been thinking about @arcadeology's Faewild recently sooo

Squeaky is Saki's companion. He is a crybaby and a glutton, loving to use his cute nature to charm snacks out of people. Saki accidentally saves him when she finds his faegem and brings it to the faewild- so he dedicates himself to being her constant companion, conduit for magic, and as a guide.... but he isn't great at that last part. He is naturally curious and enjoys helping her tinker.

A loose idea on how the magical transformations work in Faewild. An emphasis on the idea of Glamour as an identity changer and a bit of "mask" effect. I wish I could capture the feel of a magical girl transformation a bit better but ah well.

The faeries being the instigators in the transformation is very important to me. There is consent on both sides, even if it's begrudging due to a Contract.

When transformed, the hero cannot be recognised, because they no longer "look" like themselves, they in fact look like their faerie. So, for example, looking at Fi while transformed will feel like you are looking at Callie.

Can you tell us more about the Faerie Queen in Faewild? Like what is s she like, what does she do, etc.

the faerie queen is a source of sanity in the wild faewild, at least- to an extent.

Faeries are silly and airheaded, but she is the outlier. Focused, gentle, and kind. She gently guides her little faeries and they respect and love her in return. She also does her best to return humans to the human world, but the Faewild has an adverse affect on them and she cannot find and return them all the time. Sometimes, humans get lost in her realm and even she cannot save them.

However, unlike her faeries, she cannot enter the human realm. She is affected in the same way humans are in hers, so she must rely on agents such as Saki and Fi, or her faeries. She is very powerful, and her blessings can be recieved across worlds by using her Queenshrines.

She is ultimately a good character, she is prone to fae-like mischief and trickery. Perhaps a little like MLP's s1 Celestia/early Fanon Celestia?
