I just wanna draw gijinkas #senjart #sorry for not answering the asks guys. I got admitted into a hospital since tuesday and just got released yesterday (laugh track)#anyways about the show. theodore tugboat am I right #like I've said before it doesn't hit me as hard as thomas or TUGS #like it's not as character heavy as ttte #or as worldbuilding heavy as TUGS #but it's like.... a really fun relaxing show. super good even #I'd usually roll my eyes at overly nice protagonists but theodore is an exception. he is my friend. my pal #maybe it's just my affinity for shows with talking vehicles but erm.... robert cardonna you've done it again #the show doesn't have big explosions or bombastic events unfolding #the episodes have this very quiet and soft narration by danny doherty. no loud sounds or weird wacky silly sound effects in a bwba fashion #also everyone is nice to each other in this show which surprised me lol #because I've grown accustomed to the british-style verbal battles between sudrian engines #and the typical blink-and-you-miss-it dark comedy quips from top hat and zorran #theodore tugboat: what a peaceful day at halifax :) we talked about our problems properly and learned more about the world #TUGS: what a peaceful day at vaguely san francisco :) only 2 trampers died instead of the usual 5 #I recommend it if you want a show that's easy to digest and easy on the eyes/brain #some episodes have characters that should've been switched to make it make sense #like harbour fools or even bumper buddies #I eventually got used to it #and there's not much worldbuilding going on. not my hugest complaint since it's still a cute show #there are also a few inconsistencies here and there... not to mention the episode order that kind of confused me #the side characters haven't grown much on me but I guess it just doesn't hit me YET #it's still good. I'll give it an 8/10

I think one of the things I love the most about Haikyuu is that even though the whole manga comes from a place of love from Furudate who created the story specifically to get people into volleyball, there is nothing to make you feel bad about not wanting to play anymore

There are characters who are completely obsessed with volleyball. There are characters who aren't obsessed but are interested enough to keep going. There are characters who weren't into it but did it anyway and then just couldn't stop. There are characters who started doing volleyball and then realized they didn't like it anymore, then left and were better for it. There are characters who are like "this was cool and it was nice but I don't want to do this forever". There are characters who never play but still support the teams anyway

And the story validates every single one of these experiences. There's no "this experience is better than that experience", there are just characters who like it, don't like it, are obsessed with it or can appreciate everything that happens in a game regardless of their feelings towards it

It's just really nice to go through the story and feel the whole acceptance through the writing itself, to see that Furudate is encouraging you to try volleyball, to experience how fun it can be, and if it's not fun for you or you fell out of love with it or just don't want to do it anymore, then that's fine! At least you experienced it! At least you tried! At least you learned something about yourself! And hopefully you made friends along the way!

Haikyuu inspires people to try something new but never does it show a characters negative feelings or lack of feelings towards it as invalid and wrong. It just encourages you to do what makes you happy. I really appreciate that

#there's obviously more characters who have other experiences too that i missed #but still i think i made my point #i need to rewatch and reread this series #spoilers in the tags from this point on ----->#i think this ESPECIALLY hits home after the timeskip #learning what every character was doing in the future #how there definitely were those who went into volleyball as a career #but there were others who did something else like being a veterinarian or a singer or a fashion designer #the way there were characters who were so good at playing volleyball but it just wasn't what they wanted to do all their life #like nishinoya and tendou #ALSO #when udai was revealed #and he was literally just. some guy #hinata and others idolized him and he was just a guy who didn't wanna play volleyball #and the most important thing is it wasn't a big deal that he wasn't a little giant anymore #hinata moved on quickly and that was a good thing for him and his development into finding who he wanted to be #it really does show that udai's decision was valid. he inspired people with how great he was but he just didn't wanna do it anymore #AND AND he probably STILL ends up inspiring kids anyway because he became a mangaka who created a manga about volleyball!!#the cycle is complete!!#the emphasis on doing what you want because its fun and makes you happy is just!! very important i think!!#haikyuu!!#haikyuu!! manga spoilers #haikyuu!! spoilers #mettys posts #metty posts

ive been switching lanes waaay too fast this week. Anyway having some mini identity crisises over how little i actually understood about nuclear fusion

