How to Choose the Right Family Taxi with Car Seat in Spain: Tips
Choosing the right family taxi with a car seat in Spain can be a crucial part of ensuring your family’s safety and comfort while travelling. Here are some comprehensive tips to help you make an informed decision, along with answers to four frequently asked questions.
Tumblr media
Tips for Choosing the Right Family Taxi with Car Seat
Research and Book in Advance: Before your trip, research taxi services in Spain that offer car seats. Many reputable taxi companies provide this option, but availability can vary. Booking in advance ensures you get a vehicle equipped with the necessary safety features.
Check Car Seat Standards: Ensure the taxi service provides car seats that meet European safety standards (ECE R44/04 or ECE R129/i-Size). These standards ensure the seat offers the best protection in the event of an accident.
Specify Car Seat Type and Age: When booking, specify the type of car seat you need based on your child’s age, weight, and height. Car seats come in different groups:
Group 0+: Rear-facing infant carriers for babies up to 13 kg (approx. 12-15 months).
Group 1: Forward-facing seats for children 9-18 kg (approx. 9 months to 4 years).
Group 2/3: Booster seats for children 15-36 kg (approx. 4-12 years).
Verify Installation: Ensure the taxi driver is knowledgeable about properly installing the car seat. Incorrect installation can significantly reduce the seat's effectiveness in protecting your child.
Read Reviews: Look for reviews and testimonials from other families who have used the service. Positive feedback about reliability, safety, and cleanliness can help you choose the best provider.
Consider Child-Friendly Services: Some taxi services go the extra mile to cater to families, offering amenities such as entertainment options for kids, spacious vehicles for strollers, and drivers trained in child safety.
Language and Communication: Choose a service where communication is not a barrier. Opt for companies where drivers or customer service agents can speak your language or English to avoid misunderstandings.
Emergency Contact: Have an emergency contact in Spain, preferably someone who speaks Spanish, to assist if you encounter any issues with the taxi service.
FAQs
1. Can I bring my own car seat when travelling to Spain?
Yes, you can bring your own car seat when travelling to Spain. It ensures that you have a seat that you are familiar with and that meets the safety standards you trust. However, it is essential to check the airline’s policy on transporting car seats and whether the car seat fits in the taxis available in Spain.
2. What if the taxi company doesn’t have the car seat I need?
If the taxi company doesn’t have the specific car seat you need, you have a few options:
Bring Your Own: As mentioned, bringing your own car seat is a reliable option.
Rent a Car Seat: Some car rental companies and baby equipment rental services offer car seats for rent. You can arrange to have the seat delivered to your hotel or the airport.
Use an Alternative Service: Look for other taxi services or rideshare options that offer the car seat you need.
3. How can I ensure the car seat is correctly installed in the taxi?
To ensure the car seat is correctly installed:
Inspect the Installation: Before starting the journey, check that the car seat is firmly secured and follows the installation instructions provided by the manufacturer.
Ask the Driver: Request the driver to assist in installation if you are unsure. Many professional drivers are trained in car seat installation.
Follow Online Guides: Use online resources or videos to guide you through the installation process.
4. Are taxis with car seats more expensive in Spain?
The cost of taxis with car seats can vary. Some services may charge a small fee for providing a car seat, while others include it in the overall fare. It is advisable to check with the taxi company about any additional charges when booking. Comparing prices between different services can also help you find a cost-effective option.
Conclusion
Choosing the right family taxi with a car seat in Spain involves careful research and planning. Ensuring the car seat meets safety standards, booking in advance, and verifying proper installation are key steps to ensure your child’s safety. By considering these tips and being aware of the FAQs, you can have a smooth and secure travel experience with your family in Spain.

To the south! (Day 3)
The night trains to Sicily (all intercity trains to Sicily actually) go on the ferry! Which is more fun in theory than in practice (it involves a lot of manouvering and the train going back and forth for a seemingly infinite time), but still, the idea that you are on a train and then THE TRAIN gets on the ferry is just so good.
Tumblr media
(I didn't take ANY pictures of the train on the ferry D: but well this was the ferry upstairs XD)
The train is an hour late and this leaves me with a very short time to shower, change and rest for a bit if i actually want to go to Pozzallo this afternoon. It's very, very hot but somehow it is more manageable that the heat in Viareggio and Rome (I guess lower humidity and wind?) so I decide to try to go.
Tumblr media
The train to Pozzallo is the tiniest diesel train <3 old but luckily it has ac! (Except that something happens after the departure and the ac is not working properly and it is SO HOT. And the train is late. And I don't have enough water ;_;) Also they sadly graffited the windows, and I can't really see outside:(
A guy tried to open a window and when he saw they were locked shut he went straight into the *place where the train driver is I have no idea how you would call that in english* and got the tool to open them, then proceded to offer to open every window in the train car yay!
Tumblr media
(open windows=pretty photos from the train)
Pozzallo is a nice seaside town, definitely better as a place to visit than Brennero (northernmost station) and Bardonecchia (westernmost). There's a nice, cool-ish breeze and in the shade is almost pleasant, but every time i step outside of the shadows the sun is scorching. I wanted to dip my toes in the water but the beach was full of people and I didn't really want to walk under the sun for so long, so I just wandered around for a bit. (I didn't even take a picture of the sea. WHAT? I usually take several pictures of the sea every time I come near the sea XD)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When I got to the train station, they announced that my train was cancelled for a problem on the line. The next one wouldn't come for another three hours and it was the last one, so I tried to find an alternative by bus (I even considered getting a taxi which would have been... so expensive 😅). I noticed, though, that the Trenitalia app was still tracking the train and didn't say that it was cancelled, so i decided to wait. And MENO MALE, because the train was not cancelled and so actually everything was ok XD
It's the same train from before, same problem with the ac. I have stored so much heat that really the idea of another hour and an half on a scalding fake leather seat and warm wind coming from the windows was kinda killing me. But! In Rosolini I noticed that there was a train leaving from there just ten minutes after mine, and it was a super new one! So i waited till then next station to make sure that it would actually depart, and i changed trains. I am very happy now with the big windows and the ac on :3
Tumblr media
I took a bus (a tiny bus! I love tiny buses!) from the station to the old town of Syracuse, which is actually on a small island (isola di Ortigia) connected to the main city by two bridges. The cathedral square was stunning, and so was the view out to sea.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There was generally juat a very nice vibe, and I think I'd like to come back to Syracuse in the future, maybe with someone else (as usual, being alone in the south of Italy feels much lonelier than other places; everything is built on the idea that you do things with friends, family, loved ones, and if you're on your own it doesn't quite work the same.
Tumblr media
I was starving so I got a cannolo, but it was kind of the worst cannolo I ever had (hyperbolically): so sweet! The thing I usually like about cannoli is that they are not overly sweet :(
One interesting thing about Syracuse is that people's accent is not as strong as in other parts of Sicily (or at least that's the impression i got from the limited interactions i had). Of course when i overheard people speaking in their dialect I couldn't understand a word, but that's to be expected XD
After the sun set it's not as hot as it was this afternoon but it is A LOT more humid; and it's getting dark pretty rapidly; and I'm very tired. So i guess it's time to go home.

How much for gas? Around the world, pain is felt at the pump (AP) At a gas station near the Cologne, Germany, airport, Bernd Mueller watches the digits quickly climb on the pump. “I’m getting rid of my car this October, November,” said Mueller, 80. “I’m retired, and then there’s gas and all that. At some point, you’ve got to scale back.” Across the globe, drivers like Mueller are rethinking their habits and personal finances amid skyrocketing prices for gasoline and diesel, fueled by Russia’s war in Ukraine and the global rebound from the COVID-19 pandemic. Energy prices are a key driver of inflation that is rising worldwide and making the cost of living more expensive. A motorcycle taxi driver in Vietnam turns off his ride-hailing app rather than burn precious fuel during rush-hour backups. A French family scales back ambitions for an August vacation. A graphic designer in California factors the gas price into the bill for a night out. A mom in Rome, figuring the cost of driving her son to camp, mentally crosses off a pizza night. Decisions across the world’s economy are as varied as the consumers and countries themselves: Walk more. Dust off that bicycle. Take the subway, the train or the bus. Use a lighter touch on the gas pedal to save fuel. Review that road trip—is it worth it? Or perhaps even go carless.
Inflation taking bite out of new infrastructure projects (AP) The price of a foot of water pipe in Tucson, Arizona: up 19%. The cost of a ton of asphalt in a small Massachusetts town: up 37%. The estimate to build a new airport terminal in Des Moines, Iowa: 69% higher, with a several year delay. Inflation is taking a toll on infrastructure projects across the U.S., driving up costs so much that state and local officials are postponing projects, scaling back others and reprioritizing their needs. The price hikes already are diminishing the value of a $1 trillion infrastructure plan President Joe Biden signed into law just seven months ago. That law had included, among other things, a roughly 25% increase in regular highway program funding for states. “Those dollars are essentially evaporating,” said Jim Tymon, executive director of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials. “The cost of those projects is going up by 20%, by 30%, and just wiping out that increase from the federal government that they were so excited about earlier in the year.”
Britain will electronically tag some asylum seekers with GPS devices (Washington Post) Britain will start placing electronic tagging devices on some asylum seekers after they arrive on small boats via the English Channel or through what the government calls “dangerous and unnecessary routes.” The plan launched this week, which the Home Office described as a one-year pilot, may involve adults who face deportation, impose a curfew on some or allow the detention and prosecution of those who do not comply with the new rules. The British Home Office said the plan will test whether monitoring migrants with GPS devices will help “maintain regular contact” and “more effectively progress their claims,” as well as collect information on how many escape custody. But refugee advocates denounced it as treating desperate people seeking shelter as criminals. The government indicated that among those who could be tagged would be people who challenged a decision to send them to Rwanda, after a legal showdown ended this week with the British government canceling the inaugural flight proposed under the heavily criticized policy.
Macron Loses Majority (1440) French President Emmanuel Macron lost control of the country's parliament yesterday, after his centrist coalition failed to win a majority of the 577-seat body in national elections. The outcome means Macron, elected to a second term in April, will likely face significant challenges in achieving legislative priorities. Macron and his political allies in the National Assembly faced stiff opposition from both the left and the right. A progressive coalition led by veteran left-wing politician Jean-Luc Mélenchon appears on track to win around 140 seats, while Marine Le Pen's conservative populist bloc is projected to take 90 seats—a significant jump from the eight seats won in 2017. As of this writing, Macron's bloc is projected to take around 230 to 240 seats. Analysts say frustration with major parties has led to a drop in voter enthusiasm, with less than half of eligible voters casting ballots.
Germany Turns to Coal (1440) German officials announced yesterday the country would restart a number of coal-fired power plants over the coming months as part of an effort to conserve natural gas supplies amid the ongoing war in Ukraine. The move comes in response to Russia's recent throttling of gas exports to Europe. Natural gas accounts for about 25% of Germany's energy consumption, the majority of which is used for heating and industrial purposes. Roughly one-third—down from more than half—of Germany's gas supplies come from Russia.
