meet the macduffs 🧙👪
this is one large family with another member on the way! to an outsider, this combined family of witches and humans may seem strange and full of chaos, but the macduffs are quick to pull together and support each other in a crisis (like that time faith's hamster died…). the parents, joanie and flint, do their best to manage such a large household, but will the addition of baby macduff be one macduff too many?

I can't remember the names of all the MacDuffs because there's heaps of them but I think that's Felicity, but she came out to give Adam, Lainey and Karl their candy.

I think Adam's over trick or treating.

The Van Gould family, originally form Moonlight Falls, managed to make their way into my game, along with a couple other MF families too. All de-supernaturalised, of course.
They live in a converted warehouse - the only family in Cladbridge cool enough to live in a place like this. Ayden Van Gould is a successful white-collar worker and well known in town. His two children are both very artistic, with Emelie being a budding sculptor and Tristan a musical genius. They are more mature than most of their peers and enjoy each other’s company very much.
You see Emelie asleep in her bed - she goes to entrepreneur school and gets to sleep an extra hour every morning.
In the other two pics you can see her chatting to Felicity MacDuff.

Maggots had spring break this week so I indulged in a rare Wednesday show. It’s been a while since I’ve had time to do my entire pre-show ritual, which takes as long as the show itself and has historically involved Jonathan Groff, Ashton Kutcher, Cornell West, Thomas Sanders, the girls playing the Hilton twins in the Side Show revival, and a rainstorm that required me to buy a new outfit.
Don’t know if I’m just older and less insane now or if the crowds are getting steadily more aggressive and clueless. Lately they’ve even been thronging stationary characters to the point where they’re invisible unless you’re in the initial vise circle.
One thing that’s certainly changed is my ability to climb the stairs. It’s now to the point where I reach the fifth floor panting and having to lean against a pillar, which is due to my decreased attendance and definitely not the 40+ pounds I’ve gained over the past 7 years. Lately I can’t do the show without my legs aching the day after.
I spent some time with Bald for the first time in a while because I was curious about Thryn Saxon, which, as I’ve said, is the coolest name I’ve ever heard. Jason Cianciulli was Macduff, and I’d never seen him before either. They’re great together.
Layne Willis was the Nurse. I’d never seen her before but she’s certainly something. I love the nurse’s choreography so much, and she reminds me a lot of Ryan in the way she’s physically fearless and ingenious with the set. During her operating theatre solo she gave the lamp a tremendous kick which sent it flying. She also used the chalk in a way that made me think the nurse is a lot witchier than I’ve always thought her to be. Go check her out!
I will never, ever be good at gauging when to go to the fifth floor to catch the sixth floor nurse.
One of the bottles up there is labeled “ipecac,” which sounds like something a sixth grader makes you spell to embarrass yourself. But I just googled it and it looks like it’s meant to induce vomiting after poisoning. Hmm.
I stayed up there for a while, in my special spot where I go to ask for things, and I also read some intake papers. This isn’t the first time I’ve encountered Felicity Walker but she seems to be the only one doing any actual work up there, including dealing with the guy who’s obsessed with showing dead birds to children.
I also flipped through the medical textbook and left it open to the page with the diagram of the female reproductive system for any poor unfortunate soul who might be in need of instruction.
New Duncan looks like Ben Kingsley and I don’t know what to do with that information, or why I feel the need to tell you that.
I’m always amazed by Stephanie Lane/Hecate’s ability to tip the shot back and spit the liquid back in one fluid motion.
A lot of the time I find myself wishing I could go back and put and muzzle and a leash on myself for most of my earlier visits.
Got some potentially wonderful news after the show, standing in the same spot I was when I found out I got into the MFA program. This conjured an incarnation of Drunk Kelly not seen in many months, she who bounces with glee and won’t shut up about how happy she is. I am engaging in some intense chicken counting, but hopefully all will be well as long as no one finds out I’m actually three toddlers standing on each other’s shoulders and wearing a trench coat.

Beatrice needs to deliver 20 crops of excellent quality or better to the diner, and thanks to her vigilance with the zombies the previous night, she many have enough to finish her opportunity.  Nope, she still needs four more.
Alex visits the MacDuff house to introduce himself to his future in-laws. He makes friends with her parents and chats a long time about the upcoming wedding.  However, Faith MacDuff dislikes Alex and thinks he's rude because he helped himself to dinner. He did hit in off with Felicity's parents and that's what's important.
The next day, Beatrice got her last four apples and is off to Sam's Diner to deliver her produce.   They pay her for her produce and tell her to come back when she is level 9 in gardening.  Soon after she gets home, she changes Malcolm into a toad.
While talking about magic, Belladonna learned fire blast and ice blast, putting her ahead of her brother.  Not that she is keeping score. Her brother could have used ice blast to put his butt out when Hetal zapped him.  Belladonna does understand why she did that.  Hetal and Alex don't even know each.
Alex is more focused on painting than magic and is now level 7 and can paint portraits.  To improve his art, Alex just became extra creative. He put his latest painting on display in the dining room with everyone can see his genius.  He wonders if his father will let him paint in as a toad.  He can't ask him now because his father is running up the door to get the carpool for work.

Hot New Releases! ~ Mar 10

Through The Glass by Lisa J. Hobman
You meet someone, fall in love, and live happily ever after…right? That’s what Scotsman Jim MacDuff thought, but after years of being blissfully happy in London, everything he holds dear comes crashing, spectacularly down.
Hampshire born Felicity “Flick” Johnston-Hart is passionate about painting what she sees through the glass and she adores her first love, Jim, more than life. But her mother’s high hopes for her only daughter eventually corrode Flicks happiness, making her believe that painting and Jim are simply not enough. Just like the subjects of her paintings, she begins to experience her life as an observer instead of really living. And she realises that some decisions—even though they may be wrong—once made cannot be undone.
After settling back into life as a single man in a beautiful Highland village, Jim is graced with an unexpected and unwanted visitor bringing painful news. A letter from beyond the grave leads him to do something he never imagined and takes him on a journey he didn’t anticipate.
Can he heal the pieces of his heart and move on? Or is it true that a broken heart can never be a blank canvas?

Faith: Mom... I’m not sure that our family can handle another baby...
Joanie: Why honey? I’m sure we can take it!
Tumblr media
Faith: Well, for starters there are too many of us. I mean- look at our family photos... Thats not even including Aunt Jamie, Grandma, Grandpa, or Papa!
Joanie nods
Faith: Also all of our dynamics with each other are horrible! Jules hates Joe! Felicity loves Jules but also hates Joe. And I’ll be damned if Joe hates any of them! To add to all of this Bulls- *Ahem* blasphemy! EVERY SINGLE DAMN PERSON IN THIS HOUSE HATES ME! Also, Dad can’t even bear to look at anyone other than Joe. The “golden child” of this hot mess!
Joanie Blinks, realizing many of the issues, and starts to speak, but the camera pans away to Felicity.
Tumblr media
Felicity: I’m the baby in this house and that will never change!
Felicity proceeds to obliterate the rocking horse in James/Fleur’s room
Felicity: I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU!
Camera then pans to Jules
Tumblr media
Jules: *Sigh* Sometimes I wish I were loved as much as Joe... Maybe I can make this baby amazing with my spells! They might love me then!
as one might see, the dysfunction in the Macduff family is far from over... Only I- Holly, Can fix it... Tune in next time to see Baby James!

So Roux, so elated from hearing that they’re compatible signs, tries to go in for the kiss! Which Felicity turns down, several times, with some... intriguing expressions. Something is DEFINITELY afoot. Why did she suddenly stop responding to his flirts as soon as Aileen was in bed?