#me #a shitpost can be blue #physics #i guess #tis about how i knew so little about quarks #like okay i know their names i like knew they had like charges that were colours #thatw e call colours. but id uh missed the part where that leads tp actually looking how they interact and also waves #this came from me helping my best friends little syster #with a presentation on nuclear energy #and so i was just like huh i know it works like that but like why exactly does that give off energy as a byproduct?#and then i. and then i had to sit there like. ah #its been so long since ive actually looked at physics #like interesting physics not explaining basic concepts to a kid for school #cuz i have. highschool physics at best at this point and #uh my grandfather was a phycisist and he was writhing a book on some theories when i was 2 to 3ish #and he was babysitting me and we stayed close till my early teen years #so ive actually always known just tht bit much more about particles specifically then my peers #idk its always been interesting to me #but now im coming over here like oh ive lost the #constant building of knowedge over the years that id gotten used to #because like we would cover some material in school i kinda new #id get curious and look a bunch of atuff up #but ive actively been forgetting physics for a few years now and it idk it hit #im just not keeping up with my sciences #which is a terrible blow to my little curious ass #like ive been keeping up with literary education and fashion history and phylosophy #but ive been missing the biology and physics and chemistry actually #but i dont tend to hyperfocus on theese topics so im jot sure how to keep at it #cuz i like learning stuff like that and sometimes ill go on binges of learning about curves #but idk ive been missing my dose of i guess the harder sciences part of it

Royal watchers who are more into the fashion aspects of royalty, really are the most by-the-books people who apply such conformist attitudes to fashion, which is harmful to the art as a whole. I assume this is because royals have a pretty strict dress code where, again, being "appropriate" is what's valued most.

As a result, royal watchers will see the outfit on the right and call it ugly, incoherent, and tacky, but then see the outfit on the left and say that it won Met Gala and that it's stunning. One is actually an innovative outfit that's styled well, has character, and suits the tastes of the wearer. The other is a beautiful dress turned bare minimum by mediocre styling. One appeals to royal watchers simply because it is conventional, not because it is a better piece of fashion, but royal watchers will act as if that's not the case.

how to make business plans: spend 2 weeks looking for a website to make a visual plan guide that you can collaborate with business partners, but you end up nowhere because all of them require paid subscriptions to do more than a few basic things. except you don't want to pay for these because you don't have a business yet and therefore no money!!!! but you need more than basic features (basically you can only put 50-100 items on your board with free account and i will definitely need more)

#WHY DOES EVERYTHING ON THE INTERNET HAVE TO BE SUBSCRIPTION NOW #i miss the days where you could use a website and all the features for FREE.#or at best only have one-time fee or subs for advanced stuff only profitable big businesses need and can also afford #the average person is starting to get locked out of the internet. we already pay for the internet itself. everything is too expensive #i need to make my own business so i can afford to live but everything to mae a business costs too much!!!!!!!#im too autistic for this shit. “this shit” being “a profitable member of society”#i cant get a big cool job to make a ton of money and then afford to easily become a millionaire #i bet most millionaires and all billionairs didnt work a day in their life to afford to start their businesses #and if they say they did they lie #lee rambles #i found a free unlimited one but you have to download the program and save everything locally #so it doesn't look like you cam collab with other people which defeats the purpose of what im trying to do 😭#i wanted to use milanote or whatever its called because i liked how you can link separate pages to keep things clear/uncluttered #but i dont want to pay $12 a month i think it was? to put more than 100 items on the boards. that goes so fast #but i might have to use it and just cram things together in a messy fashion to not hit that limit......#you can double the amount by referring people to make an account but still. i hate bekng limited #and being forced to pay to not have limits!!!! let me be free and only pay for advanced stuff i can live without for fuck sake #i dont know what im doing. but im making an attempt to business or something
