His Secret Admirer - Neteyam x fem naâvi reader
part two | part three | part four |bonus chapter
wc: 6.7k
a/n: Welcome to my Neteyam X reader series! This first part is kind of a slow burn to establish the plot so there is not much action as I hate when things are rushed. But it is cute and a bit fluffy đ€ The events of The Way of Water never happened in this series, so this is based in the forest. Enjoy!
Neteyam is 19, reader is 18 in this series.
contains: slight fluff, as little use of y/n as possible, very minor mention of đȘŠ (one time)
For as long as you could remember, you had the biggest crush on Neteyam Sully.
You couldnât help it. He was the sweetest man in the entire clan and he acted much differently from the others. Never cocky, never boastful. It made your heart skip a beat just thinking about how he had always unapologetically been him - a genuine sweetheart and over protective from the start.
The two of you were not strangers, in fact, his presence was quite familiar to you. Throughout your younger years he would protect you from the harsh words of the other kids after witnessing you being bullied the first time. Upon finding out you spent most of your time alone and had no friends, he invited you to hang around him and his siblings with a promise of belonging. You hadnât realized what an honor that was until you got older.
His brother and sister, Loâak and Kiri, quickly took a liking to you and became the friends you never had. But unfortunately for you and Neteyam, the progression of your story was cut short. As the years passed his schedule became bombarded with training duties, leaving him busy basically 24/7 and eventually causing your friendship to become less of a priority. You were hurt, but you had to understand it wasnât personal. Once he got to a certain age, his parents allowed him to have fun and hang out with kids his age less and less; giving him constant reminders of the shoes he would grow to fill. Apparently, he had to spend every living and breathing moment training for a position you werenât even sure he actually wanted.
Growing up, your mother told you that crushes were very simple and lighthearted. Something that was meant to make your heart flutter and your cheeks rosy. But having a crush on Neteyam was actually the exact opposite. This was Jake Sullyâs son we were talking about. Girls fawned over him everyday, rightfully so. But watching them trail closely behind him as if he were metal and them magnets made your heart pang with jealousy. You knew you would never have a chance, and even if you did, there were probably so many other girls above you on the imaginary list that already had his attention. He would surely never make it down to your name once it came time for him to choose a mate.
Loving him was like yearning for something you didnât even know existed. It was like opening your mouth to speak but remembering you didnât have a voice to use. You werenât a hunter or a healer, you couldnât sing and you most definitely were not the beauty queen of the clan. You werenât anything special, so how could you ever think you had a chance to call him yours?
âNete-yammmâ A gorgeous, tall naâvi giggled with a sing song tone, reaching out to caress any area of his body that didnât already have a three fingered hand touching it. You cringed at the sound of her voice. That was Eyiti, the daughter of an amazing healer in your clan and probably first on his list to be his Tsahik. You absolutely loathed her, the way her eyelashes batted in his direction and how her stride became flirtatious when he was around to make the long braid that covered her queue sway side to side.
You definitely had your reasons for disliking her, one of them being that when you all were younger she had purposely tripped you and caused you to faceplant in the mud right in front of Neteyam. He had so much faith in everyone that he hadnât even seen her foot conveniently stick out in front of you when you excitedly walked towards him. Before he could reach an arm out to help you up his dad had whisked him away, reminding him he had responsibilities he needed to tend to and at this point girls were the least of his worries.
âIs there anything we can do for you? Do you need your hair re-braided? A massage maybe?â The group asked, snapping you out of your bitter flashback when multiple different voices chirped, taking turns to offer him favors. You watched them swarm around him like vultures, his eyes searching for a way out of the circle.
âYes, perhaps a massage! Your muscles must be sooo sore from your hunt yesterday.â Yet another voice chimed in, she literally looked like she wanted to eat the flesh off his bones and you rolled your eyes in annoyance. Why couldnât they just leave him alone?
âNeteyam! Are you hungry? I can make something good for you to eat. You need all the energy you can get for your training later, right?â
âNo!â Another naâvi woman hissed, latching onto one of his toned arms and hugging it. She almost knocked him over with the force that came from her launching herself at him. You watched him stumble to the side a bit, his stance awkward and stiff as his cheeks flushed due to all the overwhelming attention. Jeez, was she trying to hug his arm or rip it off his body to take it home with her?  You didnât know but honestly you wouldnât be surprised if that was her intention, these women were insane. They looked like little girls fighting over a doll with the way they were pulling him back and forth by his biceps.
âGirls, pleaseâ He spoke softly and forced a smile on his face in attempt to not hurt their feelings, or worse; make them more hostile than they already were. âI am okay, really. I do not need any of you to do anything for me other than enjoy your day. You all areâŠâ he paused before continuing, âvery beautiful and nice women but I truly must be going, I cannot be late for my meeting with my father.â
The mention of a discussion of the future with his father earned many dreamy sounding sighs from his personal fan club.
Your face grew hot when you noticed his eyes look up at you, seemingly begging for help with an almost panicked smile on his face. You pressed your lips together to stifle your laugh, then raised your hands in surrender on either side of your head to silently communicate to him that he was indeed on his own with this. You knew heâd be alright seeing as he dealt with this almost daily, but you also knew he was growing tired of it. Poor Neteyam was too nice to hurt their feelings, but even if you tried to help him what could you do? Theyâd probably tear you apart if you walked up and attempted to steal him away from their grasp. You sure as hell werenât going to draw attention to yourself by intervening.
Thankfully for him, you heard Neytiriâs sharp voice yell his name from a different direction, causing the girls around him to jump and straighten up in fear of our Tsahik witnessing them behave in such a shameful manner. And from the sound of his motherâs voice- he was definitely late for that meeting. His ears perked up in alert but the expression on his face only showed relief due to her timely save.
âGotta go girls!â He exclaimed with haste, sounding more excited now than he had their entire interaction. You sighed to yourself and gave him a subtle wave with a gentle smile, watching him take the extra second he didnât have to smile back at you before he slipped through the small crowd and damn near sprinted to safety.
Your smile grew bigger as you watched him escape, soaking in the way his eyes had previously just held contact with yours for longer than they needed to. A daydream would have washed over you had you not felt the glares of his desperate admirers trying to burn holes through your head. You cleared your throat to break the awkward silence and swiftly turned on your heels, realizing it probably wasnât the best idea to continue standing there if you valued your life.
~ a few hours later ~
Eclipse had now envelloped a previously sunny day, stealing the sky away and taking the sunâs place for the rest of the night. You sat with your mom on the floor of your hut, just having finished a wonderfully made dinner. âMama, would you like help with the dishes?â You knew better than to excuse yourself before offering your assistance.
âNo no, child. Go on, I know you want to take as much time as you possibly can before it gets late.â She smiled up at you and shooed you out with her hand, the wrinkles creased next to her eyes served in reminding you of how grateful you were to have had your mother by your side all these years.
âYes mama, thank you.â Nodding your head, you at least stacked the dishes into each other to help as much as you could before you thanked her, quickly standing up from where the two of you were kneeling on the floor.
Your mother quietly laughed to herself at your excitement as you skipped to the doorway, surprised at how you didnât trip over your own two feet as you gathered your things. You pushed through the curtains that served as a doorway to your home and once stepping foot outside, you felt your lungs expand to take a deep inhale and breathe in the crisp night air.
Almost everyday after dinner, you would excuse yourself with the permission of your mother and embark on a stroll through the forest. At first, she wouldnât allow you to go more than half a mile without her. Her fears derived from the fact that you were no hunter and you did not like to carry weapons, meaning you could not protect yourself if the time called for it. But upon realizing you had a deep connection with the animals of the forest (and came back unscathed every time) her rules relaxed and her trust in you flourished. Even the Palulukan paid you no mind - you would still bring small chunks of meat with you though, just in case.
You expertly leaped from tree to tree with little to no time between. After taking the same path day by day it was muscle memory by now. You used the ball of your foot to stabilize your landing on the thick branches after each jump, and your opposite leg carried you to the next. This was your favorite part of everyday, traveling through the breathtaking forest with your own two legs and being able to really appreciate the vast land you called home. The way the rough, damp tree bark felt against your toes; the small chirps and mating calls of animals below you that filled your ears. You much preferred it to flying on an Ikran; they were loud and would scare away the small animals of the forest before you could say hello.
Before you knew it, you had reached your quiet hideaway above the waterfalls. A sigh of relief left your lips as you leisurely made your way up onto the bank of the cliffside; the ground illuminating briefly in the spots where you had stepped. Careful to not crush the flowers that had just recently bloomed, you crouched down closer to the ground to collect one of the things you came for. Pulling the bag you had brought with from behind your body, you patiently searched through the vegetation until locating one of your motherâs favorite herbs for stews, and another for salves.
That was the deal the two of you had made. If you were going to be out exploring the forest without her, you might as well make yourself useful and and collect whatâs needed for the house. You didnât mind though, your mother was getting older and you would do anything to make her job easier. Your father had died during the battle with the sky people almost twenty years ago and was one of many casualties. He was gone before your mother even had the chance to tell him she was pregnant. Every time you expressed sadness about it, she would hug you and remind you that he died with honor; fighting along side his people and protecting what was left of home tree. She gave birth nine months after his passing and raised you alone. She was offered help from the village, but did not want to accept pity. âWe are all struggling from the aftermath of this war, not just I.â She would humbly say. She truly was the strongest person you knew.
After gathering a good amount, you gently reclined and rested against the large tree trunk that had been supporting your back for a couple weeks now. Closing your eyes, you let the sounds of the water crashing into the rocks below invite you into a calm, lucid state - the beat of your heart slowing to a steady rhythm as you lay in nature.
The serene forest awarded you with its peaceful lullaby for about fifteen minutes before the crunch of a twig snapping interrupted your meditation. You gasped quietly, whipping your head around in alert, your eyes straining to try and see through the trees. Not many animals came this high up into the forest, mostly birds or the Syaksyuk (night lemurs) swinging through the trees above. But these steps sounded heavy and that made your ears lower with worry.
âWhoâs there!â You called out, rising to your feet with your hands prepped on your bag to secure your motherâs herbs in case you had to make a run for it. You squinted your eyes at the darkness in confusion, the sounds of the leaves crunching were not frequent enough to be the result of multiple feet.
âOw! Damnit,â You heard a familiar voice curse, your ears perking back up when a tall naâvi with long braids emerged into your view.
âNeteyam?â Â
He whipped his head up to look at you, his braids swaying to the other side of his head in sync with him. â[Y/n]?â He questioned right back at you. âWhat are you doing here? Itâs late, you know.â He warned, brushing off his shoulder and looking around.  âAre you alone?â
Still confused by his sudden appearance, you shook your head slightly. âI come here almost every night, and yes Iâm⊠alone,â you spoke, your voice quieting with the last word that left your lips as you looked at him in bewilderment. Your eyes traveled from every inch of his body and you found yourself gawking at how he looked even more beautiful while under the moonlight. Your attention quickly averted when his gaze found its way back to you, raising your head and stabilizing your tone. âForget about me, what are you doing here?â
He noticed you staring but decided against addressing it. He chuckled and shook his head, âI too come here often,, but only during the day. The forest is very dangerous outside of our village at night, [Y/n].â He said softly and took a step closer. It almost looked as if he were worried about you.
âYes, I-â You felt the urge to take one backwards but your feet stayed planted in the grass, your brain reminding you that youâre literally standing on a cliff right now. âIâm aware of the dangers,â you continued. âBut the animals donât pay me any mind, I actually think they sort of like me. And I always bring scraps of food, just in case.â
He nodded, seemingly approving your method of preparation.
âI donât have anymore, though. The forest is a bit quiet tonight so I gave it all to a Palulukan I saw a little ways back.â
Neteyamâs eyes almost popped out of his head as he took a step closer to you once more, in an attempt to make sure the words he heard were correct. âA- a Palulukan?â He questioned, âLike, those six-legged creatures that will tear your head off without thinking? Are you feeling alright?â His face washed over with genuine concern as he brought a three fingered hand up to feel your forehead.
âYes, Neteyam.â You giggled at his astonishment.  âI know what a Palulukan is, you skxawng.â You teased with an eyeroll and gently shooed his hand away, speaking up again to extinguish his worries. âBut really, Iâm fine. See?â You nodded slowly, extending your arms out to him to show your lack of injury.
âHuh, no scratchesâŠâ His eyes trailed along your smooth skin and you felt goosebumps prickle down your arms. You hadnât remembered it being chilly tonight.
âNo scratches,â you parroted, turning your back to him and returning to your previous resting area. âCome, sit with me.â
The corners of Neteyamâs mouth moved to form a small grin and he nodded his head in silent agreeance, taking you up on your invitation and sitting down next to you. He mimicked your movement, scooting back to relax against the base of the tree. A loud sigh of genuine relief could be heard from him and to you it sounded like he had been holding it in all day. You had your attention focused on the soft blades of grass that tickled your legs, suddenly tilting your head to the side with a new found query.
âWait,â You started, earning a curious hum from him that permitted you to continue. âI thought you said you come here during the day time? Correct me if Iâm wrong but, it looks pretty dark out here right now.â You joked.
Neteyam was always so lighthearted and easy going, so your eyebrows furrowed at him when he continued to stare straight forward at the waterfall across the ravine. You had expected him to laugh or at least crack a smile like he always did at one of your jokes, but he looked conflicted when he answered. âI just⊠I had to get away from my parents for a little while. Theyâre driving me crazy.â He grumbled.
Oh my Eywa, Iâm such an idiot. This is the first time in years weâve been completely alone and Iâve already soured his mood.
âIâm sorry, I didnât mean to-â
âNo,â He interrupted, turning his head to look at you with a smile that instantly calmed your nerves. âDonât feel bad, it is not your fault⊠Besides, Iâm glad I came when I did. Had I gone earlier, I wouldnât have gotten to see you.â His voice laced thick with his accent, you felt your stomach swarm with butterflies at the feeling of his large hand now resting atop yours.  His warm yellow eyes glistened, looking even more beautiful to you than the stars above your heads. Your lips parted slightly while the two of you sat there appreciating each otherâs presence, his smile growing wider when he cocked his head to the side at the apparent loss of your train of thought.
Your eyes fell from his and focused themselves on your overlapped hands so you could blush in peace, earning a quiet snicker and a head shake from him. âYes...â you finally responded, looking back up once you confirmed your heart wouldnât explode and ruin the moment. âIt has been a while since we hung-out.â You smiled, your tone mellow.
The two of you sat with each other for a while. Time passed so quickly whenever you were around him that you didnât even know how long it had been. You talked about everything. His parents, how your mother was doing, and overall what heâd been up to. There was never a boring moment with Neteyam. At one point you expressed interest in his training, but the excitement was not reciprocated so you dropped the topic and instead joined in stargazing with him.
âSo⊠How was that meeting you had earlier, with your parents?â You cleared your throat and spoke up after a bit, breaking the silence.
