“Let me get this straight. I, a Fae, have spent LITERAL CENTURIES studying the subtle arts of deception, glamour, deceit, and misdirection, and you, a mere human, can just stand there and say things that are untrue?!” “Yeah, that’s about right.”

Archeron sisters revelation (established relationship with Azriel, twin sister of Feyre)
The River House was alive with the sound of crackling flames in the hearth and the distant murmur of the Sidra beyond the windows. The Inner Circle gathered in the grand room, its high ceilings and elegant furnishings only adding to the tension that hung in the air. Feyre sat near Rhysand, her eyes wary, while Cassian and Azriel lingered by the wall, arms crossed. Mor and Amren watched with curious expressions, though there was a hint of unease beneath their calm exteriors.
You sat quietly, your gaze fixed on the dancing flames. Being Feyre’s twin, your role in the family had always been one of quiet sacrifice. While Feyre hunted in the woods, you had taken on a different kind of burden, one that involved sneaking through the shadows of the village, accepting dubious jobs, and dealing with people whose morals were as twisted as the thorns in the forest. You had done whatever was necessary to keep your family alive, but it was not something you ever spoke of. Only Feyre knew the extent of what you’d done—the things you had to endure to keep your sisters and father fed and safe.
Nesta’s voice, sharp and filled with disdain, cut through the low chatter. “You’ve always been a liar and a thief. And now, you’re nothing but another pretty fae with nothing to offer but deceit.”
Elain, as always, stood beside Nesta, her expression a careful mask of neutrality. She rarely spoke against Nesta, preferring to stay in her elder sister's shadow. But now, she nodded slightly, her gaze cast down, as if Nesta’s words were just another truth she quietly accepted.
You bit back the sting of Nesta’s words, the old familiar anger simmering beneath your skin. It was a feeling you had grown accustomed to over the years—Nesta’s biting comments, her constant judgment, and the way she seemed to look through you as if you were less than nothing.
“I’m done with your self-righteous act,” Nesta continued, her voice rising. “You’ve always been like this, taking the easy way out. Stealing, sneaking around, getting into trouble, while Feyre—”
“Enough!” Feyre’s voice rang out, sharp and commanding. She stood, her eyes blazing as she looked at Nesta. “You have no idea what she has done for us.”
Nesta rolled her eyes, scoffing. “Oh, please. We all know Feyre was the one out there, hunting—”
“Yes, I hunted,” Feyre interrupted, her voice trembling with the weight of unsaid truths. “But do you know what she did? Do you have any idea the lengths she went to? While I was in the woods, she was in the villages, taking on jobs no one else would. Stealing, yes. Swapping. Dealing with people who would have slit our throats if they thought they could get away with it. She did whatever she had to do, while you sat by and judged us both.”
The room fell silent, the crackling fire the only sound as Feyre’s words hung heavily in the air. You looked at Feyre, surprise and gratitude mingling in your chest. You had never expected her to speak up like this, to defend you so fiercely in front of everyone. Nesta’s face paled, her mouth opening and closing as she struggled to form a response.
Rhysand, who had been listening quietly, leaned forward, his gaze intent on you. His violet eyes softened, and a rare, solemn respect flickered there. “I didn’t know,” he said softly, his voice filled with a quiet reverence. “Thank you, for everything you did. I see now that it wasn’t just Feyre who sacrificed for the family. You did the same, in your own way.”
Nesta looked as if she had been slapped, her eyes narrowing as she turned her gaze back to you. But this time, there was no more fire in her voice, only a cold, hard wall of resentment. “I didn’t ask you to do any of that.”
“You didn’t have to,” Feyre shot back, her voice firm. “She did it because she loved us. Because she was willing to get her hands dirty in ways you never would. She didn’t have to be asked.”
Rhysand nodded in agreement, his expression still thoughtful. “It’s not easy to do what you did. To make those choices, to bear that weight in silence.” He paused, glancing at Feyre before continuing, “You both are more alike than I realized.”
Elain looked between Nesta and you, her eyes softening slightly, though she remained by Nesta’s side. The room seemed to hold its breath, the weight of your unspoken sacrifices finally laid bare.
Azriel had been silent throughout the confrontation, his shadows whispering around him, restless and agitated. His gaze was locked onto you, the dark depths of his eyes filled with a storm of emotions—anger, pride, and something deeper, something more primal that simmered just beneath the surface. He stepped forward, his wings twitching slightly, his posture taut as if barely containing the urge to cross the room and wrap you in his embrace.
He turned his attention to Nesta, his voice cold as steel. “You have no idea what she went through. What she endured while you sat in your father’s house, warm and safe. She fought for you, risked her life for you, and all you can do is spit venom.”
Nesta glared at Azriel, but she held her tongue, seemingly recognizing the shadowsinger’s temper was not something to challenge lightly.
Azriel’s gaze softened as he looked at you, his voice gentling but still fierce. “You didn’t deserve to bear all that alone,” he said, his voice a low rumble that sent shivers down your spine. “I should have known. I should have been there for you.”
You shook your head, offering him a small, weary smile. “It’s not your fault, Azriel. I didn’t want anyone to know. It was my choice.”
Azriel crossed the room in a few swift steps, his presence a wall of strength and quiet protectiveness. He reached for your hand, his grip firm and reassuring. “Well, now I know. And I’m here. I won’t let you carry anything like that alone again.”
The bond between you thrummed with his emotions, the quiet fury at Nesta’s cruelty, the fierce protectiveness that made his shadows coil around you as if shielding you from the world. He lifted your hand to his lips, pressing a gentle kiss to your knuckles, his eyes never leaving yours.
“You are stronger than any of us,” Azriel murmured, his voice so quiet only you could hear. “Stronger than you’ll ever give yourself credit for. And I am so damn proud of you.”
Feyre moved to stand beside you, her hand resting gently on your shoulder. “We wouldn’t have survived without you,” she said softly, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. “You’ve always been there for us, even when it meant putting yourself in danger. I’m so sorry it’s taken this long for everyone to see it.”
The room was silent, the weight of Feyre’s words settling over the gathered company. Cassian and Mor exchanged looks of quiet understanding, and even Amren nodded slightly, her sharp gaze appraising you with newfound respect.
Rhysand stood, offering you a small, sincere smile. “You are a part of this family,” he said, his voice carrying the weight of a promise. “And we are grateful for all that you have done.”
Nesta said nothing, her expression closed off as she turned away, a stubborn set to her jaw. But you no longer cared for her approval or her understanding. You had your sister’s love, the respect of those who mattered, and Azriel by your side—his hand still holding yours, his touch a constant reassurance.
As the tension in the room slowly ebbed, you felt a quiet peace settle over you. The shadows of your past, once kept hidden and buried, had finally been brought to light. And though the scars remained, you knew you were not alone in bearing them anymore.
Azriel’s thumb brushed over your knuckles, his eyes never leaving yours. “You’re safe now,” he whispered, his voice a solemn vow. “And I will always be here to remind you of that.”
You leaned into him, your heart full, and let the warmth of his presence and the strength of Feyre’s support wash over you. Whatever challenges lay ahead, you knew you could face them. Because for the first time in a long time, you didn’t have to face them alone.

How to be a High Lady? part 2
Eris Vanserra x Mate!Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: Reader's first meeting as a HL, Rhysand makes some comments and reader chews him out, then smut🤭
wc: 2k
warnings: Feysand slander, cursing and a shit ton of dialogue
a/n: the way there's so little of Eris here...sorry😔 but I'll make up for it if I make a part 3, with just the two of them, maybe their domestic lives and doing High Lord & Lady things in Autumn, idk maybe smut?
part 1
How they met
Tumblr media
Their morning was slow, starting with lazy cuddles in bed followed by an easy breakfast. Her daily meditation helped gather her thoughts and feelings about the meeting ahead, when she focused on it, she could see flashes of messy handwriting and a dark room.