Russian Forces Tighten Noose Around Important Cities in Ukraine’s East (NYT) Russian forces appeared poised to tighten the noose around thousands of Ukrainian troops near two strategically important cities in the fiercely contested Donbas region of eastern Ukraine on Sunday, mounting an assault on Ukrainian front lines that forced Ukraine to rush reinforcements to the area. The Russians made an initial breakthrough Sunday in Toshkivka, a small town southeast of the metropolitan area of Sievierodonetsk and Lysychansk, where vicious street-by-street fighting and artillery duels have raged for weeks. Sergei Haidai, the regional military governor, acknowledged that the Russians had “had success” in the Toshkivka area but said the occupiers “suffered defeat” after Ukrainian artillery went to Toshkivka’s defense. It was not clear who controlled Toshkivka by nightfall Sunday. If Moscow’s forces succeed in eventually surrounding Sievierodonetsk and Lysychansk, however, thousands of Ukrainian fighters defending the two cities could be stranded. That would deliver a hard-won military victory to the Kremlin and bring Russian forces a step closer to fulfilling President Vladimir V. Putin’s objective of seizing all of Ukraine’s eastern Donbas region.
Death in Ukraine (NYT) A war can be measured by many metrics. Territory won or lost. Geopolitical influence increased or diminished. Treasure acquired or resources depleted. But for the people suffering under the shelling, who hear the whistling of incoming missiles, the crack of gunfire on the streets and the wails of loss out of shattered windows, the death toll is the most telling account of a war. In Ukraine, no one is quite sure exactly what that toll is, except that many many people have been killed. An “endless caravan of death,” said Petro Andryushchenko, an official for the devastated city of Mariupol. In its latest updates, the Office of United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights said 4,509 civilians had been killed in the conflict. But it is clear that many thousands more have been killed. Ukraine’s chief of police, Ihor Klymenko, said this past week that prosecutors had opened criminal proceedings “for the deaths of more than 12,000 people who were found, in particular, in mass graves.” And in Mariupol, the Black Sea city flattened by Russian bombardment, Ukrainian officials in exile have said that examinations of mass graves using satellite imagery, witness testimony and other evidence have led them to believe that at least 22,000 were killed—and possibly thousands more. The casualty figures exclude the thousands believed killed in territories held by Russian forces. And even where Ukraine has regained control, Mr. Klymenko said, it was premature to calculate the dead in mass graves, as more are found every week.
South Asia floods hampering access to food, clean water (AP) Floods in South Asia wreaking havoc Monday hindered authorities’ efforts to deliver food and drinking water to shelters across Assam in northeastern India and north and northeastern regions of Bangladesh. More than a dozen people died across Bangladesh since the monsoon began last week, authorities said. The government called in soldiers Friday to help evacuate people, and Ekattor TV station said millions remained without electricity. Assam has been reeling from massive floods after heavy torrential rains over the past few weeks made the Brahmaputra River break its banks, leaving millions of homes underwater and severing transport links. The Brahmaputra flows from China’s Tibet through India and into Bangladesh on a nearly 800-kilometer (500-mile) journey through Assam.
New park in central Bangkok gives Thais needed green space (AP) Bursting with trees, ponds, plants and birdlife, a new inner-city park is delighting residents of Thailand’s bustling, congested capital. Every day, crowds visit Benjakitti Forest Park to savor a taste of nature in the heart of Bangkok. It’s part of a drive to create a greener, more livable Bangkok by 2030, by bringing shade, peace and quiet to the hot, cacophonous city. Another park adjacent to the site was built in the 1990s, with a vast, man-made lake. But the new, semi-wild, 41-hectare (101-acre) extension has captured the capital’s imagination. On weekends up to 12,000 people a day use its nature trail, walkways and cycling paths, snapping photos from its viewing platforms to fill their social media feeds. Surrounded by concrete and steel, city residents currently enjoy just 7 square meters (75 square feet) of urban green space per head, according to the Bangkok Metropolitan Authority. The aim is to increase that to 10 square meters (108 square feet) by 2030 through a much-touted park-building program, and by planting more trees.
Israel to dissolve parliament, call 5th election in 3 years (AP) Israel’s weakened coalition government announced Monday that it would dissolve parliament and call new elections, setting the stage for the possible return to power of former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu or another period of prolonged political gridlock. The election will be Israel’s fifth in three years, and it will put the polarizing Netanyahu, who has been the opposition leader for the past year, back at the center of the political universe. “I think the winds have changed. I feel it,” Netanyahu declared. The previous four elections, focused on Netanyahu’s fitness to rule while facing a corruption investigation, ended in deadlock. While opinion polls project Netanyahu, who is now on trial, as the front-runner, it is far from certain that his Likud party can secure the required parliamentary majority to form a new government.
Over 200 Feared Dead in Ethiopia Massacre (NYT) An Ethiopian rebel group massacred more than 200 members of the Amhara ethnic group on Sunday, according to officials and news reports, the latest atrocity amid a civil war that threatens to tear apart Africa’s second-most-populous nation. Witnesses and officials told The Associated Press that at least 230 people were killed when members of the Oromo Liberation Army attacked Tole, a village in Oromia, Ethiopia’s largest region. The Oromo Liberation Army, a rebel group known as the O.L.A. that is designated as a terror organization by the Ethiopian government, denied carrying out the killings and said they were committed by a militia aligned with the regional government supporting Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed. The attack was among the worst ethnic violence to roil the country since November 2020 when the government and its allies began trying to suppress a rebellion that began in the northern region of Tigray. The Tigrayans, an ethnic minority that long held outsized political power in the country, revolted against efforts by Mr. Abiy to do away with the country’s system of ethnic federalism. The conflict soon exploded into a civil war, cleaving the country along ethnic lines and leaving thousands dead and injured and millions hungry and displaced. Fighters on both sides of the conflict have committed war crimes, including ethnic cleansing, mass killings and sexual violence.
‘Day Zero’ water crisis looms on South Africa’s eastern cape (Washington Post) Activists in Gqeberha have long warned of “day zero”—the moment when the taps in this South African coastal city will run dry. Years of severe drought and municipal mismanagement have edged Gqeberha closer and closer to that reality. Now, day zero is nearly here. On Monday, city officials announced that one of its four major dams had reached a level so low that barges trying to extract water sucked in mud instead. Another dam is expected to fail in the next two weeks, a third in about a month. Large parts of the city could be completely without running water by the end of the month, according to local officials. For many in South Africa, water shortages have long been a way of life. Recurring droughts in the region—which experts say are almost certainly exacerbated by climate change—combined with decaying infrastructure and poor maintenance, have led to repeated water outages in Nelson Mandela Bay, where Gqeberha is located, as well as in other cities.

Unthinkable CH48/???
Word 3500
Warning nothing
Y/N woke up early to prepare breakfast while Thomas showered, found Luke in the room busy on the phone and nodded to him before disappearing into the kitchen, turned on the coffee machine and took out bacon and eggs, set the oven at 200 degrees and prepared the baskets of eggs,
"Good morning Y/N" Luke greeted, taking a seat at the table,
"Day," she replied smiling, "Breakfast?" asked taking cups and plates from the cupboard,
"Would you like to thank you, Thomas?" he asked checking that the schedule was perfect,
"He's running out of shower" laughed the woman handing him the coffee, turned and took the baskets out of the oven,
"Day Honey " Tom said hugging her from behind, reaching out to make the coffee, "What a smell, I'm hungry" he said greeting Luke and taking a seat at the table,
"Day my King" smiled the woman doing the dishes, "I want to make sure you don't get hungry while traveling" she passed the dishes to the men and sat down in front of Tom, they ate staying eye to eye, Y/N tried to smile and not to be seen sad, he would have to stay away again but he tried to concentrate on the commitments she had made with Sophie, already in the afternoon she had an appointment with her for a charity afternoon for a hospital and was curious to see how these events worked,
" Thomas .. " Luke broke the peace,
"I'm getting dressed and I'm there," the man replied, standing up, "Darling, will you take me to the airport?" asked going up, Y/N nodded pulling jeans and sweater out of the closet, in 10 minutes they were ready, the car was waiting for them in front of the gate, they crossed the city and arrived well in advance at the airport, unloaded the luggage and headed to check in between the glances and the stolen shots,
"Miss Hiddleston if you want to pass then I'll let her out" said the smiling stewardess making them sit in the parlor of the company, they waited about twenty minutes
"We have to go," said Luke as he entered, "they announced the flight",
"I'll call you as soon as we land" said Thomas taking her face in his hands, "This month will fly you'll see" smiled kissing her,
"Yeah" Y/N replied with a lump in her throat, "I will miss you so much" she tried to smile, she hugged him before saying goodbye, a stewardess accompanied her to the garage where she burst into tears as soon as she got into the car, it would have been hard a month without him, "Heck, get over it," she said to herself shaking her head, she realized that crying about something like this was ridiculous, promotions were part of the man's job and she would keep busy, she had the new house to manage. workers would start on Monday, in two days he had an appointment with Drew for the furniture and an endless line of charity engagements, as Tom said would fly by.
Back home she went up to her room to change, had prepared a couple of dresses the night before, chose a simple blue dress with a peacock-tail pattern on the bodice and low-heeled shoes she chose a light make-up, had advice from make- up artists at the last event they attended for a natural and undemanding make-up that is especially easy to obtain, had never loved wearing make-up, she looked in the mirror satisfied with the result and went back to the room where she found Ali waiting for her,
"What are you doing here?" she asked in amazement, it wasn't an official release hadn't called her,
"Mister Hiddleston has prepared some kind of program" said Ali smiling, retrieving a folder from the bag, "I'm here to discuss days and times if you have time" handed her the program, Y/N opened the folder and looked at the sheets curiously, there it was a list of designers and shops,
"I thought a walk in Italy would distract you" she read at the bottom of the page in Tom's elegant handwriting, smiled and made himself comfortable,
"I have plenty of time, Sophie passes in a couple of hours" she replied cheerfully,
"Well, as a premiere you have Rome, Milan and Turin" she said checking the dates, "You will need at least 3 evening dresses and something for the day",
"I have too many day clothes" laughed the woman, "I could go next week",
"Perfect, where do you prefer to stay in Milan?" asked while texting, "Hilton, Four Seasons?",
"Nowhere" laughed Y/N taking the phone, "Hello, disturbing?" asked when they answered,
"Hey Poppy you never disturb" said Robi cheerfully, "Tell me everything",
"If I invade your house for 2/3 days next week what about?",
" Well I say I'll take you" answered the man laughing, "Why in Italy?",
"For the Italian premieres I need suitable clothes and Thomas pointed out that choosing home stylists would be better" replied Y/N, "I take the opportunity to take a tour and be with you, then I send a message to the others too",
"Tell me about my arrival so I'll take a couple of days off" he said happily,
"It will be nice to be together for a few days!",
"I also bring you the passes for the premier so we can have an evening together",
"Wow" he exclaimed in amazement, "What an honor" they laughed together,
"I want you with me the evenings in Italy, so Milan, Rome and Turin" said Y/N regarding the program, "Since we don't have a support in Turin, I thought I'd take a room for you too",
"But is it okay with Tom?" Robi asked perplexed, "We don't want to seem .. how to say .. here are the profiteers",
"Imagine he is happy if we are together when we can", they greeted each other and the woman returned to focus on the program,
"Ok, the living room is done too" she said reading the list of stylists, "I have no idea how this kind of evidence works .. " said turning to her pr ,
"I 'll make a few phone calls, in these cases it is better to rely on a professional who will collect the clothes of the designers and show them to you .. " replied Ali professionally, "..If that's okay with you I would ask Miss Urbinati, she is the one who takes care of this aspect for Mister Hiddleston ",
"It's fine and I'll be able to explain myself much better in my language" she laughed, grateful for the choice,
"I'll arrange the appointments and I'll call you back" said Ali, "the workers arrive on Monday and on Wednesday you have an appointment with Mister Pritchard , he called to postpone your appointment, so I would fix it for the weekend, from Friday to next Monday .. "
"You are the best Ali" smiled Y/N, "I would not be able to make ends meet" laughed greeting her, "I'll wait for the program then",
“I'll send you a message tonight with times and appointments” she replied, writing everything down in her diary, “Do you prefer to change stocks or are the usual ones okay? she asked,
"Sorry but I have to put my feet up" answered the serious woman, "I'll be at my house, with my family, I don't want anyone around",
"Are you sure?"