He scoffed and scratched his head lightly, throwing his arm up in an annoyed gesture. âStupid and unnecessary. They tell me the same thing everyday as if I donât already know.â
âWhat is it now? Are they scolding you for Loâakâs antics again?â You giggled at his aggravated huff in response to your question, using this moment to your advantage and gently resting your head on his shoulder. You genuinely thought it would be something along those lines. But when he hesitated before letting you in on exactly what they were pestering him about, you became worried.
âThey want me to find a mate. Soon.â
His shoulders tensed and you blinked in disbelief at his words, your body slouching slightly against his arm with disappointment. The words that left his lips were not at all what you had been expecting. âOhâŠâ Your voice was almost a whisper with how hushed it was and you were glad he couldnât see your face right now. A thousand thoughts clouded your brain at once, were they due to surprise at what he said, or fear?
âIâm not ready.â His voice snapped you out of your pity party, and you remembered that this wasnât about you. It was about him. You had to set aside your feelings and hear him out. You guys were just friends anyway, and what else are friends for, right?
You laughed dryly, cringing after at how forced it sounded. âI think youâre just nervous, Neteyam. Besides, you have loads of options to choose from. Any one of your admirers from earlier will do fine.â You shrugged and tried to sound as encouraging as possible, picking the petals from a flower that you had taken into your grasp after you removed your hand from his.
âNone of those women will ever be my mate.â He stated sternly, as if he sounded offended that you had even suggested it. His voice was calm and the volume low, but the tone he said it in made your breath falter. âThose are not the kind of women I want. They only see me for my status in the clan.â He mumbled, his feelings sounding hurt.
You sat up and turned your body towards him, dipping your head to try and meet his avoidant eyes. ââTeyamâŠâ you said solemnly. He still hadnât met your eyes but his ears perked up slightly in response to the old nickname you had for him. Watching him pick blades of grass out of the ground to distract himself from the conversation, you sighed to yourself in frustration. Not at him, but at the fact that the constant reiteration of the importance of his training throughout the years really had him thinking such a thing. âLook at me.â
His head lifted slowly but his eyes wouldnât stay on your face. He gnawed at the inside of his bottom lip, feeling embarrassed for even bringing it up.
âYou-â grabbing his hand in both of yours, you shook it slightly for emphasis and squeezed firmly, â-are so much more than a title, and you know that. You are worth so much more. Do you hear me, Neteyam?â Your gaze held strong and your shyness had no control over you at this point. You wanted to make sure he understood what you were saying. You wanted to make sure he knew you were telling the truth. You needed him to.
His eyes finally locked on yours and it was his turn to feel shy this time. A small smile broke through his previous frown, and his eyes fell to your lips for a split second before he looked back up at you. âOkay.â He answered, sounding satisfied with your reassurance and stroking the back of your hand with the pad of his thumb as a thank you.
The air between the two of you felt electric when you remembered you were still holding his hand. Your chest began to rise and fall with weighted breaths when you noticed he seemed to be admiring your features. You cursed yourself for wondering what it would feel like to kiss him- thinking about how well your lips would pair with his. Your intense feelings for him had calmed slightly due to his absence, but now you felt them bubbling up and threatening to burst through the surface all over again.
A loud horn sounded suddenly, interrupting your thoughts and signaling the end of a day. The both of you jumped and your hands retracted, startled out of your intimate interaction.
âOh my Eywa⊠I was supposed to be home almost an hour ago!â You exclaimed, sounding panicked as you rushed to grab your things.
Neteyamâs eyes widened and he immediately stood up, looking equally as panicked upon remembering what happened the last time he got you home late to your mother when you guys were younger.
âI-Iâm sorry, this is all my fault. I distracted you.â Rubbing the back of his neck with his hand, he eagerly extended his free one out to help you up while sounding apologetic. âCome, Iâll take you home.â
You accepted his offer and allowed him to assist you to your feet, shaking your head repeatedly as you stood in front of him. âNo, no. This is on me, I completely lost track of time.â
Though it wasnât his fault you had stayed out much too late into the night, he was right about one thing. He was able to distract you so easily, you became clumsy in his presence. You mindlessly took a wrong step to the side, crying out in pain when your foot came in contact with the thorn bush you usually remember to avoid- itâs sharp and thick thorns piercing through your skin.
âWhat? What is it? What happened?â Neteyam questioned frantically, his voice loud and riddled with worry when you yelled and helplessly clutched onto his biceps for support.
Pain shot like lightning through your leg and with your eyes tightly shut you hissed out an answer. âM-my foot, I-â you managed to get out between sharp inhales, another cry of pain interrupting your sentence when you attempted to lower your foot to see if you could walk.
âNo!â Neteyam spoke against your movement, sighing when his advice came too late. âYou cannot walk like this, hold onto me and keep your foot raised.â
Now, if it didnât feel like your entire leg was on fire, you probably wouldâve crumbled at the feeling of his warm hand sliding between the fold behind your knee and lifting it slightly to assist you with his instructions.  The two of you were in such a compromising position, yet you couldnât even enjoy it.
âMaybe we should sit down-â
You hopped a bit and shook your head, sliding your arms around his neck to reduce the weight burdened on your free leg as he held your thigh. âThe thorns, theyâre poisonous,â you breathed out. âI have to get home.â
âPoi-â His mouth fell open in shock, almost repeating the word that had alarmed him. His jaw clenched seeing you in pain, he felt bad knowing he wasnât able to help. âCan you fly? Call your ikran, now.â
âI canât-â
âHow foolish of me, you probably cannot fly. We will go on mine.â Before you could get another word out he raised his pointer finger and thumb to his lips with haste, resulting in a crisp, loud whistle.
The truth is⊠you couldnât fly even if you wanted to. You never tamed an Ikran of your own and you were deathly afraid of flying. Because of this, you traveled solely by foot and had no intention of changing that. Until now.
You squealed in fear when his Ikran dropped down onto the cliffside in an instant, turning and shielding your face from its sharp, flapping wings. âNeteyam-â
âCome, we must go. Thereâs no time.â He urged, his eyes locked on your trembling foot as he waited for you to move.
âWait!â you raised your voice, only to get his attention. âIâm⊠Iâm scared of flying. Terrified.â You gulped, now looking at the giant creature but careful to not make direct eye contact.
âYou are?â His voice was soft, intent on not making you feel bad for something you couldnât control. He looked conflicted. Neteyam was never the type of man to make you do something you didnât want to do, but he truly had no choice.  â[Y/n], I am sorry, but we must. We need to tend to your wound as soon as possible. I understand your fear, so I will tell her to fly slow. No sharp tuns or dips, yes?â
Closing your eyes for a second, you sighed and slowly nodded your head. You attempted to calm yourself and slow your breathing as best as you could, knowing there was no other option but to face your fear. He waited for you to prepare yourself before swooping his arm below your legs and lifting you off the ground gently.
You actually wanted to kick yourself. To be in his arms was everything you wanted and more, minus the raging pain paired with numbness that was slowly starting to travel past your toes. You tightened your hold on his neck once arriving at the Ikranâs saddle and he felt your body tense against him.
âMawey, [Y/n]. It will be alright, I promise.â Delicately placing you down on the back of his Ikran, he motioned for you to swing your other leg over before climbing on in front of you. âHold here.â He reached behind him and grasped your hands, bringing them forward and positioning your palms  to lay flat on his toned chest.
Your heart was beating so fast, you were surprised you even heard his voice through the loud thumping ringing in your ears.
âYou feel my heart?â
âY-yes.â You nodded almost as soon as the question left his mouth. His heart was the only thing you could feel. Hell, you couldnât even feel your legs but you knew the numbing poison hadnât travelled through your bloodstream that fast. You prayed they would regain feeling so you wouldnât fall off this giant bird.
âSlow your breathing, listen to the beat of my heart and allow yours to do the same.â He instructed calmly, fastening his hands on the reigns.
You swallowed what felt like a giant lump in your throat, scooting closer to him and leaning forward to press your front against his back as he prepared to take off. The feeling of your skin against his was enough to make your breath shudder, but you really couldnât use anymore excitement right now. âWhat if I fall?â You whispered.
âNonsense,â He chuckled lowly and the vibration of his voice could be felt against your cheek. âYou know Iâd never let anything happen to you.â
You pulled back ever so slightly, your mouth agape and your eyes staring at the back of his head in disbelief at how easily those words came to him. However, your moment of pondering was cut short when he beckoned his Ikran to take off, your grip retightening and your body gluing back to his instantly. The large animal squawked before plunging itself off the cliff, resulting in a frightened scream from you.
âTamtam, Saya. We have a new rider with us, and sheâs a bit fearful.â  Pulling up slightly, he used one of his hands to softly pat her strong neck to soothe her. The animal listened to his demands, flying steadily and slowing her pace to a gentle glide through the air. âHow are you doing back there?â He asked, as if your nails digging crescent marks into his pecs couldnât give him the answer he searched for.
Finally opening your eyes, you carefully peeked over your shoulder and peered down at the forest below you, letting out a small gasp. Softening the grip you had on the man in front of you, your eyes twinkled with admiration. âNeteyam, i-itâs beautifulâŠâ you spoke in awe. You had never seen the forest from above until now and experiencing such a sight with him made you feel as if you had been missing out this entire time. You almost completely forgot about the fear that consumed you just a few minutes prior.
After a few more minutes, Saya began to descend in front of your home- pulling you out of the spell the beauty of the forest had cast on you. The flight came to a gradual halt and her wings flapped in place to cushion the landing as much as possible. You saw the flickering of candle flame illuminating from inside.
Oh no. Please donât be awake, please donât be awake, please do not be awake.
Silently cursing yourself, you removed your hands from Neteyamâs chest. You secretly pouted at the sudden lack of warmth, but right now you had bigger issues to tend to- one of them being facing your mother. Neteyam dismounted swiftly, giving you a reassuring look and allowing you time to slide one of your arms around his neck before lifting you off, carrying you bridal style. âNot so bad, huh?â
Both your heads snapped to the entrance of your home as you watched your mother run out before you could answer him. â[Y/N!]â She yelled, not caring if her voice carried to the other homes. âWhere have you been?!â
She looked worried sick, you felt terrible.
âNeteyam?â She questioned, obviously confused as to why he was with you- or maybe why you werenât standing on your own two feet.
âHi MaâŠâ You started, earning an angry glare from her. âI can explain.â
She whipped a hand up and closed her fingers, effectively silencing you as she turned her gaze back to Neteyam. âYoung man, what were you doing with my daughter, this late in the night?â Her voice was eerily calm.
He lowered his head slightly to show respect. âI am sorry, I will explain everything⊠but your daughter is injured and we must tend to it, immediately.â
Her expression changed instantly, her eyes searching to find a wound until she noticed your swollen foot. âOh my goodness⊠Come!â She demanded, urging Neteyam to bring you into the house.
âPlace her down, here. Gently.â
He did as he was told and crouched down, removing his arm from beneath your legs once you sat down completely. He ran his now sweaty hands along his thighs and with his mouth in the shape of an âOâ he exhaled nervously, standing and obediently placing himself against the wall. He looked scared shitless and was more than happy to remove his hands from your skin in the presence of your agitated mother. You looked up at him apologetically, mouthing a silent âIâm sorryâ.
You winced in pain at your throbbing foot, taking over for Neteyam and explaining to your mother what had happened before she could ask again. âI-I stepped in a thorn bush,â You paused, reluctantly continuing your sentence. âthe poisonous oneâŠâ
She hissed in distaste, her back to you as she gathered what was needed to make medicine. âEveryday you go out, what do I tell you?â She seethed.
âBe care-â
âTo be careful!â She cut you off before you could finish and you winced again, but not because of your foot. She lowered herself to the ground and propped your foot up on her leg to examine it. âYou are lucky, child. The thorns could have broken off in your foot and put you in much worse shape.â She grumbled, wetting a cloth and using it to clean the dried blood from your skin.
âI know, and Iâm sorry. I lost track of time and got distracted.â The pain began to subside as the poison completely numbed your foot, now working its way up your calf.
You watched her gaze shift to a nervous Neteyam who stood stiff and silent against the walls of your hut, looking at him suspiciously while he tried to find the right words to use.
âMa, please.â You pleaded, your voice bringing her attention back to you like you wanted. âIt was not like that, I swear it. He found me after I stepped on the thorns, had it not been for him I would not have been able to make it back.â You had lied a bit, but it was mostly the truth. âHe had nothing to do with this, it was all my fault. He only helped me home, Mama.â You didnât want her blaming Neteyam for something that wasnât his doing, he had enough of that at home. Your mother was extremely protective over you because of what happened to your father, you were all she had left so she always came on strong at first when it concerned you.
She became quiet in a moment of contemplation, âI apologize, Neteyam. Thank you for bringing my daughter back to me safely.â She nodded her head, looking up at Neteyam with gratitude this time.
He smiled shyly as if it were no big deal, holding his arm with one hand as he dropped his head and shook it from from side to side, his braids following suit. He hadnât changed a bit. Always quick to take the blame, but never to accept praise.
âWill your parents be angry with you?â You chimed in, looking at him worriedly. He already had so much on his plate, you felt bad at the thought of contributing. You relaxed slightly once he shook his head in attempt to assure you that he would be okay.
âIt is fine, really. Making sure you are safe is far more important to me.â He responded, looking into your eyes and keeping them there until your mother cleared her throat to remind the two of you of her presence.  âAh, but I really should be going. It is late.â He swallowed, managing to tear his eyes away from your face. âWill she be alright?â
Your mother nodded, wiping the wet cloth along the sole of your foot once more. âYes, thanks to you. Please, greet your parents for me?â
You watched as he brought two fingers up to his forehead then brought them back down with a slight bow, respectfully acknowledging your mother and excusing himself.
âGoodnightâŠâ You sent him off with a coy wave, bringing your fingers up to gently rest against your lips as you watched him leave. The second he was out of your sight, everything that had just transpired in the last hour and a half began to wash back over you.
Thanking Eywa that your motherâs back was turned to grab few ingredients for an ointment, you looked to the side and picked up your bag, feeling slightly guilty. âI brought your herbs, mama. Iâm sorry you have to waste them on me.â Your voice trailed off as you ushered them off in her direction.
âNonsense. When it comes to you, nothing is a waste. We can always get more herbs, but I only have one of you. Do you understand?â She reassured, her hand on your cheek to comfort you before reaching for your bag. âYou mean much more to me than any of these things.â
Your shoulders relaxed and you leaned into her touch with a sweet smile and a nod, grateful you had such a caring mother. You watched as she expertly ground up the herbs with a bit of aloe vera, her technique crafting it into paste that would aid in the healing of your injury. She dipped two of her fingers into the bowl, gently applying it to the puncture marks in your flesh.
âSoâŠâ She started, her voice laced with curiosity.
You groaned, bringing your hands up to cover your face in embarrassment as you already knew a boatload of questions were about to follow. Regardless of how tough your mother could be with him, she was surprisingly supportive of your crush on Neteyam and even encouraged it. You always made sure to tell her what a respectful young man he was.
âI havenât even said anything yet!â She laughed, grabbing the bandage next to her and wrapping it around your foot as she continued. âLook, I just think you should go for it. You should to tell him how you feel, donât you think he deserves to know?â
You sighed and looked down at your hands, twiddling with your fingers as you thought of what to say. âI donât know Ma⊠I donât want to get hurt. His parents want him to find a mate now, but he said he isnât ready.â
âMy sweet child,â Your mom took your hands into hers, causing you to look up at her.  âHe is waiting for you.â

