WIP Saturday

Ravio is determined to make use of every second Legend is home.

AKA an excuse for me to write domestic queerplatonic Ravioli fluff.

So focused as he was on the chore, Legend didn’t realise Ravio was humming until Ravio began to sway, bumping hips with him. Used to his partner’s antics and more confident now that they were alone, Legend laughed, returning the hip bump as they always used to, before Legend was dragged from home yet again.

Ravio laughed, high and light, continuing to hum, terribly off-key. Ravio couldn’t hold a tune to save his life, and Legend hadn’t a clue what his partner was trying to hum, winced as he weaved between high and low notes like it was nobody’s business. Ravio’s singing was awful.

Legend loved it.

“What are you even humming?” Legend asked as he passed the final plate to Ravio, beginning the tough work of the pots and pans.

Ravio took the plate, still swaying and bouncing to the song only he could hear. “Not a soul out there,” he sang, so poorly Legend couldn’t help the delighted laugh that escaped him. “No one to hear my prayer.” Legend laughed harder upon realising just what song Ravio had stuck in his head. Where had he even heard it recently?

“Your singing is terrible,” he said fondly.

“You love it.” Ravio smiled, eyes crinkling.

Legend smiled back. “I do.”

Ravio brightened, and he set the plate down to dry on the rack. “Come on!” And he took Legend’s hands, still wet and soapy, pushing them back and forth to the tune in his head.

Legend rolled his eyes, but acquiesced, entwining his fingers with Ravio’s and joining in. Ravio continued his terribly off-key singing, and Legend offered his on-key humming in turn as they danced around the tiny kitchen, back and forth, eyes bright with joy. Ravio was more than content to lead the dance, complete with random slides and sudden spins that left Legend dizzy and laughing. He pulled Legend closer, set a hand over his waist, pushing their entwined hands out into a more traditional dance. Legend set his hand over Ravio’s shoulder, smiled when his partner gazed fondly at him.

“I missed you,” Ravio said, voice soft in the kitchen as they swayed in circles, stepping back and forth together as they had done so many times before.

Legend leaned forward to rest his forehead against Ravio’s. “I missed you too.”

Hey guys

Sorry my job has gone crazy bananas this week, so I won’t have the writing time I hoped I would. I’m working evening and weekends to deliver on a big project. I was planning to write for Anthony but I’ve had to put that aside.

Next week I fly abroad for Christmas and don’t expect to have writing time as I’ll be with family and friends. Sorry.

I have one Christmas threesome queued for Dec 20th. So at least there’s that 🫶

Thank you so much for the ask, I've been meaning to hop back into my writing (I've been so busy with school lately ugh) and this ask made me go back to my docs and get back into it again! I've been working on my modern fantasy WIP for a while now but I'm so excited to share it with everyone on here. It's going to be a series set in an entirely made up world with lots of adventure, action, romance, mages, magic & technology, magic systems, corrupt governments, exploration of human nature, and a lot of dark (and fluffy) themes. Hurt/Comfort lovers, I welcome you to check out this series because I had that specific trope in mind when creating this series and its characters.

I'm having a lot of fun designing the world and all the different countries, cultures, landscapes, and lots of other interesting details. I feel like there's not a lot of secondary world modern fantasy novels out there (when it's a completely made up universe it's usually fantasy set in the past or the future), so it will appeal to people who are looking for that. It's inspired by Greek/Roman mythology, astrology, astrological signs, tarot cards, the zodiac, and mythology in general. Here is a list of tropes & themes that are going to be present:

More Pink Bunny AU

It’s finally bath time for Bunny!!

@thatonecrazysidekick and @tiredgaytheatrekid Bunny is finally clean and floofy!! (And smelling very nice!)

Holding Bunny under one arm, Hyrule slathered soap over his hands, then passed the bar back to Wild. Then, he began to scrub at Bunny’s fur. To his credit, the rabbit remained mostly still over his arm, his hind legs occasionally kicking in the water. The soap suds quickly turned brown with mud, and once every inch of Bunny was brown and sudsy and smelling of lavender and swamp, he dipped the rabbit in the water again, washing away the suds. He ran his fingers through Bunny’s fur, easing out clumps of mud and blood, watching as they trailed downstream.

Hyrule frowned as he worked, clearing the soap from Bunny’s head. He applied another layer of soap to the cleaner fur, taking care to scrub right down to the skin, to gently massage it into his ears, but the second wash did nothing to clear the colour.

Bunny’s fur was bright pink.