Dressing for the meeting took longer than she'd expected, Eris being the last one to finish so he could match her dress, it had turned into a habit now for him to combine his vest with her dresses or corsets.
After getting through her first meeting, their arrival this time was easier, not caring if people were staring at her or whispering behind her back, she knew today would be tough and her mind was set straight. They were the last ones to arrive, which was weird, she'd made sure they weren't late. The meeting started smoothly, but it didn't remain that way.
"I'm just saying, it'd be better if we cooperated..." Feyre chimed in when no one agreed with Rhysand's words. After hearing those contradictory words she couldn't not intervene.
"No offense, Feyre, but I don't think you're the best person to say that." She said, hoping that it wouldn't cause Rhysand to come for her neck yet. Feyre was stunned for a moment, clearly taken aback.
"And why is that?"
"We can't cooperate if the other part is deceitful."
"Are you calling my High Lady a liar?" Cassian roughly uttered.
"No." Her voice was steady, not showing any traces of fear, because this time she was, in fact, fearless. "I'm saying, how can we know if you're trustworthy when most of your court doesn't even trust you? How can we trust that you won't ruin our courts, like you've done before."
"Again you go speaking of my court." Rhysand growled. "You've been High Lady for a day and think you know everything. Tell me, you seem so sure of what goes beyond my wards... have you been in my court before?" Every word he spoke carried an generous amount of venom.
"No, and I have no desire to do so."
"Then how the fuck do you know so much? Are you a fucking witch or what?" His eyebrows danced showing how pissed he was, apparently not knowing everything seemed to have that effect on him.
The possibilities of what could happen depending on what she responded were running through her head, her first response would be to deny but if she did and they figured it out, which they probably would eventually, she'd be a treacherous witch and that was...
"Yes. I am a witch." The silence in the room was deafening, her ears were ringing, "And so far, my powers have only showed me objects in need of help, faes, humans... courts. I do what I can to help them–"
"I've lived in Night Court for centuries, I helped them, I made things better, I ruled them, you have no right to suddenly decide the way I rule my court is not enough, you don't know." Rhysand growled.
"But I do," her words were firm, matching his tone, "They're not my people and its not my court, but they need someone to care for them, most people in Hewn City have never seen the sky above their heads because they're trapped under a fucking mountain. Have it ever occurred to you that there may be innocent people living there? Children, like your son–"
"Watch it–" Azriel spat. She changed courses.
"Have it occurred to you that maybe they despise you because you never showed them empathy? Instead of trying to gain their approval by providing you could be a good High Lord, you locked them up." She never faltered, every word was spoken loud and clear.
Night's High Lord was fuming, if yesterday she thought his eyes promised death, now they were death. Sharp pain ran across the thick walls she built around her mind, as if claws had just taken a hold of her brain, causing her eyebrows to furrowed as a sharp gasp left her mouth. Thankfully, she spent years working on her mind and everything beyond, and with a strong spell to protect her body, it wouldn't be so easy for him to get through her mind.
"Rhysand!" Eris hissed, his hand coming to rest on her shoulder. She needed to act before Eris attacked him, it wouldn't be pretty.
"If you wanted to see it for yourself, you could've just asked." She teased, but it was true, she would've showed him if he wanted her to. She opened her walls and launched him every memories she had of his people, every small shot her gift had shown her of them.
Rhysand's mouth twitched, his frown deepening. She wasn't sure if it was from being unable to break his way through her mind or because the image she told him about was true. Feyre's expression soured and she could imagine that they were having a mind conversation right at that moment, maybe he showed her the images too.
"That's not true" She said. Was that not enough?
"But it is."
"Certainly you've been wrong before." Rhysand uttered, his voice close to a growl.
"No. If it's shown to me, it's true." If they still didn't believe, she might as well tell them how it works, "If I see something, it's because it has happened or will happen soon, I'm able to differentiate them and when I can prevent them from happening, I do. What I showed you has already happened– has been happening for centuries."
"Have you seen things from other courts?" Tarquin's voice was hesitant, "Summer?" He eyes the other High Lords, all of them silently agreeing with his question.
"Well, yes. I saw Spring's downfall but it was too late, and–" Eris' hot hand on her arm made her look at him, searching for any traces that could show he wanted to maintain secrecy, she found none. "Autumn's genocide."
"That's why you took over..." Tamlin whispered, looking at Eris who gave a simple, almost imperceptible, nod in response.
"How long have you been seeing our court in your..."
"Memories. They're memories, from other people, from now and from the future. A couple years, at first I tried to gather information about what happened there but... it was well hidden."
"Oh–"
"Why'd you never say anything? If you were oh so worried about them." Mor sarcastically spoke. For someone who knows what is like living there, she's embarrassingly hypocritical.
"Would it have changed anything? By the time I stopped looking for them, Feyre was already here. Things changed–"
"And she became High Lady, did you not think you could have talked to her, if you're so sure I wouldn't have done anything." She should be cautious, but then, she had been playing with fire for over a century now. She was almost vibrating with the need to speak what she really thought, but her neck was at risk.
"What, little witchy lost her words? Or did your gift make an appearance?" Rhysand smirked at her. Fuck it.
"Feyre was barely fae at the time and being honest... she doesn't even have that much credibility does she?" His smirk fell, the room filled with dense darkness, hands tried to grasp at her but were pushed back by the wards she'd silently set around herself and Eris, knowing they'd come for him too. It was ancient magic, not that easy to break.
"Rhysand! Stop!" A chorus of commands for him to control himself. Eris' and Helion's power lit up the spacious room, the latter using his powers to hold and push Rhysand back, extremely bright light making the room clear again, after all, he was in his home court. In the midst of darkness, Eris had pulled her to her feet to stand behind him, their hands wrapped around the other's waist.
"If you can't control yourselves I suggest you leave, go fight somewhere else!" Helion shouted.
"Helion, I think this is a matter for our meeting, if she knows things, we should hear." Kallias spoke calmly, not trying to set any of us off, he glanced in Rhysand's direction, who was being held back by Feyre with a hand on his arm. Helion seemed to ponder Kallias words, eyeing her and Rhysand and their mates.
"Fine, behave, or I'll ban all of you."
"You can't possibly think I'll just stand and whatch her talking about my mate like that!" Rhysand spat incredulous, Feyre tapped his arm to gather his attention.
"Let's listen to what she has to say." Feyre said, looking back at her friends, trying to hold them back, Mor leaned back against Feyre's chair, where she'd been since they arrived, she'd gladly stand back and watch as Cassian and Azriel ripped Eris to pieces.
"Bullshit, obviously." Their General uttered, still staring her down until Eris blocked his view of her.
"Alright, continue..." Rhysand spoke, staring her up and down before sitting back in his chair, Cassian watched him before stepping back, Azriel still glared at her as he did the same. Clearly Rhysand had just told them to back off. "Go on. What were you saying about my High Lady?" She calmly pulled back from Eris, gently grasping his hand and pulling him so they could sit back down too, taking a deep breath before signing their 'enemies' certificate.
"Your own 'Inner Circle' doesn't respect her commands, how would she change the way a whole city runs?" Rhysand banged a hand against the arm of his chair while Feyre's mouth fell open, his growl echoing through the room before he lunged forward.
"Out, now!" Helion stood up and pointed to the door, "Now, Rhysand."