Broken mask
Jake x reader x neytiri
The exo mask is a fundamental devices that was needed by all the humans, who were on pandora. As human couldn't breath the air on pandora, as told before and one without a mask it could end horrible. One wrong mistake could result in have a hard time breathing and tragic faith in the end, if the mask was not given in time. So what happens when the incident befallen someone.

deserving child | dad!jake x daughter!reader
Sypnosis; Whatever had your father done before you were born had nothing to do with you today, but Quaritch didn't care. Children or not, you were Jake's.
Contents; angst little comfort, typical avatar violence, drabble? extreme depictions of gore?? Jake's pov, no use of y/n,
Dictionary; sempul - dad/daddy, sa'nok - mother, tsurak - skimwing, kuru - queue, uturu - sanctuary
A/N; I hate this but anyway
Jake Sully. Failed life on Earth, dead brother. Paralyzed from the waist down, out of service. Sent to replace his brother on a military mission, Pandora. Falling for the forrest, the culture, the people... Neytiri. Even though he had taken everything from her, her sister, her father, her ikran, her people... Neytiri had faith. She fought with him. His beautiful mate... His children. His firstborn son, Neteyam, and his twin, you. Oh, how life had betrayed him. Or had he betrayed life? After all, he betrayed an entire race. Was it unfair? Had he done the good thing, or was he selfish?
Jake still remembers a quote from the Bible he had read years before his 20th birthday. Before his brother was killed on the field.
"For am I seeking the approval of man or of God? And if I am seeking the approval of man, will I still be a servant of grace?"
As Jake sat still onto the back of his tamed tsurak within the seas of the reefs, hundreds of vengeful Na'vi in the same position behind him, he thought back to fifteen years ago. He could've left with Quaritch. Be could've surrendered. Saved thousands of innocent lives and give his own. But he didn't. He chose to stay and fight, but for what?
He could clearly see your distressed faces kneeling and facing him on the Demon Ship. Quaritch and his men held you and your siblings tighly in place and the gun pressed to your temple that digged into your skin harshly.
Jake chose to stay and fight. It brought him here. His children about to get executed right in front of his helpless eyes, unable to do anything but to weep to himself like a coward.
The sound of Neytiri's distressed pleas in his ears made them ring, but he couldn't hear a single word.
Jake could see in his head the faded image of your brains splattered onto the pavement of the ship and for a brief moment he pondered if this was all a dream. It wasn't, however, you were still alive. The choice was his, he knew it well. Would Neytiri even forgive him? Would you? Would Tuk be able to pass her own Iknimaya without her father?
â
The freezing cold metal pressed firmly against the side of your head burned like dry ice. You had seen your father use similar machinery on the field, but you had never seen it be pointed at someone else. Even less had you thought you'd be the one in this kind of situation. Quaritch had your kuru thigh in his unoccupied hand, pulling whenever your kneeling stance faltered. You could see the outline of Jake, Ronal and Tonowari from your place on the ship and the way your father's eyes drifted from you and your siblings to his weapon. Was he really considering letting himself get captured for you?
Whatever Jake was thinking was passing fast. He had no plan and you knew it. The simple look of despair on Tonowari's face told you everything. You knew not to scream out because the Avatar had warned you when your brother tried.
"One noise and I'll shoot ya', kid."
Kid. You were just a kid. Your brother and sister were just kids. And Jake stared at you like it would be the last time he'd ever do. It was ironic, really. You came to Awa'atlu seeking uturu and had to end up murdering the entirety of its residents.
Jake felt the cold breeze against his damp skin, the breathlessness of Ronal on his right. His children are about to die. You, their big sister, dying to protect them. His babygirl. The one that lit up his life when he felt he was no Olo'eyktan, no Toruk Makto.
Right. Toruk Makto. Jake is Toruk Makto. The sixth rider of Last Shadow, the one who brought the clans victory against the Sky People. He killed Quaritch once. Can he really do it twice?
It's strange to think about it now, but in this situation he wishes he was more of a father and less of a marine. Lo'ak would never forgive him. The way he treated his children like soldiers... The pain he brought upon Neytiri and the people.
Quaritch's voice brings him back.
"Clock's ticking, colonel. What's it gonna be?"
The hand that rested on his gun lowered and Jake instructed his tsurak to swim forward slowly. He doesn't want to die, but he was ready to give his life up for you.
Quaritch did too.
Payakan thought otherwise. The large beast had felt Lo'ak's anger throughout their bond. Payakan had forgotten all about friendship, but Lo'ak had brought him a sense of serenity he had just about never felt before. Seeing red as he threw itself onto the ship, Jake saw the opportunity.
should I do a part two? seems opportunistic tbh

