Potential New Story for Paid Members Only!
Hello, dearest readers!
You read it.
Never Ending Case is a Stray Kids Alien AU and is currently for paid membership holders only!
I have never written an Alien AU before.
Judging from the work it took to write Chapter 1—Time to Step In, which is only 3,442 words in length, it's going to remain paid members only for a while.
I may open ONLY Chapter 1 to the public and cross-post it to give you a taste of whether you want to purchase a paid membership.
It will be an Alien, mature, smutty story with multiples with combos of m/m, f/m, m/f/m, etc.
To warn you, there is a possibility of tentacles, but I haven't gotten that far.
If the paid membership holders show a positive interest, I will work on the Title Banner and Page Breaks to make it look more official.
If you are interested in checking out Never Ending Case—A Stray Kids Alien Au, you can join my Patreon!

dumb/random things skz would do while ur dating
a/n: don’t ask me what this is or why i came up w it these are just Thoughts That I Have Sometimes
-
chan: if he has spare time and gets bored, he’ll splice up voicemails or voice messages you’ve sent him to make you say random shit and then he sends it to you out of nowhere with absolutely zero context. it could be anywhere from the raunchiest, dirtiest things you’ve ever heard, to just straight up dumb things, to him making you say how amazing and great he is and how much you love him. either way, he thinks he’s hilarious
minho: literally just stares at you for no reason. you’re on your phone across the room and he’s staring. just deadpan staring. and once you notice and make eye contact he gives you a mean look like you were staring at him first and he’s mad about it. even after you look away, he’s still staring. if you ask what he wants he’ll be like “why tf are you staring at me?? get a hobby, freak”
changbin: actually expects you to open doors for him and pull out his chair and lay your jacket out over a puddle. if you don’t, he just stares at you and eyes the thing he wanted you to do for him. obviously you’d never put your jacket over a puddle when he could literally walk around it but he’ll scoff and dramatically roll his eyes and make some comment about “guess romance really is dead” or something dumb
hyunjin: maybe he used to actually sketch you really nicely at one point but now he’s comfortable with you and now the only times he draws you is a really rough and quick sketch that’s so poorly done and it’s always you making ugly faces and he just slides it over to you and goes “this is you rn" and it’s you looking very pissed off and with a unibrow and you’re shrimp-backing so hard
jisung: keeps making those powerpoint presentations for you about different topics but he only makes them between like 11pm-3am so the farther into it he gets, the weirder it gets and the less sense it makes. usually the topics don’t really make sense either, though. like the time he showed you ‘101 reasons why you should still love me as a worm :)’. but there was the time he presented you with ‘69 reasons why i love you’ and even though 25% of them were weird things like ‘your breath smells normal’ and ‘you haven’t committed a felony so i don’t have to have a long distance relationship with someone in prison’ you still thought it was pretty sweet
felix: if you think he won’t act like those cringey gamer couples, you’re so fucking wrong. whether he’s doing it ironically or seriously, he’s going to drag you into his shenanigans. your names on different games have to match. they’ve been shit like ‘their dps / his pocket’ and 'grilled cheese / tomato soup’ to unhinged things like ‘mike huchie / mike hunt’ and ‘blowing smoke / smoke’. he always thinks it’s so fucking funny but you want to die. your discord names are ‘their daddy / his kitten’ and whenever you change it, he changes it back
seungmin: he does literally anything and pretends it wasn’t him. plays with your hair while you’re cooking dinner, but when you turn to look at him, he looks around and starts whistling. he’ll knock your closed water bottle straight out of your hand for no reason and then shrug at you like it was the fucking wind. even when he kisses your cheek he’ll gasp and be like “who did that?”
jeongin: he’ll act cute or whatever when he wants something but god forbid you do it back. the amount of judging he’ll do will make you want to leave the house. “please don’t ever do that again, you’re embarrassing me” as if you didn’t just copy everything he’s ever done to you. he’s gone so far as to pretend he doesn’t know you out in public over this. only he can be cute to get his way. if you do it, it’s cringe

An exclusive interview with head scientist of Numen Wight Laboratories, Nathan Hallow
[Tape starts]
Collins: Hello. This is reporter Kathy Collins of Science Journal, here with one of the head scientists of Numen Wight Laboratories, Dr. Nathan Hallow.
Hallow: Hello, Kathy. It's nice to be here.
Collins: Thank you for taking the time for this interview. Our listeners are already familiar with Numen Wight Labs and the incredible scientific advancements you've made, so lets cut to the chase. How do you guys do it?
Hallow: [laughs] Well, Mr. Wight was a successful man even before the Laboratory's founding. He's provided us with plenty of funding for our research, moreso than the average research facility. That, and our drive to learn more about the world, help us reach new frontiers.
Collins: Absolutely! In just ten years, your botany research has helped increase crop quality on half the amount of farmland, your robotics department have created some of the most realistic and high-quality prosthetics, all easily accessible for public use.
Hallow: You flatter us, Ms Collins.
Collins: Well, I think speak for everyone when I say your work is nothing short of incredible. Now - [papers rustle] - your paranormal department in particular has a lot of people very interested. There's word you've been collaborating with Felix Finchley, is there any truth to these rumours?
Hallow: Ha, oh no. It'd be an honour to work with Mr. Finchley, but I think we all know it'd be easier to get in touch with a ghost than with him. But I can't answer many questions about our paranormal department, a lot of that information is currently classified. I hope you understand.
Collins: Of course, I understand. Back to your botany department... has there been any progress in the gene-splicing experiments first discussed back in '83?
Hallow: Well... [silence] ...not much yet. It's a delicate process, and hard to keep unfamiliar genes stable when bonded. Our experiments so far have been inconclusive.
Collins: Do you think there'll be progress made any time soon?
Hallow: I hope so. Flora can be far stronger and more resilient than we give it credit for. It can break through concrete, survive the harshest conditions, some can even grow upside-down! We hope to harness and to refine those strengths.
Collins: Fascinating.
[silence]
Hallow: ...Do you have any further questions?
