Delivery!
Flash was currently being held captive in a black of ice. How he got like this he wasn't sure. All he remembered was that he was running across Central City keeping the peace until suddenly an ice beam shot out of nowhere and froze his feat to the ground.... and the rest of him.
"Alright you got me! Show your face!"
"Well I was going to regardless. No need to yell." Out pops Danny Phantom carrying a bag with him and holding out an envelope.
"What? Who are you?"
"My name's Phantom. Danny Phantom. I have a message for you. I couldn't get your attention earlier so I thought this was just the next best way to get you to stop." Danny said as he unfreezes the speedster.
"Uh, okay." Flash said as Danny gives him an envelope.
On the envelope there are drawing in crayon and stickers and in marker it says: to Flash.
"It's from Susie, she'd said you'd remember her."
He remembered a Susie, a little girl that he used to see in the children's hospital. She had leukemia. He spent any minute he could making sure the kid was smiling when he was there. He was heartbroken when the nurses told him that she had passed away before he could give her her birthday present. Flash examined the crayon written words, it was just like Susie's writing.
"How did you?"
"Just read it."
The letter reads:
Dear Flash,
I'm sorry, I wasn't there when you showed up for my birthday. I never got to tell you, but thank you for being at the hospital with me when I was scared of going to treatment or when I had to take my medicine. Thank you for making me smile even when I didn't feel well. Thank you for playing games with me when I couldn't go outside. Thank you for talking to my mom and dad at my funeral. That was really nice. I drew some pictures for you but I never got to finish them when I was in the hospital so I drew you some new ones. Danny says that he'll give them to you.
In the envelope was a series of different colored papers all with different crayon and marker drawings of Susie and him playing in different scenarios. One where she was a doctor and he played the injured patient. One where they were both superheroes. Another one where they were playing shadow puppets when she wasn't feeling well. Page after page were different drawings of them playing with the last one was covered in glitter with a big heart with a crayon drawing of him and Susie.
"Susie said that her biggest regret was that she couldn't say thank you to her hero before she passed. So I bumped her up on my delivery list."
"What?"
"Oh yeah, I never fully introduced myself. I'm Danny Phantom, you can call me Danny. I'm the designated delivery person for the afterlife to the living realm. Any messages or special requests from the dead are delivered by me!" Danny hands him a business card all official.
And it does say: Danny Phantom special delivery service for those of the non-living variety!
"She also said she wanted to give you one last hug before moving on."
"What do you?" Flash is halted from saying anything else as he feels a pressure against his legs. He looks down to see a translucent small figure. She was a picture of what she looked like before the chemo. Susie gives him a smile and a hug before fading before his eyes.
Before Danny officially takes up the mantle of Ghost King he's trying to do a job that would have him interact with all of his citizens first so he could get a feel of it. Hence him making connections with both the living and non-living people (he went big-brain for this idea)
Extra scene:
"Oh that reminds me, I have a card for you from someone else."
"A card?" Flash opens the card only to get sucker-punched in the face. (like one of those cartoon boxing glove punches)
"A punch card." Danny said
Flash groans as he looks at the card that has the words: STOP MESSING WITH TIME! from CW
Obligatory Gotham Scene:
Danny standing in front of a beaten up Joker that has been tied to a chair.
"Just so you know I have a back order of a lot special requests for you. And since I can't exactly kill you, that would create so much political tape. I can let them make requests for certain actions. So right now I have over 50 requests for me to break your legs and over 30 to pull out your teeth and break your jaw. Some of them contradict each other because they want to make every word you say hurt you but others want me to curse you so you can't speak again. So I'll just have to get creative." Danny says winding his arm back and form.
He is for sure being completely professional about, he gets no personal gratification from beating up a crazy clown at all. (said nobody ever)
#dp x dc#dp x dc au#dp x dc crossover#danny phantom x dc#the flash#barry allen#dpxflash#dp x dc prompt#Can you imagine a scenario of Danny just walking into the Wayne manor and just holding out a care package for the whole batfamily#This is from your Grandma and Grandpa#And gives Alfred his own separate care package along with a message of thanks for how much the butler does for the family#Danny's just like “this is for the crime fighting family with the furry theme going on”

~~Delightfully inspired by being at home~~
Bakugou Katsuki is an only child. No siblings - because one gremlin spawn is enough to take care of. All of Katsuki’s cousins are older than him. Katsuki IS the baby of the family. . . Which is why when he meet you, and then proceeded to meet your family, he was in a total culture shock. You’re one of the oldest kids in your family. When the two of you arrived to your families summertime reunion he was absolutely flabbergasted. Once you stepped into the house you were gone in a flash!
I mean he expected as much since you lived so far away now and had such a good working relationship with your family. But he didn’t expect for you to DISAPPEAR ON HIM.
To be swallowed by a hoarde of similiar-faced relatives all shouting about how you’ve been!! the L/N genes were strong apparently . . . you really all do look alike, huh.
Bakugou had barely stepped into the house, your luggage’s still in hand, before becoming an obstacle for children. One of your little cousins actually barrelling into his muscular thigh with a little “oof” and “sorry mister! hey! wait for me!”
Before bounding out the wide open front door to chase their playmates back around to the backyard, and then through the entire house again . . . as children are often prone to do. Now, Bakugou tried to find you amoungst the little gaggle of children and sometimes teenagers that blew around his ankles, as they giggled and shouted and whooped as they weaved their way around him. at least let him find you, or one of your parents or siblings, so they can tell him which room you’d be staying in. he’d meet them on several occasions before and secretly reveled in watching watching you and your siblings engage throughout the few visits and events he’s been invited on. All these other people and rambunctious kids he wasn’t all too sure about . . . ——————
now Y/N was having the time of her life relaxing and catching up with her family
Her boyfriend, Katsuki, was not finding this relaxing. Bakugou Katsuki felt totally out of his element: a fish out of water. Or rather, an explosive man in water. ———— his ruby eyes would snap open most mornings, at some inhumane hour from some early bird kids stomping around and giggling in hushed tones (not so hushed in his opinion) as they moved down the hallway and past your door. And Bakugou would squint his eyes into the blackness; the void. And stare at where the door was supposed to be until they passed and burrowed his face back against your perfectly sloped shoulder and slept until some kid was send by the older folks to slam open the door and wake you up. Bakugou absolutely couldn’t fathom this part of the routine. He absolutely hated it.
You however only ever seemed a touch miffled. And always informed the tiny correspondent with a playful pat on the head that you and him were now awake and would join the rest of them downstairs. . . . but eventually the little cousins would soon come running around the side of the bed to make sure he was awake too. . . and Bakugou couldn’t help but turn, pick the kid up, and playfully wrestle the flailing and giggling kid on the bed into submission, and they revealed the menu for breakfast. And they would giggle and dart out of the room so fast saying, “Y/N’s awake! And her boyfriends Bakugou’s awake! He wants extra eggs!” And it definitely wasn’t his idea of relaxing playing UNO with about 10 players every other evening. And constantly hearing you and the older kids and adults all explaining what color card the youngest one needs to put down. Or GO-FISH for that matter!
Since apparently that silly game of chance seems to be the only one every age group can play without explaining the rules. What’s the point of a game of guessing who’s got what card? Especially when he never even gets close to winning. (Yes, he was terrible at it.)
Your family even plays for second to last place, and lo and behold he’s somehow duking it out with a 9 yr old now. And Katsuki Bakugou definitely doesn’t enjoy participating in the family water balloon fights, or watching and dodging the stray streams from squirt guns fights as he stands at the grill with all the other men, or chasing down the muddy dog in the house, or the epic made-believe quests. And you definitely believe him when you pass him walking through the house on morning after finishing the dishes in company with a fairy princess, pirate, and a mermaid “but-she’s-got-legs-right-now-cause-she’s-on-land.” as he walks about wearing an eye-patch on his face and a tutu around his arm
And he’s no longer “not in his element” by the end of the trip when he takes his turn to make breakfast for the whole family. Going upstairs himself to wake up the little ones and the grumbling teens. Making sure to let you sleep in and it’s a pleasant surprise when you make your way downstairs a little later to see him manning the kitchen. everybody sat down or standing around as they chow down. And you get greeted with a swift kiss to your temple and grumbled “g’morning.” your mom chirping up, “Katsuki’s made your favorite sweetpea!” ——— And you’re pleasantly surprised once again as Bakugou joins you in on the last day of your visit. Finally stepping foot into the mattress/sleeping bag kingdom that’s set up in your house. He comes in to find you sitting at the front of the room waving your hands across the air as you engage in the last saga of this thrilling interactive bedtime story you’ve been narrating the whole trip. And Bakugou walks in and tosses all the fallen blankets back over peoples beds. Shuffling himself underneath a blanket he’s just rescued and making himself comfortable as he squeezes in next to the teens. And it’s at some part in your story that he furrows his brow and opens his mouth muttering something to the two adolescents squished beside him. His arms crossed across his chest as a dinosaur stuffed animal rests, precariously balanced, on his broad shoulders because, “you need a stuffie for Y/Ns storytime” and the three of them wave their hands and signal for you to pause and Bakugou grumbles out “- hold on babe, who is this dragon prince character anyway?” And all the kids erupt in laughter shouting, “YOU, YOU SILLY BOYFRIEND.” and his mouth is agape. And you simply shrug, “well duh ‘tsuki. who else? Now where we’re we? Right so then the Dragon Prince, the Swordsman, and the Dashing Runaway Prince of the Kingdom decided that they . . .”

PS - yes the tutu is stuck around his forearm bc his bicep is too beefy!

Could I have a fluffy imagine/one-shot of Mike with a librarian girl? Like Mike goes back to the place he got the dream book from, and now he wants something to get his mind off (the trauma of the movie) so the librarian helps him find something else he’d like. Maybe a Sherlock Holmes detective or something. Thanks so much!

