Genuinely I do not think Falin would have a drivers license nor should he under any circumstances by allowed to operate a vehicle. Obsessed with the idea neither danko or Fal drive they either take the train or force a friend to drive them places, though danko probably has a licenses he just maybe wouldn’t drive often that or he just straight up doesn’t have a car.

Took me far too long to finish I piece Id been working on because I kept drawing Falin in the corners. His design is very doodleable.

Oh boy!! It’s yapping time!! Gonna use this mostly for my favorite sillies!! This is probably gonna take an hour to write because I ramble so much!! Thank you so much for sending in an ask!! Know I say it all the time but genuinely really appreciate it!! It means alot!! :D :D

10: Describe their first date.

Genuinely don’t think they had a proper first date tbh not in the sense it’s explicitly stated as a date if that makes sense?? Like there’s no fancy restaurant date no going out for drinks or what not. They met as fairly broke uni students both very passionate about their studies so their first date would have been sitting in danko’s dorm reading textbooks for either separate or shared classes, occasionally quizzing eachother on the information they just read and also every few minutes the other going to grab coffee and they just accidentally made a second cup that matches the others specific coffee preferences. They’d only consider it a first date because Falin ended up staying the night though Daniil stresses himself out believing he’s misread the signs and ends up sleeping on the floor….falin was very confused by that but just figured maybe he enjoyed sleeping on floors (he spends two years of their relationship believing this information.)

22: What reminds each of their partner?

Falin: snakes (no shock) death, the colors red and black, the smell of hospital antiseptic and fancy cologne (the scent being of bergamot and orange) a scent most would find nauseating but Falin regards it with the feeling of safety….a scent that smells like home one that promises he’ll always be loved and protected until he may take that final breath.

Daniil: cats more specifically ragdoll cats, ribbons, the colors lavender and gold, the taste of coffee and cigarettes have became permanently cemented to his mind with Falin sure he smokes he drinks coffee yet the only thing the taste reminds him of are soft cracked lips that brush against his own so tenderly, the ones that gently touch his cheek every morning it’s funny how one person can change your view on something permanently isn’t it?? He never believed in mystics but it feels as it the right and left hand clasped together when they met

27: Who is the light weight that needs to be taken care of after a party?

BOTH OF THEM!! They are both light weights if you want to join the Dankovsky family you immediately lose any alcohol tolerance and if you are a Dankovsky by blood your alcohol tolerance never existed!! Falin is out after two drinks!! He’s stumbling around has the worlds worst headache meanwhile Daniil can handle his liquor just a little bit better he’s probably out after four drinks or so. he will get giggly and clingy after a couple drinks! He will be wrapped around whoever’s closet to him like a god damn python constructing its prey!! Better hope that the person In question doesn’t have any plans! Because they aren’t getting up until he does. They just end up on the couch tangled up together do not bother them….one of them happens to be a rather grumpy drunk and will not take kindly to anyone interrupting cuddle time!!



31: Can they sit side by side without touching the other or are they handsy? (lacing fingers, touching knees, etc.)

No!! They are like otters!! They must hold hands!! They must what if the other floats away!! Okay I’ll answer the question seriously below lol

It’s probably fairly obvious but Falin has ocd!! And alot of his compulsions involve his hands (picking/tearing at his lips and having to click any kinda lock in twice or four times.) so he needs his hands to be occupied and Daniil is rather happy to assist with that!! He needs his hands occupied at all times as well (his however more linked to autism then Falin’s reasoning.) it’s usually by carrying his bag or fidgeting with a pen however reaching for Falin’s hand/s works just as well no?? It becomes a subconscious habit after a certain amount of time to the point it distresses either to lack that sense of contact.

57: Whose the serious one when grocery shopping and who likes to toss random things in the cart?