Collins: Perhaps you can tell us about the disappearances.
Hallow: Disappearances?
Collins: You must've heard of them. I've been keeping track, over the past four years at least nineteen people have gone missing, all last seen in the vicinity of Numen Wi-
Hallows: -That's enough, Miss Collins. These disappearances, although tragic, have no connection with Numen Wight Laboratories. I will not continue this interview if you continue to slander us.
Collins: My colleague, Trinity Harper, she was last seen here-!
Hallows: [sounds of a chair clattering] This interview is over!

Take me to Church: Grossmünster
Grossmünster, May 2023
Location: Zurich Country: Switzerland Denomination: Protestant Website: grossmuenster.ch
Grossmünster is a Romanesque styled church constructed from around 1100 to 1220 and built on the site of a Carolingian church that was said to be commissioned by Charlemagne.
The bronze doors of the main portal while not Medieval (done in 1935), caught my eye. People were streaming in and out so I lucky to get this shot! The majority of this door tells the story of the life of Hulrych Zwingli, the man who started the Swiss-German Reformation in Switzerland. But there are two that are not part of this story.
Let's explore. Bottom row, far left. Three figures holding their heads 😮 and bottom, far right - Charlemagne.
Turns out these three people are the three patron saints of Zurich, Felix, Regula and Exuperantius. They were beheaded in the 3rd century for converting to Christianity.
This is the seal stamp of the city seal of 1347 - Wikicommons
Other features of the cathedral include medieval pillars framing the entrance with modern grotesque decorated capitals.
Inside, the church was as Reformed as you could get with its scarce ornamentation- the legacy of Zwingli and his successor. I barely took any pictures.
But there were two things that caught my eye.
This modern carving of the tetramorph on either side of the main aisle before the altar. I spliced the pictures up to remove the aisle to get a seamless banner effect.
2. This medieval wall painting of the Virgin and Christ. Their faces likely removed during the Reformation (1520s)
Last shot before walking away to explore more were the two towers that are apparently one of Zurich's most famous landmarks. They were first erected between 1487 and 1492.
A fire in 1763 destroyed the original wooden steeples and these Gothic Revival ones replaced them in 1787.

Okay, I’m back, here’s my essay. Spoilers for seasons 12 and 13 of red vs blue.
First off, I think there are three PHENOMENAL examples of Felix being affably evil.
First, is his infamous betrayal. You can watch it right here:
youtube
You can watch the whole episode if you want, but you can skip to 3:15 for the start of the scene for a little context, or you can skip to 4:20 for just Felix.
Basically, Felix spent the last season and a half acting and pretending like he was a good guy. A charismatic mercenary with a gruff exterior but a heart of gold. This scene reveals that’s actually bullshit. It’s a shock to both the rest of the cast (minus Felix’s partner, of course) and the audience. Just… his fucking evil monologue was ASTOUNDING. It’s so well done. If you don’t want to watch it (but you definitely should), I’ll transcribe the big reveal in the next reblog in a couple minutes just so y’all don’t have to scroll past it if you already watched it.
The next good episode to show his affably evil is this one:
youtube
Skip to 8:30 for Felix. After a bit it cuts to another scene, so if you want to get back to Felix, skip ahead again to 9:35. Cuts again to another scene, skip ahead once again to 11:15. Once I get back to my laptop I can splice it all together if y’all want. I’ll transcribe it in another reblog as well.
Again, if you don’t want to watch it, felix talks and talks and monologues about how evil he is and it bites him in the ass in a fantastic way.
The third example of him being affably evil here this episode:
youtube
Unlike the last two, this one isn’t so much a single scene as much as it is the whole episode. The way he gains the trust of these strangers just to stab them in the back. The way he so clearly has fun killing. The way he laughs as he kills people. The way he says “relax, I’m not going to kill you” and the guy goes “you’re not?” And Felix goes “no. He is.” And then lets his partner kill him. Amazing.
And of course, I can’t NOT mention that he dies in THE most villain way possible. That’s right: falling to his death like Gaston
Vote for Felix. Please please he’s so evil and charismatic he’s everything you’ve ever wanted. Also if you want to see him out of his armor:
Look at him. He’s a skinny white twink in a suit. Y’all like that right?
He even has a large boyfriend who holds him by his skinny little twink waist. Is this not a recipe for everything this website loves???
Small Bracket Round 1-27
He's Horrible (❤️ ω ❤️)
Warren Kepler (Wolf359): Fans say: "smug ass bastard man he's so entertaining he's awful and horrible and i want to punch him in the face he's the character ever."
Isaac “Felix” Gates (Red vs Blue): Review: He’s horrible he’s my favorite character he’s a monster he’s never done anything wrong he’s committed war crimes he’s my little Angel he came straight from hell.
Marcus Cutter (Wolf359): Fans say: Worse than Kepler

Wooden Overcoats main characters ranked by how much I picture them looking like their voice actors
Why am I doing this? Why does anyone do anything. I’m just public-spirited, I suppose.
Rudyard Funn: Yes. I mean the version of Rudyard in my head is heavily inspired by fanart these days, but it’s fanart that still looks like Felix Trench, so it kind of circles back. Seeing him do the live shows was like, yes indeed, that is what I imagine Rudyard looks like when he’s throwing a tantrum.
(As a side note “the Funns have dark hair” is the one detail that seems to be completely consistent in fanart, and I can’t remember if it’s ever canonically established. In any case even with the fanartists who are like “I don’t care about canon descriptions, this is how they look in my head based on my personal tastes” they still always unfailingly have dark hair.)
Georgie Crusoe: Again, yes, more-or-less. The odd detail might be a little different in my head - I picture her with a somewhat stockier build, for example - but as visual templates go Ciara works very well.
Antigone Funn: I mean the basics are the same (tall, slight build, long dark hair) and the facial features work fine too (it doesn’t hurt that she and Felix could pass for siblings irl either) and she does a good job in the promo pictures, but it digresses a bit in that it’s established that Antigone is almost supernaturally weird-looking. If Beth Eyre was somehow genetically spliced with the mad scientist from a hammer horror film, or a particularly irritable Victorian ghost, that would be Antigone. But irl she’s just a bit too pretty and personable and… non-creepy looking.
