I know I've promised a new fic and my Requests are still not done...I am so sorry for that my friends 😔 I've just been really busy--I'm a part time, trying to be full time journalist and plus my etsy story commissions have made me swamped. Plus there's the little new occurrence of my neck and migraine issues but we are working through that! I haven't forgotten about y'all nor my stories, I have several of em either in my Google docs or my notebook waiting to be done. Thoughts on this person’s take that fae/faer is appropriating Celtic culture? At first I thought they were a terf but no, they hate terfs and apparently are dating a transfem. I'm a pagan who believes in the fae. It's not appropriation to use fae/faer even if you aren't Celtic and don't believe in the fae.

In my experience, pagans and Celts are not the ones expressing issues with fae/faer. It's people trying to speak for us and use us to justify exclusion that claim it's appropriation.

The fae are not a unique concept to the Celts, which means using the word cannot be appropriation. Many different cultures and religions all have different versions of the fae or fairies.

Plus the fact that the majority of us don't give a shit if you do. Almost every neopronoun supporting pagan and Celt that I've seen support the use of fae/faer or are at least neutral about it.

I can speak personally to many pagan circles supporting fae/faer (the main ones who don't are pagan terfs, which are unfortunately a big problem in the pagan community)

Pretty much the only argument I could actually see against fae/faer is that some pagans won't say "fae" out loud (since you never know when the Fair Folk are watching).

But I don't think that should stop anyone from using fae/faer if you want to. You officially have a pagan's permission lmao

you weren't quite used to the reaction you got from your favourite barista, felix lee, when you walked into your usual coffee joint this morning.

the moment he saw you walk in today, he literally shoved his other co-workers aside with a hasty "sorry, minho!" and took his place behind the register, ready to greet you by the time you walked up to it.

"welcome home, cheater," he uttered with the most hollow, shit-eating smile he could muster, gaze fixed on you as he watched your face contort into an expression of shock. he quickly blurted the next sentence out before you could respond: "didn't see you in the last three days. don't tell me you went to another café?" he was basically pouting at this point; you worked pretty nearby felix's café, so it was always part of your routine to stop by here to grab your usual order of warm vanilla latte. but for reasons unbeknownst to felix, who has developed the slightest infatuation with yours truly but refuses to admit it, you stopped showing up earlier this week. until today, that is.

your jaw literally dropped, as you noticed felix's fellow baristas whispering to each other and staring from behind the counter in your peripheral vision. you cleared your throat before responding carefully. "why, did you miss me?" you smirked, leaning against the counter.

"yes," the one named minho chipped in from the back before getting elbowed in the chest to silence by someone else you recognised to be chan, the manager.

felix gulped. was he that obvious? "n-no. just feeling betrayed, is all," he claimed, folding his arms against his aproned chest. "you were my favourite regular, you know."

"were? just because i didn't show up for three days?" you chuckled, as you watched felix's cheeks redden. the barista's eyes widened in shock at his own words, quickly waving his hands in front of him as he attemped to correct himself. "n-no! i guess i was, maybe, sad at the possibility of you finding better coffee elsewhere," felix almost whispered, eyes trained on his fingers as he fiddled with them behind the cash register.

"felix, are you jealous?"

he reached a new level of panic. "i-i'm not jealous. why would i be jealous? i mean, we serve some good ass coffee," he stuttered, hands gesturing towards the establishment's entire set-up. felix cleared his throat and straightened up, tugging on his collar. he noticed a few new customers strolling in since he started talking to you, so he'd better wrap this up before chan nags at him again. "i just didn't want to lose our best customer—who's gonna be paying our bills? it's like, do you even love us the same way we do you? like come on."

"who's we?" minho from the back, again. another punch to the gut.

you were just giggling at him at this point. you knew of his infatuation towards you—it is kind of obvious, not to mention the overt teasing from his colleagues—so it was just a matter of teasing him a bit. "if you must know, i was out sick the past few days," you chirped, while he punched your usual order into the system. "i would never cheat!"

felix, of course, completely bombarded you with questions about what happened and how you're feeling, even apologised for insinuating that you would cheat on his café. you assured him it's all good, and he eventually handed you your receipt, fingers brushing against yours for a second longer than they should. "sorry, felix, but you're going to have to deal with me everyday for a while," you quipped before moving onto the pick-up side of the counter.

"good, because i want to see you everyday."

Both the Calientes and Don live separately in their own homes. Originally my plan was do it just like in ts2– as neighbors! However, since i’m doing a Lovestruck gp i moved Don to ciudad enamorada in the penthouse lot to experience the world and pack features. Magisowo, one month ago me and my wife had our beautiful daughter. Last week, we noticed that the child had been swapped by a fae, and did the steps to demand our baby back. The problem is that I, perhaps foolishly, came to love the changeling, and demanded to keep both of the children. The fae who gave birth to our child demands that she be given back, but we are of the opinion that she gave up that right willingly. What to do? Is there even any lawyer who can help? We're very sorry you went through all that, it must have been an awful experience to lose your baby. From a human perspective we also completely understand the standpoint that the changeling is now also your own. When it comes to the culture and traditions of the fae, however, the matter is not quite so straightforward.

It is absolutely within your rights to report the theft of your child to the legal authorities, and there are several rulings of the High Court of Magical Justice that support granting at least shared custody over a changeling to both the fae and the human parents. But, if we may make a suggestion, consider contacting the Under the Hill outreach program first.

The fae connected to this effort have worked tirelessly for many years to improve human-fae relations, make cohabitation possible, and reduce the amount of incidents like the one you sadly went through. If the fae you are dealing with are at all inclined to listen to reason, there is a good chance the mediators at Under the Hill will be able to help you come to an agreement without having to go to court.

If you do want to go the legal route, we quite understand. In that case we can provide you a list of layers who are specialized in disputes such as this. But we really hope you are willing to try mediation first.