Rhysand was practically foaming when he left, snatching a hand around Feyre's waist before winnowing out, the other three following quickly after giving her nasty looks, if she didn't know them, she'd think they were cursing her. The tense atmosphere in the room was rough to bear.
"Are you alright?" A soft voice asked her. Viviane.
"Yes."
"That was really brave, badass." She smiled.
"Brave indeed, I can't tell if you're lucky or just that powerful. I don't know how you're still alive..." Thesan laughed incredulous.
"She wouldn't defy him if she didn't know she could take it." Eris smirked, squeezing her hand in reassurance. While she was bragging about her, she noticed Helion with his fingers massaging his temples.
"We can leave if you want, I'm sorry if we made you uncomfortable," talking a look around the room she noticed all of them looking at her, "any of you."
"I think Rhys needed someone to throw the shit he does to his face, none of us were really able to do it, you did, and it was nice to watch." Tamlin said, amusement written all over his face.
"I agree, the Inner Circle has done and said things we don't agree, but any time we tried to mention it they'd just turn the situation over, would pretend it didn't happen that way or that it wasn't so bad. Rhysand and Feyre both need to see that they're not as good and right as they think they are, someone to humble them could be of use." Tarquin smiled lightly and gave her a wink.
"Do they really not respect her? I had seen signs of it but... they seem so close that I just brushed it off." Helion waved a hand while speaking.
"Is not that they don't respect her, I think they just don't take her seriously. I mean, compared to them she is still a child, she grew up too soon but she's still immature. I don't know why Rhysand made her a High Lady but it doesn't change the fact that, he gave her the title, she didn't know anything about being a High Lady and barely knew anything about our world. Maybe she'd make a good one if she knew what to do, but she just sits and lets her judgment be set by what Rhysand says." She seemed to have a talent to make people go quiet. After a moment of silence, everyone pondering what they just heard, Day's High Lord spoke.
"You're definitely something."

sebek Zigvolt deserves more appreciation
him & rook hunt
They're just
I just
I just like them as so much as characters.
rook is unapologetically himself. He stays true to himself and his ideals no matter what anyone says. Even though literally everyone, including his closest friend Vil, thinks he's weird and even off-putting. Don't get me wrong about Vil. He and Rook are amazingly close but there are multiple instances where Vil finds Rook irritating. He is often told in some manner to curb himself, to tone down his passion for finding the beauty & positivity in all things. All he does is be unabashedly genuine & passionate & artistic & honest. He's also one of the few characters who is relatively kind to Game Canon You from beginning to end in game Canon. In multiple instances in his dialogue he invites others to join him in his hobbies and activities and despite being faced w/ hostility. Even on his birthday, Malleus did not want to go despite sending an invite-which yes Mal can have preferences - but still the fact that the King of lonely rejects an invite shows how fairly isolated Rook is. Yet despite criticism from all around, he maintains this unending positivity & drive to improve. I love Rook hunt
Sebek too. He is a very driven & honest Character. In multiple vignettes he is shown to be helpful, to Show care, to Show admiration for skill in his peers. Yes, he is standoffish. However, he is not deceitful nor manipulative nor does he seem to intend harm unlike a great deal of many especially early on. A lot of comments about humans seem to stem from internalized racism. There is a lot of canonical instances discrimination against fae, especially those who are notably different dwarves & the pixies. So it would be unsurprising if Sebek also grew up under discrimination AND scrutiny both from human community & the fae Community. We know that his grandfather Baul is very vocal about his disapproval of his fae daughter's marriage w/ a human. Yet despite this, he still does his best & still clearly cares. He grew up w/ parents who went against a lot of opposition to be together and are very loving and likely took some of that determination & attitude w/ him in life. He will give praise for skill and will help those he can. His circumstances & upbringing (Scrutiny & discrimination from both fae & humans, even his own grandfather though he mentions that progress has been made there). Despite all of this, he is doing his best and is a wonderfully genuine and honest and expressive and determined guy
So yeah
I love Sebek and Rook. They're great characters and I think they need more appreciation.
also these 2 put the Sebek appreciation way more eloquently than I

Fool's Bet [Hyrule + Reader]
You made a bet you shouldn't have. And almost lost.
Just something to share while my brain fizzes for while on the rediscovered trash heap. This is pretty rough, but I'll take some time later to edit it.
Masterlist

---
It was those eyes. That damned honey sweet gaze shimmering under thick, dark lashes and lighting up the delicate constellation of freckles dusting tanned cheeks beneath. It was the glossy tears (fat and shiny and fake as hell, but so damned pretty against the wide round of his dark eyes) rimming those lashes like a string of pearls.
It was the way earthy brown rings melted into golden specks of starlight peeking through the warm swirl of honey and chocolate. How light and shadows intermixed and brought forth an innocent (deceitful) glimmer of pleading. Like fairy chimes in the night. Soft as a whisper, sweet as peach flesh.
Dangerous. Tempting. (Chime.)
Trusted.
"Please." Hyrule pleaded (whispered? chimed?), those bewitching (enchanting) eyes locked on yours. Brows softened and pulled just so into an expression so beguiling, so ingenuous, it pulled a sweat to your own (manipulative, pointy-eared little bastard. damn fairy-borne liar and trickster). "I made it for you!" (Chime.)
You hesitated (a mistake. a death sentence).
Behind you War's quiet curse felt like tiny fairies' feet dancing upon your grave. Sky's mumbled prayer the solemn temple bell tolling over the final, sacred grounds at dusk.
Time gazed upon you with pity. And glee. The light of mischief shining in his hooded eye like moonlight on still water.
(Fairy boy, indeed. May cuccos sully your boots next you rest, farmer boy.)
Hyrule smiled softly then. Lower lip wobbling, the tip of his nose and curved sharp of his cheekbones flushed pink. Ears pinned tight against his thick, dark curls. Beautiful little waves that fluttered in the wind and curled softly against his face and delicate neck.
(The very picture of harmless vulnerability.)
(The perfect little mask. Hiding a gleeful little smile caged around a fae giggle.)
(Chime.)
Your heart thundered at the sight of it, and you swallowed thickly around the knot pulsing in the tender flesh of your throat. Your wide, searching eyes scanning, pleading, begging.
Eyes glanced away from yours in shame (Twilight having to step away entirely, lest he be drawn into a battle he has no chance of escaping unscaved. so moved to compassion as he is by your plight). Though some meet yours with amusement (may your pantless legs be besieged by ticks, bunny boy. And your beloved winds blow seagull shit into your hair, sailor).
(Chime.)
Warm (uncomfortably so. like sitting too close to an open flame), callous-roughened fingers touch the sensitive skin on the back of your hand, drawing you out of your internal cursing (and panic). And from one breath to the next, your lock eyes with the man (fae-borne. liar. trickster. trusted. enchanting) once more and your fall back down into the depths of an emotional whirlwind.
The gleam of honey and gold and enchanting (bewitching) (chime) light swirl in the melting warmth of brown. Dazzling and beloved.
Something is put in your hands. Warm (too warm) fingers wrap around yours.
(What is that?) (Chime.)
"It's good." Hyrule says (whispers? echoes? chimes?) reassuringly, brows still so pleading and eyes so sad. So sad. So sad.
White, straight bones caged by slips of pink, curled flesh. Gold and honey and-
Your hands are moving. Your eyes have not (cannot) break away.
"You can do it." Hyrule encourages (whispers? echoes? chimes?), his hands on yours. Moving. Guiding. (Chiming. Chiming. Commanding.)
A gasp. Someone has to support Sky as he goes feint. Legend's eyes are wide and intently focused. Bright, bright blue and fixated on the atrocity (and curiosity) being committed in front of him.