Daniil makes an entire shopping list it’s organized the most important items bullpointed and under lined twice to emphasize their importance!! However it does not matter how many times he tries to anticipate the things Falin will wish to get he will always miss something as his beloved spouse is a more visual shopper, he needs to be in person to understand what he desires so once he gets to the store suddenly he’s throwing everything he recalls liking into the cart!! Sure he may be the bread winner but does he believe they’re made of money!! No no!! Put back those cookies they have a set in the cart already!! If you think the bill for thanatica’s expenses must be high then you’d have a heart attack seeing the Dankosvky’s Grocery bill….it’s well….they need to hire a budgeter that’s for sure!! They also probably go home with some sort of Seal related item please help Daniil half their bed is seal plushies he feels like he’s at sea

I let out a squeak upon seeing this ask (excited to talk about the sillies.) that being said some of these answers will probably be lengthy sorry :P

2: What would they do if the other woke in a manic state after a nightmare?

Falin refuses any type of comfort or help, it’s a result of being brought up as a future inquisitor help makes you immature and lesser you have to act accordingly to the role you’re supposed to grow into (think telling a child to ‘act their age’) so if he wakes up panicked from a nightmare. There’s not much Daniil can do to comfort him directly as he will shut down and get more distressed at the idea of being ‘weak’ there’s also the whole martyr syndrome he has going on where he believes he’s only here to comfort other we’re not getting into it

So he needs to use a distraction instead of comfort, something as minimal as “could you tell me about those seals?? Harbor seals they were called?? No I was truly fascinated by them last time you mentioned them.” Or asking if he’d like some coffee no no it really isn’t that much of a trouble they’re both up now!! Why not just have some caffeine and sit in the lounge for awhile hmmm??

As for Daniil, again he’d be rather difficult to calm down after any kind of nightmare/ night terror, he gets utterly hysterical (which understandable) he will start tearing into things (most the bedding and his own clothes), he’s not stopping to listen to any sense of comfort or logic (again understandable.) he benefits far more from going outside and getting fresh air as a grounding technique. So Falin and him usually go around the capital streets for thirty minutes passing a cigarette back and forth until he’s calm enough to go back to the apartment. He will however downplay it all afterwards sure he’s open emotional to an extent but he does still feel shameful for those outbursts.

3: Do they wear the other’s clothes? (sweatshirt, bandana, necklace, etc.)

I’ve thought about this before and It depends on the situation, if it’s cold outside and he’s not wearing his jacket Daniil will give Falin that damned snakeskin coat (that Falin swears he detests yet he looks just like a peacock flaunting its feathers whenever he wears it.) he probably also occasionally wears Daniil’s dress shirts to sleep Everynow and then. Unfortunately Daniil can’t borrow any of Fal’s clothes as his clothes are far too tight around Daniil’s chest. He could however wear Falin’s ribbon!! And Fal could wear the womb brooch they could swap those pretty easily I suppose

8: What happens if one of them gets sick?

They both get sick but this also depends on if it’s pre-sand pest or post sand pest as if it’s post well you know the paranoia that’d occur (especially since Falin has an ambiguous link to the pest afterall Clara is his sister and that means he very much could have a similar connection that she has. Do with that what you shall.) also if you consider Daniil surviving marbles nest that’d also effect their relationship with the other being sick.

However pre canon again Falin refuses help and also he feels guilty for not being around to help his clients so Daniil has to force him to stay in bed unfortunately this means he also ends up getting sick as a result. Daniil would believe that he has to suck it up because there’s more important things to do so once more we repeat the cycle of forcing your other half to stay in bed and getting sick yourself. They are both hot fucking messes.

51: What’s a non verbal way they say I love you?

They both show affection the same way cats do I imagine however Falin (who’s symbolic animal is quite literally a ragdoll) is far worse in this feline manner of expressing the desire for affection, he will headbutt the poor bachelor in order to get attention.

on the other hand Daniil would probably show his love without words by keeping a close track of things that set Fal off (I.e don’t touch him while wearing outside clothes or offering to check the mail for him if the times uneven therefore any consequences Falin believes will occur will fall on Daniil rather then himself.) also I think both of them would show it by physical touch (hand holding or quick hugs)

Faniil beach day I think that’d be a silly idea. Falin would absolutely adore swimming so he’d have a field day. He’d also wear one of those very fun extravagant type of swimsuits he’s here to have fun dammit!! However he hates the feeling of wet sand so he’s not coming out of the water he has to be dragged/carried out.

