Antiverse Revised Character Profile: Hemlock

Miss me? I'm not particularly proud of this entry, but I've broken my procrastination streak and I'm not about to let get me again. Hope you like this read, and I'm really looking forward to questions. After a year of nothing but Goddamn porn bots but anyways, let's get started.

Powers/Abilities:

-Chlorokinesis: Fear the tangling vines, the crushing cover of moss. Unlike his prime universe counterparts, who can create flora, Hemlock commands it by burrowing his legs into vegetation and injecting it with special hormones, creating stronger, deadlier versions.

-Spiked Vines: Careful, the thorns pierce deep. Hemlock has four spiked vines growing from his back, each lined with razor sharp thorns. These tendrils can be used to whip his opponents for serious damage or grab onto objects and foes. These vines are also covered in microscopic barbed hairs, which sting like fiberglass.

-Bio-Toxins: Even beautiful flowers can kill slowly. Hemlock’s body produces a variety of powerful toxins and poisonous chemicals, which can be secreted through his legs. He can also imbue any plant life he enhances with these chemicals.

Physical Description: Tazaage has more in common with the Flourana of the Ben Prime’s universe in terms of appearance. His oval shaped head sits upon a thick neck and broad shoulders. His muscular upper half and arms appear to be composed of vine-like vegetation, and are covered in tree bark armor that encompasses his forearms, shoulders, chest and lower abdomen. His upper half tapers off into a slim waist and three pairs of legs, each tipped with venom producing spines. Additionally, smaller spines line the palms of his hands and his tendrils. His skin is a slightly sickly green color, and various mossy growths on his chest and head are a more natural wood-brown color. The Antitrix symbol is located on his stomach.

Backstory: Paradise is rare thing, especially in the Antiverse. It is Tazaage’s duty to ensure this remains true forever. He was born on Flors Verdance, a virtual Garden of Eden in the Antiverse: an Eden under eternal invasion. From a very young age he was told stories of the birth of the paradise they lived upon: of the Mother Earth that spawned them and of their sacred duty to keep her majestic beauty in balance… and of the day they came. So called Refugees from beyond the stars, begging for protection against their enemies. In their younger, more altruistic days, the Flourana protected these souls from their foes, and in return they would help maintain the balance of life.

How naïve they were. Eventually, more “refugees” arrived and upset the balance. Flors Verdance’s ecosystem could not keep up as it was pushed further towards the brink. Eventually the Flourana could take it no longer and demanded the “refugees” leave. But they were met not with words, but with savagery, for the refugees revealed themselves as invaders intent on claiming the planet for its resources. In a titanic struggle, the Flourana pushed the invaders off their world, but much of had been devastated by the conflict. The invaders would always return, seeking what was not theirs. With the enemy ever at their doorstep, Tazaage steadfastly performed his duty as protector Flors Verdance. Then one day an invader came not for the life of the planet, but for Tazaage himself…

Personality: Tazaage is an unforgiving normally stoic individual. His dispassionate demeanor and soft-spoken manner bely a hidden sadistic streak and skills in the art of terror tactics, which he has no qualms using. Tazaage has spent most of his life fighting to protect his home, and will do whatever is necessary to achieve it.

Influence on Kevin: Kevin’s empathy takes a huge dive as Hemlock, which can make him especially callous or cruel to others.

these gifs are very bad but i need to talk about how feral ben goes without gwen in this movie, and how ready he is to just WRECK azmuth.

The first time Ben meets this great genius, this person he has been told to respect, who has given him the opportunity to help people, he’s nervous. But Ben meets him and he sees that azmuth may be intimidating and powerful and just as genius as the tales tell— but he is not kind. He is cold, and dismissive, and he is willing to let countless people die just to see what will happen. He was willing to let Gwens sacrifice be for nothing.

And it goes against everything Ben stands for so he loses his cool. This kid bashes head first into four reinforced doors (doors that a horde of flourana couldn’t get through over a period of years) and busts into azmuths lab to smash the tiny, pretentious asshole full force in (what he perceives to be) the head w cannonbolt

some crossthicc harley and ivy thoughts

i’ve gotten some poison ivy related asks aND, i’ve been watching the new Harley Quinn show and you better believe i love it. so, some thoughts on IVy and Harley in this AU:

Harley herself has been suggested in some currently unfinished WIPs to be an elf, possibly a wood elf. However, switching bodies is fairly simple for the powerful characters in this AU so she could just as easily be a hyena-mutant, a tiefling, a cute vorcha-asari hybrid, or anything like that. Generally, she will have some hyena based mods, such as sharp teeth and a stripey mane running down her back that she ties with cute decorations; when she powers up, these mutate into more extreme forms, such as massive bone-crushing teeth.