I will try to elaborate and do a good write-up for you. In advance, THANK YOU VERY MUCH đđ
Summary: Another lovely day with the Sully family! Jake desperately chasing after the little rascals that are his children plus his pregnant wife to deal with.
Warnings: A little bit of anguish, but it is rewarded afterwards!
Word Count: 2,4k
Sa'nok (n) - Mom TĂŹyawn (n) - Love
Oel ngati kameie (n) - I see you
Part one | Part three
You awoke early that morning, feeling ready to make a productive day of it. Stretching, you got up from the hammock and looked around, missing the presence of your companion, who by the looks of it began his work as head of the Omatikaya Clan early in the morning. You are somewhat saddened to wake up away from Jake's body heat, missing his big arms around you and his loving kisses all over your face. But you have gotten used to it, after all it was a necessary evil.
Standing up, you observed your children still sleeping in a deep slumber. The clan started their activities early in the day, when the sun was just beginning to rise, but you thought it unnecessary to wake your children that early, then you go do what needs to be done while they stay in the tent resting. That is until Jake came to them and got them out of bed to start their day's activities.
While still looking at the sleeping children, her eyes fixed on Lo'ak for a moment. He was having little spasms in his sleep, probably because of some dream he had been having. You let out a small laugh at this; Lo'ak was usually agitated even in his sleep. His brothers complained about how he disturbed them with his nocturnal mumblings or kicks that they were liable to get because they were close.
After standing still for long enough, you finally got ready and left the tent.
A few months had passed, so your belly was very swollen at this point. You felt heavy and sluggish, but you smiled widely every time you felt your little baby kick your belly, which wasn't the case today since he was probably also sleeping like his other siblings.
As you walked a bit, you met up with some elders who greeted you respectfully. You asked if there was anything you could help with and, as expected, you were assigned something simple. Picking fruit and herbs for the clan's food preparation.
You didn't really mind doing simple tasks, you just didn't like being treated like a fragile piece of glass just because of your pregnant state. It wasn't uncommon for pregnant Na'vi women to help hunt with the others (only in simpler hunts in this case), so it wouldn't be out of the ordinary for you to help.
You loved hunting, it made you feel useful to your clan and to your family, not to mention that others appreciated your help. You were a very good hunter, if not one of the best. You were agile and very good with the bow, being one of the main people in the clan to have exceptional aim, so being away from these activities misses you.
The main person to somehow force you not to hunt is none other than, himself, your faithful companion, Jake Sully.
He was already extremely protective of you in the early stages of pregnancy, but now that your belly was huge and you tired more easily, he protected you from even the most harmless creatures of Pandora.
Honestly, you were angry with him for it. Sometimes his constant protection was suffocating and made you feel like a child. But more childish is Jake and his stubbornness. No matter how much you argued, you would always be at square one of 'No hunting at all'.
Sighing, you settled for going after the items necessary for food preparation. At least that gave you a calming stroll with only your own presence among the flora of Pandora.
Jake had been searching for a family member for some time.
He went into his shared tent to, as usual, wake up his children to start the day. In the process he expected to find you and sprinkle you with kisses since he was unable to do that when he left the tent earlier.
However, the only thing he came across was the deadly silence of the environment and the stillness of the surroundings.
This was not normal. It definitely was not.
Their children didn't disappear like that. Even if they woke up before he arrived to wake them up, they usually stayed at home helping you with something or just enjoying themselves before Jake dragged them out.
But that wasn't the case today. There was no one in the tent, not even you.
This made your stomach turn and a bitter feeling settle in your throat. Nothing bad had happened, right?
The kids could have just gone out to play without waiting for him to arrive and you must have gone to do something. Yes, that's definitely it.
But even if it is, Jake was unable to stop the worry bubbling up inside him and the present despair he plunged into. Jake turned on his heels and hurried out of the tent in search of his children or you, whichever it was.
As he walked through the clan, Jake stopped the first person who appeared in front of him and began frantically asking questions in search of answers.
"Ănsit! Oh my God, help me", Jake made the woman who was walking calmly with a basket in her arms stop abruptly at the mention of her name and turn with a look of astonishment to face the man who called out to her.
"Olo'eyktan, Oel ngati kameie. What's wrong?", the woman inquired, analyzing her leader's expressions and seeing how desperate and helpless the man is. What could be so bad that could have happened to make her great leader so frightened like this?
Jake swallowed the saliva that had built up in his mouth as he tried to stabilize his breathing, and then quickly said: "My children, have you seen them? Or their mother?"
He was able to see how the woman's body tensed for a few seconds and a worried expression took over from the previous one. This did not help ease his worries, in fact, it only made them worse.
"No, no, I didn't see them, any of them. Did something happen?"
Jake's heart froze, it wasn't possible for his noisy sons not to have made a presence in the clan yet, someone should have seen it. But he didn't have time to go out interrogating every soul he could find in front of him, his only option was to act and look for them on his own.
"Okay, thanks. If you see them, have someone let me know. For now I need to go", Jake didn't even give Ănsit a chance to reason through the situation before he rushed back to search for you and your children.
He had been walking for a while and the situation was only getting worse. He could not calm his troubled heart and his eyes were beginning to fill with tears for fear that something might have happened.
In his search time he had heard that you had gone out early to help the elderly women with their search for fruits, herbs and derivatives, but so far there has been no return from you.
Jake was in the middle of the forest currently as the sun was high in the sky. He was breaking into a cold sweat as he continued to shout his name and that of his children. How could this have happened? How could he let you disappear like this?
Guilt was consuming him as worry settled in his lungs making it difficult to breathe. His throat was beginning to rasp from the many times he had called out their names. He refused to give up and knew that one hour you would answer him.
"Lo'ak! Neteyam!!" Jake continued walking and started to walk in between some trees in the process, still continuing with his call. "Kiri?! Oh Great Mother⊠Children, I ask you to answer me-", he was silenced by distant voices in front of him. He became still, so deadly still that it was possible to hear his heartbeat against his ribcage, just focusing on listening to the various voices behind the trees.
"Lo'ak, I will not repeat, watch out for the rocks!"
"Right Sa'nok. I am skilled, I will not get hurt."
"Sure you are", a sarcastic voice was heard soon after, pouring debauchery into every word, "Who was the fool who slipped last time and grated his entire knee?"
"Shut up Kiri!"
"Watch the lingo, Lo'ak!"
A commotion followed soon after, sounds of splashing water and screaming children filled the place. Jake would recognize those voices even on his deathbed, they were the voices that annoyed him some days, but lit up all his mornings.
He let out the breath he hadn't even realized he was holding. A shaky sigh left his lips; his legs slackened for a few seconds as relief flooded his entire being.
Jake didn't know that those voices were the sweetest thing he had ever heard in his entire life. He never wanted to listen to the silence again.
Making his way through the greenery, Jake could finally see the scene in front of him. Small children were playing in the small pond that had settled there, while a more delicate figure with a large round part in place of a stomach was sitting on the ground peeling some fruit in its basket.
It was the most beautiful sight he had ever witnessed. Although Jake was angry that you had disappeared without trace or warning, the anger was soon replaced by passion and affection for his family. Jake loved them so much, so much that his heart ached. And to think that soon they would have an extra member there, running and jumping along with their other children. Jake could not contain the smile that insisted on appearing on his lips.
Walking toward you, Jake sat down beside you while resting his head on your shoulder, making you jump from where you were standing from the fright you got.
"Ah my Eywa. What a fright Jake Sully! What did I say about sneaky approaches?" You shot him a scolding look as you calmed your heartbeat.
"I'm sorry. But I guess I'm the only one who should be angry here, because why did you disappear without even telling me? The children⊠do you know how desperate I was to chase after you?", his voice was firm, wanting to scold you, but you could feel the desperation in his speech.
Your lips curved upward slightly as you put your knife and fruit away in the basket beside you, only to take Jake's hands and entwine them together. "I'm sorry, love, I did not mean that. I took the opportunity of you not being around to serve as some help to the clan since you make me unable to do so in your presence", you said with a playful tone that drew a snort coming from Jake, which you just ignored and continued, "I was really going to do what I was assigned and return to join the elders, however, as I was gathering the necessary ingredients, I felt small bodies cling to my leg demanding that I play with them. Your children woke up energized today."
You and Jake shifted their focus to the children diving into the pond ahead, realizing that they probably hadn't even noticed their father's presence yet.
Jake moved even closer to you and deposited a light kiss on your lips, so soft that you were almost unable to register it. Then he lowered his face and deposited an even more loving kiss on your round belly, then you were able to hear him murmur, "I was very afraid that something might have happened to you."
Your heart squeezed at those words and you felt guilty. It wasn't fair to Jake to suddenly disappear without warning, you were a little upset this morning, but it still wasn't a reason. You can imagine the constant desperation he had been in before he found you.
The only option you found yourself able to do to soothe your companion's distressed heart was to get up and sit on his lap, wrapping your arms around Jake's neck and resting your forehead against his. "Forgive me, tĂŹyawn", you deposited a longer kiss on Jake's mouth, pulling away minimally to whisper something that only the two of you were able to hear, "What can I do to end your fears?"
Before Jake was able to answer, you were able to hear voices of disgust behind you.
"Ew⊠Daddy, how long have you been here doing disgusting things?", Kiri asked as she hid her face behind her older brother so she wouldn't be able to see anything else.
"You disappear without a trace and when you see me you're already saying these things to me?", Jake took you from his lap as gently as possible, placing a quick kiss on your cheek. He got up and slowly started walking towards his children with his arms outstretched. "Am I supposed to shower you with kisses as punishment for all the hell you put me through today?"
Your children let out startled cries as they ran to protect themselves from their father's strong arms, Lo'ak colliding head-on with Neteyam in the process, causing Kiri to squirm with laughter and end up falling into the arms of Jake who was showering her with kisses all over her little face.
You started to laugh out loud at your family's pranks. You cherished moments like that and they made them memories too special to fix in your head. You cracked a smile as more laughter was heard coming from Jake, Neteyam, Lo'ak and Kiri. That is until your smile widened even more (if that was possible) as you felt your baby kicking your belly. Placing your hand on your stomach, you were able to feel the baby's excitement, as if it was sharing all the energy coming from its siblings.
You knew that surely this little being in your belly would be just as energetic as your current little ones. And it made you realize how blessed you truly were.
You would be scolded later for not having taken the promised ingredients to the elders. But that's okay, the light of your family was able to make you overcome any challenge.
The story took a different turn than I expected, but in the end I liked it! I hope I was able to convey well the father jake desperate for his missing family lmaoâšïž