Morning birds flocked through the featherweighted clouds thinning across the fresh sky. A chilled exhale rattled out of Mike's throat, the cold dawning air nipping at his skin. His head was foggy with exhaustion, yet flickering with soft excitement. The streets were empty, much to his content. Crowded boulevards and sputtering car exhaust muddied his senses, he hated it more than anything.
He shoved his reddened hands down his pockets to shield the breezes from his fingertips. Mike hated the overwhelming traits of the outside world even more after his accursed job as a solo-unit of security. The crumbled children in the machines, Vanessa wilting away within her hospital bed and William. It was too much and he couldn't handle it.
This whole mess was the reason he was heading towards his local library, one he hadn't stepped in the years. It was the only place he was comfortable visiting now. It was quiet, no people to talk to, and he'd be able to pluck out his favorite contents in peace.
Mike had been particularly fixated on Sherlock Holmes, lately. The whole idea of mysteries had made him want to learn more, even after being injured at Freddie's. Weirdly enough, after scavenging through his old contents, it unraveled more and more about what happened those dreaded nights ago.
Mike hummed quietly as he lazily pushed the glass door. The silence calmed his senses. There were a few locals, but they were buried between pages. After awkwardly exposing his card and being gently discarded to explore the aisles alone. He started trailing around the mystery section. He couldn't pick one story, so he was doing nothing but strolling.
"Do you need some help?" A voice peaked his shoulders for a flash. "Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you, sir."
You apologized, your voice was soothed. Mike shook his head gently, "No, no. It's fine, don't worry."
A smile spreads across your lips and you read the aisle with an eager eye. "You like mystery?"
"I've just gotten into it, really." Mike slid his hands through his curls promptly. It was strange how comfortable he felt, it felt tender, weird enough. "It's a sweet genre. I like it when it keeps me guessing. Gets my mind off everything."
"Yeah. Fiction is a great outlet, that's why I became a librarian." You explained warmly, "It's something I've always dreamed of."
Mike released a breathy chuckle in response, unsure how to reply.
You extended your hand towards the neatly rowed bookshelf, trailing your finger until you slipped out a rough looking cover. Your eyes wandered to him, "You like Sherlock Holmes?"
"He's actually the reason I'm here." Mike tilted his head lightly with a calmed grin. He had no idea why he felt so comfortable around some random librarian girl he had just met, but he had no internal reason to question it. "I have a few of his stories at my house, my little sister found them."
"That's adorable," you brushed your cheek. "Maybe you'd like this one. Personally, I think it's one of his most underrated works." You handed him the book, and his eyes flickered up and down in interest.
"Wow,"
"Cool right?"
Mike nodded.
"I don't think I've seen you before here, uh," You trailed off.
"Oh. Oh, sorry, I'm Mike. Mike Schmidt," He shook your hand softly. "I actually haven't been here in a long time."
You arched a brow, face still settled, "What made you come back?"
"Well, first off, Sherlock Holmes." He shook the book lightly with a low chuckle. "And, well, work. It's been hard, so, I thought I could read a bit to calm things down."
You curled down to pile some scattered books in your hand, "Well, I hope you come back again, Mike. Maybe we can talk about some more stories, outside of here of course. I get a bit loud with stories."
You both chuckled, "I'll come back. I could always use some more mystery." Mike had been clutching the book with eager hands, along with a fluttered expression. He hadn't connected with someone in quite a while. It felt refreshing.
"Well, I have to get back to work. Goodbye, Mike." You stirred back into the halls. Mike whispered in response. "Thank you,"
He wanted to talk more, but, he didn't want to hold you back. Mike's eyes flew down to the hard-leathered surface. He chewed his lip,
I should have asked her for her name . . .
And with that thought resting heavily in his mind, Mike left the library, with a giddy attitude and a little too many mystery books in his hands.

close to you — itoshi s.
i burn for you, and you don't even know my name - in which you make your debut into the ton expecting to find true love, and instead catch the attention of piercing teal eyes belonging to the man you swore to never acquaint yourself with.
wc: 3.1k+ (ongoing)
tags: regency au, itoshi sae x f!reader, strangers to lovers, (eventual) mutual pining, slow burn, sae is a little shit in every universe i will die on this hill
notes: took me a few months to get back to this but here it finally is! very excited for this idea it's been fermenting in my brain for a while
masterlist | next part
Your debut into the ton was certainly an anti-climactic one. Being the youngest of your five sisters, who had all been whisked away and married by the time you were of-age, everyone's attention had already moved on from your family's matches and preyed on the newer debutantes that had come in from further districts.
However, a debut that had certainly shocked the ton was that of the oldest Itoshi brother, who was the son of the King's advisor and had been close friends with the crown prince along with his brother since they were children. The entire society had been waiting for him to pursue a marriage match since his younger brother, Rin, had tied the knot with a very fortunate debutante the previous season.
Itoshi Sae had the reputation of being quite the rake, and was notorious for never taking the same woman to bed twice. He was very easily bored, as he put it, always looking for a new source of entertainment. Which consequently swiped marriage right off the table, as words from the mamas claim he's never so much as considered it.
Yet there he is now, standing beside his mother and younger brother, nursing a glass of lemonade. His teal eyes are carefully flitting around the room, seemingly cold and calculated. You hoped they would not meet yours.
As much as the alluring man across you had piqued your interest, you were determined to achieve your one and only goal for this season: to find a love match, and ultimately decided that Itoshi Sae was certainly not the man for the job.
A gentle hand had rested on your shoulder and you turn around to find Mikage Reo, the only son of the Viscount Mikage, and your dearest friend.
"Nervous?" he asked, a cheeky grin on his charming face usually reserved for poking fun at you.
"Hardly. I find it's quite boring, you promised me more fun than this," huffing out a sigh, you take another sip from your lemonade.
Reo lets out an amused chuckle, his eyes crinkling at the corners in the way you've always admired. You've harbored an unrequited crush on him for quite some time now, ever since their family had moved in across the street from yours and he had introduced himself with that same toothy grin he now flashed at you.
"It is uncharacteristically dull tonight, I suppose. Would you fancy a dance instead?"
Reo would have been the perfect match for you; attractive, intelligent, humorous, and not to mention from one of the most well-off families in town. You two got along well, and it was no question your shared affection for one another.
"And risk Seishiro shooting another rude remark at me? Thank you, but I'll pass."
If only he had not been in love with your older brother, Seishiro - who had returned his feelings, which you only found out this summer. Reo shoots you a scolding look, as if to warn you about someone overhearing your conversation. It was, after all, inappropriate for two men to be involved romantically within the ton.
Which was why your brother was standing a few feet away from the pair of you, a bored expression on his face as he pretended to listen to whatever Mr. Bachira was talking excitedly to him about.
Reo hurriedly scribbles down his name into your dance card then gently pulls you onto the large ballroom floor. "Don't worry about him, he's not the one making their debut. Besides, someone needs to dance with you in order to gain the attention of other suitors."
As the orchestra plays another lively tune, you scoff at your friend. "I don't need you to attract suitors! I can do that perfectly by myself, thank you very much."
"Really?" Reo smiles, lilac eyes not pointed at you but at somewhere, someone in the crowd instead. "So, do you reckon that Mr. Itoshi Sae would have noticed you had I not intervened?"
"What are you on about?"
As the pair of you turn, you finally see what Reo had meant.
Itoshi Sae, with his piercing teal eyes and indifferent expression, had been watching you move across the dance floor the entire time. Like a hawk.
The two of you meet each other's gaze and a shudder runs through you as Reo twirls you away from him. A sudden, awful feeling sinks into the pit of your stomach, and it seems that you were entirely incorrect.
This season would be far from boring, as you'd come to find out.

Christmas Traditions
When Steve was young, his parents would make him stand with them for a family portrait to feature on the christmas cards they sent to work acquaintances, extended family, superiors they wanted to impress. Their entryway became a hall of mirrors with two dozen families staring back in their varying shades of Christmas sweaters, their varying quantities of dour-faced children.
Steve found it odd that he wasn’t allowed to smile - Christmas is a happy time, surely they should be smiling? But no. It wasn’t the image his parents wanted to convey: strength, power, longevity. So he pressed his lips into a line and let his mother fuss over his hair, let her peck his cheek and offer him a small smile that would never see the flash of a camera.
When he grew older, and found love beyond the careful affection of his parents, Steve shared how he’d always hated not being able to smile in those pictures, how it felt so forced and joyless. When they extended their family, bringing a tiny new life into a place where smiling would always be encouraged, Steve’s husband Eddie gently suggested they could take their own photos for their first christmas card as a family of three. Steve was of course hesitant, until Eddie lifted one finger in a staying motion and disappeared into the study.
There was a rifling of paper and a thud of something Steve wasn’t even going to ask about, and then Eddie returned to the living room, a sheaf of notepaper in hand.
“I thought you’d be against the idea - all scratchy sweaters and pouty faces and shit. Which is why I had some…ideas. Here.” Eddie passed steve the paper, and on each was a sketch. Just stick figures, but there were clearly two adults and a baby in varying positions: knelt beside a crib with robes on and what steve could only deduce to be a donkey behind them; the baby peeking out of a pile of wrapping paper as the two men shake tape off their hands; piggybacks, snow angels, reindeer antlers and a tiny beard. And in every sketch, all three faces were perked in a smile. Eddie had been sure to include a grin on every face, toothless or not. And how could Steve say no?
Maybe old traditions weren’t all bad.