"Very sure, Gian and Phil will defend me in case or I'll do it alone but I don't want to be followed and controlled even from a distance" Y/N was very serious, she didn't want to feel like an animal even in Italy,
"I don't insist but I won't tell Mister Hiddleston , you know how he thinks .. " Ali laughed resignedly, the women said goodbye, Sophie arrived shortly after splendid in her afternoon dress,
"Y/N you are beautiful" she said greeting her, "I like the feather design",
"Thanks, I hope it's suitable" she replied, making her sit down, "You look great too, but you always look great" laughed,
"I'd like to fill the top a little more but I don't think anything will grow anymore" Sophie laughed, "I'm a bit envious of your cleavage "
Y/N made coffee and they chatted for half an hour,
"Shall we go with my car or do you prefer to drive?" Sophie asked as the woman closed the door,
"I don't know the city but it wouldn't be a problem, I don't have a driving license" Y/N smiled, "Maybe I should take it, I can't always call a taxi",
"That's a great idea, you could surprise Tom when he gets back",
"Do you say that in a month it is possible?" asked Y/N in Italy it took months, "I have a lot of commitments I don't think I can do it",
"When we leave the hospital I'll take you to get information then you decide" Sophie replied getting into the car, she liked the idea of going to pick up Tom herself on his return.
They entered the room where the hospital director was waiting for them,
"Sophie welcome" he said friendly, shaking her hand,
" Stephan hi" she said cheerfully, "I'd like to introduce you Y/N will join us if that's okay with you" she smiled introducing the woman, Y/N stepped forward to shake the manager's hand,
"Very pleased" she said smiling,
"My pleasure" replied the affable man, "I'm glad you joined Sophie for this day .. ",
"Can I ask what we raise funds for, it's my first time and I'm a bit confused" smiled Y/N,
"We have to finish fixing the new neonatal ward and we would like to take some machinery" replied the man, "Don't worry it's very simple, in the end you just have to smile" Stephan laughed making way for the women, a part of the hospital park had been set up with wicker tables and armchairs, guests were strolling around the patio sipping drinks and chatting, Y/N followed Sophie observing her every movement, how she smiled and how she stood in front of the few journalists who had been invited,
"Miss Hunter .. Miss Hiddleston can we take a picture of you together?" asked a photographer approaching, the women smiled and posed close together, Y/N began to feel more comfortable moved between the tables and guests smiling affably, answering questions and thanking for donations, stopped to talk to a girl ,
"May I ask you why did you decide to turn to charity?" she asked taking a drink,
"I think everyone should do good if they have the chance," she answered sincerely, "In the position I am in it seemed stupid not to help",
"What does your partner say about this idea?" she continued with the questions, "Are you waiting for you in LA?"
"Thomas fully supports me as a UNICEF ambassador" she replied, "At the moment he left for the promotion of the film .. ",
“So you and Thomas are still together? That's not what people say" she smiled staring at her,
"Of course we're still engaged" Y/N said uncomfortably, "The paparazzi just do their job" she realized that that girl was not just a guest, she didn't know how to behave,
"There are several photos of her with other men .. " she made herself under the girl, ".. in various events",
"Unfortunately I'm a very sociable person .. " Y/N tried to laugh, "..I never thought my showing affection to friends would be misrepresented like this",
"She has many friends" she said curiously, "Some very famous",
" Well Rice and I have known each other for a lifetime if you're talking about him" she replied as neutral as possible, "And Evans is like a brother to me",
the reporter was about to continue the interrogation when a man approached, "here is another reporter" thought anxiously Y/N,
"This way miss .. " he said seriously to the reporter, "If you want to follow me to the exit" he motioned her to sit down, the girl smiled greeting Y/N and followed him without making a fuss, she had no reason to have obtained what he wanted,
"Everything good?" Sophie asked continuing to smile as if talking about the weather, "I'm sorry every now and then it happens that journalists interested in scandals come in",
"A little anxious about what I will read tomorrow .. " Y/N replied trying to be vague, ".. I can never let my guard down",
"I went through it too at the beginning of my story with Ben, but with my work I recognize a journalist in disguise when I see him" she laughed, taking her by the arm and returning to the guests,
"We have to go out together more often then so you can teach me all the tricks" laughed in turn Y/N finding her calm, at the end of the afternoon the director of the ward thanked the guests for the donations, the money collected would be used to restore the neonatal ward and buy the latest generation incubators, the women were extremely happy with how the day went, Y/N felt very tired, already at the dinner in Paris she realized how tiring it was to raise funds, smile and be affable and perfect was unnerving, she and Sophie went out smiling and left,
"How do you feel?" Sophie asked cheerfully, " It went very well as the first time",
"I'm a bit exhausted mentally but I feel great" Y/N replied smiling, " It's really satisfying to do something good for the children",
"We have collected almost all the money we need"
"Thanks for involving me, I can't wait to do it again" laughed Y/N relaxing,
Sophie crossed the city to go to the driving school near her and Benedict's house ,
"Here we are" she said as he parked in the driveway, "Before I take Sam's then we'll take something from me" she smiled accompanying her, Y/N followed her wondering how he would get her license in a month, they entered the studio making the doorbell ring,
" Sophie dear, welcome," said a middle-aged man walking around the desk, "How can I help you?" he asked hugging her,
"Hi Sam I'm here with a challenge" she replied dissolving the embrace and presenting Y/N, "She is Y/N, she has to get her driver's license and she is less than a month old" laughed,
"Nice to meet you Miss" he said shaking her hand, "Nice challenge really how come you want to get your driver's license so fast?"
"My pleasure" smiled Y/N, " Well first of all because I don't always want to book taxis or private cars and, secondly, I would like to surprise my boyfriend when he comes back" she laughed with them, " I know it's almost impossible but I would to attempt",
"Nothing is impossible here" he laughed making her sit, "As for the theory we use a practical app that he can use both on the phone and on the computer so he can take the test tests whenever wants" he began to explain, "Ditto for the lessons can follow them from the computer with a tutor if you want ",
"It would be perfect, I have a lot of commitments in the coming weeks" Y/N replied happily, "For the guides instead?" she asked worried about not having time to do them,
"It depends on you" said Sam, "If you use a car with manual or automatic transmission, in the first case you have to drive here every other day .. ",
"And this is difficult, next week I'm leaving for Italy for a few days .. " replied the woman, "..the second option?",
".. the second option is automatic change with a private tutor who will give you lessons every time you move" concluded Sam practical,
"Very well, the automatic gearbox gone .. when can I start?" she asked cheerfully, she could do it,
"If you give me your documents I will register you immediately" he said making a copy of his documents while calling the tutotr , "Erik I have a special student for you can you come in now?", 10 minutes later a guy walked into the agency,
"Here I am Sam" he said smiling introducing himself,
"She is Y/N Hiddleston from tomorrow you will take care of her lessons" said Sam explaining the program, "You are the most suitable person, you know how to juggle with clients' commitments and you are a great teacher",
"Miss Hiddleston is a pleasure" he said introducing himself, "I'm at your complete disposal" he smiled,
"Um thank you and give me some you" she replied to the smile, "If you are free we could start tomorrow, I'm full of commitments and I have to move a lot",
"Great with the more practice you do with the easier it will be to pass the exam" he laughed, "Can I get an overview of your schedule so I can organize myself?"
" Sure .. " Y/N answered taking out of the bag the folder that Ari had left her, ".. well, I hope it's not too delusional for you" she smiled giving the young man the sheets, Erik quickly read the program,
"I see that you have no commitments tomorrow" he said, reviewing the sheets, "I could come and pick you up tomorrow morning at 8 to take the first lesson and explain how the car works, what do you say?" he asked looking at her,
"It would be perfect if you have no other commitments" replied the cheerful woman,
"I am a private tutor, I work with those who do not have the time to come here to follow the lessons" replied Erik explaining himself, "For the next month I will be your shadow .. also in Italy" he laughed, Y/N paid the registration, she thanked Sam and left his number with Erik before leaving and going to Sophie's house.
"Take a seat, make yourself at home," Sophie said inviting her to come in, " BEN .. Benny are you home?" she said aloud checking the alarm and taking off her shoes, "He'll be in her study" she told Y/N leading her into the room,
"What a beautiful house" Y/N said looking around, it was very similar to theirs, large and bright spaces, a large garden, the open library hidden behind a double arch in colored bricks , he heard a violin playing somewhere in the house, she didn't recognize the melody but she liked it very much,
"It will sound familiar" Sophie laughed, "Those two have the same tastes, when Tommy comes back we have to organize a dinner with us" she said taking drinks for both of us, "I'm sure you will love hearing them play together",
"Play together?" she asked in astonishment Y/N drinking, Sophie nodded to the music Y/N bringing with if ,
"Don't tell me that Tom has never played for you" she asked in amazement, "How did he win you over then?" she asked laughing entering the studio with her, Benedict had not noticed their presence concentrated on the score, Y/N gasped seeing the studio which was nothing more than a music room, the man was playing the violin in the center of the room, on one side there was a dark and shiny piano and a series of wind instruments, the women sat in silence to listen applauded as soon as the man finished the piece,
"Hey my love, welcome back" he said smiling and kissed her partner, "How was your afternoon?" he asked cheerfully placing the violin on the cabinet, "Y/N well arrived" he greeted her embracing her,
"Thank you," she replied, getting comfortable again, "Is there something you and Thomas don't do perfectly?" she asked cheerfully, the trio laughed,
"She didn't know Tommy plays too" Sophie laughed to her boyfriend, "You see he didn't use your tactic to win her over",
"We just needed him to serenade me" laughed Y/N, "He had already bewitched me by reading me the Henry.. if he had also played I would have fainted at his feet immediately",
"Tactic number 2" said Benedict laughing, "Read Shakespeare .. ",
"If you didn't grow up here I understand that the extreme romanticism of English men is deadly" said Sophie, "I also fell like a ripe fruit .. and I know all their techniques" she laughed, they dined together chatting about the day and Benedict's projects ,
"I'll put my shoes on and I'll walk you home dear," Ben said standing up,
"Don't bother I already called a taxi" Y/N replied following the couple to the door, "Sophie thanks for the day, I really enjoyed myself and I learned a lot" she said hugging the woman,
"See you on Tuesday for the next event, dressed comfortably we will be on the farm" she smiled greeting her, the taxi had arrived,
"Where do I take you Miss?" asked the taxi driver, Y/N gave the address and picked up the phone,
§Friday boys arrive in Italy to shop keep free!§ she wrote to the group,
§ Really? § , § How wonderful§, §How long are you staying? §, they all asked together,
§I arrive on Friday and leave on Tuesday§ Y/N replied cheerfully for that weekend at her home,
§I will make your bed§ wrote Gian happily,
§ Gian is supported by me§ Roby replied, §We can all gather here§,
§Will, tomorrow I ask for a couple of days§ Franc replied , §Jack is in Vienna it's a shame§,
§As I said to Roby I also bring you the passes for the premieres of the film .. I want you with me§ said Y/N, they were all in turmoil for those evenings,
§Beautiful you should also invite Simo§ Rice sent her a private message,
§ Lucifer I don't think about it§ she replied annoyed by that request, it was like him to forgive certain things, § I know how you think but I'm not you§,
§I tried:) § replied the friend, §I could surprise you with my presence on Sunday§,
§ REALLY? § she asked excitedly by the news,
§Yes I have a photo shoot on Monday§ answered Rice, § And maybe I can also be there at the premier of Rome§, Y/N was very happy with that news,
§So I'll take you out to dinner just the two of us .. I owe you an evening after having blown you away after the parade§ wrote Y/N hoping he was not yet offended by that escape,
§ It is the minimum after having fled ;) §,
§See you guys on Friday, I want you nice loads for shopping§ greeted Y/N, he was home by now, the day had been long, weird and exciting, she just wanted a coffee and hear from her man, looked at watch, was almost midnight, she did the math by now Thomas's flight must have almost arrived, she took a shower and waited for the man to call her.