Neytiri x Sibling!reader - spiritually
Could I send an avatar request for being Neytiriâs younger sibling, please? - Anonđ
A/N: Naâvi will be written in italics
Standing behind your mother, hands on her back, you peaked around her to face your older sister and the strange naâvi she had brought here with her.
She translated for the male who couldnât seem to understand your language and as you looked at him, you saw something familiar inside of him.
Similar to your sister in a way.
â(Y/N) what is it?â You mother whispered.
âEywa has chosen him, we must respect her choice and have faith she has made it for a reason, correct?â
Your mother nodded and your father looked at you, holding his hand out.
Taking his hand, you let him pull your forward to stand next to him and you placed your hand on your forehead bowing a little.
âI see you.â
He copied you.
âI see you, speak my child, what are your thoughts?â
You turned to your sister and walked over, and she bowed her head a little at you and you did the same before walking around the man.
Jake he was called.
He dressed strangle, in clothes that belonged to the sky peopleâs. Yet he looked like you, just like Grace did, and you knew she was a sky person.
So he was the same you knew that for a fact.
Jake seemed to grow nervous as you looked at him, and you heard him whispering in English but you couldnât understand what he was saying.
âThis man knows nothing of our language, of our cultures and traditions.â
âBut Eywa has chosen him (Y/N).â
You turned to Neytiri.
âI know, I am simply trying to figure out why. This man is no hunter, no healer, what can he do for us?â
Neytiri repeated this question to Jake who looked at you in confusion.
âI donât understand.. who is thisâŠ?â Jake asked.
âMy younger Sibling, (Y/N). They do not grace us often with their presence but they have chosen to come see for themselves.â
Jake nodded.
âI was a warrior.â
Neytiri translated everything he was saying to you and you nodded along.
âIf Eywa has chosen it has been done. She has made her choice, we believe in her, I believe there is a reason why the great mother has sent him to us.â
âYou a certain of this?â You father asked.
You nodded your head and he tasked your older sister with teaching Jake everything about your people and you left.
You made your way back to the top of the tree, sitting on one of the branches as you stared at the base of the sky people in the distance.
You were a peacemaker, you didnât enjoy war or conflict, like your mother you were spiritual, you spoke and connected to Eywa and your ancestors through the souls.
You heard whispered among the voices of someone who would save your tribe, who would help fight the sky people.
Jake Sully was this man and you knew that.
You kept a close eye on him though, while your sister seemed fond of him and seemed to trust him you didnât, and while he was learning to connect with his direhorse.
âHe is a fool, he will never be one of us.â Tsuâtey grumbled.
You looked up from your perch on a rock, arms resting over your legs as you carefully watched.
âYou cannot seriously think he will ever become one of us Neytiri.â He scoffed.
âHe simply must learn.â She replied.
You hummed a little, nodding your head at her response.
âHeâs going to get himself killed.â
âTsuâtey, that is enough. We were all once new to this and had to learn, Jakesully is no different than any of the children.â
Tsuâtey grumbled but he knew better then to talk against you, he simply left.
Neytiri turned to face you, smiling.
âThank you.â
You gave a small nod of your head.
âHe is a slow learner, but he will get there eventually.â
Neytiri smiled and jumped up to sit behind you while you watched Jake try to wipe some mud away from his face.
He looked up at you and titled his head a little.
âMaybe you can teach me?â
He grinned a little and you smiled.
âYou have a good grasp of our language. I am not the one tasked to help you learn however.â
âWhat is it you do exactly if youâre not a Hunter?â
âJake!â
You placed a hand over your sisters to calm her down and turned back to the learning naâvi.
âI am spiritual leader, next in line after my mother. I speak on behalf of Eywa and interpret her will. I teach the lessons our ancestors speak and give consult to my other on what he must do.â
âOh I see, youâre like second in command.â
âFourth. After my father, mother and sister.â
âThey seem to respect you a lot though.â
You jumped down, walking around Jake as you pat his direhorse on the head, pressing your forehead to yours stroking her gently.
âRespect must be earned, it is not given. We all make our choices Jakesully, you must ensure you are making the right ones.â
Jake walked around to look at you as you stepped away.
âWhat if I make the wrong one?â
âIn life we make mistakes, that does not mean we cannot learn from them. You must follow your heart, it always knows the way. Eywa guides us, leads us. She is never wrong, neither is your heart.â
With that you left and Jake watched you go before turning to Neytiri.
âTheyâre very political.â
âThey always have been. We know not why. But they are destined for great things I know.â
Neytiri smiled and Jake smiled as well.
âSo can I get extra lessons from them on spirituality or whatever?â
Neytiri laughed a little.
âIâll take to them, now, again.â

Light's ARG notes - Dear Evelyn
Dear Evelyn (spotify link) is a horror podcast with a few ARG elements! It's just coming out and it's really good. I know some of the people involved (though don't know anything else about the podcast itself) and really like the other podcast on their network, the Creepypasta Book Club. Check em out! There are also some ARG elements. (It looks like you can listen to the podcast without engaging with any of the ARG elements, at least for now, but it's early on and anyways I love an ARG.)
Under the cut I'm dropping a lot of spoiler notes on Episode 1 "introductions" and Episode 2 "The Attic", which is all that's out so far. Really just my notes on the characters and what we know about everything.
I'm taking a break for this in between working on the shorthand code, which... might take me a while. I know nothing about shorthand and never claimed to be good at codes in the first place. XD
Characters
The Payne family
Sparrow Payne - The voice of the show. Sending recordings to get back in touch with their younger sibling, Evelyn. Their father has just died and they've moved back to the old family house in Keen's Cross, Indiana.
Got emancipated at 16, hasn't been back since. Refers to themself as "the scary one" of the siblings.
Evelyn Payne - Sparrow's younger sister. Was more online at a younger age. Also left Keen's Cross early and has been estranged from everyone. Things are really tense with Sparrow, who doesn't even know their address, which Sparrow thinks is fair.
As a kiddo, really morbid and into scary stuff. Made up and was scared of "Gabe the Cave Monster".
On a post-it note on the wall of Evelyn's room, in her handwriting, is "Pale_Horse1392".
Pastor Roger Payne - Sparrow and Evelyn's dad, who recently died. Was always a hardass but really became a pious dick after his wife vanished.
Naomi Payne - Sparrow and Evelyn's mom, who went missing when Sparrow was - I forget but I want to say like 12 years old.
Into new age stuff, not as into the religious stuff, which was a point of conflict in her relationship with Roger.
Wrote extensive diaries.
Sparrow is pretty sure she's dead.
Other characters
Mrs. Rapperty (sp?): Next door neighbor, lives alone in big dirty house. Recluse. Now maybe has Alzheimer's or something. Said Naomi was so beautiful but that she lost the faith and left the kids - all of which was news to Sparrow. She seems to know something about Naomi.
Jake Petty: Gay kid that the kids knew when they were younger, stayed in Keen's Cross. Closer to Evelyn's age.
Officer Petty: Jake's dad. Cop.
Pastor Drayer (sp?): The new pastor. Was really curious about Evelyn at Roger's funeral, despite having never met either of the Payne kids.
The missing person case
According to news report at the end of "introductions", Naomi was: Reported as missing:
4 days after last seen
3 days after authorities were notified
Reported to outside authorities (like, police in another town) BY one of the kids hitchhiking to a nearby town. Guessing that's Sparrow, since Evelyn was very young.
Sparrow tried to get help and answers as a kid but doesn't seem to have known much.
Since she died, the entire case has been publicized and become infamous online, which Sparrow hates. A lot of stuff like Naomi's journals are digitally available.
Naomi's journals
Naomi wrote some every day, almost.
Some missing ones mentioned in "The Attic", including various years. The journals are indexed with letters.
Also lots of albums, almost all of the mom. Lots with the mom and some baby in places that don't look like Keen's Cross, which is confusing to Sparrow.
A lot of the diaries were made public but not these ones Sparrow just found in the attic.
Sparrow mentions one specific entry - 1992 (May 18) - Talking about Mt St Helens erupting, on its anniversary. Naomi tried to get others to leave town - something bad is happening here too.
An excerpt of one of the diaries, written in shorthand, was shared with the episode description. I'm still trying to figure out what it says.
The Payne House
Dad left the kid's rooms mostly untouched since they moved out.
Bunch of stuff in the attic that is padlocked shut. Wild!
As of "The Attic", at Evelyn's suggestion, Sparrow found the key taped to the underside of Dad's night stand.
The attic contained a bunch of Naomi's things and diaries, mostly untouched in interceding years. Unclear how much of this, if any, the police ever saw. There are sections of the diaries - like in shorthand - that definitely never appeared online, and that Sparrow never saw before.
pale_Horse1392
Right, so in the description of "introductions", there's a link to this image:
The QR code goes to this youtube channel, which contains (at time of writing) only this cryptic video.
youtube
So I'm thinking pale_horse1392 is either Evelyn, or someone Evelyn was in contact with as a young person.
Riddle
If you click on the drawing of Gabe the Cave Monster in the episode 2 notes, there's a link to a riddle. I also have not figured out the riddle.

