I think Fletcher's love story has the best romantic dialog I've ever written.

"I could never forget your face. I knew there was something magical there from the moment I saw ye in the ice, even if I didnae understand why yet. I thought I'd found an angel there. Even if that's the last I saw of you, I could ne'er forget."

"Hold me closer, if ye cannae see me, then feel me."

"I'll be your eyes for as long as you need them, longer than that even. I'll be your eyes until I close mine for the very last time."

"I already got my happy ending, and everything I could ever ask for, but I still wish you could stay by my side a wee bit longer."

I think I'm pretty good at writing love stories but I don't always have super strong prose. Fletcher has all the best quotable romantic lines.

I also like the tragic B-plot romance I wrote between Simon and Lily. Some of my finest love story writing. Like:

"Perhaps I'm too swayed by stories, especially when stories are all someone has."

"I failed in my duty, and I failed in my love. I could only turn away. My tears fell into the sea and faded into the tides."

"Though he was blind, he saw me as the most beautiful thing in the world. I fell in love with that lonely sailor."