Eric Chapman: Eric Chapman does not look like Tom Crowley. Eric Chapman looks like a Ken doll and a film star from the fifties had a child and that child is masking something deeply psychologically wrong with him. He’s still shorter than Antigone though. Not short, just shorter than Antigone.
Madeleine: Admittedly I do not know what Belinda Lang or Holly Campbell actually look like and I can’t be bothered checking. I’m just going to assume that neither of them is a mouse.

Maybe Bon didn’t kill Rosemary
The line she said where she “saw a rabbit” was cut off midspeech and then the next time we see her she is already cut up after the “make beautiful” line. I think the Shadow Figure, most likely Felix, killed her when Bon didn’t, because she escaped (”The third door is to hide” and “This place is easy to get lost.”/”We’ve been here already”). If Bon is Jack, he wanted to put her back together inside of Sha so she is beautiful and whole again and not just a bunch of cut up parts on the ground ie letting her haunt and be with him. Bon recognized her as Rosemary and it still scared her (this is before the eye scans were destroyed as said by Ashley and Brian later). But she ran away in fright, now knowing Jack was dead. And to finish the job of hiding witnesses, Felix offed her. And the footage is both haunted and doctored if there’s spliced audio and parts where it’s cut short. Unreliable narrator baybeh

Dimiclaude- arranged marriage ?
I had something else in mind completely, but then I saw a preview for "married at first sight" and decided to do a modern AU. Never seen the show, so I just made the rest up. Hope you like it!
Dimitri assessed himself in the ornate mirror again, acutely aware of the cameras capturing his every movement, every emotion. Even his wildest daydreams never once included a television camera crew filming his wedding. Yet, the chaos helped keep his attention far from the very real vows he was about to make to a man he had never met.
The venue was fantastic, he couldn't have selected something better himself. It warmed his heart to know the man he would be marrying found an outdoor wedding ideal as well, and where better than a vineyard overlooking a lush valley? So far, everything was perfect. Perfect venue, perfect weather, perfect suit, and, if all went well, he would leave with the perfect husband.
Sylvain's laughter announced his arrival, and Dimitri wasn't surprised to find the Producer, Manuela, fawning over him. "Heya, Dimitri! Whoa, Felix wasn't joking when he said you're dressed to the nines."
Manuela laughed, a practiced sound. "Of course, we couldn't have our star looking anything less than his best on his wedding day!" She clapped her hands together, "Alright, we need to film some camera confessionals to splice into the intro and before the breaks. Are you ready?"
Dimitri nodded, not trusting his voice. Dedue, his best man, had left to take a personal call. He was his rock through the whole process, by his side from the day he caved into Sylvain's suggestion and signed up for the matchmaking television show. Dedue's calm presence kept him centered while he waited months for a match to be made.
"Alright," Manuela clapped again, bringing his attention to the camera now in front of him. "First question: How are you feeling now?"
Dimitri inhaled and mentally repeated the general rules Manuela gave him for talking to the camera. He didn't want to redo the shots like he often had to at the beginning of the process. Being in front of the camera was nothing new for him, but filming reality television was very different from filming one of his movies.
"Right now… I am still in disbelief. I gave up finding love years ago, and to have this chance…" He looked away from the camera. "Knowing the man waiting for me at the altar is there because experts have determined we are compatible… Knowing he is not here because of my family name or my wealth means so much."
"Good, good. Question two" Do you think getting married will impact your career?"
"I hope not. My movies have been successful because of my talent, and while I am very aware of my… fan club… I believe they will be happy if I am happy."
"Question three: any pushback from your family during this process?"
"Only concern from my friends, but they support me going through with this. One of them is actually why I signed up for it- after a lot of cajoling. And some alcohol to calm my nerves."
Someone with a clipboard and earpiece grabbed Manuela's attention, and she motioned for him to walk around for some action shots as she disappeared out the door. He complied, but was disappointed to note Sylvain had slipped away during his interview. Typical; the man couldn't stay still on a normal day.
He walked to the window, looking out at the vineyard. Two small guest houses sat on the estate, built so couples could get ready for their wedding separately. There was no chance he would accidentally see his fiancé, and even if he did, how would he tell him apart from the other guests and crew milling about the property?
Would he like the man they chose for him? After so many interviews, personality tests, and various questionnaires, he sure hoped so. More importantly, would he like Dimitri? Was his custom Brioni suit too much? Would the non traditional deep blue be acceptable? His life was often a whirlwind when he was filming a movie, could his husband handle it? It was one of the most common relationship killer for him, and had been one of the first things he mentioned when he first signed up for the show. Had they remembered to take it into account?
"Good, good." Manuela's voice filled the room once more. "We can throw a voice over this, the audience will eat up that pensive staring out the window. Dimitri, are you ready?"
"Ready?"
"To get married, silly. We're about to start."
It was time already?
"Dimitri." Dedue's strong voice came from the doorway. He turned his gaze to Manuela, "May we have a moment?"
"Of course." She motioned for the camera to keep rolling and Dimitri sighed. Even with her out of the room, he needed to be camera ready.
"Dimitri," Dedue said again as he pulled Dimitri into a tight embrace. How in his head was he if he hadn't noticed Dedue crossing the room? "Breathe."
"Aww, are you guys having a moment I wasn't invited to?" Sylvain appeared at his side as he pulled away from Dedue. Immediately, he pulled Dimitri into a hug of his own. "If this doesn't work, then I had nothing to do with it. If you fall madly in love, then you're welcome."
Dimitri chuckled and pulled away from the embrace. Lingering just out of reach stood Felix. He knew better than to try and hug his prickly friend, instead he nodded towards him. "Thank you all. I could not imagine doing this without your support."
"Not having a change of heart, are we?" Manuela's head peeked into the room.
