(To no one's surprise) I'm overly obsessed with the artistic direction of this MV. As one comment says: it's a wild snapshot of the mid 00's. Nonetheless, I've always been obsessed with pretty much everything conforming the video, from the music, the band and the aesthetics for that matter, so nothing new here.

But, again, I'll never stop exalting media where I feel the "edge factor" makes an impact and also because that same element takes me back (ironically) to my happy place.

Lately I've been reflecting a lot on why I'm so eager to feel this nostalgia at every given opportunity that I can only get with 2000's media and, after a long talk and 3 hours of tears with my beloved S.O. @catharticmethodology, we've concluded that it has to do with unresolved "stuff" from my childhood.

T.M.I. maybe, but what I'm trying to say is, I'll always be amazed by how random and deep the connection we make with music can be. We all hear and love the same stuff but the circumstances that lead us to get attached to it and the feelings we get in consequence will never be the exact same.

There you go, the unsolicited, random and well known reflection of the night and the reason why I feel such a deep connection with Porcupine Tree's music. You're welcome.

Well, I'm in Phoenix, not Springfield, OH.

Also, being jewish, "blood libel" is pretty familiar to me. Basically, when one minority is attacked, in the US, we all are...and it still seems like there are WAY too many people who don't realize how that works.

I'm aware that there are a lot of sad, angry, and stupid white people in America—and I'm usually very nice to them—but there really shouldn't be enough of them to destroy our collective future, the planet, and all common sense.

When the Republican Governor of any state is begging his own Senator to STFU, this is that "inflection point" folks keep talking about. What they really mean is, "OMFG, stop it. Are you insane?"

En outre, étant juif, le terme «diffamation rituelle» m’est assez familier. En gros, lorsqu’une minorité est attaquée, aux États-Unis, nous le sommes tous…et il semble qu’il y ait encore BEAUCOUP trop de gens qui ne comprennent pas comment cela fonctionne.

Je suis conscient qu’il y a beaucoup de blancs tristes, en colère et stupides en Amérique—et je suis généralement très gentil avec eux—mais il ne devrait vraiment pas y en avoir assez pour détruire notre avenir collectif, la planète, et tout bon sens. 🙄

Quand le Gouverneur Républicain d'un État supplie son propre Sénateur de se taire, c'est ce «point d'inflexion» dont les gens parlent sans cesse. Ce qu'ils veulent vraiment dire, c'est: «OMD, arrêtez. Vous êtes fou?»