Harley’s powers are literally cartoon physics personified; her body is incredibly adaptable and elastic, and she can transform herself in ways similar to old school cartoons. She can blow air into her thumb and pump up her arm into a massive bludgeon, she can slam into objects and bounce off like she was made of rubber. She can actually treat her body like its made out of rubber, bouncing off objects and deflecting attacks, and stretch incredibly far! This power is very extensive, and effectively Harley can freely warp herself and reality around her in cartoony, chaotic ways... but only if its done in a funny way. she basically weaponizes cartoon physics and the world around her. She can have even more explicitly cartoony traits if desired; sometimes she produces not milk, but an ink-like substance. (Regardless it has a potent kick but is helpful for dealing with mental problems. If you don’t mind some weird hallucinations!)

Harley’s personality draws on some of the more aggressive and independent interpretations of her; she’s EXTREMELY chaotic and impulsive, and has a fairly vicious ego at times. She is extremely loyal, for good and ill (as her victimization by the Joker will show), and she has a real mean streak once she feels she has a reason to turn on someone. She is, nonetheless, a brilliant psychologist with deep insight into those around her, and she freely exploits this in her role as the team handler of the Task Force X cell she is a part of. It’s also pretty clear that her mindset is... weird. its not so much that she’s putting on a role, but that her mind now consists of a few extreme elements who take charge and direct her based on what her best need is. 

Poison Ivy’s species is also deliberately ambigious; its assumed that she was most likely an asari, but she’s a chaotic blend of various species now, and regardless of her current body, she is always partially plant based and clearly some kind of plant being. She can be a flourana, for sure, but its often hybridized with something else; this doesn’t appear to be a conscious choice on her part, either, but a consequence of her abilities.

Ivy’s powers, as per canon, allow her to control plants, speed up their growth and direct them in various ways; turning trees into living plant constructs, turning ordinary plants into gigantic and monstrous versions of themselves, or growing vines to use as tentacles against her foes. this applies even to the plant matter of her own body. She also has a few unique abilities particular to this version of her; she naturally produces a potent poison from her body, causing her plump lips to produce a toxin that has as many nasty or benign traits as she wants, and her massive breasts produce a potent sap that is useful in industrial processes, is incredibly nutritious, and is a sort of universal fertilizer. it also is very mutagenic, and tends to cause plant transformations.

most importantly, ivy’s powers work on a planetary scale; she can alter the plant life of entire planets, introducing mutations to entire ecosystems and species at once. In theory, she could destroy worlds with ease, erasing all animal life. In practice, this has benign aspects; she can terraform planets VERY easily using plants as a vector, can uplift plants into intelligent beings, and her extremely fertile body can also create life and Energon within herself, so she can populate worlds entirely on her own. She’s thus almost permanently gravid, and one of her roles is recreating extinct species.

Ivy draws largely from her recent portrayals; in spite of her seductress image, she’s actually a fairly sarcastic, down-to-earth practical person who tends to find the weaponizing of sexuality as a regrettable asset she’d rather not deal with. (if she genuinely does her sexy seductress thing, its a sign she really likes you, she’s just got a weird way of expressing it.) she is first and foremost a scientist, and is fascinated by new discoveries. she tends to refer to the Task Force’s labors as the Work, and she loves Harley deeply, and started because of her.

Ivy is rarely seen actively on the Task Force’s squads because despite her immense power, she’s more comfortable doing the groundwork; she is a researcher and a world-maker, but she’s not adverse to being mission control, or from directly fighting if she HAS to.

If absolutely necessary, Ivy can transform into a monster form that some suggest is divine in nature; this turns her into a massive plant monster girl that closely resembles her mutant plant form in Batman Vs the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; a towering beast with venus flytrap limbs, a lower body resembling roots and vines. Her upper body is farily humanoid, but extremely thick and hyper curvy, with red vines billowing out into combat forms, and organic missile launchers swelling up from her arms and shoulders to spit seeds at foes; with her powers, these seeds can function as explosives, sprout into constricting traps, grow into carnivore plants that swalllow enemies whole, or deploy her toxins in a gas form.

monster ivy has elements of venus flytraps, pitcher plants, mangrove trees, and other such plant life hybridized into her current body’s design; she tends to adopt this form full time when off the clock, and is usually so massive she comprises her own ecosystem. Even other giants are lost upon her massive lengths; she comprises an island-continent unto herself in the realm of the Task Force!