Road trip. John Wick. Chapter One.
Tumblr media
A/N: It’s been so long I’ve almost forgotten how this website works. Okay, this has been sitting in my drafts for like three months and I’ve only written this part ‘cause I’m terrible at keeping up with stuff BUT I’m going to try to get this done. There won’t be a specific “update day” cause my life’s a mess and when I’m not working I’m doing uni stuff but I’ll try to get some time to write the next chapters (and the requests I have left oh my god I’m so sorry). The next update may come next week or in a couple of months, only God knows. However, I hope you enjoy 💖. This is kind of a shitty chapter too, I don’t know what else to say, don’t expect much from me ‘cause I don’t wanna disappoint you guys.
Summary: Road trip around Italy yay!
Word Count: 2,007
Warnings: None.
“Look at this.” you said with your eyes glued to the laptop screen. The web of AirItalia was on display before you. You pointed at one the cheaper flights while John stood behind you, leaning over your shoulder to get a better look at the screen.
“Mhm, that’s a good one but, baby, you know money isn’t a problem.” He kissed the top of your head and you leaned into the back of the chair, crossing your arms over your chest.
“I know but you always pay. Makes me feel like I’m taking advantage of you.” You turned your head to look at him pouting your lips and making him laugh lightly. “But you’re not doing it. Just pick the one you like the most. I know you want this to be perfect.” You sighed resuming your task. You knew it was impossible for you to win his fight, it was like talking to a concrete wall when it came to money stuff.
You had been meaning to go on vacation together for a couple of months but every time the plane tickets were booked something came up; family emergencies or last minute work calls, forcing you to postpone your little vacay yet another time. However, this time you took care of everything. You made sure to convince your boss to free your schedule for a month, those years of hard work finally paying off. John called Winston to let him know he was going to take a month off, asking him to let administration know so no contracts were sent his way during that time. It was going to be perfect. You were planning to drive all over Italy, visiting all the important cities and discovering all those little romantic villages you saw in films. The thought of John speaking italian made you squirm on your seat.
He barely kept up with the plans you made, you were the one in control this time. You wanted to take him to cute intimate restaurants, wear summer dresses that you knew would drive him crazy, kiss him under the string lights hung on the streets, get wine drunk and tease him under the table. You also wanted to share with him one of the things you loved the most: art. Going to one of the most artistic countries was like a dream came true for you and, considering the fact that he loved seeing you enjoy things, he was going to be the happiest man ever.
The trip started in Milan, you would go east to Venice, then down to Bologna, Florence, Pisa, Siena, Rome, Napoli, Capri and finishing in Sardegna. It was going to be the perfect vacation. You had made a list with places to visit and restaurants with good reviews that you wouldn’t let him see, saying everything had to be a surprise. Actually, he only got to choose the hotel and the rental car.
Weeks passed by and excitement creeped its way through your body, infecting John each day that passed. The only thought on his mind was the fact that he got to spend the whole month exploring a new country - yes, he had been in Italy before but only for business so it didn’t really count - with the girl he was in love with. For someone like him, who had lacked the presence of an emotional connection with someone and the freedom of doing what he wanted his whole life, this was a big deal. This came to show that even John Wick could have at least a glimpse of what everyone had: a normal life.
“C'mon! We’re gonna be late!” you said from downstairs, your creaking voice eliciting a loud laugh that came from their bedroom. You cleared her throat while suppressing a giggle yourself “You won’t be laughing so hard after I come up there and beat your ass, Mr. Wick!”
He laughed even harder while he walked down the stairs with a couple of suitcases. “I’m coming, I’m coming.” His hair, still wet and in need of a light comb, fell on his face as he put their luggage on the floor.
“Well now I know why it took you so long. Who gave you the right to be this handsome?” You put one arm over his shoulder while you reached with your other hand to pull away some of the strands that were still over his face. His arms snuck around your waist as he pressed you flush against his chest.
“I don’t know I guess they put too much "handsome” in the mix when they made me.“ He smiled cheekily while leaning down to kiss your lips sweetly.
Your heart fluttered, it always did. His soft lips and the light scratch of his beard on her face made you fall in love more and more each time you kissed. You turned the sweet kiss into a more passionate one, lightly biting his lower lip and tangling your hands in his hair. You got a low grunt as an answer. He knew where you were going and if he obliged you would totally miss the plane. He tried to push you away but you held onto his shoulders
"Just a quickie.” you mumbled against his lips as you grabbed the hem of his shirt and started lifting it.
“Baby, we’re going to miss the plane, remember?” He pulled away and looked at your pouting face, chuckling to himself. “Let’s go.” He said as he opened the door and held it for you.
You reluctantly grabbed your suitcase and walked out towards the taxi that was waiting for you.
The ride to the airport was quiet. John knew you were mad. Well, not mad, irritated. You had your arms crossed and was looking out the window, not even bothering to look at him when he put his hand on your thigh. He chuckled earning a quizzical look from you
“What are you laughing about?” You said. Your tone was stern but he knew it was getting hard to keep yourself mad at him.
“I know why you’re mad at me.” His hand started trailing up your leg. You squirmed under his touch. You hated to admit it but the effect he had on you was pretty obvious. You struggled to keep your face straight and your voice steady.
“Then tell me why.” You teased. He leaned closer to you, making sure the driver couldn’t hear what he was about to say
“Trust me when I say there wasn’t anything I wanted to do more than to fuck you against the front door, but then we would’ve missed the plane and that would have made me so, so sad because, you see, I’m really, really looking forward to fuck you all around Italy.” You sucked in a sharp breath, your thighs tensed at the words that left his mouth which was now curled in a mischievous smile as his hand creeped dangerously closer to your crotch, almost gracing it. You gulped, your brain trying to send the signals to make you speak
“Don’t start anything you won’t be able to finish.” You said as you put your hand over his and moved it away. Your eyes looked into his daringly and he looked away while he let out a loud laugh, startling the taxi driver.
“Baby, you’re playing with fire and trust me when I say you’re gonna get burned.” He said breathlessly after the laughter stopped.
The flight was long and dreadful. Your legs were sore, his back hurt like hell and jet lag was a bitch. All you wanted was to arrive at the hotel and sleep for two days straight. Instead you waited and waited for your luggage to come out on the conveyor belt in baggage claim and then you waited a little more to pick up the car you had rented. Finally it was your turn and John walked up to the counter. You could make out some italian words as you heard him speak but you were too tired to think about how sexy it sounded, you just wanted him to end with the talking and to get you both the hell out of there. It was ten o'clock in the morning, the sun was shining bright and you raised your hand to shield your eyes as you regretted packing your sunglasses in your stupid suitcase. Meanwhile, John mocked you and danced around while he put his black rayban on.
“Where did you get all that energy from’” you said as you struggled to drag your suitcase through the parking lot.
“We’re in Milan baby!” He ran to you and kissed you sweetly, his excitement was obvious and, although he had never been so tired, it felt good to be far from home on a new adventure.
It didn’t take you long to get to the hotel. Well, you wouldn’t know since you fell asleep the second your ass was sitting on the car seat. John just chuckled quietly and turned on the radio to have something to listen to so he wouldn’t fall asleep too. He parked in the hotel’s parking and walked around the car to open the passenger’s door. He shook you softly and your eyes opened slowly.
“Baby, wake up, we’re here.” The only response he got was a tired groan as you got out of the car and walked to the trunk to pick up your suitcase, his hand snatching it from you as soon as you grabbed ahold of it. “I got it.” he said as he smiled sweetly at you.
John walked up to the counter, once again, and spoke italian, again. The concierge gave him the key to your room and you wasted no time dragging John behind as you rushed to the elevator. When he opened the door with the magnetic card you eyes widened at the sight before you. There was a huge living-room decorated with ebony furniture that, mixed with the flowery carpeted floor and green sofa, gave it all a forest-like ambiance. A huge bouquet of flowers was placed in the small table in front of the sofa and the enormous windows allowed light to illuminate each corner of the room. To the left there was a huge king sized bed with white silky sheets that screamed for you to take the nap you were so desperately needing. To the right there was a white marble bathroom with a huge bathtub that, although you couldn’t see, you knew it was a jacuzzi. There also was a big window that allowed you to look down at the city (or the city to look up at you) when you were having your lovey-dovey moments in the tub.
You turned to look back at John who had a cheeky grin planted on his face “do you like it?” he asked already knowing the answer.
“Are you kidding? It’s perfect!” You squealed while jumping into his arms and kissing his face all over “You’re the best!”
John giggled as he carried you to the bed and set you down softly, his hair falling to his face as he hovered over you. The laughter stopped and you looked at each other, your gazes full of love and adoration. He leaned down, his lips softly gracing yours and making your heartbeat speed up. You leaned up and smashed your mouth against his. He grunted and returned the kiss with the same passion, tongues meeting and teeth clashing together. Your hands were all over his body, tugging at the soft fabric of his t-shirt and scratching his back. He moaned into your mouth as your hand reached his crotch, rubbing him through his pants. You grinned at the sound and suddenly pulled away brushing your untamed hair with your hands.
“I think I’m gonna get some sleep.” You faked a yawn and scurried out of bed to put on you pajamas. John looked at you incredulously as he stifled a laugh.
“Wanna play nasty? You’ll see.”

