo de Sierpinski es la siguiente. Se parte de un triángulo equilátero T. A este triángulo se le quita el triángulo (sin bordes) que resulta de unir los puntos medios de sus lados.

En este primer paso tenemos tres nuevos triángulos T1, T2 y T3. A cada uno de ellos le aplicamos el proceso anterior. Así sucesivamente, tenemos 3, 9, 27, 81, … triángulos, cada uno de ellos una copia a escala 1/2 de los triángulos de la etapa anterior.