As for Daniil he’s definitely the type who stays out of the water, he’d probably lay on the sand on a towel reading under a parasol. You aren’t getting him in the water don’t try, he’s also probably the type who brings water along with him because he’s not getting dehydrated nor is he paying overcharged prices to get some later. He’d wear a shirt, shorts and sunglasses again he’s not going in the water however this also is the only time you’ll ever find him dressed so casually.

I think the dynamic would change depending on if it’s them in university going out to the beach or if it’s them as their current age going out to the beach. In university he’d maybe put his legs in the water for a few minutes also they’d probably be there to have a few drinks but nobody can prove that. And they’d probably be there later in the evening again they probably are there to drink.

The dynamic would also change if it’s post canon since Falin now has a sister to look after well depending on if willow survives Falin’s route he’d also treat her as a sister so technically two sisters kinda?? But post canon Faniil would only be going to the beach because either Falin wanted to take clara or because Clara begged Falin to take her and Daniil got dragged along with the miracle siblings but tis also means he’s going to get splashed by the miracle siblings fighting

Thoughts on dankovskoyes shared nap time

Idea has been approved by the council (me) in fact I’ll even offer up my thoughts!! On this proposal, if one of them goes to lay down for awhile the other is gonna quickly follow (think of the way if you lay down suddenly your cat is laying right on top of you.) the way they snuggle up to eachother is the same way each time, one of them holding the other tightly to their chest allowing them to bury their face there as the one holding them has their chin on top of their head. Both have issues with actually getting to sleep lots of tossing and turning and the likes.

so whoever is the one holding the other is typically the one to soothe them to sleep while they end up awake for awhile longer. If it’s Falin being held getting his hair played with or back scratched will calm him down enough to sleep meanwhile if it’s Daniil being held getting into some sort of deep rooted discussion or talking in general and extra pressure (weighted blanket and getting squeezed tighter) help him sleep. Both would also benefit from some sort of white noise and since TV’s don’t exist quite yet perhaps a record player would do the trick!!

On the rare occasion Falin falls asleep with his head on Daniil’s lap or on his thighs (much to poor Daniil’s flustered mind) on’s Daniil’s end of things I think he’s very firmly a laying his head on the chest sleeper that or he’ll rest his head against Falin’s shoulder but he general prefers to lay his head on his chest it’s more comfortable that way.

post-canon, do falin & danko return to the capital? :0 i have been wondering

Sorry for the late reply!! I’ve been asleep!! But that honestly really depends on the route/if thanatica is destroyed since there’s the soft implication that Daniil will get killed if he goes back to the capital. And I can imagine that Falin would get similarly prosecuted via guilt by association so I don’t think they’d be able to go back unless it’s for a very limited time to get affairs in order before rushing out of there. I know that thanatica is still standing in the haruspex ending so in that one they can freely go back and they’d end up taking a third person back with them. I’ve also mentioned before that their relationship parallels Nina and victors so there’s a good chance no matter the ending Falin will end up dying (and won’t come back this time around.) if you’re familiar with silent hill 2 think of it like the Maria ending in a sense!!

However alternatively speaking I could see an ending where they stay in the town Falin ends up inheriting the Stillwater (or better phrasing nobody wanted to claim it after Eva’s death.) with some slight redecoration to match the aesthetics of their original apartment and Daniil starts fucking around with his research sure he may have lost thanatica but that doesn’t mean he can’t still research things!! Though He does feel ever so slightly uneasy being in the Stillwater he won’t admit it but sometimes at night he gets the urge to look over his shoulder, Falin doesn’t share that unease if anything he feels a sense of peace in the location.

You know that thing where people with pain issues will feel particularly achy and go ‘it’s going to rain.’ Yeah I think Falin would do that, like sits up in bed middle of the night announcing it. And Daniil is just laying there besides him confused because ???? What?? How would you know that?? This later changes to getting increasingly frightened each time he ends up being corrected.