It's lost to you.
Your mouth opens. The gold is so strong now. Stronger than the honey. The brown. The light.
Stronger than you.
(You're salivating like a dog.)
"What in the Goddess' name are you doing?" Four was suddenly there (where did he come from?), his hand snatching your closed(?) fist away from your face (when had it gotten there?). His expression twisted in some unreadable combination of amusement and frustration. "Hylia give me the strength to deal with these fools."
The gold vanished. Hyrule's eyes dimmed to dark, honey brown. Expression relaxing into a small, embarrassed and natural grin (bright and warm as sunshine. nothing like the intoxicating honey sweet of before). "Don't be mad, Four! They bet me 50 rupees I couldn't charm them into eating my rations!" Four made a face that clearly expressed how much he didn't approve of such an idiotic wager.
None of that mattered to you though. Because you were free once more. Of body and of mind.
And you were holding to most putrid slab of meat you (and probably any of the chain besides Hyrule) had ever come across. The congealed grease of the half dried meat ribbons oozing between your fingers and weaving cold, shinning paths of pinkish-orange gelatin down your wrists and one unfortunate elbow.
On your bottom lip. Something cool dripped down your chin. Down your neck. Pooled at you collarbones.
Twilight, keeping his distance (from the horrendous stretch more than anything) but with eyes full of concern, cast you a pitying glance. "You okay there?"
Eight pairs of eyes found you. Just in time to watch you empty your stomach contents all over your grease streaked hands and boots.
Unsurprisingly, Hyrule was the only one who was surprised by this sudden turn of events. "The Meat!"
And somewhere in the forest, leaning over a freshly hunted buck, Wild's hand twitched with the unexplainable impulse to pinch Hyrule right on the ear. Hard.
---
Time to rest now.

Seriously, Chelsea has done so much for the Neris community so please go send her some love today! 🧡
What drew you to Eris Vanserra as a character?
I like that he dances around the truth and words are his weapons. He’s an enigma. How did he catch Azriel - the shadowsinging spymaster? What truth does he allude to that Mor hides? He’s one of the characters who seems more “fae” than others. I love this quote: “Amid the pink and white blossoms, the cold-faced Autumn Court heir looked truly faerie—as if he’d stepped out of the tree, and his one and only master was the earth itself.” That and there’s fire in his blood.
What do you think are Eris's greatest weaknesses?
I think Lucien is a big weakness for him. At the end of ACOWAR, we can see him look at Lucien with longing as his brother ignores him. For me, Lucien and their mother are probably the reasons why Eris hasn’t acted against Beron openly because they’re not worth the risk of gambling.
Can you give me a name for one of Eris's brothers? And also for one of his dogs?
I’ve named his brothers in past fics as Phelan (meaning wolf), Uther (meaning terrible), and Dolos (meaning deceit). And for his smokehounds: Adja, Vytor, and Safera.
Which SJM series would you give Eris to read and why?
Crescent City so he can empathise with Ruhn and Bryce about an autumnal ruling dad who is just as bad as his own.

I had fun writing this one, as Them is another one of my muses. Here I am expecting it to be super short and he was like NOPE! lmaoo I hope you enjoy! Also, I pictured the area they wake up in similar to/a mix between Lothlórien and Rivendell. Warnings/Genre/Rating: 18+ MDNI - Smut, Mature, Established Relationship, Yandere, Possession, Monster Features Word Count: 2,542 Kinktober 2024 Mini Masterlist
Golden light streams through the gaps in the trees, the leaves swaying lightly in the breeze. A canopy of crisp yellows, vibrant oranges, and soft reds hang overhead, glowing as they offer their protection from the elements so high up in the forest.
Large stone archways stretch all around, an intricately carved staircase winding around the trunk of the tree you currently reside in. The air is cool, but despite how open his room is, you do not feel an ounce of the morning chill.
Subconsciously, you snuggle deeper into the warmth of his embrace.
A soft smile tugs at Taemin’s features as he admires you sleeping in his arms. Carefully, he brings a hand up to trace over your features, revelling in the feeling of your skin beneath his own. Long since has he awaited for this moment, and knowing that you’re finally his is unlike any feeling he has ever experienced before in his life.
Taemin has always prided himself on getting whatever it is he wants, so when he set his sights on you, he figured it would be a walk in the woods.
You had other plans.
Every attempt to woo you was met with a disinterested stare, or a scoff in disgust. You had heard about his reputation - nothing being able to hold his attention for five minutes after he’s claimed it - and wanted nothing to do with him. You weren’t about to become another human seduced by the skilled lies and deceit of the Fae, let alone a Fae such as him. You wouldn’t allow yourself to be.
Perhaps it was a curse, rather than a blessing, that Taemin couldn’t take ‘no’ for an answer. Sure, he’s been denied in the past, but there was something about the irritated look in your eyes that made him want more. Normally, he would have moved on after being denied three times, since that’s usually how long it takes for someone to give into him. However, you were not everyone else.
Over time, his infatuation grew. He became obsessed with finding you wherever you went, and making you see him in a new light. You were perceptive, seeing through his silver tongue and thinly veiled half-truths that he attempted to use to sway your opinion of him.
He liked that about you, and the more time passed, he found himself looking forward to his interactions with you. You stimulated him, and not just intellectually.
It was then that he decide that if he couldn’t have you, no one could.
Your laugh was the most melodic song he had ever heard, your voice captivating him unlike anything before. Your stature was perfect in every way, especially for him. Countless nights had been spent fantasizing about how you would feel wrapped up in his arms, and nothing could have ever prepared him for the real thing. You both fit together like the stars in the sky - never one without the other, and should one disappear, only a dark void would be left in their place.
Not even the rarest of gems, or purest of crystals could compare to your eyes. The way they shone in the sunlight, or reflected in the moonlight, always managed to take his breath away. Your smile was like the first rays of sunshine after a cold winter’s night, warmth blooming inside of him every time he was lucky enough to catch such a wondrous expression on your face.
He needed to be the cause of your smile. He needed to be the source of your laughter. He needed you to care about him as much as he had started to care about you. He needed you to see how perfect you were for each other, and how he could always and forever give you anything and everything you could ever desire in this life, and the next.
More than all of that, though, he needed you.
Taemin spent hours thinking about you. Days, weeks, months. Almost every thought in his had been consumed by you, and even he could tell how it was affecting him.
He was beginning to change.
Taemin would never stop pursuing you, even if it was the last thing he ever did. He would follow you to the ends of the earth, always showing you how much better he’s become now that he’s found you. All he had to do was make you see the truth, and understand that you have both always been meant for each other.
After all, he would stop at nothing to have you.
Luckily for him, all of his hard work had started to pay off.
Slowly but surely, you were starting to open yourself up to him. It took a while for him to get closer to you, but once he did, he never let go. Finally, after all this time, you agreed to be his, and oh, how sweet it was to be rewarded for his patience.
The memories of last night that swirl through his head at such an early hour in the day are proof enough of that.
A tender smile pulls at his lips as he continues to admire your sleeping form beneath the warm glow of the rising sun. His fingers trace lightly over your cheek, eyes flitting over every feature and committing them all to memory. Never does he want to let go of this moment, nor does he ever want to let go of you.
You are his now, and he is yours. As it was always meant to be. As it should be.
Carefully, Taemin rolls you onto your back, making sure not to disturb your slumber. His tongue darts out to wet his lips, thoughts consumed by the very taste of you that still lingers from last night. He swears he can still feel the imprints of your nails as they scraped down his back, pulling him in closer to you as he buried himself deep within your tight warmth.
