Alison Knowing Julian, he probably reads these like it was a damn bestseller. Becca, though, reporting to her is a waste of time. I'm surprised if she's able to make sense of a single sentence.

Alison Copying the missing patients to the file will do. What was the last week...
Tumblr media
Alison Patient: Male Werewolf. Procedure: Inguinal Hernia Repair. Anesthetic Used: Propofol and Sevoflurane.
Daytime surgery, scheduled to finish before 4 PM. After administering general anesthesia using an initial dose of propofol and maintenance with sevoflurane, the patient was fully sedated and immobile. The procedure was completed without complications, and the patient tolerated the anesthesia and surgery well.
Upon awakening from anesthesia, the patient experienced strong nausea, which was managed with antiemetics. His symptoms resolved over a short recovery period.
Prior to his supernatural transformation at 8 PM, an additional dose of ketorolac was administered intravenously. The surgical wound remained securely stitched and intact throughout the transformation, with no signs of reopening or complications. The patient tolerated the transformation well and was discharged in stable condition.
Tumblr media
Alison ...The transformation can be handled when we can schedule around it, no surprises there, but it's rare for werewolves to even need minor surgeries. It's the reports about emergency surgeries that are horrendous... developing a procedure to identify them without access to the patient file seems a viable option.

There was a girl... Curious girl Her mind drifted away, her heart was on the run... --- Okay sorry I started with "This is a Story of a Girl" and then I saw the opening and I took it! I have been an avid fan of Visual Kei since 1999, going into Jpop and Kpop with TVXQ, Brown Eyed Girls and SHINee. Junsu and TaBlo brought me to Korean music through a commercial with BoA and Jin Bora. Anyways.. I have never bought an album. I wasn't raised in a very well off family, we were comfortable and if we worked at it we could get the cool videogames and anime and things but. It wasn't until I moved out that I could buy myself stuff. I've just always had other things I had to buy or put money towards. So.. I gave my husband the biggest kirakira eyes I could. And I got to purchase my first album. I am so pleased with how hard Jeff Satur, Studio on Saturn and the printing company/album designers worked for this. It is absolutely stunning! I get it. I get the joy and fun that comes out of these albums. I knew it was addictive. Not me smacking my hands over SHINee albums. Can I just say the PAPER QUALITY on this beast?! Hello!? It's wonderful. My texture sensitivities were like: Yas. Rub that poster--wait no that's weird. I take that back. Cut that out. Mar's Demons Say No. Everyone must see your true self.

It's so funny how much lore there is about fishers being vicious demon animals that can and will murder you, your pets, and your kids. Including a lot weird conspiracies about the government introducing them to places. In reality, they're just funny very shy little guys who mostly hunt rodents and rabbits, and primarily dwell in interior woodland habitats away from human disturbance. And they look like this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are very few records of them hurting humans. They do occasionally have conflicts with pets, but hey, so can... nearly any animal your pets encounter, especially other cats and dogs! Can't blame wildlife for fighting back when cornered by a dog. Supervising your pets outdoors to prevent run-ins with wildlife is just part of being a responsible pet owner in rural and wooded areas. Hell, cities, even! Urban coyotes are more common than you'd think.
Next time some old fart tells you they're hyper-vicious little monsters that are terrorizing the woods, know that they're actually just cool little predators that want nothing to do with you.
Unless you're a porcupine, then watch out. They've really carved out a niche for themselves re: obtaining delicious porcupine meat without turning into a pincusion.

_____________________________________________________
Neighbors, it appears there has been an air quality alert sent out in New York due to smoke from wildfires in Canada lingering over into the city. City officials are urging New Yorkers with heart or breathing issues to limit outdoor activities.
_____________________________________________________
There are currently 150 wildfires happening in east central Canada (Quebec) with 110 of them being deemed out of control. The forest fires began emerging a little over a month ago. Pictures and videos of bridges and buildings throughout the city surrounded in an orange-like haze are beginning to trend on social media platforms as the air quality index reached a 342 compared to its usual 100 index.
_____________________________________________________
New York has been listed as the most polluted state of any other major world city this past Wednesday as the air continues to get worse. Weather sources are now comparing the levels of air quality to that of India and New Delhi.
_____________________________________________________
As of right now, New York will reportedly continue under an Air Quality Health Advisory until Thursday morning due to wind patterns pushing the smoke further towards the city. Fox weather meteorologist Stephen McCloud tells us the city should start to see improvement in the air by Sunday night.
Sending love to the citizens of nyc, Canada, northeast and other parts of the country that are affected by this air pollution crisis.