Ah as soon as i saw that requests where open, i just had to rush in uwu may i have some trish una x fem reader? she’s just so underappreaciated and i would love more content about her (plus she’s pretty and always makes my heart flutter) thank you!!! 💝💞💗💖💙💓💕❣️💗💖💖
Hi anon! Sorry for the wait, I hope you like it! 💞 since you weren't specific I went with a short scenario. uwu
Trish Una
World tours were never easy. Neither for Trish, neither for (Y/n). The people on her team of musicians and even her own manager were happy, but no one could really dismiss how much they missed their families, significant other's and pets. So when the last concert at Australia was wrapped and the fans were satisfied in a proportional way, Trish arrived at the airport, eager to go home and sleep —but sleep was second, her first longing was (Y/n). — sure, they have been doing calls, sending pictures and having a great communication through social media, but nothing would be the same as kissing her lips, taking her hand and stare at those eyes, that in her world, were diamonds worth of praise. —Trish Una knew well how much she wanted to be home, not the building, but her arms.
The airport was filled with her fans, some of them waving happily, others asking for autographs and some others crying; despite the sleep making her eyelids drop dangerously, Trish still waved at them, but couldn't sign anything, her flight was waiting and even if she felt horrible about it, she also knew that she just couldn't force her body like that.
•••
Finally taking her seat and after the plane started moving, the sleep she was trying to blink back finally took over, sending Trish into a oh so needed deep sleep equivalent to six hours; the flight was supposed to take twelve hours and fifty seven minutes.
When the stewardess woke her up there was still five hours forty minutes left, and Trish couldn't really keep her excitement, turning to her manager and talking to her about it, time passed soon. When she less expected it, they were in Rome.
"Alight, Trish" said her manager, Lila, once they were outside the airport, surrounded by bodyguards and some of Passione's informants, "can you make it home yourself if we get you a taxi?"
Trish nodded, smiling kindly at her; Lila reminded her of her mother in that way in which she was always asking if she was okay, if she had water or food, she was like Donnatella Una in a lot of ways; and it only made her think about the destiny she molded, ignoring the one her father inherited her with. After all those years, she still wondered what was that weird feeling on her chest; it meant, for what happened at the Coliseum, that Diavolo was still alive. But every time Trish commented this to Giorno on her regular visits, the blond would try and explain, but it didn't sounded true; the feeling would come and go.–
"Miss? We are here."
The driver's voice snapped her out of her thoughts, her tired mind registering the words slowly. Getting out of the car after paying, the front door seemed different; it's been a year since the last time she saw her home, and the changes in the colors were obvious, but Trish certainly couldn't think about it when she was already opening the door and being tackled by a well known body; her ears invaded by the laughter of the person; a pair of familiar arms around her, and a missed perfume making her closer her eyes and take in everything the moment could give.
"Tri, I missed you a lot! Come on, I have something for you."
Trish followed (Y/n) to the kitchen, leaving her backpack aside the door. "How did you know I was coming?"
"Lila called, told me you seemed tired, but happy."
"Of course, how couldn't I? I've missed you a lot, (Y/n). I was going to see my babe after a year of calls and selfies."
Leaving a small plate with sour salad in front of her, (Y/n) flashed a smile that left Trish in a haze, not registering the way she leaned, pressing a chaste kiss against her lips.
"I missed you too, Tri."
Embracing each other, Trish finally felt at home.

All To Myself
Tumblr media
Pairing - Jensen x Reader, Jared, Briana.
Word Count - 2k
Warnings - Swearing, secrets, drinking, fluff and a smidge of angst.
Summary - You’ve been keeping a secret and you’re petrified about how the fans will react.
Looking out of the window as the taxi drove you through Rome to the hotel you weren’t really paying attention to the conversation Jared and Jensen were having. Jensen’s hand took yours in your lap giving it a small squeeze. “What are you thinking about?” He asked when you turned to face him, Jared was scrolling through something on his phone in the front seat.
“Nothing, I’m just a bit tired.”
“Jetlag will do that to ya.”
“I know.” Resting your head on his shoulder he wrapped his arm around your shoulders.
“Take a nap when we get to the hotel.”
“No that will make it worse, do we really have to be on a plane again on Monday?”
Jared turned in his seat looking at Jensen. “I thought-” When he saw the look on Jensen’s face he turned back. “Never mind.”
“Why don’t you try and get a few minutes now? I’ll wake you when we’re at the hotel.” He suggested running his hand up and down your arm.
“Thanks.”
You really had no idea how you’d got so lucky with him. When you walked onto the set of Supernatural nearly 2 years ago to film two episodes to play a hunter who crossed paths with Sam and Dean, joined them on a hunt or two then most likely met a grizzly end, you didn’t expect for them to ask you to stick around. You certainly didn’t expect for them to give you a real storyline or that your character Olivia would slowly end up in bed with one of the Winchesters. Out of all of it you didn’t expect to fall for Jensen the way you did, working with him every day it was inevitable that you’d become close friends, you’d wake up every day and be excited to go to work just so you could be with him, that’s when you knew you’d fallen and hard.
Jared jogged towards you. “Y/N, wait up!”
“What? What’s up?”
“Where are you going?” He asked giving you a side hug.
“Home, why?”
“Can you do me a huge favour?”
“Depends, I’m not being your gym buddy again you nearly killed me last time.”
“No, nothing like that, would you just check your trailer see if I left my wallet in there?”
“Sure, you know you can just go in right?”
“I don’t like doing that when you’re not in it.”
“Well from now on if you leave something in there just go in and get it.”
“Great, thank you, I need to get to makeup will you just go look for me before you head home?”
“Sure, I’ll come find you if I have it.”
“Thanks.”
Walking towards your trailer you opened your door climbing up the few steps you froze when you saw Jensen stood in the middle of your trailer staring at his phone in his hand. The door slammed shut behind you, the lock clicking shut.
“What the fuck? Jensen, what’s going on?”
“You texted me asking me to come meet you in your trailer.”
“I didn’t.” Reaching for your phone in your back pocket it was gone.
Jensen’s phone rang in his hand accepting the call he clicked on the speaker button.
“Jared, what are you doing?” Jensen groaned.
“I’ll let you both out when you ask her.” Jared’s voice filled the room.
“Ask me what?”
“I’m going to kill you.”
“Yeah well watching you two looking at each other all day and neither of you making a move is gonna kill me, ask her.”
“You best start running when you unlock the door.” Hanging up the call he stuffed his phone into his front pocket. “I’m going to kill him, erm… do you want  to go to dinner with me … tonight.”
“I’d love to.” You nodded smiling at him.
A smile broke out across his face. “I’ll pick you up at six.”
“Sounds perfect.”
“You do it yet?” Jared called out from behind the shut door.
“Yes, you asshole now let us out!”
The lock clicked as the door flew open, Jared already hightailing it away from your trailer. “I’ll see you tonight.”
“See you later.” Leaving your trailer you walked towards your car, chuckling when you saw Jensen break out into a run chasing after Jared.
Jensen was the perfect boyfriend, scratch that he was the most perfect man to ever walk the earth and somehow he loved you as much as you loved him. Your relationship was nearly perfect, the only thing that could possibly ruin the fairytale you felt like you were living, no one knew. Jared, the cast and crew knew, you’d met each other's families who were both very happy for the two of you, it was the fans who didn’t know. They hadn’t taken very well to Dean and Olivia’s relationship and it terrified you that they’d hate the fact you were dating one of the shows leads.
Jensen tried to tell you that they wouldn’t hate you, that they’d love you. The months went by and you still weren’t ready to tell anyone, constantly terrified that the bubble would burst and everything would come crashing down around you. Jensen soon gave up asking when you wanted to go public with your relationship he said whenever you were ready to tell the fans he was happy to do it on your terms. Nearly a year and a half later you were still secretly dating Jensen, you were surprised no one had worked it out yet, you were living together and still, somehow no one knew.
-
“Hey, we didn’t think you two would make it.” Briana grinned at you as you walked into the restaurant with Jensen.
“What? Why?” Jensen asked his brow creasing slightly.
“Jared said Y/N was pretty tired earlier.”
“I had a nap, I’m fine, we wouldn’t miss a chance to spend time with you guys.” Walking towards the two seats next to each other they’d saved for the two of you Jensen pulled one out for you waiting until you’d sat down before he sat in his own chair.
“Such a gentleman.” Jared winked at you.
Rolling your eyes at him you took one of the glasses of wine Jensen had poured as he put the bottle back on the table.
“Here’s to another year and another JIB.” Jared raised his glass.
-
Someone was hammering on the hotel room door, Jensen’s arms were wrapped around your waist his eyes still closed as he smacked his lips together. “Leave it, they’ll go.”
“Jensen!” Jared called from behind the locked door. “Dude it’s important!” He shouted before continuing to bang on the door.
“What time is it?” He asked as he pulled his arms away from you.
Blinking at the digital alarm clock you threw your arm over your face. “Six.” You sighed, you weren’t even out of bed yet but you knew the last couple glasses of wine were a bad idea.
“I’m gonna kill him, I’m actually going to do it today.” Grabbing his boxers up off the floor he slipped them on walking out of the bedroom he let Jared into the room.
“I’m so, so sorry.” Jared blurted.
Pulling your arm away from your face you sat up in bed, using the sheet to cover your chest.
“What for?” Jensen asked.
“Last night, I, well we were all pretty drunk by the end of the night, I swear I didn’t mean to.”
“What the hell did you break?” Calling out you pulled the sheet off the bed wrapping it around yourself, bending down you grabbed the deep blue shirt Jensen wore the night before, buttoning it up you dropped the sheet and walked towards your boyfriend and best friend. “What is it?”
“Last night when we were still at dinner after quite a few glasses of wine I did a live stream.”
“You did?” Jensen asked glancing towards you.
Shaking your head you had no idea what he was talking about. “When?”
“Right about the time you two were making out.”
“What?” Your jaw dropped. “You did a live stream and showed us making out?”
“No, no, no, no, I had my arm around Misha’s shoulders and you two were in the background, I didn’t even notice it at the time, I saw it when I woke up, I’ve deleted it -”
“But it’s out there, they know.” You cut him off. “Great.”
“Y/N, I’m so sorry, I know you wanted to tell people in your own time, I never meant to take that away from either of you, I’m sorry.”
“Jared It’s okay.” You smiled at him.
Jensen’s arm slipped around your waist pulling you close to his side.
“I’m so sorry.”
“Jared honestly, it’s okay, stop apologising.”
“You’re sure?” He glanced towards Jensen who nodded at him.
“Yes, I’m sure, I’m gonna go back to bed because it’s six and I don’t need to be awake for another two hours.” Jensen’s arm dropped from around your waist watching as you walked back into the bedroom, pulling the sheet up off the floor you covered yourself as you lay on the bed.
“She’s pissed at me huh?” Jared whispered.
“She’ll be okay, she’s tired and didn’t expect that to be one of the first things she hears today.”
“Man, I’m sorry.”
“Don’t worry about it.”
“I’ll let you go back to sleep.”
Listening to the door shut and lock Jensen’s footsteps got louder as he walked towards you, the bed dipped next to you, his arm slipping under your waist.
“Talk to me.” He mumbled kissing the top of your head.
Looking up at him his palm cupped your cheek as he stared down at you with those beautiful green eyes you adored. “I have panels today, this was the worst time for this to happen, everyone knows and now I have to stand up in front of everyone, every single question is going to be about you, us.”