Antiverse Character Profiles: Thornblade

"Even in a place as dark as the Antiverse, life finds a way to thrive in such a cruel world. One of those few sanctuaries is the planet Flors Verdance, a virtual Garden of Eden. But those who seek its fruits must contend with the Florauna. Antiverse Florauna are the fierce protectors of their idyllic homeworld, keeping the delicate balance of life on Flors Verdance safe from invaders. In the distant past, Flors Verdance was raided by power hungry despots and refugees for its plant life, which had both medicinal and military applications. The Flourana evolved to become ferocious guardians, ejecting those who seek to disturb this peaceful sanctuary. Let those who seek sanctuary find it elsewhere, lest they face the wrath of the Flourana."

"Thornblade is a far more brutal fighter than Wildvine. His tendrils are covered in thick spines that can rend his opponent’s flesh, and sharp spines line his forearms for an added melee advantage. Thornblade's tendrils are also coated in an enzyme that, when spread across open wounds, acts similar to fiberglass. These enzymes cause an intense stinging pain that can incapacitate most foes, and even cause paralysis in some cases. Unfortunately, Thornblade is vulnerable to fire and cold, and his tendrils can easily be cut off. Also, he cannot merge with plant life like Wildvine nor directly control it."

Most of the Ben 10 fics I’ve written touch on the Anur System in some way, surprising considering I don’t like that arc any more than any other. But, it means I am constantly googling stuff about it and today I went back to watch a couple episodes. Today I learned something about Zs’skayr’s origins.

Zs’skayr is the High Ecto Lord of Anur Transyl. I assume that is some kind of leadership position, perhaps the highest position an Ectonurite can hold off their home planet or maybe Zs’skayr is the top dog. That’s not the point here though.

Zs’skayr learned of the Omnitrix when one of Vilgax’s probes ended up in the Anur System, presumably very shortly after the Omnitrix’s creation. Zs’skayr got offworld and sought it out, traveling by possessing different beings, but ended up trapped in the Omnitrix while the Flourana he was possessing was sampled.

So Zs’skayr just... left. We assume he was a leader of the Ectonurites or even all of Anur Transyl and he was just like bye ima go conquer the universe or something have fun here ttyl and just left them on their own for what was probably at least a few decades.

Aliens from the Anur System are canonically peaceful which means Zs’skayr woke up and chose violence

My fan species!!! I’ve been working on them for a bit and I think I’m going to call them florana. (Like flora and fauna) Cuz they’re plants and such? Anyway the names are all based off of the scientific names of the plants so you may be able to work out some of the trickier ones!

I have personal theories for all of these. Incurseans? Air sacks to call for mates. Much like the Tetramands, Female Incurseans are seen as superior and have the louder calls, prompting Males to come to them instead of the other way around.

Vaxasaurians? Extra hearts. Due to their ability to triple in height and weight in order to become stronger, they need the extra organs in order to help pump blood throughout the rest of their bodies. While these hearts are located on the chests of Female Vaxasaurians, Males have them in the shoulders, giving them a much broader silouhette.

Uxorites? Special organs unique to their species known as “Cerebral Dampeners”. These allow them to use their extraordinary psychic abilities without suffering from headaches, strain upon their brain tissue or insanity. Only the Uxorites have these organs, which explains why Galvan also don’t have psychic powers, despite being far more intelligent.

Chimera Sui Generis? Bundled up tentacles. There’s no real special explanation required here, it’s a place to put all that extra mass in their armor so that the humanoid forms of Female CSGs are more streamlined and, thusly, faster compared to the bulky Males, who don’t have that luxury. Think of it like how the clothes of female humans don’t have pockets, but males do. It’s kind of a reversed version of that for CSG Armor. Of course, this has no effect on their “true forms” and both Female CSGs and Male CSGs look completely identical in that state.

Kinecelerans? Okay, I don’t have an answer for this one. I was gonna suggest air bags to avoid injury during a crash, but that would mean potential inflation fetish p*rn and that’s just a big no in my book. Disgusting.

Lastly, the Flourana? They’re big plants, right? Therefore, those are pollen sacks. Or seeds. Or whatever.

Since Incurseans are based off frogs and are therefore amphibians, why do female Incurseans have fritties(frog titties)?
