I know One Piece fandom gets called a cult and the show/manga is constantly called overrated by people who haven't seen it (including me in the past)... but it is genuinely that good. I'm so glad I gave it a shot.
#the only thing i don't like is how fights get stretched out over way too many episodes#i lose interest in them pretty quickly if they're just repeating the same beats over and over (like the fight at Baratie)#the arlong park fight was better because it had enough character vs character variety and dynamic changes to keep things interesting#arlong park put the main character in grave danger and gave the straw hats powerful and diverse opponents to fight before arlong himself#i think the fight against captain kuro was good but only because he's such a threatening and deadly presence on his own#his crew was completely forgettable and low-level whereas the fish men were all formidable opponents#and had personalities and unique fighting styles that actually challenged the straw hats#i just got through the whisky peak arc and thought it was incredibly well done as well with tight pacing and efficient fight time#the baroque works characters either gave zoro a genuine challenge or were quickly cut down and time wasn't wasted on them#plus the structured yet mysterious organization kept things interesting as various agents moved in and out of the fight#one piece

i think i need a break from art, but not in the sense that im burnt out more like i want to improve and while drawing a lot helps it’s probably good to take a step back and just. observe things. idk how to explain. i think my eye for improvement has sped up though, so now i start to hate things i made even a month ago oughhh ;_;
it’s probably why im trying to step away from twt, bc i always appreciate the support and people are REALLY nice i just cant help but feel im still not good.... i think my art lacks a lot of technical skill... ahah... imposter syndrome never leaves. i did learn to love art again and not give two shits about what im making bc its for me but !!! i still don't like having a lot of eyes on me...anyways im still on the journey to learn anatomy and i have greatly improved so im proud of that!
#also bc i want to pick up another hobby i desperately need to get away from the screen#when its a core part of ur work and hobby um girlie my eyes are completely destroyed#THIS SUMMER I WILL PLAY BASS ALL DAY I HAVE TO#ALSO i hope i dont come off as fishing for compliments or something im very grateful for what people say and it makes me happy! thank you!#i keep up the sillay facade to fight off the demons#anyways a lot of what i post is months...almost a year old in da files haha#dont think im crazy please (i am)