Dimitri forced a smile through his anxiety. "No. Let's go meet my future husband."
Manuela ushered him outside and into a covered golf cart. As they were driven up the hill to where he would get married, she double checked the microphone hidden in his Boutonniere. "Alright, so this venue is a tricky one since it's outside. There are two curtain boxes set up opposite each other. You will both step through them on cue and walk towards each other and meet in the middle at the altar. Got it?"
Dimitri nodded as the cart came to a stop. Manuela exited first then motioned for him to follow her. She pointed to where he should stand, and he strained his neck to catch a glimpse of anything before the white curtains blocked his view. A similar curtain was on the other side as she'd said. Chairs were set up for the few guests each brought with them, but were currently empty.
As he stood behind the curtains, Dimitri strained to hear what was going on. He couldn't see the chairs or the altar, but after a few minutes the sounds of soft chatter floated to him. The altar was just beyond a thin fabric. His husband was just beyond thin fabric.
Dimitri focused on his breathing. It was real. He was about to marry someone who's name he didn't know. While he thought he worked through his anxiety over it, he clearly had not. What did he do with his hands? What if he tripped as he walked to the altar?
Before he could continue to spiral further, Manuela was signaling him to walk out. He hesitated. His friends were out there, his husband's friends were out there. His husband was out there. With a deep breath, Dimitri pushed the curtain aside and stepped out.
He paid no attention to the people to his left, focused only on the man already standing across from him. Gorgeous did not do the man justice, and once Dimitri stepped out his face lit up, flashing Dimitri a wide smile. There was something familiar about him, something Dimitri couldn’t yet place as distracted as he was by the way his green eyes danced.
His husband stepped forward, breaking the spell he put over Dimitri. When they met in the middle, between the altar and their friends, Dimitri thought it was too good to be true.
Remembering himself, Dimitri smiled down and introduced himself. "H-hello, I am Dimitri."
"Whoa," the man said. "I thought my eyes were deceiving me, but it really is you." Dimitri's heart began to sink, afraid he was just another fanboy until he continued. "I'm Claude."
Oh- it clicked. Claude Von Riegan, lead singer of the band The Golden Deer. "This is really happening."
Claude smiled, "Yeah, it suuure is."
Dimitri wanted to talk to him, ask so many questions- touch him. But they were not alone up at the altar and a soft voice startled them both out of the moment they were sharing. "Welcome, everyone. I am Byleth, the officiant for this joyous occasion."
They paused to give Dimitri and Claude a moment to catch their bearings. Dimitri risked a glance to his friends, and was relieved to find them looking content. Annette gave him a thumbs up at the same time Sylvain wolf whistled. Claude's side was just as lively, and Dimitri recognized members of his band in the front row.
Byleth continued, bringing their focus back to them. "We welcome Claude Von Riegan and Dimitri Blaiddyd-"
Dimitri couldn’t focus on their speech, too busy getting lost in Claude's eyes. He had enough sense about him to respond to the vows when prompted, and was endlessly glad they didn't have to write their own.
"Now, I pronounce you married. You may now kiss your groom, forever sealing your union."
Dimitri was eager to do so, his nerves falling away when Claude's lips found his. He completely forgot about the cameras as he eagerly returned the kiss, and nearly groaned when Claude pulled away.
Cheers rang out from their friends. He heard Sylvain's shout of, "Power couple!" over everyone else.
They were ushered down the aisle, through their friends' congratulations and into another covered cart. Claude's hand found his as they were driven to where the reception was being held, and Dimitri squeezed it in silent answer.
"Hey?" Claude looked at him, a smile tugging playfully at his lips.
"Yes?"
"We're married," Claude said, nudging his shoulder into Dimitri's.
Dimitri leaned over, placing a chaste kiss on Claude's cheek. "Yes, we are." He brushed his knuckles along his husband's cheek before diving for his lips.
He couldn't be happier with the outcome, and looked forward to getting to know his new husband, and starting their life together.
Thanks for reading!!

Who Can Say if I've Been Changed For the Better?: Ferdibert Does Wicked
This concept has been a bit in building. It started from a much-loved cover by Hubert and Ferdinand’s VAs inspired by their support line and the broad observation that these two are a musicals couple who absolutely would sing their feelings in all manner of theatrical AUs. It continued through my later observation that there’s ample material to carry that idea even further, albeit with a shift outside of Crimson Flower for a better tonal match. Still, I’m not quite sure what to call this project; it’s not really a headcanon nor is it fanfic by any means. I’ve written a handful of longform character/narrative explorations before, although when it comes to FE I’ve previously been inspired to do so only for Jugdral characters. That setting is somehow both underdeveloped and deceptively dense - and I suppose in a way you could say the same of Three Houses as well, insofar as it’s been incredibly popular for fan content of all sorts.
Regardless of what this post is in terms of my fandom output, the following isn’t exactly a Wicked AU as such. Rather, it’s how I would envision a hypothetical blend of the non-CF routes of FE16 centering around the Eagles trio and set to the structure and songs of the musical as organically as possible. There are no 1:1 analogues with characters and plotlines from Wicked, because few if any would exist without a lot of tweaking; to use the VA cover example, Ferdinand might be a decent proxy for G(a)linda, but the mere presence of Edelgard substantially complicates Hubert’s claim to the Elphaba role. The similarities only unravel further from there, but I did my best.
Writing this out gave me the opportunity to play around with Edelgard’s character as a way of addressing what I and many others in my circle have long considered to be some of the major problems with her canon presentation. For Ferdibert meanwhile I got to make use of my headcanons for how their relationship would develop outside of their support line, in a way that mostly preserves Hubert’s delightful evil wickedness. Add some ruminations on how one would splice together the non-CF routes in a dramatically satisfying fashion, some snark directed at the non-character of Byleth, and a bit of background Dimidue/Lions OT5 for spice and that just about sums it up. Enjoy this…whatever this is.
