♡ Summary - When Romeo ends up hurt during training, Artemis comes to help!

~ Hello! Bear here, I was a little nervous to post this since it’s oc content and I don’t know if people will be interested in that.. but I wanted to write some agere about two of my favourite Fire Emblem Ocs, Romeo and Artemis! Romeo is a wyvern knight.. with a dark past and a weakness for the colour pink, and Artemis is a dancer who is the epitome of sunshine! I hope you enjoy this little ramble of two ocs I adore!

Training was never fun.. especially not in the blazing heat, but you could never be too prepared. Artemis took a long drink from his water bottle as he sat on one of the dusty wooden benches, trying to catch his breath. He had to make sure he was at his best in terms of combat.. you never know when enemies could strike. His amber eyes scanned the emptiness of the training grounds, being alerted by the growls and snorts of Romeo’s Wyvern.. ah- she seemed to be in a bad mood today.. most likely due to the heat.

“This heat is awful, Primrose- I know exactly how you feel.” Romeo groaned, trying to keep his Wyvern calm.. until a loud bang rang out through the training grounds, causing the wyvern to rear up in the air, letting out a ferocious roar.

Romeo’s eyes widened, trying to get his grip back on the reins so he could calm her, but his fingers slipped. He let out a surprised shout as he slipped off of the creature, hitting the sawdust with a thud. The fall hadn’t been too bad.. but oh Sothis did it hurt. Romeo felt the pain reverberate through his body.

Artemis stood up, hurriedly jogging over to the injured man and kneeling down, a look of panic on his face.

“Romeo! Are you okay, can you get up? Do you want me to fetch-“ he started before Romeo burst into tears, his previously calm composure dissolving in an instant. He didn’t normally react like this.. Normally he’d just get up and get back to work, Artemis looked concerned for a moment before realising.. ah, Romeo had probably regressed, he smiled softly, lowering his voice as not to startle Romeo.

He reached out, carefully helping Romeo Lean up, lifting him up into his strong arms.

“There there, little rabbit..” he shushed Romeo gently, trying his best to soothe his upset ally. He carried Romeo in a gentle manner, looking around for any other students- he knew Romeo hadn’t really addressed his regression in front of anyone other than him and Byleth.. and he didn’t want to accidentally embarrass him.

“It’s okay Romeo, you just took a little tumble. It’s alright.” Artemis whispered, patting Romeo’s back as he gently held Primrose’s reins, leading her back to the stables, whispering soothing words into his ear as he took the wyvern back to her stall.

Once Primrose had been calmed and put back in the stables, Artemis looked down at Romeo.. he had calmed down a lot, only letting out a few sniffles every now and then. Artemis smiled softly as he carefully carried Romeo through the halls of the monastery, all the way back to the dormitory. Romeo sniffled, clinging to Artie’s shirt with a little whimper.

“Oh? It’s okay, baby.. it’s just us two.” Artemis assured him, carefully retrieving the keys to Romeo’s room out of Romeo’s pocket and unlocking the door, gently pushing it open. He carried Romeo over to his bed, tutting quietly at the messy state of the room before lying him down on the bed.

Artemis put his hands on his hips, chuckling softly as he saw Romeo get comfortable and snuggle down.. but he still looked a little upset. Artemis couldn’t blame him- that tumble did seem a little painful.

“Alright, little one. It seems you bumped your knee a little when you fell of that wyvern of yours..” Artemis said, his voice quiet and kind, like the warm rays of the sun. He looked around the room, looking for bandaids of some kind, or just something that could help with Romeo’s injury.

“Let’s get you into something more comfortable.. then I’ll find something for that knee.” Artemis muttered, kneeling down and dragging Romeo’s box of little items from underneath the bed, he knew Romeo kept them under there so no one would find them.. thankfully, Artemis had been one of the few that Romeo had told him the location of his supplies, just in case something happened.

Artemis opened the box, bringing out a nappy, a pink pacifier and a onesie, the onesie was quite adorable, made to resemble a wyvern, with a long tail and little wings. He showed the items to Romeo, waiting for his approval before he began to change him.

He made sure to keep Romeo distracted from the change, singing softly to him as he put the soft nappy on him, helping him into the onesie and buttoning it up. He chuckled, handing Romeo his pacifier.

“Why, don’t you look cute! You make such a cute Wyvern, little one.” He said, taking a colourful bandaid from the box and gently applying it to Romeo’s knee before pulling down the leg of the onesie to cover it up, grinning.

“All done!” He announced before lifting Romeo onto his lap, ruffling his pink locks. His heart warmed as he saw Romeo smile a little, getting comfortable on his lap. He wrapped his hands around the pink-haired man, hugging him gently.

He was happy to look after Romeo for as long as his presence was wanted.. Romeo was a very dear friend to him after all. He would always be there for Romeo, whenever and wherever he needed him to be there for.

Just out of curiosity.. if I did post more content of my ocs (I have many more then just Romeo and Artemis!) .. who would you want to see more of?

I have many other ocs from different fandoms such as Genshin, Persona, Fire Emblem Engage/Fates/Awakening etc, and I would love to post about them! But I don’t know whether you guys would be interested in seeing more oc content?