His eyes flutter shut, a soft exhale parting his lips.
Settling between your legs, Taemin begins tracing his fingers further down your body. Not an inch of skin goes untouched by him, admiring the way your scents mingle in the air. The fact that you smell like him, and him like you makes his head spin. Only, he wants more.
Love as clear as the moon shines in his eyes as he takes in the sight of you beneath him. Gently, his lips press tender kisses against your skin, beginning to make his way down your body. Each movement is precise, ensuring he doesn’t wake you just yet as he settles himself between your legs. His hands skim up your inner thighs, parting you gently.
He’s already had a taste, but that insufferable craving gnaws away at his last remaining shreds of his sanity. Besides, when it comes to you, he’s insatiable.
Again, his eyes flutter shut as he takes a deep breath in. Your scent surrounds his every sense, flooding his veins with desire and need.
A soft moan escapes his parted lips.
More soft kisses are placed along the skin of your inner thighs, Taemin taking his time to trace his lips over every inch of you. His hands hold you gently, thumbs circling over your flesh as he gets closer and closer to the apex of your thighs. His breathing deepens, body beginning to shake in anticipation the longer he holds himself back from just devouring you like he so desperately craves.
Finally, he gives in to his deepest desires.
Leaning into you, he traces his nose over your folds, inhaling your scent greedily. A chaste kiss is placed over you, followed by another, and then another. His lips press against your clit before he’s finally parting your folds with his tongue, eagerly tasting you just as he did last night.
A low, pleased moan rumbles from deep within his chest as he dips his tongue inside of you. The way your taste immediately drowns his every sense has his eyes rolling slightly, pressing in closer to you as he swirls his tongue around your entrance.
Pleased hums fill the air, taking his time to trace his tongue over every contour of your pussy. His nose bumps over your clit a few times before he finally brings his lips up to wrap around that pert little bud. Softly, he suckles your clit between his lips, eyes shining as he looks up at you fondly.
Your thigh twitches lightly beside his head, body beginning to squirm beneath his light ministrations.
He flattens his tongue, laving it over your clit before beginning to circle over it gently.
A soft moan fills the air, fingers tangling lightly in his hair and tugging him in closer. You can feel him smile against your clit as a deep chuckle fills the room.
“Good morning, Beautiful,” A tender kiss is placed directly over your clit. “Did you sleep well?”
All you can offer him in response is a low hum, whining slightly as you stretch beneath his touch. Sleep still clings heavily to you, eyes drooping as you attempt to focus in on your surroundings for the moment.
“Just relax, Dearest,” He coos, nuzzling into you gently. “I promise to take good care of you.”
With those words, his mouth is back on you, tongue slipping through your folds and teasing at your entrance. Not even a moment later, he’s flicking over your clit before suckling that little bud between his lips, humming contently at the way you moan.
Your fingers tighten in his hair, hips beginning to grind against his lips in time with his movements over you. Your body feels both light and airy, as if you’re floating on a cloud. Soft pants escape you, head spinning as you feel that all too familiar pressure building beneath the surface, already so close to snapping.
He buries himself deeper into you, suckling your clit eagerly into his mouth as his eyes beg for you to fall apart. His fingers dig into the skin of your hips, pulling you into him so that you can’t escape his touch. The way you’re already starting to drip down his chin makes a happy pride swell within his chest, flicking his tongue over your clit to coax you into bliss so early in the morning.
With one final flick over your clit, your whole body shakes, a loud moan escaping you. Tossing your head back onto the pillows, your orgasm washes over you softly, flooding your veins with a comforting ecstasy you’ve only ever experienced with him. Breaths escape you, chest rising and falling as you feel him continuing to suckle at your clit, keeping you suspended in pleasure for as long as he possibly can.
Guttural moans and soft growls reverberate against your cunt as he guides you through your high. His hands tighten on your hips, tongue unrelenting as his eyes shine with nothing but pure desire. The way your release drips out of you, and floods his tongue has something within himself snapping, the beast inside craving more.
In the blink of an eye, he’s flipped your positions.
A strangled gasp escapes you as you grip the intricately carved wooden headboard to balance yourself. Your thighs now rest on either side of his head, his face buried in your pussy as he renews his efforts over your cunt.
Your eyes go wide, back arching as he sucks harshly at your clit, giving you no time to recover from one orgasm as he begins to coax another one from you. Your thighs tremble, whining as you attempt to lift yourself off of him. The feeling becomes almost too intense for the moment as his lips and tongue desperately devour you.
“Taemin-“ His name is but a choked whimper on your lips.
A snarl greets your ears, his arms wrapping themselves around your thighs and pulling you flush against him. Harshly, his fingers dig into your skin, claws suddenly pricking against your flesh as he holds you down.
There’s no way in all of the many realms that he’s letting you go now. Not when you look this beautiful dripping onto his tongue. Not when he needs to feel you coming apart for him again, drowning him in everything you.
Flattening his tongue, he laves it in circles over your clit, staring up at you with dark eyes. Nothing but pure love, lust, and desire can be seen within his gaze, guttural groans echoing around the room as his hot breath hits your cunt with his every exhale.
“Give it to me, Dearest,” He pants out against you, tongue flicking against your swollen clit rapidly. “Flood me in everything you. I want it all.”
Another gasp escapes you as you feel him beginning to thrust his tongue into your cunt before swirling the muscle against your inner walls. Your hips automatically begin grinding down against him, the pleased growl he lets out making a pleasant shiver travel up your spine.
Gripping the headboard for dear life, your eyes squeeze shut. Already, you’ve become so sensitive to his touch, still having been recovering from last night.
Last night.
And you thought that had been intense.
A whimper slips passed your lips as you feel him slide his hands to your ass, squeezing the flesh appreciatively as he pulls you in impossibly closer. His lips wrap around your clit once more, shaking his head side to side as he harshly suckles at that pert little bud. From the way his chest rumbles with pleased growls, you can’t tell who’s enjoying this more in this moment: him, or you.
A shudder wracks your whole body, and with one final flick over your clit, your back arches in the air. A loud cry of his name escapes you, eyes squeezing shut as you suddenly still above him. Your thighs threaten to close around his head, high pitched moans and whimpers escaping you as your orgasm floods your every sense.
Nothing but pleased snarls sound from the Fae beneath you, his lips unrelenting as he helps you ride through your high. His fingers dig into the skin of your ass, keeping you pressed against his mouth as he swirls his tongue through your entrance. His eyes roll at the taste of you, chest rumbling as he feels you beginning to drip down his neck.
“More.” He growls, redoubling his efforts over you.
A whimper escapes you, eyes rolling at the overwhelming sensations flooding your body. You can barely catch your breath, head spinning as you’ve barely recovered from one orgasm only for him to continue to build you up for another.
You squirm above him, gasping at how sensitive your clit has become as he circles the tip of his tongue around that swollen little bud.
“Taemin-“ Your whimper gets caught in your throat, eyes rolling as he gives a particularly harsh suck to your clit.
A pleased hum escapes him, a deep chuckle emanating throughout the room. His eyes are dark as he stares up at you, holding your gaze to his as he smirks.
“Relax, My Dear,” He coos, pulling away from you for the briefest of moments. “I didn’t say I was done, yet.”

Azriel x Eris smut

Summary: Azriel and Eris search the unspoken words between them
Tumblr media
cw: porn with little plot, ass eating, oral, anal
Tumblr media
The moon hovered low in the night sky, casting a silver glow over the dense forest floor.
A gentle breeze danced through the leaves, stirring the shadows into a mesmerizing ballet of darkness and light.
A solitary figure, wrapped in the silence of the night, moved with the grace of a predator, the crackling of twigs beneath their boots the only sound in the stillness.