“I’ve never seen a rabbit with pink fur,” Wild commented, reaching out to pet Bunny’s head, flinching back when Bunny snapped at him. “No touching, got it!”

“We thought all this was blood, buddy,” Hyrule commented, scratching lightly at Bunny’s head, smiling when he leaned into the touch. Bunny let him pet him, and Hyrule felt special for it. “I’m glad it isn’t. You’ve a lovely coat on you.”

Bunny lifted his head and preened at the compliment, to Hyrule’s amusement.

With Bunny clean and beginning to shiver, Hyrule was quick to call Twilight over to the nearest rock and pass the rabbit off to the only other Link he was comfortable with. Twilight was ready with a little fluffy towel and scooped Bunny up into it. As Twilight began to dry Bunny, scrubbing away at clean damp fur, Hyrule rested his arms over the sun-warmed stone, setting his head over them and watching contentedly.

“Pink’s an interestin’ colour,” Twilight commented as he ran the corner of the towel over the space between Bunny’s ears. “I was worried his fur was stained with…”

“Me too,” Hyrule said. “I’ve never seen a rabbit with pink fur.”

“Could be an era-specific thing,” Twilight said with a shrug. “I’ve learnt not to question it.”

Hyrule chuckled, watching fondly as Twilight began to carefully dry Bunny’s ears, one at a time, pressing the towel over them. Bunny’s eyes began to droop, exhausted and relaxed. Twilight finished up with one last run of the towel over Bunny’s back. As he removed the towel, Hyrule couldn’t help the snicker that escaped him when he saw Bunny’s fur. With Twilight’s firm drying, his fur had fluffed up so he looked twice his usual size.

“Awww,” he couldn’t help but comment. “Bunny, you’re all floofy.” He reached out for the rabbit, but Twilight slapped his hand away.

“Absolutely not. Yer all wet and dirty still. Now finish up with yer own bath—ya reek.”

Hyrule stuck his tongue out at Twilight, but acquiesced, sinking back into the cool water. He watched fondly as Twilight scooped Bunny up into his arms, Bunny easily settling his head over Twilight’s shoulders, his front paws beneath his chin. He watched Bunny’s cute little face as it drifted away from him, back over to the fire. And then Wild pounced on him, dragging him underwater and tearing him out of his fond reverie.

“Champion!”

What to expect from this blog

I am not going to write angst or traditional romance stories. Please don’t come to my blog wanting or expecting rewrites of romance books. That is not my style or my wheelhouse. If you want that type of writing, please look elsewhere or, even better, have a go yourself!

What to do if you don’t like my content

If you do not like my content, that’s okay! I know it’s not for everyone. I only ask you don’t reach out to me personally and give me shit about it. Please do unfollow me and/or you can even block this blog so it doesn’t appear in the various Bridgerton tags for you. I will be none the wiser and you will enjoy your fandom experience without me in it.

I also know fandom is transient. Perhaps you once enjoyed Bridgerton, but no longer do. If you signed up to my taglist but no longer wish to be notified about my fics, that’s also understandable. Just send me a private message asking to remove you from my list and I will happily do so. 🫶

Asks/Feedback

My ask-box is still open for feedback, q&a and chat. I will leave anon asks on for now, but please note I reserve the right to change that if I get messages that are rude or abusive.

Fic requests

As it currently stands, I will no longer be accepting fic requests unless they are from trusted mutuals. I will not be reopening to requests publicly. The experience I had yesterday has completely soured me to writing fic for just anyone who asks for it. I don’t need that sort of rudeness and entitlement in my life. I’m sorry if this is disappointing to a few people.

I’m done trying to please people and spending hours pouring effort into fics to either never hear from the original requester (this is 99% of the time with anons) or to get negativity and rudeness that my hard work isn’t what they wanted.

Fic taglist

I’m going to keep my taglist running for now. It does take a long time to tag everyone, so I do periodically check if everyone on it still follows this blog. If they don’t I remove them.

I’m also going to change my approach so the taglist is not on the original post. Updates to tumblr setup means I have to switch between desktop and mobile for tagging to ‘stick’. From now on, all tagging will either all be on a reblog or in the notes field (tbc on that).

Upcoming holiday fics

As of today, I am shelving my plan to write a Bridgerton-verse version of While You Were Sleeping for the holidays. I have lost the motivation to devote the time. It would have been a considerable undertaking. Instead, I will spend that time with my loved ones.

I have one Christmas modern AU smut threesome already written. I may write one or two more short fics, but no guarantees.

I’m sad to I’ve had to write some of this, but I hope you can understand why.
