Fiyero Tigelaar had never been one for poetry. He was never the type to get swept up in grand gestures or sigh dreamily into the night about love. That was before you. Before the way you walked into his life and, with a single smile, sent his carefully constructed world into a tailspin. Before he realized that love wasn’t just some abstract concept people sang about in ballads—it was a living, breathing force that had taken root in his very soul, and it had a name. Yours.

And so here he was, utterly and hopelessly in love with his wife.

You were currently in the kitchen of your small home in the Vinkus, humming softly as you poured tea into two cups, completely unaware of the absolute tragedy you had inflicted upon your husband. Fiyero sat at the table, chin resting in his hand, watching you with a look so sappy that even Glinda would have made a gagging noise at the sight of it.

You were radiant. You always were, but there was something about you in these quiet moments, dressed in one of his old shirts, hair lazily tied back, that made his heart squeeze almost painfully in his chest. He was gone. Absolutely done for and you were to blame and yet he wouldn't have had it any other way.

“You’re staring again,” you teased without turning around, amusement lacing your voice.

Fiyero grinned, unabashed. “Can you blame me? Have you seen you..my goddess....my queen?”

You rolled your eyes but couldn’t fight the smile that tugged at your lips as you turned, placing a cup of tea in front of him. “Flattery will get you nowhere, Tigelaar.”

“That’s a lie and we both know it,” he countered smoothly, tugging you down onto his lap before you could escape.

You let out a soft laugh, but you didn’t resist, leaning into the warmth of his embrace. His arms wrapped around your waist, holding you close as he pressed a lingering kiss to your shoulder.

“I love you,” he murmured against your skin, his voice softer now, almost reverent.

You turned in his hold, your eyes meeting his, and Fiyero was struck once again by just how much he adored you. It was overwhelming sometimes, how deeply he felt it.

“You’re hopeless,” you said fondly, running your fingers through his unruly hair.

He nodded. “Utterly.”

“Madly?”

“Without a doubt.”

“Desperately?”

Fiyero smirked, pressing his forehead against yours. “In every way.”

Your hands cupped his face, thumbs tracing along his cheekbones as you whispered, “Good. Because I’m just as hopeless for you.”

And with that, you kissed him, slow and sweet, sealing the truth of your words between you. Fiyero sighed into it, a man entirely and completely lost to the love he had found in you. And if he were to spend the rest of his days this way—hopeless, utterly, desperately in love—then he would count himself the luckiest man in all of Oz.

And truly, he already did.

fiyero's point of view of part one is hilarious. He leaves elphaba and glinda to themselves for one day and now Elphie is wanted by the government and glinda is technically a prisoner/is kissing up to the wizard and super sad about Elphie. The throuple is in danger and now he's left to hold the braincell.