“If you want to cancel that’s fine but I know there are people coming today who are specifically there to see you and meet you, the fans love you and there’s no way they’re going to think anything different just because we’re together.”
“What if they think it was just a one-night thing?”
“Then correct them, tell them how much I love you, how much you mean to me.”
“That’s going to sound weird coming from me.”
“Then I’ll tell them.” Pulling your face to his he kissed you. “I’ll tell them that you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me, that you’re the most beautiful, loving, smartest soul that I have ever met and you’re all mine.”
“What are you going to say about not telling anyone for a year and a half?”
“That I wanted to keep you all to myself, which I did, I still do.”
“You’re not going to tell them I’m scared?”
“Why would I? Stop freaking out, just breathe and try and get some sleep.” His palm dropped from your cheek as he stole another kiss, pulling you closer your head rested on his shoulder, your arm thrown over his stomach.
“I love you, Jensen Ackles.”
“I love you Y/N Y/L/N.”
-
“Hi.” You smiled at the young woman holding the microphone.
“Hi, firstly I love you I think you’re amazing.”
“Thank you, love you too.”
“Second, If I’m overstepping feel free to shut me down but last night Jared did a live stream.”
“Yes, he did.” Smiling at her you nodded your head. “He did and I have some explaining to do.”
“Well, I think we have some explaining to do.” Jensen’s voice filled the speakers as he hopped up on the stage with a microphone in his hand. Wrapping his arm around your waist he kissed your cheek. “I know you didn’t want to do this alone.” He whispered into your ear.
“Thank you.”
When the noise died down he smiled at the crowd. “So I think a few of you have questions for my beautiful girlfriend.”

The Worst Third Date Ever part 30
Chapter 30: Changes.
Spencer and Max returned to Washington DC, using the same route. Rome- Amsterdam- Detroit- DC.
When they got their suitcases and walked out of the baggage claim area they saw a big banner with the message 'WELCOME HOME DR. AND MRS. REID' on it.
It was hold by Michelle, Sammy and Eloise. Max ran and hugged her sisters and nephew, then Spencer did the same.
"Welcome back uncle and aunt. I missed you" said Sammy hugging Max.
"We missed you too buddy" said Max as she ruffles his hair "we brought you a present"
"Really? That's awesome!" Said the kid excited "can I see it?"
"Honey..." Said his mother with serious eyes "they are just arriving, and I'm sure they will give it to you when they rest tonight" the kid looked down and nodded at his mother "how was the flight?" Michelle asked as they walked to the door.
"Great, there was a little turbulence but nothing too serious" said Spencer with a calm voice.
Max shook her head "I was shaking and he just mentioned facts about how an aircraft can crash"
"Oh really? Can you tell me uncle Spence?" Asked Sammy excited.
"Maybe later Sammy. Your aunt Max is still upset about that" said Spencer looking at the kid.
They reached Michelle's car and after putting the baggage in the trunk, they all got in the car and the older sister started to drive.
"Max. This week the Smithsonian called you, when they couldn't reach you on your phone they called me" said Michelle and Max looked worried.
"What? Really? What did you say? What did they say?"
"They wanted to let you know their decision after evaluate the 4 candidates" Michelle said and Max held Spencer's hand tight "they asked me when you will return. I told them the date and they asked if you could go tomorrow afternoon"
"Yes of course I can" she said holding tight her husband's hand.
"That's what I said" was the answer of her older sister and Max relaxed a little "now Spencer. JJ said Georgetown called you" the man looked confused "she said they wanted to offer you the courses. As I did, she explained that you were at your honeymoon so they wanted you to go tomorrow in the morning"
"Aww we were planning to move tomorrow my clothes to Max's apartment. It's bigger than mine" said Spencer "until we find a bigger place and I can move my books in there"
"But if you need help Spencer. Tomorrow we can help" said Eloise "my first class is after lunch tomorrow so I can take my dad there"
"That would be so nice. Thank you Eloise" said him at the younger sister of his wife.
After that the rest of the ride was quiet. Sammy was playing with his mom's phone, Max and Spencer were watching outside the window and the two sisters were listening to the music on the radio.
When they arrived to Max's apartment the couple got out and got their baggage out. They said their goodnight to the three people, Spencer handed Eloise the keys of his apartment then, they went to her apartment and walked in.
They unpacked their clothes to sleep and even with the jet lag, they were too tired to feel it's effects.
OOooOOooOO
The next day Spencer woke up earlier and got out their clothes and put in the washing machine some of them while he was getting ready to go to his new job.
Her classes will be later so he let her sleep some more minutes. Just when he was ready to leave he woke her up.
"Why didn't you wake me earlier?" She asked rubbing her eyes.
"I wanted you to rest some more. See you later and we can talk about what the Smithsonian said"
"I'm nervous. What if they don't hire me?"
"Then they will be stupid for losing such a wonderful woman" she blushed and kissed him softly.
"Have a good day Spence. Keep me posted" she said smiling.
"You too" he smiled back and he left to the university.
Spencer's car was at his apartment so he will go to the university in a taxi.
When he arrived, he walked to the office of the man he always talk with.
"Good morning, I'm here to talk with Mr Martin"
The woman at the reception nodded "your name sir...?"
"I'm Dr. Spencer Reid" the woman tapped his name on the computer.
"Floor three, go to the right, the office at the end" he nodded and walked there.
He walked there looking around. He liked this place and was excited about working here as a teacher.
When he reached the office he knocked the door and waited until the voice of Mr. Martin said "come in, please"
Spencer walked in "good morning sir" he smiled at the man, he was a man in his late sixties and fat body, with white hair, he had glasses.
"Dr. Reid! Good morning" the old man stood up to shake his hand.
Spencer shook his hand gently "it's good to see you again, sir"
"Same here boy. Please have a seat" he pointed to a chair then he sat down and so did Spencer "congratulations, Agent Jareau told me you just got married"
"Thank you. Yeah it was a week ago and I still can't believe it" he said with a little laugh.
"Hope everything end up well for you. I already signed my fourth divorce" he said a little sad.
"Oh I'm sorry"
"It's ok boy. I will move on, as always" he said with a smile that Spencer noted forced but did not say anything "anyway, thanks for coming Dr. Reid. As you know we will need you to start this April so here are the subject we need you to teach" he handed him a piece of paper "Forensic psychology, geo profile and we opened a little course where we would like you to explain how to profile someone. The classes will be Mondays and Wednesdays and those courses will be an hour on Fridays. Is it ok?"
Spencer nodded "you know I'm also working part time at the FBI, right?" He nodded "this schedule will make it hard"
"Oh, but it's not all day. You will have the rest of the day to go to your other job"
"Sir, if you move two of them? For example, forensic psychology and geo profile to one day? It could be helpful"
"I will see what I can do" said the man checking the other schedules "I will let you know this afternoon" Spencer nodded ready to leave when the man in front of him talked again "one more thing. Do you need a place to live? Because the university has some houses for the teachers. Mostly for people who have to move from another state, but right now we have a free house because Dr. Flinch left to Florida" he looked at Spencer "I'm sure you and your wife will have to find somewhere to live so maybe it can work for you"
"That would be perfect for us, we were indeep planning to look for a house" the man in front of Spencer nodded happy.
"Perfect then... You can move tomorrow if you want" he handed the keys "and I will call you today during the day ok?"
"Yes and thank you sir" Spencer shook his hand again after stood up and walked out the office.
He smiled looking at the keys and decided to check that house. It was close to the building he will work. They were finishing the painting in the house and clean the rooms that were already painted.
They told him that by tomorrow afternoon it will be ready. Spencer smiled and nodded at the people who were working there.
After that he went back to his apartment where Eloise and Don were getting his clothes in suitcases.
"Good morning Don and Eloise" he said walking in "how are you doing?"
"Oh hey Spencer, we are almost done here" said Don "you have a lot of suits"
Spencer laughed "yeah I have been working as an FBI agent for fifteen years so needed lot of suits"
He helped them with the suitcases and moved thembto his car. Then they drink coffee and he told them what happened and that they offered him a house and that they will move tomorrow.
Both congratulate him then they drove back to Max apartment and Spencer decided to call to his friends and asked if they could help him to move in his new home, and they were all accepted.
Spencer went to the Smithsonian waiting for Max. She must be there already so he walked around the area.
Thirty minutes later Max walked out and she looked at Spencer, she was holding a bouquet of flowers in her arms.
He walked to her "hey" he could not read her expressions "how was it?" He asked.
She looked up at him and her poker face morphed into a big smile "I got the job!" She scream hugging him "I will start next week"
He hugged her tight "congratulations sweetheart! I'm so proud of you and I told you, you will get it" he smiled at her.
"Thank you babe, and what about you?" He explained everything that happened there "ok so we have a house?" He nodded "that's awesome. And do you think they will change your schedule?"
"I think so, but let's see because if they don't I might have to change my status at the FBI. And definitely leave the field" they walked to buy a coffee to celebrate "and those flowers?"
"Well these are as a present for my marriage" she smirked "and of course for be their new employee"
"That's so sweet of them" they bought coffees and donuts.
"Yeah I'm agree" they continue to talk and then the university called Spencer and they said they could not change his schedule.
Which make him consider his role in the FBI as a field agent. They will wait to talk to Prentiss about it.
The next day they moved to the new house and Spencer asked Prentiss to have a meeting with her the next day.
Their house decoration was a mix of Spencer and Max's styles which make it look weird but great at the same time, just like their relationship.
Max and Spencer gave each other their souvenirs then they sent Hotch, Jack, Morgan and his family theirs.
The next day Max has to talk with the principal that she found a new job. They asked her to stay until the end of the school year but part time, and she accepted.
Spencer also talked with Emily and she understood what was happening, she told him it was ok if he decided to quit to be a field agent.
OOooOOooOO
Hope you liked this. This chapter was planned to finish different but I could not connect with it so I decided to leave it here.
The next chapter will have a time jump and we will have 2 chapters left.

The Importance of Car Seats
Car seats are crucial for the safety of young children during travel. They provide the necessary support and protection that regular seat belts cannot offer to infants and toddlers. Shaken And A Little Bit Stirred
Our three weeks in Greece has gone by in the wink of an eye. We have loved all of it. While Milos has been our least favourite (but still very enjoyable), Folegandros was scenically stunning and the town intimate and magical. Little streets and alleys lead into squares and while tourists have definitely found it, it’s lovely to see the locals having hung on to their little houses, out on their porches in the evenings chatting away. The tourist crowd are mainly couples or families so no pumping dance music to detract from the gentle vibe.
The Peloponnese is a must-see and I hope this has come through in the blog. As a tourist in July wanting to go where the crowds aren’t this is the place. And there is something for everyone; history buffs, museum enthusiasts, hardy hikers or beach sloths. So much to see, so much to do and a month there would not feel too long.
But today we leave and it’s a mega travel day so up and about doing chores. First off was shuffling the odd piece of still damp washing on our balcony washing line (one of the small and welcome creature comforts of an extended holiday) to take full advantage of sun and breeze. Then packing of cases which is becoming increasingly strategic commensurate with additional purchases, followed by getting the hotel to print out our flight boarding passes. Breakfast, then the final odds ‘n sods into the cases in readiness for our lift from Hotel Riga’s to the port.
