I'm gonna go ahead and bet that the old trucks perform better too. Not that performance matters to most people who drive pick-up trucks anymore.

i could never be a hunter for many reasons but one of the big ones is that i just hate road trips. i don’t like being in the car for more than like an hour. i would slowly go insane if i had to drive across the country all the time like sam and dean do. if i were dean when he met castiel in s4 from that moment on i would pray to him any time i had to drive anywhere. make him my heavenly transportation angel. you know cas would do it for dean if he asked. then i’d cry when the angels lost their wings.

Reading “Green Arrow: The Archer’s Quest” and knowing that Lian as “Shoes” stripped cars for parts back in “Catwoman”, I now want to see a subplot where Roy and Lian restore Ollie and Hal’s truck as a father-daughter project with some help from Wally sometime in the future.

Or I will write it myself as soon as I’m more knowledgeable about vintage car restoration.

They stop off at a road-side fruit stand just as the sky is starting to turn scarlet at the edges, and Dean buys a flat of orange-red peaches while Cas pokes around the displays of local key chains and souvenirs beside the register. He picks out a tiny, palm-sized jar of cherry preserves for Jack, and something spicy and sweet for Donna and Jody. Claire gets a postcard, and a cheerful little peach magnet.

They sit on the tailgate to eat, juice running down their fingers.

Cas says,

"I always thought it should have been a peach."

Dean turns to look at him, and catches his wet, open mouth.

"What?"

"Or a plum. Something with a stone in the middle. In the garden of Eden."

Dean laughs, a hot puff of air,

"Isn't that blasphemy?"

Cas gives a broad-shouldered shrug. Arms lifting slightly, and then falling again.

"I wasn't there personally, but I thought it was obvious that the original sin should have been messier. It should be something that bleeds."
