"Le Jaune" Airship
The airship, Le Jaune, built by France’s Lebaudy brothers, glided past the Eiffel Tower in Paris at 11:15 a.m. on November 20, 1903.
The name Le Jaune (“The Yellow”) came from a coat of yellow lead chromate that was used to seal the airship envelope.
They constructed an airship hangar at Moisson, near the River Seine downstream from Paris and were instrumental in the development of airships, and a series of semi-rigid airships in the early years of the twentieth century.

"Colossea"
Colossea is a megayacht with a detachable superstructure, and that superstructure just happens to be a blimp. It's not just any blimp, though: it's a modern interpretation of the iconic, history-making Norge (ex N1), which marked the first verified expedition to the North Pole on May 12, 1926.
The creation of Roald Amundsen and Lincoln Ellsworth was piloted to glory by Captain Umberto Nobile at a time when humanity's dream of flight was just beginning.

What we need to do is convince all the disney adults in america that high speed rail would be a preferable way of getting to disneyworld compared to driving or flying. We could maybe harness their fondness for the monorail or something, but this is a group of people that has time, income, and passion that we could leverage. If we could direct 5% of the enthusiasm they have for limited edition popcorn buckets into calling their representatives and demanding high-speed interstate rail, we could get it by 2030

I see the fandom’s “Ambassador of the Southern Water Tribe” Sokka and raise y’all “Emerging Technologies Advisor, Sokka of the Water Tribe.” Working with all the nations as a emissary for scientists and engineers, introducing these new techs to world leaders and brainstorming ways to integrate them helpfully into society — really, he just gets to travel a lot and mess around with machines and I think these are two things that Sokka would excel so so very much at
thiiiisss this so much this his ass would Not settle in the fire nation permanently!!! he travels all over the world!! he sees and learns all the things he couldn’t experience while ending the war!! he fixes things everywhere he goes as easy as breathing. he’s the one behind the southern water tribe cultural center in republic city and behind this huge ass ‘fuck you zuko try to destroy this now’ watchtower/lighthouse in the swt capital.

he has a traveling food critic column and a published haiku collection and fifteen new inventions patents and is just as fundamental for bringing on an age of peace and prosperity as anyone else. so yeah emerging technologies advisor, poet, swordsman, inventor, councilor, storyteller, warrior, artist, white lotus member, food blogger, pai sho champion, trendsetter sokka of the southern water tribe ftw forever amen