In the summer of 2008, Rose Quartz Universe was filming her son, Steven Quartz Universe, unaware that he would soon become the star of a cartoon produced by Cartoon Network under the guidance of a brilliant director. [STEVEN UNIVERSE ACTORS AU]
🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬
My take on Steven Universe and how Steven got his big break into the acting world and even got his own TV show on Cartoon Network. This was inspired by a short on YouTube I saw called ‘Steven Moves In’ you can look up ‘Steven Universe shorts and watch the video.
I hope I can keep this going for you guys as much as I can. Anyway. Bye, guys!
🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬
Behind The Scenes - Chapter 1: Steven’s Big Break.
June 2008.
“Is it on?” a voice asked. A boy nods. The boy had a head of curly black hair, had black eyes, he also wore a salmon pink T-shirt that was too big for him, and cuffed jeans. He has a Band-Aid on his left cheek, he also had no shoes on his feet as he sat next to his father in his van which had both the doors open. the child flashed a smile and a peace sign to his mother.
The woman behind the camera chuckled, and the boy smiled softly at her.
“Come on, Steven, show us what you wrote.” his father insisted. Steven took a deep breath strummed the ukulele and sang. Steven has heard stories about her team members and wanted to write a song about them, and him if he was a member of his mother’s rebellion so, that was how this song came to be.
“If you're evil and you're on the rise
You can count on the four of us taking you down
'Cause we're good and evil never beats us
We'll win the fight and then go out for pizzas
We are the Crystal Gems
We'll always save the day!
And if you think we can't
We'll always find a way!
That's why the people of this world believe in
Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl and Steven!”
She laughed in amusement then stopped recording and closed the screen to the video camera, Setting it down so she could upload it to YouTube later on her computer. The man, Greg Universe, looks at his wife walks over to their van, picks up Steven, and kisses his cheek. Steven laughed as the woman spun him around. Her husband smiles, grabs her all-white MacBook, takes out the SD card from the camera, plugs it into the computer, and starts editing it for YouTube.
Steven Quartz Universe has a musical talent from his father, Gregory Universe, and the ability to learn faster than other children from his mother, Rose Quartz Universe.
Greg was only twenty-six years old when he and Rose had Steven. And he couldn’t be any happier, they knew that they had to tie the knot, so in 2001, they got married in Los Angeles Rose’s team — The Crystal Gems were there also for it, Pearl, Rose’s friend (And probably crush) was jealous of her that she was getting married to a rockstar and had a baby with Rose in the process the previous year.
Seven years later, they were happily married and very happy with their son, Steven Quartz Universe who was born on August 15, 2000.
Over time though, He wondered why Steven was not aging like the other kids in his grade were. By the age of one, he still looked a few months old. Rose had an idea of why he wasn’t aging.
Due to her being a gem, she and the other Crystal Gems don’t age. But, no matter what they still loved him no matter what.
Steven looks at his parents.
His mother, Rose Quartz Universe possesses a commanding stature, towering above both her husband and son at an impressive height of approximately eight feet. Her taller and heavier build projects a sense of strength and presence. Her complexion is characterized by pale peach skin that exudes a soft and gentle radiance, complemented by defined pink lips that add a touch of delicacy to her features.
Her mesmerizing appearance is accentuated by bright black eyes that seem to hold a world of depth and mystery within them. Cascading down her shoulders, her long, curly pink hair is meticulously styled in thick ringlets, lending an air of elegance to her overall demeanor. Notably, her unique gemstone is situated where a human navel would typically be found, serving as a distinctive and striking feature that sets her apart.
His father, Greg is a uniquely styled individual, appearing with a plump physique typical of middle-age, yet with a touch of eccentricity in his appearance. His dark-beige beard frames his mouth, contrasting with his taupe hair, which is styled into a mullet cascading down to his waist. Despite his middle-aged plumpness, he maintains a somewhat skinny frame. Notably, Greg sports a full head of hair, adding to the curious juxtaposition of his appearance.
Moreover, he flaunts a tan line gracing his shoulders and feet, hinting at his outdoor ventures. To add a hint of edginess, his look is further accentuated by earring pieces that embellish his overall look with a touch of individuality.
The Video was finished uploading as they went back to their beach house, located in Delaware.
His childhood home. A two-story house elevated on stilts, characteristic of areas prone to flooding or coastal regions. The front of the house is symmetrical, featuring a central door and two windows on each floor. The exterior is painted in white, creating a contrast with the green surroundings of trees and a clear blue sky.
A distinctive feature of the house is its spacious second-story deck, accessible via a staircase from the ground level. This deck wraps around the front and one side of the house, providing ample outdoor space for relaxation or social activities. Beneath the deck, the ground level seems open, likely used for parking or storage purposes, effectively utilizing the house's footprint and offering protection against potential water damage.
They walked inside and Steven smiled and looked around his home.
He looked at a spacious and elegantly designed open-plan living space with a coastal design aesthetic. The room is illuminated by natural light and features a color scheme predominantly consisting of whites and creams, complemented by deep blues and natural wood tones.
In the living area, there is a large, white sofa adorned with stylish throw pillows, creating a cozy and inviting ambiance. Positioned in front of the sofa is a dark wooden coffee table adorned with books and decorative items, adding a touch of sophistication to the space.
Moving towards the left, there is a dining area featuring a simple wooden table surrounded by contemporary chairs, seamlessly connected to the nearby kitchen. The kitchen boasts white cabinetry and a visually striking blue island, topped with elegant white marble, adding a pop of color and a touch of luxury to the room.
Pictures hung on the walls of Greg and Rose’s wedding in California, an acoustic guitar that was signed by Chester Bennington - who was the lead singer for one of their favorite bands LINKIN PARK. Three surfboards lined up the wall. A white one with red roses, A large board bright pink one with hibiscus flowers all over the board which was custom-made for Rose, and the smallest one was light blue with a large white stripe going diagonally.
The room is further enhanced by large windows that offer picturesque views of a water body, enhancing the serene coast.
Steven was now playing on his Nintendo DS in the living room, Rose was cooking dinner as her husband helped her. Steven looks up from his game of Mario. Pausing his game and walking to the kitchen. Steven grabs a chair and stands on it watching his mother. Rose looks over her shoulder.
“Looks like you have a little helper.” Greg smiled and looked at his son.
“What are you guys making?” Steven asked.
“Where making mozzarella sticks,” Rose said Steven’s eyes lit up. He loved mozzarella sticks, and the way his parents made them was amazing!
Rose smiled and kissed him on the cheek. “Oh, you don’t need this anymore,” she said, pulling the Band-Aid off his cheek. Steven smiled as he took his finger and felt the soft fuzzy surface, the cut wasn’t there anymore.
He was playing at the beach the previous day. He and his friends Lance and Mikey were playing tag and Steven fell on a rock and scraped his cheek a little bit. He went home then got cleaned up, then he was back to playing again. Rose asked him if she could heal his cheek with her spit but he didn’t want to. Rose respects his boundaries and wishes, so she doesn’t press on.
Rose wondered if he would ever get his gem powers, or maybe it was a possibility that he wouldn’t get them at all. But Steven wants to be like his mother and learn about his gem heritage and culture.
Greg grabs the bowl that was filled with the mozzarella sticks and puts them in the fridge to cool them before frying them. He walked to the sink and washed his hands. He dried them, walked to the couch, and picked up his acoustic guitar that was sitting on a guitar stand. He sat on the couch and began to strum it.
Steven and Rose both smiled. Rose loved her husband’s playing ever since they met at that concert back in 1987. Steven knew the story of how they met. Then they had him — The light of their lives. Steven Quartz Universe.
When Greg heard his full name for the first time, he started tearing up. It was such a beautiful name for such a beautiful, bright, and intelligent boy. And Steven was very intelligent for Seven years old.
But, he does love doing stuff like most kids do, from going to the skatepark to playing video games. And Steven had an active imagination and loved to play pretend with his parents and friends.
Since it was summer vacation and his birthday was in two months, what he wanted to do was visit California and go to a movie/TV studio. Greg and Rose were unsure of this though — Any concerned parent would. But, they wanted to respect Steven’s decision in all of this and be supportive as much as they could throughout his life and moving forward.
An hour passed, and Greg put the cheese sticks in the oven and closed the door. Rose was on her phone texting one of her teammates that she’d fought along the rebellion a long time ago way before she even met Greg. Steven sat on the couch next to her and looked at his mother texting on her iPhone 3G.
“Who are you texting, mom?”
Rose looked from her phone and faced her son. “You remember the Crystal Gems do you?” Rose asks him.
Steven nods.
“They just want to see how I’m doing and if I’m alright.”
“Do you still talk to Pearl, Mom?”
“Yes, I still talk to Pearl, Steven.” she smiled and kissed her son’s cheek.
Steven smiled back. He felt a sense of happiness. Steven then hugs her. Greg pulled out the food from the oven and plated it for the three of them to share. He pulls out the marinara sauce that he’d made, puts it into three individual dipping cups, and puts the sauce inside them. He served it with some Caesar salad and some spaghetti he’d made earlier in the day while Steven was swimming on the beach.
Dishes were put in the dishwasher, Steven was changing into his bathing suit in his room. Rose wore a one-piece swimsuit with a circle in the middle where her gem was exposed. Steven grabbed a towel, walked downstairs, and saw his mother.
Rose and Steven both went outside to the waves and played together.
Greg smiled and walked down the steps of the beach house with his acoustic guitar in his hand. He had his long brown hair tied back in a ponytail. He sat on the sand and played some notes on his guitar as the sun was beginning to set.
Morning approached Greg and Rose were both asleep in their room, Rose woke up and stretched, her pink messy hair falling on her shoulders.
She got up and did her morning routine. She walks out of her room Rose sees her son playing on his Nintendo GameCube up in his loft bedroom. Steven woke up an hour ago and now he was playing Sonic Heroes.
“Good morning, Steven!” Rose called out to him. Steven paused his game and smiled, he got up from his bed, ran downstairs, and hugged her. Rose smiled and bent down to hug him, Standing at eight feet tall. So he only reached up toward her legs. But he didn’t mind it as much. He still had a lot of growing to do.
“You want to go out for breakfast?”
“Yeah, but what about, Dad?”
“We can wait for him.”
“Or, you can text him.”
Steven nods and pulls out his phone from his pocket then texts him.
Greg walked down the stairs in a black t-shirt and jean shorts. “Let’s go, guys! Rose, you can drive.” her husband said, tossing the keys toward her. Rose caught them one-handed and they walked out of the beach house, Rose unlocked the van and got into it, and Steven opened the passenger side door and crawled into the back, Rose stuck the key in and they went to Washington to a diner in Deleware.
🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬
Steven was reading the menu. Greg was on his phone, Rose looked over his shoulder. “Whatcha doing?” Greg looked at his wife and smiled. “I’m seeing if that video you posted of Steven playing the ukelele got some views.”
Rose’s eyes widen, that video got ten thousand views overnight! “Steven! look,” she said, the seven-year-old looked up at his mother. Rose gave her phone to him and he read the numbers, he looked up with white stars in his pupils as he read the numbers. “Ten. T-Thous-what?!” Steven said in shock and disbelief at what he was reading off her screen.
Rose smiles and nods. “Looks like you are famous my superstar.” Rose smiled softly at him, Steven stood up and sat in her lap. Rose felt his warmth and wrapped her arm around his body softly, Steven felt happy at the moment that he saw his video of him playing the ukelele and singing had gone viral on YouTube!
Rose got a text notification, she pulled it out of her shorts pocket and pressed the button to unlock her iPhone 3G.
She sees the lock screen of her iPhone. It features a background showing her, Steven, and her husband. Standing at his car wash The lock screen displays the time as 9:29 AM on Monday, June 17. Notably, there is a text message notification from a contact named “Christopher,” Rose read the message content; Can Lucas come over today, or is it a bad time, Mrs. Universe? Additionally, there is a slider at the bottom prompting her to "slide to reply.” Rose slid to reply to the message.
“Mom? Who are you texting?”
“You remember your friend, Lucas? his father asked if he could come over.”
“Please, mom? can he?” her son begged. Rose giggled and patted his curly hair. “Sure he can, Steven. Your friends are always welcome.” Steven smiled as he sat up and hugged his mother’s neck. Greg smiled then put a hand on his black fluffy, curly hair
Rose texts him back, saying that he can come over. Steven wanted to jump for joy, but he sat still and kept calm. Rose saw a teen walking up to them, she wore a black apron and her brown hair was in a ponytail.
“Hello, are you ready to order?” she asked with a smile on her face, Steven smiled and looked at her.
“Can I have the chocolate chip pancakes?” he asked. The teen recognized the boy instantly and smiled.
“Hey! I saw the video of your son yesterday after my shift, he’s very talented with that ukulele.”
“Thank you!” Steven said.
“Thank you so much, miss. He is incredibly talented.” Greg smiled
“He is very talented. Who does he get it from?”
“He gets it from me.”
“And he picks up things very fast from me.” Rose smiled. Steven looks around the restaurant.
“I hope your son gets a job as a singer or an actor one day, you're going places. Say,” she knelt to his level.
“What’s your name?”
“Steven,” he said.
“Well, Steven. I hope to see your face in movies and TV one day, and if you do. Don’t forget about who helped you achieve your dreams.”
Steven smiles at her. “I won’t! what’s your name?”
“Pearl.”
“Oh, that’s funny. I have a friend named Pearl.” Rose chuckled.
“That’s awesome,” she said. “Are you ready to order?"
“We will have the scrambled eggs with bacon and this little guy will have the chocolate chip pancakes,” Greg said, passing the menus towards Pearl so she could collect them, Pearl wrote everything down on her notepad, then collected the menus. “Are you okay with water?”
“Do you have a strawberry milkshake?” Rose asked.
Pearl nods. “We do.”
“Mom, can I have one too?” Steven asked.
Rose nods. “Okay, what kind? we have chocolate, vanilla, Oreo, and strawberry.” Pearl asked him.
“Um, may I have Oreo?” he asked. Pearl smiled and wrote it on her notepad.
“Alright, I will put these in so you guys can get your breakfast.” Pearl smiled and walked off.
Rose turned on her phone and she played a game. Greg went on his and dug into his pocket and pulled out a pair of earbuds. He looked at Steven.
“Steven, do you want to listen to some music with me?” Steven nods happily. Greg gave him the left earbud. He grabbed it and he went into his music and played a song. It was called ‘All The Small Things’ by ‘Blink-182, one of their favorite bands. Rose looked at them and wanted to take a picture of them.
Maybe when Pearl comes back with our food I can ask her to take a picture of us.
Rose saw her walk up with their drinks. “Here you go, guys,” Pearl said setting down their milkshakes and orange juice. “Thank you, oh, can you take a picture of us?” she asked, pressing the home button and going to the camera app.
“I can,” Pearl said, as she took the photo and handed her phone back to Rose. Rose saw them and smiled. “This is so cute. thank you.” she smiles.
Pearl nods. “I’ll be back with your breakfast,” she said walking off. Steven tapped his mom on the arm.
“Mom, can I get down?” Steven asked, pulling the earbud off his ear and letting it hang off from the floor.
Rose nods as she sets Steven off her lap and onto the floor.
The boy walked towards his chair and tried to get on so he could sit, but he was too short and tiny. Rose saw that his son was struggling so she helped him up.
“Thank you,” Steven said, Rose smiled and kissed his head.
Just then, A boy and his father walked in, Greg looked at them and smiled
He sees a younger man, with a happy expression. He has short, neatly styled hair and clear skin. He is looking directly at his son. His overall appearance seems clean and well-maintained. Additionally, he is wearing a small earring in one ear, adding a subtle touch of style or personal expression to his look. The plain and out-of-focus background serves to highlight his face and features, making him the central focus.
The boy standing next to his father is depicted as a cheerful and happy child with dark brown skin. He is wearing a blue short-sleeve T-shirt, blue jeans, and a pair of white Converse sneakers and has shoulder-length dreadlocks.
“Greg, Rose, how are you two!” the man — Christopher, or Cris asked the couple.
“We're good, I’m glad that you came. Greg said, hugging the man. Rose looked at his son.
“Hi, Lucas.” she smiled.
“Hi, Rose. you look pretty today.”
“Aw, thank you, Lucas.” She smiled. he then turned to Steven.
“Hi, Steven!”
“Hi!” he smiled, Lucas went toward him and gave him a high five. “Steven! Where matching!” Lucas smiled, looking at Steven’s blue T-shirt which was a little bit too big for him.
Lucas knows that he won’t grow normally like other kids, but he doesn’t care. Their still friends.
Steven and Lucas both met at school in September two years ago when Steven was in first grade. Lucas had changed schools in Delaware. Steven already had no friends because of the way he looked at others. One boy asked if there was something wrong with him or if he had a disability.
And someone even asked Lucas, in front of him ‘Why do you hang out with that baby?’ Lucas was so angry at this and wanted to kick him in the leg. But Steven told him to let it go and went to play Pokémon with him on his GameBoy.
“Hey, Steven,” Lucas said.
“Hi!” he said happily.
“What’s up? we're going to have so much fun together” Lucas said. Steven smiles and hugs his friend. Just then, Pearl walked back to their table with their food.
“Here you go, guys,” Pearl said, handing them their breakfast. Steven smiled and unrolled his napkin revealing a fork and knife and eating his pancakes. Christopher smiled and put a hand on his son’s head.
“Okay, Lucas. I’m off to work now. Have fun with Steven, your momma will pick you up. I have to work late tonight.” he told his son, Locas nods
“Okay, bye Dad!” he said, seeing him walk out of the diner.
🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬🎥 🎬
Steven, Lucas, Greg, and Rose went to the arcade when they went back and played some games, Lucas and Steven went to ski ball while Greg and Rose were on the racing simulators. The owner of the arcade—Mr. Thomas was pleased to see them having fun. He smiled and watched them, Despite that Greg’s wife was an alien. He didn’t care he was happy to see a person or alien, having fun.
Mr. Thomas was standing not too far away, attending the prize booth. He appeared to be in his thirties, with short light brown hair. He is wearing a checkered shirt with colors that include red, blue, and white. He also wore blue jeans and Vans on his feet. He also had a welcoming smile on his face.
“Hey, Steven!” Mr. Thomas said walking up towards the boy. Steven smiled and looked at the man.
“Hi, Mr. Thomas,” he said. He smiled at the boy and knelt to his level.
“Hello, Steven! I heard that your birthday is in two months, are ya doing anything fun?” Steven wanted to go to LA for his birthday and meet his mom’s friends who also lived there. He was excited for his birthday. He was turning eight years old. He loved his birthday a lot, hopefully, this one will be special for him. Steven smiled and continued to play ski ball with Lucas. They hoped they would never separate.
Steven was now in his bedroom, it was ten o’clock PM, and he was playing Super Mario Sunshine. Rose walked upstairs to his loft bedroom. Steven looks at his mom, she wearing her Mr. Universe T-shirt and long pants. “Hey, mom,” he said, still playing.
“Hi, Steven,” she said, the boy smiled, Rose sat on the bed, Steven paused the game and hugged her, feeling the warmth of his mother could put him to sleep. Steven yawned as he hugged her tighter, Rose smiled and kissed his forehead. “Goodnight, Steven.”She whispers, covering him up with the white puffy comforter.
Rose walked downstairs and into her and Greg’s room. Greg was on his laptop. His wife walked to her side of the bed and went in, he looked at her and smiled lovingly at her. “I love you, Rose.”
“I love you too, Greg,” she said, kissing her husband on the cheek. Greg smiled, closed his laptop, and put it beside him. Rose got comfortable and they both went to sleep