Video Automatically Generated by Faceless.Video:
Agentic AI refers to AI systems designed to operate as agents that can autonomously perform tasks, make decisions, and interact with their environment and other systems or agents. These AI agents are goal-oriented, capable of sensing their environment, processing information, and taking actions to achieve specific objectives. Unlike traditional AI, which may require explicit instructions for each task, agentic AI systems can act independently within predefined parameters to achieve their goals.
Key Features of Agentic AI:
Autonomy:Agentic AI systems operate independently, making decisions and taking actions without needing constant human supervision.Goal-Oriented Behavior:These AI agents are designed with specific goals or objectives, and they use their capabilities to work towards achieving these goals.Environmental Awareness:Agentic AI can perceive and interpret its environment using sensors, data feeds, or other inputs. It adapts its behavior based on changes in the environment.Decision-Making and Problem-Solving:These AI agents use algorithms to evaluate options, solve problems, and make decisions that align with their goals.Interactivity and Communication:Agentic AI can interact with other systems, agents, or humans, exchanging information and coordinating actions to achieve collective objectives.Learning and Adaptation:Some agentic AI systems can learn from their experiences, improving their performance and adapting to new challenges over time.Task Execution:These AI agents can execute tasks within their domain of expertise, whether it’s navigating a physical environment, processing data, or coordinating with other agents.
Benefits of Agentic AI:
Efficiency in Task Automation:Agentic AI can automate complex tasks, freeing up human resources for more strategic activities.Improved Decision-Making:By processing large amounts of data and considering multiple variables, agentic AI can make more informed decisions than humans might.Scalability:Agentic AI systems can be deployed at scale, managing large, complex operations across multiple domains simultaneously.Adaptability:These systems can adapt to new environments or changing conditions, ensuring that they remain effective even as circumstances evolve.Enhanced Collaboration:Agentic AI can work alongside humans and other AI systems, facilitating better teamwork and coordination, particularly in complex environments.Cost Savings:Automating routine or complex tasks with agentic AI can reduce labor costs and minimize errors, leading to significant cost savings.24/7 Operation:Like autonomous AI, agentic AI can operate continuously, providing services or monitoring systems around the clock.
Target Audience for Agentic AI:
Enterprise Operations:Large businesses use agentic AI to automate complex processes, manage supply chains, optimize logistics, and enhance customer service.Healthcare:Agentic AI is employed in personalized medicine, patient monitoring, and automated diagnostics, where it can operate independently to improve outcomes.Financial Services:Financial institutions leverage agentic AI for automated trading, risk assessment, fraud detection, and customer interaction.Robotics and Automation:In industries like manufacturing, agentic AI powers robots that can operate autonomously in dynamic environments, adapting to new tasks or challenges.Smart Cities and Infrastructure:Governments and urban planners use agentic AI to manage traffic, energy consumption, public safety, and other aspects of urban living.Agriculture:Agentic AI is applied in precision agriculture, where it manages crop monitoring, irrigation, pest control, and other tasks autonomously.Defense and Security:Defense organizations deploy agentic AI for autonomous surveillance, threat detection, and coordination of unmanned systems.Consumer Technology:In the consumer space, agentic AI powers smart assistants, autonomous home devices, and personalized user experiences.
Comparison with Autonomous AI:
Autonomy vs. Agency:While both autonomous and agentic AI operate independently, agentic AI is specifically designed to achieve defined goals within a particular environment, often interacting with other agents or systems to do so.Interaction:Agentic AI often involves more interaction, whether with humans, other AI agents, or systems, as it’s designed to work in a collaborative or multi-agent setting.
Agentic AI is particularly valuable in environments where collaboration, decision-making, and adaptive behavior are essential, offering significant benefits across various industries.

Hello! I saw your post on rain gardens and assorted topics and I would love to know more. I recently moved to a several acre property my parents recently purchased and there are two boggy patches we want to rewetland. Legally, they are classified as 'poorly draining soil', but the previous owners filled in a cattle pond and there's still evidence of soggy tolerant plants hanging on despite their attempts at leveling. We'd like to put in the pond again but with more focus on wild animals and native plants this time. (I want camas and frogs!)
I'm in Oregon, have access to summer irrigation water with very little agricultural runoff, and we have a modest budget for digging equipment and plants and help, but we're not sure where to look for information on how to do this right. Do you have any suggestions or resources for this? Most of the info I've found is for cattle ponds, decorative non-native ponds, and edible fish stocked ponds. No one seems to WANT frogs.
Thank you for any help!
Sorry about the delayed response, I wanted to do some research before replying but I’m having a long Covid flair and need to limit my computer time. I’ll return to this in a week or two if I can, but in the meantime here’s some very generic advice. (I live in the Northeast and most of my knowledge/resources are local.)
Like I said in my previous post, the first step in wetland restoration is restoring the hydrology. This can be very site specific! But since you know the cattle pond was filled, you already know where the water was, and likely wants to be again - therefor I’d start by digging up that area or a place nearby. You can probably use the initial construction steps for cattle ponds etc when laying out the pond. The main change will be for step 2: adding native plants! This will require some research to find native plant nurseries and/or organizations - conservation groups like Audubon or the Nature Conservancy should be able to point you in the right direction. You can also try contacting the botany and/or ecology professors at your local university.
As to the frogs - if you provide a source of fresh water + native plants, they will come. My grandparents had a small, decorative pond and it was packed full of frogs, at least until a local heron started visiting for breakfast. (Okay, final advice is to have enough vegetation so the frogs can hide!)
Best of luck! :)
