holy fuck how am i somehow always so late to finding out about new lore and projects and stuff… TALESGAMES IS CANON?? fr?? fuuuuuuckkkk matpat must be glad he retired. like i love TFTP and all the stories but i can’t deny the two canons being the same is bonkers, but i understand it was also the only way to connect Mimic, Tiger Rock, and the Storyteller short stories to the games when they introduced the mimic in ruin. also it means GGY is canon which is admittedly fucking awesome. but also it means the weird fucking cancer babies and the climbing tubes and monty literally possessing some guy and the completely different layout of the pizzaplex (the rollercoaster?? the theatre??) exist too, right? or did someone confirm only certain things are one continuity? i’m dumb as fuck but this is crazy for the timeline if i understand it right (don’t even talk to me about dittophobia im still trying to wrap my head around dittophobia)

One thing I got thinking about with the Mimic, and the crying child is well.

If the crying child IS called Dave (short for David, likely) in universe. It gives the Mimic motivation for deciding to cosplay Afton for a bit.

Like yeah it gets a good excuse to go ham and murder people. But it also gives him an excuse to try again with David. To not just be Davids friend, but Davids dad. By replacing William, he also gets to replace Edwin.

To get vengence on the man who let his best friend die senselessly, through neglect. And who tore into it, and blamed it for something it could not help.

To show him up- I can raise another boy named David. And I can do it better than you could.

Its two boys, one dad essentially.

At least. If the Mimic was capable of NOT mimicking the two shitty dads it knows of, and didn't immediately alienate 'David' away from itself, to the point it needed to possess him just so the boy wouldn't immediately flee back to his parents.

In the end, it can't help but continue the cycle that Edwin taught it. It never learnt any better.

And the tragic irony? Its not that the boy was incapable of forming attachments with a robot. Because Gregory grows to love Freddy- a robot who is capable of being a positive figure in his life.

If the Mimic hadn't been beholden to its own programming, it could have made another friend. That friend wouldn't have been David- either Afton or Murray. But it would've been Gregory.

And that would've been just as good.

They should introduce it to the games years ago, like, since Help Wanted but nooooo, let’s make all the fandom believe that fucking Afton came back to live AGAIN

And I not saying I don’t love the books, I love them, but for the moment I haven’t had the properly time to listening (because there is a guy who resume the stories and yeah I feel the chills listening the ending of somniphobia) and this is not the first in the fnaf franchise they introduced something from the books first, we have the Charlie trilogy, some elements appear on the games years later

But oh Steel Wood, what take you so long to finally introduce the Mimic in the games

Mimic!Bonnie AU (AKA Security Breach Risen?)

OKAY so it's about time I stop just posting Bimic art and should post the actual. story. since there's much more involved than just Bimic.

So the whole AU is set post-Ruin and involves me having only like. pieces of information from the books. I've never read the books. I intend to keep it that way unless situations arise.

First piece of info is that Gregory did not cause the elevator fall! That was Mimic! Specifically, the duo of Mimic the animatronic and Mimic1 the mimic code. Mimic1 in this au is able to get into other electronics and use the information it's gathered to trick people that way. It also gives this information to/is inside Mimic, letting Mimic copy them physically.

Cassie is picked up by Roxy in this au and are trying to escape. Gregory and Freddy, however, are trying to get back down there. After some arguing and explanations, its decided that it doesnt really matter what the truth is right now, they just need to work/stick together. Mimic can only physically mimic one person at a time right now, so it's best to just stay with each other and try and stop it.

Gregory is trying to get back down there because he's made a device that can transfer any coded personality on a computer onto any endoskeleton and vice versa (because if we're gonna make him a cool hacker guy at least let him do cool things as opposed to. hacking an elevator speaker). He wants to use this device on M.X.E.S., because Mimic/Mimic1 is now both a physical and digital threat, so having M.X.E.S. be both physical and digital would be ideal.

Meanwhile, as well as when they get up there, Mimic duo have been getting to work finding Monty and Chica. Mimic has been taking their casings and pieces of endoskeleton and putting them on while Mimic1 has been going into their code and learning how they behaved and what memories they had, using these to attack/chase the gang when they get to the pizzaplex proper.

Being tormented by the Mimic wearing the animatronics/their dead friends everywhere they went, they then have to decide what to do. Freddy suggests they go to a place where theres no animatronics for them to mimic, which leads them to Bonnie Bowl. However, Mimic puts on Bonnie's casings while Mimic1 gets all the information. This information, however, is muddied from what Bonnie used to be. Bonnie, as indicated by the lights in his eyes, was powered on the whole time he was decommissioned, abandoned and alone. This has made Mimic1 not only pick up Bonnie's intended personality, but a sense of upset, abandonment, sadness, loneliness, etc. Which. Works great to terrorize Roxy and especially Freddy further.

At some point they might also pick up Eclipse to save him from being Mimic'd. They decide to stay away from the DJMM because Mimic getting into him would be disastrous, as well as of all the animatronics, DJMM is the most capable of getting out of the ruins if he so wished. They also feel this way about Blob, but theres. much less that can be done about that.

it's so funny how many therapists i went to when i was a kid when where i needed to be!! was in a sleep clinic!! because ofc i was mentally ill, 3/4ths of my life was spent in severe sleep deprivation! but insurance didn't pay for a sleep clinic, it paid for therapy. so. super cool that i wasted all that time i guess. 😑