Act I
“No One Mourns the Wicked”
The show opens on the citizens of Adrestia celebrating the death of their emperor and the end of her bloody war. Ferdinand rides in, resplendent on his steed, and is hailed as the new Duke Aegir as he relates to the crowd the news of Edelgard’s death at the hands of the combined army of liberators. The “Are people born wicked?” flashback sequence is replaced with a summary mostly in pantomime of Edelgard’s backstory: the Insurrection, her being taken to Faerghus and then returning, and then being experimented on by the Agarthans before agreeing to work with them. Notably Hubert is not named or referenced anywhere in this song, appearing only as a boy at Edelgard’s side at appropriate times during the flashback.
“Dear Old Shiz”
Someone in the crowd finally brings up Hubert, the emperor’s vile and murderous minister, and accuses Ferdinand of having been his friend. With Ferdinand even more flustered than Glinda since his “It depends on what you mean by friend” definitely carries sexual undertones, so begins the flashback to Part 1. There’s an equivalent intro of Garreg Mach, so one may feel free to insert any headcanons for school songs here. The following dialogue scene establishes the student body in general and the dynamic of the Eagles trio in particular: Ferdinand pompous and eager to one-up Edelgard at any opportunity, and Edelgard and Hubert cold and dismissive toward his antics and just about everyone else for that matter. Edelgard is instantly enamored of the quiet new professor, of course. Because the room assignment conflict doesn’t make a lot of sense with the monastery’s setup, instead Ferdinand is incensed that Edelgard is chosen as the Eagles’ house leader over him even though it’s been ages since a Hresvelg has attended. Neither Nessarose nor Morrible has an exact equivalent (although Seteth can act in Morrible’s role as the academy’s main authority figure), so the segue into the next song ends there.
“The Wizard and I”
Now alone together, Edelgard and Hubert have a brief dialogue outlining their villainous plans for the school year. This establishes Hubert’s hypercompetency but also how detached and professional Edelgard is around him. Then comes the song, now “My Lady and I,” which serves as Hubert’s character introduction. In tones more sinister than Elphaba ever reaches - you know he’d have fun with “When people see me they will scream” - he outlines his history with his lady, that he delights in serving her because she validates his work ethic and gives him an outlet for his ruthlessness and cruelty. Where Elphaba fantasizes about the Wizard removing her green skin, Hubert instead goes full Nice Guy, believing that once he’s given Edelgard her continental empire and crushed all her enemies she’ll be so grateful that of course she’ll put out for him.
“What Is This Feeling?”
You could rip the tone of this one directly from the Ferdibert C support and change nothing - homoerotic subtext included. I like the thought of Hubert replacing Elphaba’s deadpan one-word summation of Galinda with a mocking imitation of Ferdinand's most memetic line: "He is Ferdinand von Aegir!". The chorus can be made up of any number of other students excluding Edelgard, who’d happily agree that Hubert is ugly, creepy, and downright unpleasant.
“Something Bad”
The content of this song and surrounding scenes would have to be completely altered, but they work as a necessary reminder that the plot of Part 1 is still going on in the background of all the school drama. Seteth runs through the major events up to Chapter 9 of the game, including the bandit threat, Flayn’s kidnapping, and the experiments on the Remire villagers. The audience/accompaniment for this exposition dump ought to be Dimitri and Claude with Byleth as a silent observer (more on them later), with Edelgard brushing off the news and eventually being the one to shut down the song as Morrible does. There could be some small side character moments in here as well particularly involving the Lions and Deer since they get so little focus in this story.
“Dancing Through Life”
Speaking of which, this was an awkward sequence to place. It matches up chronologically with the ball in Chapter 9 and the main part, Fiyero’s, is a dead ringer for Sylvain and his flirty, hedonistic nihilism (“Nothing matters / but knowing nothing matters!”), but it’s hard to tie into what’s going on with the Eagles trio particularly with the Ferdibert timeframe preserved, i.e. unlike Elphaba and Galinda they don’t become closer until after the timeskip.
As such I see this song as an opportunity for little vignettes with the other students: Dimitri angry over how Dedue’s talked about and hoping they can share a dance (fitting contrast with the coldness of Edelbert), Felix prickly between Dimitri’s recent outbursts and Sylvain’s showboating, Claude hinting toward the bigger picture with Hilda flitting between her excitement over the dance and knowing more than she's letting on, Dorothea casually taking note of Edelgard’s fascination with Byleth (see just below), Bernadetta as a wallflower who doesn’t want to be disturbed (a setup for Act II), etc. Thanks to one of the Forging Bonds events in Heroes I had the thought that the "You/we deserve each other" through line that later gets attached to Nessarose can become one for Dimitri's relationships, with Felix initially throwing it out at him and Dedue and the two of them then turning "We deserve each other" into a romantic line...and then an ironic one and finally a triumphant one come Act II, by that point with Felix et al included as well.
I’m not sure that the following scene of Galinda and Elphaba bonding on the dance floor really needs an equivalent, although it could be altered to something Edeleth-related. In any case Ferdinand ought to get a dance scene of some nature, so he can try to show up Edelgard as he brags about in canon.
“Popular”
It would be a travesty to have a musical starring FE16’s cast and not give Dorothea and/or Manuela a solo. This song works quite well for the former, and it doesn’t intrude on the Ferdibert development with the aforementioned timeframe and how the lightly sapphic vibe doesn’t translate well to two guys. Dorothea has taken note of her good friend Edie’s crush on their mysteriously wooden professor, and she senses the opportunity for a makeover. Not as exaggerated as Dorothea trying to make over Hubert, naturally, but I still think this works out well. Also, Galinda’s observation on leaders, “Did they have brains or knowledge? / Don’t make me laugh! They were popular!”, is darkly comedic when said to Edelgard.