Hotel Rigas was delightful. While only 2 stars, the room and balcony were enormous. But the bathroom this time was the size of 2 telephone booths and only room for one person due to an oversized awkwardly placed door which to close you practically had to stand on the toilet. Fortunately after 36 years of marriage, modesty is a concern long forgotten. The staff were the real standout with brother Panos and Christos the front office charmers. But the real star of the show was the housekeeper, who when we returned to the room after our first day out, had hung up our clothes, put things away in cupboards and done a through tidy up. It felt like mum had been in doing a Spring clean . I wanted to pay her one way fare to Fergie Street.
Ferry due to leave at 11.25am and arrived only 10 minutes late which was a relief. Systematic disembarkment for the Milos foot passenger and car arrivals followed by and orderly boarding by those leaving. This was in stark contrast to the Athens leaving fiasco necessitating dashing hither and thither avoiding a reversing oil tanker, taxis, buses, boxes on the wharf, cases, the passenger carrying a canary in a cage and a lot of agitated passengers. Piraeus Port Authority could do worse than do a study trip to a few islands for a few tips on traffic management.
Ferry went via nearby islands Sifnos & Serifos gradually filling on its way to Piraeus. Happily the sea was calm and the boat steady with the 4 hours passing quickly and uneventfully. Food onboard was also worthy of mention for the wrong reason. We shared a smoked turkey, cheese and mayo sandwich. The less said about that the better.
The TVs were showing some FINA Watersport competitions including the Greeks versus the Sth Koreans at water polo. It was Goliaths vs The Punes. The score of 13-2 representative of the physical strength imbalance. Chris was surprised the Punes didn’t turn tail and head straight back to Sth Korea when they caught sight of their opposition. Next on were the prissy-glittery-glammed-up teams of synchronised swimmers. We were half watching it (Chinese coming first followed by the Japanese, who we thought only average, then Ukraine) when the TVs changed to another station. Because all Greek discussion is loud and intense (and our Greek has not progressed beyond yassas and efcharistó) we had no idea whether it was the Midday Show, a regular news bulletin or some current affairs show. With no more synchronised swimming our books got 100% attention until we docked at 3.30pm.
Things were going too well for them to last. So they didn’t. With our ferry due at Piraeus at 3.30pm and our flight to Rome via Trieste due to depart at 7.10pm it was going to be a bit tight to take a train so we’d contacted a car transfer company which sends quotes. First quote arrived on Tuesday for £65 then decreased incrementally over the 3 days to £30. There seemed to be no time limit as to when you could accept the offer so we made sure the ferry was (a) going at all and (b) not delayed before we committed. As soon as we sailed we booked the transfer and emailed the driver to confirm the booking advising what ferry we were on expecting someone to be there when we arrived
Needless to say they weren’t. Port of Piraeus is not our happy place. Meanwhile my phone reconnected to the internet and I received a message from our niece asking if we were ok after hearing about the earthquake. I didn’t think anything more of it.
Meanwhile I put in a phone call to our organised driver who knew nothing of the booking and said he would call me back. Five minutes and no call back so I called him back only for it to ring out. Chris called him but the +44 English prefix probably gave it away cos he didn’t pick up that call either. So several calls to the company who didn’t seem be able to sort a driver resulting in my ire being raised about taking bookings that can’t be filled etc. We await a refund. But the bigger problem was time was on the wing and it was now 4.30pm so we went in search of a taxi.
Taxis in the port area were all pre booked so we found a taxi rank and asked the price. €80/$120!! Tell them they’re dreaming! Already pissed off about pre-booked driver no-show I got into a debate with the driver saying “We would take the taxi and trust the metre”. His bluff was ”It would be more expensive”. I countered “That would work better for you and we’ll take our chances”. His final response was “Take the bus lady” so we walked off in principle. (Think Chris reading my mood thought silence was his safest option.) I asked his mate also in the taxi queue but it was clearly a cartel cos he looked sheepish as he quoted the same which saved him losing face in front of his thieving mate. At this stage I thought my principles might cost us dearly with a missed flight (and I’d have a lot of apologising to do and a lot of extra Holmesglen shifts to cover the cost of lost flights) when we tried to flag down a taxi joining the rank who waved us off. But sometimes sticking to your guns pays off because a little modern Mercedes came around the corner driven by a taxi angel called Lorenzo who stopped as we waved him down. Quote €50. Deal! As he was loading the bags Lorenzo excitedly asked us if we’d felt the earthquake. So this explained the change of TV programming and the text message checking in on us. At around 2pm central Athens had experienced a 5.6 earthquake followed by aftershocks. We googled it and sure enough it was Athens’ first earthquake since the one in 1990 which resulted in 146 deaths and many more injured. Lorenzo who was driving through the city at the time said you don’t feel the movement of an earthquake when driving so he wasn’t aware what was happening. He said people were running out of buildings and dropping to the ground causing him to wonder if it was a terrorist attack. Fortunately there seemed to be no damage and deaths this time.
We were finally on our way to the airport with Lorenzo who determined the usually fast freeway route was jammed (we assumed as a response to the earthquake) taking 1.45 hours so the slower coastal route was a better option. The traffic around Piraeus was appalling but this bloke had the same traffic mindset as Chris....never, ever, ever sit in a traffic jam. We belted down bumpy narrow backroads made even narrower with cars parked on either side as we avoided the bottleneck around the port. The traffic was still heavily congested but our driver took every advantage of space by cutting in at the front of queues, forming extra turning lanes etc. It was quite the performance.
Not only was he determined to deliver us to the airport on time, he loved a chat. He was an Albanian in his mid 30’s married to a Greek with with two primary school aged children. He had been a semi professional soccer goalkeeper and along with taxi driving worked as a goal keeper coach. He proudly told us that only goal keepers can coach the skills of goal keeping. Lorenzo kept us entertained with stories saying when he was young he was popular because he wanted to play keeper whereas it was usually the fat kids who were lumped into that role because all the aspiring Ronaldos wanted to be the goal kicking stars. Another one we enjoyed was that his father used to regularly dink him 24 kilometres on the back of his pushbike in Albania to see a soccer match. The distance wasn’t the only issue as the roads built by the Italians post WW2 hadn’t received any attention from the communist government leaving them rutted, potholed and crumbling. Lorenzo and his dad’s bums must have been black and blue after those 48 kilometre round trips. He was also very interested in our lives so by the time we arrived at the airport at 5.50pm we were thoroughly relaxed with our faith in taxi drivers restored. We happily handed him €60 which he thought generous. We felt certain we were on the better end of that deal.
Flight to Trieste had a Rome stopover. The first leg to Rome left on time and was fine. After landing when the seat belt lights were switched the bloke beside me on the window side stood impatient to get off and leaned all over the top of me breathing heavily - he was not a small man. Usually I would get up too but with leg room being tight and row 24 being towards the back of the plane I stayed seated waiting for the 23 rows ahead to get themselves organised. This did not please bully boy next to me. After putting up with him literally right over the top of me panting I eventually stood at my middle seat. He took this as an opportunity to lean over me attempting to reach up into the luggage hold to drag his oversized case down. With the two irksome experiences at Piraeus still rankling I was not in the mood to be hassled. I refused to move and pushed back against him thwarting his attempts. When I finally moved out toward the aisle he reached over and dragged the case down telling me to move off before the people from the row in front. I told him in no uncertain terms I wasn’t moving until they were out of their seats in to aisle. Could excuse him if he was a peasant or had another flight to catch, but indeed he was well dressed and did not go to transit when we got off. That made 3 strikes with the no-show and thieving taxi driver so my patience was sorely tested.
Fortunately for everyone, probably most of all Chris who’s cage doesn’t generally get as rattled as mine, we had a spare seat for the next flight.
Landed at Trieste just before 11pm so had been on the go for 12 hours. Luggage arrived quickly making a dash to catch the 11.15pm train possible. We arrived at the station with the train pulling in. However we hadn’t had a chance to purchase tickets and with the machine caught in a loop, the train stopping for less than a minute and the guard less than helpful with advice we had to let it go. The only tip he gave us was not to buy the tickets on train as they were €50 more expensive that way (sounds to me like a euphemism for fine). Gave up on the train, taxis €60 (A$100) so not prepared to pay that. Instead we waited and caught the bus whose ticket machine also wasn’t working. No machine =no pay. Suited us. Took 45 minutes to get to TriesTe central station but enjoyed talking to a young helpful Slovenian man who had lived in Sydney for 3 months and a young Romanian woman who works as a purser on one of the small cruise boats that was hit by the big liner in Venice recently. Fortunately for her she was on leave at the time.
Grateful that Chris had booked our hotel not 5 minutes walk from Central Station. To top it all off our room stunk off cigarette smoke and the window shutters refused to open. Night manager couldn’t open them either so a quick move into neighbouring room which proved to be far nicer. Needless to say both knackered. Hope the travel Gods go gently on us tomorrow.

Sin City
We’ve all noticed the lingering stare of a pervert.
On the high street when you’re shopping for Christmas presents or in the cinema when you’re watching the late night showing of Toy Story on your own again. But imagine you’re in a city full of them. Tight polyester trousers with flared bottoms, beer bellys flowing over the top of cheap plastic belts, topped off with a nice scruffy pair of Reeboks from the late 90s. But enough about my dad, this is the story of our latest adventure west.
Tumblr media
A savory couple in a far from savory place
I always thought Vegas was a debauched place. That’s where it gets the nickname - Naughty Little Town for Naughty People. Prostitution and weed are both legal, but somehow in a much less savoury way than Amsterdam. With all that being said, we could never have known that the most morally reprehensible act we would witness would take place on the connecting flight from Chicago to Vegas.
Some of the most exciting parts of a holiday go on in the walkway of the airplane. Thoughts flood your mind: ‘Where will we be sitting?’ ‘What are my chances of survival if this thing goes down?’ ‘Who will the “third” person be?’ ‘Hopefully, there isn’t a “third” person!’ ‘Oh God, this things coming down, I’ve had a premonition. I need to warn everybody else on board.’ ‘No, don’t ruin it. It’s fine. You’re being stupid.’ ‘Oh, Jesus Christ! I just signed our death warrant.’ ‘I wonder if they have a TV?!’ etc.
Shelby and I took our spots next to the "third" person in the window seat, who we immediately disliked just for existing in a space near us, and opened our books: Shelby was reading an interesting book about the Appalachian area of America and taking on a challenging Sudoku puzzle. I was reading a different kind of book, still just as challenging though, the instructions on how to work the TV.
After the internal struggle of whether it’s okay to ignore the air stewardesses safety announcements, the passengers settled into the flight. The aircraft was not quite Wright Brothers old, but it was missing the mod cons of a transatlantic flight, like being able to choose an individual movie. However, it did have DirectTV channels. Shelby and I stuck on the Oscar nominated Can You Ever Forgive Me?.
I glanced over at the "third" person's film choice. I couldn't recognise the show, but the vibrant colours and teenage actors led me to believe it was some sort of kid's show. I looked at the man. No, it wasn't a large child traveling alone. It was definitely a man - a man wearing a tight t shirt that accentuated his man breast. I poked Shelby, she grunted her usual response:
"What the fuck do you want, fuckwit?"
She said, in a loving way though.