Eris Vanserra.
The sharp-tongued fae prince with a heart as fiery as his hair, stepped into a clearing, his flamed eyes scanning the horizon. He had been summoned by a cryptic message, the sender's identity shrouded in mystery.
His curiosity piqued, he had followed the instructions to the letter, eager to find the source of the intrigue.
The air grew thick with anticipation as he felt the presence of someone approaching from the shadows.
Emerging from the gloom was Azriel, the infamous spymaster of the Night Court, known for his cold demeanor and deadly efficiency.
His midnight wings unfurled, the stark contrast against the light fabric of his shirt billowed softly. He moved with the grace of a panther, his eyes narrowing as they fell upon Eris, his expression unreadable.
The two males had crossed paths before, but never under such clandestine circumstances.
"You came," Azriel's voice was a velvet purr that seemed to resonate in the very air around them.
Eris raised an eyebrow, his hand casually resting on the hilt of his sword.
"I'm not one to ignore a tantalizing invitation."
His voice held a hint of challenge, his eyes never leaving the shadowy figure before him.
Azriel's smile was a sly curve of his lips, the corners of his eyes crinkling with amusement. "Indeed, you're not."
He took a step closer, the fabric of his wings brushing against the tall grass, leaving a trail of darkness in his wake. "What do you seek, Eris?"
Eris matched the shadowsinger's step, his hand still on his sword. "The same as you, it seems."
His eyes searched Azriel's, looking for any sign of deceit or hidden intent. "An answer to a question that burns within us both."
The tension between them was palpable, a silent dance of power and desire. Each male knew the other's reputation, the whispers of their prowess and cunning.
Yet here they were, drawn together by an invisible thread that neither could resist.
"An answer," Azriel repeated softly, his eyes lingering on Eris's full lips. "But what if the answer is one neither of us wishes to hear?"
Eris's heartbeat quickened, the anticipation thrumming in his veins. He stepped closer, their bodies now a mere breath apart.
"Then we face it," he murmured, the heat from his breath mingling with the night air.
Azriel's gaze dropped to Eris's hand on the sword hilt, then back to his eyes. Slowly, he reached out and wrapped his fingers around Eris's, his touch sending a jolt of electricity through the warrior's body.
"And if it's a question that requires more than words to answer?"
The challenge in Azriel's eyes was clear, and Eris felt his pulse race. He knew the spymaster wasn't referring to a mere exchange of information.
This was a dance of a different kind, one that could lead to passionate surrender or brutal rejection. He swallowed hard, his grip tightening on the sword.
"Then we explore it together," he said, his voice a low rumble that seemed to echo through the clearing.
With a sudden, surprising move, Azriel stepped closer, closing the distance between them. His hand on Eris's was firm, but gentle, and Eris felt his own hand relax, the tension in his arm melting away.
They stared into each other's eyes, the air thick with the scent of the night-blooming flowers and the promise of something more.
In a heartbeat, the two male's swords were sheathed with a synchronized metallic whisper. The sound echoed through the clearing like a declaration of peace between two ancient enemies.
Eris's chest rose and fell with anticipation, his heart hammering against his ribs.
Their eyes remained locked, the unspoken question hanging in the air. Without breaking the gaze, Azriel leaned in, his breath warm against Eris's skin.
Eris felt his own breath catch, his eyes fluttering shut as their lips met in a fierce, possessive kiss.
The kiss was a spark that ignited a wildfire within them, an alchemy of passion and need that had been simmering beneath the surface for far too long.
Their bodies melded together, hands roaming over leather and fabric, desperate to find bare skin.
The soft groan that escaped Azriel's throat was like a sweet symphony to Eris's ears, urging him to deepen the kiss.
The spymaster's wings enveloped them, creating a private sanctuary amidst the openness of the clearing.
Eris's hands found the buttons of Azriel's shirt, deftly undoing them, revealing the dark sculpted muscles beneath.
Their kiss grew more urgent, tongues clashing and exploring, as they stumbled backward towards a fallen log.
Eris broke away for a moment, his eyes searching Azriel's for permission. The nod he received was all the invitation he needed.
With a gentle push, he laid Azriel down, their bodies aligned, chests heaving.
The moonlight painted the spymaster's skin in an ethereal glow, illuminating the scars that told a thousand silent stories of battles and pain.
Their kisses grew frantic, teeth grazing and tongues dancing. Eris's hands slid over the firm contours of Azriel's chest, tracing the lines of muscles that rippled beneath his fingertips.
He felt the winged faerie shiver at his touch, his breath hitching in a silent gasp. Eris's heart swelled with a strange tenderness, a stark contrast to the burning need that consumed him.
Pulling back slightly, Eris studied Azriel's face, the play of emotions that flickered in the moonlit darkness. He saw the warrior in him, the cold, calculating gaze that had earned him his fearsome reputation.
...but there was something else, something vulnerable, that made Eris's chest ache.
He leaned down, pressing feather-light kisses along the strong line of Azriel's jaw, feeling the stubble of his beard against his lips.
With a gentle touch, Eris traced the line of Azriel's neck with his tongue, tasting the salty sweetness of his skin.
Azriel's hands found their way into Eris's hair, gripping tightly as Eris's kisses grew more insistent, his teeth grazing the sensitive flesh.
The spymaster's breathing grew ragged, his body arching slightly off the log as Eris moved lower.
When Eris reached the top of Azriel's pants, he paused, looking up to gauge the reaction in the other male's eyes. The hunger he saw there was unmistakable, and it sent a thrill of power through him.
With a smoldering smile, Eris undid the fastening of Azriel's pants, revealing the erection that strained against the fabric of his underclothes.
He took a moment to appreciate the size and beauty of it, the tip glistening with arousal.
"Seems like someone's been keeping secrets," Eris said with a smirk, his voice low and teasing.
Azriel's eyes narrowed playfully. "And you, Eris, seem to enjoy unraveling them."
Eris chuckled, his hand curling around Azriel's length. "Oh, I do love a good mystery," he murmured, stroking the velvety skin with a featherlight touch.
The spymaster's hips bucked, a guttural moan escaping his lips. He tightened his grip on Eris's hair, urging him closer.
Eris obeyed, his eyes sparkling with mischief as he took the head of Azriel's cock into his mouth.
The taste was intoxicating, a mix of male musk and the essence of power that was uniquely Azriel.
The spymaster's hips began to move in a steady rhythm, guiding Eris deeper.
Eris's own desire was a living, pulsing thing, demanding release. He worked Azriel's length with eager strokes, his tongue swirling around the sensitive tip.
The feel of the velvet steel in his mouth was maddening, and he could feel his own erection pressing against his pants.
But this moment wasn't just about pleasure; it was about claiming something that had been denied to them for too long, about breaking down the barriers that had kept them apart.
The moans that escaped Azriel grew louder, more feral, his hips rising to meet Eris's ministrations.
Eris's eyes never left Azriel's, watching the play of emotions - the surprise, the pleasure, the surrender - that flickered in those dark pools.
He took him deeper, savoring the way Azriel's eyes rolled back in his head, the way his chest heaved with each ragged breath.
The spymaster's grip on Eris's hair tightened, his hips moving in a rhythm that was as old as time itself.
"Fuck, Eris," Azriel breathed, the words a desperate plea and a command all rolled into one. "Take it all."
Eris's smirk grew wider as he felt the power of Azriel's response.
He swallowed down the spymaster's cock, feeling the heat and pulse of him, the velvet hardness that spoke of unbridled passion.
He could feel Azriel's heart hammering in his chest, the throb of his arousal echoing the beat of the night around them.