“I’m Not That Girl”
This song comes with preceding dialogue scenes for setup, so those first. Edelgard emerges fresh from her makeover (given her general hot for teacher fixation, I’m thinking she’d lean pretty hard on the naughty schoolgirl look) to Byleth silently grieving Jeralt’s death - bad timing there. She’s as callous about it as she is in canon, only now with more clumsy flirting, and while it’s impossible as always to tell if Byleth notices or cares Hubert most certainly does. The scene segues into the Eagles trio together, with Edelgard alluding to the upcoming events in the Sealed Forest and indicating that Hubert should meet up with her later for some more villainous scheming after he’s ditched Ferdinand. Ferdinand, indignant about being left out of the loop as he is in canon, grumpily points out that he was a much more splendid dancer at the ball than Edelgard, makeover or not. To his utter surprise, Hubert acknowledges that this is true before leaving. This leads into the actual song, altered from homoerotic via triangulation of desire to an outright sexual awakening for Ferdinand. He realizes that part of his jealousy toward Edelgard is that he wishes Hubert were devoted to him instead, and tells himself not to get his hopes up because he’s, well, not that girl or even a girl. We shall of course leave aside how anyone could be attracted to someone as repulsive as Hubert; that’s part of the inherent comedy of this pairing.
“One Short Day”
This was the hardest song to place in this whole project. The touristy trip to the Emerald City just doesn’t have an analogue in the story of Three Houses, especially not late in Part 1 when tension is mounting toward the upcoming reveal and war. It took me a while to realize that it works wonderfully as an Edeleth piece: Edelgard invites Byleth to Enbarr for her coronation, but that scene is left offscreen in favor of a light romp through the city that further highlights Edelgard’s crush as well as her emotional immaturity in spite of everything she’s about to do. She just wants to have a fun day out and take in the sights and eat sweets with her beloved teacher, and it’s all very “Edge of Dawn”-esque where Edelgard knows she’s about to do terrible things that will change everything forever and hopes to prolong the time until she has to take that step. Adjustments to the lyrics could even work in reference to that song to make the similarities more apparent. An awkward/funny issue here is that I envision Byleth to be totally silent throughout this musical with no sung or spoken parts, which would naturally make them having a duet impossible and make Edelgard’s fascination with them even weirder. Even their gender should be left ambiguous throughout, somehow never confirmed if it’s m!Byleth or f!Byleth. It would take a lot of reworking, but I can see the value in it.
“A Sentimental Man”
The core of the Wizard’s character is not all that different from Rhea’s. Both were thrust unexpectedly into positions of authority that required them to enact a large-scale deception to maintain their power/safety, and both are driven somewhat by parental feelings. The tone of the Wizard’s songs doesn’t align well with Rhea, but once you cut out the vaudeville and do some rewording I could see this one working as Rhea addressing her child (among other things) Byleth at the Holy Tomb just before the Flame Emperor reveal. Of course the dramatic irony hits differently; Rhea knows who and what Byleth is whereas the Wizard doesn’t learn about Elphaba until the end of the show. Nonetheless this would still establish Rhea’s character and motivations as well as set the stage for the impending betrayal.
“Defying Gravity”
Said betrayal being Byleth’s, who decides to stand by Rhea and condemn Edelgard as the Flame Emperor when she arrives with her army. This is another song in parts that would need to be broken up. Edelgard gets the bulk of it, but the middle sections between Elphaba and Glinda could work as a kind of separated duet with Edelgard and Hubert attempting to convince Byleth and Ferdinand respectively to join them. Because of Byleth’s silence only Ferdinand can reply in song; only he and Edelgard add the “my friend” bit to the end of this segment, to illustrate the unevenness of Edeleth and Ferdibert at this point in the story. Then things turn to full bombast, albeit darker than in Wicked proper. Edelgard does the belting, Hubert’s sinister laughter reverberates below her (would it be too tasteless for him to be leering up her skirt the whole time?), Ferdinand has Glinda’s mournful “I hope you’re happy!” toward Hubert, and through this and the reprise of “No One Mourns the Wicked” the major events of the timeskip are enacted in pantomime or silhouette. Byleth tumbles off a cliff, Rhea is taken captive as is Dimitri but Dedue rushes after him, and Claude makes a tactical retreat. Side note: “And if I’m flying solo, / at least Im flying free” is classic Edelgard fixating on Byleth and forgetting that Hubert exists.
Act II
“Thank Goodness”
A surprisingly tough one here. The core of the song, pivoting around the double meaning of “I couldn’t be happier,” suits early Part 2 Ferdinand perfectly, second-guessing his choice and, outside of CF, melancholy about fighting his homeland. In terms of plot it’s an easy translation too, with the crowd announcing the terrible things the Empire has been doing to win its war - persecuting believers, abducting civilians and turning them into Demonic beasts, consorting with inhuman shadowy figures who can disguise themselves as ordinary people - and the assembly working as a way to bring together the leads of the three routes: Byleth, Dimitri (who had Dedue always at his side and thus never had a full psychotic break), Claude, and Seteth, with Ferdinand representing the Adrestian resistance. It’s only the wedding announcement that’s hard to pin down, and I toyed with a number of ideas including Dimidue making yet another public declaration of devotion to one another or Ferdinand planning to follow through with his arranged marriage to Bernadetta they have in their supports (which makes more sense in light of the following sequence). In the end though I don’t think the marriage element is strictly necessary, leaving the song as a means of catching up with the cast five years later and seeing them united against Edelgard - with Ferdinand’s private regrets the only sour note.
“Wicked Witch of the East”
More a dialogue than a song, but still important. Bernadetta is arguably the Eagle other than Hubert most comfortable supporting Edelgard, because all Edelgard has to do is put Count Varley under house arrest for Bernadetta to sing the emperor’s praises. I can also see her as the same sort of self-centered, negligent ruler that Nessarose becomes in Wicked, not because of an unrequited attraction but because of her reclusive desire to be left alone. I see this scene playing out as Hubert surprising Bernadetta at her estate, angry about rumors that she may be helping the rebels and/or engaged to Ferdinand if going with that plot point after Edelgard has done her the favor of locking up her father. He’s fully prepared to, ahem, “persuade” Bernadetta, but before he can break out the torture implements Ferdinand arrives asking for her to support the rebels’ cause.
