“Full-blown arsonist” @forasecondtherewedwon let’s add it to the list. I have high hopes for us headlining at Burning Man with a name like that.

Well he certainly escalated from baby pyro to full-blown arsonist, but what’s one more felony at this point, am I right?

Listen, listen, listen--

Character A is a Kinky motherfucker, and they don’t normally sneeze in public, unless it’s really, very necessary. It really embarrasses them to sneeze around anyone, and just the presence of strangers is usually enough incentive for them to hold their sneezes back, or at least hide their face and stifle them. The only person A hates sneezing in front of more than strangers is their crush (and classmate), character B.

One day, A’s getting coffee before their class with B, and they decide to bring them some coffee too. A walks into class a bit early, glad to see B standing at the window. B thanks A for the drink, takes the lids off the coffees to see whose is whose, and takes theirs with a smile. (I know that’s unrealistic and the café would write which was which, but shut up for a second and hear me out.) A turns to walk to their seat, and it’s right then that they get a stabbing tickle deep in their nose. They try to sniff it away, but that doesn’t help, and pretty soon they know sneezing is unavoidable. And whether they like it or not, it’s happening now. They know they have about five seconds (ten if they’re lucky) to turn away and stifle as quietly as they can. Problem is, they have a piping-hot cup of coffee with no lid in their hand, and nowhere to put it down. To make matters worse, B--thinking A was leaving--has turned back to the window they were previously looking out of.

So in 5-10 seconds, to avoid scalding their hands, A has to both get B’s attention, and communicate to B that they need to take A’s cup for a moment while they... sneeze. Right in front of B.

(Lots of different things could ensue here, but I’ll write one possible outcome out for my dick’s sake.)

“Hey, B,” A begins tentatively, “I need you too h--hihh--hold this forasecond--!”

“Hm?” B turns in time to see A’s eyes flit shut, and takes the coffee from them just quickly enough that A won’t spill it. However, this doesn’t allow A any time to turn their body away, or stifle, or even cover at all. All they can do is turn their head as far away from B as they can manage, and direct an irritated double towards their own shoulder.

“Sorry! I didn’t have time to cover; I’m so sorry,” A says, as it occurs to them that they might have sprayed B, “did I...?” They’re unable to even get the s-word out. A is blushing up to their ears.

“No, no! You’re alright, no worries,” B says, sympathetically holding A’s coffee out to them.

“Ok, thanks, sorry,” A says all in one breath, taking their drink and hurrying back to their seat.

(You can decide whether or not they misted B. Add-ons are encouraged.)