“What show is that?”
She glanced across at his screen.
"i-Carly"
"No, you Shelby. Now, what show is that?"
"It's called i-Carly. Now will you shut the fuck up?"
Bit weird.  Maybe he just put it on by mistake. Probably not watching it.
Fast forward three hours, I-Carly is still on his TV. And the man is inches from the screen. I looked at him intently. Does he not know we can see him? He's not in some sort of invisible perv’ chamber, although I'm sure those exist somewhere in Vegas.
I looked down to make sure nothing dodgy is...  Unfortunately, the man was definitely touching himself. Now, I'll give him a bit of credit. His hand was outside the trousers, but that only made it slightly better. Suddenly, it dawned on me - Shelby was in the middle. I wasn’t worried about her, per say. He was clearly into much younger people, but she might accidentally be hit with his flailing elbow or something. She looked across at him then up and me and mouthed,
"What do we do?"
For the last thirty minutes I tried my hardest to put the man off. I gazed out the window and loudly said a range of off-putting phrases:
"Wow! Look at that skyline," "Can't believe we're flying in the sky right now!" "Do you know why they stopped serving peanuts on flights? What about the people allergic to pretzels? Nobody ever thought of them!"
If that lot didn’t put him off, nothing would.
As we walked from the airplane into Vegas airport, we discussed what we should do. I was going to confront him, and say what? Don't do that sort of thing, you sick freak. I was going to grab him by the scruff of the neck, shake him and say,
“That's digusting, you sweaty little cretin!”
I was going to be the hero and stop all bad things happening forever everywhere... I... I... I picked up our bags and we got in a cab to Caesar’s Palace.
The taxi from the airport into Vegas took us adjacent to the strip. Huge replica buildings designed to look like other things. It’s all smoke and mirrors, a mirage in the middle of the dessert like the magic shows that run every night of the week. After taking a detour we didn’t ask for and racking up a huge bill, we arrived at Caesar’s Palace.
Tumblr media
Anybody fancy a crap? (That’s not my dad, but a man in a shirt)
We walked through the modern building designed to look like the Colosseum - a gaudy Rome rip off - and bumped into our own ancient relics in the form of my parents. We hugged. They were here again, but their bags weren’t.
That night, we had a quick go on the slot machines, or as cool locals call them, ‘the slotties’ (and lost a bit of money). My dad became slightly enamoured with the virtual blackjack game, and then we all headed to bed to recuperate for the next day. The city may never sleep, but we were certainly going to.
The next morning, we looked out through our curtains at the view of the famous Belagio Hotel’s dancing fountain show, the Eiffel Tower, and a giant poster of Donnie Osmond. We had a fat breakfast, then walked down the strip.
Along the way, we ducked into a casino for a cheeky lil dabble. Dad spotted the virtual blackjack, and I saw his eyes light up. He was straight on it. We watched eagerly with anticipation as he turned his $20 into $5 and then into $25 and then into $15 and then he cashed out. With his cashed out voucher, I jumped onto a huge slot machine that I had no idea as to the workings. I hit a few buttons, and it flashed on the screen “Extreme!”. The lights started strobing and the lines span like the slick tires on a Ford Escort. My cash started building along with my adrenalin..  15-20-25... It kept going up and up and stopped, eventually, at $85. I took the money out and left the casino $85 richer because I didn’t give my dad his investment back.
What a start! Maybe I was a natural. Next stop, World Poker Tournament, but first, the off license for a can of beer that I could legally drink on the high street. It was like being back in Worcester on a Tuesday morning, I mean Wednesday afternoon, I mean Saturday evening.
The strip was packed with hen-dos, lad’s holidays, and waddling families who wanted a change from Disney. Me and my dad walked passed a man selling his hip-hop CD. I declined.
“Forget you then in your Bill Cosby sweater,” he said and laughed.
This drove me to grab another beer from a CVS. Inside, the cashier said,
“What a lovely sweater!”
Tumblr media
Me and dad-livin’ it large Vegas
As you can imagine, I had very mixed emotions on the jumper and have not worn it since.
Shelby and mom stormed ahead up the strip, leaving me and dad to be awkwardly approached by dancing girls requesting a photo with us. It’s as if we looked like a couple of creepy blokes or something. We walked next to a bar where a man was strapped to a wooden chair and being forced to drink a strange green liquid by a woman in her underwear. Normally, this might be cause for alerting the authorities, but not in Vegas.
A group on a stag do walked passed us and my dad turned to me,
“Did you see that shirt? I need to get one of those!”
I had to tell him that it said “VAGITARIAN” not “VEGETARIAN”.  He didn’t want one anymore.
After walking the equivalent of a half marathon up and down the strip, Shelby wanted us to recuperate at one of the West’s staple restaurants, In and Out Burger - a place known for juicy hamburgers. We’d heard that they also had veggie burgers for the three of us who don’t eat the carcasses of dead animals.
Our number came up and we sat down at a table that had just been vacated. The remnants of ravenous tub tubs lay around and an In and Out employee was kind enough to offer to clean it up for us. She picked up a tray with the remains of a sweaty burger on it. In slow motion, the burger, wrapper, and discarded sauce tumbled off the tray and down, down, down, onto my dad’s cream trousers, the only pair he had as his bag was currently somewhere in Uzbekistan.
Tumblr media
Turned a corner in Nevada to see the New York Skyline (and a rollercoaster)
This hilarious event only slightly made up for the fact that the veggie burger was two pieces of lettuce and a tomato between a couple of soggy bits of bun. As the name suggests, we were in and out of there real quick.
The next day we went to Fremont Street, the second most famous street in Vegas after the strip. A biting wind whipped through the dimly lit passageway lined with souvenir stores, Irish bars and strip clubs. Grubby looking men stood along the street staring wildly at the tourists passing by. They held cardboard signs that read quite witty things like “I’ll look after your wife while you gamble” and some less witty - “Horny!”.
A woman danced on a huge stage with barely any clothes on while a bunch of homeless people rocked back and forwards in front of her, totally unaware, it seemed, that she was there. An abandoned car with red flashing lights moaned and groaned as a zombie popped out the top. In fairness, it was advertising a local Walking Dead Exhibit, but I wouldn’t have been that surprised if it was actually happening on this street.
Having survived Fremont Street, I decided another dabble was in order (I was continually having these dabbles the whole time, but I’m only going to tell you about the times I won). I selected my machine, one without a chair that looked very old, and put in my note. The machine started to freak out and I knew I was onto another winner - $160 coughed up this time. I was a genius. A genius I tell you and definitely did not spend all that money very quickly in other machines. Ahem.
Join me next time as I recount the next stage of the adventure, our journey to the grandest canyon of them all and beyond to the red rocks of Sedona, Arizona.

Car Hire Girona Airport
Car Hire Girona Airport
Enterprise's Brad and Dave show how you get UK car hire with US customer service. We inquired several times and finally (around noon) decided that JB rent-a-car had breached the contract and we demanded restitution of our money. After air travel, choosing an airport rental car service makes for a convenient and stress-free way to get you on the road as soon as possible. And rental is based on the age and type of model of taxi leased. Wherever you decide to go, you'll find we're based at more than 1,300 locations in 99 countries worldwide - you can rent a car at the airport when you land, or just visit us downtown for quick and easy car rental. You no longer have to depend on a taxi or other transport system but can have a car of your choice to move around as and when you like to. It is not just for people who are visiting Dubai but even the locals can also best rent a car Dubai if they cannot access their own car due to any reason.
In fact, you can even consider getting luxury car hire services for your grand Holiday. First I asked at the airport about their vehicle fleet because I know that airports all around the town started to offer a car service. It's a car rental company that provides customers with peer to peer car rental services. Free to book, modify and cancel: Unlike other car rental comparison sites, we don't charge najam vozila sa vozacem any fee for booking with us and for modifying or cancelling your reservation. AND - thanks for he tip about rental cars at DEN. Our global locations offer a selection of cars to suit a wide range of needs, from city run-arounds to family saloons and people carriers. It connected with respected travel companies like Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz, others including other offline travel agencies.
By selecting the size of a car, we can make the family vacation to be more comfortable: for example, an estate car is more ideal that time, since all the luggage and even the baby stroller or other bigger stuff shall be packed in the vehicle. It's unnecessary that one may get you a car hire to visit the town just in the airport. Founded in 1914, Sixt's goal in retiring rental cars from its fleet has always been to create the best overall used car buying experience. Green Motion Milano Malpensa Airport offers their rental customers the opportunity to reduce their excess by purchasing one of our excess reduction packages. Whether you need transport for employees, have seasonal rental demands, or need an alternative to pool cars, we can develop a flexible programme that's right for you.
In any case, the lessees' maximum liability will always be the vehicle's market value, according to the maximum price established in the Ganvam (Spanish Association of Car Dealers) guide in force at the time of the accident. If the rented vehicle is taken over - and the rental agreement has remained in the vehicle - a copy of the original agreement can be asked for during the opening hours, indicated on the website. Brisbane Airport is well connected to the city's public transport network, but often hiring a car works out cheaper. We also offer a wide variety of insurance options, including roadside protection, third party cover, personal accident protection and much more to ensure that you drive away from our Nice airport branch with peace of mind. Forget Europcar Hire and Budget Car Rental, Thrifty Car Rental and Hertz Car Hire, or Avis with their big prices.
Rule 2(l)(B) of Cenvat Credit Rules 2004 excludes from the definition of input services - Services provided by way of renting of a motor vehicle, in so far as they relate to a motor vehicle which is not a capital goods. Additional features: After you consider the services made available, you are certain to get more comprehensive features along with amenities than you get with a motor vehicle rental service that's located far from the airport when you stick to offsite companies. Car rent a car beograd hire at Rome Fiumicino Airport is made easy with Europcar. This means you can pick up your car from the airport but also reach us at our Reykjavik office if you have a problem with your car hire. Hire a car at Wellington Airport with Omega, and you can relax knowing that your very own set of wheels is locked in and ready to go. It's fast and easy to do everything online: use our quote generator, navigate the search process and pick the vehicle that suits you and your travel plans.
I think $2.50 per day of use would be fine, but not for EVERY day of the rental regardless of whether the service was used or not. Our Auckland Airport branch is located outside the airport terminal so we save on cost, and that means we can pass those savings on to you the customer on your car hire from Auckland Airport. Similarly, people aged 70+ may find some companies will charge a Senior Driver Fee, or may not rent to them at all. Whatever your travel plans, you'll need to hire a car that's up to the job. You have stumbled across this page because you were searching for information on rental cars in Manila, or possibly wanted to check out the credibility of JB Rent A Car , one of the most visible rental car companies when searching on Google. Splendid automobiles: Transfer Company always offer very latest and branded type of vehicles which is equipped with classic leather seats , latest navigation and alarming system for safe and secure drive at your destiny.

It can help associate the local and international travel agencies to encourage the travelers to rent a car bez depozita use their cars, giving them to increase their transaction, profitability, publicity and etc. Only in T2 "Car Rental Center" excepted for Sixt Card Holders, who will be served at our desk in terminal 1. You can proceed to the "Car Rental Center" outside the terminal building. ACE Rent A Car offers free and fast airport pickup for car and van rentals at Miami International Airport (MIA).