Farcical, sure, but it gets the two of them together again after five years and underscores how strong their UST has become in their time apart, with Hubert too flabbergasted to attack a known enemy and Ferdinand expressing how happy he is to see Hubert again despite everything. Each learns that the other isn’t as happy about his chosen path as he’d hoped, in Hubert’s case because his lady has grown ever more distant from him as the war has dragged on. Bernadetta cuts through the tension by bringing things back to the song (sort of) and blurting out that she knows both sides are marshalling their forces near Gronder Field. Ferdinand is too caught up in the fraught romance angle to do more than leave with this new information, but Hubert recovers enough to condemn Bernadetta for her flagrant misrule (venting by inference his frustrations toward Edelgard in the process) and resolve to set her on fire for her treachery.
“I’m Not That Girl (Reprise)”
The Gronder rematch happened offscreen - and Bernadetta was indeed set on fire - and on the Imperial side Edelgard is left increasingly frustrated over her losses and hurt that Byleth still refuses to listen to her and continues to fight her regime. You may notice that I’ve shuffled around the middle of Act II, necessary at this point in order to better line up with FE16’s story and Hubert and Edelgard’s separate narrative climaxes while also ensuring that those climaxes don’t overlap too much. This song is only a brief reprise, but it’s a significant one; Hubert finally realizes that Edelgard will never love him. It’s also kept gender-neutral, because Byleth.
“As Long as You’re Mine”
That segues naturally into this moment. Ferdinand sneaks into Enbarr using his unexpected stealth powers (I usually talk about Dedue having them, but Ferdinand shows he’s no slouch in his Mercedes supports) and encounters Hubert. Their UST boils over in a furor of awkward, impassioned sex and also this song. I like the idea of rewording some of Fiyero's lines to incorporate Hubert's acidic snark: “Maybe you’re brainless, / maybe you’re wise.” It’s all very desperate and sensual, ending with Ferdinand taking Elphaba’s line about feeling wicked for the first time - which will have a dark reverberation two songs from now.
“Wonderful”
Again, axe the vaudeville and it’s a solid Rhea song. There’s just the small problem of Rhea being captured at this point in the plot; I thought about moving this number toward the very end at first before reconsidering. While Hubert and Ferdinand are rolling in the sheets, a distraught Edelgard confronts Rhea in prison. Rhea responds to Edelgard’s frustrations with Byleth with her backstory in song, much more somber than the Wizard but, like him, still willing to rehabilitate her estranged listener. The bits of this song about the nature of history are especially relevant to what Edelgard falsely believes about the church and what she views as her own legacy, so I could see this as an interesting character study on what Edelgard actually wanted with her war apart from dragon genocide. There’s a lot that could be done here in the dialogue surrounding those revelations.
“No Good Deed”
However the interrogation of Rhea turns out, Edelgard takes a leaf out of SS Dimitri’s book and visits Byleth alone at the monastery, only to be as harshly rebuffed as is possible to be without the rebuffer speaking. Then comes this song, which was incidentally the one where I realized that Edelgard would need a major role in FE16-does-Wicked even with the Ferdibert focus. Hubert fully embraced his evil wickedness long ago and wouldn’t think twice about being wicked or being perceived as such, but Edelgard is a different matter. Here she breaks down, admitting that her good intentions were largely selfish and that she regrets that her war has cost her any relationship she could have had with Byleth (continuing the joke at his expense, Hubert goes unmentioned when Edelgard names the people she’s lost/failed). It ends with a foreshadowing of her Hegemon form, the sign that she’s abandoned all pretense of goodness and become truly wicked.
“March of the Witch Hunters”
Another ensemble/vignette piece, checking in with the various members of Byleth’s army as they prepare to storm Enbarr. Dimitri hopes for the chance to forgive his stepsister, Claude has big plans for the continent and wants to remove the threat Edelgard poses, Seteth is desperate to find Rhea, and Byleth…is there. As in many of the songs, the self-righteousness of the crowd here rings more sincere and less hypocritical than in Wicked given Three Houses has actual villains, but it still works.
“For Good”
The song that inspired this whole thing, now with many paragraphs of context to set it up instead of only some fluff based on the Ferdibert A+ support. Ferdinand sneaks into Enbarr (again) ahead of the battle, and their second love ballad is more somber as they resign themselves to their fates. As in the VA cover, Hubert refuses to ask forgiveness for anything and Ferdinand is fine with that.
“Finale”
Wicked reduces the final battle from The Wizard of Oz to silhouettes backed by sections of “No One Mourns the Wicked,” and that’s what comes here: Ferdinand and Hubert facing each other in battle, Edelgard becoming the Hegemon before being defeated and then dying as in AM’s final cutscene, and Dimitri taking the throne with Dedue at his side and proclaiming his intention to do all he can to restore both the Kingdom and Duscur - and that his first act as king is to announce that he and Dedue have decided to open their marriage up. This is met with much manly cheering and stripping and someone (Ashe?) saying incredulously that he didn’t even know they were married. End silhouettes.
The final scene with the Wizard and Morrible becomes Claude, Seteth, and Byleth rescuing Rhea. Rhea names Byleth her successor as leader of the church and says that she will go into quiet seclusion and do what she can to correct her mistakes. This all suits Claude just fine, who tells everyone that he’s off to take care of some other business and that Byleth will make a great archbishop - and also they can have the Alliance, no big deal. As with the King of Faerghus’s gay orgies, the King of Almyra’s grand ambitions are too large for this story to do more than allude to.
Next, Ferdibert does a version of the Elphaba/Fiyero scene, with Ferdinand revealing that he had Hubert spared on the condition that he help root out any remaining Agarthans and that he remain under house arrest at the Aegir estate. Ferdinand was also required to assume governance of the Empire, because Dimitri wasn’t getting that dumped on him as well. They can be together, but the general population can’t know that Hubert survived lest Ferdinand’s reputation and basic ethics be compromised…which in a darkly funny hypocritical twist then segues to Ferdinand pontificating before the crowd at the beginning of the show, reprising “For Good” with Hubert until they’re drowned out by “No One Mourns the Wicked.” Thus the story concludes on one of my favorite things about Ferdibert: perhaps even in this non-CF continuity Ferdinand wasn’t changed for the better by falling in love with the Most Wicked Man in Fódlan, but they’ve both been changed….