Cool that Harry used keys to attack Raith
Awesome that Harry used Lara as a catâs paw
âClearly I underestimated youâ I said âDonât feel bad I mean I look stupidâ pg. 525 HaÂ
Ivy mention!Â
Lash mention I was wondering if sheâd show up in this book
âHey, why did you get large breed Puppy Chow?â pg. 551 HaÂ
Final thoughtsÂ
I thought this book was funny. There was so much Bi Harry in this book even without Marcone. Up to 19 on the Bi Harry counter. Sadly no Marcone, why is there so little of him in books. Iâm sad that Harry and Ebenezar fought, hopefully they can make up. Nicky, Papa Raith, and Justin DuMorne can all go jump off a cliff in my opinion. I love Thomas and Harryâs relationship. I liked Kincaid and the Ivy mention. I hope to see more of Lash in the next book. I loved Mouse. Rich needs to back up and Iâd like to meet him in the parking lot for a chat. I thought the fights were cool. Canât wait to see what He Who Walks Behind brings to the story. On to the next book.

walks into ur inbox and sets up a big conspiracy board. hi mac :3 do u wanna hear about the hs epilogues and hs2??? well i'm gonna learn u a thing about homed stuck post canon!!!! here we fucking go
ok so idk how much of the epilogues u have read, but basically to sum it up: it was made as a way to make the fans of canon hs angry. like that's kinda the whole point. and it worked because honestly!! they are quite terrible!!! and i do like them a lot but there are a lot of things that were done in bad faith with very little care to original canon, such as: raging misogyny in the form of making jane a hashtag girlboss who sexually abused jake, jade who has no concept of sexual boundaries and was literally framed to be the girl who got in between the gay couple, and like. a lot more. so it's. very far from perfect. honestly a lot of the character writing isn't even that good
but something to keep in mind is that while yes, part of the reason a lot of it is written that way is because hussie just wanted to piss people off, there is kind of a canon reason for it??? dirk went kind of off the rails and absorbed the knowledge of all of his splinters and alternate timeline selves (which for a person who hates himself that much!!! not great!!! would drive a guy a little nuts!!!) and he got a little. bro strider-ish. very manipulative and Not Nice. and he also grabbed control over the entire narrative in the meat timeline so!!! he was just messing with people and trying to convince himself he didn't feel bad about it. sad!
and the candy timeline is controlled by alt!calliope who wanted to make the entire timeline nice and perfect and domestic, a war broke out between trolls and humans, shit hit the fan pretty bad, but the narrative only focuses on the romantic and family drama which says sooooooo much about how alt!callie views the world and these characters. she grew up obsessing over them and now can't process that these are real people who are friends with the alpha timeline version of herself and it drives me bonkers and fucking yonkers GIRL YOU ARE MESSING WITH PEOPLE YOU ARE NO DIFFERENT THAN YOUR BROTHER!!!! since ultimate!dirk absorbed the knowledge and memories of lord english through his absorption of arquiussprite he is basically lord fucking english so him and alt!calliope arguing over the timelines is literally just. two siblings who never grew up pulling their toys/friends back and forth and being upset because they can't get their own way IT'S INSANE
also the prose slaps sometimes. meat page 39 is an especially good example, like the way it capture's ult!dirk's character voice is. AAAAAAUGHJGHGH. god. the feelings of that part. the way he's clearly trying so hard not to care..... but he DOES. and you can TELL. honestly it really captures the tragedy of dirkjake so well. also candy page 14 is just. woagh. idk if you read that part but dirk dies in candy and it's just.... holyyyyy shit dude. it's a bit gorey and it is a suicide so maybe not the best part to read if you're in a bad state of mind but GOD. it just. there's something about it that somehow manages to capture dirk so well in a way. like of course his death would be self inflicted while feeling like he's doing something "right." jesus christ. i can give u links to my favourite pages if u wanna read any of em
ummm ANYWAY. hs2 is a continuation of BOTH timelines. john died in the meat timeline (sad) and got incredibly depressed in the candy timeline (also sad) but also he had a son with roxy in candy!!! his name is harry anderson and lemme tell u i love all of the kids in candy. there's harry, there's vrissy (an ecto clone of vriska adopted by rose and kanaya), tavros crocker-english (jane and jake's kid, the most tragic little guy ever tbh) and um. yiffy. yiffany longstocking lalonde-harley who was born when jade wanted a kid. i'm not gonna get into the whole ordeal of yiffy rn it was so balls to the wall insane if i explained everything i would be here all day. but also VRISKA IS THERE đđđ and she is the highlight of the candy timeline lemme tell u. she's gonna end the troll/human war maybe. or maybe she'll just fuck around. who knows!!! it's vriska!!! i love her silly unpredictable swag :3
the meat timeline is where i go especially crazy because there is soooo much to analyze here in terms of prose and imagery and just. stuff in general. basically dirk and rose blasted off into space to go create a new intelligent species and introduce them to sburb and make their universe "relevant" again because something just feels Off about their current story, and they can't quite tell what it is so they're fixing it any way they can think of. also terezi tagged along because she was there when john died and she still hasn't found vriska and so she is also depressed so hey why not tag along on this death trip to the stars!!! also a bunch of others are trying to chase them down in their own spaceship, including: dave and karkat, jade, callie, and roxy (who is transmasc in the meat timeline!!!) also davekat is canon in the meat timeline and they have some lovely existential discussions about dave's immortality and karkat's mortality
anyway thats all i got for now. i feel insane about these guys and i'm hoping the new writers for hs2 can maybe improve the story a bit AND THEY ALREADY KIND OF HAVE!!! they brought sollux back, they made jake less of a punching bag and more of a character, they have vriska shenanigans, and jane is less of an Evil Girlboss and actually more of a homestuck villain if that makes sense!! AND THE ART STYLE IS BETTER TOO the hs2 style kind of devolved a bit and looked a bit terrible after a while (they might have just had new artists on at the time) but now they've got different artists!! and the guy heading it now worked on some of the original homestuck stuff!! so they're trying to slowly fix some of hussie's bad writing choices and expanding on the cool stuff that was already there!! i love hs2 it is my deeply flawed very fucked up baby :3 sorry this was so long. the demons got me u understand <3
I UNDERSTAND I UNDERSTAND. OMG THANK YOU. i actually did start reading candy/meat when they first came out (<< 17 yr old who was so so so excited for new homestuck content) and ended up. giving up on them REALLY quick. i actually got to the part where dirk died in candy and that was what made me put them down entirely bc i was SO upset . also like u said yes the way jade was characterized was so so so uncomfy for me. so those r like the two main factors that made me totally give up on meat and candy. and i kind of openly was super super mad about the epilogues for a while after that and then i realized. oh no. im a fool. im exactly the kind of person they were written to make angry HHFDBSJS. so i backed down and learned to appreciate them for what they were from a distance <3
i appreciate u SO MUCH for the deep dive bc holy shit. every once in a while i have the internal struggle of "god i miss homestuck. maybe i should go back and read the epilogues" and then i Dont hFBFSJDK . i actually do not know SHIT about hs2 in general !! i know there is. ult dirk who looks like an anime villain and i think thats great for him. aaaaand. the davekat laundry room scene which i have only seen panels for and not dialogue and i love them so much forever. and thats about the extent of my knowledge.
#IM GLAD U ENJOY THEM BC I ALSO LIKE TO KNOW EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME. i am avsorbing your knowledge#i think i would like to go back and read meat and candy again some day and give them another chance#((mainly so i can then read hs2 bc thats what i care about))#but i think i need to be in the correct headspace to do that and it has never really felt like the right time i guess#unfortunately the first time i consumed them i was a super super hyper depressed lonely college freshman#and they kind of scarred me a little hBFHDJSKS#I APPRECIATE THEM NOW THOUGH.#THANKNU THANK U THANK U i love whiskey inbox time#friends!!!#asks#anachronistic-falsehood

STORY POINTS
Jacob had a relatively normal childhood for someone in such a religious household. His parents were rather strict, but they tried their best-- it just took them being gone for him to realize it.
He grew up alongside Cabell McCay as childhood friends, someone of a different religion than his own, but gave him a better appreciation for others. They have remained good friends since.
On a seemingly random day, he was hit by a car while riding his bike to school and fell over the hood. His bike was done for, though he was left with only scratches... It was from that moment on that he believed he had a true calling from God.
As he became a teenager, he understood what it would take to become a priest, (or rather what he would have to give up), but he had a grand passion for God. He would do what it took to serve and made a commitment to remain pure.
It was all so easy until he fell in love with one of his childhood friends. He knew he could never have her, he had made a commitment to God and she had made a commitment to her boyfriend, but the last night he was in town before leaving for his education-- Things happened.
When he returned years later, he was almost heartbroken to find that the girl he loved so dearly was not only married now, but that she had a child... A child of the age of 8... Strange.
She said the child wasn't his and he chose never to speak of it. But that didn't mean he didn't have nightmares about how he believed the child looked more and more like him every day.
Regardless, he continued with his teachings and prepared lessons to prep for an eventual spot as the successor of the church... But then the storm happened.
Jacob was one of the first to offer the place of worship as a place to take refuge. He accepted all people and would be damned if anyone was left without a place to stay in this situation, but he was entirely lost on how to lead the church when such an unprecedented evil was afoot.
It took a very quick conversation between the two of them left to conclude that Absinthe should lead everyone over him. He was far more qualified in Jacob's opinion and with that, he would assist and help preach.
In the beginning, attendance was lower than it ever had been-- but he didn't take it personally. His faith had been tested as well when his parents had been torn to pieces in their own home. They had just refused to use any other symbol outside their door but the cross.
He came to the conclusion that God was finally punishing the town for their sins. Taking the good with him on the way out in the form of a rapture. That was why the cross hadn't protected his parents. Because the monsters must've been some kind of rapture angels.
This opinion changed in private discussions with Absinthe and inner thought. When new life kept occurring in Huntsville, he figured it could be the opposite... That these truly were creatures sent from Hell and they were there to help protect the people of Huntsville.
In the years since, Jacob has become a much more progressive priest. He was already very accepting of everyone, but he has very much settled into the belief that they were living in unprecedented times-- that called for kindness, acceptance, and understanding.
Today, Jacob still helps the needy and is one of the first to welcome new visitors with information. He offers guidance to those who seek it and never judges those who reject his faith. He would still throw himself at the danger before he allowed anyone to be in pain... Jacob only wishes he could get them all out.
WANTED CONNECTIONS
1. The One that Got Away:Â She might still go to the church, she might not. Either way, the connection might still be there beneath all the tension of their situation... If not, she might just miss the friendship they once had.
2. The Child:Â They would be around 27 at this point. Do they know the truth? Is there even a truth to find out? And what of their connection at all... They might try to see Jacob or be curious about him because of the pictures of her mother and him that the older woman had tried to hide away.
3. Childhood Friends:Â He's been in town for quite some time. It wouldn't be surprising that he had some friends still around! He always tried to be a friendly face to others.
4. Lost Souls:Â Maybe he sees them regularly to discuss addictions or immoral behavior... Or maybe they've just been discussing these things for years. Whatever the situation, he's there to listen. Even if they're not religious.
5. Gossips:Â He's annoyed by them and all their news around town. Pretending they "know the truth" doesn't mean anything to him. He's never lied in his life... And even if he had, they shouldn't know about it.
âŠMore to come, Iâm sure!

