This tweet bothers me.

Cos this person is mad that James Corden and Rebel Wilson made fun of a movie that looked bad instead of being mad at the companies that overworked them and then fired them for a movie that still ended up looking like garbage.

And like...???

It's like the Hollywood equivalent of being mad at your coworker for calling in instead of being mad at your bosses for not factoring sick days into their hiring practices. Like, #fighttherealenemy????

Also, you were working 80 hours a week? Yeah, that tracks. Know why? Cos it looks like it. That movie looks like everyone who worked on it was exhausted and stressed out, and nobody wanted to be there. It looks like it was made in a sweat shop. It looks like it was made by people who didn't care what it looked like as long as it was finished. **It looks like it was made exclusively for the financial benefit of the kind of people who would hire visual effects artists, work them to death, and then fire them.**

It was the worst thing i have ever put in front of my eyes, and that includes Tommy Wiseau's bare ass. I'm not going to pretend that it wasn't because you were overworked on it.

And again, you are directing your anger in the wrong place. James Corden and Rebel Wilson were not the ones who made you work 80 hours a week. James Corden and Rebel Wilson are not the people who fired you. They are people who were in the movie... and were made to look bad. They looked bad in it, and their names are permanently tied to this bad movie forever. This movie will follow them for the rest of their lives in a way that it will not follow you.

I would also argue that they demonstrated a key point -- in fact, the lesson that i hope we can all take away from this -- that computer generated visual effects cannot and should not be expected to take the place of skilled costume designers and makeup artists.

TL;DR, the villains of this story are not a couple of comedians making a joke at the expense of a bad movie that they were in, but rather the disgustingly profit-centric production companies and businessmen that intentionally create VFX sweatshops, overwork and underpay employees, use terms like "independent contractor" to avoid having to treat their employees humanely, immediately bankrupt their companies and mass-fire employees in order to bag whatever money they can, and that the answer is not to demand that people act like something was good that wasn't but rather to insist on labor reform in the film industry. #fighttherealenemy

Hillary, I want Rodham back....

***SOAPBOX WARNING ⚠️*** Hey, you know how the "I'm with Her" crowd is scapegoating Bernie supporters for the Trump presidency. Well, now the once-almost-coronated-DNC-queen is doing the same. Shocker. Guess what #ImWithHer-ers, the vast majority of us #FeelTheBern-ers voted for Clinton. It's called biting the bullet, shitting where we don't drink, choosing the lesser of two evils. Its called prioritizing. Clinton was flawed and corrupt. Her petulant whininess in her new book shows that even clearer. But, between her corruption and Trump's CORRUPTION, I'll gladly bite the bullet and prioritize the better of the two. In comparison to Trump, Clinton was an amazing candidate. In comparison to Sanders, she was a mediocre, status quo D.C. politician, with the same kind of ties to Wall Street, Pharma, the Military-Industrial complex, and Fossil Fuels that most politicians have. She is very Wonder Bread much like over 90% of Washington politicians. Kinda "eh". Sanders was different. He was a fresh baked, chocolate chip banana bread loaf that Grandma made for you with pure love. Sorry to be hyperbolic, but Sanders really was FAR SUPERIOR to Clinton. This has nothing to do with sex, misogyny, or any misguidance on my part. I'm no dummy, and I have done years of research, following both of their political careers, following Clinton since she was a NY Senator, and following Sanders ever since I learned he sponsored and proposed a Medicare-for-All bill years ago. Sanders has so much more integrity than Clinton. I'm not saying he's perfect, but when he proposes ideas, he goes about achieving them in more honest, transparent, and populist ways, listening to the desires of what most people want and need. Clinton, like most politicians, bends and changes and white lies and waffles and flips and flips again, and has her hand in many honey pots. Honey pots that want her to help them take more honey from us worker bees. Give me the early Hillary Rodham, the one before the Arkansas conservatives ruined her, or the asshole American public of the vicious 90's further neutered her, give me that brash, intelligent, passionate RODHAM woman of the 70's. I'd vote for her a million times over. 2016 CLINTON, eh, not so enthused. But a candidate who has fought for gay rights since the 80's, one who has wanted universal healthcare for decades, one who opposed the Iraq War, one who fueled his presidential campaign by the small donations of people like me, poor and unheard, yeah, I'll take that guy any day, no matter how many asshole "Bernie Bros" sully his good name in total opposition to what Sanders stands for. Sanders, the president we should have had if American government worked right, if there wasn't corruption in the DNC primary process, and if the rich and powerful didn't puppet our elections for their own personal gain.