Apologies to @sleepycrowhours for stealing the tags but i want to make a point about learning irish (and I think it applies to language learning as a whole) Duolingo (especially the app, the website is better to be fair but not by much) shouldn't be your primary, or even secondary resource for language learning, it should be a supplement, like flash cards because that's basically what duolingo (Esp. the app) is. It's electronic flash cards, it's nice for vocabulary but horrible for learning grammar, it's yes or no, right or wrong, and language is more fluid than that.
In colloquial speak, if you get it more or less right, the speaker will probably get it, (especially with something as minor as séimhiú and urú which is the english equivalent to switching his/her/their, while duolingo will tell you a sentence is a complete bust if you replace gcat with chait with cat which contexually, speakers will fix themselves and probably won't even mention it to you. Not to mention language is fluid, speakers won't talk like a text book, they'll use conjunctions and phrases you dont know, they'll invent words on the fly.
You should always be learning from books, movies (Yu Ming is ainm dom or cáca milis for irish aimed at young children, an cailín ciúin for more general cinema), poetry (géibheann, an gnáthrud, etc.), music (Teir abhaile riú, oró sé do bheatha 'bhaile, an dreolín, etc.), tv (all of TG4, they have spongebob), RTE player is available for free online.
Buying an irish enlish dictionary, using focloir and teanglann, and reading grammar books will help, writing irish helps too because it makes you look up words you dont know. I had no idea how to use the subjunctive and imperative before, now i do.
All of the info i wrote about séimhiú's and urú's can be found with google, and all of my words of the day are on focloir and teanglann.
tl;dr, using only duolingo is going to give you more robotic speak that even textbook, your vocab will be kind of weird and hyper-specific (kinda like how only learning in a classroom only teaches you to speak about yourself and your family and nothing else). Read irish, write irish, live irish. Remember, you weren't taught your native tongue formally, 80% of what you learn comes from just picking up and talking to people, family, friends, teachers, and maybe 20% was taught in the first few years of school (and a lot of that is written/spelling anyway not actually communicating)
#this is coming from someone with a 40 streak and 4.5 gold units on duolingo#i use it everyday#but its not a good resource to learn how to use a language#i guess its okay for hammering in spellings#but#it doesnt tell you why#so#moral of the story#dont rely on duolingo#irish#irish langblr#irish language#language#linguistics#langblr#languages#language learning

In my last post, I mentioned a series called "Spark in the Dark" by paganpunk2 on FanFiction.net. The first fic in the series is a retelling of Dick Grayson's Robin origin story, and the first installment has 300k words and a hundred chapters. There are seventeen fics in this series, so I'm just going to put the links to all of them in order so I can reread them all in proper order later (the layout of FanFiction.net does not let you save a series as far as I know and it sucks) and in case anyone else wants to read them:
Firework - The story of how Dick Grayson was adopted by Bruce Wayne and starts his crime fighting career as Robin to avenge his parents' murder
Summer Shorts - Short stories about Dick's first summer under Bruce's care
Batfairy - Dick loses a tooth but doesn't believe in the tooth fairy (He is 8 or 9 in this fic)
The Princely Pardon - The Wayne family household has had this tradition of eating a freshly turkey every Thanksgiving, meaning the bird is still alive when it comes to Wayne Manor to be killed for dinner. Dick does not like that idea, so he does what he can to save the turkey
Of Friends and Foes - Dick is having a hard time at school making friends when he meets another young hero, Kid Flash
A Frivolous Holiday - It is Valentine's Day at Dick's school, so Alfred reluctantly helps him make some cards for his classmates.
A Weekend in Bruges - Bruce Wayne is required to go to Bruges, Belgium for a business trip while Dick is sick and Alfred is out of town. Bruce does not cope well with missing his son.
Turkey Song - Dick's pet is nearing the end of its life and he learns about one of the first cases the Justice League ever worked on, and the reason for his pet's sudden demise
Camp Batman - Batman, Robin, Flash, and Kid Flash go camping to help teach them some survival skills.
A Haunting in Central City - Robin and Kid Flash go trick or treating an encounter their first haunted house
Sick Day - Dick comes home from school sick, and Bruce spoils him
Hope - Clark Kent spends the new years with Bruce and Dick, written from Clark's perspective as if it were a journal entry
Instant Gratification - Bruce has Dick complete an exam every two weeks to enrich his education and help him as Robin. Dick becomes inpatient when Bruce is grading his exam.
Phenom - A group of aerialists come to Gotham and Dick watches the show with his best friend Wally West, also known as Kid Flash. Watching aerialists perform makes Dick sad about his past and his old family.
The Boy in the Box - Clark Kent gave Bruce a flash drive containing what he called "Dick's childhood," which was performances of The Flying Graysons
The Ache of Cowardice - This is the only entry in the Spark in the Dark universe that's rated M for mature, and for good reason. HEAVY TRIGGER WARNING AHEAD: It has graphic depictions of sexual abuse against children and child trafficking. The story is that Dick gets injured as Robin and is forced to go to the hospital (as a civilian), Bruce Wayne almost loses custody because of an evil person who has his own malicious motives. While this is happening, Batman uncovers an absolutely disgusting ploy in Gotham
To Catch A Predator - Bruce, Dick, and Alfred go on a family vacation to a small town known for it's fishing scene and find evidence of crimes being committed that only Batman and Robin can solve, only Batman and Robin left their uniforms at home. Despite the title, this fic is not rated M and does not have any depictions of the crimes committed in the show with the same name
The final fic was last updated 12 years ago in 2012. Although the account was last updated in 2021, nothing has been added to this amazing series. Even though it is incomplete, it doesn't really end on a cliffhanger so if you do choose to read it, you don't have to worry about that. Wherever you are, paganpunk2, I hope you're doing well :)