Running home to her
Life can be difficult when everything around one self is changing, and sometimes it hard to see what will be coming up next. Life can be even more difficult when it easy to see, others around you are not the supportive as ones wants as the ones who are supportive of them are away.
Jake " lo'ak are you even listening to what I'm saying"
lo'ak " yes sir I'm"
Jake " why can't you do anything right way I'm always hearing from everyone else, all the trouble you have gotten into and along with dragging your siblings as well"
lo'ak " dad they started it I did nothing wrong"
Jake " I don't care you got into the fight with those other boys aonung, being one of them during this gather has brought shame to the family and clan"
lo'ak " ......"
neytiri " lo'ak answer your father when he speaking to you"
lo'ak " yes neytiri"
Jake " she is your mother you will address her as mother or ma'am"
lo'ak " y/n is my mama as well"
Jake " neytiri a far better mother then y/n now I can see why you behave, like this she is to blame for your behavior and actions she always enables you"
lo'ak " no she doesn't sir she listen to me and understands me"
neytiri " you two have never brought pride and joy to our family, always shame and disappointment why can't you be like your brother or sisters"
lo'ak " because I'm my own person ma'am and I will keep being myself"
Jake " you will go apologize to those boys and your brother tomorrow after morning meal, and then you will apologize to their parents as well then the clan for your foolish behavior and then you will have chores to do ... to make up for your mistake once again'
lo'ak " the only one I will say sorry to this neteyam those boys were speaking poorly about mama"
Jake " well whatever they said they might not be wrong"
lo'ak " sir she is your and mother mate"
neytiri " that not important right now"
lo'ak " fine if I don't apologize what will happen"
Jake ' you will leave this house and stay elsewhere"
lo'ak " so we finally came to this situation sir"
Jake ' yes and you will not be staying with your grandmother or uncle tsutey as well he mad at you as well, you will leave the home and stay elsewhere until you act mature"
lo'ak " okay sir"
Jake " you can stay in the huts outside of the clan because right now, we don't need anymore trouble"
lo'ak " do my siblings and everyone else know about this"
Jake " we will tell them later they will understand so make your decisions, we will leave you here to think as we need to check up on your siblings and there other ... dont disappointment even more then you have already done"
neytiri " think about this wisely lo'ak for everyone sake" neytiri and Jake soon left, lo'ak made up his idea he soon ran to his room and packed up the belonging he will needed. He was leaving he was going to do everyone and favor and leave, he was going to join you and the other at the second base.
lo'ak " I should go say goodbye to everyone and tell them I will call later" lo'ak was heading those the healing hut to speak with everyone.
tonowari " Jake sully what will you do with the son of yours"
ronal " he has hurt our son and other boys as well, and he keeps on breaking the rules of the clan and questions us as well"
Jake " we have spoken with lo'ak and gave him a scolding, he will make a apology to your boy and the others along with everyone else he will also be punished as well"
neytiri " we are sorry about his behavior"
ronal " it seems like your other child are not demon blooded like him, the clan has faith in your other kids not in the boy ... I and tonowari wish for you as well to make sure lo'ak doesn't drag our daughter down his wicked path"
ronal " we seen the way he looks at her and we don't wish for that for our daughter until the boy prove himself as navi and no demon"
Jake " we will deal with that we have noticed as well and will make sure no more trouble comes to your family"
Jake " sometime I wonder if he even my son or even if he should be a sully after all" lo'ak had a looked of heartbreak on him, he decisions was finally made he was now. It seems like saying goodbye will be bad he just need to go.
lo'ak " hey boy we will be leaving for some time I think it for the best, don't worry we will not be going that far just far enough away from here" lo'ak soon tied his bag onto his ikran saddle and soon got onto the saddle, he soon took off into the sky he was running home to you. Jake " y/n listen ...."
y/n " no you will listen here I'm done with you and everyone in that clan, and it seems like other clan treating my son like his unwanted and a demon it makes me sick and he is staying with me for now and maybe forever until he make his own home"
neytiri " y/n please we can...."
y/n " there is nothing you both can do to make me change my mind the kids can come here and stay for the nights, you all can come and seek help or to discuss anything but I will not have you taking my son away anymore .... he staying with me here on this base and outside as well'
Jake " he is my son'
y/n " don't from the recording lo'ak had shared with me earlier"
Jake " y/n I ...."
y/n " I will be civil for our children sake as I still and will always love them, the are the greatest things that came from my relationship with your and neytiri"
neytiri " y/n"
norm " we will have to end this call soon as seeing there has been enough damage done, by other parties on the line and for the well-being for the boys as well"
Jake " we will call later to speak with y/n and lo'ak" the call soon ended and everyone looked around the room.
lo'ak " mama you are not to blame for what has happened"
y/n " I do feel like I should be blamed I had fallen in love, with them and like a fool I thought they will love me as well'

lo'ak " you don't have to apologize neteyam this might be good, for everyone in the end"
neteyam " well no matter where you, spider, and mama are we will always be family along with everyone else" the boys had nodded their heads and smiled. The kids had talked a bit more until the call ended later on the mother and son had a meal together.

Do any of your ocs sing in I Do? If so, what do they sing?
Faith: Lover, possibly the Shawn Mendes Remix with Sam?
Mona: This Will Be (An Everlasting Love), and Beauty & The Beast with either Unique or Jake?
Aro: So Close from Enchanted (and a crossover duet with Brax)
Andrew: a undecided solo, a duet with Eleanor (who needs an FC still rip) & possibly the Jacob Siblingâs Broadway Lovers(?) medley with Rachel but that could also be in season 2?
Elliot: idk but definitely a love song dedicated to Sugar. (Red Means Love with Faith in crossovers.)
Brax: Shut up And Dance (for something a bit more up beat?) (or The Climb?)
(And definitely a group crossover number)

Far Cry El Industrial's Reign AU Post #6
[NOTE: I wish I could have made a more refined version of this, but this is the best I'm gonna post]
You know, the relationship between the Seeds and the Tumultite Distraction Team (Silva (kind of?), Azriel, Alexander Khaos and Nadi Sinclair) is something that gets me chuckling.
Mostly because by how much an outside-context foe the Tumultite inner circle is to the Seeds. Like, really, who could have guessed that this reserved group of business owners who run a diner are kind of unhinged and scary tactical?
At first the Seeds have to deal with Silva, the leader of the Tumultites (arguably, the most important and powerful member, like Joseph), strategically disrupting each regions' operations, with a "controlled chaos" if you will. Converting her to the cause would mean an assured victory against the Resistance after all (since the Tumultites would follow her to Hell and back). Besides, they've had their first meetings by this point (John's been personally tasked by Joseph to ensure she reaches Atonement, Jacob has just begun conditioning her, and Faith just got her to do the Leap). After their first kidnappings meetings with each other, the next time an attack occurs on their regions their automatic thought is "ah she's back for more".
But nope! It's not her at all. In fact, John, Jacob and Faith's regions are getting attacked by Nadi, Alexander and Azriel respectively and simultaneously, throwing the Seeds off with the level of destruction and skill these guys are capable of/have acquired.
And where's Silva at? Well, if Alexander, Azriel or Nadi are captured by the aforementioned Seed siblings, they'll answer along the lines of "she's at an important meeting with the Barons down in the Underworld, don't worry, she'll be back in a few days."
Now, if you think about it, Jacob would probably be the most miffed about it, as he just began conditioning Silva. Now he has to deal with an entirely different person. And unlike Silva, Alexander is almost impossible for Jacob and his Chosen to catch (perks of being a Ranger in the Whitetails and witnessing how the Chosen work). In fact, the only reason Jacob managed to even meet Alexander in the first place wasn't because he finally captured him, but only because Alexander got caught in his own trap that was meant for Jacob while practicing his monologue for the older Seed. Jacob having to deal with this grinning idiot who has the audacity to call him "Jake" and/or "Jakey", somehow breaking into the Veteran's Centre whenever he pleases, eating their rations, leaving notes to let Jacob and his Chosen know it is him eating the rations (I can imagine at one point one of the Chosen, John or even Pratt try leaving a note for Alexander to stop eating the rations, only to get a reply note the next day with that crudely drawn picture of the cartoon character Goofy saying "I'll f***ing do it again"), changing the sound of the Wolf Beacons into the playlist from Shrek (it's Alexander's favourite franchise), hiding so well that Eli "I've got eyes everywhere in the Whitetails" Palmer doesn't even know where the hell he is, leading Chosen onto wild goose chases and just overall testing Jacob's reserved calm and patience. All the while Alexander happily engages in conversation whenever Jacob makes the mistake to call Alexander on the radio. And Alexander is completely genuine, not even bothered by Jacob's curt attitude, just happy he gets to talk to someone from a more decent cult.
[Context: Alexander came from an isolated cult that were severely traumatised by some events during WW2 and enslaved themselves to a pill called "Joy", with the trauma passing down to the next few generations as it got taken advantaged of by Klaus Crawford into becoming a free testing ground for many pharmaceutical companies. Once Alexander left that cult (after being subjected to trauma and a new drug called "Glee" that never makes him stop smiling/looking happy because of the mass dopamine/serotonin production/overload), he was shortly found by Silva who happily gave him a place amongst the Tumultites. By comparison, Alexander believes Eden's Gate is far tamer than Wellington ever was (at the very least Eden's Gate doesn't kill their children or pregnant women)]
I'd guess John would be mildly pissed. Considering Joseph told him "ensure Silva atones, or the gates are shut to you", John would take it personally that Silva just up and left while leaving one of her lackeys to deal with him. So now he's got to focus on this new sinner causing him problems. However, how Nadi deals with his region isn't really... destructive. In fact, she's rather merciful to John and his region than Azriel and Silva had been. Instead of destroying the "YES" sign, she secretly painted on it, depicting some coral, incomplete jellyfish, and what is clearly underwater in the ocean. Then she starts filling the gaps between the words with blank canvases, until it's no longer a "YES" sign and is actually a painting of the ocean, jellyfish, coral and a whale's tail. And while breathtakingly beautiful to anyone else who sees it, it's doubtful that would be John's immediate reaction. Instead of destroying silos, Nadi and some other Tumultites decide to steal the fertiliser in the silos and transfer it to their own silo trucks, and any bliss canisters found are then driven out of the Valley and somehow disappear at the bridge to the Henbane, never actually confirmed to have entered that region (until Silva takes the Jessop Conservatory, which is a private affair that none of the Cougars nor Resistance know of, instead becoming a lab of sorts for Kamski Neon to do his experiments, especially with Bliss). When captured for Confession, Nadi doesn't tell John anything about her life nor her fears and secrets and sins and is rather unimpressed when he demands of it while pointing a sharp utensil at her, but vocally disapproves so casually whenever John tries to reach for one of the tools/knives/torture equipment in his tool kit and makes suggestions for which type is most effective or suitable for this type of torture and how to use those instruments in a way that doesn't kill the receiver but still leaves them uncomfortable and/or in enough pain to get the receiver to probably talk, both an indication to John that Nadi is intimately knowledgeable in the arts of torture, whether she's received it or inflicted it (likely both), and a subtle (heavily implied to be the case since Nadi has seen the dead bodies casted in funeral shrouds cast in the dark) nudge from Nadi in guiding John on how to shape out of his sloppy treatment of his confessors so he doesn't go too far and accidently kill them. Even if he does follow her advice, she still doesn't break a word but does encourage him to try this less risky (though still painful) technique on others to see how quickly they'll confess to him than before, while also giving him kudos for trying to use her own technique against her. Nadi mostly leaves John's ranch alone. Unless he's over there and its dinner time, then she sneaks in and strikes a sort of deal with him. On nights he's home, he allows her to join him for dinner without drugging, kidnapping or shooting her beforehand or afterwards and she'll let him ask his questions about her life, sins and secrets (with her being free to do the same, and their conversation must stay between them otherwise deal's off) until she's finished her plate, then questions are over, and John will have to wait another night till she freely confesses again. Whenever he calls her on the radio, she's as cheerful as she is in person, and still calm all the same, often engaging in some light-hearted banter with him. Always ending with a tender, "Talk to you later, John." Because she genuinely likes talking to him, and any threat he throws doesn't faze her, and never falls for his barbs that would cause her to stoop down to his level, while being patient when he wants to have a proper discussion without the unnecessary threats and wrath.
Faith, though? God bless her soul, because she'll need it. She's not dealing with an uncatchable chatterbox troll. Nor is she dealing with a reasonably mellow cheerful artist with a sniper rifle and a scary amount of knowledge on torture. No, Faith has to deal with Azriel. The daughter of the woman that Faith would rather be dealing with, since the worst Faith got from Silva was a suspicious glance/glare, and sarcasm, but often times the woman at least gave Faith the time of day. But Azriel really puts Faith's maternal role to the test. Azriel is the unruly chaotic demon-child to Faith's disciplinary, stern yet playful adult. Azriel is exactly like a game of Russian Roulette; you never know where the bullet is, and whether or not it's real or just a blank. Or in this case, Faith doesn't know what mood to expect from Azriel, whether her emotions are genuine or not, and the mood swings between "thinking Faith is the most badass woman ever (on par with her MamĂĄ, Silva) and someone she kind of respects" to "a decent if annoying religious bother figure that she mostly ignores" and to most commonly "the worst person she's ever met in the county". To summarise: Azriel is kind of like Faith in a way; Faith is either a sweet, free-spirited loving figure who wants the best for you or she's a vindicative and terrifying goddess of spite with powers that will give those most tethered to reality a literal mind-screw, while Azriel can either be a cheeky, playfully rebellious teenager or the literal foulmouthed goddess of chaos incarnate. Difference is that Faith is keeping by Eden's Gate rules and her violence is a) carefully constructed in an orderly fashion, and b) benefits only the Project, while Azriel's is painfully (for the Peggies and Resistance) keeping by her own questionable morals, values and beliefs that directly tie to a romanticised and simplified version of the Tumultite ideals, and her violence is a) unpredictable and frequent, and b) does not benefit her enemies (Peggies) nor allies (Resistance) in the slightest, with Silva and the Tumultites generally being spared from harm (while gaining little benefit from it depending on what Azriel's task was in the first place). Azriel's focus on the present also hinders any effort Faith can try to attempt at converting Azriel with, since Azriel's so focused on the now that she honestly could not care less worrying about the future, and therefore, the Collapse as well. And the level of chaos and destruction she causes is also the bare minimum of what she is actually capable of doing. And if this small level of destructive power is as detrimental to the Resistance as it is to Eden's Gate, then it's really best not to think about if Azriel was given free reign to do as she pleases (and the only authority Azriel respects is Silva, Grandpa Paul and Gavin Turquoise, two currently aren't in the county and the other is in the county but is only focused on being lookout for any Adam's Guard activity). Another fun comparison between the two is that Faith and Azriel are both embodiments of certain concepts (faith and chaos/tumult in this case), loved by majority of Eden's Gate and the Tumultites respectively, adored by their groups leaders (Joseph and Silva) and are hated and feared by everyone outside of their respective communities (Faith by the Resistance, Azriel also by the Resistance and majority of the Peggies, as well as Omar's Guard. Strangely the Tumultites don't feel any contempt towards Faith, and by their standards, her methods and achievements are impressive to them, with Silva often lamenting that she would have made a great Chem Baroness in the Underworld if things were different).
Plot relevant: Faith notices that Azriel's eyes are a familiar blue and that her voice has a mix of two accents; mostly Spanish (like her MamĂĄ's) but with a subtle and familiar southern drawl. Not to mention, Azriel's gazes are as intense as Joseph's is.
Things get worse when the trio decide to switch regions regularly, with the siblings having to deal with what the other complained about.
(Nadi deals Jacob with more caution than she does with John, since John strangely enough (as she's freely admitted to him) feels far safer than Jacob and opts to take a far more militaristic approach with the eldest Seed, while with Faith, Nadi loses a bit of grip on reality often but bounces back rather quickly. Honestly tries to build a kind of 'gossip girl' dynamic with Faith. Alexander is still a chatterbox of useless information to John (Khaos tells John all about the Shrek franchise and how much John needs to just chill out, while at the same time eating the Baptist's snacks at Seed Ranch that Alexander snuck in because lets be honest, that place has the worst security) and Faith (Khaos talks to Faith about medicine and pharmaceutical properties... and Shrek), but he doesn't find them as endearing as Jacob is to him. John despises Azriel, who is a brat to him, and an absolute nightmare whose actions encourage John's worst impulses. Jacob on the other hand is increasingly weary around her, especially when, later on, she storms into the Veteran's Centre herself, leaving one-third of it on fire, numerous bodies left behind, just to only get Silva out, completely forgetting about Pratt).
And then when Silva makes a return, there's a collective sigh of relief from both the Resistance and Eden's Gate, and if captured, Silva would ask if they enjoyed the company of her companions.

