Hi everyone! I bought this polish last December and have been saving it for October ever since. It feels good to finally have it on my nails after all these months! It’s a burnt orange color that is the epitome of autumn. You’ll *fall* in love with it like I did!

The name of the color is It’s a Piazza Cake, and it was released within OPI’s Venice Collection from Fall/Winter 2015. Before I started painting, I noticed that the bottle had a lot of bubbles in it, so I could tell the formula was going to be thin. I was expecting a messy application, but it was much easier than I thought it would be. The brush seemed to be a little wider than usual, which I actually prefer. It went on smoothly and it self-leveled nicely with a shiny finish. I didn’t even have to do any cleanup around the edges when I was done! It’s such a pleasant surprise when that happens because it’s so rare, for me anyway. It was almost completely opaque with one coat, but I did have some visible nail lines, so two coats look a lot better.

This is the perfect color to wear in October and November. It reminds me of leaves, pumpkins, and the mums on my front porch (pictured above). It looks very close to Suzi Needs a Loch-Smith from their Fall 2019 Scotland Collection, which I gave to one of my sisters for Christmas last year, so I’d like to borrow it from her and compare them sometime. Maybe I’ll convince her to let me wear it for Thanksgiving!

I was planning on painting my nails and toenails today. I had been debating colors for a few days. Because of this, I had the bottles sitting on my dresser all nice and lined up and waiting.

I also have been working on healing up a cut on my knee. Well, not a cut. I have an allergy to adhesive tape. I use the paper tape but sometimes it doesn't make a difference.  I react anyway. Sometimes I swell up like up a Macy's Day parade Float.

The reason I was using the tape that gave me the cut, was my legs. I'd been having shaving issues and have been plucking because shaving just wasn't working. Plucking wasn't  a good reason for the problems that I never thought of. Meanwhile, to heal the self-inflicted damage I put antibiotic creams on my legs and wrapped them with underwrap, a soft bandage. I had tape at the top to keep the bandages from rolling down.  When I removed the bandages, the skin came with it. Several layers of it, in fact, I think I saw, well not bone, but it was deep.

Well today when I sat down to eat my lunch there were about two paper towels left on the roll. I figured I may as well take it with me while doing my nails, maybe it would come in handy.

I was changing my bandages and then I was going to do my nails. I put the bandage stuff down on my dresser and it fell into the nail polish and knocked it over.

The most interesting bit? Is how the bottle broke. First, OPI is my brand. I have used others, but OPI is preferred. I have had some of those other brands break but never an OPI bottle before.

TBF, it did fall on the floor from about 4 feet. But it didn't shatter or break in a normal way. It cracked the top off. It's weird. What's weirder? I had the exact amount of paper towels I needed to clean it up.

*Note: Color on Bottle is Greece Blue Me Away Internet says Grrece collection from OPI was in 2004. I guess the bottle is just old, 20 Years old. Damn, that is ancient! I'd crack if I were that old too!