a/n: hiiiii! posting my first ever fic on tumblr eeeee! this will be a long series that I’ve posted on wattpad as well. i just wanted to post it on here to see how it would do! buckle up and have funnn
I was at true rock bottom. My favorite machine was out of order, I had lost my lotus card in my luxury suite, and karaoke wasn't until Wednesday. I groan as I rub my hand over my face, the slot machine in front of me blinking red. That usually meant it was broken. Worst of all, my friend, Bianca, was no where to be found. I hadn't seen her since breakfast.
Glancing around at the vast expanse of games in front of me, I frown as I set my sights on a different machine I could try . Dull purple LEDs and blacklights lit my way as I watched other casino goers as they stumbled from game to game. I hear shouts of excitement rise from the craps table to my right and sighs of disappointment from the poker game to my left. Children snake around my ankles, screaming and laughing as they chase each other. I tilt my head as I arrived at a new game I had never seen before; Connect Four. A giant yellow board with checkers was spread out in front of me, along with a flashing green button telling me it was my turn.
"Rose," I heard from behind me. I whip around to face the voice, smiling. "There you are!"
"Bianca! I haven't seen you in so long." I exclaimed. My friend smiled at me as she reached out her arms, silently asking for a hug. I supress a laugh as she pulls me in, acting as if we hadn't seen each other for a month.
"I have been looking for you for like an hour." She draws out, huffing slightly, pulling away from the hug. She all but groans as she rolls her eyes, exaggeration coursing through her movements. I spot her little brother, standing close to her right side, as he shoots me a small wave. I smile at him as he retreats back into Bianca's shadow.
"I'm sorry, Bi," I begin as I look back at my friend with a smile on my face, "I really was trying to find you, then I got a little sidetracked." Sheepishly laughing as I pointed to the machine off to my right. She waves her hand, telling me that it wasn't a big deal.
"No worries." She responded, absentmindedly. I could see her rocking back and forth on her feet, her tell tale sign of nervousness. She looked as if she wanted to say more.
"Hey, what's up?" I ask her, my eyebrows furrowed in concern. My eyes run over her face, trying to make out anything going on.
"Nothing, I guess I'm just nervous." I knew it. I could feel a small pit grow in my stomach, hating to see my friend worried. She shook her head, glancing around the lively setting.
"I spoke on the phone with our lawyer today." My eyebrows knit further in confusion. 'Why would she be nervous about that?' I thought to myself as a frown makes its way onto my face.
"I just-" She starts, trailing off, trying to find the right words to say. "It was different today than usual, the phone call. She said she was going to come pick us up and take us to school."
My eyes grow wide at her statement. Usually her lawyer calls to check in on the brother and sister's well-being, to see if they're alive. It's always a quick call, with no weight to it. This time, I could tell it was different. Take them to school? What school?
"Wait, what?" I hesitated. "I thought your Dad had sent you here to stay?" Worry evident in my voice. I didn't like change, and this felt like a big change.
"I have no idea. All I know is our lawyer will be here in an hour. She also said that you were to be coming with us." She says, a small smile creeping onto her face. I tilt my head, shooting her a look of disbelief.
"That's not funny, Bianca. Do not get my hopes up." I giggled. She shook her head trying to suppress her own laughter.
"I'm serious, Rosie!" She exclaimed, her hands coming up in a comical 'i'm innocent' motion. "She said she's be here in an hour to take you, Nico, and I to our new school in Maine." At her words, I saw Nico's face fall. His expression a now obvious look of disappointment at the thought of leaving.
"Wait!" I state loudly, drawing out the end of the word. "Why am I coming with you? I mean, I've only met your lawyer like once." Bianca shrugs, her eyes widened in a 'I have no idea either' look.
"Are you sure we have to leave?" I ask as I shake my head. I had been staying here for over a month now and I didn't want to go. I frown as I see her head nod in agreement. "I mean, do we have to go with her? We could just stay here instead of going to school. I like that idea." She nods fervently, agreeing wholeheartedly.
"Me too!" Nico responded, fiddling with a small silver army guy. I smile at him as he moves to stand next to Bianca now. She huffs as she spares a look over to her brother.
"Look, maybe we can convince her to let us stay here, but we should at least go pack." Bianca muttered, looking as if she said it against her will. I groan at the thought of leaving and having to pack. All I wanted was to hang out with Bianca and play games, not leave the hotel I had called home for almost two months.
"Fine." I say reluctantly, sparing a longing glance to the arcade game in front of me. She sends me a begrudging look as she motions for me to follow her.
I had spent the last two months here, my days filled with games, parties, and music. It couldn't get any better. I'd been here since my father dropped me off here on one of his business trips, and I can't seem to remember the reason. I had met Nico on one of my first days here and he quickly introduced me to Bianca. We've been attached by the hip ever since.
We made small talk about the lawyer visiting and what our new school was going to be like. "I bet it's going to be huge!" Nico exclaims. "Like the school on Mount Olympus in Myth-O-Magic!" I crack a smile at his antics.
"I bet it's going to be shit." I mutter under my breath, causing Bianca to suppress a laugh behind her hand. She gives me a look and nods in agreement, trying to hide her actions from her brother. We round the corner on one of the extensive halls in the hotel, the bright lights hurting my eyes. After a couple more minutes we arrive at Bianca and Nico's door. I frown as I meet her gaze.
"Are you sure we have to go, Bianca?" I whispered, looking down at my feet. She nods and puts a gentle hand on my shoulder.
"I'm sure, Rosie. This will be a good change, I have a good feeling." She says giving me a reassuring smile. I don't know what I would do without her, even though I was two years older than her it seemed as if she had been around for longer, an older soul.
"Meet us at the front door in thirty minutes." Bianca insisted, stepping into the door frame of her and Nico's suite. I see Nico sheepishly smile at me before pulling the door closed.
I smile as I turn on my heel, humming a familiar song. Maybe this will be a good change. I guess it would be kind of nice to get some fresh air, but yet again, I think I like the air of my suite just fine. Bianca was right, it'll be a good change, at least that's what I tell myself.
I make my way up a couple floors and stop in front of my door, swiping my lotus card on the handle. None of the hotels from back home had that. I swing the door open, music instantly meeting my ears. Fleetwood Mac's Landslide makes its way into my ears. I sigh as I look forlornly to the bag laying haphazardly in the corner. The room is lit up with the various lamps stowed away in the corners of the room, as my blankets sit peacefully on my soft bed. I quickly walk over to my bag, quickly pulling out the clothes from my drawers.
I could feel a funny feeling rising up in my stomach. It twists as I think about finally stepping out of this place and that I will have to go back to the real world. My stomach surges as I think about having to go back to school. I know I won't be able to fit in. I was never able to fit in before, I could never escape the 'weirdo' narrative my peers set onto me. They would make fun of me as flowers seemed to follow me wherever I went. If I was excited, daisies would pop out of the ground. If I was sad, plants in a close radius would begin to wilt. No one knew why, and neither did I. I just wanted to be normal.
I sigh as I stuff the last thing into the tattered bag I had brought with me into the casino. I quickly throw on my bomber jacket, adorned with american flag patches and pins from various rock bands. It was my most special possession, but I couldn't seem to remember why.
Glancing around the room, I grab my bag as I head for the door, turning around one last time. I step out of my room, closing the door behind me. I trudge forward, ready to face whatever was in front of me.

Cloud nine
Genre: suggestive Words: 1.821 Prompt: pilot Jaemin x female reader Warnings: :] none..? A cock is getting touched through fabric?
A/N: Yeah :] raibebe comeback? I guess? This is basically all foreplay and I'm just edging you guys for the smut :]
“Psst, hey,” your coworker hissed while she was preparing a drink for someone seated in first class, confidently handling the wine glass despite the movement of the plane. “What?” You giggled, looking up from the book you were reading while most of the people on the flight had gone to sleep, meaning you finally had some time to yourself between crying children and Karens complaining about stuff you couldn’t change in the first place. “Come over here.” “What’s gotten into you?” You shook your head but walked over anyway, huddling close to her in the small space of the kitchenette. “I think the co-pilot is into you,” she whispered, wiggling her eyebrows for extra measure. “What? Mister Na?” “He sooo kept looking at you when he made his round through first class.” “Please, he probably was just making sure there were no weird drunks again,” you tried to wave it off, shuddering at the memory of your last flight where a drunk businessman had made so many misplaced comments and wouldn’t keep his hands to himself that one of the male staff had to step in.
“You should shoot your shot. Catch yourself a nice and handsome pilot.” “You’re reading too many romance novels,” you just rolled your eyes like you hadn’t been reading one a minute ago. “I’m serious. At least slip him your number or something when you’re bringing them their next meal,” she grinned. “I’m not supposed to-“ “Well at least one of us has to invest in your love life,” she shrugged, leaving with the drink she had prepared for one of the rich businessmen seated in first class. Shaking your head, you went back to your book but not without throwing a quick look towards the cockpit’s door that of course was locked like it was supposed to be on long flights like this.
Getting off an intercontinental flight was always extra rewarding, especially when you were staying at such a nice hotel as this in a tropical country, with all expenses covered by your company before you had to fly back after a day of relaxing. “Slip him your room number,” your coworker hissed as you waited at the reception for everyone to receive their key cards, the pilots last as they were ogled both by the women behind the reception desk and whoever was currently walking across the lobby. You couldn’t blame them though. The two pilots were so different that there was something for everyone’s taste: It was either the middle-aged pilot who you assumed was extruding just the right amount of daddy energy to be sexy if it wasn’t for the wedding band on his finger. And Co-Pilot Na just looked like he was ready to walk on a runway with his neatly styled hair, just the right amount of dyed strands falling into his strong eyebrows, and his suit jacket lazily thrown over his shoulder. The perfectly messy look was completed by a couple of buttons undone on his white dress shirt, exposing his collar bones and teasing the swell of his chest muscles while his tie hung loosely around his neck. And if all of that wasn’t enough, he of course wore a pair of big mirrored sunglasses on the elegant slope of his nose.
“Stop staring at him and actually do it,” your coworker brought you back to reality when you were captured by the sweet smile co-pilot Na was flashing to the blushing receptionist as he received his key card for his room with polite hands. “He’s probably tired and this is a stupid idea,” you hissed, elbowing her in the stomach when she tried to argue right as the pilots made their way over to the rest of the cabin crew, hoping that would finally make her drop the whole topic.
“Let’s have a nice stay everybody,” the older one of the pilots smiled almost fatherly, “Enjoy your stay and I will see you again on our flight back in 36 hours.” With that, he tipped his captain’s hat and made his way over to the elevators, his phone already in hand, probably to call his family as soon as he was in the comfort of his room. “What he said,” Co-Pilot Na simply grinned, running a hand through his hair to further mess up the once meticulously styled strands. But for some reason it only made him look more attractive. “They said the drinks at the bar are pretty good, just be sober by the time we have to be on the plane again.” You didn’t know if his words truly were funny or if his face did most of the work but it had most of the girls from the cabin crew giggling almost shyly. “I’ll see you around then,” he waved you off as well, pulling his small carry-on across the lobby.
“Do it,” your colleague hissed again, quickly pulling you with her to follow the handsome Co-pilot to the elevator. “I’m not that desperate,” you hissed back but let her squeeze the three of you into the elevator anyways. Thank god none of you had problems with claustrophobia despite how tight the fit was with three adults and your carry-ons. “Where are you getting off?” He asked politely, already pressing the button for the seventh floor for himself. “Sixth for me,” your colleague smiled sweetly. “I’m on sixth as well,” you tried to smile as well while simultaneously pinching your colleague who was not so subtly trying to push you closer to the handsome pilot like you weren’t already invading his personal space.
“Have a good night, rest well,” he smiled once you had stepped out onto your floor, always the polite gentleman. “You too, Mister Na,” your coworker smiled just as the doors closed. “Did you do it?” She asked excitedly the second the doors slid closed in front of Co-pilot Na’s handsome face. “What? Of course not,” you rolled your eyes, pulling your carry-on down the hallway to find your room. “You better make a move on him tomorrow at the pool then.” “Co-Pilot Na doesn’t get into the pool,” you immediately answered, only to quickly regret bringing it up when your coworker’s eyes went wide. “Oh my god. You already know him more intimately.” “I flew with him a handful of times and have never seen him at the pool or at the beach. That’s all,” you tried to explain yourself but you knew you had dug this grave for yourself to lay in. “So you kept an eye out for him,” she wiggled her brows. “Oh please, even I can admit he’s good-looking,” you rolled your eyes, quickly unlocking your room to end the conversation, “Good night.” “You’re absolutely no fun,” she sighed but waved you off anyways, promising to text you so you could go have breakfast together.
Groaning loudly once you were in your room, you quickly looked around the room and the bathroom that was attached, noticing the big bathtub you were surely going to use later to loosen up your tense muscles from walking in heels for close to ten hours. But for now, all you wanted was to get out of your uniform and faceplant into the soft-looking mattress. But alas, you couldn’t just rip it off of your body when you didn’t want to spend your free time ironing it again.
Just when you were down to your blouse - your blazer and pants already neatly hung away - someone knocked at your door. Not really thinking about it, you opened it without even checking who had knocked, coming face to face with a grinning Co-Pilot. “Well hello there,” he grinned, giving you a quick once over as he leaned against the door frame, arms crossed in front of his chest so his dress shirt was fitting even more snugly, his suit jacket and tie nowhere to be seen. “Your lovely coworker slipped me this note with your room number.” To prove his point, he held up a little piece of paper between two of his fingers. “Oh my god, she didn’t,” you groaned, ripping it from his grip to read the cheesy and provocative message.
“Guess she caught me staring at you.” “You’re not even half as sneaky as you think you are.” “How do you expect me to keep my eyes off of you if you look like this?” He spoke lowly, unashamedly looking at your exposed cleavage before he sneaked his arms around your waist only to grab two handfuls of your panty-clad ass so he could roughly pull you against his chest. “At least get into the room first, Mister,” you laughed hoarsely, slipping your hands up his chest to feel the solid musicale beneath your fingertips. “Maybe I like the thrill,” he sighed, leaning in until his lips barely grazed yours when he spoke. “You’re the worst, Na Jaemin,” you sighed, getting lost in his dark eyes. “You love it though,” Jaemin whispered, his long lashes fluttering as he closed his eyes. “I do,” you smiled before finally closing the distance between your lips to softly kiss him, languidly moving them together.
But like so often, it didn’t stay chaste like that once Jaemin licked over your bottom lip to demand entrance that you easily granted him, mewling into his mouth as he walked you back into your room, carelessly kicking the door shut. “Too bad you’re already out of your uniform. Would have loved fucking you in that,” he groaned, kissing down your neck. “You like it that much?” You teased, cupping his hardening cock through his slacks. “Do you have any idea how good your ass looks in these pants?” Your snarky reply got stuck in your throat when Jaemin raked his teeth over your fluttering pulse, knowing full well you’d get into trouble if he were to leave marks.
“If we wouldn’t both lose our jobs, I’d have made us part of the mile-high club already,” he promised, leaving wet, open-mouthed kisses on your exposed skin. “The bathrooms are way too cramped for that,” you groaned, making quick work of the buttons of Jaemin’s dress shirt so you could feel his skin beneath your fingertips. “You could ride me in the cockpit,” he moaned, carelessly shucking his shirt off before he pushed you down onto the mattress. “Putting the cock in cockpit,” you giggled, scooting up until you rested against the plush pillows. “I’d rather put it in you,” he joked, suggestively wiggling his eyebrows. “Shut up or you’ll not put your dick anywhere,” you rolled your eyes but opened your legs for him anyways, showing him the lacy underwear you wore today that he had gifted you when he had come back from his last flight to Rome. “Oh I know just what’ll shut me up,” he moaned, climbing onto the bed and between your legs to suck a bruise to the inside of your thigh.