The spymaster's wings twitched and fluttered as Eris worked him, the shadows playing over the leathery veins like living tattoos.
Each gasp and groan from Azriel was music to Eris's ears, fueling the fire that burned within him. He knew he had the power to shatter the facade of the infamous shadowsinger, to reveal the male beneath the mask.
Their movements grew more frantic, the sound of fabric tearing as Eris's own clothes were discarded.
The cool night air kissed his skin, heightening the sensation of Azriel's body against him.
He could feel the tension coiling in the spymaster's muscles, the beginnings of his release.
But Eris wasn't done yet. He pulled away, leaving Azriel panting and desperate. "Turn over," he instructed, his voice a rough whisper that sent shivers down the other male's spine.
With a flicker of doubt in his eyes, Azriel complied, his wings folding in tightly as he presented his back to Eris.
The warrior took a moment to appreciate the sight of Azriel's strong, sculpted back, the play of moonlight across the scars that criss-crossed his skin.
The spymaster's breathing was heavy and uneven, his body trembling with anticipation.
Eris knelt beside Azriel, his hand caressing the taut muscles of his thigh. His touch was feather-light, teasing, as he traced a path up to the curve of his ass.
The shadowsinger tensed, his eyes fluttering closed, and Eris felt a thrill of power knowing he could elicit such a reaction.
He leaned in, his breath hot against Azriel's skin, and kissed the tender flesh.
The first brush of Eris's tongue against Azriel's hole was electric, sending shockwaves through the spymaster's body.
He bucked, a cry torn from his lips, the pleasure so intense it was almost painful. Eris held firm, his grip on Azriel's hip keeping him in place as he explored the uncharted territory with a hunger that was insatiable.
His tongue delved deeper, tasting the musky sweetness that was uniquely Azriel's.
The spymaster's body was a landscape of pleasure and Eris was eager to conquer every inch.
"You're mine," Eris whispered, the words a declaration and a promise. "Tonight, and every night that follows."
The dominance in Eris's voice sent a shiver down Azriel's spine. He knew Eris was a prince, warrior, and in this moment, he was willing to be conquered.
With trembling hands, he reached back, gripping Eris's shoulders, his nails digging in slightly as the prince's tongue worked its magic.
Eris felt Azriel's body tense and release with every stroke, the spymaster's breath hitching and moaning with each caress. His own cock was hard and aching, demanding attention, but Eris was determined to savor every second of this newfound intimacy.
He traced the edge of Azriel's entrance with the tip of his tongue, the taste of him intoxicating.
With a growl of need, Eris stood, his hand guiding his throbbing erection towards Azriel's slickened hole.
He didn't ask for permission, didn't wait for consent; the heat between them was consent enough.
The head of his cock nudged against Azriel's opening, the anticipation almost unbearable. He watched as the spymaster's wings twitched, his knuckles turning white from the grip he had on the log.
Slowly, Eris pushed in, feeling the tightness yield to his intrusion.
Azriel's purring moans grew louder, his body arching as Eris sheathed himself completely.
The feeling of being inside him was unlike anything Eris had ever experienced, a mix of power and vulnerability that shook him to his core.
He paused, his forehead pressed against Azriel's back, their bodies connected in a way that transcended the physical.
Their movements began as a slow, torturous dance, each thrust measured and deliberate.
Eris savored the way Azriel's body clenched around him, the way the spymaster's moans grew more desperate with each pass.
The sound of skin slapping against skin filled the clearing, a primal symphony of passion and desire.
The scent of arousal hung heavy in the air, mixing with the sweetness of the night-blooming flowers.
As Eris's rhythm grew more urgent, so too did the shadows that coiled around Azriel's body. They slithered upwards, caressing his skin like the darkest of lovers, whispering sweet nothings in his ear.
The shadows grew more solid, more tangible, until they were coiled around his cock, eager to serve their master.
They stroked him in time with Eris's movements, the contrast of cold and warm sending shockwaves through his body.
Eris felt the shadows, the power that was uniquely Azriel's, and his own passion grew in response. He gripped the spymaster's hips tighter, his thrusts becoming more forceful.
The clearing around them seemed to pulse with energy, the very air vibrating with the intensity of their joining.
The night itself seemed to hold its breath, waiting for the moment when they would reach their peak.
The lewd sounds of their union filled the space between them, the slap of skin and the wet suction of Eris claiming Azriel's body.
Eris's eyes were closed, lost in the sensation of being inside the man he had craved for so long. He felt the tension in Azriel's body, the spymaster's muscles tightening around him, urging him deeper, demanding more.
"Yes, Eris," Azriel breathed, his voice thick with pleasure. "More."
Their cries grew louder, echoing through the clearing, a symphony of pleasure that seemed to resonate with the very soul of the forest.
The moon above them was a silent witness to their union, the light casting an erotic tableau of shadows and skin.
The air was charged with the scent of arousal and the musky tang of earth, the sounds of their passion a testament to the depth of their desire.
Eris felt his own release building, the pressure coiling in his balls, demanding release.
His hips slammed into Azriel, his teeth sinking into the spymaster's shoulder as he claimed him fully.
The shadows around them grew more frenzied, the dark energy feeding off their desire. The power of the Night Court spymaster pulsed through Eris, making him feel invincible, like he could conquer the world.
But it was the tremble in Azriel's voice, the desperate, pleading tone that had Eris's heart racing.
He knew he couldn't hold on much longer, the tension too great to bear.
With one final, powerful thrust, Eris felt the warmth of Azriel's climax wash over him, the shadowsinger's body convulsing with the force of it.
The shadows grew darker, more intense, wrapping around them like a living blanket of pure, unadulterated pleasure.
"You're so good for me" Eris whispered, his voice hoarse from the cries of ecstasy that had torn from his throat.
The words sent a warmth through Azriel that was far more potent than any aphrodisiac.
Eris felt something shift within him, a barrier crumbling, revealing the raw, unfiltered emotion that had been buried beneath layers of sarcasm and bravado.
"You're everything," Azriel gasped, his voice barely above a whisper.
Their bodies remained connected, the tremors of their shared release slowly subsiding.
Eris leaned over, his chest pressing against Azriel's back, his breathing ragged. He kissed the damp skin of Azriel's neck, feeling the rapid pulse of the spymaster's heart.
The shadows retreated, the energy dissipating into the night as if they had never been there.
For a moment, they simply lay there, the only sound their mingled breaths and the rustle of leaves in the breeze.
Then, with a sigh, Azriel turned over, his eyes meeting Eris's.
The intensity of their gaze was unchanged, the desire still smoldering, but now there was something else - a spark of hope, a glimmer of something softer.
The spymaster reached up, his hand cupping Eris's cheek. His thumb brushed over the prince's lower lip, the gesture tender and intimate.
"You make me feel alive," he murmured, his voice husky, laced with bliss.
Eris's eyes searched Azriel's, the depth of emotion in his gaze unmistakable.
"And you, Azriel, make me feel like I can conquer the stars," he replied, his voice thick with feeling.
Their kiss was gentle this time, a stark contrast to the passionate frenzy of moments before.
It was as if they were discovering each other anew, exploring the tender softness beneath the hardened exteriors they had cultivated.
Eris's hand slid down to Azriel's chest, feeling the steady throb of his heart beneath his fingertips.
The spymaster's hand mirrored his, resting over Eris's own heart, the warmth of their skin a stark contrast to the coolness of the night.
Eris pulled Azriel closer, their foreheads touching, their eyes closed as they savored the feeling of their hearts beating in sync.
The tender kisses that followed were a gentle exploration of each other's bodies, a silent promise of more to come.