WES PARKER (Luke Grimes) is looking for their SIBLINGS.
CONNECTION NAME:
UTP, but surname should be Parker. It would be nice if all the siblings had western / country sort of vibe names, but completely up to you!
CONNECTION:
Siblings
AGE:
These ages are approximate. Obviously it will depend on the face you choose and what makes sense for their age according to Wes! Wes is 36, and is the second eldest of the four siblings. Sibling 1: 38-39 [ TAKEN ] Sibling 2: 33-35 [ TAKEN ] Sibling 3: 30-32
FACECLAIM:
Up to player, of course, but here are some suggestions for each sibling.
Sibling 1: Adam Demos (39), Travis Van Winkle (41), Boyd Holbrook (43), Matt Barr (40), Charlie Hunnam (44), Chad Michael Murray (43), Jesse Lee Soffer (40), Luke Mitchell (39) Sibling 2: Scott Eastwood (38), Sam Claflin (38), Austin Butler (34), Brenton Thwaites (35), Liam Hemsworth (35), Jake Weary (34) Sibling 3: Daisy Edgar Jones (26), Kennedy McMann (27), Abigail Cowen (26), Meghann Fahy (34), Jessica Rothe (37)
BACKGROUND
Just going to do dot points here for the sake of keeping it easy lol. Feel free to hmu for more deets!
The Parker fam were born and raised on Silver Creek Ranch, located on the outskirts of Briar Ridge Hills. It spans a thousand acres ish. Wes lives there now for the last six months- a year with his mom and his grandparents, and I imagine the eldest brother and their nephew living there. Perhaps the grandparents live in a separate cabin somewhere on the property, and maybe the eldest sibling does too.
Wes is the second sibling of the four children. There are three brothers, and the youngest is their sister.
Their dad was a famous bull rider who was away more often than not. He was kind of hard on the kids, and I feel especially Wes for some reason. He left them when Wes was about 11 years old for another woman. He was never really faithful towards their mom, and kind of always a crappy husband and father. The kids don't have that much contact with them, Wes - none at all. But it's up to you what youd like for your character!
The eldest brother is a father. Whether he is married, divorced, co-parenting or a single parent raising his son on his own, he has a little boy. I imagine their nephew to be about 7 or 8 years old, but I'm more than happy to change this! I just headcanon that Wes' nephew helps him read, so at least five years old would be amaaaazing! The eldest brother probably helps to run the ranch and very much gives cowboy vibes.
The younger brother (third of the siblings), most likely doesn't live on the ranch and is off doing his own thing/own career. Think Beau from the Chestnut Springs series. Now I do have a really fun potential plot involving Wes' ex girlfriend now dating this brother đ the more chaos the better, but if you're interested in this plot I'm down to discuss deets.
Their sister is the youngest of the clan, and the one who resembles their dad the most. She and Wes are as thick as thieves, and she's probably the only sibling/family member who actually supported his bull riding career. The brothers constantly feel the need to protect her because she's their baby sister, but she's feisty in her own right!
EXTRA
You can check out this pinterest board of their family, and also this one of their family ranch for some inspo!
Here is Wes' bio for more reference.

She's So Dead To Us - Kieran Scott
"Ally Ryan would rather be in Maryland. She would rather be anywhere, in fact, than Orchard Hill, site of her downfall. Well, not hers exactlyâbut when your fatherâs hedge fund goes south and all your friends lose their trust funds, things donât look so sunny for you. Her mother moved her to Maryland to flee the shame, but now theyâre moving back. Back to the country-club, new-car-every-year, my-family-came-over-on-the-Mayflower lifestyle that Ally has outgrown. One bright spot, however, is gorgeous, intense Jake Graydon. But it wonât be easy for the two of them to be togetherânot if his friends (her former friends) have anything to say about it. Is Ally ready to get thrown back into the drama of the life she left behind?"

Notes - Another library book! This one iâve been putting off because something about it just...doesnât draw me in. I canât explain it. Something about the cover and the writing together just throws me off. Itâs not the style of writing I usually like, but donât get me wrong, itâs truly not bad. Just different, and something I had to get used to. As iâm getting into the book, i realize that i really like the plot. It sets up a lot of drama and tension between all the characters and Ally, the main character. Faith is such a bitch, and they do good to portray her as one. It got my anxiety spiked just reading chapter one. After getting further into the book, you learn that its really reminiscent to mean girls in a way. Poor girl groups up with the outcasts to take down the rich kids and gets the guy in the end. Iâm starting to like it a lot. The reveal that Ally did something with Hammond is a good reveal, and its done so gradually that it makes sense. I kind of like how clueless and idiotic Jake is, because i think itâs very realistic to a lot of the men iâve interacted with IRL. I love the dynamic between David and Ally, and David and Annie. Heâs such a cute character, and him getting together with Ally was such a cute decision, even if itâs not end game. I think him helping her with her family is amazing and a great addition to this book. I think the cruelty of the cresties makes the book so interesting and dramatic, and adds a tone i wansât expecting when I picked it up originally. I like how Jake finds out about the Hammond secret, and it becomes a problem for him. The detention sequences are really nice and paint a picture of who Jake is as a person. The secret about Charlie is also deliciously dramatic, and i love how it all plays out The break up is written perfectly, and makeâs sense. Of course your boyfriend would notice you obsessing over some guy, and the talk of the macyâs perfume was such a memorable thing, like it actually happened to someone in her rea life. I like the filler parts in between the chapters of the messages being shown out, and how it shows how rumors spread fast. Itâs really good. I also like how Quinn and Ally are set up as step-siblings, and how Ally is freaked out by it. Itâs also very realistic. The partâs with Allyâs father are hard hitting and itâs drawn out enough where you get questions answered and the drama of the situations comes to a head in such a dramatic way that you just donât see coming!. The birthday scene is so sweet and i love how Jake remembered their conversation, but it was never meant to be, was it? I think i actually love that nobody was end game in this book, and i WILL be buying the rest of the series!Â