Date Nights with Midoriya Izuku
From my Date Night Series
1.
Izuku draws two hero cards and lays them out in front of him.
You read the names aloud, familiar enough with their faces to recognise them even upside down.
“Shouto and Kamui Woods. Uh, that’s an interesting setup. Draw the situation card now.”
You’re already bouncing in your seat as he draws a yellow card and lifts it up to read from it.
“Your heroes are called to a flash flood. Rescue is top priority but they cannot eliminate the threat of a villain causing the flood. How do you proceed?”
He’s not yet finished reading when he's already starting to mumble, all the ideas in his head tumbling out of his mouth at a speed almost incomprehensible for others to understand.
“One minute is up.” You turn the tiny hourglass with a satisfied grin. “Your answer, please.”
“Okay, so…” He takes a deep breath and grins back. “Kamui Woods will primarily engage in rescue. Shouto can freeze the water which would take it away from the possible villain and make the rescue easier but…”, he emphasizes the last word before continuing, “He has to make sure not to freeze any civilians which would be hard but doable. Considering that Shouto has icepowers the villain would be quickly apprehended. Do I get a point?”
You highfive him. “Yes, you get a point! Now, first impression of the game so far? Do you think we need to change something before it goes into production?”
“No, I love it. But…” He hesitates for a moment before you nod, urging him to continue. “Not everyone is as knowledgeable about these heroes as we are, if you would add a point system to the cards or something like strengths and weaknesses it could also be played by children.”
“I was thinking about that.” You start chewing on your pen, eyes focused on your notepad, not realizing that Izuku's eyes are now glued to your lips. “But I did not want to add too much information, you know, it’s a card game, not something that could potentially help villains.”
“What about if you add villains too?”
“Oh, they’re in the extension pack.” You join into his laugh. “But seriously, what do you think about this design then…”
He leans forward as you sketch, his hair brushing against your temples.
You’re always productive but never as much as when Izuku is around.
If only you could see him like this every day.
-
2.
“What do you wanna play tonight?” You ask, glass of wine in one hand, the other tugging out games from your cupboard, revealing even more games behind them.
This week's date night is at your place, and Izuku’s dutifully doing the dishes after you’ve cooked, even though he barely fits into your tiny kitchen.
“How about your game?” He asks, turning to look at you and narrowly avoids hitting his head. “We haven’t played that in ages.”
“You sure? I always win that game.”
His laugh wafts through the air like the smell of wine and the chocolates he brought back from the agency.
“I do have some motivation to win today.”
“You do?” You ask, teasing audible in your voice. “I thought you always have the motivation to win.”
You walk back towards him - which doesn’t take long in your tiny apartment, but at least you don’t have to share it with a roommate like he does - and swing yourself onto the kitchen counter, legs dangling next to his hip.
He leans in for a kiss right away, not caring about the suds dripping from his hand as his hands find your hips.
“If I win,” he tells you as he smiles, “You’re going to move in with me.”
“And if I win?” You ask back, swallowing down your heart before it beats out of your chest at his words.
He smiles, already teary eyed himself.
“Then I’m gonna move in with you.”
“Oh, so it’s on then.” You giggle into his lips as he kisses you again.
“Living with Kacchan as a roommate or you hitting your head every morning?”
“You’re gonna give it your all?” He asks but there’s a teasing lilt to it that tells you that he has something entirely else in mind. And you’re not going to find out what it is just yet.
“Plus Ultra.”

5:25am, coffee shop
One fine day, Henry won’t have to get up before the sun has even risen. But until that magical day, Henry stops by Brews & Books for his first Earl Grey of the day with a for-fun novel while he waits in line. It may be before six in the morning, but the small, family-run shop is already packed.
A quiet, but emphatic “fuck me” catches Henry’s attention, but it’s the thump, slide, and contact of a heavy book with his foot that pulls him completely out of his novel. He glances down to see some sort of textbook and stoops to pick it up, fingers brushing with a strange spark as someone else reaches for it at the same time. Henry glances up to find the single most attractive man he’s ever seen.
His dark circles rival Henry’s own, but the combination of a riot of dark curls, warm brown skin, and eyes like molten chocolate knock the breath from Henry’s lungs.
“Sorry ‘bout that, sweetheart.” Henry wants to wrap himself in the man’s accent. Normally, the stranger’s beauty would have Henry clamming up, but there’s something so welcoming in the exhausted smile flashed his way that makes Henry practically bloom.
“Not to worry, love. I wouldn’t expect much from anyone before being caffeinated.” Henry stands and reaches down to help the man up after him.
“Two problems with that,” he says, ruefully as he accepts the help and straightens up with his textbook. “One, this will be my second cup already.” Henry’s eyebrow raises of its own accord. “I know, I know, I have a problem, but consider this: it keeps me functional.”
The man’s hand is still in his. It’s warm, despite the bite of the early morning air. Henry doesn’t let go either.
“You said there were two problems?” Henry asks, proud when his voice comes out even and a touch teasing rather than stuttering from an abundance of gay pining.
“Right! The other problem is that I’m this clumsy all the fucking time. My sister and her girlfriend have decided to classify my clumsiness as an ‘outlier of nature,’” the man says with a truly devastating grin.
Henry can’t help a little huff of laughter at that. “I’m well versed in the despairing older sister department.”
“Did yours treat you like a personal dress up doll, or is that just me?”
“Constantly. I tried to get out of it exactly once growing up and Bea turned on the waterworks so quickly I thought she was auditioning for a hose pipe. It did guilt me into letting her do it though.”
“Dios mío, if June had any ability to cry on command she would have pulled the same shit, I’m sure.”
Their shared laughter draws the man’s attention to their still-joined hands. He pulls away at last—not that Henry would have minded holding his hand for the rest of the day—the hint of a blush showing up on his cheeks.
“I—ah, sor—”
“Next!”
The call interrupts the unwanted apology. Henry sends a rueful look behind him as he goes to order. The man shrugs, a smile tinged with what Henry’s romantic heart hopes is disappointment at their conversation getting cut short. He orders quickly and asks after Linda’s children as she punches in his order. Henry’s about to pay when a brilliant idea strikes.
“Linda, I’d like to pay for the man with the curly hair behind me.”
“A little pay it forward moment?”
“Something like that. May I borrow your sharpie?”
She grins wickedly. “Oh I see, go right ahead, honey.”
Writing quickly while Linda runs his card, Henry prints his number and a note: I don’t usually do this, but it seems you’re an outlier in more ways than one. Dinner tonight? - Henry.
By the time he’s done and collected back his card, his tea is ready at the end of the counter. He picks it up and turns back to see the stranger watching him, a sort of wistful look on his face. Henry can feel himself blushing, but lets himself look back at the man who upended his morning. The man’s face splits into a blinding grin and if Henry didn’t know any better he’d say the sun rose just to shine on his curls. Henry salutes the man with his tea before backing out of the shop and off towards his classes. He barely makes two blocks before his phone buzzes with a series of texts. Henry beams down at his phone as he reads.
Unknown Number: holy shit that was smooth i bet i can be an outlier in a BUNCH of different ways actually 😉 (i’m saying yes to dinner in case that wasn’t clear) i’m Alex by the way it was fucking enchanting to meet you Henry can’t wait for tonight

