Happy 28th anniversary to Dead or Alive!

On the 26th of November, twenty eight years ago, the original Dead or Alive game was released in Japanese arcades.

Dead or Alive is known for its fast-paced combat, intricate counter system, and dynamic interactive environments. The series features a diverse roster of fighters, each with unique styles and backstories, set within an overarching narrative. It has also gained attention for its detailed character models and controversial fan service. Beyond the core fighting games, the series has expanded into spin-offs like Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, emphasizing lighter gameplay and mini-games.

While a new Xtreme game is very much in development, there's no clear indication if a new fighting game is even being considered. Dynasty Warriors, another Koei Tecmo legacy series that was put on hold after a lackluster latest entry in favour of funding more Nioh-like games is very much coming back so maybe that could mean DOA is next?? Here's hoping!