Day 1 - Fated
Tumblr media
Summary: One moment. All it takes is one singular moment to change the trajectory of fate. Following the events of Hybern, everything changes when Lucien instinctively grabs his mate—Elain Archeron—and brings her back to the Spring Court with Feyre and Tamlin.
In the midst of war and ruin, Elain and Lucien will have to face the bond that connects them together if they hope to survive the unintended consequences. To do so, they’ll have to prevail through games of deceit, powerful forces of magic, and deadly enemies. And hope their hearts survive the journey.
A retelling of A Court of Wings and Ruin (ACOWAR) and a Canon Divergent AU.
Notes: Happy @elucienweekofficial!!! Chapter 2 is for Day 1: Fated.
Start on AO3 | Read Chapter 2 Here
It was all so beautiful, even if she was miserable. Elain turned from one side to the other, facing the window that opened to a perpetual Spring breeze and the most extravagant rose bushes she had ever seen in her life. If she had still been human, she would have thought the land was paradise. That it was every dream come true. Instead, she was stuck in this foreign Fae body and skin that did not belong to her.

Spending time with a King~
“And just where have you been this afternoon? Not keeping secrets from your King now are you?”
“Of course I am, I’m just a master of deceit you know. You’ll never be able to discover my secret plans to escape tonight.”
“Really? Well a masterful fae with such abilities will have to be watched closely, which means I’ll be spending the rest of the evening accompanying you to ensure your plans of escape fail.”
*giggle* “Oh darn, I’ll have to retreat to the garden to form a new plan for tomorrow night.”
“Or you could just ask, I’ll always make time for you my Love~”

Note
Can we technically keep secrets as Fae- particularly from Dream or Nightmare? or would they be able to more or less sniff it out?
fae can't lie, so you'd have to keep the secret by simple avoiding the topic all together. lies by omission are harder to identify, so they'd be relying on any tells you might have or strange behaviour. it's entirely possible to keep a secret from them like this, provided you can act totally natural and avoid being asked about it. your only options if they do ask you about it is to tell the truth or keep silent, but they'll be very suspicious if you don't answer a direct question.
if you're still human it's even harder to keep secrets from them-- both kings can tell when humans are lying. they can, quite literally, taste the deceit.

For the People who think Elain will be Evil in the upcoming book :
Masterlist, Reasons why Elain is unlikely to turn evil in the next book:
1. Evolving Attitude : Elain used to harbor hatred towards the fae, similar to Feyre and Nesta, but she has since shown a willingness to help and appreciation for their customs while Azriel harbors negative feelings towards an entire race , many of them innocent , and does nothing to help them get better .
2. Compassionate Actions : Despite Azriel's negative feelings towards the Illyrians, Elain has not exhibited any such biases and has shown compassion towards others, including her efforts to help those in need.
3. Absence of Violent Tendencies : While Azriel has displayed violent behavior, such as nearly choking Eris to death, Elain has not shown any inclination towards such actions.
4. Internalized Issues : Azriel is depicted as harboring the most internalized issues among the characters, whereas Elain does not display similar signs of internal turmoil or bitterness.
5. Lack of Manipulative Behavior : Elain does not exhibit manipulative behavior or deceitfulness, contrasting with Azriel's ability to manipulate conversations and hide his true feelings.
6. Communication Style : Azriel struggles to open up and communicate openly with others, even to his close friend Cassian, whom he has known for 500 years , while Elain does not demonstrate similar difficulties in communication.
7. Allying with Questionable Characters : Elain is unlikely to ally with morally questionable characters, such as those who kidnap innocent individuals, which is not consistent with her character traits.
8 . Rejection of Prejudice : Elain does not display prejudice or hatred towards specific groups, unlike Azriel who harbors animosity towards the Illyrians based on their heritage.
9. Empathy and Kindness : Elain is characterized by her empathy and kindness towards others, traits that are not indicative of a potential descent into evil or villainy.
10. Consistency in Characterization : The narrative portrays Elain as a compassionate and caring individual, whereas Azriel's characterization includes traits that may lead to morally ambiguous actions, suggesting that Elain is unlikely to undergo a sudden transformation into a villainous figure.
Conclusion : No Elain isn't evil but I do wish She'd whack some individuals who require it .

(continuation from this)
Nothing the Unseelie offered ever came without strings attached.
Every sentence was a trap spun of words, waiting to be sprung on them. So Techno decided to leave the rest of the envoy behind. He told the other guards to make camp while Techno himself would meet with Wilbur's family. One wrong move could see them in big trouble. Techno couldn't leave this task up to anybody else, much as he'd love to skip any sort of social interaction.
But man, did he hate it.
Wilbur's father was a lot like him, all sharp angles and sharper smiles. His eyes had a piercing blue color though their coldness was somewhat undercut by the long, blond hair that framed his face. Techno knew that keeping his distance would be key. That was a little hard when he was sitting on a chair drinking tea with the guy, however.
"More tea?" Phil asked sweetly.
"I would like to discuss what I came here for now," Techno answered. "If it wouldn't be too much trouble, of course."
Seelie laws of politeness would limit his freedom, even when negotiating with Unseelie. It was a pain.
"Are you in a hurry?" Phil inquired.
Techno tried not to scowl. He couldn't lie. It was not something Seelie fae were capable of.
"My delivery is time-sensitive," Techno said.
"How so?"
And while they couldn't lie, they could refuse to answer. Techno took another sip of his tea.
"My son said you require directions to get through our territory. Did whoever tasked your envoy not think of that before you set out? I thought Seelie were supposed to be better strategists than this."
"Like I said, the delivery is time-sensitive," Techno answered with a shrug.
Phil nodded. Techno didn't like the way he glanced down at Techno's cup over and over again. The taste didn't seem off to him. Did he have anything to worry about?
"Well, I don't see why we wouldn't be able to guide you through our lands. It's too treacherous for a stranger to go alone, but I'm sure we could provide." Phil smiled, leaning his arm on the table. "For a price."
"Wow, I'm so incredibly surprised," Techno said.
Much to his horror, Phil's grin stretched wider. "Wilbur was right, you are fascinating."
"What-"
"It's nothing," Phil said quickly. "Or nothing you need to worry about." Techno felt that telltale ache in his head, betraying the deceit of those words. "The price of our guidance is simple. Will you agree?"
"Not before I know what the price is." Techno wasn't a complete idiot.
"You." Phil leaned closer, fingers toying with the strap of Techno's pauldron and deliberately avoiding the gold that would burn him. "Your presence, that is. We guide your men, we'll let you see them off. But you stay with us for a little while."
Techno couldn't help but notice Phil avoided mentioning a specific time frame. With how important his convoy was though, he might not be in a position to refuse.
"Why me?"
"Have you ever met a Seelie that could lie before?" Phil asked. Techno's brow furrowed in confusion. "Earlier, you said you were surprised when you weren't."
"I was being sarcastic," Techno said.
"Well, have you ever met a Seelie that knew the craft of sarcasm before," Phil joked.
Techno hadn't. It was one of the reasons he was an outcast in his own village. His blunt honesty, the way he couldn't /get along/ with people, his scathing humor.
"The handle of that teacup," Phil said softly, amusement lacing every syllable. "It is made of iron. Shouldn't it burn you?"
Dread was a detached feeling building in Techno's gut. "I'm not Unseelie," he said.
"You're not," Phil agreed. "But you're not Seelie either. How delightfully interesting, hm?"
And Wilbur's statement during their meeting echoed through Techno's brain again. 'We only take what’s interesting to us.'
"So," Phil asked, "do we have a deal?"