I Love the Red I William Nylander ✿❄︎
The delightful aroma of a splendid Christmas roast filled the air, accompanied by softly playing carols in the background. And while moving from one side of the kitchen counter to the other and then to the stove, you skilfully navigated between dishes, lightly dancing along to the tunes.
"Looks like you're having a good time," William's voice chimed in from behind, causing you to turn and find a broad smirk gracing his handsome face.
"Indeed, I'm definitely enjoying myself," you chuckled, moving to stand before your boyfriend and gently wrapping your arms around his neck while his hands settled on your lower back.
"That's great, baby," he chuckled lightly, planting a tender kiss on your forehead as you both stood close in the kitchen. "Are you excited about tonight?" he then asked softly.
"Feeling a bit nervous, but definitely excited," you replied, flashing him a sweet smile.
You and William had decided to host tonight's Christmas dinner for the Leafs and their partners, as it not only marked your first time hosting anything as a couple but also celebrated your recent move-in together.
Aryne was usually the host of such gathering, but as she was occupied with her three children and all the charitable commitments, you’d stepped in to assist, and eventually ended up taking charge of hosting along with William. Though having lived together for only a few months, you both though the idea would be fun and exciting.
And you were more thrilled to do so, taking the opportunity to fill the condo with decorations as well as experiment with new recipes. And William was more than happy to support you and be your cup bearer. While he might have found your meticulous planning a bit over-the-top, he couldn't help but adore the way your eyes sparkled when discussing your ideas. He simply let you take the reins, smiling and chuckling at your enthusiasm.
His credit card had practically become yours, and in no time, you had transformed his condo into a Christmas wonderland, draped in deep reds and vibrant greens colours with sparkling gold shimmers and chains of soft yellow lights.
Initially, William attempted to assist. However, it became evident quite quickly that it was best for him to let you take the lead, as he lacked the creative mind you possessed and didn't quite have the knack for hands-on decoration. Despite his efforts, he ended up stepping back, trying not to get in your way and felt comfortable in merely being good company.
"Seriously, babe, you've really outdone yourself," William beamed, holding you tightly, knowing that his teammates would soon arrive, meaning it'd be hours before he could have this closeness again.
"I know," you sighed softly. "But do you like it, though?"
"I love it almost as much as I love you."
His words were incredibly sweet. You hadn't expected this softer side of him to surface, but as it turned out, this Christmas seemed to have unlocked his inner marshmallow. And you found it all incredibly sweet and charming.
And in that shared moment, William leaned down gently, his lips meeting yours in a tender kiss. His hand cupped your cheek, while his tongue softly pressing against your lips, seeking permission to deepen the kiss, which you gracefully granted. Amidst the festive decorations and the aroma of cooking food, you responded eagerly, leaning into his touch as the kiss intensified. Your hands softly began to explore his chest, igniting a desire for more before too long.
You delicately moved your hands, exploring the skin under William's shirt, but just as his hands began to sneak their way up under your dress, the timer sounded, prompting you both to pull back.
"Looks like we'll have to continue this later," you teased.
"Oh, we definitely will," William replied with a mischievous smirk, adjusting himself slightly in his boxers.
And with the final meals prepared and cooked, the table elegantly set with fine china amidst your excessive decorations, the doorbell announced the arrival of the first guests.
Soon, the condo bustled with most of the Toronto Maple Leafs players and their partners, enveloped in the joyful Christmas atmosphere.
The food turned out fantastically, judging by the satisfied yummy sounds and compliments from your guests, and the ambiance was warm and jolly, filled with laughter and cheer.
Everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time, and before you knew it, hours had flown by, and the last guests were bidding their goodbyes.
"Ugh, as much as I enjoy hosting and cooking, I equally cherish the quietness that follows," you announced, flopping onto the sofa after a quick clean-up, leaving the rest for the next day.
"Well, I'd say we did a pretty great job," William grinned, sitting next to you, wrapping an arm around you and pulling you close.
"We?" you raised an eyebrow.
"Okay, maybe mostly you, but I was here too," he teased, wearing a proud smile.
"True, you were, and you were the best at not getting in the way," you joked, earning a chuckle from him.
"Oh, you don't think I did more than that?"
"What exactly did you do, Willy?" you laughed.
"Well, for starters, I did taste all your food," he proudly declared.
"Ah, such a challenging job," you teased with a sarcastic chuckle.
"And I provided company — you know, trying to steal a kiss from the hostess isn't always as easy as it sounds. It requires skill to time it just right," he said, wearing a wide grin, eliciting laughter from you.
"Hmm, I don't recall that... When exactly did you manage to sneak a kiss in? You might need to refresh my memory," you flashed a mischievous smirk, shifting in your seat to face him.
"Well, maybe I will," he grinned back, pulling you closer with determination, one hand securing your opposite side and drawing you onto his lap until you were straddling him. "And if I remember correctly, we left some things unfinished."
A light chuckle escaped your lips before William leaned in for a deep, passionate kiss, brimming with the affection he held for you.
It wasn't hurried or sloppy, but it was earnest and intense, stealing your breath away, causing you to pull back momentarily for air.
Yet, William's hands held you close, refusing to let you retreat too far, and your hands resumed their earlier exploration, seeking the warmth beneath the fabric of his shirt, prompting him to take the lead and remove it entirely.
Your hands once more explored his well-defined chest, delicately running through his hair, before leaning in for another deep kiss. Your tongues entwined, creating an intimate connection as you both focused entirely on each other's touch.
As your lips then parted from his once again, his eyes locked with yours briefly while he held you firmly, lifting you while standing, and then gently carrying you to the bed. Meanwhile, your lips trailed along his neck as your thighs wrapped around his hips, before he carefully settled you onto the bed.
The desire between you was intense. Both eager to explore each other's bodies and feel the closeness between you grow.
Your gaze then remained fixed on William as he stood by the bed, slowly removing his trousers and boxers, freeing his proud member, before sensually crawling onto the bed, licking his lips.
You met him halfway in yet another passionate kiss, only to part for a moment as he gently slid his hands under your dress, discarding it and threw it to the rest of his clothes. His eyes intensely roamed over your curvaceous body, admiring how stunning you looked in your lacy lingerie set.
"It's your favourite," you murmured softly, a sly smirk forming on your lips, as William couldn't help but lick his own, captivated by the sight of you in bright red lace.
You were well aware of the effect this colour and fabric had on him, knowing you had his mind spinning.
"It definitely is, baby," he exhaled deeply. "You're fucking hot."
His mouth then found the sensitive spot on your neck, pressing you down onto your back a little more firmly as he kissed and gently nibbled your skin.
The air was thick with pure desire, a craving for a deep, emotionally charged session of sex, while the soft melodies of Christmas music lingered in the background.
William's lips explored every inch of your skin, trailing from your neck down to your collarbone before focusing on each breast. Tenderly, he moved the lacy fabric aside, lavishing attention on your nipple with great intensity, teasing and nipping as he then moved to the other breast.
His kisses had a mesmerising effect on you, prompting you to close your eyes as he gradually ventured further south. Soft moans escaped your lips as your body responded, arching and fully surrendering to his touch.
But just as his lips reached the edge of your underwear, you forced yourself to look down at him and whispered gently, "Willy," your breaths heavy, "Not tonight… I just want you inside me."
"Are you sure, babe?" he asked tentatively, gazing intensely into your eyes with his deep blue ones, prompting you to offer a subtle nod.
As much as you enjoyed William's talented mouth between your legs, in that moment, all you yearned for was to feel him close. His body entwined with yours, and his length filling you completely.
So, with care, William rose from his position to kneel between your legs, maintaining an intense gaze on you as he hooked his fingers under the edge of your bottoms. You lifted yourself slightly, allowing him better access to slowly remove them, tossing them aside with the rest of the clothes. However, your bra remained on. It was perhaps the only piece of lingerie he wouldn't simply tear off, as it was indeed his favourite.
But knowing your body all too well, William aimed to ensure your utmost pleasure. While still kneeling, he entered two fingers in his mouth, coating them thoroughly with saliva, and then gently, he ran them through your folds, tracing against your entrance.
"You're so tight, baby," he uttered in a husky, rough voice, applying a gentle pressure with his fingers against your hole.
"Only for you, Willy," you breathed out, letting out a louder moan as his fingers slowly penetrated your sweet core, gradually stretching your walls with their rhythmic movement.
Feeling his own heartbeat quicken with anticipation, William lightly stroked his throbbing cock a few times, fixating his gaze on his fingers disappearing and reappearing within your warmth.
But despite enjoying William's skilled touch, you yearned for more.
"Willy, I want - I need you inside me," you softly pleaded, beginning to feel intense waves of pleasure coursing through your body. And William eagerly complied.
With a satisfied smirk, aroused by your impassioned plea for his touch, he withdrew his fingers, and sucked them clean of your sweet juices. Then, hovering over you, he once again leaned in for a deep, lustful kiss.
And as his cock pulsated and glistened slightly with pre-cum, he positioned himself, aligning the tip with your entrance before gently easing himself all the way in.
Louder moans erupted from your lips this time, your eyes rolling back in sheer pleasure as you felt him completely fill you. William was rather thick and no matter how many times you'd had sex by now, he always stretched you to the fullest.
Breaking the kiss, he began a gentle yet firm rhythm of pulling out and thrusting back in, relishing every sensation within your walls. The warmth of your cunt heightened his arousal, and with each movement, he edged closer to his climax.
As your hips found a synchronous rhythm, William leaned back down to you, guiding your hands to rest on either side of your head, his forehead resting against yours, as your fingers intertwined, hands gripping tightly.
It was a scene filled with raw passion and tenderness, as your bodies moved as one, moans filling the room in perfect harmony. There was an intensity without force, your sweaty skin touching every inch as you then wrapped your legs around William's hips, urging him to delve deeper.
William's thrusts grew a touch more forceful as he sensed his peak approaching. His grip in your hands tightened, feeling your heels digging into his lower back, sensing your walls beginning to contract around him, and he knew wouldn't last much longer.
But he didn't want to come alone. No, he wanted you to join him.
So, increasing his thrusts slightly, plunging deeper into you, he found that sensitive spot that elicited uncontrollable and incoherent moans from you.
"Yes, Willy – I'm close," you gasped, the familiar surge of orgasm on the brink.
"Me too, baby – come with me," William breathed out roughly, the sound of skin meeting skin filling the air as your intertwined hands held on with a firm grip.
Your faces were close, sharing the same breath as the intensity of an orgasm washed over you, causing your mind to blur, forcing your eyes closed once more, and William's name escaped your lips in a loud moan.
"Fuck," William echoed, feeling your tight walls clenching around him. And then with a few more forceful thrusts, he reached his own climax, releasing everything into your warm depths.
He emitted deep grunts as he slowly eased into a few softer movements before nearly collapsing atop your body. But realising his weight was a bit much, he propped himself up on his arms, releasing your hands before carefully pulling himself out and settling beside you.
A comfortable silence enveloped both of you as you snuggled up to him, finding your spot under his arm, and he gladly pulled you closer, embracing you.
Your head found a resting place on his chest while you idly played with his hair, feeling his hand gently running through the lengths of your own.
With a satisfied smirk on your lips, you glanced at your boyfriend, feeling a sense of relief and contentment.
"Maybe I should wear this underwear more often," you teased lightly, eliciting a soft chuckle from Willy.
"Hmm, maybe, but I do prefer when you wear nothing at all," he quipped with a cheeky smile, his hand gently finding yours once again, intertwining his fingers softly with yours.
"Well, I think I can manage that as well."
William then pulled you up from your position, prompting both of you to lie on your sides, facing each other, his hand remaining intertwined with yours, resting them between your faces as you locked eyes.
A tender smile formed on his lips as he admired your stunning features. To him, you were beyond beautiful, and deep down, he couldn’t quite believe why the hell you had fallen for him.
He saw himself as merely the charming hockey player, filled with cheesy jokes and no serious thoughts besides about his level of games. Whereas you were this incredible, captivating woman, not only talented in the kitchen but also adept at connecting with people. You were incredibly kind and friendly, always ready to help anyone in need. You comforted William when he felt low and matched his high energy when he was excited.
It simply didn't make sense to him.
In his eyes, he was just a joker, and you were a queen.
Yet, despite this perception, you had fallen deeply for him. You had let your guard down, allowed him straight into your heart, and surrendered as soon as you could.
In that fleeting moment, everything felt perfect between the two of you. It was soft and romantic, yet both of you felt drained from the intense passion of your lovemaking, soon drifting close to sleep.
Only a few words managed to escape before the tranquillity of slumber took over.
"I love you, y/n/n."
"I love you too, Willy."