Hell Hath No Fury... (Felix Volturi x Reader One-Shot)
Summary: The one day he leaves her alone is the day that it all goes wrong. When his mate is taken away from him, those that took her would surely regret it in their final moments. He is coming for them all now.
Pairing: Felix x Human!Reader
Warnings: Death, some violence and angst. So much. I went there with this one yall and I'm sorry in advance for emotions.
The one day Felix left you alone was the day he'd regret the most in his entire existence. A fledging coven that had a bone to pick with the Volturi picked the day that he was sent to go out on a mission to try their hand at infiltrating Volterra. They failed, of course, scampering away with whatever remaining coven members they had.
But they had gotten to you - torn you to pieces, and Demetri had balked at the sight of your lifeless form when he located you.
It was too late to save you. And everyone was dreading Felix's return to Volterra.
When he did return, not even the masters had seen a vampire fly into such a rage that Felix did when the news was broken to him that the love of his life, the one he’d spend thousands of years waiting for, was callously and cruelly taken away from him in the worst way imaginable.
At first, silence. He'd fallen to his knees completely mute, his face hard and stoic. Aro laid a hand on Felix's shoulder, saying his condolences. Felix stayed like that for a long time, trying to take it in.
Never in his lifetime had he felt so much love for someone before he met you. Sure, he had friends within the Volturi - but nothing romantic. Nothing so special and intimate. And then he met you and his whole world had been flipped on its head as he fell deeper in love.
Recalling the day the two of you had officially agreed to give your relationship a go, it pained him to remember the surprised little gasp you made and the smile that quickly replaced the shock on your face as he snuck up behind you in your home. You had let him stay the night after staying up late talking.
"You know, you really need to make your footsteps louder for my poor human ears," you had chided him, resting a hand on his cheek.
He'd turned and pressed his lips against your palm. "Old habits, I'm afraid. I'm sorry for scaring you, cara mia."
Felix adored the way your heart skipped a beat whenever he called you by any kind of pet name. It didn't matter whether it was a sweet, loving name or something ridiculous he'd say on the spot to get your attention - usually a pet name you had called him previously.
Wrapping his strong arms around your frame, the two of you had enjoyed your quiet little moment in the middle of the living room. Felix had never felt so content in his long life, and by the soft little hum you'd let out when he had begun holding you he knew the feeling was mutual. You gave him a new sense of meaning to life other than simply being Felix, member of the Volturi and executioner.
And now, his world had been flipped once more, but in the worst way imaginable.
One thing was certain though; those responsible would pay dearly.
With Demetri's help, it didn't take long for him to find the bastard who killed you. Demetri was rather adamant that he joined Felix on his hunt for the killer, as he also considered you a dear friend and a bright light in Felix's light. It was highly unfair that it had been snuffed out so quickly.
Felix took a twisted joy in ending the life of your killer. The culprit's coven mates attempted to stop him but it proved futile. Glaring down the rogue vampire with black angry eyes, held down by Demetri, any shred of humanity or sense of morality left his mind.
"Any last words? Regrets you'd like to voice to my friend here?" Demetri growled, tightening his grip and twisting the body part he was holding onto of the culprit who let out a spiteful snarl.
Bright crimson bored into Felix's darkened eyes, and with a wicked, sickening grin at his soon-to-be killer, he hammered the final nail into his coffin. "She tasted amazing, by the way."
Vision going red with pure rage, with a feral snarl Felix swung and in one hit the vampire’s head spliced in half with the sickening crackle of stone-like flesh. The top half of the vampire’s head was gone, leaving only the jaw down.
Felix had experienced bloodlust before but never due to anger - always thirst. This time, he saw red. His mate’s smiling, happy face - your face - in his mind’s eye, fueling his drive for revenge. And then another memory.
“Promise me that even when you’re out there doing your Volturi business, you’ll try to do the right thing?” you had asked of him once, all curled up at his side in bed, contently snuggling as close as physically possible into his chest.
Stroking your hair, he’d whispered his reply softly. “It can be difficult with whatever my orders are at the time... some times the situation at hand doesn’t leave much room for mercy.”
You shimmied up so you were level with his face, staring into his gorgeous red eyes. “I know,” you replied sheepishly, “but even so, those particular situations aside, promise me that no matter what you’ll be a good man? That if you can, and if whoever is at your mercy deserves it you can have compassion? For me?”
Felix studied you at that moment; your concerned face, the little crease between your eyebrows as you gazed back at him with intensity. He knew your words were out of concern born from a conversation you once shared about how he executed a young newborn vampire who was afraid and had surrendered during a battle. He kissed you, lips lingering on yours. “If I can have as much compassion as you do, my dear, I’d be a saint. I’ll try for you.”
And he did try. He wanted to have more compassion after switching that part of him off for so many years. However, at this moment Felix had no room for compassion and he wasn’t done exacting his vengeance. He continued to tear your killer to pieces, grunts turning into full-blown snarling, fragments of vampire flesh and clothing flying as his inner beast came out. It quickly escalated into angry yelling.
“Felix that’s enough! They’re done for,” Demetri cried out, making a risky move and gripping Felix’s arms, holding him back.
Heaving heavily, Felix sharply turned to look at his friend, eyes watering with anger and grief.
“She wouldn’t want you to act this way,” Demetri continued, taking a gentler tone. “Think of her, Felix.”
And he did. He knew you wouldn’t want him to act this way - to be as violent as he was right now, practically radiating with fury. Minutes went by and the anger had begun to fade. Demetri released Felix from his grip, looking on with sorrow in his heart for his grieving friend as he began to crumple to his knees before him, finally succumbing to the heartache he’d been trying to drown out with his rage and unyielding thirst for revenge.