warnings: oh, it’s long. but it’s chatty, so it should go fast...
Jordan was enjoying a pleasant evening at camp and he really didn’t want to bring the mood down. There was absolutely no way Colette had anything pleasant to say.
So…
Colette: declined. Colette: declined.
He would let her complaints go to voicemail, like he usually did.
Then, a short while later, a call from Milo, which was unusual because he’d spoken to the boys only an hour ago.
Hey, what’s up, buddy?”
But it wasn’t Milo. It was Colette.
“It’s endearing, truly, how quickly you answer the phone for your son.”
“What are you doing on Milo’s phone? Where is Milo?”
Colette’s voice in his deeply-buried memories shouted, Answer your phone, you asshole. He’s dead. Why aren’t you here? You need to be here!
Several combined nightmares flashed through Jordan’s head—that he didn’t answer Colette’s call and something was wrong this time, that something happened to one of the boys, that he wasn’t there, that he didn’t get to say goodbye. Again.
“He’s fine,” Colette said. “He’s playing basketball across the street. But you wouldn’t have answered if I called you from my phone.”
Exhale.
Maria watched him with wide eyes. He patted her shoulder as he got up, mouthing, It’s okay.
He walked off into the dust where they couldn’t hear.
“You blame me for not answering? You usually don’t have anything productive to say.”
“What was so important you can’t answer?”
“My whole life is important,” he said.
“What if something happened?”
“I read the texts, I listen to your nasty voicemails. I talk to them every day. I talked to them just an hour ago. I knew it was just going to be your usual nagging.”
“So, this is what we do now? You send my calls to voicemail, then answer back hours later with a text?”
“It works for me,” Jordan quipped. “How’s Milo’s homework?”
Milo had shown him his most recent report card already, and it was solid B’s and C’s. She couldn’t fault him on that.
“It’s a passable idea only because you’re not here to help him properly,” she said.
“Hate me if you want,” he said. “But you don’t have to punish the boys because you want to punish me.”
“I'm punishing the boys? Oh, that's rich.”
“You are, because you like being mad more than you like being happy.”
Colette huffed. “You don’t know anything.”
“Did you actually want something? Or you just called to insult me? This is why I don’t answer your calls.”
“When did you get so snotty? If you were this spunky when we were together, maybe we wouldn’t have broken up.”
“Yes, we would,” he said.
“Yes. I did want something. The boys said you’re coming back in December? Is that true? Don’t promise them things if you don’t mean it.”
“I mean it,” he said. “I’ll be there.”
“For how long?”
“I don’t know yet. A month, at least.”
“Fine. I’ll set the court date.”
“We don’t have to go to court.”
“Yes, we do,” she sneered. “I want a child support schedule. You need a lawyer. There’s a way to do this and you’re doing it wrong. They won’t give you any custody if you don’t have a place to live. That camper is not a home. Not even summers, not even for a few weeks. And my boys aren’t going to sleep on the floor of whatever skank you’ve hooked up with.”
Jordan bristled at the idea of Colette calling Maria a skank.
“You must be fucking someone by now,” she said. “We haven’t had sex for almost a year. And I knew you were with that blonde skank. The photographer. I watched her channel, and she was going on and on about you.”
God damn it, Ingrid. “It’s not real. None of that is real. She’s a writer. She makes shit up. I’m not with Ingrid. I never was.”
He worried then that Maria had been watching Ingrid’s channel, too.
“To be honest,” she said, “I just don’t believe you.”
She must have sensed something was going on, and he hadn’t been totally honest with her. He didn’t know how much information he owed her, but she was the mother of his children and she had to find out eventually. He was surprised, but proud, that the boys hadn’t spilled the beans already.
“So, I have been seeing someone,” he began.
Seeing someone? It was rather more involved than that by now, since she was here with her child, since they were living together, since she left her entire life for him, since he made an irrevocable promise not to break either of their hearts for now and all of eternity? What do you call that? Quite more than just “seeing someone.” They made vows.
“It’s not Ingrid. Her name is Maria and you don’t know her.”
Colette was so silent on the other end that he thought the call disconnected.
Then she finally asked, “How long?”
“Since August.”
“Do the boys know about her?”
“Yes, they do.”
“Those little fuckers.”
“Don’t be like that,” he said. “It’s not their fault. I asked them to let me tell you first.”
“Then what took you so long?”
He couldn’t think of a good answer, but she didn’t wait for one anyway.
“You met her at work?” she asked.
“Uh, yeah. I did.”
“I knew it, you always loved going in there. Must have been some reason, since the money was shit. How are you seeing someone from work if you don’t live here anymore?”
“She’s here now,” he said. “She moved here. She’s living with me. We’re living together.”
“Living together. Ha! She’s living with you, in your camper? Wow.” Colette cackled into the phone. “She sounds like a real winner. Let me guess: bleach blonde, fake tan, tramp stamp, missing a couple of teeth?”
“Fuck off, Colette.”
“Don’t get your panties in a bunch,” she said. “Whatever, I don’t care anymore.”
He could imagine the way her nose swung up, a single sharp intake and a huff.
“Good, how was your date with the doctor? Everything you ever dreamed of?”
Silence again, a few breaths too long. “He drives a Porsche and his dick is bigger than yours.”
“He sounds like your soulmate, better hang onto him,” Jordan said.
“Since when do you believe in soulmates? Oh, God, never mind, I don’t want to hear it. See you in December.”
click
Jordan knew there was little chance Colette actually went on that date. She should, though. She honestly should.
— “boxes and squares #5.2: come down from the clouds” (10/10)
previously: the blonde photographer // the boys know first // they made vows
Next -> // 5.2 start // index
author’s notes: and that concludes chapter #5.2!
Also I think it makes for a decent transition into #5.3, in which Colette will have the spotlight entirely to herself! (She’s going to love that.)
Chapter #5.3, “hindsight is a bitch” will begin after a short break.

"Really, Queen Victoria? You have some sort of AI in your breasts?" Revati asked, rolling her eyes.
"This human had nano beauty bots installed fourteen years ago, similar to the ones constantly cleaning your teeth," the alien AI voice stated, using the queen's vocal cords.
"Cute party trick. Is the queen still alive in there?" Revati asked.
"This body's consciousness has been removed," the AI replied.
"Is that your plan then? Are you here to steal everyone's bodies and use them as batteries?" Revati asked.
Normally, whenever the Queen spoke, her face was constantly shifting between annoyed scowls and semi-amused smirks. This creature, however, didn't seem to know how faces worked. The lips were expanding upwards, showing far too many teeth. The eyes were too wide.
"No, the spider is here for the weapon. Let us take it, and we shall leave your colony to die off," the AI replied, cocking its head to one side.
"Fine, take it and leave," Revati replied, throwing her solar flare gun at the queen's weapon.
"That is not the weapon. Give us the weapon, or we shall hijack your teeth," the queen said.
"My teeth don't have cleaning bots! My mother makes me chew fresh basil and peppermint," Revati snapped back before picking up her gun and aiming it at the queen's chest. There was only enough charge left for one more shot. Revati realized wasting it twice before was probably a terrible idea. Sometimes the best thing to do was run, and Revati bolted around the corner as fast as her boots could carry her. Every few seconds, she could hear the queen's heavy footsteps. Revati's breath grew ragged with fear. There was no real escape.
"Just give us the weapon! All will be forgiven," screamed the queen from two rows away. Revati skidded to a stop when she realized she had reached the Maze's glowing balloon stand. The balloon stand was nothing more than an empty gold cart covered in red playing card decals. Back before the tornado, all the children in the park would play hide and go seek. Revati hid so often inside the balloon cart that Dityaa would find her within seconds.
The footsteps were coming closer, feet crunching upon gravel. Revati hauled herself up onto the cart, and it wobbled dangerously under her weight. Carefully, she slid inside, closing the cart's door behind her. Years had passed, and she barely fit inside. There was a small crack in front of her, a hole that had once been used to attach the machine that filled balloons with glowing gas. Revati peered through it, breathing quietly, and watched as the queen's feet crunched on the pebbles in pretty stained slippers. Suddenly, the queen's feet stopped, her dress skirts falling and landing on the rocks.
"Do you have the weapon?" The AI voice asked. Revati slowly opened the top of the cart and peeked out. Dityaa was standing in front of the Queen, pretty and confused, still wearing her ballgown from the night before. Her carefully styled hair had fallen down her shoulders in chaotic indigo curls. Her shoulder still had a smudge of the peculiar moss on it. If Dityaa was anyone else, she would have looked like someone who had just rolled out of bed, or possibly a ditch. Instead, Dityaa looked like a lost woodland nymph.
"It's you, the weapon," the AI said flatly, and Dityaa glanced behind her shoulder.
"I'm sorry, Your Highness, but I have no idea what you're referring to. I'm on my way to meet the Duke," Dityaa giggled before trying to brush past the Queen as politely as possible.
"Dityaa, run!" Revati screamed, and the queen's arms moved with a flash. In a moment of sudden violence, the hands closed tightly around Dityaa's throat. The fingers, firm and unyielding, pressed relentlessly against her skin, constricting the airway with a ruthless intent. Revati crawled out of the cart, grabbed one of the pebbles on the path, and threw it at the queen's head. The queen barely reacted when the rock struck her temples. Instead, the knuckles on her hand grew white as Dityaa gasped violently, her eyes rolling back into her head. Suddenly, Dityaa blinked, and her eyes glowed an eerie blue.
The queen gasped, staggering backward, her hands flying to her chest. Black gritty sand was pouring out of the front of her cleavage, spilling down her white bodice. The queen's eyes widened with shock before she fell face-first onto the pebbles. Dityaa, meanwhile, sat down on pebbles, rubbing her throat, a terrified expression on her face.
"Did you do that?" Revati asked, and Dityaa nodded.
"How the hell did you do that?" Revati shrieked, and Dityaa shrugged her shoulders before bursting into dry tears.
"It's alright, Dityaa," Revati said absently, leaning down to pat her shoulder. Like most children born after the appliance war, Dityaa and Revati had their tear ducts genetically altered. It was done to prevent emotional crying, which was seen as a dangerous hazard. Dityaa still tried to cry all the time, however, his noisy crying with a dried-up red face.
Revati went to examine the queen. The queen's chest, which now looked blotchy and wrinkled, was rising and falling.
"Well, she's not dead! What is this stuff? Black mold? Did AI figure out how to weaponize killer mushrooms?" Revati asked, trying to make sense of the entire situation.
Dityaa crawled towards the queen, wiping her dry eyes.
"It's creatrix sand. You were too little to remember, but this was how we used to make everything in the city," Dityaa said, her voice whispery soft and croaking.
"Really? I thought creatrix sand would be prettier and glowing," Revati replied, checking her pulse.
"I could see the robots in her skin, I could see them made out of creatrix sand," Dityaa whispered, stunned.
Queen Victoria's eyes fluttered open.
"I was dead!" she screeched, sitting up.
"I don't think 'dead' is the right word. Your body was hijacked by an AI device," Revati said, helping the queen stand up.
"I know what I saw! I was floating above the infinite cosmic heart of space and time," the queen snapped back, still looking startled.
"Really? When Dad died, we put his soul in a storage drive," Revati said.
"I don't have access to one of those! I was floating through all of human history! It was ghastly," the queen cried, and she wobbled a bit as if getting used to her feet before walking off.
"Where are you going?" Revati demanded to know.
"I know where the crack in the walls is! I'm going to fix it before my guards with cyber hearing implants go on a rampage," the queen said before storming off.
That left Revati alone with Dityaa, who was rubbing her bruised neck.
"So, someone's tried to kill you twice in twenty-four hours," Revati pointed out, both horrified and amused by the entire situation.
"It's not funny! Someone must object to the Duke's feelings for me," Dityaa choked, and Revati shook her head.
